Donald Trump’s Family Ventures Into Bitcoin Mining With Hut8 Partnership

0

Donald Trump’s eldest sons have further deepened their ties with the nascent crypto sector with a quest into Bitcoin mining.

A Wall Street Journal exposition confirmed the recent venture by the Donald Trump family. Specifically, the enterprise involved Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, the eldest sons of the US president.

The two brothers will invest in American Bitcoin, a company focused on mining Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, in collaboration with Hut8, a Miami-based energy infrastructure and crypto miner.

Trump’s Sons Launch New Business Entity

In February, Eric and Donald Trump Jr. rebranded Dominari, a small investment firm, to American Data Centre after the enterprise announced the duo would join their advisory board. A little over a month later, the newly launched firm is collaborating with Hut8, one of the largest North American-based miners in the country.

On Monday, the WSJ reported that the two firms formed an alliance, rebranding American Data Centre to America Bitcoin. Hut8 would hold 80% of the new firm, with the Trump sons settling with 20%.

Meanwhile, the new enterprise would leverage over 61,000 machines supplied by Hut8 to mine Bitcoin, aiming to become a powerhouse in the sector. However, unlike most miners, the firm is focused on creating new batches of the premier asset for its strategic reserve.

Notably, the president’s sons disclosed that the miner operates as a separate entity from the Trump Organization, an empire built by the real-estate mogul. Furthermore, American Bitcoin is unrelated to the recent executive order that President Trump signed to create a Bitcoin stockpile in the United States.

Trump Family Expands Crypto Purview

Since adopting a friendly stance towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, Trump and his family have relentlessly increased exposure to the industry. First, the president promised to make America the crypto capital of the world, attracting funding and support from the sector.

Furthermore, Trump and his sons launched World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance enterprise that vowed to disrupt the traditional banking system. Meanwhile, the family recently announced plans to launch a crypto exchange-traded fund (ETF) and issue stablecoins.

Donald Trump Jr. reiterated the family’s unwavering support for the industry. He noted that while buying Bitcoin is just half the story, mining the premier asset opens up further opportunities for the enterprise and the American people.

Eric Trump will serve as American Bitcoin’s chief strategy officer, while Matt Prusak, Hut8’s former chief commercial officer, will be its CEO. Moreover, he revealed that the miner plans to go public in the future.

Strategy Splashes $2B to Acquire Another 22,048 Bitcoin

0

Leading business intelligence firm Strategy has grown its Bitcoin holdings by splashing nearly $2 billion to purchase an additional 22,048 BTC.

Michael Saylor, Strategy’s executive chairman, announced the company’s latest Bitcoin acquisition in a tweet today.

Latest Purchase

According to the announcement, Strategy spent $1.92 billion to purchase 22,048 BTC. The company acquired each BTC for an aggregate cost of $86,969, including the transaction fees and other expenses relating to the acquisition.

Notably, it made the purchase last week, from March 24 to March 30, 2025. Strategy funded the Bitcoin purchase using the proceeds from its offerings of Class A Common Stock (MSTR), Perpetual Strike Preferred Stock (STRK), and Strife Preferred Stock (STRF).

Strategy’s Bitcoin Holding

Following the latest acquisition, Strategy holds a total of 528,185 BTC at press time, further positioning itself as the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder. It acquired the Bitcoins at a cumulative cost of $35.63 billion, each costing about $67,458.

However, the value of Strategy’s Bitcoin portfolio has grown significantly. With Bitcoin currently trading at $82,655, Strategy’s Bitcoin holding is worth approximately $43.66 billion. This suggests that the company is currently sitting on a profit of about $8.03 billion.

Furthermore, Strategy’s BTC yield is up 11% since the beginning of the year. This indicates that the value of Strategy’s Bitcoin stash has surged by 11% this year alone despite the market witnessing massive turbulence within this timeframe.

Bitcoin Buying Spree

The latest purchase comes a week after Strategy acquired 6,911 BTC for $584.1 million, taking its total Bitcoin holdings above the 500,000 mark. Despite holding a substantial amount of about 528,185 BTC, Strategy does not plan to slow down on its acquisition spree.

The company remains open to issuing more stock to fund additional Bitcoin purchases in the future. On March 25, 2025, it commenced the sale of 8.5 million units of STRF stocks. At the time, Strategy disclosed that it intends to raise $722.5 million, with parts of the proceeds used to purchase more BTC.

Strategy’s continued purchase of Bitcoin reflects its confidence in the premier asset, which Saylor believes will eventually reach a market cap of $500 trillion.

Market Specialist Predicts Timeline for XRP to Reach $3.8 Again

0

A prominent market specialist has predicted a possible timeline for XRP to reclaim its all-time high despite the ongoing bearish phase.

This recent prediction, which came from analyst EGRAG Crypto, cites historical data from XRP’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) chart. Interestingly, EGRAG’s projection hinges on the assumption that XRP often claims two price peaks during bull runs.

XRP Often Sees Two Peaks

According to the analysis, the second peak occurs weeks after the first one and typically represents greater heights when compared to the first peak.

Notably, the recent commentary comes as XRP continues to battle bearish pressure, now changing hands at the lower ends of the $2 psychological mark.

As the bearishness persists, especially after the drop from the $3.4 yearly peak in January, EGRAG believes a second top will likely occur, possibly exceeding the current all-time high. However, to ascertain when this second peak will materialize, the market commentator leveraged historical patterns from XRP’s RSI on the monthly chart.

Historical XRP RSI Data

While the momentum indicator often highlights changes in XRP’s price movements, EGRAG also indicates when XRP peaks will occur during a bull run.

According to him, the RSI typically collapses after the first XRP bull run peak and skyrockets again when the second peak occurs. This trend occurred during the 2017 and 2021 bull runs, and EGRAG is confident that this historical context can serve as a reliable indicator for when XRP will hit its second peak in this bull run.

XRP Monthly RSI EGRAG Crypto
XRP Monthly RSI | EGRAG Crypto

Particularly, in 2017, the monthly RSI soared to 95 when XRP hit an initial peak of $0.3988 in June. As the price pulled back and consolidated, the RSI also dropped to the 66 level in September and remained within this range for three months. This resulted in XRP reaching the second peak of $3.8 in January 2018, or 91 days later.

Similarly, during the 2021 bull run, XRP first hit a peak of $0.79 in November 2020, with the Rain rising to 65. However, as it dropped 67% in December, coinciding with the SEC’s lawsuit against Ripple, the RSI also crashed to 47.24. XRP eventually recovered to a second peak of $1.96 in April 2021, but this occurred after four months or 120 days.

Timeline for XRP to Hit Second Peak?

Interestingly, XRP’s monthly RSI has again crashed to the 66 range, as was the case in 2017, amid the ongoing correction. For context, when prices soared to the initial peak of $3.4 in mid-January, the RSI had spiked to 84. With the recent drop, EGRAG believes history is repeating.

Citing this historical precedent, the analyst believes XRP’s RSI would spend around 90 to 120 days in bearish territories before it recovers, pushing XRP to the second peak. This suggests that XRP could witness a run to its second peak in May or June 2025.

While EGRAG failed to predict any price for the second top during this analysis, he had, in previous times, suggested that XRP could hit $27. Earlier this month, he projected that XRP could run to $27, citing what he termed the Kangaroo phase.

Meanwhile, XRP currently trades for $2.07, down 3% in March. Market analyst Dom pointed out that the $2.2 mark, which previously served as support, has flipped to resistance. According to him, the structure remains bearish untill XRP turns this level back to support.

From Rivals to Friends: Cardano Founder Sheds Light on Relationship with Ripple

0

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson reveals a significant shift in his relationship with former competitors, including Ripple.

Hoskinson featured in a recent interview on the Wolf of All Streets podcast, where he discussed various crypto-related topics, ranging from Cardano’s growth to his engagement with former competitors like Ripple.

Hoskinson Now Friends with Ripple

The Cardano founder revealed that he is now friends with many crypto stakeholders he previously considered competitors. Interestingly, Hoskinson mentioned that he is in direct communication with Ripple and its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse.

Recall that Hoskinson previously had a hostile relationship with Ripple and the broader XRP community due to controversies surrounding the ETHGate allegations. The allegation suggests that the Ethereum team established relationships with certain SEC officials to give ETH an edge over rival projects like XRP.

Some XRP enthusiasts highlighted this relationship as the reason the SEC sued Ripple in December 2020. Hoskinson’s denial of these allegations led to a war of words between the Cardano and XRP communities.

However, Hoskinson made a remarkable move to end the dispute by apologizing to XRP enthusiasts and proposing a partnership between Cardano and Ripple. Ever since, he has been in communication with Ripple execs like Garlinghouse and CTO David Schwartz.

His continued communication with Garlinghouse could create an avenue for a partnership between Cardano and Ripple.

Hoskinson Seeks RLUSD Launch on Cardano

In a separate interview with David Gokhshtein, host of the Gokhshtein Podcast, Hoskinson said he is currently in discussions with Ripple to integrate its stablecoin (RLUSD) onto Cardano’s blockchain. This is not the first time that Hoskinson has revealed interest in RLUSD.

The stablecoin debuted on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ethereum in December 2024. It currently has a market cap of $193.73 million.

Notably, Ripple plans to expand RLUSD’s availability to other top blockchains. With Hoskinson currently discussing the launch of RLUSD on Cardano with Ripple, the company might debut the stablecoin on the network soon.

Cardano Growth

Meanwhile, Hoskinson shed light on Cardano’s rapid growth, emphasizing that the total value locked (TVL) on the blockchain has been increasing by 100% yearly.

Additionally, he mentioned that the number of dApps and transaction volume also experienced significant upticks year over year (YoY).

Further, he said Cardano has been operating 24/7 for seven years with zero downtime, which showcases its stability, robustness, and reliability.

Analyst Says Dogecoin at Strong Support with Targets Up to $7

0

Market analyst Ali Martinez’s chart shows Dogecoin testing key support in a long-term channel, with three potential rebound targets.

Dogecoin (DOGE) has joined other top-cap crypto assets in a notable market downturn, slipping well below the $0.40 level seen in January. As of today, Dogecoin trades at $0.1645, recording a -4.04% drop over the last 24 hours and a -6.23% decline in the past week.

The memecoin’s downward trend has been consistent, mirroring broader market behavior, but some analysts are now highlighting major technical indicators that suggest a shift in momentum may be approaching.

Dogecoin Long-Term Channel Structure

One of these observations centers on Dogecoin’s behavior within a long-term ascending channel visible on a logarithmic weekly price chart dating back to 2014. Ali Martinez’s chart features three critical trendlines—bottom, mid, and top—forming a structured channel that DOGE has historically respected.

Notably, Dogecoin is currently at the lower boundary of this channel. The analyst observes that this level has acted as strong dynamic support in past cycles, typically leading to a bounce in price.

“A spike in demand here could fuel a rally toward the mid or upper range,” Martinez suggested.

From a Fibonacci retracement standpoint, a rebound from the current range may push the price past $0.45 in the short term. Beyond that, the midline target lies above $2.4, while the upper resistance aligns with the $7 mark, which corresponds to the 1.414 Fibonacci extension level.

Potential Year-Four Rally For DOGE

Meanwhile, another analyst has drawn attention to Dogecoin’s cyclical price behavior, particularly in the fourth year of previous market cycles.

By aligning historical monthly charts from 2017 and 2021 with the current cycle, the analyst marks a phase near the end of a defined range, represented by adjusted green and red lines. In both earlier cycles, Dogecoin exhibited notable upward movement after entering this range.

According to this perspective, the upward movement may begin as early as next month. However, the analyst adds that an immediate surge is not guaranteed, though the likelihood of significant momentum could increase as the year progresses.

In both past fourth-year cycles, Dogecoin ended the year at approximately 37 times its starting price. Applying this historical trend, the analysis points to a potential daily closing price of $11.71 on December 31, 2025.

Shiba Inu Price Cracks 78.6% Fibonacci Level: Is a Crash to $0.000010 Ahead?

Shiba Inu drops below $0.00001250, signaling a crucial breakdown of the Fibonacci support level. Could this lead to a crash toward the $0.000010 psychological mark?

As the crypto market faces a sudden surge in supply, the market capitalization of the meme coin segment drops to $46.97 billion. Amid the crashing meme coin prices, Dogecoin witnessed a pullback of 3.89%, and Shiba Inu is down by 3.81% over the past 24 hours.

With a 7-day drop of 7.12%, Shiba Inu is currently trading at a market price of $0.00001220. Will this correction phase drop the SHIB meme coin price to $0.000010 psychological support?

SHIB Price Analysis Warns Steeper Correction Ahead

The Shiba Inu price action reveals a bullish failure to sustain dominance above the $0.000015 psychological mark. With a 7-day high at $0.00001566, the meme coin takes a sudden nose dive.

Shiba Inu Price Chart
Shiba Inu Price Chart

The correction phase now accounts for a 20% pullback over the past five days. The downfall has breached the 78.60% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.00001232.

Currently, the 4-hour price candle reveals a minor recovery of 0.88% as a potential retest of the broken support level. With a higher price rejection, the meme coin will likely retest the previous swing low near $0.00001150.

Due to the intense pullback, the 50 and 100 EMA lines have regained negative alignment with the bearish crossover. Furthermore, the pullback prolongs the declining trend in the MACD and signal lines.

As the bearish histogram resurfaces, the momentum indicators support the possibility of an extended correction. Hence, the technical indicators maintain a bearish viewpoint on Shiba Inu.

Whales Add 1.33 Trillion SHIB in 30 Days

Over the past month, despite the increased volatility in Shiba Inu’s market price, whale holdings have continued to rise. With a surge of 1.54%, the balance of holdings between 1 trillion and 10 trillion Shiba Inu tokens has increased from 153.78 trillion to 155.11 trillion SHIB tokens.

This marks a significant surge of 1.33 trillion SHIB tokens, indicating increased support.

Shiba Inu Futures Witness Positive Flip in Funding Rates

Amid the declining Shiba Inu prices, traders’ interest in Shiba Inu futures has seen a significant decline. Open interest is down by 5.32% at $120.81 million.

Shiba Inu Derivatives
Shiba Inu Derivatives

Additionally, the long-to-short ratio is gradually becoming more bearish, now standing at 0.9139, which reflects an increasing number of bearish positions.

However, the recent flip in the open interest-weighted funding rate has reached 0.065%, reflecting a growing willingness among traders to pay the premium and hold long positions. This suggests the market is anticipating a potential bullish reversal.

Shiba Inu Price Targets

As Shiba Inu’s price breaks below the 78.6% Fibonacci level, the downtrend is likely to test the previous swing low, which is near the $0.00001150 crucial support.

Based on the Fibonacci levels, the next bearish extension will likely test the $0.000010 psychological mark at the 1.272 Fibonacci level, indicating a significant downside risk of nearly 15%.

On a bullish note, a leverage-driven short-term recovery in Shiba Inu could retest the 61.8% Fibonacci level at $0.000012967.

Elon Musk Says D.O.G.E. Agency Has Nothing to do With Dogecoin

0

In a recent town hall meeting in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Elon Musk clarified the confusion surrounding the Department of Government Efficiency and its connection to Dogecoin.

Despite the similar name, Musk emphasized that the government has no intention of using Dogecoin or any cryptocurrency.

Name Inspired by Online Suggestions

He explained that the naming choice was inspired by online suggestions and was designed to make the department’s focus on improving government efficiency more engaging. Musk noted that while the names resemble each other, the department’s goal is simply to enhance government operations by 15%.

Meanwhile, the department’s website briefly showcased the Dogecoin mascot earlier this year, sparking rumors about a crypto connection. However, Musk firmly dismissed any such link, stating that the focus remains on boosting efficiency within federal agencies, not on promoting digital currencies.

Dogecoin in Ghibli Style

Recall that Elon Musk recently made waves in the Dogecoin community once more after posting a parody image inspired by The Lion King, crafted in the distinctive Ghibli animation style.

The image featured the Shiba Inu, Dogecoin’s iconic mascot, held aloft in a nod to the famous scene from the animated film. Following Musk’s tweet, the price of DOGE saw a notable 14% increase over the past week, pushing the crypto closer to a key resistance point of $0.21.

D.O.G.E. Cuts and Controversy

The launch of the Department of Government Efficiency has been met with significant controversy, especially following layoffs and drastic cuts to funding in key areas. Affected agencies include the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the Social Security Administration (SSA).

These cuts primarily target climate change programs, scientific research, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Notably, many of the government employees laid off have filed lawsuits challenging their dismissal, with some courts ordering their reinstatement.

Despite these actions, Musk and his team downplayed the impact of the cuts. According to Musk, a small percentage of the government workforce has been affected, with many leaving voluntarily through buyouts. He assured the public that most employees have not been fired. The department claims to have saved Americans $130 billion so far, equating to roughly $807 per taxpayer.

Here is When the Real Alt Season Will Begin According to These Analysts

0

Well-known market analysts have taken to X to project when the real alt season will begin, citing Bitcoin dominance trends.

Despite Bitcoin reaching multiple all-time highs, many prominent altcoins have yet to surpass their previous cycle peaks. This divergence marks a shift from earlier bull markets, where altcoins typically surged alongside Bitcoin.

However, analysts are now focusing on Bitcoin dominance levels and the potential for an “Alt season” as the market begins to show new signs of movement.

Bitcoin Dominance at Critical Threshold

It is important to note that Bitcoin dominance tracks Bitcoin’s market capitalization as a percentage of the total crypto market cap. Recent charts, such as one from analyst Rekt Capital, highlight a massive resistance level for Bitcoin dominance at around 71%.

Historically, when Bitcoin dominance approaches this level, it has faced difficulties surpassing it. If the dominance fails to break past this resistance, the analyst suggests it could potentially lead to the onset of alt season.

Bitcoin Dominance 1M Chart Rekt Capital

For the uninitiated, alt season, or altcoin season, refers to a phase where altcoins outperform Bitcoin, drawing attention from investors and traders.

Notably, an ascending trendline drawn from 2023 to 2025 shows that Bitcoin dominance is currently on an uptrend. This trendline suggests that, for now, Bitcoin is gaining market share.

RSI Indicator Points to Potential Shift to Alt Season

Further supporting the possibility of an alt season is the Relative Strength Index (RSI), a tool used to gauge the relative strength of Bitcoin dominance.

An analysis from another market analyst Mister Crypto shows that, in previous cycles, Bitcoin dominance peaked in 2017, 2021, and 2025, marking key turning points in the market.

The RSI readings from these peaks show overbought zones, which have been followed by reversals in the past. As of now, Bitcoin dominance is experiencing rising momentum, but it is approaching an overbought state.

This means that the dominance retreat could be followed by a change in dynamics and altcoins overtaking Bitcoin.

Cycles and Patterns Suggest Repetition

Using another detailed view of Bitcoin dominance, “Master of Crypto” also supports the possibility of a potential alt season. His observations highlight the cyclical nature of Bitcoin dominance, with each cycle lasting approximately 1221 days, or roughly 3.34 years.

Bitcoin Dominance Cycle Master of Crypto
Bitcoin Dominance Cycle | Master of Crypto

Note that this period coincides with similar volatilities that were witnessed in 2017 and 2021, when Bitcoin dominance ranged at 70%. According to the chart, in 2025 Bitcoin may trade similar to 2021, with dominance reaching 70% before it drops again.

Top Analyst Says Be Careful with Dogecoin: Here’s Why

0

A notable TradingView analyst has warned Dogecoin holders, particularly the bears, to “be careful” as a potential bullish pattern forms.

Dogecoin (DOGE) has seen a substantial price drop over the past week, reflecting broader market concerns. The memecoin experienced a 6.7% decline from a weekly high near $0.20 to a low approaching $0.16.

Over a 24-hour period, the price further decreased by 4.0%, while the 30-day change stands at a more substantial 20% drop. Despite this decline, analysts are exploring potential signals for a market reversal, citing technical patterns that could point to a future price surge.

“Be Careful” with Dogecoin

Among the technical patterns drawing attention is the cup and handle formation, identified by analyst “Cobra Vanguard” on TradingView. The chart indicates a large, rounded bottom structure, which began in mid-2021 following DOGE’s peak. This rounded shape suggests long-term accumulation and a market recovery after a significant drop.

DOGE 1-month Price Charge
DOGE 1-month Price Charge

Notably, the cup bottom was around $0.04 in mid-2022. Meanwhile, the price has since improved to touch $0.47 in December 2024 before retracing, forming the handle.

Currently, the handle is showing signs of consolidation before an uptick. Additionally, the AB=CD harmonic pattern, another crucial technical element, mirrors the previous price rise, suggesting a potential target price of $0.88.

Essentially, the analyst is urging market participants not to be overly bearish about DOGE amid the current dip, as the price action could reverse, potentially catching short-sellers off guard.

Ascending Channel Provides Support

A separate analysis from Ali Martinez highlights Dogecoin’s price movement within a long-term ascending channel. The channel consists of three trend lines that represent the lower, mid, and upper boundaries. Notably, DOGE’s price has historically respected the lower trendline, bouncing off this dynamic support to move higher.

Currently, Dogecoin is testing this lower boundary, which suggests a potential upward reversal. If this support level holds, the price could regain momentum. According to Martinez’s analysis, the Fibonacci retracement levels offer a bullish target as high as $7.

Key Levels to Watch for Sustained Recovery

Another analyst, ‘readCrypto,’ has pointed out crucial price levels that Dogecoin must reclaim in order to sustain any recovery. The first critical level is $0.1895, a resistance point early this month.

After dropping below this level on March 9, DOGE recovered but fluctuated around it. A decisive move above this level would be essential for a sustained recovery.

Large Shiba Inu Holders Amass 631B+ SHIB in 3 Days as Positive Flows Recover Despite Price Slump

0

Large Shiba Inu holders appear to have resumed accumulation, adding a substantial amount of SHIB over the last three days despite the price slump.

The broader crypto market has not fared well in recent times, and Shiba Inu has been one of the victims of this downturn despite relative resilience. The meme coin has slumped 7.27% over the past week, with a 3.73% drop in the last 24 hours.

This bearish pressure has been consistent since March 27, as SHIB has witnessed four consecutive intraday losses for the second time this month. With a 3% drop this morning, the asset is on track to secure a fifth consecutive intraday loss for the first time since January.

Large Shiba Inu Holders Amass 631B+ in 3 Days

However, it appears large Shiba Inu holders are unbothered by the latest losses. Notably, these investors witnessed massive net outflows on March 26 and 27 as the latest bearish pressure began. However, since then the tables have turned, with large holders persistently adding to their bags.

Since March 28, large Shiba Inu holders have witnessed positive netflows, suggesting that inflows have outpaced outflows within this period. Particularly, IntoTheBlock data shows that these addresses, holding at least 0.1% of SHIB’s circulating supply, amassed 165.51 billion tokens on Friday, March 28.

This accumulation trend spilled into the next day, with these addresses copping an extra 148.6 billion SHIB on March 29. Further, they stepped up their game on March 30, accumulating 317.63 billion SHIB. Cumulatively, these large Shiba Inu holders have amassed 631.74 billion SHIB tokens worth over $7.58 million in the past three days.

Positive Netflows Resume

In an interesting twist, outflows from these addresses have continued to drop even as inflows spike. As a result, netflows have been positive within these past three days.

Specifically, from March 28 to 30, large Shiba Inu holders have seen 276.28 billion worth $3.3 million in positive netflows. Notably, the bulk of these net inflows, amounting to 206.93 billion SHIB, occurred yesterday, March 30, despite Shiba Inu’s price crash.

Further data from IntoTheBlock confirms this accumulation trend but indicates that smaller investors are also adding to their balance. In particular, investors holding between 10 million and 100 billion SHIB, and those holding 10 trillion to 100 trillion tokens had a balance of 266.36 trillion SHIB on March 28. This balance is now 266.6 trillion tokens, marking an increase of 240 billion SHIB within this period.

This trend will likely prevent steeper declines for SHIB especially if buying pressure supersedes selling pressure in the near term. Meanwhile, Shiba Inu currently changes hands at $0.00001201 at press time, down by a massive 43% year-to-date, but up 16% since November 2024.
