Ankr Launches Chainscanner, an All-in-One Block Explorer and Analytics Platform for App-Specific Blockchains

0

Ankr, one of the world’s leading Web3 infrastructure providers, today announces the launch of Chainscanner, an all-in-one block explorer and analytics platform for app-specific blockchains (AppChains). It provides an easy way for both developers and users to view and analyze data and interact with their desired chains.

The newly-launched Chainscanner benefits both developers and users by offering an easy-to-use interface to take care of all needs for interacting with AppChains deployed on sidechain ecosystems like BNB, Polygon, and Avalanche. Developers no longer need to build block explorers or other necessary blockchain infrastructure from scratch or use the existing – and expensive – solutions for viewing on-chain data and transactions.

Kev Silk, Product Manager for Ankr AppChains, said, “Chainscanner is an essential new building block for AppChains that greatly improves user experience with tools made to let users instantly search for data, stake tokens, vote on governance proposals, get development resources, apply to become a validator, and learn everything about different chains. This is how we make decentralized apps as easy to use and as high performance as the centralized apps we’re used to interacting with every day.”

Ankr offers AppChains-as-a-Service, an end-to-end engineering solution that enables Web3 developers to easily build custom blockchains uniquely suited to their applications. Enabling developers to build their own blockchains on Sidechain frameworks like Polygon Edge, Avalanche Subnets, and the BNB Chain’s BAS helps solve two of the biggest challenges holding back Web3 adoption – slow transaction speed and high gas fees.

With AppChains, developers have the freedom to choose the programming languages, consensus mechanisms, and development frameworks they want to use. They can fine-tune their dApp’s security without relying on complex smart contracts and asset bridges.

Chainscanner allows developers and users to see transparent data and stats for validators, active users, token information, token holders, and much more. They can also stake tokens to support AppChains of their choice and participate in AppChain governance. Chainscanner makes it easier for users to get involved in governance, staking, or development.

Moreover, Chainscanner gives developers insights into the performance of their chain relative to other chains in the market, as well as the supply and demand for staking. Users, on the other hand, can gather data on the staking usage of a particular chain or token to understand how much traction a Web3 app is getting.

To bring Web3 to the masses, Ankr believes it is critical to remove the complexities of blockchain development while ensuring scalability and app-specific customization.

About Ankr

Ankr is building the future of decentralized Web3 infrastructure, servicing over 50 proof-of-stake chains with an industry-leading global node delivery system and RPC aggregator. Ankr currently serves over 2 trillion transactions a year across Web3 and is the leading infrastructure provider for BSC, Fantom, and Polygon chains as of 2022. Ankr also offers a suite of developer tools, including the Liquid Staking SDK, Web3 Gaming SDK, and AppChains As a Service, that empower dApp developers to build Web3 apps quickly and easily.

Bitboy Says Coinbase And FTX Chiefs Are Out To Ruin Crypto In A Scathing Outburst

0

Bitboy Crypto believes that crypto is being hijacked.

In a video clip making the rounds on Twitter, crypto YouTuber Ben Armstrong, also known as Bitboy Crypto, calls out Coinbase chief Brian Armstrong and FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, in an outburst alleging that they are trying to ruin crypto.

“I don’t represent the people?” Said Bitboy in response to a tweet by Bankless founder Ryan Sean Adams. “The f**k I don’t. I’m the one who does. It’s me. I’m the one out here putting the work in behind the scenes trying to save crypto. While these devils Sam Bankman-fried Brian Armstrong, they’re trying to permanently ruin it.”

According to the crypto influencer, crypto is being hijacked by the people who have all the money.

“This guy with his freaking glasses on, this douchebag is out here trying to tell you that only the suits know what to do,” Bitboy said, again responding to Ryan Sean Adam’s assertion that he did not represent the crypto community. “Only the suits. Only the people who have all the money. They’re the ones who get to determine what happens. No. Our bill is for the people.”

It bears mentioning that Bitboy’s outburst has been met with mixed responses from the crypto community. On the one hand, many agree with the influencer’s sentiments in light of a recent regulatory proposal by SBF, which could potentially do away with decentralized exchanges (DEXes) and decentralized finance (DeFi).

On the other hand, some users point out that Bitboy may not have the moral standing to speak for the crypto community as he has often accepted payments to promote shady projects to his audience.

Notably, the conflict between Bitboy and Adams has devolved into a war of words on Twitter, with Adams teasing Bitboy with a Bankless interview invitation.

It is worth noting that the latest proposal by SBF will require DeFi to be compliant with the Office Of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the sanctions enforcement arm of the US Treasury department. Aside from this leading to broad crypto censorship, as highlighted by a user, it is highly impractical. In addition to this, it will require DEXes to register as brokers.

Adams, who in an earlier tweet, described the proposal from SBF as unreasonable, asserted that the solution to the regulation problem facing DeFi in the US was not to slap centralized finance rules on DeFi. Instead, according to the pundit, lawmakers should develop DeFi regulations from first principles.

Notably, SBF’s proposal has sparked industry-wide outrage, with many accusing the FTX chief of not caring about decentralization.

Ripple CEO: SEC Has Nothing To Do With “Transparency” When Truth Comes Out Their Shameless Behavior Will Shock Everyone

Garlinghouse takes another swipe at the SEC.

Brad Garlinghouse, CEO at Ripple, has taken a swipe at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for trying to deceive the public into having a particular idea about the agency.

Garlinghouse made a comment in response to the regulators’ decision to finally hand over the Hinman documents to the Silicon Valley tech company Ripple.

According to Garlinghouse, the SEC’s decision to finally turn over the documents to Ripple is an effort by the agency to give people the idea that it cares about “disclosure, transparency, and clarity.”

“Don’t believe them. When the truth eventually comes out, the shamefulness of their behavior here will shock you,” he added.

Hinman’s Document Still Sealed

The Hinman document’s content is still unknown since it is still sealed, as requested by the Securities and Exchange Commission. However, there is a likelihood that Ripple will eventually disclose the opinion of internal SEC staff when Hinman was drafting the speech, which saw him declare Ethereum as non-security.

Ripple believes the SEC must have talked about XRP during the speech’s formulation, given the cryptocurrency’s popularity at the time.

Fight Over Hinman Documents Finally Over

Recall that Judge Analisa Torres reaffirmed Judge Sarah Netburn’s decision on the Hinman documents and ordered the SEC to turn over the documents to Ripple.

Many expected the SEC to take other actions to ensure it delays turning over the documents. James K. Filan, a former U.S. prosecutor, noted that the SEC had three possible maneuvers to ensure it keeps the documents away from Ripple. According to Filan, the SEC could have asked Judge Torres to reconsider her decision or request that she certifies an appeal of her decision. Lastly, he added that the SEC could directly approach the Court of Appeal for a Writ of Mandamus. However, the SEC chose not to take any actions and opted to hand over the documents to Ripple, as stated by Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s General Counsel.

“Over 18 months and 6 court orders later, we finally have the Hinman docs (internal SEC emails and drafts of his infamous 2018 speech),” Alderoty said.

Meanwhile, attorney John Deaton said the SEC referred to Hinman’s documents in its reply to Ripple’s summary judgment motion.

Elon Musk Responds to Brad Garlinghouse As SEC Finally Handover Hinman Docs to Ripple

Ripple Legal Team Finally Gets Its Hand On The Hinman Documents, As Elon Musk Appears To Show Support For Brad Garlinghouse’s Anti-SEC Sentiments.

The XRP community is excited as the SEC hands over Hinman documents, and Musk nods to Brad Garlinghouse’s sentiments.

In a tweet on Thursday, Ripple General Attorney Stuart Alderoty disclosed that after 18 long months, the SEC had finally handed over the documents related to the draft of the controversial William Hinman speech.

While Alderoty cannot disclose the details, for now, he asserts that it was worth fighting for, indicating that it will prove tremendous support to Ripple’s case.

In a speech in 2018, the SEC director of Corporate Affairs at the time, William Hinman, asserted that Ethereum was not a security. Notably, Ripple had tried to cite this in their case to show inconsistency in the SEC policies, as Ethereum had a similar background to XRP. However, the SEC had asserted that the views shared by Hinman were his own and did not represent the legal opinion of the SEC.

As such, the Hinman documents, as they are now known, have become a major contention in the case, with the SEC resisting several court rulings to release them with claims of attorney-client privilege till now. Notably, many see it as the possible tipping point in the legal battle.

Elon Musk Responds To Brad Garlinghouse

Notably, in response to the announcement by Alderoty, Ripple chief Brad Garlinghouse described the behavior of the SEC as shameful, asserting that they do not practice what they preach or even care about disclosure.

In a remarkable twist, the Ripple chief managed to get a response from Elon Musk. To the surprise of many who did not expect Musk to be following the Ripple case, the billionaire appeared to support Garlinghouse, sarcastically commenting, “No way,” to show that such behavior from the SEC did not surprise him.

It bears mentioning that the Tesla chief also has a rocky past with the SEC and is in the middle of a legal tussle with the regulatory body. Notably, the billionaire is seeking to overturn a decree that requires the billionaire to seek approval from his attorney before he can make disclosures related to Tesla on Twitter.

The decree resulted from a settlement of a securities fraud charge from the SEC in 2018. The charge came after Musk tweeted about having “funding secured” to make Tesla a private company.

Notably, Musk and his legal team are now contending against the decree calling it a violation of his right to free speech.

It is worth noting that Musk’s latest tweets have excited the XRP community, who see it as an act of support for Ripple and XRP. Notably, the billionaire’s support of cryptocurrencies in the past has often sent prices of his favored assets surging.

At press time, XRP is trading at $0.4462, down 2.77% in the last 24 hours.

Leandro Lopes CTO: Ethereum Merge Has Not Changed Anything for Users

0

Stanislav Scharapow is yet to see the importance of Ethereum Merge for investors.

Despite the enticing features associated with Ethereum Merge, Ethereum’s transition from a Proof-of-Work (PoW) model to Proof-of-Stake, investors are yet to enjoy these benefits.

According to a Forbes report today, Stanislav Scharapow, CTO of Portuguese designer Leandro Lopes, said the Merge is yet to usher in any significant changes that will affect how users interact with the network.

“The Merge only affected Ethereum’s price, which makes transactions a bit cheaper in fiat. There are concerns about possible network overtake by big money, but from a user and developer’s point of view, nothing has really changed for us,” Scharapow said.

On the contrary, Nigel Green, CEO of traditional asset management firm deVere Group said news of Ethereum Merge deployment is yet to price in as he thinks the event will eventually become a major catalyst that will boost the token’s price in the future.

Green added that institutional investors will be attracted to Ethereum as energy and transaction costs become lower.

Ethereum’s transition to a PoS algorithm consensus helped lower the network’s transaction and energy costs, as well as bolster transaction speed.

ETH Price Slump After Merge Upgrade

However, the launch of Ethereum Merge has caused a reduction in the price of the cryptocurrency. Following the launch of Ethereum Merge on September 15, the price of the cryptocurrency has slumped nearly 10%, with many investors becoming infuriated with the upgrade.

Before the upgrade went live, the price of ETH traded above $1,500. Unfortunately, ETH price has slumped below the $1,500 level since September 15. At press time, ETH is changing hands at $1,290, according to data from Coingecko.

Investors Blame Ethereum Merge

Although Fed’s efforts to curb rising inflation in the U.S. contributed to the underperformance of several digital currencies, including ETH, some investors still believe Ethereum Merge plays a pivotal role in the asset’s bearish price.

Ethereum’s transition to a Proof-of-Stake algorithm left miners behind. To continue the crypto mining activities, Ethereum miners, led by Chandler Guo, carried out a network fork, which gave birth to EthereumPoW (ETHW). Many investors who prefer the PoW model also followed these miners to the recently forked Ethereum network.

Switzerland-based Crypto Platform Swissborg Finally Lists Shiba Inu (SHIB)

0

Swissborg has welcomed Shiba Inu (SHIB) to its platform as it looks to expose its customers to SHIB.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) is scooping a considerable amount of mainstream attention despite the dreadful effects of the steadfast bear market. SHIB has been battered by the bears alongside the rest of the crypto market, but that has neither impeded its growth nor public acceptance rate.

Recent reports indicate that SHIB will be getting more attention in the mountainous Central European country of Switzerland, as top Swiss cryptocurrency platform Swissborg announced the asset listing through its official Twitter handle Wednesday.

The platform, which operates a hybrid cryptocurrency service for its large user base, revealed that the decision to list SHIB was incited by its growing community. It appears there had been massive demands for the asset on the platform.

“Woof Alert: the long-awaited (by some) listing of Shibtoken is here,” Swissborg remarked in a tweet. The platform further shared an official link to an article disclosing important information on Shiba Inu to highlight the significance of listing the asset.

Additionally, as a way to appreciate the community, Swissborg revealed a Play2Earn quest initiative on its dedicated Discord channel for SHIB proponents. Information from the T&C page reveals that the promotion began on Wednesday and will be available to users with verified Swissborg accounts aged 18 years and above.

Several users have expressed excitement for the listing as comments on the move pour in. The listing will expose customers to SHIB as they look to leverage the numerous offerings from Swissborg.

Founded in 2017 by entrepreneurs Anthony Lesoismier and Cyrus Fazel, Swissborg has grown to incorporate several cryptocurrency offerings for its users as the firm looks to build the perfect hybrid cryptocurrency application. The firm raised over $53M in funding at its launch.

Swissborg provides its users with Crypto Challenge App, which welcomes over 247K players, and a Smart Yield feature that enables users to earn yields in different cryptocurrencies. The listing of Shiba Inu just further broadened its offerings and indicated the platform’s hunger for growth.

Meanwhile, SHIB has been garnering public attention of late. Reports of the Swissborg listing came less than two weeks after Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX announced plans to list the asset.

Last month, Hong Kong-based CoinEX disclosed its listing of the Shiba Inu Ecosystem token, Bone ShibaSwap, as previously reported. Meanwhile, the SHIBArmy has been soliciting for Binance to list BONE.

Former SEC Commissioner Says Supreme Court Never Labeled The Orange a Security in Howey Case, Deaton Reacts

XRP Holders’ Attorney Deaton Reacts as Former SEC Commissioner Analyzes Howey Test.

For years, the SEC has used the U.S. Supreme Court’s Howey case to determine whether a cryptocurrency project qualifies as an investment contract to enable its classification as a security.

The Howey Case

The case involved the sale of orange groves to buyers in Florida by a company called Howey. After investors purchased the grove, they leased it back to Howey, whose workers nurtured it until the oranges were harvested and sold.

The company and the investors shared the profit. However, Howey was charged by the SEC for failing to register the investment with the agency. Thus, leading to the Supreme Court judgment that birthed the legal definition of an investment contract.

In the Howey case of 1946, the Supreme Court used four criteria to determine whether an investment contract exists. The criteria include an investment of money, a common enterprise with the expectation of a profit, and deriving the goal from the efforts of others.

These criteria are used by the SEC to label several cryptocurrency offerings, including Ripple (XRP), as security.

Grundfest Sheds More Light Into the Howey Test

In a recent interview, SEC’s former commissioner Joseph Grundfest shed more light on the Supreme Court judgment in the Howey case.

According to Grundfest, there was never a time the Supreme Court ruled that the orange was the security, adding that it was the complete package of the Howey business that was described as security. Grundfest noted the combination of the orange grove sale and the management contract that the court considered a security.

“The Supreme Court agreed with the SEC that the combination of the sale of the orange grove with the management contract was security. The Supreme Court at no point held, and this is really important, that orange was security. It was the package that was the security.” Grundfest said.

Attorney Deaton Reacts

Grundfest’s Howey test analysis sparked many reactions in the Ripple community. Attorney John Deaton, the founder of Crypto Law, said:

“Did Grundfest hack into my server and read part of my draft amicus brief?”

Meanwhile, a top U.S. legal expert claimed that the SEC strayed from the Howey test’s original meaning in its case against Ripple.

Ripple vs. SEC Lawsuit

Ripple is facing a suit filed by the SEC over its 2013 Initial Coin Offerings (ICO).

The Securities and Exchange Commission claims that the sale of XRP meets the Supreme Court’s definition of an investment contract, as stated in the Howey case.

Based on this, the SEC stated that Ripple should be punished for violating U.S. securities laws. On the other hand, Ripple had maintained that XRP is not a security, adding that it did not violate U.S. rules as claimed by the SEC.

The lawsuit has lasted more than a year, with XRP holders paying the ultimate price via the massive dip in the crypto’s value. Attorney Deaton, an amici curiae in the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit, has made a significant effort to ensure the financial regulator is held accountable for causing tremendous losses to XRP holders.

Shiba Inu is becoming more popular every day.

Africa’s oldest National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Virunga National Park, now accepts donations in more than 100 cryptocurrencies via The Giving Block, including Shiba Inu (SHIB).

Virunga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recently announced that it has partnered with the world’s leading digital fundraising platform, The Giving Block. This partnership would enable Africa’s oldest National Park to accept donations in more than 100 cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu.

Virunga National Park, a 7,800 square kilometers park located east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been populated with primates. About 689 rangers are dedicated to safeguarding the Park’s wildlife, and the Virunga National Park relies on donations to support its operations. UNESCO added Virunga National Park to its World Heritage Site list in 1979.

Moreover, the management of Virunga National Park aims to responsibly harness the Park’s natural resources to create opportunities for the four million people that live within a day’s walk of its borders. The Park’s management, with a vision to economically transform the region – creating jobs and reducing poverty- is currently focused on four key areas: hydropower, sustainable agriculture, fisheries, and tourism.

As reported by The Crypto Basic, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington D.C. Accepts Donations in 95+ Cryptocurrencies, Including Shiba Inu. Miami Presbyterian Church also accepts Shiba Inu.

On several occasions, Ethereum founder Vitalik expressed gratitude to Shiba Inu for contributing to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
