Shiba Inu remains among the top 5% of most secure projects on Certik despite a recent drop in the project’s security score.

Shiba Inu has lost its AAA rating on CertiK after its overall security score recently declined to 93.67. Despite this setback, the asset has retained a position among the most secure projects on Certik’s top 5% list.

SHIB BPP, a community-driven account dedicated to updates on Shiba Inu, first drew public attention to today’s development.

According to the disclosure, Shiba Inu has fallen to the 51st rank on CertiK’s security leaderboard. This leaderboard evaluates project quality and security through audits and real-time monitoring.

A look at the Certik platform corroborates these claims. However, despite the drop in rank, Shiba Inu’s security score of 93.67 still represents an excellent rating and indicates that the project is still of high quality and security.

The security score, which ranges from 0 to 100, serves as an assessment of the overall quality and security of the project. Additionally, the score is categorized into five levels: AAA, AA, BB, B, and CC. Shiba Inu’s current AA rating confirms that it has successfully undergone a thorough audit by CertiK and has no significant security flaws or vulnerabilities.

This rating also signifies that the project adheres to industry best practices and standards for coding, documentation, testing, and other crucial aspects. Moreover, Shiba Inu is still one of the top-ranked assets in the meme coin category on CertiK’s leaderboard, surpassing other competitors such as Dogecoin and Floki Inu.

As previously reported by The Crypto Basic, last month, Shiba Inu was spotlighted by Certik on its weekly Scoop. The platform emphasized the project’s robust security and evolution from a meme coin to “a decentralized ecosystem.”

While the actual reason behind the drop remains unclear, the relatively high-security score indicates that the project remains secure and reliable. It is common for security scores to experience occasional fluctuations, and minor drops like this are generally not a cause for concern.

Additionally, Shiba Inu still possesses significant potential for growth and innovation as it continues to expand its ecosystem. The development team has continued to make efforts towards introducing ShibaSwap 2.0, SHIB: The Metaverse, and well’s launch of Shibarium on the mainnet.
