QNT Rally Is Now Out of Steam: What Will Happen Next?

Quant (QNT) faces further sideways trading or a deeper pullback as the market cools off from the sharp rally to $374 in late September.

In a post on X, analyst Sebastian said QNT’s jump to $374 was strong and came with high trading volume. Since then, the price has fallen to around $195 but is now ranging around $250, while trading volume has declined.

At the time of the analysis, QNT was trading at about $256.34, up 1.92% for the day. The price was close to its short-term moving averages: $256.31 for the five-period average and $251.64 for the 10-period average. Its longer-term 30-period average stood at around $224.95.

Sebastian said the move does not look like a crash. Instead, it follows a common pattern after a major rally: initial buying slows, and the market needs fresh buyers to sustain the upward move.

In simple terms, QNT will either trade sideways or fall toward its lower moving averages if new buyers fail to enter the market. As Sebastian put it, “The easy gains are gone.”

Quant (QNT) Bulls Have One Positive Sign

One factor supporting QNT buyers is the token’s negative funding rate. Funding stood at around -0.21%, meaning traders betting on a price decline (shorts) are paying traders betting on a price increase (longs). If QNT rises sharply, some short traders will be forced to close their positions, potentially triggering a rapid price increase.

However, Sebastian said negative funding alone is not enough to drive QNT higher. The market still needs fresh buyers, and the chart shows no strong signs of new demand.

Open interest, which measures the number of active futures positions, has also remained relatively stable after rising during QNT’s earlier rally. This indicates that few new traders are entering the market.

$250 Is an Important Level for QNT

Sebastian identifies the $250 area as a critical support zone for Quant. If QNT remains above $250–$252, the current upward trend remains intact. The price can trade sideways or gradually recover toward $280–$300.

A break below the 10-period moving average would weaken the setup. A drop below around $225 would be more concerning. It would signal that the recent upward move has ended and put QNT at risk of a deeper decline.

Meanwhile, a break above its recent lower highs accompanied by higher trading volume would signal buyers are returning.

Essentially, Sebastian expects QNT to trade sideways or cool further rather than quickly reclaim its $374 high. Holding $250–$252 keeps the recovery setup intact, while a break below $225 would open the door to a deeper decline.

Interestingly, several other analysts share this view. On X, The Crypto Authority noted that QNT is trading within a tightening triangle following its strong September rally. He sees two possible outcomes: a bullish breakout above $300 opens the path toward $420, while a bearish breakdown sends QNT back toward the low-$200s.
