Here’s How Much XRP You Need to Become a Top 10%, 5%, or 1% Holder

As XRP hovers around $2 amid consecutive weekly declines, community members urge each other to seize the opportunity and consolidate their holdings.

XRP is down by 13% over the past week as it trades at $2.08. The price dip has persisted since January, but enthusiasts believe a turnaround is imminent. To encourage more accumulation, community figures often highlight the relatively small amount of tokens investors need to hold to rank among the “richest” XRP holders.

Becoming a Top 10%, 5%, or 1% XRP Holder

Notably, the latest statistics from the XRP Rich List show that crypto investors only need to hold 2,501 XRP to be among the top 10% of XRP holders. Acquiring this portfolio requires an investment of about $5,227.

However, to become one of the top 5% of XRP investors, one only needs to hold 9,003 tokens. Currently, only 316,880 accounts have this much XRP. Joining this rank requires an investment of up to $19,000.

As for the lofty top 1%, it requires a more significant capital investment. The top 1% of XRP investors have balances above 52,030 tokens, which costs around $108,742. Notably, only 63,376 wallets meet this requirement.

Given this relatively low entry barrier to the XRP Rich List, prominent community figures continue urging enthusiasts to join the ranks of the top holders. They see the threshold as prestigious. Meanwhile, joining the ranks of top XRP holders could hold a psychological significance.

Overview of the XRP Holder Spectrum

For context, there are 6,337,602 wallets holding XRP. However, the overwhelming majority hold fewer than 500 tokens, while a few wallets hold the largest concentration of XRP.

In particular, 2.614 million accounts hold only 20 XRP tokens, with their cumulative holding totaling 23.17 million XRP. Meanwhile, about 2.517 million wallets hold between 20 and 500 XRP, collectively amounting to 204.174 million tokens. On the other hand, fewer than 30 wallets hold over 20 billion XRP tokens.

As a result, joining the ranks of the top XRP holders requires just a few thousand tokens, as many wallets hold much lower amounts.

Hypothetical Projections

Community figures like Edoardo Farina, who frequently talk about joining the XRP top holders list, often cite hypothetical XRP price projections as a significant reason.

In his view, those with at least 2,501 XRP holdings stand a better chance of financial success should XRP reach prices like $100 per token. In this scenario, 2,501 XRP ($5,227 today) would be worth $250,100.

Meanwhile, prediction platforms like Changelly and Telegaon have argued that XRP could take more than a decade to reach $100. However, popular projections in the community suggest XRP could reach $100 even this year. Nonetheless, this remains hypothetical.

Rising Active Addresses to Drive Solana Network Growth?

As Solana gradually gains bullish momentum, the number of daily active addresses on the network has seen a significant recovery. Over the past two weeks, the number of active addresses has jumped from 2.77 million to 3.3 million.

Solana Active Addresses

This marks a notable recovery, hinting at a potential resurgence in active addresses. Furthermore, the number of transactions on the Solana network has experienced sharp changes.

In February, the number of non-vote transactions stood at 1.62 billion, while vote transactions increased to 8.2 billion. This reflected a network slowdown compared to January.

However, in March, the number of vote transactions jumped to 8.77 billion, with the non-vote transactions taking a minor hit to 1.54 billion.

Solana Futures See Bullish Sentiment Spike

With the short-term recovery, trader interest in Solana Futures has increased significantly. Open interest has risen by 1.88%, reaching $4.88 billion.

Additionally, the long-to-short ratio over the past 24 hours has neutralized at 1.0121. With increasing trader interest, the funding rate has flipped positive, rising to 0.0034%. These shifts in the derivative data reflect a gradual growth in bullish sentiment.

Solana Breakout Rally Price Targets

With a slight uptick in bullish sentiment and a surge in network activity, Solana could soon witness a breakout rally. Based on the pivot point indicator, Solana’s immediate resistance is at the center pivot level of $138. A quick retest of the breakout could follow, with a rally toward the R1 resistance level at $165.

On the flip side, Solana’s key support remains at the $125 support zone, followed by the $112 swing low. According to the pivot levels, Solana’s S1 support level stands at $97.69.

Binance Leads Exchange Volumes with 8x Coinbase’s Volume: Here’s Why This Matters for Bitcoin Price

0

Binance continues to assert its dominance in the crypto market, with its spot trading volume again outpacing all other exchanges combined.

Per CryptoQuant data, the platform’s trading volume is currently eight times larger than Coinbase’s, a clear indication of its unmatched market influence. Despite a broader decline in overall spot volumes across exchanges, Binance’s position remains unshaken.

Binance’s Leading Role in Global Trading Volumes

Per CryptoQuant, at the beginning of 2024, Binance made headlines by recording a trading volume greater than that of all other exchanges combined. This surge came as Bitcoin reached new all-time highs, showing the close connection between Binance’s trading volume and overall market movements.

Further, the Binance vs. Other Exchanges BTC Spot Volume Delta indicator, which recently turned positive again, highlights Binance’s continued dominance.

The last time the indicator was in a similar position was in January 2024, just before Bitcoin saw a significant price increase from $42,000 to $73,000. With this trend reoccurring during bearish market conditions, a similar price reaction from Bitcoin may ensue.

Although Binance’s volume has been steadily outpacing its competitors, the gap between it and Coinbase has narrowed since the start of the year. At that time, Binance’s volume was nearly 19 times larger than Coinbase.

Bitcoin Market Sentiment and Decreased Selling Pressure

Meanwhile, recent market analysis shows a significant decrease in daily Bitcoin selling pressure across top exchanges. Analyst Axel Adler notes that on average, the selling pressure has dropped from 81,000 BTC per day to just 29,000 BTC.

This shift means that profit-taking, which had been a prominent feature of the market following Bitcoin’s breakout above $100,000, is now subsiding.

As a result, fewer sellers are active in the market, and buyers seem to be more comfortable at current price levels. According to Adler, this drop in selling activity may set the stage for a structural supply shortage in the coming months.

Ultimately, this decline in selling pressure suggests that the market has effectively absorbed recent profit-taking, with demand now showing signs of asymmetry.

Adler notes that the upcoming months, specifically April and May, could see a period of consolidation as the market takes a brief pause before the next major price movements.

Here’s Dogecoin Price Action After Elon Musk Dismissed Chances of the Asset’s Adoption for D.O.G.E.

0

Dogecoin has weathered the disappointing development from the Wisconsin rally, where Elon Musk revealed that DOGE has no intention of adopting the meme coin.

The Dogecoin community has had high hopes since the Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) launch on January 20. Although Donald Trump created the government parastatal for an entirely different purpose unrelated to cryptocurrencies, certain details of the organization had enthusiasts of the Shiba Inu mascot-themed token drolling.

First, the agency took its name after Dogecoin, a development that sparked bullish sentiments around the token’s ecosystem. Furthermore, the US efficiency department has its head as Elon Musk, a long-term DOGE admirer.

Musk Says Mere Coincidence

However, Musk came out on Sunday to dismiss speculations that the D.O.G.E. will adopt Dogecoin. He vehemently debunked the claims, noting that the government does not intend to use Dogecoin or any other cryptocurrency.

Additionally, he insinuated that their identical names were a mere coincidence. Revealing that he intended to name the agency the Department of Government Commission, he noted that the internet chose the D.O.G.E. instead.

Notably, Musk fueled this optimism at some point, with the parastatal showcasing the Dogecoin mascot on its website in February. Meanwhile, Dogecoin has weathered the recent setback, with its recent price action suggesting so.

Dogecoin’s Price Action After Elon Musk’s Comments

Although the Sunday comment came at what enthusiasts would perceive as the worst possible time, DOGE has shown resilience. After a rejection at the crucial $0.21 resistance on Wednesday, the asset was on a downward spiral when Musk distanced the agency from the meme coin.

However, Dogecoin closed the day with a meager 1.12% correction. The subsequent day, DOGE rebounded from an intraday low of $0.1595, setting the precedence for its bullish momentum today.

In the past 24 hours, the meme coin has appreciated over 4% amid a broader market recovery. At the time of writing, Dogecoin trades at $0.1738, recovering all the losses incurred since Musk’s comments.

Nonetheless, analysis suggests further upsides for Dogecoin after successfully holding the crucial $0.16 support, with targets like $2.28 and $7 on the radar.

Here is XRP Spot Trading Strategy with a Favorable Risk/Reward Ratio

Analyst Crypto Jex has shared an XRP spot trading strategy that presents a favorable risk/reward ratio for traders looking to capitalize on potential upside under current market conditions.

According to Crypto Jex, the XRP/USDT pair is currently moving within a clear range on the 4-hour chart. The analyst highlights the price range between $2.00 and $2.20 as a key accumulation zone. He noted that the lower end of this range has been tested multiple times in the past few weeks.

Jex argues that these repeated retests could mean strong buying interest, creating an opportunity for traders to enter at a favorable price point. Accordingly, he shared what he considers the ideal entry for XRP traders, along with stop-loss and profit-taking targets.

XRP Entry Point, Stop-Loss, and Target Levels

Jex’s strategy encourages traders to enter XRP between $2.00 and $2.20. He believes this area presents a potential low-risk entry based on recent price action and signs of accumulation.

Notably, amid the bearish pressure, since March, XRP has consistently defended the $2.00 level. Although it dipped below this level once, it quickly reclaimed it.

Essentially, the resilience XRP has shown around the $2.00 mark makes it a favorable entry point for some traders.

Meanwhile, Jex noted that a 4-hour close below $1.90 would invalidate the setup. As a result, he suggests setting a stop-loss at this level.

If the bulls prevail and XRP breaks above a higher resistance level, traders could target three profit-taking levels. The first target is exiting when XRP reaches $2.80. With XRP trading at $2.09, exiting at $2.80 would mean a gain of approximately 34%.

The second profit-taking target is when XRP reclaims $3.30, and the third target is when XRP surpasses $3.70. Notably, Jex has labeled this level as the breakout target.

Essentially, the XRP spot strategy suggests a structured approach with the potential for strong returns if the price moves in line with the analyst’s expectations.

By entering the position around $2 and setting the stop-loss below $1.90, traders can aim for up to 85% upside on XRP spot. Jex believes that the risk/reward ratio at these levels is particularly favorable.

Breakout Above $3.70 Could Ignite Strong Momentum

Meanwhile, the key to a more significant upward move lies in a potential breakout above the $3.70 level.

Jex indicates that if XRP can close above this price, it could trigger strong momentum, driving the price higher to the next target zone in the $4 range and beyond.

Binance Launches New Referral Campaign Offering Up to $290K in Shiba Inu and Dogecoin Rewards

0

Binance has launched a referral campaign, offering $290,000 in rewards across selected cryptocurrencies, such as Shiba Inu and Dogecoin.

The world’s largest crypto exchange announced the promo today, emphasizing that the referral program will run from April 1 to April 30, 2025.

During this period, Binance users can earn a share of the $290,000 prize pool in SHIB and DOGE rewards by referring new users or activating existing referrals to trade on the platform.

In addition to SHIB and DOGE, Binance plans to randomly distribute the rewards in other cryptocurrencies, such as BNB and PEPE.

Binance Referral Program

The referral program consists of two major activities: increasing the number of traded invitees and referring new users to deposit and trade on Binance.

Activity A

This first activity requires Binance users to increase the number of ‘traded invitees.’ This implies encouraging existing referrals who signed up on Binance using your Referral Pro-Link/ID to trade on the exchange’s spot, futures, or margin.

Binance set aside a prize pool of $240,000, with rewards expected to be randomly distributed in SHIB, DOGE, and others. To participate in this campaign, user must confirm their participation by clicking the ‘Join Now’ button on the activity page.

Once enrolled, users need to encourage existing referrals or new users to sign up with their referral ID and complete trades on Binance. To earn a share of the $240,000 reward, users must have a minimum of three traded invitees and refer at least one new user to complete a trade after joining the campaign.

Notably, Binance structured the reward in five tiers with different prize pools attached to each. The first requires participants to have at least three traded invitees to share a prize pool of $20,000 worth of SHIB and DOGE.

Tiers 2, 3, 4, and 5 require a minimum of 10, 20, 50, or 100 traded invitees to enable participants to share a prize pool of $30,000, $40,000, $50,000, and $100,000, respectively. For each tier, you must refer at least one new user to trade during the campaign period.

Activity B

To participate in this second campaign, you must invite new users to sign up using your referral link and encourage them to deposit at least $50 through P2P trading, buy crypto with cards, or make cash deposits.

Then, convince them to trade a total of at least $200 on Binance’s spot platform. Upon completing the task, you and your invitee will each receive $5 in USDC token vouchers, bringing the total prize pool to $50,000. This event is limited to the first 5,000 users who fulfill the requirements.

Binance will distribute the rewards within 21 working days after the activity ends, and users must claim the token vouchers within 14 days of distribution.

Dogecoin Rebounds From $0.16 Lows: Could $0.19 Be Next?

Dogecoin reversal after a bearish weekend suggests a potential bounce back to $0.19, with a post-retest recovery from a falling channel pattern.

As the crypto market gradually gains bullish momentum this week, Dogecoin has risen by nearly 3% in the past 24 hours. Currently trading at $0.1705, Dogecoin holds a market cap of $25.35 billion.

However, the overall meme coin market has dropped to $48.95 billion, recording a nearly 15% decline over the past 30 days. As meme coins remain highly volatile, will the short-term recovery lead to a bounce above $0.20 in DOGE prices?

Dogecoin Price Analysis Hints Post-Retest Bounce Back

On the daily chart, Dogecoin’s price action shows a bullish breakout from a falling channel pattern. However, the recovery failed to overcome the bearish pressure at the 23.60% Fibonacci level at $0.1945.

After approaching $0.20, a tweezer top reversal triggered a four-day correction for Dogecoin. With consecutive bearish candles, Dogecoin dropped by nearly 15%.

Dogecoin Price Chart
Dogecoin Price Chart

However, this pullback may represent a potential retest of the broken falling channel pattern. Dogecoin formed a Doji candle after a lower price rejection at $0.16 on Monday.

The resurgence of bullish momentum has sparked a 2.23% intraday recovery, hinting at a potential morning star pattern formation.

Despite this, the 100- and 200-day EMA lines are approaching a negative crossover, signaling bearish pressure. Additionally, the recent short-term pullback has significantly weakened bullish momentum.

The MACD and signal lines also warn of a negative crossover as the bullish histograms decline. As a result, technical indicators still lean bearish due to the prevailing downtrend.

Elon Musk Behind the $0.16 Retest

Notably, Dogecoin’s short-term recovery reflects a swift turnaround following a recent hit from Elon Musk. The American billionaire and chairperson of the Department of Government Efficiency recently stated during a town hall meeting:

“As far as I know, there are no plans for the government to use Dogecoin or anything similar.”

This statement triggered the recent drop to $0.16. However, Dogecoin has since bounced back and is hinting at a potential recovery this week.

Key Price Levels For Dogecoin

Based on the price analysis, the post-retest reversal from the falling channel pattern is likely to challenge the 23.60% Fibonacci level at $0.1945 again. This suggests an upside potential of nearly 15%.

If the recovery extends, the uptrend could reach the 38.20% Fibonacci level at $0.22, offering a 32% bullish potential. On the other hand, a decline below the broken resistance trendline would put pressure on the $0.15 psychological support level.

Bitcoin Whale Wallets Surge to Highest Level Since December, Here’s What it Means

0

Santiment reports a 2.6% growth in Bitcoin whale wallets over the past five weeks, marking the highest level since December 2024.

This growth comes amid Bitcoin experiencing lacklusture performance in recent weeks. After hitting a low near $81K yesterday, Bitcoin is now on a recovery run, climbing back up to around $84K by April 1.

Despite the market’s volatility, positive trends have emerged, particularly in the growth of Bitcoin whale wallets. Wallets holding between 1,000 to 10,000 BTC have seen a noticeable increase, as shared by market intelligence platform Santiment.

Bitcoin Whale Wallets Are Growing

In the last five weeks, the number of these whale wallets has grown by 2.6%, reaching a total of 1,993. This marks the highest level of such wallets since December 2024.

While market conditions have been volatile, this rise in whale wallet numbers suggests that key stakeholders continue to show confidence in Bitcoin’s potential.

Long-Term Holder Confidence

Further analysis from IntoTheBlock confirms a surge in Bitcoin accumulation by large holders, which is contributing to the growing sense of stability. Over the past week, large holder inflows have increased by a dramatic 2,709.80%, with a 567.83% rise over the past 30 days.

This consistent accumulation over the last three months suggests that large holders are steadily increasing their positions despite short-term market fluctuations.

Bitcoin Exchange Inflow Volumes Stabilizing

Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s inflow volumes to exchanges have also displayed signs of stabilization. Over the past 24 hours, inflows decreased by 0.98%, pointing to a stabilization in the supply of Bitcoin moving to exchanges.

However, the 7-day and 30-day changes reveal an increase in inflows, with a 17.93% rise in the past week and a 53.22% rise over the last 30 days. These figures indicate that while more Bitcoin entered exchanges during the recent price decline, the recent influx is slowing.

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink Cautions Bitcoin is a Threat to US Dollar Dominance

0

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink has raised concerns about the potential impact of Bitcoin on the U.S. dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency.

In his annual letter, Fink highlighted the growing U.S. debt, which could undermine the dollar’s dominance.

With U.S. interest payments estimated to reach $952 billion this year and mandatory government spending consuming all federal revenue by 2030, Fink warned that continued fiscal mismanagement might lead investors to shift towards digital assets, particularly Bitcoin.

US Debt and Its Ramifications for the Dollar

The U.S. national debt has ballooned over the years, surpassing $34 trillion by early 2024 and climbing past $35 trillion by 2025. The debt surge is attributed to factors like stimulus measures during the COVID-19 pandemic, which contributed to spiraling inflation in 2022.

As inflation rose above 9%, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates at an unprecedented pace. This not only increased debt interest payments but also raised concerns about the potential for a financial “death spiral.”

According to Fink, if deficits continue to grow unchecked, the U.S. risks losing its economic edge to decentralized finance options such as Bitcoin.

Broader Industry Arguments

The belief that Bitcoin might eventually disrupt the U.S. dollar has been a recurring theme, with previous insights even dismissing the threat of digital assets.

In a January interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box, David Solomon, the CEO of Goldman Sachs, dismissed the idea that Bitcoin poses a threat to the dominance of the U.S. dollar. He emphasized his belief in the U.S. dollar’s central role in the global economy.

“I don’t see Bitcoin as a threat to the US dollar […] Bitcoin is a speculative asset, an interesting speculative asset,” Solomon remarked.

Further, a separate report from Citi Wealth explored the debate beyond Bitcoin, suggesting that stablecoins, especially those pegged to the U.S. dollar, could actually reinforce the dollar’s global dominance rather than undermine it. The report argued that dollar-backed stablecoins might increase the reliance on the U.S. dollar in the digital space.

DeFi as an Extraordinary Innovation

Meanwhile, in his recent report, Fink also addressed the dual-edged nature of decentralized finance (DeFi) and its potential implications for the U.S. economy. He acknowledged DeFi as an extraordinary innovation that enhances market efficiency by making transactions faster, more affordable, and transparent

Despite his concerns, Fink remains optimistic about the transformative potential of on-chain tokenization—the process of converting real-world assets into digital tokens on a blockchain.

He believes tokenization could revolutionize investing by enabling 24/7 trading, instant transaction settlements, and broader access to various investment opportunities.

BlackRock’s Insights on Bitcoin’s Scarcity

Notably, in early March, BlackRock issued a report outlining Bitcoin’s scarcity, which further underscores its potential appeal to investors.

Bitcoin, unlike traditional assets like gold, has an inelastic supply, meaning its issuance cannot be increased to meet demand. The cryptocurrency’s fixed supply cap of 21 million coins presents a unique value proposition.

However, the actual available supply is even smaller due to the loss of private keys, making up to 4 million Bitcoins permanently inaccessible.

This limited supply could create a supply shock if demand continues to rise, particularly among U.S. millionaires. According to BlackRock’s analysis, if every millionaire in the U.S. were to request at least one Bitcoin, the demand would exceed the available supply.

Senator Tommy Tuberville to Propose Bill Allowing 401k Investment in Bitcoin and Crypto

0

Another pro-crypto bill will be considered in Congress, with Senator Tommy Tuberville re-introducing the Financial Freedom Act.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency have been a trending topic not just among US residents but also in Congress. The lawmakers have a decision to make after Senator Cynthia Lummis reintroduced the Bitcoin Act bill, proposing that the United States acquire 1 million BTC.

Meanwhile, the latest development indicates that Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville will introduce another pro-crypto bill today. In an interview with FOX Business on March 31, he revealed that he would submit the Financial Freedom Act on April 1, looking to give Americans more liberty in their investment choice.

Bill Proposes Bitcoin’s Inclusion in Retirement Funds

Tuberville was quick to slam the Joe Biden administration for hampering clear digital asset regulations in the United States. Notably, industry leaders have suggested that the former US president implemented all possible measures to discourage the growth and adoption of Bitcoin in America.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has sought to change the narrative with his many pro-crypto proposals and executive orders. Trump termed himself the “crypto president,” pledging to make America the “undisputed Bitcoin superpower.”

To support the president’s new-found course, Tubervile revealed he would re-introduce the Financial Freedom Act. The Alabama senator noted that the bill seeks to allow Americans to invest their retirement funds in cryptocurrency.

Notably, the proposal looks to contend with the Department of Labor’s prohibition on the range of investments that 401(k) funds invest in, specifically regarding cryptocurrencies. Tuberville initially introduced the bill in the Senate in 2022 but has seen little support amid a hostile regulatory environment in the US.

While many consider cryptocurrencies too risky for retirement funds, the assets’ long-term statistics may prove otherwise. For context, Bitcoin has outperformed most traditional financial assets in the last decade, appreciating 120% in 2024. However, it is true that some crypto assets have not fared as well.

Lummis Turns on the Heat on Congress Over Bitcoin Acquisition

Meanwhile, Lummis has continued to pressure Congress to sign off on the Bitcoin Act bill, seeking to acquire more Bitcoin as a US reserve asset. In a recent tweet, she again nudged the lawmakers to pass the bill and proceed with acquisition as soon as possible.

She outlined some reasons why the US should hold Bitcoin, including the possibility that it could pay its debts with the premier asset. Furthermore, the Republican senator emphasized that a Bitcoin reserve would ensure the US dollar maintains its place as the world reserve currency.

Notably, the comment comes on the heels of a recent warning from BlackRock’s CEO, Larry Fink, that the US dollar is at risk of losing its status as the world’s reserve currency to Bitcoin.
