Can Dogecoin Overcome the Falling Wedge to Hit $0.27785?

Dogecoin struggles to break beyond the falling wedge pattern on the daily chart. Will the prevailing downtrend undermine its chances of recovering to $0.27785?

As Bitcoin hangs near the $84,000 mark, Dogecoin witnesses an intraday pullback of 3.55%. Currently, the biggest meme coin, with a market cap of $24.99 billion, is trading at $0.1682.

As Dogecoin struggles for a breakout rally, the 24-hour pullback warns of a new downswing. Will this result in a pullback to the $0.10 psychological mark? Let’s find out.

Dogecoin Struggles To Break Falling Wedge

On the daily chart, Dogecoin’s price action reveals a declining trend gaining momentum. The bearish influence has resulted in a falling wedge pattern, coiling up the trend momentum.

Within this bearish pattern, the short-term recovery in Dogecoin faces resistance at the confluence of the overhead trendline and the 23.60% Fibonacci level at $0.1781. However, following a 4.77% pullback yesterday, Dogecoin failed to break above the high supply area, signaling a bullish failure.

Currently, the bearish pullback suggests the potential for an extension, as Dogecoin experienced a higher price rejection at the 24-hour high of $0.1714. Despite the possibility of a steep correction, the MACD and signal lines maintain a positive alignment.

However, the sudden decline in the intensity of bullish histograms warns of a potential bearish reversal. Meanwhile, the short-term recovery in the RSI continues to hover between the oversold boundary and the halfway line, suggesting that, despite the recovery, the bearish pressure remains stronger, according to the RSI.

Analyst Signals Potential 16% Upswing in DOGE

Despite the growing uncertainty surrounding Dogecoin, crypto analyst Ali Martinez maintains a positive outlook. The analyst points out an ascending triangle pattern on the hourly price chart.

According to Martinez, a bullish breakout above the $0.177 resistance could trigger a rally. Based on this triangle pattern, the analyst anticipates a 16% price move upon breakout.

Dogecoin Price Targets

Based on Fibonacci levels, the short-term pullback in Dogecoin could test the $0.0895 level if the downtrend continues, signaling a potential breakdown below the $0.10 mark.

However, if short-term consolidation near the overhead trendline occurs, a breakout could follow, especially if the broader market stabilizes. A successful breakout could result in a price surge to the 50% Fibonacci level at $0.27785.

Trump’s USAID Overhaul Could Include Blockchain for Increased Transparency

0

The President Donald Trump administration is reportedly considering the use of blockchain technology in USAID procurement.

From placing staff on administrative leave to massive layoffs, it is clear that the Trump administration intends to implement significant changes at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Now, recent reports suggest that this plan may include blockchain technology.

On Wednesday, March 19, POLITICO reported that Trump administration officials have crafted a proposal to bolster USAID’s efficiency to better advance the U.S. foreign policy agenda and counter China’s foreign policy advances, citing a 13-page memo reportedly circulating within the agency.

Among other things, the memo proposes changing the agency’s name to the U.S. Agency for International Humanitarian Assistance (IHA), placing the agency under the oversight of the Secretary of State, and utilizing blockchain technology in its procurement processes.

The memo claims that this move will make the process more performance-based by significantly improving security, transparency, and traceability.

Meanwhile, the memo did not specify whether this will leverage cryptocurrencies for payments or simply use a blockchain to track cash flows.

The memo comes as Elon Musk, head of the Trump administration-established Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.), has long toyed with the idea of putting some government processes onto the blockchain.

In January, speculation that the Tesla boss was considering the Movement blockchain for this purpose sent its native token, MOVE, soaring.

Nonetheless, USAID changes, like those proposed in the recent memo, including efforts to leverage blockchain in procurements, will likely require Congressional approval, as the memo itself admits.

Getting Congressional approval, however, could prove difficult, as Republicans hold only a narrow majority.

CryptoQuant Says Bitcoin Bull Score at 2-Year Low of 20: Here’s What It Means for Prices

0

Insights from on-chain analytical provider CryptoQuant highlight a 2-year Bitcoin Bull Score low, raising concerns over the cycle’s continuity.

After a meteoric surge to $87,482 yesterday amid bullish macroeconomic factors, Bitcoin has tilted downwards again. The premier crypto asset surged 6% between Wednesday and early Thursday but has corrected 4% from the price high as the market cools from the FOMC meeting enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, at the current market price, Bitcoin is 23% away from its January 20 all-time high of $109,312 and has shown intense price weakness recently. A Thursday commentary from CryptoQuant elaborates on what this means for the largest cryptocurrency by market cap and the crypto bull market.

Is the Bull Market Over?

The market analytical provider highlighted that while corrections of this nature occur during bull cycles, this season’s steep decline comes with other bearish indicators. Notably, the firm had earlier fronted this claim, citing the Bull-Bear Market Cycle (BBMC) indicator and the Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) ratio.

This time, CryptoQuant analyzed the Bitcoin market using the Bull Score Index, a metric that tracks the potency of a cycle using scores ranging from 0 to 100. The parameter combines ten key market indicators, including network activity, investor profitability, liquidity, and demand, with higher scores signaling a bullish market environment.

Notably, Bitcoin’s currency Bull Score Index stands at 20, the lowest since January 2023. Such an underwhelming score indicates weak market conditions, suggesting the recent downside might actually be a bearish trend rather than a near-term correction.

Bitcoin Below Bullish Threshold

The analysis highlighted that historically, the average score for a strong bullish market continuation is 60. An accompanying chart showing Bitcoin’s price action in relationship with the index indicates that the pioneering cryptocurrency only has sustained price uptrends when the score is above 60.

Bitcoin Bull Score Index | CryptoQuant

Moreover, a prolonged trend below 40 has usually marked the emergence of a bear market. For perspective, Bitcoin’s Bull Score Index wallowed below the threshold for most of 2022 and early 2023, correlating to the bearish trends.

Hence, analysts at CryptoQuant inferred that if Bitcoin continues its recent trend for an extended period, the asset could enter full bearish territory as seen in previous cycles. Interestingly, the firm’s CEO, Ki Young Ju, had earlier claimed that the crypto bull cycle was over.

Bulls Makes Case for Cycle’s Nascency

Nonetheless, bulls have remained unmoved despite recent price weakness. In fact, prominent market analyst Sam Price insisted that Bitcoin is closer to its bottom than its cyclical price peak.

The analyst cited five key indications to back his claims: the Bitcoin Pi Cycle, macro price swings, hidden bullish divergence, RSI, and the Fear and Greed Index.

Moreover, Ali Martinez’s analysis also indicates that there are still hopes of a bull cycle continuity. However, Bitcoin must quickly swing from bearish territory to reclaim $93,700.

Ethereum Targets $2,529 as Exchange Supply Hits 10-Year Low

Ethereum is poised for a bullish comeback, with a potential post-retest reversal and declining supply on exchanges. Could this lead to an ETH price of $2,529?

Ethereum, currently trading at $1,970, is back under the $2,000 mark. The 24-hour pullback of 1.92% comes as a retest of a range breakout.

Amid this pullback, the increased movement of Ethereum tokens in the market signals a potential surge in volatility. With the growing uncertainties, could a post-retest reversal in Ethereum push its price past the $2,100 mark?

Declining Supply Hints Demands Surge in Ethereum

The short-term recovery in Ethereum toward the $2,000 mark has led to an increased outflow from crypto exchanges. According to crypto analyst Ali Martinez, 360,000 ETH tokens have been withdrawn from exchanges in the past 48 hours.

This has reduced the ETH supply on exchanges to 8.97 million. With the decreasing supply and the growing number of DeFi staking options, Santiment reports that the current ETH supply on exchanges is the lowest it’s been in the past 10 years, since November 2015.

This marks a 16.4% reduction in the ETH available on exchanges compared to the past seven weeks.

Whale Activity Brings Old Coins Back to Market

As the supply on exchanges continues to decline, whale activity in the crypto market has risen.

According to a recent tweet by LookOnChain, a whale has withdrawn 8,313 ETH tokens worth $16.52 million from Binance. The whale currently holds 11,198 ETH tokens worth $22.06 million.

On the other hand, another giant whale has made a significant move, entering the market after eight years to deposit 34,125 ETH, worth $67.2 million, on Coinbase. The deposit occurred at an average price of nearly $1,970.

In March 2017, the whale, identified as 0x086, accumulated these ETH tokens from various exchanges like Bitfinex, Shapeshift, Binance, and Changelly, at an average price of $46.3.

If the whale intends to sell, they could realize a profit of $65.66 million, marking a massive 4,156% return on investment.

Outflow Season Continues For Ethereum ETFs

On March 20, the daily total net outflow of Ethereum ETFs stood at $12.41 million. BlackRock led the outflows with $8.96 million, followed by Fidelity with $3.45 million. Meanwhile, the rest of the ETFs maintained a net zero flow.

The outflow season continued, marking the 12th consecutive day of outflows since March 5. This ongoing outflow season, which began on February 20, has only seen one day of inflow on March 4, amounting to $14.58 million.

Ethereum Analysis Points Price Target at $2,529

With the supply on exchanges declining, Ethereum’s price action suggests a potential comeback. In the 4-hour price chart, the current pullback in Ethereum from the overhead resistance at $2,076 is likely a retest of a range breakout.

Ethereum Price Chart
Ethereum Price Chart

As Ethereum remains above the $1,950 mark, the chances of a post-retest reversal are still in play. However, the pullback has resulted in a negative crossover between the MACD and signal lines.

Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains above the halfway mark despite falling from the overbought boundary. This indicates a decline in bullish momentum, yet the overall uptrend keeps the outlook optimistic.

In the case of a bullish reversal, Ethereum is likely to break above the $2,076 resistance level, increasing the chances of reaching the $2,529 target. On the downside, the crucial support level below $1,950 is at $1,850.

Large Shiba Inu Transaction Volume Spikes 197% to 7.49T SHIB as Price Retests $0.000013

0

Shiba Inu has observed a massive spike in large transaction volume, reaching a peak last witnessed over a month ago.

This surge came on the back of a rebound from the meme coin, which saw it recover Tuesday’s losses. For context, SHIB recorded an impressive 3.03% increase on March 19 amid the SEC’s decision to drop its appeal in the Ripple case, essentially offsetting the 3.09% intraday loss on Tuesday, March 18.

The rebound push spilled into the next day, with Shiba Inu retesting the resistance at $0.000013 before retracing. Interestingly, this upward push coincided with a rise in whale transaction volume in the Shiba Inu market.

Large Shiba Inu Transactions Spike 197% to 7.49T SHIB

According to data from IntoTheBlock (ITB), large Shiba Inu transactions worth at least $100,000 saw a considerable spike yesterday, March 20, as SHIB retested $0.000013 for the first time after dropping below the psychological price mark earlier this week.

These transactions increased to 7.49 trillion SHIB worth more than $97 million at the $0.000013 price. Notably, this figure represents a 197% increase from the 2.52 trillion SHIB volume recorded the previous day.

Shiba Inu Large Transaction Volume ITB
Shiba Inu Large Transaction Volume | ITB

Interestingly, this metric has continued to increase in the past few days after dipping to a 5-month low of 571 billion SHIB over the weekend. The gradual increase points to a growing interest among large players.

Notably, the recent 7.49 trillion SHIB volume marks the highest figure recorded in nearly two months. For context, the market last saw a comparatively large volume on Feb. 2, reaching 15.1 trillion SHIB. However, this volume largely consisted of sell-offs, leading to the price crash in early February to $0.000014.

Here’s What We Know

Accordingly, questions have emerged around the possible reason behind the latest transaction spike, as SHIB’s price barely moved on March 20. Despite the asset retesting the $0.000013 psychological level, it witnessed a sudden mild pullback, closing the day with a negligible 0.08% gain.

Further data from IntoTheBlock confirms the actual flow of tokens around these transactions. Notably, while outflows from large holders surged to 5.54 trillion SHIB on March 20, inflows to large holders saw a more substantial increase, hitting 6.26 trillion SHIB.

The figures confirm that large holders only saw a net positive capital flow of around 720 billion SHIB that day, representing a minor netflow. This explains why despite the large transaction volume spike, Shiba Inu largely consolidated on March 20.

An investigation into these transactions by The Crypto Basic revealed that OKX accounted for a large chunk of the volume. Particularly, the exchange moved over 1.8 trillion SHIB worth $23 million to a Hot Wallet yesterday. Large internal movements from other exchanges like Gate.io and Coinbase also contributed to the rise.

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu changes hands at $0.00001289, down 0.39% this morning. The asset again retested $0.000013 this morning but saw another mild correction. SHIB might need greater whale demand to overcome this resistance.

Metaplanet Appoints Eric Trump As First Member Of Its Strategic Board for Bitcoin Adoption

0

Metaplanet establishes a Strategic Board of Advisors to drive its Bitcoin adoption efforts, with Eric Trump appointed as the first member.

The company, commonly called the Japanese Microstrategy due to its Bitcoin adoption efforts, made the announcement today. According to the announcement, Eric will serve on Metaplanet’s inaugural board effective immediately.

Metaplanet revealed that it established the strategic board to drive its BTC adoption efforts and solidify its position as a global leader in the Bitcoin economy. It emphasized that the members of the board will comprise pro-Bitcoin influential figures and speakers worldwide.

Eric Expertise

Notably, Metaplanet portrayed Eric as a major business leader equipped with vast experience in finance, strategic growth, and real estate. In addition, the company acknowledged Eric as an influential voice and advocate in driving Bitcoin adoption.

Simon Gerovich, Representative Director at Metaplanet, expressed enthusiasm in welcoming Eric as the first member of the company’s board. He suggested that Eric’s business expertise and passion for Bitcoin would be of immense value to Metaplanet, especially as it focuses on becoming one of the world’s Bitcoin treasury companies.

Per the announcement, Eric’s appointment signals the company’s commitment to bringing together top-tier advisory talent to enhance its objectives. This includes expanding its Bitcoin treasury and developing innovative financial products to deliver long-term value to its stakeholders.

Metaplanet Bitcoin Adoption Efforts

Metaplanet has gained popularity in the crypto industry amid its remarkable Bitcoin adoption efforts. The company leveraged MicroStrategy’s (now Strategy) approach to acquire BTC as a treasury reserve asset.

Like Strategy, Metaplanet raises funds through bond sales to purchase Bitcoin. Since its strategy mirrors that of Strategy, Metaplanet has been referred to as the Japanese MicroStrategy.

Currently, Metaplanet ranks as the 10th largest corporate Bitcoin holder. This month alone, the firm added 965 BTC to its Bitcoin stash, bringing its total holdings to 3,200 BTC. With Bitcoin trading at $83,826, the portfolio is worth $268.24 million.

Last month, the company revealed plans to acquire 21,000 BTC by 2026 end. It plans to do this by issuing 21 million shares to raise ¥116.65 billion ($781.17 million) for the Bitcoin purchase.

Analyst Eyes Major Cardano Upside Gain, Predicting 159% Surge to $1.86

0

Recent Cardano price development suggests a possible bullish continuation, with a prominent analyst highlighting key support and likely targets for the rally.

An analysis from Rose Premium Signals identified a bullish reversal pattern on the Cardano (ADA) chart, indicating a possible uptrend continuation. The March 20 X commentary noted that the blue-chip asset is retesting a falling wedge structure, and a successful rebound could spark another rally to higher prices.

Cardano to Enter Uptrend Cycle After Retest

For perspective, ADA broke from a falling wedge on February 13 after consolidating within the structure since its December high of $1.327. The coin showed a mild upward price action before finally bouncing from the support around $0.65 on March 2, correlating with Donald Trump’s US strategic crypto reserve announcement.

Rose Premium shared that the asset has shown bullish reversal momentum since then, retracing to retest the falling wedge structure. The commentator suggested that while this may seem bearish in the short term, it is a necessary price development for a sustained upward drive.

Meanwhile, the analysis projects a momentum reversal to a strong uptrend cycle if ADA succeeds in retesting the $0.65 support. The market watcher predicted a sturdy bounce to three targets from the demand zone with aid from catalysts like volume and the broader market conditions.

First, the commentary asserted a 71% surge to $1.2265, just within touching distance of the falling wedge’s price high. The second and third targets represent rallies of 112% and 159% from the current market price to $1.5230 and $1.8612, respectively.

Cardano’s Bullish Reversal Trend/Rose Premium

However, Rose Premium stressed that Cardano must defend the support for a chance at this uptrend. Furthermore, a break above the local resistance around $0.82 would confirm the bullish continuation.

Analyst Identifies Sideways Range

In addition, another analyst, “Man of Bitcoin,” identified ADA’s potential to resume price uptrends. In an X post, the market watcher stated that the asset trades within a sideways range, and its subsequent price development would decide its fate.

He predicted a surge past the range’s resistance at $0.777 would set bullish precedence for higher prices. However, a crash below $0.650 would spell further corrections for Cardano.

If the asset falls below $0.650, the analyst expects retracements to $0.580 and the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.533.

Cardano Analysis/Man of Bitcoin

While Cardano’s prices continue to develop, the bullish buzz around the network could act as a propellant for higher prices. A recent report highlighted that positive social sentiments around the Cardano ecosystem reached a four-month high, an indicator market observers suggest could attract capital flow and bullish momentum to ADA’s price.

Ethereum Supply on Exchanges Hits 10-Year Lows Despite Price Struggles

0

Despite recent price struggles, Ethereum (ETH) appears to be facing significantly low selling pressure at the moment.

Ethereum has been the subject of ongoing jokes among crypto as it has grossly underperformed its contemporaries in recent years. Its price struggles have only been magnified with the crypto market going through a rough patch in the past two months.

While Bitcoin has been up 25% in the past year and XRP has been up nearly 300%, ETH has been down over 40%. But it may not be all doom and gloom for the asset.

Ethereum Selling Pressure Almost Non-Existent?

Despite recent price struggles, Ethereum seems to be experiencing exceptionally low selling pressure at the moment.

Specifically, Ethereum supply on exchanges is at ten-year lows, according to crypto analytics provider Santiment Feed.

In an X post on Thursday, March 20, Santiment disclosed that following a 16.4% drop in the past seven weeks, only 8.97 million ETH was on centralized exchanges, the lowest since November 2015

Ethereum supply on exchanges at lowest point since November 2015

This drop in Ethereum exchange supply can be seen as significantly bullish as it suggests only 7.4% of the nearly 121 million ETH supply is available for sale.

Why ETH Exchange Supply Dropping

Santiment noted that the recent decline in Ethereum supply on exchanges is the result of holders engaging in DeFi and staking activities. Amid declining market prices, these strategies could help holders mitigate some losses through yield-generating opportunities.

At the time of writing, ETH is trading at $1,971.66, down 2% on the day, as macroeconomic concerns continue to subdue risk markets.

Until these conditions clear up and demand for risk assets picks up, ETH is unlikely to feel the impact of any exchange supply shortages.

Forbes 30 Under 30 Expert Says Dogecoin Will Soar as Falling Wedge Breakout Looms—Here’s His Target

0

A prominent market analyst, Forbes 30 under 30 and Seen On FOX, CNBC, has shared a bullish outlook for Dogecoin, the largest meme coin by market cap, amid an imminent structural breakout with his 1.3M X followers.

DOGE has set its sights on a breakout amid recent bullish price developments. For perspective, the doggy-themed meme coin surged to an intraday high of $0.18 on Thursday, spurred by a broader market bullishness from Wednesday’s dovish FOMC meeting.

While Dogecoin retraced considerably from the high to close at around $0.1694, a recent analysis suggests the imminent resumption of another bullish rally. This is because the token is nearing a structural breakout, which could spur a retest of its January price high.

Dogecoin Nears Breakout

Carl Moon, a prominent market pundit and founder of the Moon Show, highlighted this bullish price development on DOGE’s daily timeframe in an X post on Thursday. He shared that the asset looks set to breach above a multi-month falling wedge.

Interestingly, Dogecoin has trended within this channel since its January high of $0.4350, making lower highs and lower lows. With the leading meme coin’s price trend getting tighter within the wedge, its recent surge to $0.18 has pushed it to the structure’s tip.

Dogecoin’s Falling Wedge/Carl Moon

Moon identified that the token is nearing a breakout, speculating a notable upside if it successfully defies the price structure. He predicted Dogecoin would “absolutely fly” to $0.434, 157% away from its current market price.

Notably, the analyst’s target correlates with the price high of the falling wedge, attained two days before Donald Trump’s inauguration. DOGE needs to close above $0.185 on the daily timeframe or risk revisiting the channel’s bottom.

Dogecoin Holds Crucial Support

With Dogecoin nearing a breakout, it still holds key support between $0.16 and $0.17. Analyst “Whalesdesk” identified this support area in a recent report, stressing its importance for higher prices.

His commentary identifies that if Dogecoin keeps holding the demand zone, it could surge to a four-year high of $0.60. Meanwhile, Whalesdesk highlighted the token’s path to the multi-year high, including a stop at $0.30 and $0.45, close to Moon’s price target.

Moreover, recent network catalysts suggest confidence in Dogecoin’s predicted upward trajectory. Bullish sentiments from incessant whale accumulations and the surging user participation in the Dogecoin network could catalyze the scintillating northward drive.

In the meantime, DOGE trades at $0.1696, up a mere 1.13% in the past week.

Valhil Capital Founder Pursues $500 Billion XRP Payback for Holders from SEC

Jimmy Vallee, founder and managing director of Valhil Capital, is seeking a $500 billion restitution for XRP holders.

This initiative aims to secure $500 billion in compensation for XRP token holders who suffered losses due to the SEC’s lawsuit against Ripple.

The lawsuit, initiated in December 2020, triggered a historic sell-off around XRP, causing exchanges to delist the token. As a result, XRP’s price plummeted by about 75%, dropping to $0.17 just days after the SEC’s lawsuit announcement.

Although XRP saw a slight recovery, it largely traded below $1 as the case lingered. Many, including Vallee, believe the SEC lawsuit has hindered XRP’s price growth over the past four years.

Restitution for XRP Holders

In a post on X, Vallee stated that if not for the SEC lawsuit, XRP’s price could have been around three times its previous all-time high, similar to the price growth in Bitcoin and Ethereum. As a result, industry leaders like Vallee are pushing for damages to be awarded to XRP holders.

Valhil Capital’s advisors specifically mentioned the $500 billion payback in a tweet last month. However, with the SEC dropping its lawsuit against Ripple this month, prominent XRP community figure Crypto Eri has drawn renewed attention to Vallee’s bold move.

Crypto Eri revealed that her sources indicated more details on the $500 billion XRP payback would surface in the coming days.

In his tweet from last month, Vallee also mentioned that his team would welcome over 76,000 XRP holders into their Crypto Justice Coalition. These 76,000+ holders represented the interests of XRP investors in the early stages of the Ripple lawsuit. This group was led by attorney John Deaton, who supported XRP holders through his Amicus brief in the Ripple case.

Vallee emphasized that together, they will be seeking at least $500 billion in restitution for XRP holders.

Notably, the Crypto Justice Coalition believes XRP’s price could be between $8 and $10. This price range would equate to a market cap of around $500 billion—far higher than its current market cap of $140 billion.

$500 Billion XRP Payback Not Via Federal Court

Vallee also clarified that the Crypto Justice Coalition will not seek restitution through federal courts initially. He explained that, in his view, the federal courts are corrupt.

Additionally, Vallee suggested that John Deaton might plan to bring a class action lawsuit against the SEC in the interest of XRP holders. “We would need to carefully consider that before we agreed to join any class,” Vallee said.
