Expert Says Move is Coming for XRP as It Loses 20-Day EMA Support

0

A notable analyst insists that XRP could be set for a definitive move after the asset lost major support on the daily timeframe.

XRP continued its patchy run yesterday, shedding 6% to close at $2.1537. However, the XRPL native token has rebounded slightly today, taking its weekly change to a positive 3.76%.

Amid the market uncertainties, a recent analysis suggests that a precise XRP movement is imminent. Market speculator Dom asserted that there will be a move coming soon.

Volatility is Subsiding

Dom argued that volatility on the XRP chart is subsiding, indicating that the market is becoming more intentional about a specific move. As a result, he asserted that there could be a move coming soon.

Meanwhile, he pointed to an indicator that could determine XRP’s next move. According to his commentary, XRP has lost a crucial moving average support, raising expectations that it will see lower prices.

The analyst noted that XRP remained above the 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) on both the USD and BTC charts throughout last week. However, yesterday’s close below the moving average could spell further downside.

XRP 20-Day EMA

In addition, Dom noted that if XRP maintains a position under $2.2, this would ensure that the asset remains in bearish territory. As a result, XRP could see further downtrends at any point.

Market Heavily Dependent on Bitcoin

Dom noted that the market’s movement is still heavily dependent on Bitcoin’s next move. The analyst’s post states that a Bitcoin trade below $95,000 would be bearish for altcoins.

Notably, the market speculator termed the levels under $95,000 as the center of value area, emphasizing its relevance in the tone of the crypto market. At the time of writing, Bitcoin trades at $96,400, trading above the alleged altcoin drop zone.

Meanwhile, XRP trades at $2.1993, up 2% in the past 24 hours.

Analyst Says Dogecoin to Register At Least 37X Surge in 2025

0

In a bold prediction, crypto analyst Ðima James Potts suggests that Dogecoin (DOGE) could experience at least a 37-fold price increase by 2025.

Potts arrived at this conclusion after analyzing Dogecoin’s historical growth patterns during the fourth year of its four-year market cycles.

Sharing his analysis on social media platform X, Potts highlighted how Dogecoin’s performance in previous cycles indicates a potential 37x increase during the next major growth phase.

Historical Data Suggests Consistency for Dogecoin

Potts’ analysis centers around DOGE’s price action during the fourth year of each market cycle. In the first cycle, Year 4, being 2017, saw DOGE rise from $0.00023 to $0.00851, marking a 37x increase.

In the second cycle, Year 4, which was 2021, saw DOGE grow from $0.00460 to $0.17064, again achieving a 37x increase. With the fourth year of the ongoing cycle approaching in 2025, Potts predicts a similar outcome.

According to his projection, if 2024 ends with a Dogecoin price of around $0.315, it could reach $11.65 by the end of 2025. As of now, Dogecoin is trading at $0.3201, reflecting a 1.1% increase over the past 24 hours.

Potts’ analysis assumes that historical trends will continue, with Dogecoin’s price multiplying by 37x from its starting point for the year. Meanwhile, he emphasized that the $11.65 target is not a peak price. Instead, he sees it as a projected year-end price, leaving room for potentially higher values throughout 2025.

Indeed, other market analysts have set even more ambitious price targets for Dogecoin’s peak during this cycle.

Dogecoin Could Reach $30 by 2025?

In a separate analysis, market watcher Tardigrade highlighted how Dogecoin could rally to $30 by next year. He pointed to Dogecoin’s double-bottom formations during bear markets and subsequent breakouts.

For instance, after a 3,366% rise in early 2021, Dogecoin consolidated before surging another 677%. Tardigrade expects a similar pattern to unfold, with Dogecoin potentially reaching $30.

In an updated analysis, Tardigrade noted that Dogecoin follows the “Power of Three (PO3)” pattern, consisting of accumulation, manipulation, and distribution phases. After consolidating from mid-November to December, Dogecoin entered a manipulation phase with a crash on December 20, followed by a rebound.

Tardigrade suggests Dogecoin is now in the distribution phase, with the potential for a dramatic price rise to break $1 in the short term and reach $30 in the long term.

Other analysts who agree with the $30 price target, based on historical patterns, have suggested this milestone could be reached by May 2025.

Top Analyst Says XRP is FAVOLOSO, Identifies Trigger for XRP to $27

0

Market expert EGRAG Crypto Identifies the necessary conditions that must play out before XRP can claim its ambitious two-digit target.

He disclosed in a recent analysis that XRP is “FAVOLOSO.” FAVOLOSO in Italian means fabolus.  Despite the current consolidation, EGRAG is reaffirming its conviction that an XRP rally to $27 remains in play. For context, XRP has maintained the same price range since Dec. 20, as uncertainty envelopes the broader market.

The accompanying chart shows XRP’s price movement above the Break of Structure (BOS). This BOS represents an important resistance level that held strong at $1.96 since April 2021.

Condition Necessary for XRP to $27

Interestingly, XRP broke above the structure in November 2024 amid its impressive run following Donald Trump’s election victory. EGRAG suggests that the breakout above the BOS marked the start of a bullish momentum similar to what XRP experienced in 2017.

However, the analyst pointed out that while XRP is holding above the BOS, the 21 Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is still trending below it, currently at $0.8211. EGRAG noted that for XRP to rally toward the $27 target, the EMA must rise above the BOS and meet XRP’s price above this level.

XRP 1M Chart EGRAG Crypto
XRP 1M Chart | EGRAG Crypto

Data from the chart shows that past patterns preceded major price surges. In 2017, XRP experienced a massive rally to $3.31 shortly after breaking above its BOS. EGRAG suggests that the same structure is now unfolding.

EGRAG has persistently maintained the XRP to the $27 target. In an August 2024 analysis, when XRP traded at $0.56, he predicted a surge to $27. He noted that if XRP replicated even half of its 2017 rally, it could reach this level.

Now, in December, XRP has followed a trajectory similar to that of the 2017 fractal. Notably, XRP’s impressive 283% monthly close in November 2024 mirrors a similar 284% monthly close in March 2017, which set the stage for the upsurge that year. Now, the 21 EMA just needs to break above the BOS.

XRP Current Position

Meanwhile, in the short term, XRP remains in consolidation, currently changing hands at $2.255. After reaching a seven-year high of $2.9 on Dec. 3, XRP has retraced, finding support at the middle band of the Keltner Channel at $2.252. This level is important for the bulls to defend.

If XRP holds this support, it could aim for the upper Keltner Channel band at $2.669, which serves as the next resistance. A breakout above $2.669 would confirm a renewal of bullish momentum and open the door to higher targets.

However, a failure to hold the $2.252 support could see XRP test the $2 psychological level. Further downsides could push the price toward $1.96 support at the BOS and then to the lower Keltner Channel band at $1.83.

Further, the Stochastic RSI indicates waning bullish momentum, with %K at 38.76 and %D at 43.24, both trending downward. This suggests a short-term bearish outlook, with bears likely to test support levels before any upward movement resumes.

Dogecoin Analysis: Is a Breakout Rally to $0.39 on Cards?

Will the ongoing Dogecoin recovery ignite a breakout rally this weekend, pushing the price to the $0.3900 mark?

Amid a quick recovery in the crypto market over the past few hours, the meme coin market cap has surged from $94 billion to its current level of $97.38 billion. As the meme segment experiences a rise in buying pressure, Dogecoin is back in action.

With a 13% increase over the past 7 days, Dogecoin’s market cap now stands at $47.15 billion. With a year-end rally looking increasingly likely, will Dogecoin stage a breakout?

DOGE Price Analysis

On the 4-hour chart, Dogecoin’s price action shows a gradual increase in bearish influence. The lower-high formation following a failed attempt to break above $0.4842 has kept Dogecoin under the resistance of a trendline. This has led to three bearish reversals.

CRYPTO:DOGEUSD Chart Image by Trojan69420

Additionally, the correction phase has resulted in a death cross between the 50- and 200-period SMAs and a bearish crossover between the 100- and 200-period SMAs. This alignment of the SMAs is bearish on the 4-hour chart.

After the death cross, the 50-SMA continues to act as dynamic resistance, keeping Dogecoin’s price under bearish control. Currently, Dogecoin is trading within a consolidation range between the 23.60% and 38.20% Fibonacci levels.

Meanwhile, the crucial support zone at $0.30, along with the 23.60% Fibonacci level, acts as a cushion. Dogecoin is currently priced at $0.3202, forming a bullish engulfing candle, marking a 2.90% increase in the past 4 hours. This recovery counters the 6.48% drop from the previous night, which had formed a bearish engulfing daily candle.

Dogecoin Price Targets

As the intraday recovery gains momentum, Dogecoin is hinting at a potential breakout above the 50-SMA line. This would increase the likelihood of Dogecoin closing above the long-standing resistance trendline.

Further supporting the chances of a breakout rally, the 4-hour RSI shows a bullish divergence between the last two bottom formations within the consolidation range.

If this breakout occurs, the next target will likely be the 200-SMA line, corresponding to the 61.80% Fibonacci level at $0.3913. On the other hand, if Dogecoin closes below the psychological $0.30 mark, it could test the immediate support zone at $0.2664.

Will Ethereum Break $3,500 as Wall Street Bulls Drive Recovery with $117M Inflow?

Ethereum recently rebounded from the $3,300 support level, setting the stage for another attempt at a breakout above $3,500 before 2025.

While Bitcoin fluctuates below $100K, Ethereum has shown resilience in overcoming the recent pullback. With a fresh bullish candle and increasing institutional investment, ETH is aiming to challenge $3,500 for a breakout run.

Will the price of ETH finally see a breakthrough after several failed attempts at the $3,500 supply zone?

Ethereum Price Analysis

Amid broader market volatility, Ethereum’s price experienced a 4.67% pullback last night, forming a bearish engulfing candle and completing an evening star pattern.

The pullback tested the critical support level at $3,300. However, with the market stabilizing, Ethereum is now making a bullish recovery.

Currently, Ethereum is priced at $3,427, marking an intraday gain of 3.22%. On the 4-hour chart, a large bullish engulfing candle has crossed above the 20-day EMA line, signaling increased bullish sentiment.

Additionally, the MACD and signal lines are preparing for a bullish crossover, reflecting the rising buying pressure.

As a result, Ethereum is likely to re-challenge the overhead supply zone slightly above the $3,500 psychological mark.

Ethereum ETFs Inflows Surge to $117M After Christmas

The intraday recovery in Ethereum is supported by strong institutional backing. On December 26, the U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded a net inflow of $117.09 million.

This surge in daily inflows was driven by Fidelity acquiring $82.96 million worth of Ethereum, followed by BlackRock purchasing $28.18 million, and Grayscale acquiring $5.95 million.

ETH Price Targets

Based on the current price trend, Ethereum will likely challenge the supply zone just above the $3,500 psychological mark. If the breakout occurs, the next target could be the $4,000 level.

On the downside, key support levels for Ethereum remain at $3,244 and the $3,000 psychological mark.

BitBoy Pinpoints The Only Condition to Trigger XRP Run to $4.5

0

Ben Armstrong (BitBoy) highlights a key price level for XRP that could trigger the next major bull run for the digital asset.

XRP is hovering around $2.23. However, market participants who joined at the height of its frenzy earlier this month are still shouldering a loss of 21% from the seven-year high of $2.87.

Nevertheless, recent forecasts from prominent voices in the crypto community suggest that the token may be on the verge of a significant breakout.

Conditions to Hold Before XRP Rallies to $4.5

In a tweet, Ben Armstrong, a well-known crypto influencer, highlighted the importance of XRP closing daily and weekly candles above $2.75. According to Armstrong, reaching this threshold could set the stage for XRP to surge to $4.50.

Notably, yesterday, XRP briefly touched $2.72 following the announcement of the much-awaited Ripple stablecoin, RLUSD. While some expected this development to serve as a launchpad for XRP, the asset quickly lost momentum. Notably, this was mainly due to Bitcoin’s pullback.

Nonetheless, BitBoy believes that recapturing the $2.75 level holds the key to XRP’s further ascent. He has previously issued bold timelines for when XRP could ultimately reach $4.50, suggesting the likelihood of it happening by the end of the year.

XRP to Establish a Base Above ATH

Adding to the bullish sentiment, crypto analyst “360 Trader” offered an even more ambitious outlook for XRP. The analyst believes XRP is not only on track to reclaim its all-time high (ATH) but is also set to establish a price base above it.

He argued that this new support level would serve as a launchpad for XRP’s “true” bull market move, potentially driving the token into uncharted territory.

Notably, at a price of $2.23, XRP trades 41.14% below its all-time high of $3.84. However, reclaiming this historic value would require a 49% price surge from XRP.

Mixed Expectations Around XRP

Overall, optimistic projections about XRP continue to garner attention as 2025 approaches, with promises of pro-XRP developments like the potential end of Ripple’s lawsuit and the launch of an XRP ETF.

Amid the wait, analysts continue to speculate on XRP’s direction, as the asset has remained in a subdued price trend over the last two weeks. At the same time, skeptics warn of a potential breakdown to as low as $0.50, citing a possible repeat of historical patterns.

Bitcoin at Critical Crossroads: Will $92K Be the Next Stop?

The price of Bitcoin remains in bearish volatility, briefly revisiting the $95K support level today. Will this lead to a decline to $92K?

Amid the recent Bitcoin pullback, the crypto market experienced a massive liquidation surge, totaling $230.30 million. Long-position traders lost $180.89 million.

Will the BTC price remain trapped in a bearish spiral after facing rejection at $100K, or is a bullish reversal possible?

Bitcoin Price Analysis

With BTC’s price crashing below the $96,500 support level, the market cap has dropped to $1.9 trillion. After a 1.7% decline in the past 24 hours, the 30-day returns have fallen to 3.46%.

Notably, Bitcoin established a 24-hour low at $95,083 amid the crash. However, a 0.7% intraday recovery has lifted the current price to $96,339.

Bitcoin Price Chart
Bitcoin Price Chart

Short-term volatility has resulted in a consolidation range on the 1-hour chart, followed by a pullback. Interestingly, with a double-bottom reversal pattern within this range, the BTC price is aiming for a potential breakout.

The upper ceiling of this consolidation range is just above the 23.60% Fibonacci level at $96,279. Adding to the optimism, a morning star pattern has formed, setting the stage for a possible rebound to the 38.20% Fibonacci level at $98,571.

Increasing the chances of a bullish recovery, the MACD and signal lines have crossed positively. However, broader market conditions remain cautious, indicating a potentially slower weekend. Traders should keep this in mind.

Where’s BTC Price Headed?

As per the current situation, the price of Bitcoin is trapped in a consolidation move. After the quick pullback, this hints at a potential bearish continuation. Hence, price exchange traders could find selling opportunities if the BTC price closes under the bottom support level at $95,300.

If this happens, Bitcoin’s price could retest the $92,573 support level. Essentially, traders should prepare for heightened volatility in this scenario.

US Congress to Prioritize Crypto Regulation Next Year

0

U.S. congressman French Hill is poised to prioritize crypto regulation, specifically the FIT21 Act and stablecoin bill, by next year.

Crypto enthusiasts are optimistic about the nascent asset’s potential under the upcoming administration in the United States. Regulators will have another opportunity to pass regulation for the crypto industry in 2025.

Hill to Prioritize Crypto Regulation Next Year

Interestingly, Rep. French Hill, the representative for Arkansas, has disclosed plans to prioritize crypto legislation, particularly the stablecoin bill and the FIT21 Act, next year.

For context, Hill will lead Congress’ House Financial Service Committee, spearheading the panel’s crypto regulation efforts. He has worked on several bills, including the FIT21 Act and a proposed regulation for stablecoins.

Both bills have been under consideration for several months under the current administration. However, their chances of passage were minimal due to the government’s aggressive stance toward the industry.

Odds of Pro-crypto Bill Passage Soar

However, this stance is expected to change in the upcoming Congress, which several pro-crypto advocates dominate. Also, President-elect Donald Trump’s support for crypto is another factor that increases the odds of a pro-crypto bill passage.

The next administration will officially commence on January 20, 2025. However, federal lawmakers will have to wait about four months to settle in. Ron Hammond, head of government relations at Blockchain Association, expects Congress to reintroduce familiar bills, like the stablecoin bill and FIT21 Act.

FIT21 Act

This bill seeks to clarify regulatory authority over crypto, potentially specifying which regulator between the CFTC and SEC will regulate the industry.

As reported earlier, the House passed the bill earlier this year with bipartisan support. However, the Senate’s approval remains uncertain, as changes in leadership at the SEC and CFTC are anticipated in the coming year, according to Hammond.

Hammond expects changes to be made to the bill’s regulatory and legislative aspects. Other modifications might revolve around the definition of the term ‘decentralization.’

Stablecoin Bill

Several efforts have been made to pass a bill exclusively focused on stablecoins. However, these efforts have been futile in the past few years due to disagreements between state and federal regulatory authorities.

Rep. Hill could reintroduce the stablecoin bill in the House, favoring state provisions. Despite Congress being expected to be dominated by pro-crypto advocates, Miller Whitehouse-Levine, CEO at DeFi Education Fund, projected that the bill has a 25% chance of passing next year and a 75% odds in 2026.

Another bill expected to gain traction in the 119th Congress is a draft bill from Senator Cynthia Lummis, which proposes that the U.S. purchase 1 million Bitcoin over the next five years.

Hammond expects this bill to be reintroduced next year. However, he does not think it will pass early because it lacks bipartisan support and a companion bill.

Vivek Ramaswamy’s Strive Files to Launch Bitcoin Bond ETF: What You Need to Know

0

Strive, an asset management firm co-founded by Donald Trump’s DOGE appointee Vivek Ramaswamy, files with the SEC to launch a Bitcoin Bond ETF.

With the U.S. spot crypto ETF jinx broken this year following the approval of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum products, the floodgates appear to have been opened on a myriad of funds designed to fulfill the unique needs of investors craving crypto exposure.

These have included filings for options ETFs, index funds, and now a bond fund application from Strive, an asset manager co-founded by former Republican presidential candidate and key Donald Trump appointee Vivek Ramaswamy.

The Strive Bitcoin Bond ETF

The Vivek Ramaswamy co-founded asset manager Strive has filed with the SEC to launch a Bitcoin bond ETF. In a Thursday, December 26 prospectus, the firm explained that the fund seeks to grant investors exposure to convertible securities of companies that use the proceeds to purchase Bitcoin.

Convertible notes are loan agreements that allow a company to raise funds by promising interest to the lender and the option to convert the loan to equity at a set date and price.

As highlighted by Strive, the primary holding of the fund, if approved, is likely to be MicroStrategy‘s convertible notes amid the firm’s aggressive Bitcoin treasury strategy with plans to raise $42 billion over the next three years to purchase the asset.

Meanwhile, Strive is not the only asset manager seeking to offer investors easy exposure to a basket of firms with Bitcoin treasury strategies.

Bitwise Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF

On Thursday, Bitwise, a $5 billion asset manager, also submitted a filing to launch a Bitwise Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF to offer investors exposure to firms with significant Bitcoin treasury holdings.

Specifically, the fund will invest in firms holding at least 1,000 BTC having a market capitalization of at least $100 million, average daily liquidity of at least $1 million, and a public free float of less than 10%.

Bitwise notes that the diversified fund’s weighting will depend on the Bitcoin value held by the firms, with the maximum weight for a single security capped at 25%.

Companies that could make the cut for the Bitwise fund include popular names like MicroStrategy, Marathon Digital, Riot Platforms, Hut8, and even Tesla. The fund could also include emerging players like Metaplanet and Semler Scientific.

Commenting on the recent Bitcoin-focused ETF filings, Bloomberg Senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas asserted that the Bitwise filing aligned more with what members of the crypto community on X have been clamoring for while stating that it remained to be seen if these clamors will translate to real demand.

ETF Store President Nate Geraci shared Balchunas sentiments while stating that the product could be “a nice indie hit” if successful.

The recent filings come as the corporate Bitcoin treasury strategy catches on amid MicroStrategy’s success. The latest firm to adopt the strategy, KULR Technology, has seen its share price jump nearly 300% since revealing plans on December 4 to invest up to 90% of its surplus cash in cryptocurrency.

Expert Predicts Dogecoin Price if Ethereum Hits $12,500 in 2025

0

A notable analyst has predicted Dogecoin price for 2025 in a market scenario where Ethereum claims an ambitious five-digit price target.

Notably, the cryptocurrency market has witnessed multiple bold predictions for 2025, and this is one of the latest. These come as the ongoing bull run, which started in late 2023, shows no signs of stopping.

Dogecoin Price if Ethereum Hits $12,500 in 2025

Market analysts have shared optimistic forecasts for various assets, with Ethereum and Dogecoin featuring prominently. According to projections from market watcher Professor Astrones, Ethereum has the potential to surge to $12,500 and DOGE could rise to $5 in 2025.

The predictions come amid a recent market pullback, where Bitcoin fell from an all-time high of $108,000 to below $95,000. Despite this collapse, analysts remain confident in Dogecoin’s long-term potential. This confidence mainly comes from its historical patterns.

For context, the $5 price prediction for Dogecoin price represents an ambitious 1,462% increase from its current value of $0.32. Meanwhile, Ethereum would only need to rally by 273% from the current price of $3,345 to claim the $12,500 price target.

These predictions are in order, considering Dogecoin’s greater volatility and penchant for higher growth. The meme coin has demonstrated resilience despite recent challenges. As a result, analysts suggest the current dip could mirror historical patterns, where pullbacks preceded massive rallies.

Analysts Remain Bullish on Dogecoin Price Prospects

For instance, Javon Marks, a market watcher, believes the current pullback resembles patterns from previous cycles, predicting a short-term surge of over 122% once the retracement ends. This rally could take Dogecoin past $0.73.

Meanwhile, The Krypto King noted that Dogecoin has held its support levels and shown strength against Bitcoin. Once Bitcoin reverses its downtrend, he believes Dogecoin could experience a 140% rally, pushing its price above $0.8.

In addition, Trader Tardigrade recently highlighted another bullish signal, as he confirmed Dogecoin price position within the Gaussian Channel.

According to the market commentator, DOGE has found support at the mid-band of this channel, around $0.31 to $0.32, indicating a potential reversal. Notably, the bulls would have to defend this level to hedge against steeper declines to lower lows.

Broader Market Projections for 2025

Beyond Ethereum and Dogecoin, Professor Astrones also made ambitious price targets for other assets in 2025. He predicts that Solana could see an explosive 981% increase, reaching $2,000 from its current price of $185.

Further, the analyst projects XRP to hit $10, a 352% jump from $2.21, its present price. Meanwhile, VeChain (VET) might surge to $1, representing a remarkable 2,027% rise from $0.047.

Other notable predictions include Injective Protocol (INJ) reaching $250, Arbitrum (ARB) climbing to $30, and Fetch.ai (FET) hitting $20. Floki (FLOKI), another dog-themed meme coin, could also experience a notable rise, claiming the $0.005 region.
