Analysts See XRP Reaching $7 to $15, Citing Cycle Blow-off Top and Symmetrical Triangle Breakout

Several analysts expect XRP to claim new price peaks in the foreseeable future, citing a blow-off top in the current cycle and a symmetrical triangle breakout.

These analyses come on the back of the renewed momentum in the crypto market, buoyed by the recent Bitcoin (BTC) recovery above the $100,000 mark. XRP has also jumped on the uptrend, looking to break into the upper end of the $2 price region and leverage this as a launchpad for higher price gains.

XRP in Parabolic Phase

Amid this current push, market analyst Mags, who calls himself “the scalping pro,” believes XRP is on the verge of an impressive run. In his latest commentary, Mags first confirmed that he predicted an XRP rally when the asset was stuck below $0.5. This rally materialized when XRP soared nearly 600% from November 2024 to January 2025.

Now, the analyst says a subsequent upsurge could occur, potentially leading to a $7 price target. Notably, after the November 2024 to January 2025 run, XRP faced a pullback from the $3.3 peak and slipped into a consolidation phase at the $2 mark. This consolidation has persisted since February 2025.

Mags suggests the range-bound movements resemble what XRP faced back in 2017/2018. During this period, the asset rallied from $0.0055 in March 2017 to $0.3988 in what the analyst called a parabolic phase. After this phase, XRP consolidated for six months before soaring further to $3.4, which he referred to as the blow-off top pattern.

XRP Cycle Phases Mags
XRP Cycle Phases | Mags

In his chart, Mags indicated that XRP typically follows four different phases in each cycle: the first bounce, the accumulation phase, and then the parabolic phase and blow-off top.

XRP Eyes $7 as Blow-off Top Target

During this ongoing cycle, the accumulation stage occurred during the bear market from June 2022 to October 2024, as XRP hovered around $0.50. After this, the parabolic phase emerged in November 2024, with XRP soaring to the $3.4 peak by January 2025.

Now, Mags suggests the current consolidation is similar to what the market observed during its six-month consolidation in 2017. Just like in 2017, he expects a breakout that would lead to the blow-off top, targeting an ultimate price of $7.3. This represents an increase of 202% from the current price of $2.41.

A Possible Push to $15

However, while analyst Ali Martinez believes XRP has another leg up, he expects the asset to see a more substantial gain. Martinez cited a breakout from a multi-year symmetrical triangle pattern that formed from January 2018 to November 2024. XRP broke above this pattern when it rallied toward $2 after the U.S. elections in November 2024.

Currently, the asset is witnessing a consolidation after the breakout. According to Martinez, if the symmetrical triangle dynamics are still governing XRP’s current price action, the asset still has room for more growth. He expects a rally to $15, marking a 522% upsurge.

Meanwhile, the analyst behind the Crypto Crew University trading platform is also bullish on XRP. In a recent analysis, he confirmed that XRP might be repeating an RSI explosion it observed in 2017 and 2021. This involves a surge in the monthly RSI above 65.

XRP 1M RSI | Crypto Crew University

According to the analyst, during the previous two instances of this explosion, XRP price saw a substantial upsurge. He believes this bullish push could repeat this time. He stressed that the Stock RSI cross-up could be the early signal that this bullish RSI explosion is about to occur.

Here is Why XRP Could Win the DeFi Race Against Ethereum and Solana

0

A famous XRP community member suggests that XRP Ledger is capable of outpacing Ethereum and Solana in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector.

In a lengthy thread on X, All Things XRP detailed why XRP could potentially win the DeFi race against Ethereum and Solana.

For context, Ethereum and Solana have long been the top blockchains for decentralized finance, and many DeFi protocols have launched on both networks.

Why XRP Could Outpace Ethereum and Solana in DeFi

However, All Things XRP suggested that this might soon change due to both networks’ inherent problems. In particular, the community figure noted that Ethereum is too expensive, as transactions cost around $20 to $70.

On the other hand, the XRP proponent noted that while Solana is fast and cheap, it has been plagued by network outages and centralization fears over the years.

DeFi’s Dark Horse

Interestingly, the X thread referred to XRPL as ‘DeFi’s next dark horse,’ emphasizing that the network is entering the sector with real momentum. The community figure mentioned some capabilities associated with XRPL, particularly its ability to settle transactions within seconds at a negligible fee.

Hooks Functionality

Further, “All Things XRP” indicated that the upcoming XRPL Hooks–designed to introduce smart contract capabilities–would also enhance the network’s DeFi performance.  They noted that, unlike traditional smart contracts, XRPL Hooks aim to offer lightweight programmable transactions.

Per the thread, some of Hooks’ benefits include simplicity and efficiency, which All Things XRP believes are suitable for DeFi operations. The community figure believes the upcoming XRPL Hooks would enable users to run decentralized lending and automated payments and yield farming faster and cheaper on the network.

Real-World Traction

Even without Hooks, XRPL is already gaining real-world traction. For example, CryptoTradingFund has successfully processed $2.23 million in transactions during its beta phase. Notably, major e-commerce companies like Amazon and Walmart are reportedly among its vendors.

Institutional Power

Moreover, the post notes that XRPL has strong institutional backing and is heavily backed by banks. It also suggests that initiatives like RLUSD stablecoin and upcoming XRP ETFs would help to bridge the realms of decentralized and traditional finance.

XRPL’s Favorable Regulation

In addition, the expert indicated that XRPL’s native token, XRP, has received favorable regulatory treatment in the UAE and EU compared to Ethereum. The community figure believes this regulatory edge boosts XRPL’s DeFi prospects globally.

Speed and Reliability are Everything

The expert dismissed claims that XRPL is less decentralized than Ethereum and Solana, stating that its consensus model offers the speed and reliability essential to DeFi users.

Finally, All Things XRP concluded that XRPL can win the DeFi race by dominating niches where transaction speed and cost are critical, rather than by trying to replicate Ethereum or Solana.

Bitcoin Price Eyes $112K Amid ETF Inflows and MetaPlanet’s 1,241 BTC Purchase

Bitcoin surges past $105K as MetaPlanet buys 1,241 BTC. The US-China trade deal and ETF inflows could push BTC to $112K soon.

Bitcoin, at $105,623, surged nearly 1.5% today. The bullish trend marks a positive start to the week, as MetaPlanet added more Bitcoin, fueling the rally.

The recent trade deal between the US and China in Geneva serves as a sentimental boost. Amid such conditions, will the Bitcoin price reach the $112K mark? Let’s find out.

Bitcoin Price Analysis

On the 4-hour price chart, Bitcoin’s uptrend signals a bullish breakout from an expanding wedge. The surge has created a 24-hour high of $105,706 while forming a short-term parallel channel.

Bitcoin Price Chart
Bitcoin Price Chart

The current 1.45% surge in Bitcoin over the past four hours has created a bullish engulfing candle. Furthermore, it has formed a morning star pattern within the short-term parallel channel, signaling a breakout rally.

For a conclusive breakout, Bitcoin must sustain a closing price above the overhead trendline. However, the rising BTC price has yet to be accompanied by a surge in bullish momentum in the Relative Strength Index (RSI), warning of a bearish divergence and hinting at a potential minor correction.

This scenario suggests a possible retest of the previously broken overhead trendline of the expanding wedge. If BTC manages a decisive breakout from the short-term channel, the uptrend will likely reach the immediate R1 pivot resistance near $108,284. This would increase the probability of BTC reaching the R2 pivot resistance near $112,439.

On the flip side, crucial support lies at the central pivot level near $100,900.

Bitcoin ETF Flows Signal Rising Institutional Strength

Supporting the bullish trend, U.S. spot BTC ETFs have recorded three consecutive weeks of inflows. According to SoSoValue data, over the past three weeks, the weekly net inflow has exceeded $3.5 billion.

On May 9, the daily total net inflow stood at $321.46 million, with BlackRock accounting for an inflow of $356.20 million.

Following a prolonged tariff war between the U.S. and China, both countries mutually agreed to a trade deal in Geneva. As the dialogue progresses, more details are expected today. Meanwhile, the development has already significantly boosted sentiment in both global and crypto markets.

Amid these conditions, MetaPlanet recently acquired 1,241 BTC for $125.3 million. With this purchase, MetaPlanet’s Bitcoin holdings have now surpassed those of El Salvador. Currently, MetaPlanet holds 6,796 BTC worth $700 million, with an average purchase price of $90,243.

Ethereum Price Exceeds $2,600, On-Chain Data Signals a Surge Toward $3,000

Ethereum has surged above $2,600, with 69 million ETH turning profitable as bulls eye the $3,000 mark amid rising inflows.

With an intraday gain of 3.36%, Ethereum has surpassed the $2,600 level. Starting the week strong, ETH continues its bullish momentum as Bitcoin holds above the $105K mark.

Boosting broader market sentiment, the US-China trade deal has fueled an extended rally this week. Amid these conditions, will Ethereum manage to reach the $3,000 milestone?

Ethereum Price Analysis: Eyes Set on $3,000

Ethereum has risen to the $2,600 level with an intraday surge of nearly 3.5%. The ongoing rally has produced four consecutive bullish candles over the past five days, contributing to a nearly 45% price increase.

Ethereum Price Chart
Ethereum Price Chart

This recent rally follows a breakout from a falling channel and a key supply zone near $1,850. Additionally, the uptrend has broken through the 38.20% Fibonacci level and crossed the 200-day EMA, near the critical $2,400 psychological level.

Ethereum now aims to test the 50% Fibonacci level near $2,700. The sudden spike in buying pressure has driven the Money Flow Index to 83. As inflows increase, the uptrend is likely to clear overhead resistance levels. Furthermore, bullish alignment of the 50-day and 100-day EMAs hints at a potential positive crossover.

A breakout above the 50% Fibonacci level could significantly increase the chances of Ethereum testing the $3,000 psychological mark this week. On the downside, crucial support lies at the 100-day EMA near $2,145, just below the 38.20% Fibonacci level at $2,400.

On-Chain Data: 69M ETH Turns Profitable

With Ethereum trading near the $2,600 mark, data from IntoTheBlock shows that 10 million investors have become profitable. These investors hold a combined volume of 69 million ETH, acquired at an average price of $2,259 and a maximum of $2,423.

Ethereum’s ongoing recovery is set to challenge a key resistance zone, where 8.09 million investors hold approximately 8 million ETH at an average cost of $2,740. If Ethereum breaks through this zone, a smooth climb to $3,000 seems likely.

PEPE Price Surges 90%: Is $0.000020 Next as Open Interest High Record High?

PEPE price has hit $0.000015 with strong bullish momentum. Traders are now eyeing $0.000021, as derivative data shows record-long positions.

With the total crypto market cap rising to $3.3 trillion, the meme coin sector has surged by nearly 8%, reaching $76 billion. Among the top-performing meme coins, PEPE has gained over 80% in the past seven days.

Currently, the meme coin is nearing a breakout at the psychological resistance level of $0.000015. If the uptrend continues, technical indicators support the possibility of PEPE surpassing the $0.000020 milestone.

Pepe Price Analysis

With an intraday surge of nearly 10%, Pepe is trading at the $0.000015 mark. As the trend continues, starting with a morning star pattern on May 7, the meme coin has increased by nearly 90%.

Pepe Price Chart
Pepe Price Chart

The sudden boost in bullish momentum comes amid the broader market recovery. Furthermore, on the daily chart, the recovery in Pepe has marked a bullish breakout of a symmetrical triangle pattern. This is confirmed by the 35% surge on May 8, surpassing the long-standing resistance trendline.

Additionally, the meme coin surpassed the 200-day EMA line near the $0.000010 psychological mark. At present, the meme coin rally has overcome the 67.80% Fibonacci level at $0.00001426.

As Pepe continues to form strong bullish candles, the rising influence teases a potential bullish crossover in the 50 and 100 EMA lines. Additionally, the MACD and signal lines maintain a positive trend after the recent crossover. Hence, the technical indicators support the chances of Pepe maintaining a bullish trend this week.

With the breakout of the 61.80% Fibonacci level, the 78.60% level at $0.00001870 is the immediate price target, hinting at a 25% upside potential. Additionally, based on the triangle breakout, Pepe could reach $0.00002162.

Hence, the technical analysis supports the possibility of Pepe surpassing the $0.000020 psychological mark. Conversely, a potential pullback will likely reach the 50% Fibonacci level at $0.00001178.

Derivative Data Supports Bullish Trend as Open Interest Hits Record High

As the bull run in Pepe continues, Binance traders are extremely optimistic about the meme coin. At present, CoinGlass data shows 66% of Binance traders holding a long position, pumping the long-to-short ratio based on accounts to 2.01.

Additionally, the increased trading activity is highlighted by a 24.51% surge in open interest in Pepe’s open interest, reaching $672.64 million. This marks a new all-time high in Pepe’s open interest, while the short liquidation over the past 24 hours reached $3.25 million.

Market Veteran Expects XRP to Attack ATH Soon After 50% Upsurge From $1.75

0

Market veteran Michaël van de Poppe believes XRP is now on the verge of attacking its all-time highs after his initial entry point resulted in a 50% uptick.

XRP has posted a steady 10% gain over the past week, rising from around $2.09 on May 6 to above $2.4 by May 12, 2025.

Amid this uptrend, some analysts tracking higher timeframe trends suggest XRP has exited its previous consolidation range, entering a fresh bullish phase.

Chart Structure Points to Continued Strength

Recent chart insights from analyst Michaël van de Poppe emphasize the relevance of higher timeframe zones. Notably, he identified a key accumulation block between $1.5764 and $1.8185.

This level was identified after XRP’s rally from under $0.50 in November 2024 to just below $3.50 in early 2025. After that rally, XRP corrected into a structure characterized by lower highs and higher lows, indicating a coiled momentum within a triangular formation.

XRP 3D Chart Michael van de Poppe
XRP 3D Chart Michael | van de Poppe

Interestingly, van de Poppe marked the $1.75 level as a prime entry point, and since then, XRP has gained approximately 50%. Price action has since moved decisively above this range, confirming its strength as a base.

Importantly, XRP now trades 41.67% below its previous all-time high of $3.40, positioning the asset close to potential breakout territory. Analyst van de Poppe stated that, based on current momentum, he assumes XRP will soon challenge this previous all-time high.

Meanwhile, another analyst, Egrag Crypto, has identified $1.83 as a level XRP should not close below, while a pseudonymous analyst, XForceGlobal, maintains a bullish outlook as long as the price remains above the $1.60 low from April 7.

Whale Accumulation Underscores Confidence

Alongside technical developments, on-chain data indicates increasing confidence from high-value investors. From early April through May 8, whale wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million XRP accumulated over 880 million XRP. Their combined holdings grew from around 6.9 billion XRP to roughly 7.7 billion XRP during this period.

Image

This inflow occurred while XRP consolidated, suggesting accumulation took place during relative price stability.

Whales Already Betting on XRP

It is also crucial to mention that a large-scale investor recently shifted focus to XRP by opening a long, $12 million leveraged position, according to Lookonchain data.

After securing more than $10 million in unrealized gains from Ethereum’s early May rally, the whale’s XRP trade, placed shortly before May 12, had already generated over $260,000 in paper profits.

Analyst Targets $1.25 for Dogecoin, Cites Major Strength After Forming Higher Low

0

A Dogecoin analysis by market watcher Javon Marks suggests a potential rise to $0.6533 and possibly $1.25 in the coming weeks.

Dogecoin (DOGE) has recorded a sharp price increase in recent days, rising nearly 40% within one week from the $0.16 level to a local high above $0.25. While this rally highlights renewed momentum in the meme coin sector, some market analysts are focusing more on the technical structure that has emerged since late 2023.

The price movement from May 7 onward has shown sustained buying activity with minimal retracement, suggesting continued investor interest.

However, more significant is the shift in Dogecoin’s long-term price formation, which points to a possible macro reversal in progress.

Long-Term Reversal Pattern Could Take DOGE Above $1

For instance, a detailed DOGE/USDT analysis by Javon Marks highlighted Dogecoin’s breakout above a multi-year descending resistance that ensued after the coin peaked near $0.70. Notably, this breakout, which occurred in late 2023, marked the end of a prolonged series of lower highs and lower lows.

Since then, Dogecoin has displayed a consistent pattern of higher highs and higher lows, a key indicator of strengthening bullish momentum. The most recent retracement found support around the $0.16 area, forming a new higher low and reinforcing the emerging bullish structure.

Following this development, Marks projects a potential high at $0.6533, representing a 162% increase from current price levels. Marks is also monitoring for a decisive breakout through this resistance, which could open the path toward additional gains, potentially extending beyond the coveted $1 level and surging toward $1.25.

Image

Ascending Support Line Reinforces Broader Bullish Trend

In a separate DOGE/USDT chart analysis, analyst Ali Martinez identified a long-term ascending support trendline. This line has remained intact for over seven months, beginning in October 2023 and extending through May 2025.

It has served as a foundation for the broader bullish pattern. Most recently, the price action tested this support in April 2025 and rebounded, maintaining the asset’s upward trajectory and confirming the trendline’s significance.

Currently, Dogecoin has moved past the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement level and is approaching a near-term technical target of $0.27, which sits just above the 0.5 Fibonacci mark.

Image

Open Interest and Whale Accumulation

Further, as of May 11, futures market data from Binance shows that 75% of Dogecoin positions are long, with only 24.99% short, resulting in a long/short ratio of 3.0.

Image

This metric indicates that for every trader expecting a price drop, three anticipate a continued rise. While this demonstrates high levels of bullish sentiment, it also introduces potential volatility, especially if the market moves counter to the dominant positioning.

In addition to futures positioning, on-chain data highlights increased whale activity. Large holders have accumulated over 600 million DOGE during this period, adding further weight to the trend of heightened interest.

Pundit Says Buying XRP Under $5 is Like Buying Bitcoin at Its Lowest Earlier Point

An XRP community commentator has suggested that investors buying XRP at the current price is similar to procuring Bitcoin during its early days.

Notably, this commentary comes when XRP is witnessing range-bound movements amid a general market lull. Interestingly, Bitcoin (BTC) recently staged a recovery effort, surpassing $97,000 for the first time in nearly two months. However, XRP’s price action failed to reflect this rebound, triggering fresh concerns among investors.

Community commentators like the one who calls himself “Time Traveler” look to discourage such concerns, pointing to XRP’s potential for massive growth. In his latest commentary, “Time Traveler” compared XRP’s current position to Bitcoin’s early days despite the former already being over a decade old.

Buying XRP Now is Like Buying Bitcoin in Its Early Days

The analyst acknowledged that some XRP holders do not expect their modest balances to amount to much in the future. This is particularly natural, as modest holdings such as 1,000 to 10,000 XRP might not yield life-changing gains even if XRP claims two-figure targets like the $27 goal.

However, “Time Traveler” believes XRP has the potential to reach price targets that could transform these modest balances into fortunes. The analyst cited Bitcoin’s historical performance in his commentary.

He pointed out that Bitcoin had a historic low of $0.05 in July 2010. At this price level, if an investor had committed a meager $0.01 (1 penny) to Bitcoin, he would have amassed 0.2 BTC. However, with Bitcoin trading for $94,042 at the time of the analysis, this 0.2 BTC would be worth $18,808, a massive ROI of 188,079,900%.

Moreover, if an early adopter had invested more into Bitcoin at the time, say just $50, he would have procured 1,000 BTC tokens. At the price of $94,042, these 1,000 tokens would appreciate to around $94 million, transforming a modest investment into a fortune.

Drawing on Bitcoin’s impressive ROI over the past decade and a half, “Time Traveler” suggested that XRP could follow a similar pattern. According to him, procuring XRP below the ambitious $100 mark or even $5 would be like buying Bitcoin when it traded at its historic lows.

Optimism Around XRP’s Future

This daring comparison comes on the heels of growing optimism that XRP could see substantial gains in the future. For instance, several market analysts have insisted that XRP has the potential to hit $100. Alpha Lions Academy’s Edoardo Farina even suggested in March that XRP ought to be trading above $100 under normal circumstances.

Most recently, community figure BarriC noted that he bought XRP at lower prices to cash out at lofty targets of $100 and $1,000, not to be shaken out at $2. Meanwhile, analysts at crypto platform Changelly see XRP reaching $100 between 2034 and 2040, and $1,000 by July 2040.

Hoskinson Says Integrating Cardano with XRP and Bitcoin Will Quadruple Its TVL Beyond Ethereum and Solana Combined

0

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson shares his vision to foster mutually beneficial synergies with the Bitcoin and XRP Ledger ecosystems.

During a recent conversation with Sam North, a market analyst at eToro, the Cardano founder revealed how he intends to solve some ‘big problems’ in the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Bitcoin (BTC) ecosystems.

He noted that while Ripple has a large ecosystem with sufficient funds, the XRP Ledger, which powers most of the company’s technological solutions, still has some limitations revolving around smart contract functionality.

The Cardano founder noted that these limitations have hindered developers from doing much on XRPL. However, he suggested that a computation layer could be grafted onto the XRP Ledger. This could allow real-world assets (RWAs) and banking relationships to enter the XRPL ecosystem.

Once this is done, the Cardano founder expects XRPL to have a smart contract layer.

XRP and Bitcoin to Quadruple Cardano TVL Beyond Solana and Ethereum Combined

Hoskinson speculated that Cardano’s growth over the next five years would come from XRP and Bitcoin. He noted that this outlook is achievable when the team behind Cardano does things for Bitcoin and XRP, like integrating both assets into Cardano’s privacy blockchain, Midnight.

In his view, the assistance rendered to the Bitcoin and XRPL projects would also benefit Cardano. In particular, he asserted that this support could significantly boost the total value locked on Cardano, potentially quadrupling the combined TVL of Solana and Ethereum.

For context, while Ethereum and Solana have a combined TVL of around $72 billion, Cardano’s TVL is currently at $393 million, according to data from DeFiLlama.

In parallel, for Cardano’s TVL to be four times larger than Ethereum and Solana combined, its current TVL must increase by 73,182% to $288 billion.

Despite the monumental surge required for Cardano to quadruple Ethereum and Solana’s combined TVL, Hoskinson remains confident that it is achievable through win-win synergies with the XRP and Bitcoin ecosystems.

Hoskinson’s Support for XRP

Since Hoskinson ended his multi-year dispute with the XRP community, he has hinted at new partnerships between the Cardano and Ripple teams. While he has had discussions with Ripple execs like David Schwartz and Brad Garlinghouse, there has been no official partnership announcement yet.

Nonetheless, Hoskinson has continued to support XRP. This includes adding XRP support to Cardano’s native Lace wallet. Moreover, he disclosed that XRP holders will participate in the upcoming airdrop for Midnight tokens–NIGHT and DUST.

In the meantime, Hoskinson has expressed interest in having Ripple expand the support of its RLUSD stablecoin to Cardano.

Researcher Shares ‘Proof’ from Ripple Codebase ‘Linking’ XRP to ISO 20022

XRP community researcher “SMQKE” has uncovered what they describe as direct evidence from Ripple’s and R3 Corda’s codebases, confirming XRP’s compatibility with ISO 20022.

The post also emphasized XRP’s potential to integrate seamlessly with the SWIFT network.

Notably, in the screenshot from RippleNet’s JSON schema, the term “ISO20022 ExternalClearingSystemIdentificationCode List” is explicitly referenced under the “externalClearingSystem” definition.

SMQKE interpreted this as confirmation that Ripple’s architecture aligns with ISO 20022 standards, the global messaging format that governs financial data exchange across SWIFT and other major payment systems.

The prevailing view is that by structuring its schema around ISO 20022 identifiers, Ripple sets XRP up for regulatory and technical compatibility with banks and financial institutions already transitioning to this new messaging standard.

Significantly, Ripple is among the first crypto firms to claim alignment with ISO 20022. XRP proponents often use this connection to suggest that XRP itself is part of the standard. However, this view is widely debated.

Despite counterstatements from Ripple’s CTO, David Schwartz, the debate has not subsided, and proponents like SMQKE continue to advance this narrative.

XRP and SWIFT Services Imported in R3 Corda Code

Meanwhile, SMQKE’s post also included a second image from R3 Corda’s codebase, revealing imports for both XRP and SWIFT services within the same module. Lines of code clearly show imports for:

  • XrpPayment
  • XrpSettlement
  • SWIFTService
  • SWIFTPaymentStatusType

According to SMQKE, this integration suggests that XRP and SWIFT-based operations can coexist within the same enterprise blockchain infrastructure. However, some in the XRP community disagree. They stress that XRP aims to replace legacy systems like SWIFT rather than coexist with them.

In the tweet, SMQKE emphasized that this supposed technical alignment enables Ripple and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to host seamless settlement capabilities for SWIFT-enabled institutions, potentially leading to broader institutional adoption.

Clarifications about the XRP Appearance in the Codebases

While speculation around XRP’s ISO 20022 readiness and its use in R3 Corda for settlement has circulated for years, proponents frequently point to these direct code references as concrete proof.

However, critics note that these codes stem from an initial proof of concept involving XRP. The full integration never materialized and even led to legal complications between R3 Corda and Ripple.

The persistence of this debate, despite clarifications, shows the enthusiasm within parts of the XRP community to promote a promising future for the asset. Still, even some community members have grown indifferent, arguing that ISO 20022 compliance—assuming it even exists—is not particularly extraordinary or meaningful.
