Crypto Founder Says XRP At $2.11 Feels Like a Walk in The Park: Here’s Why

0

A notable XRP community figure and crypto founder has maintained his optimism in XRP’s potential despite the recent price slump.

For context, as the broader market witnesses a downtrend, with the global crypto market cap losing $780 billion since February, XRP has continued to face the harsh weather. The altcoin came dangerously close to losing the $2 mark during a bearish wave on March 29. Notably, it slumped to $2.06 on this day.

However, the bulls defended the support fervently, triggering a mild recovery to around $2.1. Nonetheless, this position still represented a massively bearish zone for XRP. Despite this, Alpha Lions Academy founder Edoardo Farina has maintained his confidence in XRP’s potential.

Crypto Founder Remains Optimistic

In a recent disclosure on X, he suggested that seeing XRP at the $2.11 mark was “a walk in the park.” His statement came as the bearish atmosphere dominated the scene. Notably, Farina aimed to allay these bearish sentiments, pointing out that XRP is still on track for an explosive price growth.

The community pundit spotlighted historical context as evidence that XRP can transcend this position. He called attention to a time when XRP dropped to $0.50. Interestingly, this was not in the distant past, as XRP trades at the $0.5 level just five months ago.

For context, on Nov. 3, 2024, right before the U.S. elections, XRP collapsed to a low of $0.4918 before rebounding to close the day at $0.50. During this period, bearish discussions dominated the market, similar to the current market sentiments. At the time, XRP’s Fear and Greed Index (FGI) stood at a neutral value of 45, per CFGI.

However, amid the prevalent bearishness, XRP skyrocketed following the U.S. elections, reaching a peak of $3.4 in mid-January 2025. This marked a massive 580% increase within three months.

This historical precedent has bolstered Farina’s confidence that XRP could still recover from the ongoing drop. “I held my ground then, and I’m not worried now,” the community pundit remarked. Nonetheless, he stressed that holders who lack conviction, whom he calls “lettuce hands,” appear to be selling off their bag.

XRP to $10 Target

As a result, the market commentator insists that only a few investors will be around when XRP recovers to greater heights, with a focus on the $10 mark. Notably, Farina has repeatedly called for an XRP run to $10. Last November, he presented ten factors capable of bolstering the rally to $10.

Despite suggesting a run to $10, Farina does not see this as his ultimate target. In a December 2024 disclosure, the crypto founder asserted that those who sell their tokens when XRP hits $10 would regret the decision. With XRP trading for $2.13 at press time, a rally to $10 would require a 369% rise, lower than the 580% spike from November 2024 to January 2025.

Expert Says Only 1% Will Be Able to Afford XRP Soon: Here’s Why

Edoardo Farina, founder of Alpha Lions Academy, has again shared bold XRP predictions, warning that, soon, only 1% of investors will be able to afford XRP.

Farina’s analysis is based on current economic trends, the growing influence of financial institutions, and upcoming technological developments.

According to Farina, the global economic situation is worsening, with inflation rampant and the cost of living rising faster than wages. He points out that economic instability has been accelerating since 2019, fueled by major global events.

He stressed that people struggle to meet basic needs like food and housing. As a result, many unwillingly sell their crypto assets, including XRP, to cover daily expenses.

Furthermore, Farina highlights that the average person finds it more challenging to save money, with credit card debt and delinquency rates hitting new highs.

In his view, buying cryptocurrencies like XRP has become a luxury that people living paycheck to paycheck can no longer afford.

Essentially, retail investors are increasingly priced out of the market, leaving institutional players to take control.

Financial Giants Loading Up on XRP

As retail investors drop out, Farina noted that large financial institutions have taken advantage of the situation. He claimed that these institutions are ramping up their investments in XRP, betting on the asset’s long-term value as part of the new financial system.

Farina asserted that the order books are now five times lower than during previous bull runs. According to him, it indicates that fewer retail investors are in the market.

He speculated that this power shift could dramatically affect XRP’s supply and demand dynamics, potentially pushing its price to unprecedented heights.

The point is that with fewer holders and less liquidity on the retail side, those who still own XRP may see their assets skyrocket in value.

CBDCs and XRP’s Adoption

Farina also highlighted the growing role of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) in Europe. European CBDCs or the digital euro could roll out in 2025.

Farina believes the XRP Ledger could be a major infrastructure provider in the CBDC ecosystem. He noted that countries like Montenegro have successfully conducted tests on the XRP Ledger.

Moreover, Farina speculates that once the digital euro goes live on the XRP Ledger, XRP’s price could explode.

He drew parallels to the price surge of Stellar (XLM) when Ukraine announced plans to build a CBDC on Stellar’s blockchain last year. In parallel, he suggested that XRP holders could see similar gains with such an announcement.

Bleak Future for Retail Investors, But Hope for the Prepared Few

Farina’s overall message is that the road ahead for retail investors is difficult. However, those who hold onto their XRP may be in for extraordinary gains.

He predicts that XRP could reach $100 or even $1,000 and that the number of holders will drastically decrease by then. According to Farina, the future could be incredibly rewarding for those with the foresight to secure their XRP holdings.

Samson Mow Defends Strategy’s Bitcoin Purchase Price

0

Samson Mow, CEO of JAN3, has responded to growing criticism over Strategy’s Bitcoin purchase price.

The criticism intensified following Strategy’s acquisition of 22,048 BTC for roughly $1.92 billion at an average price of $86,969 per Bitcoin. Mow took to the X platform to argue that the focus on the purchase price is misplaced.

He emphasized that whether the price is $86,969 or $82,000 is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Mow compared the situation to the past, noting that no one questions the decision to buy Bitcoin at $8,600 rather than $8,200, illustrating that such price differences are trivial in the larger context.

Strategy’s Bitcoin Holdings

As of the latest purchase reported on March 31, Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings reached a staggering 528,185 BTC. The firm has committed around $35.63 billion at an average price of $67,458 per Bitcoin to acquire this portfolio.

This latest acquisition follows the company’s purchase of 6,911 BTC for $584.1 million, which raised its total Bitcoin holdings above 500,000 BTC.

Strategy’s Bitcoin yield has also seen positive results, with an 11.0% yield year-to-date in 2025. This performance is notable since the Bitcoin price has been fluctuating in recent weeks, even touching $77,000 around mid-March.

Funding the Bitcoin Strategy

It’s also worth noting that Strategy funded its Bitcoin acquisitions through various stock offerings. They include Class A Common Stock (MSTR), Perpetual Strike Preferred Stock (STRK), and Strife Preferred Stock (STRF). The company continues to explore additional stock issuances to finance its future Bitcoin purchases.

On March 25, 2025, Strategy offered 8.5 million units of STRF stock and raised $722.5 million. A portion of these funds went toward further Bitcoin acquisitions.

Grayscale Moves to Convert XRP and Bitcoin Large Cap Fund Into Publicly Traded ETF

Multi-billion-dollar asset manager Grayscale has filed with the U.S. SEC to convert its Digital Large Cap Fund into a publicly available exchange-traded fund (ETF).

Currently, the Digital Large Cap Fund is a private offering only accredited investors can access through private placement. However, Grayscale’s latest Form S-3 Registration Statement seeks to transform this fund into an ETF, making it accessible to everyday investors on public exchanges.

Details of The Filing

Grayscale’s DLC Fund holds top crypto assets by market capitalization, including Bitcoin, XRP, Ethereum, Cardano, and Solana. Its shares represent fractional ownership in these assets.

The shares will list on NYSE Arca under the symbol GDLC. They will be issued continuously, and investors can buy shares in blocks of 10,000 (referred to as “Baskets”) from authorized participants.

Importantly, the Fund will not engage in staking or earning additional digital assets through proof-of-stake validation.

Grayscale’s latest move aims to make crypto investments more accessible to the general public. The firm claims its fund covers approximately 75% of the total crypto asset market cap (excluding stablecoins and meme coins).

This broad coverage would enable investors to own a slice of the largest and most widely held cryptocurrencies without needing to purchase or manage them individually.

Fund Composition and Performance

The Digital Large Cap Fund is heavily weighted toward Bitcoin, which makes up 79.4% of the portfolio. Other holdings include Ethereum (10.69%), XRP (5.85%), Solana (2.92%), and Cardano (1.14%). The fund recently added Cardano in January 2025, following a rebalancing that took out Avalanche (AVAX).

Since its inception in 2018, the fund has delivered impressive returns, with a cumulative increase of 478.83%. Grayscale’s move to convert it into an ETF would allow the broader public to access this robust performance with the benefit of trading the fund on public markets.

The Broader Crypto ETF Landscape

The proposed ETF follows a wave of crypto ETF filings in the U.S., particularly after the approval of Bitcoin spot ETFs in January 2024. Ethereum ETFs soon followed, and the market now sees more experimental filings.

Among these are ETFs for cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin and even a Trump meme coin, although these have not yet secured approval.

Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor Congratulates Tether on Acquiring 8,888 Bitcoin in Q1 2025

0

Strategy’s executive chairman, Michael Saylor, congratulates leading stablecoin issuer Tether for acquiring 8,888 Bitcoin in Q1 2025.

To mark the end of Q1 2025, Tether purchased 8,888 BTC for about $735 million. The transaction occurred yesterday, March 31, 2025, at 21:58 (UTC). It increased the firm’s total Bitcoin holdings to 92,646 BTC. The dollar equivalent of Tether’s Bitcoin holdings is $7.75 billion.

Tether’s Bitcoin Holdings

Notably, the latest acquisition aligns with Tether’s strategy of acquiring Bitcoin quarterly using a portion of its net profit. After each acquisition, Tether usually moves the funds to its reserve wallet at the end of each quarter.

Following the latest transaction, Tether’s reserve wallet ranks in the sixth position among the Top 100 Richest Bitcoin addresses. This indicates that the Tether address is the sixth largest in terms of the amount of BTC held by a single blockchain wallet.

For context, Tether made its first Bitcoin purchase in September 2022. Ever since, it has embarked on a Bitcoin accumulation spree, committing 15% of its net profits to purchase BTC quarterly.

Saylor Congratulates Tether

Interestingly, Tether’s latest Bitcoin purchase attracted the attention of Strategy’s executive chairman, who congratulated the stablecoin issuer.

“Congratulations [to Tether on acquiring] 8,888 bitcoin in Q1,” Saylor remarked. The commentary suggests that Saylor considers Tether’s purchase of 8,888 BTC as a significant development worthy of recognition.

Strategy’s Bitcoin Acquisition

It is no longer news that Saylor is a major advocate for the corporate adoption of Bitcoin. He led Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) to acquire Bitcoin for its treasury.

Since the company’s first purchase in August 2020, it has grown its total Bitcoin holdings to 528,185, currently worth $44.18 billion. Strategy acquired 81,785 BTC in Q1 2025 across nine transactions.

Its most recent purchase occurred on March 31, acquiring 22,048 BTC for $1.92 billion. Unlike Tether, which uses 15% of its net profits to purchase BTC, Strategy finances its Bitcoin acquisition with proceeds from its stock offerings, such as MSTR, STRK, and STRF.

The firm has remained confident in its Bitcoin acquisition initiative, with Saylor believing that BTC would eventually reach a market cap of $500 trillion. This represents a surge of 30,020% from the current valuation of $1.66 trillion. Achieving this milestone could raise Bitcoin’s price to $23.81 million from its current value of $83,700.

Here Are Major Dogecoin Buy Zones Before Break to Upside

0

Although Dogecoin has experienced significant declines, it has seen a short-term recovery, rising 5% over the past 24 hours to trade at $0.1722.

Analysts are closely monitoring its price movements. Some anticipate that Dogecoin may experience further fluctuations before a potential upward breakout.

Dogecoin Buy Zones

On TradingView, one analyst highlighted key support levels for Dogecoin. After breaking past a resistance level, the analyst noted that a retest of the current price zone is necessary before any significant rally can occur.

The analyst outlined two major buy zones where Dogecoin might find support before potentially surging. The first green zone is set at $0.13548, and the second is at $0.09024.

If Dogecoin stabilizes at these levels, a significant upward movement could follow, possibly reaching the $0.30-$0.40 range, representing a potential price increase of 132.3% from its current price.

Meanwhile, the analyst noted that the market could see more lows than upsides, and the bear market gradually sets in.

Long-Term Channel Analysis

Meanwhile, analyst Ali Martinez also shared insights on Dogecoin’s price action. He focused on the long-term ascending channel visible on a logarithmic weekly chart dating back to 2014.

According to the analysis, Dogecoin has consistently respected the boundaries of this channel. Dogecoin is testing the lower boundary, which previously provided strong dynamic support.

Martinez predicts that if demand spikes at this level, Dogecoin could experience a rally toward the middle or upper range of the channel. From a Fibonacci retracement perspective, the price may surpass $0.45 in the short term. The analyst also noted that the midline target could exceed $2.4, while the upper resistance aligns with the $7 mark.

Possible Bullish Reversal

Elsewhere, another TradingView analyst identified a cup and handle pattern, suggesting that Dogecoin may be preparing for a potential bullish reversal. This pattern, which began forming in mid-2021 after Dogecoin’s peak, shows a large rounded bottom.

The price bottomed around $0.04 in mid-2022 and has since seen improvements, touching $0.47 in December 2024 before retracing. Currently, the handle shows signs of consolidation, which could precede an upward move. The analyst also pointed to the AB=CD harmonic pattern, suggesting a potential target price of $0.88.

Mastercard Building a Blockchain-Based Platform for Bitcoin and Crypto Transactions

0

Card services giant Mastercard is expanding its payment success to the digital asset space, looking to facilitate Bitcoin and crypto transactions.

Having made waves in traditional finance, Mastercard’s next target is helping its over 3.5 billion card users worldwide and other interested users transact crypto. A Business Insider report on Tuesday shows that the payment giant is exploring means to facilitate Bitcoin transactions among clients, merchants, and banks.

Mastercard Eyes Expansion into the Nascent Sector

Despite its recent breakthrough, processing crypto transactions is still unpopular and tedious compared to its traditional counterpart. With this in view, Mastercard is looking to tap into the endless possibilities in digital asset payments while making fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto transactions more seamless.

Raj Dhamodharan, Mastercard’s executive vice president of blockchain and digital asset products and partnerships, revealed that Mastercard aims to build a Venmo or Zelle-like crypto payment system. Notably, the two peer-to-peer payment networks are popular among users in the United States for their seamless transaction structure.

Meanwhile, Mastercard has made considerable progress in its dabble into crypto payment. For context, the firm has filed over 250 unique patents related to blockchain technology since 2015 and has supported 43 crypto startups since 2021.

Nonetheless, it intends to expand its reach by simplifying cross-border and blockchain-focused payments for TradFi. Furthermore, the credit card giant is eyeing other blockchain-based endeavors, such as real-world asset tokenization.

Mastercard Multitoken Network Central to Innovation

Notably, the Mastercard Multitoken Network (MTN) would be central to this latest conquest. Launched in 2023, the decentralized finance (DeFi) platform helps financial institutions bridge the gap between traditional and blockchain-based transactions.

Mastercard has made strategic collaborations with JPMorgan, Standard Chartered Bank, and recently, Ondo Finance to bolster the network’s utility. Nonetheless, the payment giant still requires more financial institutions to adopt MTN and key partnerships to facilitate its crypto transaction infrastructural provider plans.

Regulatory clarity is also important for Mastercard’s new plan. Dhamodharan noted that the brightening digital asset regulatory clouds in the United States and globally have bolstered crypto-related innovations.

Ethereum Down 40% Since Eric Trump’s Endorsement

0

Ethereum price has declined 40% since Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, promoted the crypto on social media.

On February 4, he posted to his 5.7 million followers that it was a “great time” to buy Ethereum. At the time of his tweet, Ethereum traded for $2,735, having recovered from a massive drop that day that saw its price hit the $2,000 lows.

However, the asset has since struggled, now trading at $1,869. Over the last 24 hours, Ethereum has recorded a slight 2.49% increase, but it remains down 9.24% for the week.

Community Backlash

The sharp decline following Trump’s statement has drawn mixed reactions from the crypto community. One community member argued that he is not a market expert and that price movements depend on fundamentals rather than individual endorsements.

Another pointed out that the situation shows how markets often react strongly to high-profile statements before stabilizing based on actual demand and utility. Meanwhile, critics have resurfaced Trump’s tweet, accusing him of using his influence irresponsibly.

World Liberty Financial’s Ethereum Holdings

It is important to note that Eric Trump’s Ethereum comments raise questions due to his ties to World Liberty Financial (WLF), a Donald Trump-inspired crypto venture with notable Ethereum holdings. As of the latest data, WLF holds 7.933K ETH, worth approximately $14.84 million at current market prices.

The consistent addition of Ethereum to their portfolio might assist the bulls during a price uptrend. However, the involvement of WLF in the crypto sector has fueled speculation about potential conflicts of interest, particularly given its governance structure.

For context, in January, Reuters suggested that Trump’s family took control of WLFI, which had previously raised $550 million by selling WLFI governance tokens. These tokens give holders voting rights over the project’s direction but cannot be traded.

Most of the token sales occurred after Donald Trump’s election win in November. Despite its high-profile fundraising, WLFI has yet to launch a public platform, leading to growing scrutiny over its long-term plans and operational transparency.

ACT and Several Other Altcoins Suddenly Crash 50% on Binance: Here’s What Happened

0

The ACT token, as well as several other altcoins, witnessed sharp slumps on Binance today, with varying speculations around the actual cause.

A dramatic event occurred on Binance at around 10:30 UTC when multiple altcoins, including Act 1: The AI Prophecy (ACT), experienced sharp price declines. Blockchain reported Colin Wu first called attention to the development.

Notably, the price of ACT/USDT plummeted by over 49% within just 30 minutes, while DEXE/USDT dropped more than 23%, and DF/USDT fell by over 16%. Several other tokens, including KAVA, HIPPO, LUMIA, TST, and BANANAS31, also suffered significant losses.

At press time, ACT still trades around $0.1, down 49% in 24 hours. Notably, these sudden crashes were primarily due to large sell orders executed in rapid succession, which triggered a surge in spot trading volume.

Speculation on the Cause of the Crash

Beniduboss, a well-known crypto trader, asserted that a bot linked to Wintermute, a major market-making firm, may have been responsible for the abrupt sell-off.

He suggested that a Wintermute bot might have malfunctioned or suffered a liquidation, causing the market crash. The analyst noted that it would be difficult for the Wintermute team to present the issue in a way that would not harm the firm’s reputation.

However, Wintermute’s CEO, Evgeny Gaevoy, dismissed this claim, clarifying that the bot in question was not from Wintermute.

Interestingly, an a16zdao partner also alleged that Wintermute was responsible for the collapse of ACT but suggested that a different whale was behind the dumps of other tokens.

Analysts Highlight Possible Triggers

Meanwhile, Vladislav, a crypto analyst, observed that Wintermute had been offloading assets from wallets where they previously acted as market makers. He suggested that either the firm had suffered a hack or something else was wrong.

Further analysis from Lookonchain, a blockchain surveillance resource, confirmed that Binance had recently adjusted the leverage and margin tiers for specific tokens, including ACT.

This led to a massive liquidation of a whale’s position, amounting to $3.79 million at a price of $0.1877. Following this event, ACT’s price continued to plunge by more than 50%, signaling a cascading effect in the market.

Further, Wu called attention to disclosures from Benson Sun, a former FTX community partner, which corroborated Lookonchain’s analysis. According to Sun, the primary catalyst behind the crash was Binance’s decision to revise the leverage position limits on ACT.

The new rules imposed a restriction where traders using 1x leverage could only open positions up to $4.5 million. As a result, several market makers who had exceeded this threshold saw their positions forcibly closed at market prices.

Notably, this abrupt liquidation led to a sharp contract price drop, which in turn created a significant disparity between the contract price and the spot price, ultimately triggering a sell-off.

Shiba Inu Vs Dogecoin: Here’s What Will Happen to SHIB Price If It Doubles DOGE Market Cap

0

If Shiba Inu doubles the market capitalization of Dogecoin, it could move close to surpassing its previous all-time high (ATH).

The rivalry between Shiba Inu and Dogecoin has elicited major discussions, with some users predicting that SHIB will flip DOGE to become the world’s largest meme coin by market cap. Notably, SHIB achieved this incredible milestone in October 2021 when it soared to an ATH of $0.00008845.

SHIB has plunged heavily from this level, currently down 85.62% from its previous ATH. Meanwhile, Shiba Inu continues to trail Dogecoin in the global meme coin ranking. While DOGE ranks in the top spot with a market cap of $25.25 billion, SHIB sits in the second position with a valuation of $7.5 billion.

Despite the wide gap, several Shiba Inu community members are confident that SHIB will flip DOGE again. Interestingly, some users have made bold predictions, noting that SHIB will overtake and double DOGE’s market cap.

Shiba Inu Price If It Doubles Dogecoin Market Cap

As this assertion gains momentum, The Crypto Basic analyzed how this feat could impact SHIB’s price should Shiba Inu double Dogecoin’s price.

Notably, Dogecoin has a market cap of $25.25 billion with a unit price of $0.1698. Shiba Inu has a market cap of $7.5 billion, putting its price at $0.00001272 per token.

Doubling Dogecoin’s market cap would translate to a significant uptick in Shiba Inu’s overall valuation. It will also position SHIB as the world’s largest meme coin, assuming DOGE does not experience similar growth.

Therefore, if Shiba Inu doubles Dogecoin’s market cap, its valuation will soar to $50.5 billion. This represents an increase of 573.33% from the current valuation of $7.5 billion. Such an astronomical surge is expected to have a significant effect on SHIB’s price.

At a market cap of $50.5 billion, SHIB would trade at $0.00008570 per token, assuming its circulating supply remains stable at 589.25 trillion. Despite this hefty surge, Shiba Inu would still be down 3.10% from its previous ATH of $0.00008845.

SHIB to $0.000085 Prediction

In the meantime, several analysts have projected Shiba Inu’s potential surge to the $0.000085 price mark. Last year, top market analyst Xanrox called investors’ attention to a buying opportunity around the Fibonacci 0.618 level, forecasting a surge to a target price of $0.00008588.

In June 2024, TradingView analyst Esmaei Baiki predicted a surge to the $0.000085 mark if it breaks out from a bull flag. Meanwhile, Changelly experts predict a potential timeline for SHIB to soar to the $0.000085 target.

According to Changelly experts, SHIB will clinch this target by November 2028, with Shiba Inu expected to trade at a maximum price of $0.0000858 by then.

The Telegaon prediction platform predicts that the $0.000085 target will become a reality by 2026. It projects that SHIB will hit a maximum target of $0.0000943 next year.

While Telegaon expects SHIB to hit the $0.000085 target as early as next year, the token may achieve this milestone earlier or much later than projected. Therefore, investors should not consider this article as financial advice.

However, several factors, such as widespread SHIB adoption and other positive ecosystem developments like increased SHIB burns, could pave the way for Shiba Inu’s recapture of the $0.000085 target.
