SOL Strategies Becomes First Solana Treasury Firm to List on NASDAQ

0

SOL Strategies opened trading on the NASDAQ today under the ticker STKE, becoming the first Solana treasury company to make it to Wall Street.

SOL Strategies Lists on NASDAQ

CEO Leah Wald called the launch a moment for the entire community rather than a closed-door celebration. Notably, she explained that while NASDAQ’s traditional bell-ringing ceremony happens in Times Square with a limited guest list, SOL Strategies wanted to do things differently.

The firm invited anyone to join its digital “on-chain bell ringing,” letting participants record their presence permanently on Solana. Wald said the goal was to create a celebration that matches the open nature of crypto, where anyone can take part rather than just a few invited guests.

Reacting, Matthew Sigel, head of digital asset research at Bitwise, pointed out that making it onto NASDAQ’s Global Select Market and earning SOC 2 certification gave SOL Strategies major credibility. He said those achievements will attract institutional capital and help the firm grow its staking flows.

For context, SOL Strategies first launched in 2018 under the name Cypherpunk Holdings. Back then, the company focused on privacy coins, blockchain innovation, and Bitcoin. Interestingly, at one point, it ranked among the top 20 institutional holders of Bitcoin, but despite that, its returns stalled, and the company needed a new direction.

SOL Strategies’ Pivot to a Solana Treasury

This change arrived in mid-2024 when Leah Wald, already a board member and formerly the head of Valkyrie Investments, stepped in as CEO.

Under her leadership, shareholders approved a full pivot toward Solana. Notably, by September 2024, the firm rebranded as SOL Strategies Inc. and committed to building a Solana-first treasury backed by staking and validator operations.

By 2025, the company doubled down on its Solana accumulation strategy. In May, it purchased more than 122,000 SOL worth about $20 million, followed days later by another 26,000 tokens. Its holdings neared 420,000 SOL by the end of that month.

Around the same time, SOL Strategies filed a $1 billion prospectus to raise funds for validator expansion and further Solana acquisitions. In August, it raised another $125 million in fresh equity, giving it even more firepower to grow.

As of August 31, 2025, SOL Strategies controls about 435,064 SOL worth over $93 million. This position makes it the third-largest corporate Solana holder worldwide.

Its approach resembles MicroStrategy’s strategy with Bitcoin, but SOL Strategies doesn’t just hold tokens. In addition to the accumulation pattern, it actively runs validators and earns staking rewards. Following its listing on NASDAQ, SOL Strategies’ HODL stock on the Canadian Securities Exchange spiked 4% today, crossing CA$13.

Top Pundit Shares XRP 2025 Year-End Prediction if Bitcoin Hits $150K to $200K

0

Ash Crypto, a market commentator with more than 1.9 million followers, has released fresh price targets for leading crypto assets, including XRP.

Specifically, his outlook ties the performance to Bitcoin’s potential run toward $200,000 by the end of 2025. The prediction comes as the market gradually enters another bullish phase after several weeks of sideways movement.

Bitcoin as the Market Driver

Ash Crypto’s forecast centers on Bitcoin setting the pace for the next phase of the bull market. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is at $112,678, up 0.71% in the past 24 hours. It briefly touched $113,200 today before settling slightly lower.

Notably, Bitcoin dropped to lows around $107,000 a week ago—the lowest point since establishing a peak in August.

Now, the leading crypto is making a gradual comeback, and bold predictions are resurfacing. Ash suggests BTC could end the year with peak prices between $150,000 and $200,000. Notably, this also aligns with the views of Michael Saylor.

This prediction suggests an upside of up to 77% from Bitcoin’s current level. Remarkably, a $200,000 price would give Bitcoin a valuation of around $4 trillion and set the stage for altcoins to follow.

XRP Outlook for 2025

Meanwhile, Ash’s prediction suggests XRP could even outperform Bitcoin’s movement. According to his estimates, XRP could rise to between $5 and $8 by year-end.

With XRP trading at $3.01 today, up 2.3% in the last 24 hours, this forecast implies a 65%–165% gain over the next four months.

Moreover, XRP has consistently shown its ability to outpace Bitcoin’s momentum. During the November–December 2024 bull run, while Bitcoin saw just over a 30% increase, XRP’s price surged by more than 400%.

Ash Crypto’s $5–$8 target places him among the more conservative voices, compared to analysts like Mario Nawfal, who recently predicted a $10 XRP if Bitcoin hits $225K, or Rekt Fencer, who projected $8.50–$9.

While this projection is more cautious than the double-digit calls by ultra-bullish analysts, it still marks a significant milestone as XRP approaches the $10 psychological threshold.

Notably, XRP ETFs, which will hold real XRP, are set to go live next month. Many believe this additional factor could increase demand for the coin, potentially driving its price higher. For instance, analyst Zach Rector has given a base price range of $20 to $30 for XRP over the next 15 months.

Ethereum, Solana, and Other Assets

Beyond XRP, Ash Crypto expects Ethereum to trade between $7,500 and $12,000. ETH is currently at $4,352, just below its all-time high of $4,950 reached last month.

He projects Solana to climb into the $400–$500 range, while BNB could hit $1,500–$2,000.

As for meme favorite Dogecoin, the analyst sees it reaching $1–$2, historic price points that have long been anticipated in the crypto market. As of today, DOGE is at $0.244, up 16% over the past day.

Other crypto assets that made the list include SUI, DOT, TON, WLFI, and ONDO. Among these, WLFI is the newest entrant, having debuted on the trading scene just nine days ago. While it hasn’t seen spectacular price action since launch, Ash sees potential for it to approach $1 this year.

Nasdaq to Invest $50M in Crypto Exchange Gemini IPO

0

Crypto exchange Gemini is preparing for a significant entry into traditional financial markets with its IPO scheduled for later this week.

According to reports, the cryptocurrency exchange, owned by the Winklevoss brothers Tyler and Cameron, is preparing to list in New York this week.

Nasdaq to Invest $50M in Gemini

Two sources with direct knowledge of the development disclosed that Gemini has already secured Nasdaq as a strategic investor in anticipation of the listing.

The sources claimed Nasdaq committed to invest $50 million in shares through a private placement at the time of the IPO. This commitment could lift Gemini’s IPO proceeds to as much as $317 million.

Nasdaq’s role in the deal goes beyond a financial investment. Its clients will gain access to Gemini’s staking and custody services, while Gemini users will benefit from Nasdaq’s Calypso platform, which enables firms to manage and track trading collateral.

Gemini to List in New York

The disclosure comes as Gemini prepares to list in New York on Friday. Roughly 16.66 million of its shares are expected to list on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol GEMI.

The move comes amid a rebound in U.S. equity capital markets, where investor demand for new listings has surged. This is reflected in the remarkable first-day performances from recent IPOs, including Firefly Aerospace and Figma.

Notably, crypto-related businesses, including Bullish exchange and USDC stablecoin issuer Circle, have also gone public in recent months. If successful, Gemini would be the third publicly traded crypto exchange in the U.S., ranking behind Bullish and Coinbase.

Launched in 2015, Gemini has gained immense popularity in the crypto market. It ranks among the largest U.S.-based crypto exchanges, boasting a lifetime volume of $285 billion. Currently, Gemini ranks as the 24th largest crypto exchange globally, with a daily trading volume of $201.91 million.

The exchange currently holds $21 billion in assets under custody and offers services ranging from OTC trading to a crypto credit card.

“Trust Me, We’re Still Early,” Pundit Insists After Conducting Real-Life XRP Adoption Assessment

0

A market commentator has suggested that current XRP investors are still early, after casually conducting a real-life adoption assessment.

Currently, XRP trades around $2.96, but at this price point, most investors wonder if they showed up too late. The concern comes from looking back at what earlier buyers achieved.

Earlier XRP Adopters Seeing Massive Gains

For instance, an early adopter who put $10,000 into XRP in January 2017, when it cost just $0.003, would have picked up 3.33 million tokens. At today’s price, this stack of XRP would be worth more than $9.86 million. Notably, stories like this lead to the belief that the window for outsized returns has already closed.

However, not everyone agrees. Several analysts argue the market is still young and that XRP has plenty of room left to grow. Specifically, they see low awareness and limited adoption as signs that the story is only beginning. Among those pushing this narrative is EGRAG Crypto, who recently shared a personal experience to make his point.

“Trust Me, We’re Still Early”

In a recent commentary, EGRAG described a casual evening with longtime friends who work in different industries such as furniture, used cars, IT for education, and general consumer goods.

When the conversation turned to crypto, they only spoke about Bitcoin and Ethereum. According to EGRAG, some of them expressed regret over missing Bitcoin when it traded at $300 or even $3,000. Meanwhile, others speculated that Ethereum could one day reach $30,000.

Nonethless, EGRAG stressed that there was some odd silence around XRP and other projects such as XLM, HBAR, FIL, VET, XDC, and VRA. He said nobody at the table mentioned them.

EGRAG suggested that this silence spoke louder than anything else. Notably, it proved that even now, most people remain unaware of these assets, especially XRP, despite it being the third-largest crypto asset globally. “Trust me, we’re still early,” he commented.

Other XRP Pundits Agree

Interestingly, several community commentators have made similar claims. Two months ago, Vincent Kennedy told investors who worry about being late to try mentioning XRP in their own everyday conversations. He argued that the blank looks they would receive would quickly prove how little awareness of XRP exists outside crypto circles.

Also, market commentator Edoardo Farina highlighted this in an analysis earlier this year. After evaluating XRPL wallet data, he found that only one in 5,000 people worldwide currently holds XRP. According to Farina, this confirms how early current investors are, as there is room for massive growth.

Notably, most of the pundits who suggest this believe this growth would translate to greater price levels, eventually bringing in similar returns that earlier adopters enjoyed. For instance, Farina has confirmed that he will not be selling his XRP tokens below the $100 mark. Meanwhile, last July, EGRAG predicted a possible XRP run to $50.

Upbit Introduces GIWA, a New Ethereum Layer 2 Solution

0

Dunamu, the operator of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, has announced the launch of GIWA, its own Ethereum Layer 2 network.

The announcement marks a major step in the company’s strategy to expand its blockchain footprint beyond exchanges.

GIWA is an acronym for Global Infrastructure for Web3 Access. The word also refers to traditional clay roof tiles in Korean architecture.

According to GIWA’s official website, the chain is built on Optimism’s OP Stack, a framework to scale Ethereum. The system promises block confirmation in one second, giving users a faster and smoother experience compared to traditional Ethereum transactions.

Moreover, GIWA’s codebase is built with Solidity, the programming language that powers Ethereum. This makes it easier for developers to port applications and reuse familiar tools. The compatibility reduces barriers and allows existing Ethereum-based tools and dApps to run on Giwa with minimal friction.

Currently, GIWA is running on testnet. Dunamu has not confirmed the exact launch date for its mainnet, but it expects to roll it out soon.

To complement the network, the company is also preparing the GIWA Wallet, a native digital wallet. This wallet will allow users to store, send, and interact with tokens and decentralized applications on the new chain.

Financial Utility and Stablecoin Push

At the Upbit D Conference (UDC) 2025, Dunamu CEO Oh Kyung-seok stated that GIWA will serve the financial sector. He also confirmed that the blockchain will support a local currency stablecoin, according to local outlet Bloomingbit.

His statement closely aligns with South Korea’s broader digital finance policy. President Lee Jae Myung supports the Korean won stablecoin as part of a national initiative and continues to call for a clear regulatory framework and an active market to safeguard the country’s currency sovereignty.

By linking government policy with Dunamu’s strategy, South Korea is creating the foundation for GIWA to play a central role in the nation’s stablecoin ecosystem.

The Strength of Upbit Exchange

Meanwhile, Upbit’s performance demonstrates the relevance of Dunamu’s blockchain initiatives. The exchange, while primarily serving South Korean investors, consistently ranks among the world’s largest trading platforms.

Data from CoinMarketCap shows Upbit processed about $2.25 billion in trades over the past 24 hours. This scale highlights the strength of its ecosystem and signals the potential impact of weaving GIWA into its services.

XRP Treasury Company VivoPower Now Supports RLUSD Payments, But Not XRP

0

Prominent XRP treasury company VivoPower International announced that its electric vehicle subsidiary now accepts payments in Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin.

VivoPower unveiled the initiative yesterday, emphasizing that customers and partners of its electric vehicle subsidiary, Tembo, can now make payments in RLUSD. The support addresses inefficiencies in the cross-border payments sector, encompassing high transaction costs and lengthy wait times.

RLUSD to Address Inefficiencies in Traditional Transfers

The firm stated that these inefficiencies are evident in developing markets where its customers and partners incur high transaction costs. However, Tembo aims to streamline its international payment processes via RLUSD integration. It highlighted that RLUSD offers near-instant settlement at a fraction of the cost for traditional transfers.

The press release also highlighted RLUSD’s key features, including its 1:1 peg to the US dollar. It also mentioned that the stablecoin is backed by short-term U.S. treasuries, USD deposits, and other cash equivalents.

Beyond reducing VivoPower’s transaction costs, the adoption of RLUSD aims to improve efficiency, foster innovation, and expand the company’s digital treasury.

Top Lawyer Reacts

The announcement drew attention from the XRP community. Some proponents interpret the move as a positive development for the token. Meanwhile, legal expert Bill Morgan clarified that VivoPower’s subsidiary, Tembo, only supports RLUSD payment, not XRP itself.

This clarification is important as some community members often assume that businesses adopting Ripple-related payment solutions also use XRP directly. In this case, VivoPower’s subsidiary adopted Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD as a payment method..

Limited Impact on XRP?

Although Ripple issues RLUSD on both the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ethereum, Morgan points out that the majority of its supply has been minted on Ethereum.

This suggests that the latest RLUSD adoption may have a limited direct impact on XRP, given the stablecoin’s heavier presence on Ethereum.

Earlier speculation suggested that rising demand for RLUSD could boost XRP activity. This is partly because transactions involving RLUSD on the XRPL require fees to be paid in XRP, which also drives demand for the native token.

However, since RLUSD is primarily minted on Ethereum, as Morgan suggested, VivoPower’s adoption of the stablecoin may have only a limited impact on XRP.

At the time of writing, RLUSD has a total market capitalization of $728.33 million. XRP trades at $3.03, up over 4% today.

Meanwhile, VivoPower is no stranger to the XRP community. Following its $121 million fundraiser, VivoPower disclosed plans to establish an XRP-focused reserve. It also unveiled plans to acquire $100 million worth of Ripple shares, alongside 211 million XRP tokens from the company’s holdings at discounted rates.

SwissBorg to Compensate Users After $41M Solana Staking Hack

0

Switzerland-based cryptocurrency platform SwissBorg confirmed on Monday that it suffered a major security breach in its Solana staking program.

The attack resulted in hackers draining about 192,600 SOL tokens worth over $41 million at the time.

In a video message on X, a company spokesperson explained that the compromise did not involve SwissBorg’s proprietary app or customer deposits held directly on the platform. Instead, the breach was traced back to its partner Kiln, whose API was compromised and became the entry point for attackers.

Attack Targeted SOL Earn Program

The stolen funds were from SwissBorg’s SOL Earn Program. This service lets customers stake Solana in exchange for yield. According to the company, the flaw in its partner’s system enabled attackers to exploit the connection and siphon tokens.

Meanwhile, SwissBorg emphasized that other Earn Programs and core services remain secure. The company is now working to finalize the total impact on customers.

Immediate Recovery Plan

In a post on X, SwissBorg confirmed that it plans to utilize its SOL treasury to assist affected users in restoring a significant portion of their balances. The company added that final amounts would be announced soon.

In addition, SwissBorg has enlisted the help of white-hat hackers and security experts to trace and potentially recover the stolen tokens. The firm stated that the ultimate goal is to make all users whole.

Crypto Security Concerns Widen

The breach at SwissBorg coincided with another major cybersecurity scare within the digital assets industry. On the same day, the compromise of an NPM software developer led to a supply chain attack, raising fresh alarms.

A supply chain attack differs from direct wallet or exchange hacks. Instead, it involves attackers infiltrating trusted software distribution channels, making it harder to detect and prevent.

Commenting on the broader risk, Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet advised crypto investors who are not using hardware wallets to pause on-chain transactions temporarily.

Commitment Moving Forward

SwissBorg has reassured users that its app and other programs remain fully operational and unaffected by the hack. The company stated it is committed to learning from the breach. To that end, it will implement additional security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

While losses of this scale continue to shake confidence in centralized staking platforms, SwissBorg’s decision to cover user balances may help preserve trust among its community. Final details on compensation will be out in the coming days.

Cardano Breaks Out of Bull Pennant That Previously Led to 44% Rally

0

Cardano breaks out of a major bullish formation, with the setup sparking optimism that a notable price uptick is on the horizon if history repeats.

The blue-chip asset is up 3% today, joining a broader market trend. However, according to historical data shared by top crypto pundit Lark Davies, ADA could ramp things up with a 44% price rally.

Cardano Bull Pennant Breakout

Specifically, he based this bullish outlook on a breakout from a bullish pennant on the daily timeframe yesterday. After a period of price consolidation within the structure, which spanned from the August 14 high of $1.020 until September 7, Cardano has finally broken free.

Cardano Bull Pennant Breakout/Lark Davies

Notably, this setup could spur a substantial price rally for Cardano. Davis identified that ADA surged 44% in a few weeks the last time this happened.

For context, Cardano formed a similar pattern from a high of $0.935 in July 21 and trended within it until an August 3 breakout. Upon defying the pattern, it surged 44% to reach the current structure’s starting point at $1.02 on August 14.

While history may not actually repeat, it often rhymes. As a result, Davis questioned if this might set ADA up for a 44% rally from its breakout point of $0.836. Notably, this would see Cardano reach $1.205, which is 36% away from its current market price.

Multiple Confirmations of Cardano Price Breakout

Meanwhile, analyst Ali Martinez also confirmed that Cardano has broken out. He shared in an X post today, predicting that the token’s next target is $0.92.

An accompanying chart also shows that ADA emerged from a bull pennant, but on the 4-hour timeframe. Cardano also broke out on September 7 and has sustained the breakout, supporting the bullish outlook.

Cardano Breakout/Ali Martinez

The rally to $0.92 aligns with the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement level, representing a mere 4% rally from the current market price.

Moreover, TapTools’ X handle highlighted the recent downtrend breakout, forecasting a potential rally to over $1. Notably, there are much higher price expectations for Cardano, with a notable analyst claiming that selling below $5 is selling short of the token’s bullish potential this cycle.

Not Only XRP: Chainalysis Now Tracks 260K+ Tokens on XRPL

0

Leading blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis has expanded its support for the XRP Ledger, extending its coverage beyond XRP to include the broader ecosystem of XRPL tokens.

In an announcement on Monday, Chainalysis stated that it has expanded its coverage for XRPL, a network it referred to as one of the long-standing blockchains in the industry.

Extended XRPL Support on Chainalysis

For context, Chainalysis’ initial support for the XRPL focused mainly on XRP, the primary token of the blockchain.

With this extended support, Chainalysis will now cover more than 260,000 tokens on the XRPL. This includes IOUs, multi-purpose tokens, and XRPL-based NFT standard assets. The move aims to provide users, including institutions and regulators, with more in-depth insights into the XRP Ledger.

For customers, this extended support means enhanced compliance and investigative capabilities for XRPL native assets. They can now use Chainalysis KYT (Know Your Transaction) to monitor all XRPL tokens in real time, while also receiving alerts for suspicious activity.

Notably, this extended support is also available in Chainalysis’ Reactor investigation tool and entity screening. With the integration, users can visualize fund flows, trace transactions, and detect potential illicit activity across the XRPL ecosystem.

Chainalysis Highlights XRPL Core Features

Meanwhile, Chainalysis provided insights into the performance of XRPL since its launch in 2012. The analytics firm noted that the XRP Ledger is recognized for its reputation in cross-border payments, thanks to its speed and low transaction costs.

Chainalysis claimed that the network has processed over 3.3 billion transactions spanning more than 90 million blocks.

Moreover, it highlighted XRP’s strong community backing and the token’s consistent ranking among the top 10 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Furthermore, it frames XRPL as a decentralized project that currently maintains nearly 200 validators.

The development coincides with a broader crypto market relief rally, with XRPL-based assets, including XRP, posting modest gains. At the time of writing, XRP has climbed above the $3 mark, soaring 4.24% in the past day to trade at $3.01. It ranks as the third-biggest cryptocurrency, boasting a market valuation of $179.78 billion.

Analyst Says Expect XRP Biblical Rally in Q4 2025 Before a 90% Crash

0

As XRP now approaches the $3 mark again, analyst JayDee projects that the coin could stage a “biblical rally” in Q4 2025.

He is forecasting a blow-off top toward the end of the year, while also cautioning against getting carried away by the momentum and forgetting to take profits.

This came in a tweet on Monday where JayDee spotlighted XRP dominance charts. He suggested that the market could be entering a critical setup ahead of the next bull cycle.

Historical data shows that when the Stochastic RSI (SRSI) on the monthly timeframe crosses bullishly, XRP typically experiences a powerful rally. According to JayDee, this setup has led to some of XRP’s most dramatic gains in past cycles.

The Pattern of Rally and Collapse

Looking back at previous bull runs, XRP dominance surged sharply after confirming a bullish SRSI cross in 2017. This rally led XRP to break an all-time high that cycle. Another bullish cross appeared in mid-2024, culminating in a breakout by the end of the year.

However, according to JayDee, these explosive moves have consistently been followed by a collapse of more than 90%. This view largely takes inspiration from what followed after XRP reached a peak in 2018, when it lost over 90% just weeks after hitting $3.84.

JayDee describes this as a repeating pattern, where excitement drives XRP higher, only to be followed by a devastating crash that wipes out late entrants.

XRP “Biblical Rally” in Late 2025

If the current setup confirms at the close of the monthly candle, JayDee expects XRP to embark on what he calls a “BIBLICAL RALLY” during the fourth quarter of 2025. This move could see XRP dominance surge to levels not seen in years.

For context, XRP’s dominance is currently only at 4.61% of the global $3.9 trillion market. This gives it a market cap of $178 billion today, with a price of $2.98 at press time.

JayDee expects XRP’s dominance to rise close to 12% by the end of the blow-off top. Assuming the market stays largely at its current level while XRP dominance increases, this would give XRP a market cap of over $460 billion, with a price near $8.

Meanwhile, if the global crypto market reaches $10 trillion and XRP’s dominance rises to 12%, its market cap would be in the trillions, giving the coin a market price above $20.

Warning of a 90% Rug Pull After the Peak

Despite the bullish outlook, JayDee warns investors not to be complacent. He predicts the rally could end in a “rug pull” style crash, wiping out as much as 90% of the gains. His commentary stresses that inexperienced investors tend to buy at cycle tops, providing exit liquidity for seasoned traders.

Essentially, he is cautioning against entering at the height of the bull run to avoid incurring financial losses.

Commenting on the post, a market participant expressed disagreement with JayDee’s view. They suggested Ripple is building significant products to sustain XRP’s price trend, rather than seeing the coin dump hard after a major pump.

Meanwhile, the analyst maintained that historical patterns support his claims that a hard crash often follows XRP’s frenzy.
