Netherlands-based Crypto Payment Gateway NOWPayments to extend its partnership with Shiba Inu Ecosystem.
In an exciting announcement, NOWPayments, a top-tier crypto payment gateway, has revealed its eagerness to collaborate again with Shiba Inu. This collaboration will involve NOWPayments building on Shiba Inu’s blockchain, Shibarium, to advance the adoption of crypto payments.
NOWPayments made the exciting revelation via its official Twitter account after applying through the Shibarium Intake form. The company received an affirmative response from Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, paving the way for a fruitful collaboration.

NOWPayments has assured the Shiba Inu Community that more exciting details about the partnership will be revealed soon, urging them to watch for further updates.
NOWPayments added support for SHIB back on October 18th, 2021. Since then, the leading payment gateway has continued to show countless support for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. NOWPayments was the early crypto payment gateway introducing an optional BURN feature for SHIB on its platform. This feature allows merchants, including Shiba Inu IRL partners, Sorbillo, Welly, and John Richmond, to contribute a percentage of their profits towards SHIB burning.
In addition, NOWPayments partnered with Switchere last year to allow customers to pay merchants in SHIB, while merchants could convert Shib into fiat.
The company also recently emphasized the multiple advantages of accepting payments in Shiba Inu (SHIB), encouraging NFT marketplaces to adopt the token as a payment method.
Meanwhile, Shibarium’s beta testnet, Puppynet, has been experiencing impressive growth, boasting over 350,000 wallet addresses and processing more than 2.2 million transactions within just three weeks of its debut.
Shiba Inu As a Payment Method
Shiba Inu’s mainstream is on the rise. Recently, Xeni, a renowned blockchain-based B2B travel selling platform, joined forces with BitPay to add support for SHIB.
Illinois-based cryptocurrency exchange, Gate.io has declared its intention to introduce the Gate Visa debit card in Europe, allowing consumers to make seamless purchases with Shiba Inu at any of the 80 million merchant stores that accept Visa.
At the same time, Binance has introduced a crypto-focused prepaid card in Colombia, enabling residents to pay using Shiba Inu for their goods and services.
In addition, Binance has teamed up with CityPay.io, a top crypto payment gateway based in Georgia, to enable SHIB payments at over 600 vendors throughout the region.
Top Bahrain’s real estate developer, BinFaqeeh, has partnered with Binance Pay to add support for Shiba Inu.
