Shiba Inu ecosystem expansion is just starting as the lead developer tells community members to expect “much more developments” in the coming months.

Shibarium may be one of the much-awaited projects in the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Still, Shytoshi Kusama recently told community members to anticipate more upcoming developments post-main net launch of the layer-2 scaling solution.

The lead developer in the SHIB ecosystem gave the teeming community members more reasons to be excited about the future of Shiba Inu with this latest disclosure, which was shared with its newest partner, Bad Idea AI.

While chatting on the official Bad Idea AI Telegram group over the weekend, Kusama wrote: “Enjoy everyone. Much more upcoming.” The AI-related meme token project team took to Twitter to share this exciting news, attaching a snapshot of Kusama’s remark.

While he revealed zero details about these upcoming developments, the ShibArmy are optimistic that their emergence would help draw more traction to SHIB. Meanwhile, this remark comes shortly after he addressed the questions regarding the launch of the L2 scaling solution.

Shibarium Mainnet Launch Date

The community-appointed leader, reiterating that the Shibarium launch is closer than expected, revealed when the project would go live on the main network last week.

As reported, Kusama said Shibarium would leave its current testnet stage to mainnet during the upcoming Blockchain Futurist Conference in August. Designed to take place in Toronto, the conference has Shiba Inu as its title sponsor. The visions and objectives of the L2 scaling solution would be unveiled during this conference as well as the completed World paper, he said.

Recall that the SHIB marketing specialist Lucie said that the decentralized ecosystem would go beyond these three projects — BONE, LEASH, and SHIB. Accordingly, she added that hundreds of projects would be onboarded into the Shiba Inu ecosystem upon the mainnet launch of Shibarium.

On the whole, community members are eager to see this strategic project go live as it would mark a great evolution for Shiba Inu, according to an official team member. This growing anticipation can be seen in the high engagement on Puppynet — the testnet version of Shibarium.

Likewise, whales are busy moving millions of SHIB tokens as they hope to see a price surge when the top layer-2 project finally launches. Notably, the Shiba Inu price has appreciated by over 14% in the last 30 days, with its market cap at $4.44 billion.
