Bitwise Files to Launch ETF Tracking Companies with Large Bitcoin Treasuries

0

Bitwise files for a new exchange-traded fund (ETF), the Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF, to potentially mirror the S&P 500.

Notably, this incoming investment product will track companies adopting Bitcoin as a core treasury asset. Bitwise has communicated its intent for this product with the SEC. It is scheduled for a potential launch in 2025.

The ETF aims to invest in corporations that have integrated the “Bitcoin standard” by holding substantial reserves of Bitcoin in their treasuries.

Tracking Bitcoin-Heavy Corporations

Under its principal investment strategies, the ETF will allocate at least 80% of its assets to securities within the index, prioritizing full replication. To qualify for inclusion, companies must hold at least 1,000 BTC and possess a market capitalization of $100 million or more. Moreover, they must maintain daily liquidity of at least $1 million and have a public free float of at least 10%.

The ETF’s design caters to the growing interest in Bitcoin adoption within the corporate sector.

MicroStrategy leads the list of eligible companies with a staggering 444,262 BTC in its treasury. In comparison, other notable firms like Tesla (9,720 BTC), Marathon Digital (44,394 BTC), and Block Inc. (8,363 BTC) also feature prominently.

Industry Buzz: “Bitcoin Treasury Operations Virus”

Nate Geraci, President of the ETF Store, highlighted the broader significance of this ETF in a tweet. He noted that the “Bitcoin standard” concept appears to be spreading among corporations like “virus.”

Eric Balchunas, Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg, called this ETF “the one people have been asking for,” particularly among the crypto-focused community. However, he raised questions about whether it will translate into mainstream investor demand.

Bitwise Building “Crypto S&P 500”

Joe Burnett, Director of Market Research at Unchained, congratulated Bitwise on their ETF, calling it the “modern S&P 500 for the digital age.”

Furthermore, Burnett stated that in the long term, companies are only as valuable as their ability to generate positive Bitcoin yields.

However, a community member challenged his viewpoint. The critic sought clarification on what the world would look like if companies simply bought and held Bitcoin without delivering value.

Burnett responded by explaining that the only way to generate BTC yield is by creating a valuable product or service and selling it at a profit.

Institutional FOMO into Bitcoin

Notably, this ETF filing comes amid institutional frenzy and FOMO for Bitcoin adoption, particularly as BTC’s price surpassed the six-figure level.

The U.S. is creating a Bitcoin reserve, and countries such as Japan have recently discussed the potential to follow suit. At the same time, U.S. ETFs continue to amass BTC tokens, and individual firms like MicroStrategy are leading the Bitcoin accumulation frenzy with ongoing weekly multi-billion-dollar BTC purchases.

Now, Bitwise’s Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF seeks to serve as a key vehicle for investors seeking diversified exposure to corporate Bitcoin holdings.

Notably, Bitwise has stated that the incoming ETF will not invest directly in Bitcoin or Bitcoin-related derivatives. Instead, it will focus on equity securities, including common stock, depositary receipts (ADRs and GDRs), tracking stocks, and other equity units.

Veteran Analysts Agree Bitcoin Crash to $70,000 is Possible

0

Several veteran analysts and industry leaders believe a Bitcoin crash to price levels before the Donald Trump victory is possible.

Bitcoin’s remarkable surge from $66,000 on Nov. 4 to an all-time high of $108,000 on Dec. 17 has been followed by massive volatility. The asset has since collapsed to the $96,000 level amid market uncertainty.

As the bearish spell lingers, analyst Ali Martinez has highlighted the possibility of Bitcoin crashing to the $70,000 range. Notably, he cited his previous analyses and those of other industry veterans to drive home this point.

Market Veterans Insist Deeper Bitcoin Crash Still Possible

He called attention to a commentary from market veteran Tone Vays, who highlighted the importance of the $92,000 range as Bitcoin’s “last line of support.” Vays warned that a breach of this level could lead to a drop to $73,000.

Similarly, Thomas Lee and Mark Newton of Fundstrat foresee a temporary decline before Bitcoin resumes its long-term upward trajectory. Citing Newton, Lee suggested that a dip to the $60,000s is possible before a rally to $250,000 by 2025

Also, Market veteran Michaël van de Poppe previously compared Bitcoin’s performance to historical market patterns, such as the QQQ ETF launch in 1999. He speculated that Bitcoin could mimic this QQQ’s price behavior by spiking to $120,000 in January 2025 before retracing sharply to $60,000.

Interestingly, Peter Brandt also discussed the bearish outlook on Dec. 20, identifying a right-angled broadening triangle in Bitcoin’s chart. Brandt noted that this pattern could align with a test of the $70,000 range, depending on how the market unfolds.

Martinez Warns of Bitcoin’s Delicate Position

Citing these predictions, Martinez suggested that a drop to $70,000 could actually be possible. He issued his initial warning on Dec. 22, identifying a support zone between $97,041 and $93,806.

He argued that if Bitcoin fails to hold within this critical range, a decline to $70,085 is likely, as there is minimal support below this level.

He further supported this view with data showing that market participants had transferred over 33,000 BTC, worth $3.23 billion at the time, to exchanges over a 1-week period, signaling potential sell-off activity.

Further, on Dec. 23, Martinez noted that investors realized more than $7.17 billion in Bitcoin profits in a single day, indicating an increase in profit-taking trades as traders moved to secure gains.

The analyst also observed in a previous analysis that Bitcoin had broken below its crucial $97,300 support level. According to him, unless Bitcoin reclaims this zone and closes above $100,000 on the daily chart, the bearish outlook will remain intact.

Meanwhile, on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Martinez pointed to a shift in market sentiment. The percentage of Binance traders holding long Bitcoin positions dropped sharply, from 66.73% to 53.60%. This decline indicates waning confidence among investors.

Despite these warnings, Martinez believes that Bitcoin will not be lost. He argues that a recovery above $100,000 could invalidate the bearish scenario and potentially spark a rally to $168,500, based on the Mayer Multiple metric. However, the possibility of a crash remains if the key support zones fail to hold.

Currently, Bitcoin trades for $96,243, up 45% since the Donald Trump election victory. A drop to $70,000 would mark a 27% decline from here. The leading asset gained 0.55% this morning, and the asset is looking to reclaim the $97,000 level.

Equity Fund Manager Says Trump Will Show How Bitcoin Can Sustain US Global Leadership

0

Equity fund manager Grant Cardone expresses support for President-elect Donald Trump’s proposal to establish a Bitcoin reserve for the United States.

Cardone, who oversees Cardone Capital, a firm that manages approximately $4.5 billion in assets, believes the Bitcoin reserve initiative could cement the nation’s global financial leadership.

Cardone Endorses Trump’s Bitcoin Reserve Plan

In a recent post on X, Cardone drew a parallel between Trump’s Bitcoin strategy and President John F. Kennedy’s ambitious space program in the 1960s.

The real estate investor suggested that just as Kennedy rallied the American public to support the moon landing, Trump could similarly advocate for Bitcoin adoption to maintain the country’s economic dominance.

According to Cardone, the United States is currently racing to bolster its global currency dominance. This comes as other countries, such as BRICS nations, look to de-dollarize their economies amid currency devaluation.

As this race heats up, Cardone believes Trump’s Bitcoin reserve idea could be a game-changer. “Trump will sell the American people that BTC is VITAL to our continued leadership role in the world,” he remarked.

Supporters and Critics

Trump’s proposal involves creating a national Bitcoin reserve, looking to position the U.S. as the leader in the crypto industry. He first disclosed the idea during the Bitcoin 2024 Conference in Nashville, as he looked to court the crypto community during his presidential campaign.

So far, the plan has gained attention, especially as Bitcoin’s value recently surpassed $100,000 amid sustained capital inflows from institutions. Leading asset manager VanEck has endorsed the plan, even suggesting it could help offset a portion of the U.S. national debt.

Some like Tyler Cowen, a George Mason University professor and Bloomberg columnist, argue that if the U.S. adopts Bitcoin, it could strengthen the dollar and sustain the country’s global finance dominance.

Interestingly, Senator Cynthia Lummis has been a vocal advocate for the Bitcoin integration. She proposed acquiring 1 million Bitcoin over the next five years, viewing it as a move to strengthen the nation’s financial position.

However, BlackRock has refused to support the plan. Notably, critics caution against the volatility associated with cryptocurrencies. Larry Summers, a former US Treasury Secretary, argued earlier this month that the plan was “crazy,” contending that it serves no clear purpose other than political.

States and Countries Eyeing the Bitcoin Reserve Plan

Despite the concerns, several states in the United States are already exploring the establishment of their own Bitcoin reserves. Pennsylvania, Texas, and Ohio are considering frameworks to incorporate Bitcoin into their state treasuries.

Internationally, personalities in countries such as Brazil, Poland, and Russia, have proposed the idea of creating national Bitcoin reserves. For instance, in Brazil, a lawmaker suggested allocating 5% of international reserves to Bitcoin.

Energy Firm Kurl Creates Bitcoin Reserve with Initial Purchase of 217 BTC Worth $21M

0

A few days after announcing it would adopt the Bitcoin reserve plan, Kurl Technology has opened its reserve purse with millions worth of procurement.

In a press release yesterday, the California-based energy management firm announced it has acquired 217 BTC, worth $21 million. Kurl noted it bought the stash at an average price of $96,556, leveraging the recent dip to stack the premier asset under six figures.

As with most Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), Kurl Technology Group chose Coinbase to custody its Bitcoin.

Kurl Embraces Bitcoin Reserve Plan

Meanwhile, the Boxing Day purchase came after Kurl’s December 5 Bitcoin embrace. For context, the firm noted at the time that it had adopted Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset, joining the growing list.

They presented the idea of storing 90% of their reserve assets in the pioneering cryptocurrency. As of 2023, Kurl disclosed a net asset of $11 million, which its recent purchase has trounced by almost twofold.

Interestingly, Kurl Technology mentioned it would pursue more purchases in the future. The ploy reflects its long-term commitment to Bitcoin, a growing choice asset among corporate entities.

Notably, Kurl’s stock reacted to the purchase, soaring to unprecedented highs. On Thursday, it rallied to a record close of $4.80, appreciating over 40% on the day.

Corporate Firm FOMO in Play

Meanwhile, the incessant adoption of Bitcoin has reached FOMO levels as corporate firms scramble to acquire the premier asset. This stems from a warmer embrace of Bitcoin in the United States and growing speculation that the emerging asset will reach substantial prominence imminently.

The latest Bitcoin strategic reserve scheme entrants include Matador, Rumble, and La Rosa. These firms have dedicated a portion of their treasury to Bitcoin, committing to periodically acquiring the flagship crypto asset.

However, the FOMO has reached state and national levels catalyzed by Donald Trump’s vow to create a US Bitcoin stockpile. States like Pennsylvania and Florida and countries like Russia, Brazil, and even the European Union are all considering adopting Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset.

Shiba Inu Leads as Most Traded Token in India, While Dogecoin Leads as Most Held

0

Shiba Inu has achieved a remarkable milestone in India, ranking among the most traded coins this year in the country, outpacing even Bitcoin.

Kashif Raza, the founder of the Bitcoin education platform Bitinning, called attention to this development in a recent post on X, providing an insight into India’s crypto landscape in 2024.

Although Raza initially claimed that the data reflects India’s broader crypto landscape in 2024, further insight shows that the stats were limited to activity on the popular India-based exchange CoinSwitch.

CoinSwitch User Activity

Notably, the exchange now has 20 million users, with women representing 11% of them. These investors were mostly active between 9 PM and 11 PM daily. Also, most of them are young, with about 72% aged below 35.

The data showcased interesting facts about users’ activity, including the most traded asset and most held token.

Shiba Inu Emerges as Most Traded Token

Shiba Inu (SHIB), the leading canine-themed token, ranked as the most traded token on CoinSwitch. The data indicate that 9% of CoinSwitch users, representing 1.8 million, traded SHIB this year.

Notably, Shiba Inu ranked ahead of Pepe, Bitcoin (BTC), and Dogecoin (DOGE), which were traded by 8% (1.6 million), 6% (1.2 million), and 6% (1.2 million) of CoinSwitch users.

Other crypto assets, such as Tether (USDT), Bonk, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Gala, recorded 6%, 4%, 3%, 3%, 3%, and 2%, respectively, in this category.

Dogecoin Leads as Most Held Token

Meanwhile, CoinSwitch customers were more inclined to hold Dogecoin than any other crypto asset this year. Per the data, 8% of CoinSwitch customers, representing 1.6 million users, held Dogecoin, making it the most-held token within the exchange.

Bitcoin followed suit in this category, with 7% (1.4 million) of CoinSwitch customers holding the premier cryptocurrency. Ethereum, Shiba Inu, and Cardano (ADA) closely followed Bitcoin, with 6%, 5%, and 4% users holding these tokens, respectively.

It is unsurprising that Shiba Inu and Dogecoin top the most traded and held token categories. These assets have had an impressive performance this year, attracting the attention of many crypto users. Furthermore, Indians naturally like meme coins, with 14% of CoinSwitch users drawn to the top two biggest meme coins by market cap: Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.

At press time, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00002188, boasting a trading volume of $489.48 million. Shiba Inu’s trading volume is down 7.94% over the past day. On the other hand, Dogecoin is trading at $0.316, with its daily volume plunging by 8.56% to $2.32 billion.

Raoul Pal Says SUI Will Outperform XRP for the Rest of This Bull Run

0

Industry commentator Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision, argues that the trendy altcoin SUI will outperform XRP for the rest of the bull run.

Pal shared his view in a recent video where he discussed his perspective on the future of key cryptocurrencies during the ongoing bull run. While Solana (SOL) and XRP have been strong performers, Pal believes the newer SUI token is poised to outperform both in the coming months.

SUI Against Solana and XRP

Pal compared the performance of the SUI token with that of XRP and Solana. He noted that SUI is breaking out from an inverse Head and Shoulders pattern. This development signals the potential for a significant upside.

Pal acknowledged that while Solana (SOL) continues to show strength and is expected to keep rising, shifting some assets from Solana into SUI could offer better returns.

“Solana is a more proven, second-cycle protocol, and it is likely to perform well,” Pal explained, “But SUI, which is newer and riskier, looks like it will provide the alpha during this phase of the market.”

XRP Strength vs SUI Potential

Despite his confidence in Solana, Pal acknowledged the ongoing strength of XRP. However, he pointed out that the upward trend of SUI is outperforming XRP, suggesting that the new token has the potential for even greater gains.

“We’ve hit the bottom of the trend channel for SUI, and it’s likely to outperform XRP going forward,” Pal said. He clarified that this doesn’t imply XRP will decline but that SUI will deliver better returns for holders.

Despite Pal’s bullish outlook on SUI, he acknowledged the strength of XRP’s chart. The token has been building a series of wedges with the potential for an explosive move higher. He also drew attention to XRP’s breakout from a seven-year downtrend.

“The massive 7-year wedge has broken on XRP’s weekly chart, and it’s unclear where this could go. It’s very powerful,” Pal said.

Still, when comparing SUI to XRP, Pal maintains that SUI could surpass XRP’s performance when the bulls reemerge.

SUI Performance

Notably, SUI ranks among the best-performing crypto assets in this ongoing bull run. It is currently trading in a price discovery phase similar to Bitcoin, having broken multiple all-time highs. It established a new peak 11 days ago at $4.93, and proponents expect SUI to break into the $5 range soon.

Remarkably, SUI traded below $1 just three months ago, in September. At its current market price of $4.26, SUI boasts a one-year gain of 413%, compared to 250% for XRP. Given its tendency for spectacular growth, Pal expects SUI to continue dominating the market trend.

Concentration Over Diversification

Meanwhile, in his broader investment philosophy, Pal emphasized the value of concentration rather than diversification. He warned that spreading bets across too many assets can lead to underperformance.

He revealed that his strategy is to concentrate 80-90% of his portfolio on the main tokens—Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum—while allocating a smaller portion to assets he believes will outperform, such as SUI.

Pal also pointed out that meme coins could form a small, riskier portion of a portfolio, but investors should be prepared for potential losses.

“You’ll have fun with meme coins, but they are likely to rekt you,” he warned.

Analyst Says Shiba Inu is Stuck at Bull Market Support, and That’s Fine

0

Amidst the latest Shiba Inu price struggles, a seasoned market analyst insists the meme coin has not entirely lost bullish momentum.

Shiba Inu mirrors a broader market correction as bearish sentiments preside over proceedings. The second-largest meme coin by market cap has failed to retest its yearly high of $0.00004567, with the resistance at $0.00003343 proving insurmountable.

Furthermore, the asset has corrected over 11% in the past week and tested a multi-week low of $0.00001853 the previous week. Amidst the glaring price underperformance, a notable analyst maintains that Shiba Inu still possesses bullish potential.

Shiba Inu Is Fine: Analyst

In a Boxing Day commentary, notable analyst Cantonese Cat has insisted that Shiba Inu is fine. His analysis insinuated that the dog-themed meme coin had not lost bullish touch and could rebound from the dip.

The market commentator stated that Shiba Inu is just stuck around the 0.5 Fibonacci extension at $0.00002661. He noted that the token also struggles to rebound from the bull cycle band, finding solace in the $0.000022 major support zone.

Meanwhile, a chart accompanying Cantonese Cat’s analysis shows major support regions for Shiba Inu if the bearish turn persists. Furthermore, it also suggests Shiba Inu’s next major resistance levels if it regains bullish momentum.

Shiba Inu

What Next for Shiba Inu?

Per Cantonese Cat’s analysis, if the bearish momentum continues, Shiba Inu boasts a major support at the 0.382 Fibonacci extension around $0.000016434. This is the analyst’s first key support, but the bulls will likely find other minor support above this level. Notably, Shiba Inu will dump almost 25% of the current market price to reach $0.000016434.

However, a converse scenario would push the meme coin to greater heights, with the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.000031247 serving as first major resistance. Notably, an earlier analysis from Rose Premium suggested an upward Shiba Inu thrust would see the asset hit $0.00003082 and then $0.00003511 afterward.

Additionally, another analyst confirmed the level further. Asteks speculated that Shiba Inu would target $0.0000323, citing an imminent breakout from a bullish cup and handle pattern.

In the meantime, Shiba Inu trades at $0.00002178, down 2.6% in the past 24 hours.

XRP Loses 200 MA on 4-Hour Chart but Still Eyes Second Highest Monthly Close In 3 Years

0

XRP gives up a major short-term support level but is still on track to witness its second-highest monthly close in three years.

XRP, like most cryptocurrencies, had an impressive showing over the past month but is now stuck in a Federal Reserve-led market rout, with at least one indicator hinting at more downside in the short term.

XRP Loses 200 MA on 4-Hour Chart

XRP’s recent rout may still have room to the downside after falling 24% from highs near the $2.6 price point to lows below $2 over the past week, at least judging by one key indicator.

As highlighted by crypto analyst “BLOCK BULL” on Thursday, December 26, XRP has fallen below the 200-period moving average on the four-hour chart, hinting at a continued sell-off in the short term as the previous price support now appears to be turning resistance.

The 200 MA measures the average closing price of an asset over the past 200 hours and serves as a trend indicator. An asset is considered to be in an uptrend when it trades above the MA and in a downtrend when it trades below it.

While analysts mostly leverage the indicator on the daily candle chart to confirm long-term trends, it can also help identify short-term market swings on lower time frames, as with XRP in this instance.

Still, the target for XRP’s potential price drop and whether the drop will actually occur remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, as further highlighted by BLOCK BULL, XRP is still likely to end December on a significantly positive note, regardless of what happens.

Record Monthly Close

In a separate post, BLOCK BULL noted that XRP remains on track for a record monthly candle close in December 2024.

The analyst stressed that XRP could have its second-highest monthly close in the past three years as long as it closed above the 82 cents price point. To be sure, XRP is currently trading at $2.18 and is unlikely to have a major price crash to below the $1 mark in the next few days unless driven by a significant external catalyst.

In further positives, XRP remains far above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages on the daily candle chart, suggesting its long-term uptrend could still be intact.

iTrustCapital Says XRP ETF Soon, Outlining Its Pros, Cons, and Potential Impact on XRP

0

Leading American crypto IRA platform iTrustCapital recently highlighted the upcoming launch of XRP ETFs and shared key insights to inform investors about this potential development.

Following the approval of multiple Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs earlier this year, investors have been speculating that XRP could be the next token to receive the SEC’s blessing for an ETF.

This speculation gained momentum recently, with multiple asset managers submitting separate applications to launch XRP-linked ETFs. Bitwise was the first asset manager to submit an S-1 application with the SEC on October 2 for a spot XRP ETF.

Afterward, Canary Capital followed suit, submitting its own XRP ETF application a week later, precisely on October 9, 2024. Asset managers 21Shares and WisdomTree followed suit, communicating their intent to launch XRP ETFs in the U.S. While 21Shares submitted its S-1 application on November 1, WisdomTree filed on December 2.

Meanwhile, asset managers like Grayscale Investments and Bitwise are also seeking to launch ETF baskets tied to several cryptos, including XRP.

Essential Information on Incoming XRP ETFs

Given the growing momentum surrounding the potential launch of XRP ETFs, iTrustCapital offered a comprehensive overview of the product. It defines an XRP ETF as an investment vehicle that tracks the price of XRP and holds the underlying asset on behalf of investors.

Pros and Cons of XRP ETF

According to iTrustCapital, potential XRP ETFs offer investors two major benefits: accessibility and oversight.

The accessibility feature allows investors to access the investment product through brokerage accounts. For the oversight, the product operates under traditional financial markets, offering investors better protection.

Despite these benefits, iTrustCapital highlighted four major drawbacks of the ETF: limited trading hours, non-direct ownership of XRP, tracking errors, and high fees.

Potential Impact of ETF on XRP

The potential approval of spot-based XRP ETF could directly impact XRP markets, influencing the token’s demand and supply. This could play out in two scenarios: increased institutional demand and broader market attention.

Potential fund managers of XRP ETFs must hold substantial amounts of the token to back the investment vehicle. With more investors entering the market, the fund managers could acquire more XRP tokens, potentially creating buying pressure for the asset. This growing demand could serve as a catalyst for a potential price surge for XRP.

In terms of market attention, the potential approval of an XRP ETF could increase awareness of the token. Following the product’s approval, many will recognize XRP as a major asset that traditional financial institutions adopt. Hence, it could position XRP for a new wave of interest and investments.

Timeline for Approval

In the meantime, there is no official timeline for the potential approval of the XRP ETF applications. However, speculations suggest that the investment vehicle could go live next year under a new SEC leadership chaired by pro-crypto advocate Paul Atkins.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has already nominated Atkins as his SEC Chair. Consequently, the crypto community is optimistic that his administration will be a blessing to the crypto industry, giving birth to favorable regulations and more crypto ETFs, with some tied to XRP.

Expert Predicts Everyone Will Regret Not Buying XRP at $2, $5, or $7, Says its Short-Term Mindset That Destroys Portfolios

0

A market analyst believes investors who failed to purchase XRP under a three-digit price level will regret their decision.

Coach JV, a market commentator and CEO of 3T Warrior Academy, revealed this amid the turbulence that has ravaged the crypto market. XRP has not escaped the bloodbath, dropping 1.24% on Christmas Day and by a more substantial 6.06% on Boxing Day.

“Investors Will Regret Not Buying XRP Below $100”

However, the altcoin appears to have begun recouping these losses, but this rebound has not been sufficient to put it back above the $2.2 level. Despite the gloomy condition, Coach JV believes XRP’s long-term fundamentals are looking good.

He expressed this confidence in a recent disclosure, as some investors sit on the sidelines amid XRP’s price performance. Interestingly, his commentary suggests he expects XRP to finally overcome the $2 territory and push toward new highs at $5 and $7.

According to Coach JV, market participants who fail to procure XRP at $2, $5 or $7 would regret their decision someday. Further, in a more ambitious outlook, the market expert predicts that these individuals would FOMO into XRP when it clinched an audacious $100 target.

The $100 XRP Price Prediction

The $100 price prediction has been a central theme within the XRP community, with one camp vehemently championing it while the other dismisses it as wishful thinking.

Notably, XRP’s total supply is about 100 billion tokens, translating to a $10 trillion valuation if XRP hits $100 per token. Critics have cited this supply issue as the major factor preventing such a price level, as a $10 trillion market cap represents about 10% of the total global M2 money supply.

Nonetheless, some experts remain optimistic. For instance, market commentator Armando Pantoja argued last month that an XRP rally to the $100 mark is very possible. He dismissed these concerns around market cap constraints. Crypto YouTuber Levi also said he is “100% certain” that XRP can hit $100.

Now, Coach JV, who also champions this price prediction, believes most investors would only start FOMOing into the XRP market after it claims the $100 level. In his recent commentary, the trader warned against a short-term mindset, which pushes investors to anticipate immediate gains. According to him, it destroys portfolios.

XRP in a Strong Position

Meanwhile, amid the ongoing market turbulence, XRP appears to be in a comfortable position. While the token has defended the $2 support, currently changing hands at $2.15, its Commodity Channel Index (CCI) now stands at -112, suggesting an undervalued position.

XRP 1D Chart
XRP 1D Chart

This figure indicates that XRP has massive room for growth, which could see it finally breach the $3 level once the market recovers. For context, the last time the CCI traded at the -100 level was in late October when XRP traded for $0.50. It had enough room to rally 480% to $2.9 on Dec. 3 from this level.
