XRP Closes Nine Straight Months Above $2 Despite Ongoing Downturns

0

Remarkably enough, XRP has managed to close every month above the $2 mark since December 2024 despite extended periods of price downturns.

Saul, an XRP community figure, recently called attention to this impressive feat amid the latest XRP price struggles. For context, XRP is down nearly 10% over the past four weeks, having relinquished both the $3 and $2.9 price marks and battling the bears at the $2.8 region.

Despite the broader crypto market witnessing a similar decline, having lost over $410 billion since its peak last month, some XRP investors have expressed concerns. For instance, last month, crypto influencer Bitlord suggested he was selling all his XRP tokens if XRP returned to $2. At the time, XRP traded for $2.82.

XRP’s Historical Battle Below $2

However, the market data shared by Saul confirms that XRP is largely in a better position than it was months back, and the recent panic might be unwarranted, considering its latest feats. Specifically, Saul pointed out that before November 2024, XRP’s highest monthly close was $1.99 in December 2017.

This is particularly accurate, according to data from Bitstamp, the world’s longest-running crypto exchange. Notably, XRP witnessed an impressive 746.81% increase in December 2017, correcting to a price of $1.99 from its peak of $2.47 that month. XRP closed November 2017 at $1.99 after recording its largest monthly gain ever.

The next month, December 2017, it soared to the $3.31 peak before correcting again. This time, the bulls did not mount a potent enough defense, leading to a drop to $0.87 before XRP eventually closed December 2017 at $1.12, lower than the $1.99 November 2017 close.

XRP Has Not Closed Below $2 Since December 2024

From that period, XRP failed to even reclaim $1.99, much less record a monthly close above it. This bearish trend continued for seven years, until December 2024. Building on the uptrend that began in November 2024 following the U.S. elections, XRP reclaimed a peak of $2.9 in December 2024 and closed the month at $2.07, marking a new monthly close ATH.

XRP 1M Chart

Interestingly, since then, XRP has not closed a month below $2 despite the intermittent downturns that have emerged for the most part of the year, with its highest monthly close above $3 coming up in January 2025.

Notably, most analysts insist that XRP’s hold above $2 amid this bearish price action confirms its resilience and indicates a readiness to soar to higher levels once a recovery push comes.

For instance, market commentator DustyBC confirmed last month that he was buying all the XRP dips. According to him, the $2 to $3 range is now acting like the $0.45 to $0.55 region, which XRP traded in for an extended period before breaking out. If this holds true, a breakout from this $2 area is imminent and could lead to higher targets.

Mastercard Says Crypto ‘Enriches, Not Replaces’ Its Payment Network

0

Mastercard is embracing crypto as part of its global payment network, but stresses that stability, security, and compliance remain at the core of its strategy.

In an interview with Grégory Raymond, Co-founder of The Big Whale, Christian Rau detailed how the American group is gradually weaving blockchain technology into its global payment network. Rau, who leads Mastercard’s crypto division in Europe, outlined the company’s strategy and long-term vision.

The conversation touched on stablecoins, partnerships with wallet providers, technical challenges, and the possibility of Mastercard building its own blockchain in the future.

Crypto as Part of Mastercard’s Core Mission

Rau emphasized that cryptocurrencies complement Mastercard’s long-standing mission rather than replace it. He noted that for over five decades, the company has prioritized safe, compliant, and universal payments.

“Crypto does not reinvent our system, it enriches it,” Rau said. This approach shows how Mastercard integrates innovation while preserving the trust and protections of its global network.

Stablecoins: Useful but Not a Replacement

The rise of stablecoins is undeniable. In 2024, global stablecoin transfer volumes reached $27.6 trillion, surpassing the combined totals of Visa and Mastercard, according to CEX.io. Rau acknowledged their growing importance, noting they can improve cross-border settlements and reduce exchange-rate risks.

However, he underlined their limits. Stablecoins do not provide the same protection that users expect from global payment networks.

“They cannot replace the services we provide, such as fraud protection or dispute handling,” Rau stressed. For Mastercard, stablecoins are a building block, not a threat.

He added that this massive adoption is not viewed as competition but as a complementary tool that can accelerate innovation across the payment sector.

Partnerships and Technical Challenges

In addition, Rau highlighted Mastercard’s growing collaborations with crypto players as a way to make digital assets practical in everyday commerce.

“We are working with MetaMask, BitGet Exchange, and MoonPay to simplify access,” he explained.

According to Rau, the company’s crypto-backed cards are designed to keep the process seamless for merchants.

“At the time of payment, the digital asset is transparently converted into fiat. The merchant only sees a normal card transaction.”

He also discussed the complexity of integrating non-custodial wallets.

“With MetaMask, we had to create an architecture where a smart contract checks the availability of funds in real time,” Rau noted. This, he said, ensures compliance and security while allowing customers to use decentralized wallets.

Scale, Security, and Compliance as Differentiators

While blockchain networks often advertise faster speeds, Mastercard emphasizes scale and reliability. The company processes around 5,000 transactions per second, but Rau said speed is only one part of the equation.

“What matters is the full ecosystem—fraud checks, compliance, dispute resolution. That’s what gives our network value,” he explained.

This highlights why traditional payment systems remain attractive despite the rapid growth of crypto alternatives.

Blockchain: Not Yet, but Not Impossible

Currently, Mastercard has no public project to build its own blockchain. Rau noted that the company prioritizes interoperability with existing networks. Still, he left the door open to launching a proprietary blockchain if no other system meets Mastercard’s needs.

Despite the rapid evolution of digital assets, Mastercard’s long-term vision hasn’t shifted. Its central mission remains simple: enable people to pay and businesses to get paid securely.

Crypto is therefore seen not as a disruptive force but as an additional layer that strengthens Mastercard’s role in the global financial system.

Analyst Shares 3 Reasons the XRP Bull Run Isn’t Over

0

A market analyst has shared three reasons he believes the current XRP bull run is not yet over.

XRP has continued to face intense selling pressure in recent weeks, with its price dipping to $2.69 yesterday before recovering to around $2.80. This bottom marked XRP’s lowest price since July. The move triggered discussion within the community as some longtime holders expressed frustration and even threatened to sell their positions if the coin fails to climb higher.

However, technical analyst EGRAG maintains that the latest correction is nothing more than short-term noise. In his latest chart update, he emphasized that XRP’s bullish structure on the monthly timeframe remains intact.

3 Reasons the XRP Bull Run Isn’t Over

EGRAG highlighted three key factors supporting his bullish stance. First, he noted that XRP has not lost its body candle structures on the monthly chart. Second, he said the price has not fallen below any major Fibonacci levels, with the $1.99 level acting as a strong base.

Moreover, for his third reason, EGRAG pointed out that XRP remains above the 21 EMA, a major indicator for sustaining long-term momentum.

Unless these conditions are broken, the analyst said he refuses to declare the XRP bull run over. He continues to believe that XRP has one more leg upward. Among his immediate expectations for XRP is for the coin to target $3.90, which would mark an all-time high, aligning with the 1.272 Fibonacci level on the monthly chart.

He expects this momentum to continue, with XRP eventually reaching the $9.22 range, aligning with the 1.618 Fibonacci level. These moves would require the coin to surge around 40% to 230%.

EGRAG XRP Monthly chart
EGRAG XRP Monthly chart

Meanwhile, EGRAG has much higher expectations for XRP before the current cycle peaks. Among these ambitious outlooks for XRP are price targets of $18, $23, and $46, which demand growth of 542%, 721%, and 1,543%, respectively.

XRP Comeback Only a Matter of Time

Analyst Matt Hughes (aka The Great Mattsby) has also shared a similar bullish view amid the dipping price. He pointed to XRP’s technical structure, particularly its performance within a Gann Fan on the weekly chart, as evidence that a major move is imminent.

XRP has flipped past resistance levels like $0.50–$1.00 and the 2021 peak of $1.96, turning them into solid support. Even the $3.00 psychological level has acted as a consistent floor, with XRP often reclaiming it after dips. Hughes calls this zone the “final boss,” suggesting that once it becomes firm support, a parabolic breakout could follow.

Echoing this view, macro investor Raoul Pal says XRP is “fully porting” to higher levels as capital rotates from Bitcoin.

Investor Sentiment Low

This optimistic view contrasts with growing frustration from other XRP bulls. Influencer Crypto Bitlord recently said he would sell “every last cent” if XRP fell back to $2, claiming that after more than a decade of holding, the coin has failed to deliver the wealth-building potential he once envisioned.

Despite such criticism, XRP remains up more than 410% year-on-year at its current price of $2.80. This performance, though shy of some long-term expectations, still positions XRP as one of the stronger altcoin performers of the past year.

UAE’s RAK Properties to Accept Bitcoin Payments for Real Estate Purchases

0

Ras Al Khaimah’s leading property developer in the UAE, RAK Properties, has signed a landmark deal with fintech firm Hubpay to accept cryptocurrency payments for its properties.

Following a newly announced partnership with UAE-based Hubpay, the company will now allow property purchases to be completed using cryptocurrencies.

The list of accepted tokens includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether. Transactions will be converted in real time to UAE dirhams via Hubpay’s licensed platform. This ensures that all funds are deposited straight into RAK Properties’ accounts, avoiding any risk from crypto market fluctuations.

Innovation Meets Real Estate Tradition

For RAK Properties, the decision is more than just a payment upgrade. It is part of a broader initiative to modernize Ras Al Khaimah’s property sector and make it appealing to younger, tech-savvy investors worldwide.

RAK Properties is embracing innovation by allowing clients to use digital assets for transactions, according to Rahul Jogani, the company’s Chief Financial Officer. He noted that this move opens doors to a new group of investors who prioritize digital-first solutions.

The company also plans to expand access to its real estate offerings, targeting buyers from various regions, including those with significant holdings in digital currencies.

This initiative also supports Ras Al Khaimah’s Vision 2030, which focuses on economic growth, diversification, and attracting more foreign investment. By accepting cryptocurrency payments, RAK Properties is contributing to these goals and expanding its project reach to international buyers.

Hubpay Brings Regulatory Strength

Hubpay, the fintech partner in this deal, is regulated by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). It works with partners licensed by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to ensure compliance at every step.

Kevin Kilty, CEO of Hubpay, described the deal as a major milestone for the regional real estate market. He underscored that the platform would integrate operational efficiency with regulatory oversight, guaranteeing both speed and security in transactions.

Crypto Payments Debut Amid Project Expansion

The timing of this announcement is significant. RAK Properties is currently expanding Mina Al Arab, its flagship waterfront development. The company aims to deliver more than 800 housing units by the end of this year.

By adding cryptocurrency payment options, the company aims to broaden the project’s global appeal, particularly among international buyers seeking alternative payment methods.

UAE’s Growing Role in Digital Finance

The UAE is emerging as one of the world’s most attractive hubs for blockchain and digital assets, thanks to clear regulations and a business-friendly environment that are drawing global players. Its rise comes as other regions, particularly Europe, move in the opposite direction.

Europe’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework imposes strict requirements on stablecoin issuers. Smaller firms must hold 30% of their reserve assets in low-risk EU banks, whereas major players such as Tether must maintain at least 60%.

While intended to safeguard the financial system, many in the industry see these rules as overly restrictive. This prompted some companies to seek out more accommodating jurisdictions, placing the UAE firmly in the spotlight.

In May, a state-backed UAE investment firm announced a $2 billion investment in Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange. According to reports, the deal used the USD1 stablecoin connected to World Liberty Financial.

Shiba Inu Team Shares Shytoshi Kusama Vision for SHIB Ecosystem on X

0

The Shiba Inu team has released all eight episodes of Shy Speaks SHIB on X, offering the community direct access to the lead developer’s vision.

In a post yesterday, marketing specialist Lucie called the community’s attention to the eight episodes of Shy Speaks SHIB. The podcast, which commenced this year, provides an avenue for Kusama to unravel the mysteries behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem, as well as its technological breakthroughs.

Hosted by Kusama, the podcast has featured notable developers and founders, including Shant Kevonian, the CEO of Ethermail.

At launch, the team initially released episodes from the podcast on music platforms like Spotify. However, following strong community demand, it streamed all eight episodes on X yesterday.

Shy Speaks SHIB Episodes Stream on X

Notably, Lucie announced that the entire eight episodes, totaling seven hours of unfiltered commentary from Kusama, were streaming on X. Summarizing the podcast, she suggested that every conversation focused on Shiba Inu’s path to decentralization.

According to her, the topics of the podcast include Oscar, Karma, FHE Privacy, the Hoichi Bridge, meme culture, and Shibarium development stack.

Karma, FHE Privacy, and Hoichi Systems

The various topics are not new to Shiba Inu enthusiasts, as the team has previously shed light on them.

For instance, Karma is a gamified system that launched on Puppynet, the beta version of Shibarium, earlier this year. Under Karma, Shiba Inu community members are rewarded with experience points (XP) for completing various tasks.

Rewards vary depending on the task completed. Notably, a user who burns SHIB may earn more XP than someone performing a swap on ShibaSwap. The Karma project is still in the beta phase, and the team has yet to confirm when it will go live on Shibarium.

Launched last month, Hoichi is a cross-chain tool that integrates Shibarium with the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. As a third-party bridge, Hoichi facilitates cross-chain interactions across over 60 blockchain networks.

The FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) initiative helped to introduce advanced privacy and security to the Shiba Inu project. Shiba Inu’s ecosystem team partnered with Zama.ai for the FHE initiative in February 2024. Interestingly, Zama.ai’s CEO, Rand Hindin, sat down with Kusama in the episode relating to the FHE privacy topic.

Shiba Inu Confirms Bullish Pattern as Analyst Eyes 570% Rally

0

A popular crypto chartist speculates that Shiba Inu could be gearing up for a major rally toward the $0.000081 price region.

In recent weeks, Shiba Inu holders have experienced losses, with SHIB’s price plunging in tandem with a broader market downturn. Shiba Inu, which reached a 30-day high of $0.00001417 on August 14, is currently trading at $0.00001228, marking a 13.3% decline.

Bullish Divergence Confirmed

However, analyst Javon Marks believes Shiba Inu’s downtrend could soon be a thing of the past. According to him, Shiba Inu has confirmed a bullish pattern in a regular bullish divergence with the MACD histogram — a momentum gauge that indicates trend changes.

For context, this bullish divergence occurs when an asset’s price makes a lower low, while the MACD histogram makes higher lows. The setup suggests that SHIB’s downward momentum is waning, and the asset may be poised for an upward reversal.

Based on this bullish setup, Marks speculated that SHIB could rally 163% from its current levels, driving its price to the $0.00003 region.

With SHIB currently priced at $0.00001228, a 163% surge could see the token trade at $0.00003229. The last time SHIB traded around the $0.00003 region was in early December, following the re-election of President Donald Trump.

Interestingly, Marks suggested that Shiba Inu’s climb to $0.00003 may only be the beginning of a much larger upward movement. If the bullish momentum continues, the analyst predicts that Shiba Inu could surge over 570% toward the $0.000081 price level.

Shiba Inu path to $0000081
Shiba Inu path to $0000081

Mark’s $0.000081 Target

It is worth noting that Marks has maintained this $0.000081 target since last year. He has consistently updated his followers about Shiba Inu’s performance and the asset’s path to the $0.000081 target.

As in previous analyses, Marks did not share when the highly anticipated $0.000081 prediction would materialize. Achieving this target puts Shiba Inu closer toward reclaiming its peak price of $0.00008845.

Several analysts believe that Shiba Inu will surpass its previous peak price this year, with some projecting a climb to $0.0001 and beyond.

At its current price of $0.00001228, Shiba Inu would need to climb 559% to reach Mark’s $0.000081 target and 623% to revisit its previous all-time high of $0.00008845.

Top SWIFT Exec Takes Aim at XRP, Says Surviving Lawsuit Isn’t Resilience

0

SWIFT’s Chief Innovation Officer, Tom Zschach, has taken aim at Ripple and XRP, arguing that merely surviving lawsuits does not equate to true resilience.

He shared this perspective in a comment on his LinkedIn post, stressing that trust and shared governance remain the true pillars of financial stability.

In the post, Zschach stated that every major shift in finance has been built on trust, rather than purely on technology. He believes that while technology may initiate change, it is trust that ultimately drives adoption.

Calling attention to past trends, from internet payments to blockchain, Zschach argued that financial institutions only act when compliance, security, and legal enforceability are firmly established.

He pointed out that many past innovations, such as stablecoins and DeFi, failed to gain widespread adoption because they lacked the necessary trust and legal backing.

However, Zschach believes public blockchains have become too significant to ignore in 2025. They are beginning to support real-world use cases, such as tokenized government bonds, blockchain-based financial guarantees, and cross-border payments that settle quickly and securely.

Still, he stressed that blockchains alone are not the complete solution. Safeguards and legal protections are required for institutional trust and adoption.

Advocate: Ripple Already Shows Readiness for Institutional Use

Meanwhile, in response to Zschach’s comments, Osama E., Agile Lead at Sharkforce Consulting, argued that the XRPL stands out as one of the most thoroughly tested blockchains in the industry.

He highlighted Ripple’s long-standing focus on compliance and regulatory engagement. He asserted that XRP has been “battle-hardened” through nearly five years of intense legal scrutiny, making it unique among public blockchains.

According to Osama, Ripple’s decade-long commitment to interoperability and its global regulatory partnerships demonstrate its readiness for institutional adoption.

“Surviving a Lawsuit Is No Big Deal”

However, Zschach disagreed. He stated that simply surviving legal battles does not make a blockchain resilient. The industry expert argued that true resilience comes from neutral, shared governance.

He further stressed that institutions will not operate on infrastructure controlled by a single company. According to him, real compliance isn’t about one company securing regulatory approval. Instead, it’s about an entire industry agreeing on open standards not governed by any one entity.

Image

Ripple’s Survival Means a Lot for the Industry

Meanwhile, Osama countered by presenting Ripple’s legal battle as a major turning point for the entire blockchain industry. He argued that Ripple’s ability to continue growing—even while XRP was being labeled a security in the U.S.—shows a different kind of resilience.

He also pointed to Ripple’s global expansion and strategic acquisitions as evidence that the company is helping to establish important legal precedents that may benefit other blockchain firms in the future.

XRP Army Reacts

Zschach’s comments have stirred strong reactions from the XRP community. Supporters see his remarks as yet another attack from a traditional financial institution feeling threatened by Ripple and XRP.

The long-standing narrative of XRP potentially replacing SWIFT has been a hot topic in the crypto space—and one that hasn’t sat well with SWIFT or its allies. Prominent XRP community figure Eri previously revealed that SWIFT’s official X account had blocked her amid her XRP advocacy.

Notably, Ripple’s CEO once predicted that XRP could be handling up to 14% of SWIFT’s volume by the end of this decade.

WLFI Debut Pushes Trump Family Crypto Wealth Beyond $6 Billion

0

U.S. President Donald Trump and his sons have secured a multibillion-dollar windfall as their new cryptocurrency WLFI launched with massive trading volumes.

The Trump family’s much-anticipated cryptocurrency project, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), officially entered the trading market on Monday.

Within just one hour of its debut, more than $1 billion worth of WLFI tokens changed hands on Binance, one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges. The trading surge confirmed strong interest from both retail and institutional investors.

This event marked the crypto equivalent of an initial public offering (IPO), giving early buyers their first chance to trade the tokens. Until now, investors who participated last year had no way to exchange their holdings. With the launch, they finally gained access to limited trading rights, as restrictions remain in place.

Trump Family Holds Quarter of Token Supply

The Trump family collectively holds about 25% of all WLFI tokens in existence. U.S. President Donald Trump is recognized as “Co-Founder Emeritus,” while his three sons, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Barron Trump, serve as official co-founders of World Liberty.

The company emphasized that founders’ tokens remain locked and cannot be sold at this time. Still, the valuation of these holdings has skyrocketed, creating a paper fortune worth over $6 billion for the family.

WLFI Market Cap Reaches $5.7 Billion

Data from Binance shows that WLFI began trading at $0.20 per token. As of press time, the token trades at $0.2302, representing a 21% increase. At this price, WLFI’s overall market capitalization stands at $5.7 billion, ranking it the 26th largest cryptocurrency worldwide.

Early Backers Face Trading Limits

Investors who bought WLFI directly from World Liberty last year paid just 1.5 cents per token. That investment is now worth nearly 15 times more on paper.

However, the company has imposed restrictions: early buyers can only trade 20% of their holdings initially. This measure is to prevent sudden sell-offs that could destabilize the token’s price.

World Liberty’s Financial Moves

World Liberty Financial raised $750 million from investors during its initial phase. A large portion of this funding was used to acquire the cryptocurrency itself. According to company disclosures, the Trump family will retain 75% of revenue from WLFI token sales, potentially generating $500 million in direct profits.

This structure ensures that the family benefits heavily from continued trading activity, even as other investors face selling limits.

Beyond WLFI: Trump’s Expanding Crypto Empire

WLFI is not the only digital asset tied to the Trump name. The family also controls a memecoin branded as TRUMP, which carries a multibillion-dollar market value.

Additionally, a Trump-owned trust holds a majority stake in Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT), the parent company of Truth Social. Trump Media itself invests in cryptocurrencies and currently owns about $2.5 million worth of digital assets.

Taken together, these holdings reflect a broad push by Trump into the blockchain economy.

Risks and Political Questions

Market observers caution that the Trump family’s paper wealth could shrink rapidly if WLFI faces heavy selling pressure. In volatile crypto markets, even modest sell-offs by large holders can cause sharp price declines.

Critics also raise concerns about potential conflicts of interest. Some fear that investors could attempt to use the project to seek political favor, particularly given Trump’s current position in office.

The White House responded to these criticisms through Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who said the president and his family “will never engage in conflicts of interest.”

Leadership and Management

World Liberty Financial is led by Zach Witkoff, son of Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff. While Witkoff maintains that the company is “non-political,” he also praised Trump as “the greatest president of all time.”

What’s Next for WLFI?

For supporters, WLFI represents a chance to invest in Trump’s vision of “making America great again with crypto.” For critics, it raises new ethical and regulatory questions.

With WLFI now ranked among the top 30 cryptocurrencies, the project faces intense scrutiny. Its success depends on maintaining investor confidence while avoiding the steep price swings common in the sector.

For the Trump family, the launch has already created a multibillion-dollar paper fortune. The coming months will reveal whether WLFI can sustain momentum or if political and financial risks will overshadow its early gains.

Wealth Manager Says XRP ETF Approval Odds Are Closer to 100%

0

Nate Geraci, the president of NovaDius Wealth Management, highlights the growing market confidence surrounding the potential approval of a spot XRP ETF this year.

He referenced data from Polymarket showing that XRP ETF approval odds stood at 87%. This indicates that Polymarket users are 87% confident the U.S. SEC will approve at least one XRP ETF this year.

Notably, the data shows a 16% surge in approval odds over the past year. This reflects heightened confidence in the likelihood of XRP ETFs launching by the end of 2025.

Approval Is Near Certain

Meanwhile, Geraci believes the approval odds are closer to 100%. To him, it is almost certain that the XRP ETFs will go live this year. Despite his belief, he warned investors not to consider his speculation a formal investment recommendation.

Image

For context, Polymarket enables users to bet on real-world events, spanning a range of topics from politics to economic developments. Before the launch of Ethereum and Bitcoin ETFs, traders on the platform had also assigned high approval odds—and both products were eventually approved in the U.S.

The same scenario is playing out for XRP, with approval odds currently standing at 87%. On June 3, bettors’ confidence spiked to around 98.2% but has dipped slightly ot the current level at 87%.

XRP ETF Race Intensifies

Meanwhile, the XRP ETF race has been gaining momentum lately. Last month, several issuers, including Bitwise, Canary, Grayscale, and Franklin, updated their XRP ETF applications. According to the update, the issuers require the funds to facilitate XRP or cash creations, as well as cash or in-kind redemptions.

At the time, many analysts suggested that the update indicated that prospective issuers were addressing specific SEC requests. So far, the SEC has postponed its decision on XRP ETFs on several occasions. However, by October 2025, the securities regulator must decide on these pending XRP products.

People Are Underestimating Demand for XRP ETF

Meanwhile, Geraci noted that many people are underestimating the demand XRP ETFs will attract. This suggests that he expects the demand for the investment product to exceed people’s expectations.

He noted that the same thing happened with spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs before they went live. In his follow-up comment, he shared screenshots of his prediction about strong demand for ETFs separately tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Although skeptics expressed doubts before the launch, the products eventually attracted strong interest. For context, Bitcoin ETFs have attracted over $54 billion in inflows, and Ethereum funds have recorded inflows worth $13.53 billion.

How High Could XRP Go, Here’s XRP Value If Bitcoin Hits $500 Trillion

0

XRP price would benefit substantially if Bitcoin ever claimed a $500 trillion market cap, as recently predicted by the Twenty One Capital CEO.

For context, Jack Mallers, CEO of Bitcoin company Twenty One Capital, claimed that Bitcoin was on track to become a $500 trillion asset. He said this while speaking with Bloomberg on the ambitions of his company and how they plan to focus only on Bitcoin.

Jack Mallers Sees Bitcoin Reaching $500T Valuation

Specifically, Mallers revealed that Twenty One Capital seeks to be more than a Bitcoin treasury company like Michael Saylor’s Strategy by providing financial services surrounding the premier crypto asset. However, he stressed that they will not be diverting to other cryptocurrencies like other firms do, which he accused of losing the forest by chasing trees.

Notably, his prediction of a Bitcoin rally to a $500 trillion valuation captured the attention of crypto community figures, especially considering the fact that the global M2 money supply is still currently below $100 trillion. Also, at a $500 trillion market cap, the price of 1 Bitcoin would balloon to $21.11 million, considering the current circulating supply of 19.91 million.

Interestingly, if Bitcoin ever claimed such a lofty target, the momentum would spill into the broader crypto market, impacting altcoins such as XRP. This is largely due to Bitcoin’s position as the market leader, often dictating the direction of the market, whether positively or negatively.

For instance, over the past week, Bitcoin and XRP have mirrored each other’s price movements besides brief moments of slight deviations, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Bitcoin and XRP Price Correlation CoinMarketCap
Bitcoin and XRP Price Correlation | CoinMarketCap

Possible XRP Price if Bitcoin Hits $500T Market Cap

Considering this close price correlation, a Bitcoin run to $25.11 million would directly boost XRP’s price. Specifically, with BTC currently trading for $107,600 at press time, a rally to $25.11 million would mark a massive 23,236% increase.

Meanwhile, XRP currently trades for $2.73. If XRP sees a comparative 23,236% run from its current price, it would rally to a price of $637. However, XRP has repeatedly shown that it often outperforms Bitcoin during market upswings due to its greater volatility. As a result, its upsurge might be more pronounced.

For instance, when Bitcoin rallied 8% in July on the back of the broader market recovery push, XRP saw a more substantial 35% increase in the same month, outpacing BTC by over 4x. If XRP replicated this but at a smaller rate, such as 2x, its price could skyrocket further to $1,274 in a scenario where BTC hits $25.11 million.

Interestingly, analysts at crypto exchange platform Changelly already believe XRP is capable of reaching this price level. Notably, they predict XRP to claim an average price of $1,343 by October 2040, essentially 15 years from now.
