Here’s How Many Wallets Hold 1 XRP or More As XRP Network Grows Stronger

While XRP has faced massive sell pressure recently, the price decline has not dampened confidence, as network growth shows no signs of slowing.

According to on-chain data from Glassnode, the number of XRP addresses holding at least 1 XRP has reached an all-time high of 6,255,795 as of April 7, 2025.

Signs of Strength Amid Dipping Prices

This milestone comes despite XRP’s price dipping from over $2.10 to $1.60 this week. This highlights a divergence between XRP’s short-term market volatility and long-term user adoption.

Market analyst Ali Martinez cited the data as a sign of strength, noting that the XRPL network continues to grow stronger despite recent volatility. The chart he shared shows a steady rise in wallet growth over the past weeks amid long-term holders’ optimism.

Broader Spectrum of XRP Holders

While this data points to a new record in holders of at least 1 XRP, the number of wallets with a non-zero balance of XRP is also maintaining an uptrend.

In particular, data from the XRP Rich List shows that as of the start of the year, the total number of active XRP wallets was around 5.839 million. As of press time, that number has increased to 6.366 million, reflecting an addition of over 527,000 new XRP wallets this year.

Meanwhile, as of January 2024, the figure was 4.9 million, as reported by The Crypto Basic. The current count of non-zero balance XRP addresses indicates that 1.466 million new XRP wallets have joined the network over the past year.

The increase in unique addresses suggests growing interest in XRP from new participants amid speculation around future utility, ETF potential, and continued developments in Ripple’s global partnerships.

While the price faces short-term headwinds, the expanding user base could lay the groundwork for stronger price action in the future, as seen in the last quarter of 2024 leading into the new year.

The majority of XRP Wallets Are Small Holders

Meanwhile, the majority of XRP wallets belong to small holders. Specifically, 2.639 million addresses hold only 0 to 20 XRP tokens, while another 2.518 million wallets hold between 20 and 500 XRP tokens.

These tiers of investors make up an astonishing 5.125 million wallets, or 81% of the total count of active XRP holders.

Analyst Says XRP Entering Grinding Stage Within Falling Wedge Pattern, Targets $4 Upon Breakout

0

A prominent analyst says XRP is shifting from the boredom phase to the grinding stage within its daily falling wedge pattern.

The market strategist disclosed this in his latest commentary, identifying a falling wedge formation on the daily XRP chart which points to a potential bullish reversal.

In his latest analysis, EGRAG noted the transition from what he previously labeled the “boredom phase” into what he now calls the “grinding phase.” Notably, this grinding phase features extended consolidation and repeated tests of lower support levels within the wedge pattern.

XRP Falling Wedge

The falling wedge identified by EGRAG began forming in mid-January 2025, shortly after XRP retraced from its seven-year high of $3.40. This correction laid the foundation for the current pattern, which has persisted for about three months.

The chart structure features two descending yellow trendlines: the upper line serves as the resistance level, while the lower line acts as critical support. Currently, this support lies near the $1.40 mark, a price level XRP has not yet breached during its correction.

At present, XRP trades around $1.99, locked in a struggle to reclaim and sustain the psychologically significant $2 threshold. Despite this battle, EGRAG believes the token remains within the boundaries of the falling wedge and could continue to experience bearish pressure for the next few months.

His projections suggest that XRP might revisit the lower yellow trendline support multiple times during this consolidation period. However, he believes the altcoin will repeatedly respect this support, eventually leading to an upward breakout.

Notably, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the structural integrity of the wedge. According to him, if XRP loses the yellow trendline support, this will severely compromise the bullish thesis, suggesting a breakdown could significantly derail the outlook.

However, he remains optimistic that XRP will continue respecting this level and ultimately complete the wedge formation.

XRP Paths Point to $4 Upon Breakout

EGRAG outlines two potential paths for XRP within the wedge. One path, highlighted in yellow on the chart, suggests a prolonged consolidation phase before an eventual upward breakout.

Meanwhile, the other, in blue, indicates a steeper but shorter-term descent that could expedite the breakout process. Despite the differences in trajectory, both paths converge toward the same bullish outcome: a breakout that propels XRP to a price target of $4.

According to EGRAG’s projections, the breakout may not occur immediately. The current grinding phase could stretch across several more months, especially if XRP follows the yellow path. This would mean an extended period of subdued price action and oscillation below the $2 mark.

However, should the blue trajectory play out, the breakout could come a month sooner, allowing XRP to reach the $4 target more quickly. With XRP currently trading for $1.99, the asset is down 2.8% this morning. This comes after an impressive 14.2% intraday spike yesterday.

Large Investor Demand for Bitcoin Accelerating: Could This Push BTC to $100K?

0

CryptoQuant data shows increasing investor demand for Bitcoin, with wallets holding 1K–10K BTC rising faster than their 30-day average.

Bitcoin’s price has experienced significant fluctuations recently, dropping below $75,000. Meanwhile, the BTC price has gained nearly $9,000 from its recent lows, briefly hitting $83,500.

Although it couldn’t maintain the momentum to climb further, Bitcoin’s current price remains above $81,000 following a minor correction. Its market capitalization now sits at $1.62 trillion, with dominance over alternative crypto surpassing 60%.

Amid the recent Bitcoin recovery, large crypto investors are loading their bags. Data from CryptoQuant reveals that the number of wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC is growing faster than the 30-day average.

This trend is considered bullish, reflecting strong investor confidence in Bitcoin’s future. These investors, typically excluding exchanges and mining pools, are often seen as key players in maintaining Bitcoin’s value as both an investment asset and a store of value.

Furthermore, the rise in the balance of these large holders coincides with Bitcoin’s recent price increases. As Bitcoin pushes above $81,000, the market seems resilient despite external market pressures.

Analysts Predict Bitcoin Future Movement

With the evident rising metrics, various analysts have offered insights into Bitcoin’s potential trajectory. Enzy Bitcoin, an analyst active on X, points out that every time Bitcoin fills a price gap, it tends to bounce upwards.

He highlighted the recent gap between $70,000 and $75,000, suggesting that Bitcoin may see a substantial price increase, possibly reaching $130,000 soon. This pattern has been consistent in the past, giving analysts confidence in Bitcoin’s ability to rebound after filling these price gaps.

In addition, BitBull, another prominent analyst, compares Bitcoin’s current behavior to the recent volatility in U.S. stock markets.

While traditional markets struggle, Bitcoin has remained steady above $80,000, showcasing its dominance and resilience. With Bitcoin holding firm, some analysts believe that anything under $100,000 could still be seen as an opportunity for investors.

BTC Long-Term Growth

Meanwhile, analyst Carl Moon recently offered an optimistic long-term outlook for Bitcoin. He explains that understanding market cycles is crucial, especially during periods of price fluctuations like those seen in a bear trap.

Moon anticipates that Bitcoin could soar to $500,000 while top altcoins might also see significant growth.

Bitcoin Maxi Samson Mow Says Ethereum Remains Overvalued Even at $1,600

0

Samson Mow, popular Bitcoin maximalist and CEO of the JAN3 firm, reinforces his old jab at Ethereum, noting that ETH remains overvalued at the $1,600 price mark.

The outspoken Bitcoin maximalist made the comment today while resurfacing an old tweet he published on August 23, 2022, regarding ETH’s valuation.

Mow’s Views on Ethereum Valuation

At the time, ETH traded around $1,600 per coin, which is the same level Ethereum is trading at today. Meanwhile, Bitcoin was trading at $21,500 back then in 2022 but today, its value is around $80K.

Interestingly, Mow, who expects Bitcoin to hit $1 million this year, emphasized that ETH was overvalued in proportion to Bitcoin’s valuation. He maintains the sentiment even today, when the gap between Bitcoin and Ethereum has further widened.

Mow suggested that Bitcoin has a total supply of less than 21 million BTC, possibly due to lost keys. However, he noted that out of Ethereum’s 122 million total supply, 72 million of those coins were premined.

Interestingly, he suggested that ETH would be worth $9,300 per coin if it had a supply of 21 million coins like Bitcoin. Referencing the adjusted calculation, Mow shaded Ethereum investors for paying a premium price of $9,300 to acquire one ETH.

‘Ethereum Is Still Overvalued’

Nearly three years after his initial tweet, Mow reinforces the idea that Ethereum’s price is still overvalued. This indicates that Ethereum’s price does not seem justified by its supply, of which Mow claims 60% was “minted out of thin air.”

At press time, ETH is trading at $1,579 per coin, up 5.41% over the past 24 hours. The second-biggest cryptocurrency, which traded around the $1,800 territory earlier this week, plunged to a multi-year low of $1,386 yesterday due to escalated tension from the tariff war.

Shortly after hitting this level, ETH recovered to a high of $1,687 on April 9, as Trump announced a three-month pause of the increased tariff he initially imposed against several countries except China.

While ETH hovers around $1,600, as it did on August 23, 2022, Bitcoin is changing hands at $81,332. Bitcoin’s current price represents an increase of 278.28% from the $21,500 mark where it traded on that date. Despite this, Mow insists that Ethereum remains overvalued.

The JAN3 CEO has been slamming Ethereum over the years. In November 2024, he cautioned meme coin investors that ‘what happened to Ethereum’ may likely happen to their favorite token of choice. Therefore, he advised them to sell everything, including ETH, and buy Bitcoin.

OKX and Standard Chartered Unveil Collateral Mirroring Pilot with Brevan Howard and Franklin Templeton Participation

Global crypto exchange OKX has launched a pioneering collateral mirroring program in partnership with global banking giant Standard Chartered.

This initiative also includes early participation from Franklin Templeton and Brevan Howard. It allows institutional clients to use crypto assets and tokenized money market funds (MMFs) as off-exchange collateral for trading.

Notably, OKX is piloting the program under the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) regulatory framework.

Standard Chartered to Serve as Regulated Custodian

Meanwhile, Standard Chartered will serve as the regulated custodian within the Dubai International Financial Centre, under the oversight of the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).

The bank will safeguard collateral assets to ensure a secure and compliant environment for institutional clients engaging in the program.

Margaret Harwood-Jones, Standard Chartered’s Global Head of Finance, emphasized that the alliance with OKX marks a key step in offering secure, efficient custody solutions that foster trust and regulatory compliance in the digital asset scene.

Moreover, Hong Fang, President of OKX, highlighted that the partnership sets an industry standard by combining Standard Chartered’s custodial expertise with OKX’s crypto trading leadership to create a trusted capital deployment environment.

Franklin Templeton’s Tokenized Fund Takes the Lead

Interestingly, Franklin Templeton, the trillion-dollar asset management firm, will be the first to offer a tokenized money market fund under the OKX–Standard Chartered program. These assets will integrate into institutional clients’ financial operations, improving capital efficiency and security.

In addition, Brevan Howard’s crypto-focused division, Brevan Howard Digital, is one of the first institutions to join the initiative.

OKX noted that the early involvement of these institutions highlights the increasing institutional appetite for collateral solutions that marry blockchain technology with established financial practices.

Notably, in his commentary, Roger Bayston, Head of Digital Assets at Franklin Templeton, highlighted that blockchain enables true ownership and easy asset movement. Bayston acknowledged that it supports the evolving financial ecosystem with on-chain solutions that replace traditional infrastructure.

Ryan Taylor, Group Head of Compliance at Brevan Howard, added that the program is part of ongoing innovation and institutionalization in the crypto industry. As a result, they are excited to partner with leaders to drive its global evolution.

Finance Coach Slams Bitcoin Investors Who Bought at $100K But Made This Rookie Move

A Bitcoin maximalist has criticized investors who entered the market at peak prices but exited hastily at the first sign of volatility.

This sharp criticism came from Rajat Soni, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and self-acclaimed personal finance coach, amid the ongoing Bitcoin market struggles. For context, BTC has continued to dance to the tune of the bears as macroeconomic headwinds from the tariff war take shape.

Bitcoin’s Rollercoaster Ride Since November 2024

Particularly, Bitcoin collapsed from $83,000 on April 4 to a five-month floor price of around $75,000 three days later. Despite an impressive 8.33% gain on April 9 on the back of easing tensions, Bitcoin is still down 1.46% this month, and by a more substantial 12.86% year-to-date.

Amid the ongoing downturn, Soni took to X to slam investors who sold too early at the first sight of volatility. His latest commentary suggested that there were buyers who entered into the market when Bitcoin hit the psychologically significant $100,000 price milestone.

Notably, BTC first crossed $100,000 in early December 2024. Despite occasional pullbacks, the asset persistently recovered the $100,000 mark throughout that month, hitting a new all-time high above $109,000 in January. However, it’s been downhill since then, with February, March and now April introducing intense bearish pressure.

Notably, a previous report from The Crypto Basic confirmed this selloff campaign from investors who entered the market during the latest uptrend. In February, data from Glassnode indicated that the 7-day SMA of assets sold by these investors at loss rose to 5,500 BTC in early February but later subsided.

Finance Coach Slams Bitcoin Buyers Who Sold at $75K

In addition, as the price collapsed to the $75K mark on April 7, the selloff campaign resumed. Soni had some harsh words for these investors who took to their heels, branding them “idiots.” This comment is largely due to the finance analyst’s conviction that Bitcoin will claim much higher prices.

Interestingly, in a separate disclosure, Soni stressed that he discusses Bitcoin often because he wishes to prepare investors for what’s coming. According to him, it is his desire that the average investor amasses enough Bitcoin before governments start buying, a development that could lead to a supply shock.

Besides his constant advocacy for investors to accumulate Bitcoin, a campaign that Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor has also championed, Soni also has wild predictions for BTC. In January, he suggested that investors who are at most 20 years old this year will be able to see Bitcoin hit $100 million in their lifetime. With BTC currently trading for $81,050, this would mark a 123,380% increase.

Nasdaq Files 19b-4 with US SEC for VanEck Avalanche ETF

0

The New York-based exchange Nasdaq has submitted a 19b-4 form with the US SEC to list the Avalanche ETF product from asset manager VanEck.

The filing, which came up today, Thursday, followed an earlier S-1 registration form from VanEck filed with the top regulatory body. VanEck submitted this application in March, declaring its intention to manage a traditional investment vehicle offering exposure to Avalanche.

Notably, Bloomberg’s ETF analyst James Seyffart confirmed the latest development in a tweet today. For context, VanEck becomes the second asset manager to file for an Avalanche ETF, with both 19b-4 filings for the product submitted by Nasdaq.

VanEck Avalanche ETF

VanEck Seeks Approval for an Avalanche ETF

Avalanche is prominent in the cryptocurrency industry for its smart contract features. The open-sourced layer-1 network allows users to build decentralized applications atop it, offering high throughput and Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) compatibilities.

The VanEck Avalanche ETF would offer institutional and retail traders exposure to AVAX, the Avalanche network’s native token. With a market cap of $7.5 billion, the asset currently ranks 13th in the CoinMarketCap cryptocurrency ranking by market valuation.

Meanwhile, the commodity-based ETF would hold AVAX and value its shares tracked against the Market Vector Avalanche Benchmark Rate. Furthermore, the funds will be listed and traded on Nasdaq, offering alternative exposure to Avalanche.

A Parade of Altcoin ETFs

The Thursday rule change filing becomes the latest attempt by an asset manager to offer an Avalanche ETF. Recall that Nasdaq submitted a similar application with the SEC in late March on behalf of prominent asset manager Grayscale.

Moreover, VanEck recently registered a Binance Coin (BNB) ETF with Delaware earlier in the month, becoming the first asset manager to consider an investment product tracking the asset in the United States. It has also filed for a Solana ETF, submitting the rule-change request in June 2024.

Remarkably, the US SEC has seen a parade of altcoin ETFs recently, amid an easing regulatory environment in America. Several asset managers have submitted applications for Solana, Dogecoin, Cardano, and Polkadot ETFs, leaving the incoming chair, Paul Atkins, with a crucial decision to make.

Ripple’s Latest Acquisition Could Enable XRP to Process $1.5 Trillion, Potentially Leading to a Major Price Surge, Says Expert

Ripple’s $1.25 billion acquisition of prime broker Hidden Road has sparked renewed speculation around XRP handling trillions in institutional liquidity.

Following comments from Ripple CTO David Schwartz regarding the acquisition, XRP community influencer Zach Rector presented an analysis of how the deal could impact XRP’s price and adoption.

For context, Ripple’s purchase of Hidden Road is one of the most significant acquisitions in the crypto scene. Schwartz revealed that Hidden Road processes over $10 billion in daily liquidity across traditional financial markets.

However, these transactions often take up to 24 hours to settle using legacy financial systems. Ripple’s CTO highlighted that a “portion” of Hidden Road’s massive transaction volume could soon be processed on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

This would enable faster and more efficient settlement. At the same time, it would inject a fresh wave of institutional liquidity into the XRP ecosystem. Accordingly, Schwartz described the acquisition as “a defining moment for XRP.”

Unsurprisingly, the XRP community took note. Enthusiasts are now speculating on the scale of capital that could eventually flow through the XRPL.

The Math: How XRP Could Handle Trillions Annually

Building on Schwartz’s statements, Rector crunched the numbers to illustrate how even a fraction of Hidden Road’s liquidity could drive enormous settlement volume through the XRPL.

He reiterated his long-held belief that XRP only needs to capture a small percentage of institutional flows to see significant price appreciation. He believes Ripple’s acquisition and Schwartz’s remarks further validate that belief.

According to the Rector’s breakdown of potential daily and annual flows through the XRPL:

  • 10% of Hidden Road’s liquidity: $1 billion per day, translating to roughly $300 billion annually
  • 30% of liquidity: $3 billion daily, or $900 billion to $1 trillion annually
  • 50% of liquidity: $5 billion per day, totaling over $1.5 trillion annually

From “Crazy” to “Inevitable”?

Rector claims these figures confirm that XRPL is in a position to handle trillions in financial flows, turning what once seemed like a fantasy into a growing reality. He sees new credibility to the XRP community’s long-standing vision of XRPL processing trillion-dollar transactions.

Some XRP supporters believe that for XRPL to process trillions in value realistically, XRP’s unit price must rise substantially. Notably, XRP’s price is $1.98, and its market cap is $115 billion. Proponents argue that the network’s capacity to handle multi-trillion dollar flows would necessitate a significantly higher market capitalization in the multi-trillion range.

While still speculative, Ripple’s acquisition of Hidden Road has potentially laid the groundwork for this long-held theory to materialize.

VeChain Breaks Out of Falling Wedge: Is $0.031 Target Next?

VeChain breaks out of the falling wedge pattern as it surpasses $0.020. Will this breakout rally hit the $0.031 price target?

As Bitcoin crosses $82k following the recent 90-day pause in Donald Trump’s tariffs, altcoins are experiencing a recovery. Among the rising altcoins, VeChain is signaling a massive breakout rally.

With a sudden overnight surge and extended intraday recovery, the VET price trend indicates a potential falling wedge breakout. Will this breakout rally propel the price to $0.031?

VeChain Token Price Analysis

VeChain’s price action on the daily chart shows a bullish breakout from a long-standing resistance trendline, creating a falling wedge pattern. This breakout follows a 75% price decline in VeChain from $0.078 to $0.019.

The recent recovery in VET, marked by a 12.48% price surge yesterday, set the stage for this breakout. Currently, VeChain is trading at $0.022, with an intraday recovery of nearly 3%.

BINANCE:VETUSD Chart Image by Trojan69420

As the altcoin nears a trend reversal, technical indicators are signaling a bullish run. The MACD and signal lines are poised to provide a positive crossover.

Additionally, the daily RSI has spiked from the oversold region to nearly the halfway mark, indicating a decline in bearish momentum and supporting the chances of a bullish trend reversal.

VET Price Targets

The long-awaited trendline breakout has pushed VeChain above the $0.020 psychological level. Based on Fibonacci retracement levels, VeChain will likely challenge the 78.60% retracement level.

This crucial resistance level targets $0.031, representing an upside potential of nearly 45%. If the broader market remains stable or turns optimistically bullish, VeChain will likely outperform many other top altcoins.

Analyst Signals Trend Reversal in VeChain Token, Targets $0.074

As VeChain marks its falling wedge breakout, Michael Van de Poppe, a crypto analyst, signals strong bullish reversal prospects for VeChain on a higher timeframe. The analyst highlights a crucial support zone for VeChain at the $0.020 psychological level.

The current VET price of $0.022 reflects a bullish recovery from this key support, so the uptrend is likely to gain momentum.

Image

In his tweet, the analyst also noted VeChain’s achievement in obtaining the MiCAR license. The license is the European Union’s regulatory framework for crypto assets and service providers. As VeChain overcomes regulatory hurdles in the European region, the potential for increased adoption could drive the VET token price higher.

According to the analyst’s chart, a potential turnaround from the higher timeframe support at $0.020 could target a swing high at $0.074.

Pepe Eyes $0.000015 Amid Potential Falling Channel Breakout

Pepe meme coin approaches resistance after a 15% surge, showing bullish MACD and RSI signals. Can it break out to hit the $0.000015 level?

With a sudden shift in the crypto market sentiment, meme coins are gradually gaining momentum. Leading the meme coin rally, Pepe has emerged as one of the top-performing tokens, surging 15% on Wednesday.

This surge has heightened bullish expectations of a falling channel breakout rally. As the crypto market turns bullish, will Pepe trigger a breakout rally to reach the $0.000015 mark?

Pepe Price Analysis

On the daily chart, Pepe’s price action reveals a clear resistance trendline that has formed a falling channel pattern. Within this pattern, Pepe’s price dropped from a peak of $0.000026 to a low of $0.0000052.

After a period of sideways consolidation, the price of Pepe is now approaching the overhead resistance trendline, signaling the potential for a bullish reversal. With the broader market recovering, the chances of a breakout rally have significantly improved.

Additionally, technical indicators are supporting the likelihood of a breakout. The MACD and signal lines are on the verge of a positive crossover. Moreover, the daily RSI line is showing signs of a bullish divergence.

Large Holders Netflow Remains Negative

Despite the positive technical signals, the overall sentiment surrounding Pepe within the falling channel pattern remains largely bearish. According to IntoTheBlock, the large holders’ netflow remains negative.

Over the past 7 days, the large holders’ netflow has decreased by -309%, with the 30-day change standing at -170%. On April 9, the daily netflow stood at -727.46 billion Pepe tokens.

Pepe Large Holders Netflow

Pepe Price Targets

Due to the prevailing bearish sentiment, the large holders’ netflow remains negative. However, with the possibility of a breakout rally, we may see increased confidence among large Pepe holders.

Based on Fibonacci levels, the channel breakout rally will likely target the 50% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.00001584. For this extended rally to unfold, Pepe must first surpass the $0.000010 psychological resistance. On the flip side, crucial support remains at the $0.0000050 psychological level.
