This week Morgan Stanley SEC filings shows that the bank has acquired large amount of bitcoin via Grayscale Bitcoin Trust.
In SEC filings, Morgan Stanley has just reported owning a large amount of Grayscale Bitcoin across multiple portfolios.
The largest of these appears to be 928,051 shares held by Morgan's Insight Fund.

Morgan Stanley is increasing its investment in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust. Bank recent SEC filings indicate that the Morgan’s Insight Fund, Morgan Stanley Variable Insurance Fund Inc, Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Inc, and the Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Trust all made indirect investments in Bitcoin. The largest of these appears to be 928,051 shares held by Morgan’s Insight Fund.
Morgan Stanley majority of cryptocurrency investments are made in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust.
According to SEC filings On June 29, Morgan Stanley first purchased 28,289 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust via its European Opportunity Fund.
