Despite the sensational performance of the Bitcoin network in recent times, developers are still poised to make the blockchain better than its current status.

In an announcement today, the Bitcoin Core team noted that it had released version 23.0 of the Bitcoin Core software, an upgrade that will bolster the connection speed of the software to the Bitcoin network.

It is worth noting that the new Bitcoin Core version has been silently released by the development team and no announcement was made about it.

However, it was after Web 3.0 developer and researcher Zhixiong Pan searched the GitHub repository before he discovered that a new version of the Bitcoin Core software had gone live.

After the discovery, Pan took to Twitter to announce the development, adding that the software has some of the best features.

Some of the Bitcoin Software features included a MacOS ARM build and the Apple Silicon M1 chip.

Pan, tweeted in Mandarin that following the integration of the Apple Silicon M1 chip, Bitcoin Core 23 has become the first of the core software to feature the chip.

“[…] This will likely be the first version of Bitcoin Core to natively support Apple silicon (M1 family) chips,” excerpts from Pan’s tweet read.
