Pepe Eyes $0.000015 Amid Potential Falling Channel Breakout

Pepe meme coin approaches resistance after a 15% surge, showing bullish MACD and RSI signals. Can it break out to hit the $0.000015 level?

With a sudden shift in the crypto market sentiment, meme coins are gradually gaining momentum. Leading the meme coin rally, Pepe has emerged as one of the top-performing tokens, surging 15% on Wednesday.

This surge has heightened bullish expectations of a falling channel breakout rally. As the crypto market turns bullish, will Pepe trigger a breakout rally to reach the $0.000015 mark?

Pepe Price Analysis

On the daily chart, Pepe’s price action reveals a clear resistance trendline that has formed a falling channel pattern. Within this pattern, Pepe’s price dropped from a peak of $0.000026 to a low of $0.0000052.

After a period of sideways consolidation, the price of Pepe is now approaching the overhead resistance trendline, signaling the potential for a bullish reversal. With the broader market recovering, the chances of a breakout rally have significantly improved.

Additionally, technical indicators are supporting the likelihood of a breakout. The MACD and signal lines are on the verge of a positive crossover. Moreover, the daily RSI line is showing signs of a bullish divergence.

Large Holders Netflow Remains Negative

Despite the positive technical signals, the overall sentiment surrounding Pepe within the falling channel pattern remains largely bearish. According to IntoTheBlock, the large holders’ netflow remains negative.

Over the past 7 days, the large holders’ netflow has decreased by -309%, with the 30-day change standing at -170%. On April 9, the daily netflow stood at -727.46 billion Pepe tokens.

Pepe Price Targets

Due to the prevailing bearish sentiment, the large holders’ netflow remains negative. However, with the possibility of a breakout rally, we may see increased confidence among large Pepe holders.

Based on Fibonacci levels, the channel breakout rally will likely target the 50% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.00001584. For this extended rally to unfold, Pepe must first surpass the $0.000010 psychological resistance. On the flip side, crucial support remains at the $0.0000050 psychological level.

Is $92K in Sight for Bitcoin as Trump Pauses Global Tariffs

The crypto market surged after Trump paused global tariffs, pushing Bitcoin above $82k. With rising open interest and strong on-chain signals, BTC is now eyeing $92k.

Bitcoin has surged 8.33% to reach a 24-hour high of $83,565. BTC is trading above $82,120, again testing local resistance levels. Could this lead to a breakout to the $92,000 mark?

Bitcoin Price Analysis

On the daily chart, Bitcoin’s price trend shows sustained bullish momentum at the 50% Fibonacci level around $75,500.

With a sudden pause in Donald Trump’s tariff war, Bitcoin surged past $80,000. The recovery exceeded the 61.80% Fibonacci level at $81,855.

The completed bullish engulfing candle, showing nearly a 9% surge, undermines Sunday’s roughly 6% drop. Currently, the intraday candle reveals a price rejection as BTC trades near $82,000.

Bitcoin Price Chart
Bitcoin Price Chart

With residual bullish momentum, Bitcoin struggles to break through the overhead resistance. However, the potential for further bullish momentum remains strong as it holds above the 61.80% Fibonacci retracement.

The daily RSI, which has returned to the halfway mark, supports this recovery and signals the loss of bearish pressure.

Based on Fibonacci levels, a breakout above the trendline will likely challenge the 78.60% retracement level at $91,780. Conversely, a bearish reversal could return the price to retest the 50% Fibonacci level near $75,500.

Outflows Decline in Bitcoin ETFs Amid Market Recovery

Following a $326 million outflow on April 8, U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs experienced a slight outflow decline. On April 9, the total daily net outflow stood at $127.12 million.

Four of the 12 ETFs recorded net outflows, while Bitwise was the sole ETF to register an inflow of $6.71 million on April 9. Among the outflowing ETFs, BlackRock and Grayscale reported outflows of $89.71 million and $33.80 million, respectively. WisdomTree and VanEck recorded outflows of less than $6 million each.

Bulls Take Over Bitcoin Derivatives

Amid the renewed bullish sentiment in crypto and global markets, interest in Bitcoin derivatives has significantly increased. This is highlighted by a 5% rise in Bitcoin open interest, which has climbed to $54.69 billion.

Over the past 4 hours, long positions have risen from 48.26% to 52.61%, pushing the long/short ratio from 0.9327 to 1.1101. This increased bullish confidence among crypto traders could further fuel Bitcoin’s price rise, especially if leveraged long positions continue to build.

Analyst Spots Bullish Potential to $208k

Amid increasing bullish sentiment, crypto analyst Ali Martinez has highlighted the potential for an extended Bitcoin bull run. According to a recent tweet, BTC has broken out of a parallel channel pattern, surpassing $80,700.

The analyst forecasts a potential upswing to $84,000, followed by an optimistic target of $87,000. However, Bitcoin must first break above the recently established resistance-turned-support level of $80,700 to kickstart this bull run.

Image

In the long term, Martinez uses the Mayer Multiple Indicator to project a possible market top near $208,557 if Bitcoin breaks above the 200-day EMA at $86,900. On the other hand, the oscillator line suggests crucial support at $69,500.

Conclusion

As Bitcoin crosses above the $82,000 mark, the bulls are eyeing major breakout events. With growing bullish sentiment in the derivatives market, a breakout rally seems inevitable.

Furthermore, with the recent 90-day pause in global tariff wars, Bitcoin could be on track to reclaim the $100,000 mark. Optimistically, the bull market cycle could peak at $200,000, according to the Mayer Multiple Indicator.

Top Shiba Inu Developer Reveals Reason for SHI Stablecoin Launch Delay

0

Kaal Dhairya, a Shiba Inu top developer, reveals the reason behind the delayed launch of the ecosystem’s cent-pegged SHI stablecoin.

The broader Shiba Inu community has been anticipating the launch of SHI, an algorithmic stablecoin for the SHIB ecosystem.

Reason Behind Shiba Inu SHI Stablecoin Launch Delay

Recall that in 2021, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team announced plans to expand its ecosystem by releasing new projects like SHI stablecoin, a collectible card game (CCG), and a reward token.

Four years later, the team has kept its word by launching the CCG (Shiba Eternity) and the ecosystem reward token–TREAT. However, it has not launched the highly anticipated SHI stablecoin, which was initially scheduled for a 2022 release.

Since then, the team has provided limited updates about the SHI stablecoin launch. As a result, community members are questioning the rationale behind the delay.

Addressing this inquiry, Dhairya disclosed that the team is waiting on clear stablecoin regulations before advancing the SHI project. This indicates that the Shiba Inu ecosystem team could launch SHI with clear regulations for stablecoins.

US Close to Establishing Stablecoin Regulations

Interestingly, the United States is close to welcoming a comprehensive regulation for dollar-pegged stablecoins. Two similar stablecoin regulations have made progress in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives with bipartisan support. The GENIUS and STABLE bills aim to provide much-needed regulation for dollar-pegged stablecoins at the federal level.

While the Senate Banking Committee approved the GENIUS Act with an 18-6 vote, the House Financial Services Committee passed the STABLE bill by 32-17. At the moment, the GENIUS and STABLE bills await decisions from the full Senate and House chambers.

Upon passage, the lawmakers merge both bills before sending them to the U.S. president for signature. President Donald Trump is expected to sign the regulation into law, as he has been a major advocate of dollar-pegged stablecoins.

In his view, stablecoins have the potential to strengthen the U.S. dollar and also boost its global dominance. Meanwhile, the U.S. SEC recently declared that most stablecoins are not securities. Hence, they do not fall under the regulatory purview of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

SHI’s Potential Launch

Amid these regulatory efforts, Shiba Inu’s ecosystem team would only advance the SHI project once the U.S. establishes precise stablecoin regulation.

For context, SHI is an algorithmic stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar at $0.01 per token. As of last year, Shiba Inu’s top marketer, Lucie, disclosed that the team had not established a mechanism to maintain SHI’s $0.01 peg.

While there is no launch date for SHI, the stablecoin has undergone intensive testing to ensure that it does not suffer a similar fate as other failed algorithmic stablecoin projects, including Terra’s UST.

Leading Global Asset Manager Says Dogecoin Is Not Just a Meme, “It Is a Movement”

0

21Shares, a notable global asset manager, endorsed Dogecoin, highlighting its transcendence beyond its meme coin origin.

The internet joke-themed asset has gained mainstream adoption despite its emergence as a mere meme token. In a Thursday tweet, 21Shares highlighted this and the many achievements tied to Dogecoin.

Dogecoin, a Meme That Made It

The Swiss-headquartered asset manager suggested that Dogecoin has transcended its meme coin origin to become one of the prominent cryptocurrencies in the industry. It branded DOGE a movement, as the token continues to blaze the trail for other meme coins.

Furthermore, 21Shares stressed Dogecoin’s performance since its debut as a clear indication of its emergence to global relevance.

For context, it noted that DOGE has surged a staggering 130,000% over the last decade, translating to a 127% annualized appreciation. This impressive feat has solidified the meme coin’s place as the best-performing asset among the top 25 cryptocurrencies by market cap.

Meanwhile, the crypto ETF issuer also underscored Dogecoin’s rapidly growing ecosystem, which has seen wallet addresses surge from 44 million to 84 million in the past four years.

With increasing retail and institutional adoption and its use case as a fast, low-cost transactional asset, 21Shares stressed that the prominent meme coin has entered another chapter of its exciting story.

21Shares Files S-1 Form for Dogecoin ETF

Remarkably, the comments followed the asset manager’s recent S-1 filing for a 21Shares Dogecoin ETF with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It registered the commodity-based fund and was looking to provide alternative exposure to Dogecoin with the regulator yesterday.

The submission comes on the heels of a partnership with the House of Doge, the official corporate arm of the Dogecoin Foundation. The collaboration seeks to expand DOGE’s access to the traditional financial system.

Furthermore, 21Shares launched the first Dogecoin exchange-traded product fully backed by the Dogecoin Foundation. The product will back the exchange-traded product 1:1 with physically held DOGE and charge a management fee of 0.25%.

Pundit Analyzes How Largest Stablecoin Issuer Tether Influences Bitcoin Price

0

A recent analysis has raised a critical question about how Tether, the largest stablecoin issuer, quietly influences Bitcoin’s price.

With over $140 billion in circulation, Tether comes under scrutiny for its potential role in Bitcoin price fluctuations. Tether claims to be 1:1 backed by USD reserves but has never undergone a full audit, relying instead on periodic attestations. This has continued to trigger concerns among industry observers.

Correlation Between Tether’s Issuance and Bitcoin Price

Crypto community commentator “All Things XRP” recently pointed out a striking pattern between Tether’s supply and Bitcoin’s price movements.

Tether’s issuance often precedes significant Bitcoin price increases. For example, the commentator claimed that when Tether’s supply grew from $66 billion to $91 billion, Bitcoin’s price surged by 61%.

This correlation, observed over several years, raises the question: Is Bitcoin’s price influenced by Tether’s increasing supply?

Furthermore, the commentator cited a 2019 study by Griffin & Shams that examined blockchain data and concluded that Tether issuance directly correlated with Bitcoin’s recovery following price dips. The study also noted that this issuance was linked to just one entity and that Tether’s reserves were missing at the time.

Meanwhile, Tether dismissed the study as unfounded, calling it a “house of cards.” Despite this, All Things XRP believes it could indicate price manipulation rather than natural market behavior.

Tether’s Alleged Lack of Transparency

While Tether remains a cornerstone of crypto liquidity, critics argue that the stablecoin’s lack of full transparency creates significant risks for the broader crypto market.

Notably, in 2023, a class action lawsuit accusing Tether of manipulation was dismissed due to insufficient evidence. However, the company has allegedly paid over $60 million in fines for misleading claims about its reserves.

Meanwhile, the growth of Tether’s supply continues, adding fuel to the ongoing debate. All Things XRP highlighted that Tether’s influence over crypto liquidity remains undeniable despite the lack of a full audit.

The pundit claimed that if regulators were to pull the plug on Tether or question its reserves, the liquidity and price of Bitcoin could face severe consequences.

Tether Under Continued Scrutiny

Tether’s operations remain under constant scrutiny, especially as its market cap expands. In addition to concerns raised by All Things XRP, recent reports have surfaced suggesting that the U.S. Department of Justice may investigate Tether for potential involvement in money laundering and fraudulent activities.

Meanwhile, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino dismissed these reports as outdated and unfounded. Yet, the allegations have added to the mounting pressure on the stablecoin issuer.

Donald Trump’s Tariff Drama Good for Bitcoin: Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan Explains Why

0

Despite sideways market reactions, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan has suggested that the tariff drama would have short and long-term bullish implications for Bitcoin.

Positive developments emerged from the tariff war front yesterday, sparking a market rebound. Notably, President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal levy hikes, sending bullish waves through the US stock market and the crypto sector.

Before now, the tariff war severely impacted Bitcoin’s price. The asset dropped to $74,000 earlier this week, sparking a broader market slump. While the border importation tax tussle has sparked skepticism among crypto market investors, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan believes it has near and long-term bullish implications for the pioneering cryptocurrency.

Silver Lining for Bitcoin?

Hougan highlighted an important statement from Steve Miran, the chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisors, in a letter to investors on Tuesday. The president’s economic advisor noted that the dollar’s role as a global reserve currency has led to distortion and unsustainable trade deficits.

Miran noted that despite the reduced borrowing rate, the dollar’s trade currency monopoly has stunted America’s manufacturing sector amid other economic implications. Meanwhile, Hougan stressed that the speech passed a clear message: Trump intends to lower the dollar’s dominance, even at the detriment of its status as the global reserve currency.

The Bitwise CIO noted that this move to weaken the dollar would have notable implications for Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market cap. In the short term, he stated that the premier asset’s -0.4 to -0.8 correlation with the US Dollar Index (DXY) would ensure that Bitcoin rises as the dollar falls.

Bitcoin to Assume Global Reserve Role

Remarkably, Hougan noted that the dollar’s decline as a global reserve currency would pave the way for a market shift to a more fractured reserve system. He highlighted that this would mean a demand for hard money for international trade settlement, a role that Bitcoin and gold will effectively fit into.

As a result, the Bitwise executive predicts an elevated position for Bitcoin as the new global reserve asset in the long term.

Interestingly, Hougan is not the only one who sees Bitcoin upsetting the dollar to become a global reserve asset; BlackRock’s CEO, Larry Fink, thinks so too. In an annual stakeholder’s letter, he noted that Bitcoin poses serious threats to the dollar’s dominance and sees the digital asset taking preeminence in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Bitwise CIO previously reiterated that Bitcoin remains on track to hit $200,000 before the end of the year.

Cardano Founder Predicts Timeline For Bitcoin to Hit $250,000

0

Bitcoin price could surge to more than double its current all-time high, according to a recent prediction from Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano.

Hoskinson made the bold prediction during an appearance on CNBC’s Beyond The Valley podcast. He believes that as major tech companies, such as Apple and Microsoft, enter the crypto space, Bitcoin could experience substantial growth, despite its current price fluctuations.

At present, Bitcoin (BTC) trades for $81,767, a 5.54% increase in the last 24 hours, though it has dropped by 2.15% over the past week. This dip occurred amidst a broader sell-off of risk assets, triggered by President Donald Trump’s implementation of “reciprocal tariffs.”

This move caused instability in global markets, leading Bitcoin’s price to trade below $77,000. However, the Cardano founder believes the crypto firstborn will recover, eventually reaching $250,000 this year or the next. Notably, this is more than double its current all-time high around $109,000.

Key Factors Driving Bitcoin’s Potential Growth

Hoskinson identified several factors that could push Bitcoin’s price to new heights. One significant driver is the increasing number of crypto users. According to data from Crypto.com, the number of crypto owners rose by 13% in 2024, reaching 659 million people. This growing adoption of digital assets signals expanding demand, which could fuel further price increases.

In addition, the geopolitical landscape is shifting toward greater global conflict. Hoskinson explains that with countries like Russia and China taking assertive actions in the international arena, traditional treaties and global business models are facing challenges. In such an environment, Hoskinson argues, crypto offers a viable alternative for global economic transactions, potentially boosting its value.

Another important factor highlighted by Hoskinson is the potential impact of new stablecoin legislation. The Investor Protection Act, and Digital Asset Market Structure, currently under consideration in the U.S. Congress, aims to clarify the regulatory framework for this asset class. The passing of these bills would provide much-needed legal certainty for the market and could reignite investor interest in the crypto market.

Hoskinson anticipates a period of market consolidation over the next three to five months. However, he predicts a wave of speculative interest in the crypto market by late summer or early fall. He believes that this renewed interest, combined with the legislative changes, could push Bitcoin’s price upward in the months that follow.

Bitcoin’s Technical Outlook

From a technical perspective, analysts are also optimistic about Bitcoin’s future performance. Philip, a market watcher on TradingView, points out that Bitcoin has demonstrated long-term strength, even as the stock market has struggled.

Bitcoin has held its ground, suggesting bullish momentum. Philip’s chart analysis highlights key resistance levels and signals that Bitcoin may soon break through to new all-time highs. He forecasts that Bitcoin could reach as high as $220,000, based on its current trends and historical performance.

Only 10% of Shiba Inu Holders in Profit, While 87% Face Losses at SHIB Current Price

0

Despite Shiba Inu recent surge to around $0.000012, only a few addresses holding SHIB are currently profitable.

As President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs, the prices of major financial instruments soared tremendously.

Shiba Inu Soars to $0.000012 After Trump Pauses Tariffs

The announcement eased global economic tension, benefitting financial instruments like Shiba Inu, as its price rebounded to around $0.000012. Recall that SHIB plunged to a multi-month low of $0.00001031 earlier this week following an escalation of the tariff war.

With Trump announcing a temporary 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs, SHIB rebounded to $0.00001213 yesterday, marking a 19.74% increase from its recent low of $0.00001031.

However, it has experienced a slight retracement, with one SHIB currently trading at $0.00001198.

Shiba Inu Holders in Profit

Despite Shiba Inu’s recovery, only a few investors are holding SHIB in profit. According to data from IntoTheBlock, only 10.40% of all Shiba Inu on-chain wallets, or 482,970 addresses, are currently ‘in the money.’

This indicates that the addresses are profitable as they acquired SHIB at an average cost below the current price. Furthermore, these 482,970 addresses hold a combined 102.43 trillion SHIB valued at $1.22 billion.

However, the majority of Shiba Inu holders are ‘out of the money’ or currently holding SHIB at a loss. IntoTheBlock’s data suggests that 898,230 Shiba Inu addresses, representing 87.02%, have incurred losses on their SHIB investments. These addresses bought a combined 857.13 trillion SHIB above the current price of $0.00001198.

Notably, 63,680 addresses, or 2.58% of Shiba Inu’s on-chain wallets, are currently at the money. This indicates that they are neither profitable nor in losses at the current price. These addresses hold a total of 25.42 trillion SHIB tokens, equivalent to $304.53 million.

Investors and Team Remain Devoted Amid Volatility

While the current value of SHIB is far from its December 8 peak price of $0.00003329, many investors have remained devoted to it.

IntoTheBlock’s data indicates that around 1.45 million addresses hold SHIB, positioning Shiba Inu as one of the most held tokens.

Interestingly, 77% of these on-chain wallets have been holding SHIB for over a year. About 21% have held the token for between one and 12 months, while only 2% have held it for less than a month.

In the meantime, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team has chosen to ignore the recent FUDs in the market while focusing on upcoming upgrades. Earlier this week, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, hinted at the imminent launch of a new technology within the SHIB ecosystem.

Further, she also disclosed that the team would unveil other significant projects in the future. However, Lucie suggested it would take longer before those projects see the light of day.

World Food Program USA Now Accepts Bitcoin, Dogecoin and 70+ Cryptos for Donations

0

World Food Program USA (WFP USA) has announced that it is now accepting donations in over Bitcoin and 79 types of crypto assets.

The new initiative, launched through a partnership with The Giving Block, includes well-known digital currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USD Coin.

This move aims to provide donors with an innovative and secure avenue to support WFP’s lifesaving operations in more than 120 countries and territories.

A Fast, Secure Way to Support Food Assistance

WFP USA’s decision to accept crypto comes as global hunger is reaching alarming levels. As traditional aid systems face growing pressures, the organization seeks new ways to engage with a broad range of donors.

Crypto offers several advantages, including lower transaction fees compared to traditional methods, allowing more funds to reach those in need directly. Additionally, crypto donations are processed quickly, often in minutes, whereas conventional methods can take days.

Notably, crypto donations also offer potential tax benefits, including exemptions from capital gains tax and eligibility for deductions at full market value. These incentives make it easier for donors to contribute meaningfully while taking advantage of the tax advantages associated with digital currencies.

Relief Fund Launched to Address Funding Shortfall

The World Food Program launched its Emergency Hunger Relief Fund on March 31 to address its urgent funding needs. The fund aims to raise over $25 million in private sector and individual donations.

The fund is intended to help fill the financial gaps left by WFP’s recent shortfall warning, which directly impacts its ability to provide aid to 58 million people facing starvation. This initiative aligns with WFP’s ongoing efforts to mitigate the effects of hunger through food assistance programs in countries grappling with conflict and natural disasters.

In a statement, Dorota Amin, Chief Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer at WFP USA, emphasized the need for innovative approaches to funding. As the crisis deepens, she highlighted that adapting to emerging technologies like blockchain and cryptocurrency is not just a choice—it is essential for keeping pace with the growing demand for aid.

WFP’s Blockchain and Crypto Integration

Notably, WFP’s adoption of blockchain technology is not new. It already uses blockchain to deliver aid directly to refugees via secure digital wallets. This system reduces transaction costs by up to 98%, minimizing fraud and ensuring faster assistance delivery.

Ex Twitter Co-founder Dorsey Says Signal Should Use Bitcoin for P2P Payments

0

Jack Dorsey, ex-co-founder of Twitter, now X, recently suggested that Signal, the encrypted communications app, should integrate Bitcoin for peer-to-peer (P2P) payments.

Dorsey’s proposal came in response to a comment by Calle, an open-source developer, who advocated for Signal to use Bitcoin due to its secure communication platform.

Dorsey’s tweet called attention to the potential for Signal to embrace Bitcoin, seeing it as an ideal solution for P2P transactions, as it would align with Signal’s goal of maintaining privacy and security in user interactions.

Vision for Bitcoin Integration in Signal

For context Calle highlighted that Bitcoin would serve as an excellent option for Signal, as the app already provides end-to-end encryption for its messages. Notably, incorporating Bitcoin could make Signal even more useful, particularly for users seeking privacy in financial transactions.

According to Calle, this integration would demonstrate the true potential of digital currencies, as it would present a platform where users could exchange tokens in a secure environment without needing a separate blockchain.

Dorsey supports this view. However, other users began commenting on the Twitter co-founder’s remarks amid a flood of mixed opinions.

Signal’s Past Stance on Cryptos

Despite the support for Dorsey’s idea, a user reminded the public that Signal had previously expressed a negative stance toward cryptos, particularly Bitcoin. In past statements, Signal’s leadership had criticized Bitcoin and other digital currencies, calling them scams.

The controversy surrounding Signal’s past decisions became even more pronounced when a critic said that the app chose to partner with Mobile Coin in 2021. This move introduced a pre-mined crypto into the app, which was met with failure.

Global Bitcoin Adoption Trends

Meanwhile, other global companies continue to explore the adoption of crypto payments, showing that the idea of digital currencies in mainstream commerce is not a passing trend.

Ferrari began accepting crypto payments in the United States and later expanded this initiative to Europe. The luxury car brand partnered with BitPay to enable customers to purchase vehicles using cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, and USD Coin.

Similarly, Strike, a global payments facilitator, raised $80 million to support the advancement of its payment systems using the Bitcoin Lightning Network. The Lightning Network, designed to enhance Bitcoin’s transaction speed and efficiency, has gained traction among major industry players, including Strike.
