Dogecoin Price Prediction: Historical Patterns Suggest DOGE Could Rally 600% to $2.28

0

Analyst Javon Marks has updated his outlook for Dogecoin, predicting a potential 600% surge to $2.28 based on historical price patterns.

Dogecoin experienced a major price decline on Monday, dropping below the $0.31 level as tech stocks tumbled. However, the meme coin regained ground on Tuesday, rising back to $0.3345. This recovery marked a 5.85% increase in 24 hours, though the cryptocurrency remained down by 2.33% over the past week.

Amid this fluctuation, analyst Javon Marks highlighted Dogecoin’s historical price trends, pointing to its recurring market cycles. His analysis outlined three distinct phases, each involving accumulation, a breakout, a surge in price, and a subsequent correction.

Based on these patterns, Marks suggested that Dogecoin remains on track for another bullish move.

Dogecoin Road to $2.28

According to Marks, historical price movements indicate the potential for a rally exceeding 600%, pushing Dogecoin to approximately $2.28.

Marks previously noted that Dogecoin’s 1.618 Fibonacci extension level aligns with this target. His past projection on January 17 suggested that a 432% increase could be the minimum gain for the crypto if past trends repeat. This increase could have pushed Dogecoin to $2.28758.

Meanwhile, another analyst, Balo, compared Dogecoin’s current position to its 2017 and 2021 bull runs. He observed that during the last two cycles, the 20-week exponential moving average (EMA) was a critical support level throughout the bull market.

Additionally, he pointed out that Dogecoin never dipped below the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level after surpassing it. Currently, the cryptocurrency is positioned at the 20-week EMA and the 0.618 Fibonacci level, suggesting strong support for higher levels.

Whale Accumulation Surges Over 90 Days

Elsewhere, recent data tracking large holders’ inflows into Dogecoin wallets shows a significant increase in whale accumulation. Over the past seven days, inflows rose by 5.33%, marking a moderate weekly uptick.

However, the past 30 days saw a much larger surge of 323.86%, reflecting growing interest from high-net-worth investors. More notably, inflows over the last 90 days skyrocketed by 3,722.46%.

When whales accumulate, the supply in circulation decreases, often leading to upward price pressure. This accumulation trend suggests that major investors continue to build their positions in Dogecoin despite recent market volatility.

SUI Analysis: Price Reversal Hints at Potential $5 Comeback

Following a recovery wave after Monday’s crypto market bloodbath, SUI is seeing a price reversal that now signals a potential recovery run toward $5.

As the total crypto market cap, excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum, reclaims a $1 trillion valuation, altcoins, including SUI, show signs of a V-shaped recovery. In this recovery, SUI has demonstrated a strong lower price rejection, indicating a return of bullish momentum.

Can this recovery overcome the recently heightened bearish pressure on its daily price trend? Let’s dive in.

SUI Price Trend

On the daily chart, SUI’s price trend shows five consecutive bearish candles, marking a price drop of nearly 17%, from $4.65 to $3.87. However, the sixth bearish attempt failed after a low of $3.49.

SUI Price Chart

As the broader market bounced back, SUI’s price closed at $3.94, showing a 1.94% surge. The hammer candle now suggests the formation of a potential morning star pattern.

Currently, SUI is trading at $3.958 and looks ready to overcome the short-term pullback. The lower price rejection has managed to hold above the 100 EMA line, bouncing from the 61.8% Fibonacci level near $3.46.

The intraday recovery halted the decline in the RSI line before it reached the oversold zone. As the daily RSI takes a sideways shift, the recovery aims to delay a bearish crossover between the 20 and 50 EMA lines.

Therefore, the potential Morningstar pattern could prevent a sell signal from technical indicators.

SUI Price Targets

For the SUI rally to sustain, the Morning Star pattern must hold with a closing price above the 78.6% Fibonacci level at $4.19. If so, a retest of the previously broken trendline near the $5 psychological level is possible for SUI.

On the downside, a continuation of the bearish trend could place further pressure on the 61.8% Fibonacci level at $3.46.

TRON Analysis: TRX Eyes 30% Surge Amid V-shape Reversal

Tron is aiming for a channel breakout rally as the broader crypto market regains momentum. Could this breakout propel TRX price beyond $0.30?

As Bitcoin recovers above the $103,000 mark, altcoins are gradually bouncing back from the recent pullback. Among these, Tron is on the verge of a significant breakout rally.

With a potential golden crossover and a channel breakout, TRX’s price trend signals a possible upside move of over 30%.

Tron Price Analysis

On the 4-hour chart, TRX’s price trend reveals a falling channel pattern. Currently, Tron is maintaining a positive cycle within the bearish channel, with local support holding the trend.

Tron Price Chart

The TRX price trend marks a third bullish reversal and looks set to challenge the upper channel line. As the recovery continues, the increasing bullish momentum suggests a potential golden crossover between the 20 and 50 SMA lines, further strengthening the bullish outlook.

Additionally, with the V-shaped reversal in the 4-hour chart, the RSI has reached the halfway level, signaling renewed buying interest. Essentially, technical indicators are giving a buy signal as demand increases.

At present, Tron is trading at $0.247790, showing a modest 3.40% intraday gain. The recent lower price rejection hints at a possible breakout rally. Accordingly, bulls may find an entry opportunity above the $0.25 psychological mark, aligning with the ongoing shift in momentum.

TRX Price Targets

Using Fibonacci retracement levels, the breakout from the falling channel could trigger a substantial price jump. The rally might first face short-term resistance at the $0.30 psychological level, which aligns with the 38.2% Fibonacci level.

Beyond that, the price could target the 50% Fibonacci level at $0.3282, representing a price surge of more than 30% from its current value.

However, on the downside, a failure to maintain bullish momentum could see a retest of the support trendline near the 100-SMA level at $0.2418.

Bitcoin Shows Strong Correlation with US Stock Market as Indigenous Adoption Soars

0

The United States seems to be leading in Bitcoin adoption, with an analysis showing a strong correlation between the asset and the indigenous stock market.

Before winning the November 2024 elections, Donald Trump promised to make America the crypto capital of the world. As he progresses with this ploy, recent analysis indicates that the US market is already fastening its ties to Bitcoin’s price action.

Data from CryptoQuant shows that institutional investors have indigenized Bitcoin, viewing the asset more like a traditional investment vehicle in the US market. Notably, the adoption curve has culminated in a strong correlation between the stock market and the pioneering cryptocurrency.

Fastened Correlation Between Bitcoin and US Asset Classes

CryptoQuant’s analysis shows that Bitcoin has fastened its price performance in correlation with notable US asset classes like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq. The market intelligence firm noted that this convergence started in 2024, recently reaching unprecedented levels.

Notably, an accompanying chart shows the strong correlation, especially between Bitcoin and Nasdaq. Per the chart, the convergence started around June 2024, and their price action has moved closely since then.

Bitcoin’s Correlation With the S&P 500 and Nasdaq

The firm also shows a similar correlation between Bitcoin and the S&P 500. However, it noted that the pair have decoupled several times along the line, compared with Nasdaq.

Meanwhile, the Bitcoin correlation with the US market surfaced following its over 5% short-lived crash to below $98,000 on Monday amid broader stock declines. The capitulation, which saw asset classes like the S&P 500 and NVIDIA crash substantially, came from China’s launch of DeepSeek, an AI tool teased to be better than American-based ChatGPT at much cheaper costs.

Verified CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost suggested that the close correlation indicates a growing adoption of Bitcoin among institutional investors. He noted that these high-caliber market participants now see the crypto firstborn as a traditional asset class.

In truth, US institutions have had a paradigm shift in their view of Bitcoin. Corporate firms and investment institutes in the country have incessantly invested in Bitcoin, increasing their market exposure to the premier asset.

More Adoption on The Horizon

Meanwhile, Darkfost suggested that further correlation, spurred by more adoption, is on the horizon. Specifically, he cited easing regulatory infringements due to a more transparent environment as a factor that would drive more institutional adoption.

The analyst cited the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) repulsion of the Staff Accounting Bulletin (SAB) 121 as a driving force. For context, the new SEC leadership dismissed the accounting restrictions discouraging financial institutions from holding cryptocurrencies upon changes in the agency’s hierarchy.

The warming environment this repulsion is set to bring, will be crucial in further adopting Bitcoin in the United States. Meanwhile, plots to create a national Bitcoin stockpile have sparked increased Bitcoin acquisition, and market observers believe the bullish news is not oversold yet.

KuCoin Exits US Market, Pays $297M After Pleading Guilty to Operating Unlicensed Crypto Exchange

0

KuCoin, a major global crypto exchange, has admitted to running an unlicensed money transmission business in the U.S. market, leading to significant legal consequences.

The company’s parent entity, Peken Global Ltd, formally entered a guilty plea in a Manhattan federal court overseen by U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter. As part of the settlement, KuCoin has agreed to exit the U.S. market for at least two years and pay over $297 million in fines and forfeitures.

Financial Penalties and Founder Agreements

The agreement entails a $112.9 million criminal fine alongside a forfeiture of $184.5 million. Additionally, KuCoin co-founders Chun Gan and Ke Tang, also known as Michael and Eric, have consented to separate deferred prosecution agreements.

As part of their settlement, each must forfeit $2.7 million and relinquish all managerial and operational roles within the company.

Authorities allege that the exchange facilitated illicit financial activity, handling billions in suspicious transactions. These transactions reportedly involved illicit funds from fraudulent schemes, malware, ransomware, and darknet markets.

Investigators also found that KuCoin failed to implement sufficient anti-money laundering and know-your-customer controls. The exchange did not register with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) or report suspicious activities as required by law.

Heightened Regulatory Scrutiny

KuCoin’s legal troubles are part of a broader regulatory crackdown in the U.S. on cryptocurrency firms.

In a separate case, the company reached a $22 million settlement with the state of New York and agreed to block local users from accessing its platform.

This lawsuit, initiated by the New York Attorney General, accused KuCoin of failing to register while allowing investors to trade crypto. The settlement also prohibits KuCoin from dealing in securities and commodities within the state.

KuCoin’s Response and Compliance Efforts

Following the legal proceedings, KuCoin has emphasized its dedication to strengthening security and regulatory compliance in a blog post. The company noted that it has expanded its compliance team, secured operating licenses in several jurisdictions, and adopted enhanced security protocols.

KuCoin assured that its global services remain operational in markets unaffected by the restrictions. It also reaffirmed its commitment to regulatory collaboration, stating that it continues to engage with authorities to ensure compliance with evolving financial laws.

Omni Network Founder Reveals Real Reason for XRP Edge Over Bitcoin as the U.S. Crypto Reserve

0

One of the founders of Omni Network highlights the advantage XRP has over Bitcoin that justifies its inclusion in the U.S. strategic reserve.

Notably, the comments come as the crypto community remains divided amid speculation over which crypto assets might be included in the U.S. crypto reserve. The discussion centers on whether Bitcoin (BTC) should dominate or if other assets, like XRP, also deserve consideration.

These commentaries gained momentum after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing a Presidential Working Group to explore the creation of “digital asset stockpile.”

The use of “digital asset” instead of “Bitcoin” fueled concerns among Bitcoin proponents, who fear the reserve might include assets beyond BTC. While the order does not mention XRP, these Bitcoiners have singled out the token, leading to an aggressive campaign.

Amid this aggression, Omni Network co-founder Austin King has highlighted why XRP could be a worthy choice, outlining its advantages over Bitcoin in terms of design and functionality.

XRP’s Performance Benefits Stand Out

King argued that including only Bitcoin in a U.S. crypto reserve would limit its utility. While Bitcoin was designed to serve as a decentralized store of value, XRP was specifically created to modernize and enhance the financial system.

According to King, Bitcoin prioritizes decentralization, which leads to slower transaction speeds. Meanwhile, XRP focuses on high performance, making it a more practical option for onboarding financial institutions.

To support his points, King shared a video of Stefan Thomas, former CTO of Ripple, who outlined XRP’s technical advantages over Bitcoin.

Thomas stressed that XRP is over 1,000 times faster than Bitcoin in terms of transaction confirmation times. For context, XRP processes transactions in approximately 3.2 seconds, while Bitcoin’s confirmation time is more variable, averaging 10 minutes or more.

The former Ripple CTO also noted that XRP has more predictable and cost-effective transactions. While Bitcoin transactions can cost several dollars or more, XRP transactions cost only a fraction of a cent.

Notably, a blend of this cost-effectiveness and the impressive speed makes XRP more suitable for enterprise-level use cases, according to Thomas. King supports this stance, highlighting the benefits as evidence that XRP could provide more value to a strategic reserve than Bitcoin alone.

Diversification is Important

Speaking further, King noted that diversification is important in building a crypto reserve. Including only Bitcoin would restrict the reserve to a single use case, which is acting as “digital gold.”

In contrast, adding XRP would ensure the reserve leverages the full spectrum of blockchain technology, including fast and affordable financial transactions. It bears mentioning that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also advocates for a similar diversity, calling for a level playing field where the reserve could include other assets in addition to Bitcoin.

Upholding this point, King argued that blockchains offer more than just decentralized value storage. They have the potential to create an open, global financial foundation. He believes high-performance networks like XRP are essential to achieving this vision.

According to the Omni Network co-founder, U.S. policymakers appear to understand the need for a diversified approach. Notably, previous reports suggested that the government could be looking to prioritize “Made in America” crypto assets for the reserve.

Arizona Closer To Establishing Bitcoin Reserve as Bill Passes Committee Vote

0

Arizona has passed a key hurdle in the race to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve.

On Monday, January 27, the state became the first to have its Bitcoin reserve bill pass a committee vote as the Senate Financial Committee voted 5-2 in favor of the provision—a move that puts the state ahead in the race among U.S. states to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve following Donald Trump’s election win.

The president had promised to launch a strategic Bitcoin stockpile on the campaign trail, which stoked hopes of the government becoming an active buyer of the asset, bolstering its price. However, the president’s recent executive order has now put this in doubt.

Still, this does not appear to be slowing the race among states, as highlighted by the recent Arizona Senate Financial Committee vote.

The state’s Bitcoin reserve bill, sponsored by far-right Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers and State Representative Jeff Weninger, seeks to allow the investment of up to 10% of “public funds” in crypto assets like Bitcoin. The bill defines public funds as funds held by the state treasurer and retirement systems.

Following the bill’s passing of the Senate Financial Committee vote, its journey to becoming law is now 25% complete. It is set to face the Senate Rules Committee next, though a date for this does not appear to have been set. Approval here will likely set it up for a full Senate vote.

According to Satoshi Act Fund co-founder Dennis Porter, at least 11 states, including Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Oklahoma, have already introduced strategic Bitcoin reserve legislation since Trump’s victory.

Porter has suggested that this number will rise to 15 or 16 soon.

This Bitcoin strategic reserve push can likely be attributed to the crypto industry’s significant lobbying efforts over the past elections. In Arizona, for example, the industry was ranked as a top spender with $5.9 million allocated to propping up pro-crypto candidates.

Dogecoin Founder Sparks Community Reaction After Turning Down DOGE Job from Elon Musk

0

A friendly conversation between Elon Musk and Dogecoin founder Billy Markus steered a row in the community as the latter turned down a much-coveted opportunity.

A few hours after a labor union accused Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) of posting a job opportunity that contradicted federal laws, the X owner seems to have taken to personal recruitment.

Musk was seen offering Dogecoin founder Billy Markus a role at the newly formed federal parastatal. Meanwhile, the outcome sparked reactions from the community, which was angling for a different result.

Here’s How It Happened

As he often does, Markus joked about being jobless on X. In a now-deleted post, the Dogecoin founder said he was unemployed and needed help.

Unexpectedly, the joke comment caught Musk’s attention, who offered him a job at the D.O.G.E. He asked if he was willing to work for the government efficiency parastatal, noting that the collaboration would be perfect.

Conversation between Markus and Musk

Notably, a high-ranking seat opened in the federal agency after former co-head Vivek Ramaswamy left. The reasons behind his abrupt exit remain controversial, but a report believes it is due to his X rant on American culture.

Meanwhile, Markus seemed uninterested in the offering. He noted working for the agency would be “a pretty full cycle” and wishes to have some personal time.

However, the Dogecoin founder did not entirely rule out the possibility of working for the DOGE, giving a six-month timeline to “see where I’m at.”

Community Reactions

The duo’s conversation sparked reactions from the Dogecoin community, which pleaded that Markus take the job. For context, one comment appreciated the Dogecoin founder’s stance but persuaded him to “do it for the fun of it.”

Another user stated that it must be fate for the Dogecoin founder to work for D.O.G.E., encouraging Markus to consider the offer.

Meanwhile, another reaction commended Markus for declining the offer, noting it was pretty logical. He hinged his argument on the delicacy of the role and the Dogecoin founder’s inexperience.

Notably, Musk has continued to express admiration for Dogecoin and its ecosystem. Although the Tesla CEO once noted that there is nothing serious between him and Dogecoin, he has not hidden his love for the meme coin.

Critic Jim Cramer Calls for Owning Bitcoin, Says It’s a Great Thing to Have in Portfolio

0

Jim Cramer, the host of CNBC’s Mad Money, advocates owning Bitcoin (BTC) in a diversified portfolio.

During a recent segment of the Mad Money program, a caller asked Cramer to share his take on whether viewers should invest in Bitcoin or shares of MicroStrategy, the largest public holder of BTC.

Responding to the inquiry, Cramer disclosed he owns Bitcoin, signaling his confidence in the premier cryptocurrency. He advised the caller and other viewers also to own Bitcoin.

The CNBC Mad Money host characterized Bitcoin as a great asset to hold, emphasizing it is a valuable addition to a diversified portfolio.

Cramer Kicks Against Investing in MicroStrategy Shares

However, Cramer advocated against favoring shares of Bitcoin firm MicroStrategy over BTC itself. In particular, his statement suggests he is against indirect exposure to Bitcoin through MicroStrategy shares.

Notably, MicroStrategy ranks as the largest public holder of Bitcoin, with a holding of 471,107 BTC. The asset acquired at an aggregate price of $30.4 billion is currently worth $48.38 billion.

Given MicroStrategy’s large Bitcoin stash, BTC’s price action usually influences the performance of its shares. Hence, some investors tend to gain indirect exposure to Bitcoin by owning shares of MicroStrategy.

However, Cramer is against this approach. He advocates for owning Bitcoin directly, ‘not MicroStrategy,’ as he stated.

Mixed Reactions Trail Cramer’s Comment

Cramer’s latest recommendation has triggered mixed reactions in the crypto community. While some crypto proponents commended him for backing Bitcoin, others expressed concern about his call for adoption, citing the humorous ‘Inverse Cramer’ theory.

This is because his predictions usually move opposite the market’s direction. For instance, the Mad Money host said Bitcoin was topping out in January 2024, adding that investors should exit their positions in BTC.

At the time, Bitcoin was trading at $47,100. Since he made the forecast, Bitcoin has soared by more than 100%, moving past $100,000. Specifically, as of today, Bitcoin is trading at $103,176 per BTC, up 4.88% over the past 24 hours.

Many investors, based on the ‘Inverse Cramer’ theory, project that Bitcoin might experience a significant downturn in the coming days.
