Whales’ accumulation of Shiba Inu continues to soar.
Ethereum whales’ appetite for Shiba Inu (SHIB) does not seem to be fading any time soon, as another large holder recently purchased a large amount of the cryptocurrency.
According to WhaleStats, a cryptocurrency data provider that tracks the activities of the top 5,000 Ethereum wallets, and ETH whale named BlueWhale0073 has bought over 700 billion units of Shiba Inu coins in a single transaction.
Per the data, BlueWhale0073 bought a massive 775,473,150,952 SHIB worth around $20,697,378 ($20.6M) at the time of the purchase.
Following the groundbreaking purchase of Shiba Inu coins by BlueWhale0073, the Ethereum whale trader is currently ranked the 12th largest holder in the WhaleStats ranking.
“ETH whale “BlueWhale0073” just bought 775,473,150,952 $SHI ($20,697,378 USD). Ranked #12 on WhaleStats,” the cryptocurrency aggregator platform tweeted in the early hours of today.

Looking deep into the Whale Wallet, we found that besides SHIB, the whale is holding Polygon (MATIC), Chainlink (LINK), Uniswap, and two stable currencies, Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC).
SHIB Surged Over 30% in 24 Hours
It is worth noting that the development came hours after the value of Shiba Inu surged above 30% following the listing of the coin on the Robinhood trading platform.
The coin, which was trading around $0.00002201, soared to a high of $0.00002870 when the news of the Robinhood listing became public.
Interestingly, whale traders who have been buying the cryptocurrency over the past month were heavily rewarded with major profits following the surge in the coin’s value.
However, not too many Shiba Inu whales benefited from yesterday’s rally as they continue to increase their holdings and prepare for another imminent rally that can take place at any moment.
Ethereum Whales Show Massive Interest in SHIB
The number of Ethereum whale addresses accumulating the dog-themed cryptocurrency has been increasing in recent times.
As reported yesterday, two big Ethereum whales, Light, and Bombur bought a massive 393 billion Shiba Inu coins moments before the cryptocurrency gained 30% as a result of Robinhood listing.
The reason for this massive interest in SHIB is not far-fetched, given that the project’s developers are working round the clock to launch operational initiatives that confirm the cryptocurrency is no longer a meme coin.
Earlier today, Shiba Inu developers announced that investors can now participate in early access to its plots of land sales.
