The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is on a steady growth path with regard to hosted wallets, as it witnesses an addition of over 11,000 accounts in less than two weeks, amounting to 4.812M total wallets.
This is according to information from the community-driven XRP analytics resource Rich-list.info. Data from the platform confirms that the XRP Ledger now boasts 4,812,859 wallets, representing an impressive surge over the past 12 days.
Notably, the XRPL recently hit the 4.8 million wallets milestone, as previously reported by The Crypto Basic. The network crossed the much-coveted threshold on Oct. 4, twelve years after its inception. Since then, there has been a steady surge in hosted wallets.
At the time of The Crypto Basic’s report, wallets on the XRPL specifically amounted to 4,801,222. The current figure of 4,812,859 indicates an addition of 11,637 over the past 12 days.
On a broader scope, the XRPL has welcomed over 291K wallets throughout this year. The network began the year with 4.521 million accounts. Ten months later, this figure has increased to the current 4.821 million.
The Historic Wallet Count chart reveals a persistent increase since Jan. 1, with a massive decline observed in mid-June. This decline resulted from the deletion of over 85,000 wallets from the crypto exchange Poloniex, as disclosed by The Crypto Basic.
XRP Ledger Averages 1,400 New Daily Wallets
Data from the crypto behavior analytical platform Santiment confirms this steady growth rate. Interestingly, the Santiment Network Growth (XRP) chart indicates that XRP has averaged 1,400 new daily wallets since the start of October.
The current daily average metric is similar to the rate on the XRP network last October, although the XRPL saw a massive 2,773 spike on Oct. 6, 2022. Interestingly, XRP was trading at the same price range of $0.48 to $0.52 at the time.
The daily average of 1,400 this month is slightly higher than the 1,100 figure witnessed early last month. However, the network witnessed three noticeable spikes from Sept. 18 to 20 as XRP battled to cross the $0.52 price threshold, with a spike of 1,972 new addresses on Sept. 19.
However, this year’s largest daily address spike occurred on July 13 as XRP’s price rallied to $0.93 amid the favorable verdict in the Ripple case. The XRP Ledger saw an addition of 5,948 that day as network participants sought to leverage the ongoing rally. So far today, the network has observed 211 new addresses.
