Shiba Inu’s L2 blockchain Shibarium has surpassed the 2M transaction milestone after registering more than 200K transactions daily.
Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium has recorded a major milestone, surpassing over 2 million transactions. According to data on Shibariumscan, the total transactions on the L2 blockchain currently stands at 2,096,508 (2.09 million).
Shibarium achieved the notable milestone in just 15 days after the Shiba Inu team relaunched the blockchain for public use. In addition, the development comes a week after the L2 blockchain hit 1 million total transactions.
Shibarium Daily Transaction Surpass 200K
Notably, Shibarium transaction volume surpassed 2M after the network recorded a major spike in daily transaction activities. Per data from Shibariumscan, the network saw a daily transaction volume of 202.9K.
This suggests that Shiba Inu’s blockchain is gradually gaining widespread adoption and utility.
Other Stats
Aside from transaction count, Shibarium has also recorded other interesting stats. At press time, 1,125,968 (1.12 million) wallet addresses have interacted with the network.
Similarly, Shibarium’s number of blocks is inching closer to 600K. So far, 588,356 blocks have been logged on Shibarium, with an average block time of 5.0 seconds.
Shibarium Achieves Jaw-Dropping Stats Despite Encountering Technical Woes
It is worth noting that Shibarium has been able to achieve these jaw-dropping stats despite the technical hiccups it encountered during its mainnet launch.
Recall that Shibarium entered a fail-safe mode shortly after launching on August 16. The technical issue, which originated due to an influx of users, prompted Shiba Inu’s devs to scale Shibarium alongside the Polygon dev team.
After successfully scaling the platform, the team relaunched Shibarium for public use on August 28, 2023. At the time of the relaunch, Shibarium had recorded only 368,532 transactions and 66,958 addresses.
Based on the latest data, it is evident that Shibarium activity has grown tremendously in 15 days by adding 1,727,976 (1.72 million) transactions and 1,059,010 (1.05 million) addresses.
SHIB & BONE Plunges Amid Shibarium Successes
Despite the surge in Shibarium’s activity, the prices of Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens, including SHIB and BONE, have remained significantly low.
At press time, SHIB was changing hands at $0.00000722, down 11% over the past two weeks. Similarly, data from CoinGecko shows that BONE has slumped 35.9% in two weeks to $0.82.
