China’s Top AI DeepSeek Predicts Where Cardano Will Top This Cycle

0

DeekSeek, a top China-owned AI chatbot, has predicted that Cardano could rally to double digits before the end of the bull cycle.

Notably, TapTool, a top trading platform native to the Cardano ecosystem, shared the prediction in a recent tweet. Per the post, DeepSeek projected an optimistic target for ADA during this bull cycle and identified key drivers for the parabolic expansion.

Cardano Going to $10?

DeepSeek revealed that Cardano could trade between $5 and $10 by the end of the present bull cycle. This would culminate in massive gains for holders, especially those who will maximize the recent dip.

For context, Cardano is down 7.9% since the start of the week, currently trading at $0.79. If it reaches the $5-$10 price predicted by DeepSeek, this will represent a 532% to 1,165% upsurge from here.

Meanwhile, DeepSeek’s prediction was not merely speculative; the chatbot highlighted possible drivers for this bullish price shift. First, it identified the fundamental growth of the Cardano ecosystem as a massive propellant.

Notably, the Cardano network has enhanced its scalability with the introduction of Hydra. The scaling protocol surpassed the 1 million transactions per second threshold during testing in the Doom gaming competition, and its integration as a layer 2 has significantly enhanced Cardano’s scaling capabilities.

DeepSeek also highlighted TVL growth, widespread DeFi adoption, the supply chain, and its now fully decentralized governance system as a demonstration of the fundamental development of the Cardano ecosystem.

Basho Phase, Strong Community, and Bull Market Momentum

Furthermore, the AI model noted that Cardano’s realization of its roadmap for scalability and optimization makes it more viable for institutional use cases. DeepSeek termed this the “Basho Phase Focus,” suggesting that the ecosystem’s continued development is a major lure for mainstream adoption.

It also lauded the efforts of the ever-loyal Cardano community, citing this as a bullish indicator. The engaged community and their participation in network activities, such as staking, would improve the security and stability of Cardano.

Additionally, DeepSeek tapped ADA’s historical performance in a bullish market setting to drive further upside. It claimed that a combination of the aforementioned fundamentals and positive sentiments from past performances would drive Cardano to the $5-$10 price target.

Analysts Agree With DeepSeek’s Cardano Price Prediction

Interestingly, the $5 and $10 targets for Cardano are a common expectation among market analysts. For context, Alex Becker predicted that ADA would easily rally to $5 this cycle, with Mr. Banana insisting that those who sell below the $5 target did not fully realize Cardano’s bullish potential.

For the $10 target, Dan Gambardello shares the same outlook. He referred to the target as realistic for this cycle, agreeing to an outlook from the AI-powered Zero platform. Meanwhile, Cardano SPO Ssebi also predicted that Cardano would reach $10 this cycle, citing a similar driver with DeepSeek.

Expert Says This XRP Fall Is Just a Coffee Break

XRP took a major hit overnight, with its price tumbling dangerously close to breaching the $3 mark, sparking widespread concern among stakeholders.

Notably, XRP dipped to $3.02 today, down from over $3.50, marking a massive 13% drop within a 24-hour window. As of press time, XRP shows no signs of recovery and remains just above its intraday low.

Among top-ranking crypto assets, XRP had the worst 24-hour performance after Dogecoin, which dropped by 13.5%. Others, like Ethereum and Solana, saw declines of 4% and 9.7%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin showed minimal volatility, touching a daily low of $117,391 from $119,290 — a modest 1.59% dip.

XRP’s dramatic price fall compared to other coins has sparked concern among investors and market watchers. However, prominent XRP influencers are urging holders not to panic just yet.

“XRP Fall Is a Coffee Break”

Reacting to XRP’s price, John Squire, a pro-XRP social media manager, pointed out the double standards in the crypto community. He noted how what he considers a minor dip in XRP often triggers panic, while a $3,000 drop in Bitcoin is dismissed as a “healthy correction.”

He urged the community to remain calm and hold firm. Squire added that, compared to the brutal 2018 market, the current volatility is nothing more than a brief respite. “This is a coffee break,” he said.

Market participants reacting to the post mostly agreed with his perspective. X user Red Spur remarked that if holders can endure 200 days of passive performance, a one-day dip shouldn’t cause alarm. “Don’t be afraid of retracements,” another user added.

The Comeback Rally to All-Time High?

In a separate post, influencer Alex Cobb boldly claimed that this latest retracement is the pullback that will propel XRP to a new all-time high. He predicted that XRP would trade at $4.20 per coin upon the next rebound.

XRP Can Still See a 400% Pump This Season

Meanwhile, technical analyst XRPunkie offered an even more optimistic outlook for the coin. He highlighted that XRP surged from $1.95 to $3.66 in just 30 days, posting an impressive 92% gain. He emphasized that the recent pullback is a normal and healthy correction within the crypto market.

He encouraged holders to stay calm, let the market stabilize, and remain optimistic. According to the analyst, a much higher price level between $10 and $15 is still well within reach this season. Notably, this would require a growth of between 233% and 400%

Here’s How Not to Sell XRP for a Lambo — and Keep Both

0

A prominent trading expert has explained how investors could purchase a Lamborghini while still retaining their XRP holdings.

The strategy was shared by Cypress Demanincor, CEO of CYPRX Superior Trading, during a recent discussion on X. Notably, a Web3 enthusiast encouraged traders not to buy a Lamborghini just to show off to friends or family. Instead, he suggested seeing it as a symbol of how far someone has come.

How to Buy a Lambo While Retaining Your XRP

However, Demanincor responded with an alternative plan. Specifically, he argued that no one needs to sell their XRP to afford something like a Lamborghini. Instead, he presented a strategy where investors could enjoy luxury without giving up their long-term holdings.

Demanincor explained that once someone builds massive wealth in XRP, enough to be considered a millionaire, they could put that XRP to work. First, he suggested using liquid staking to earn passive income.

Then, by lending out the staked XRP, investors could earn even more. Further, the trader suggested borrowing against the XRP tokens in stablecoins. Now, with the earnings from this activity, they could afford the Lamborghini without touching the original crypto.

Speaking further, Demanincor proposed turning the Lambo into a money-making asset too. Essentially, he suggested tokenizing the car on a real-world asset platform that pays out yield. Through an LLC, the owner could list the vehicle for rentals.

The income from rentals and tokenized yield could cover the borrowed stablecoins, all while the investor still owns both the XRP and the car. In his view, this approach builds wealth in layers, such as earning, borrowing, owning, and multiplying, without ever having to sell the underlying asset.

Possible Risks Involved?

While many supported the idea, some highlighted issues with the strategy. For instance, Michelle Nightengale, a longtime XRP supporter, raised concerns. Notably, she warned that XRP still operates in a young and unpredictable market.

To her, risking XRP for yield right now could lead to major losses. She pointed out that XRP recently jumped over 700% since the U.S. elections last November and said those gains easily outpace any yield from staking or lending.

Nightengale reminded the community of past crypto failures like Celsius and Voyager, where investors chasing yield ended up with nothing. She stressed that XRP’s real value lies in holding it long-term, especially now that it’s finally gaining momentum after years of pressure and legal challenges.

Meanwhile, another XRP proponent, Chris Criner, explained that Demanincor wasn’t talking about doing all of this right now. Instead, this was a forward-looking idea for when XRP matures and DeFi systems grow stronger. Criner said the smartest investors will find ways to grow their income without selling off their long-term positions.

Nightengale later acknowledged the misunderstanding. She said that if Demanincor’s strategy applies to a more developed XRP and DeFi market, then she agrees with it. In fact, she said she looks forward to earning passive income through upcoming tools like Flare Network’s Firelight protocol.

Arkham Debunks Bitcoin Panic, Confirms US Government Still Holds Over 198,000 BTC

0

The U.S. government continues to hold one of the world’s largest Bitcoin stockpiles, according to Arkham Intelligence, which confirmed more than 198,000 BTC remains under federal control.

The clarification comes after a wave of alarm swept through the crypto community following a narrow disclosure from the U.S. Marshals Service.

The confusion began when a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request revealed that the U.S. Marshals Service currently holds around 28,988 BTC, worth $3.44 billion. The figure appeared to confirm fears that the government had sold off the majority of its Bitcoin holdings. But blockchain data tells a different story.

Arkham Tracks the Real Totals

Arkham, which tracks crypto assets across blockchains and wallets, stepped in to verify the actual figures. Its analysis shows that various federal agencies, including the FBI, IRS, DEA, and Department of Justice, hold a combined 198,012 BTC, valued at roughly $23.5 billion.

None of the assets have moved in the past four months, indicating the government remains firmly invested in its digital holdings.

Senator Lummis Reaction

Senator Cynthia Lummis, a staunch advocate for Bitcoin, reacted swiftly to the initial reports. Lummis criticized what she believed was a major “strategic blunder”.

In a post on X, she warned that liquidating most of the government’s Bitcoin would undermine U.S. leadership in the digital asset space. But after Arkham released its findings, her concerns appeared to stem from incomplete data.

Criminal Seizures Fuel Government Bitcoin Stash

Many of these government-held Bitcoin tokens originate from major criminal investigations. In the largest seizure to date, authorities recovered 114,599 BTC, worth over $13 billion, from Ilya Lichtenstein and Heather Morgan, who were charged in connection with the 2016 Bitfinex hack.

Authorities also secured 94,643 BTC from two Silk Road-related operations. This included 51,680 BTC from James Zhong and 69,370 BTC from an individual believed to have hacked the dark web marketplace.

In addition to these headline-making cases, the government seized Bitcoin worth millions of dollars from other investigations. For instance, Alameda Research, a key player in the FTX collapse, gave up more than $81 million in BTC held on Binance to the U.S. government.

Authorities also confiscated $79 million in BTC from Sergei Potapenko and Ivan Turogin. They were the Estonian operators behind the HashFlare mining scam.

Sales Tracked Through Coinbase Prime

Arkham’s data also supports previous reports that the government uses Coinbase Prime as a platform to liquidate portions of its crypto holdings.

In the past two years, the U.S. sold 9,861 BTC in March 2023. This was followed by two separate transactions of 10,000 BTC each in August and December 2024. A smaller sale of 58.7 BTC took place in July 2024, involving funds seized from convicted dark web drug dealer Ryan Farace.

These transactions confirm that the government has been strategically selling off portions of its crypto. However, Arkham maintains that the remaining reserves are still sizable. This is especially true when considering the assets recovered from Bitfinex and Silk Road-related cases alone.

Transparency Remains a Challenge

The confusion over the actual reserve size exposes a larger problem: the lack of centralized reporting. Each federal agency manages its own crypto assets and disclosure policies, making it difficult to get a clear, unified picture of total holdings.

The FOIA request that triggered the uproar came from independent journalist “Lola L33tz”. She has since filed a follow-up inquiry to determine whether Coinbase Prime is formally involved in the management or sale of government-held cryptocurrency assets.

Arkham’s findings may have calmed immediate fears. However, the controversy highlights how fragmented reporting can mislead the public and even lawmakers. Without a centralized database or standard disclosure practices, uncertainty about government-held cryptocurrency is likely to persist.

Over 310M DOGE In 48 Hours: Dogecoin Whales Are Massively Buying the Dip

0

While some panicked over the recent correction, Dogecoin whales are leveraging the dip to acquire the prominent memecoin at a lower price.

Aside from a broader bearish market trend, a recent analysis suggested that the Dogecoin dip is simply a retest of a 146-day ascending channel from which it recently broke out. Dogecoin whales appear to share this sentiment, evident in the massive accumulation.

Dogecoin Whales Swallow Millions in Two Days

Market expert Ali Martinez highlighted this accumulation disposition in the past two days, following DOGE’s ongoing dip. In a tweet, he shared that large Dogecoin whales have swallowed up 310 million DOGE, worth over $73 million at the current market price.

Notably, this buying spree came from one of the largest Dogecoin whale categories, specifically those holding between 100 million and 1 billion DOGE. An accompanying chart highlights a spike in acquisitions from July 17, followed by a consistent accumulation over the past 48 hours.

Dogecoin Whales Accumulation/Ali Martinez
Dogecoin Whale Accumulation/Ali Martinez

These whales now hold 25.42 billion DOGE worth billions of dollars following the recent purchases. Notably, this type of accumulation, especially after a brief profit-taking dip, sparks positive sentiment around a project and usually precedes a price rebound.

Dogecoin Gearing Up for the Next Rally

For context, Dogecoin rallied 84% over the past four weeks before its recent dip. It exhibited bullish momentum, rising from $0.1514 on June 23 to a high of $0.2786 in the previous week before closing at $0.2745.

Martinez identified in a parallel tweet that this correction is Dogecoin retesting the neckline of a double-bottom structure in the 3-day timeframe. The W-shaped pattern started to form when DOGE fell below a crucial support level at $0.2577 in February. The bearish trend persisted until a low of $0.1298 in April.

Meanwhile, Dogecoin retested the support—now a resistance—again with its May rally to $0.2599 but failed to hold. It fell again to June’s low of $0.1430 before resuming the rally to last week’s high. Notably, this time, it finally broke above the resistance with its close at $0.2745.

Now, Martinez noted that Dogecoin was simply retesting the neckline at $0.2577 and could be a good buy opportunity for the next round of bullish uptick. His chart shows that DOGE could target the levels around its December peak price of $0.4846 upon a successful retest.

Dogecoin Double-Bottom Neckline Retest/Ali Martinez

However, DOGE has broken below the neckline at the time of writing, trading at $0.2334. Nonetheless, how the meme coin will react in the coming days, especially as the week nears its conclusion, will determine its next price trajectory.

New Wallet Withdraws 5,000,000,000,000 Shiba Inu From Coinbase

0

In a remarkable development, an unknown crypto investor withdrew 5 trillion Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens from Coinbase Institutional in a single transaction.

Whale Alert called the public’s attention to the transaction, which occurred on July 23, 2025, at 7:24 p.m. (UTC). According to Whale Alert, the dollar value of the 5 trillion Shiba Inu tokens was around $69.98 million.

Transaction Details

On-chain data showed that the funds were transferred from Coinbase Institutional, indicating that the address is associated with the institutional arm of the San Francisco-based exchange. It is worth noting that Coinbase Institutional is a platform where large, vetted clients trade and custody crypto assets, such as Shiba Inu.

The recipient address, “0x42a…Aefe4,” is relatively new and has no on-chain history apart from receiving the 5 trillion SHIB from Coinbase. All 5 trillion SHIB tokens remain in the wallet at press time.

For context, moving cryptocurrencies off an exchange to an on-chain address usually implies that the user does not intend to sell the tokens anytime soon.

This move reduces immediate selling pressures on Shiba Inu and bolsters investors’ confidence. While this transaction could be a bullish signal, it could also cause panic if the 5 trillion SHIB tokens moved back to an exchange.

Not New

Meanwhile, there have been multiple large transfers between unknown wallets and Coinbase Institution’s wallet in recent times. Last month, The Crypto Basic reported that an unknown whale shifted 2.85 trillion SHIB to Coinbase.

Additionally, an anonymous whale also transferred more than 6 trillion Shiba Inu tokens in two separate transactions between June 5 and 6, according to data from Whale Alert.

Shiba Inu Dips 11%, Drops to 20th Position

Meanwhile, the latest transaction coincided with a sharp decline in Shiba Inu’s price, which has dropped 11.02% over the past 24 hours to $0.00001343. Shiba Inu also dropped to the 20th position in the global crypto ranking following the bloodbath.

The drop aligns with a broader market downturn that has also impacted the prices of other leading crypto assets. For context, XRP and Dogecoin have also plunged 11.93% and 11.47%, respectively.

Yesterday, The Crypto Basic reported that the recent correction led to the liquidation of $507 million from the market within 24 hours. At press time, the liquidation recorded in the past day has increased to $781.32 million, with long positions incurring $672.19 million of these losses.

Pundit Says Just 500 XRP Has the Power to Change Lives: Here’s How

0

A prominent market commentator has suggested that holding only 500 XRP tokens could change an investor’s life.

This bold commentary came from Edoardo Farina, a notable XRP permabull and founder of the trading group Alpha Lions Academy. Farina has always insisted that XRP has the potential to lead investors to early retirements, but his latest disclosure indicates he is even more confident now than ever.

Farina: “500 XRP Has the Power to Change Lives”

For context, while Farina had in the past advocated for investors to hold at least 10,000 XRP, arguing that they could lead to financial freedom, this time, he believes a lower investment of just 500 tokens could do the trick. In his latest commentary, Farina admitted that 500 XRP tokens today might seem like a negligible amount.

Edoardo Farina on X
Edoardo Farina on X

For context, with XRP now trading for $3.20, 500 tokens are currently worth $1,560. This is less than the average monthly rent in the United States, according to data from real estate firm Redfin. However, Farina believes this meager amount could actually grow to change investors’ lives.

This is a result of his conviction that XRP could soar to much greater heights in the future. Nonetheless, for 500 XRP, now worth $1,560, to yield “life-changing” returns, XRP would need to surge by a massive margin.

How Could 500 XRP Tokens Change Lives?

For instance, market analyst EGRAG, who has continued to project higher prices for XRP, expects a rally to $27, presenting this as his consistent target. However, at a price of $27, the 500 XRP tokens would be worth $13,500. While this represents impressive gains, it is unlikely to have a life-changing impact on an investor’s life.

Meanwhile, Farina himself has revealed that his target for XRP is an ambitious $100 price. From the current value of $3.20, XRP would need to rise 3,324% to reach the $100 value. Despite the uptrend required, Farina has boldly confirmed that nothing could make him sell his XRP tokens below $100.

Nonetheless, even a $100 price would not make life-changing gains for an investor with 500 XRP tokens. At this price, the investment would be worth $50,000, still below the average annual household expense in the United States, which is estimated at a little above $77,000.

Notably, for 500 XRP to yield life-changing gains for an investor, XRP would need to grow to at least $1,000 per token. In this case, these 500 XRP tokens would be worth $500,000. Interestingly, despite the ambitious nature of such a target, Matthew Brienen, COO of CryptoGuard, predicted earlier this year that XRP could reach $1,000 in five to ten years.

Here’s How XRP Could Reach $10 in 2025, According to Top Angel Investor

Top crypto angel investor Dennis Liu, widely known in the space as VirtualBacon, believes XRP could realistically reach $10 in 2025 but only under specific conditions.

Following a decisive end to the SEC lawsuit and a series of major developments for Ripple, Liu argues this cycle is fundamentally different. He emphasizes that XRP has already surpassed its previous highs. However, unlike in past rallies, this move is driven by real-world momentum and regulatory progress.

Liu also pointed out that Ripple’s settlement with the SEC, which included a $50 million fine, marked the end of a long-standing legal overhang. In addition, he noted that the passage of the GENIUS Act has brought greater legal certainty to the market.

Spot ETF, Ripple IPO, and Banking Ambitions Spark a Bullish Outlook

According to Liu, the odds of U.S. approval for a spot XRP ETF now stand at 95%. Over 11 filings are under review, and XRP futures are already trading on the CME and NYSE. Bloomberg analysts expect approval by October.

Simultaneously, Ripple has applied for a U.S. banking license, and some speculate that the company is preparing for a high-profile IPO. Furthermore, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin positions the firm to compete directly with Circle, especially under evolving U.S. regulations.

Liu believes these developments signal that institutions are finally ready to engage with XRP in a serious way.

Search Volume Surges as XRP Overtakes Bitcoin and Ethereum Online

XRP’s growing visibility is another bullish indicator. According to Liu, XRP recently surpassed Bitcoin in global search interest across both Google and YouTube. Ethereum, by comparison, trails significantly, especially on YouTube, where XRP’s search volume exceeds it by a factor of ten.

He views this as a sign of surging retail curiosity and global awareness, the kind of attention that often precedes explosive market moves.

Liu also mentioned that he deployed an XRP trading bot when the token was around $2.70, setting a range between $1.45 and $6. The strategy is already up 48%, reinforcing his view that this momentum is part of a much larger breakout.

The Case for $10 and Why $20 Is Unlikely This Cycle

Based on historical ratios, Liu projects that XRP could reach $4.50 to $5 by August 2025, particularly if Bitcoin climbs to $140,000.

To hit $10, XRP would need to achieve a BTC ratio of 0.000066, a level last seen during the extreme euphoria of late 2017. While Liu acknowledges this is a stretch, he believes it’s possible if the crypto market enters a full-blown mania phase.

At $10, XRP would command a $592 billion market cap, potentially surpassing Ethereum and regaining 11.8% market dominance.

However, Liu is clear that a $20 target would require XRP to reach 23.6% dominance, something he deems unrealistic in light of competition from Solana, AI tokens, meme coins, real-world assets (RWAs), and stablecoins in the current cycle.

XRP May Be Controversial, But It’s Also One of the Most Watched

Liu cautions against unrealistic hype, including false rumors about a SWIFT partnership. However, he argues that XRP has never been better positioned.

With the SEC case resolved, institutional support rising, and retail sentiment surging, XRP may be headed for one of its strongest market cycles ever.

He concludes that while $10 is possible under euphoric market conditions, a $4.50–$5 target is more grounded. For investors, Liu warns, this may be the cycle not to ignore one of the most divisive and most resilient coins in crypto.

Bitcoin Has Real Value Because It’s Hard to Produce, Says Former UK Minister Rees-Mogg

Former Brexit Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg has warned the Bank of England against undermining confidence in fiat currency, drawing parallels with both Bitcoin and gold.

This came during a recent commentary on his YouTube channel. He stressed that the value of fiat currency ultimately lies in public confidence, an illusion that can easily collapse.

Rees-Mogg was responding to the Bank of England’s plan to redesign UK banknotes with more modern imagery. However, he warned that such changes risk eroding the perceived authority and continuity of the currency.

“The way to preserve value is to create the illusion that it exists,” he said, holding up modern and historic coins to show how design continuity has long served to command trust.

Gold, Paper, and Now Bitcoin

Tracing the history of fiat currency back to 11th-century China and the gold-backed British pound of the pre-WWI era, Rees-Mogg highlighted the instability of paper money and the historical consistency of gold as a store of value.

He noted that from 1660 to 1914, the purchasing power of the pound remained almost exactly the same. Meanwhile, Gold remained a solid store of value and a reliable means of exchange, he said.

By contrast, he argued that paper currencies have “always led to inflation” and ultimately serve as a hidden tax on savers and bondholders.

Rees-Mogg also noted that maintaining the perception of value is crucial for paper currency as it lacks intrinsic worth, just like modern coins made from base metals. In contrast, older coins, such as a silver shilling from the reign of Charles I, retain value due to their metal content.

In this context, Rees-Mogg added that gold, and even Bitcoin, hold real value because of scarcity and they cannot be created at will, unlike fiat money, which governments can print in unlimited quantities, as seen after the 2008 financial crisis.

Believing that paper money has inherent value, Rees-Mogg argues, is a dangerous illusion.

Bitcoin’s Scarcity

While not a full endorsement of cryptocurrency, Rees-Mogg’s remarks suggest an openness to Bitcoin’s fundamental principle: limited supply. Bitcoin operates on a decentralized, transparent protocol with a fixed maximum supply of 21 million coins. It is unlike fiat money, which governments can print in large quantities.

This “hardness” of Bitcoin production is increasingly gaining recognition from traditional financial commentators as a potential hedge against inflation and central bank overreach.

Designs That Undermine Trust

Notably, Rees-Mogg’s broader concern focused on the symbolism and design of currency, which he believes play an important psychological role in maintaining public faith. He argues that removing historical figures in favor of modern imagery weakens the illusion of continuity and undermines trust in fiat.

“When confidence collapses, so does the currency,” he warned, citing the hyperinflation episodes of Weimar Germany and Zimbabwe.

Crypto Community Responds

Rees-Mogg’s comments were widely picked up across crypto-focused social platforms. Many users interpreted them as validation of long-held arguments about Bitcoin’s scarcity and value proposition.

While Rees-Mogg did not call Bitcoin a superior alternative to fiat, he acknowledged its production constraints. His words add another voice from the political mainstream to the ongoing conversation about crypto’s place in the future monetary landscape.

MARA Holdings Plans $850 Million Capital Raise to Buy More Bitcoin

0

U.S. Bitcoin mining giant MARA Holdings has unveiled a comprehensive $850 million financing initiative to expand its BTC reserves, reduce liabilities, and strengthen its balance sheet.

The company, listed on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol MARA, is issuing 0% convertible senior notes maturing in 2032, in a private offering to qualified institutional investors.

The financing round also includes an option to raise an additional $150 million. This could push the total capital raised to $1 billion, according to a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Zero-Interest Convertible Notes with Flexible Options

The proposed notes will carry no coupon, meaning investors will receive no regular interest payments. Instead, holders may convert the notes into cash, MARA common stock, or a combination of both—subject to certain conditions prior to May 1, 2032, and at any time thereafter until maturity. The notes will mature in August 2032.

However, investors will retain the right to request early repurchase in 2030 if certain stock performance conditions are not met.

MARA, in turn, will have the right to redeem the notes starting in 2030 under specific market conditions. This setup provides the company with a flexible and cost-effective way to raise capital, avoiding both immediate dilution and ongoing interest burdens.

Proceeds to Fund Bitcoin Accumulation and Strategic Growth

According to the company, a portion of the proceeds, up to $50 million, will be used to repurchase some of its existing 1% convertible notes maturing in 2026. This move will reduce short-term debt obligations and improve liquidity.

The remaining capital will be directed toward multiple strategic priorities, including increasing its Bitcoin holdings, scaling up mining infrastructure, and supporting general business operations. It will also be used to pursue acquisitions that align with its growth vision.

Additionally, MARA intends to enter into capped call transactions. These are financial hedges designed to reduce potential dilution for existing shareholders if the notes are eventually converted into equity.

This measured approach strengthens the company’s operational base. It also seeks to protect long-term shareholder value amid volatile market dynamics.

Record Bitcoin Holdings and Mining Output

The financing move comes as MARA reports a strong second-quarter performance. The company mined 2,358 BTC in Q2 and now operates 310,000 energized mining rigs.

With 49,951 BTC on its balance sheet, MARA has become the second-largest publicly traded holder of Bitcoin, trailing only Strategy Incorporated (MSTR), which currently holds 607,770 BTC, valued at more than $72 billion.
