Vitalik Buterin Eyes Fresh Ethereum Bull Run With New Network Update

0

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently unveiled the fifth phase of Ethereum’s roadmap, dubbed “The Purge,” which analysts believe is a strategic move for an ETH bull run.

This update targets the network’s data bloat by reducing unnecessary data storage, making Ethereum more efficient while preserving its core principles of security and performance.

The announcement comes amid speculation that the crypto market may soon enter a new bullish phase. Some analysts suggest that this development could be a strategic move by Buterin to prepare for increased network usage.

Implications for Ethereum’s Performance

While the changes are technical, their implications could extend to Ethereum’s market performance. With Ethereum trading around $2,600, analysts argue that the update was likely timed to coincide with an impending rally in the broader market.

Taking to X, macro trader Jason Pizzino expressed his view that Buterin’s move signals a shift toward a more bullish phase for Ethereum. “It’s as if Vitalik Buterin knows the bull market is about to step up a gear, and he actually needs to start building again,” Pizzino remarked.

However, he took a swipe at Ethereum’s current unimpressive price performance. Pizzino asserts that ETH being under $2,900 at this time of the bull season resembles the performance of other stagnant crypto assets like XRP and Cardano (ADA).

Pizzino shared a graph illustrating Ethereum’s recent price action, which shows a series of lower highs and lows from April to September, indicating an unimpressive trend. However, there are signs of a shift, with recent movements suggesting higher lows—a potential precursor to a bullish reversal.

Pizzino emphasized that reclaiming the $2,900 level could be crucial for Ethereum’s bullish reversal.

Has Ethereum Lost its Edge?

Meanwhile, another market watcher has also highlighted Ethereum’s underwhelming development activity. In a Monday post on X, analyst “Grey BTC” expressed concern over Ethereum’s slow project deployment, claiming the network has relied on rebranding successful Solana projects, such as GOAT and MOODENG, to attract volume.

According to Grey BTC, this behavior undermines Ethereum’s competitiveness and resembles testnet-level chains. He noted that the lack of fresh projects and a struggling meme coin sector raises questions about Ethereum’s adaptability in this cycle.

While Grey BTC stated he loves Ethereum, he is worried it might “end up going to zero against Bitcoin, like ADA and XRP.”

Pundit Discusses Ripple and XRP Roles in $27 Trillion Cross-Border Payments Market

0

Max Avery, a notable voice in the crypto community, recently highlighted the transformative potential of XRP and Ripple’s solutions in the $27 trillion cross-border payment market.

Avery pointed out that Ripple’s technology addresses some of the most entrenched inefficiencies in traditional banking infrastructure. He noted that this positions XRP as a key asset in reshaping global cross-border payments.

Notably, the current cross-border payment market is hindered by outdated, costly, slow, and complex systems. Traditional systems often take 3-5 days to settle, involve multiple intermediary banks, have high fees, and have limited transparency.

Ripple and XRP Solution

However, Ripple Payments, formerly RippleNet, streamlines this process by creating a standardized global network of financial institutions using real-time messaging.

Central to Ripple’s offering is the On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) feature, which utilizes XRP as a bridge currency. ODL eliminates the need for pre-funded accounts. It provides automated currency conversion and real-time settlement across the XRP Ledger in 3-5 seconds.

Operating 24/7, Ripple Payments improves the efficiency of cross-border transactions. Moreover, it mitigates the capital constraints banks face under traditional systems by removing the need for nostro-vostro accounts.

Ripple’s Adoption Strategy

Avery highlighted that Ripple’s adoption strategy has focused on high-volume corridors and partnerships with major financial institutions worldwide. However, regulatory uncertainty has created challenges, particularly in the United States.

Avery noted that Ripple’s compliance-first approach and active engagement with regulators signal its commitment to a transparent and legally compliant expansion strategy. He expressed optimism for regulatory progress in the U.S. under future administrations, which could further enhance Ripple’s ability to serve key corridors.

Despite this, Avery highlighted that banks remain cautious due to their investments in legacy systems and a risk-averse culture. Even institutions with positive sentiments toward Ripple’s offerings face restrictions stemming from regulatory uncertainty.

Avery noted that Ripple is adopting phased implementations and hybrid solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing fiat systems to address these challenges.

Moreover, he emphasized that rising competition from fintech, growing customer expectations for better service, and trends in digital transformation are driving demand for enhanced payment solutions, positioning Ripple to effectively address these needs.

With the increasing acceptance of digital assets and the push to modernize payment infrastructures, Avery believes the momentum for Ripple’s solutions will continue to grow.

Expert Names Altcoins Better Than Shiba Inu, XRP, and Dogecoin

0

Market expert Murad has fueled an argument in the crypto community after mentioning tokens that are allegedly better than heavyweights Shiba Inu, XRP, and Dogecoin.

Utility tokens like XRP and Chainlink offer considerable use cases for the crypto industry. For context, XRP boasts fast, cross-border transactional capabilities, while Chainlink provides off-chain data for smart contracts.

Notably, XRP is the seventh-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, trading at $0.5236 and with a valuation of $29.7 billion. On the other hand, Chainlink occupies the 15th slot, exchanging hands at $11.48 with a valuation of $7 billion.

Meanwhile, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are the top two meme coins by market cap. They have also grown to gain substantial institutional traction, occupying the 8th and 13th slots in the market ranking.

With all these titles in the bag, analyst Murad has mentioned four low-cap tokens allegedly better than XRP, Chainlink, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. In a tweet on October 28, he caused an uproar after noting that SPX6900 is better than XRP, Gigachad is better than Dogecoin, POPCAT is better than Shiba Inu, and APU is better than Chainlink.

Murad’s Argument

Notably, Murad’s comparison was based on their prices at peak market cap. He argued that those low-capped tokens would be better valued if they attained the same peak market cap as the heavyweights.

The market expert made his first case with XRP and SPX6900, noting that the latter would trade for $141.36 if it attained XRP’s peak market valuation. Notably, XRP traded at $3.4 per coin when its market cap hit its all-time high of $131.65 billion.

Murad cited a similar case for meme coins Gigachad and Dogecoin. Per the comparison, GIGA would trade at $9.24 if it attained the meme king’s peak market cap of $88.79 billion.

The analyst further compared POPCAT’s price with Shiba Inu’s peak market cap. The feline-themed meme coin would trade at $41.82 at SHIB’s ATH market cap of $40.99 billion. POPCAT will also be worth $10.96 (652% of its current price) if it attains Shiba Inu’s current market cap of $10.75 billion.

For APU vs. Chainlink, the former would have canceled multiple leading zeroes to trade at $0.068 if it attained LINK’s peak market cap of $22.03 billion.

Crypto Community Reacts

Meanwhile, Murad’s assertion didn’t go down well with some crypto enthusiasts, who voiced their grievances. For instance, a user asked Murad which metrics he used to conclude that the low-capped tokens were better, noting that the analyst had no substance proof to back his claims.

Another user branded the analysis controversial, while a Dogecoin enthusiast outrightly stated that GIGA could never be compared to the leading meme coin by market cap. Notably, some proponents of the low-capped tokens supported the commentary.

XRP Run in a Nutshell: Expert Explains Only Way XRP Bull Run Starts

0

Crypto analyst Dark Defender calls attention to a decisive correlation between Bitcoin dominance and the timing of XRP bull runs.

Data suggests that XRP typically enters its bull run phase only when Bitcoin dominance reaches a peak and then begins to decline. In his latest analysis, Dark Defender has confirmed that this pattern played out during XRP’s previous bull runs in 2017 and 2021.

Bitcoin Dominance and XRP Performance

Notably, during the early phase of the 2017 bull run, Bitcoin dominance soared to 96.25% in February 2017, putting pressure on the altcoin market, including XRP, which struggled during this period.

However, Bitcoin’s dominance began to ease in March 2017, and XRP seized the opportunity. With Bitcoin losing market share, XRP experienced a massive rally, surging by 284% that month alone.

Over the next several months, Bitcoin dominance continued to drop, with XRP soaring to reach its all-time high of $3.31 in January 2018. By then, Bitcoin dominance had plummeted to 35.41%.

Bitcoin Dominance and XRP Movements Dark Defender
Bitcoin Dominance and XRP Movements | Dark Defender

However, as the dominance began to recover shortly afterward, XRP also faced a correction, ending its bull run. Interestingly, this inverse relationship between Bitcoin dominance and XRP’s performance played out again in 2021.

Specifically, by January 2021, Bitcoin dominance had spiked to 73.63%, coinciding with a low point in XRP’s price, which dipped to $0.2082. Nonetheless, Bitcoin’s dominance started to decline that same month, and XRP rebounded swiftly, closing January with a gain of over 125%.

The rally continued as Bitcoin dominance further collapsed, dropping to 49.19% by April 2021. XRP took advantage of this, climbing to a high of $1.96 in the same month despite the ongoing Ripple v. SEC legal battle at the time.

Current Conditions and What to Expect for XRP

Dark Defender’s chart suggests that Bitcoin dominance is again reaching a peak, recently achieving a level of 59.75%. Market veteran Michaël van de Poppe has also identified this spike in Bitcoin dominance.

Meanwhile, XRP has been underperforming, persistent with the conditions at the start of previous bull runs. Market analysts believe that if Bitcoin dominance begins to fall in the coming months, it could create the ideal environment for altcoins like XRP to rally.

According to Dark Defender, the potential correction in Bitcoin dominance could occur between November 2024 and November 2025. This decline could trigger the altcoin season, as capital flows out of Bitcoin and into altcoins, leading to significant rallies across non-Bitcoin assets like XRP.

In addition to the historical patterns, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) shows that tops in the BTC.D RSI often syncs with peaks in Bitcoin dominance. These RSI tops signal overbought conditions.

Each time this pattern has occurred in the past, Bitcoin dominance has declined shortly afterward. On the current chart, the RSI is again approaching a peak. If Bitcoin dominance retraces, it could lead to a new cycle of XRP price increase.

Shiba Inu Blockchain Shibarium Welcomes NFT Bridge Feature

0

The Shiba Inu ecosystem X handle calls attention to the launch of an NFT Bridge feature on the Layer-2 scaling solution, Shibarium.

The team behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem announced the development yesterday, emphasizing that users can easily deposit and withdraw their NFTs. It quoted an earlier disclosure from Shibarium’s official X handle, shedding light on the recent upgrade.

Shibarium NFT Bridge

Per the post, crypto users can now transfer their Ethereum-originating NFTs to Shibarium in a few clicks. This indicates that users can deposit their NFTs originally minted on the Ethereum blockchain to Shibarium and vice versa.

According to the team, the newly introduced feature seeks to open up new opportunities for displaying, trading, and utilizing NFTs on Shibarium.

The team assured users that bridging NFTs between Ethereum and Shibarium is fast and secure, emphasizing that the activity takes a few clicks.

Steps to Deposit and Withdraw NFTs to Shibarium

Furthermore, it provided a video clip showing a step-by-step guide on how users can move their NFTs from Ethereum to Shibarium and vice versa.

Depositing NFTs From Ethereum to Shibarium

To deposit NFTs from Ethereum to Shibarium, users must visit the Bridge platform and connect their wallets like MetaMask on the Ethereum network. Afterward, locate the Bridge section and select the NFT for deposit.

Once selected, hit the ‘transfer’ button to proceed and confirm the transaction within the wallet. The NFT will be transferred from Ethereum to Shibarium upon confirmation.

Withdrawing NFTs From Shibarium to Ethereum

This process is almost similar to depositing NFTs from Ethereum to Shibarium. However, this requires users to move their Shibarium NFTs to the Ethereum network.

To do this, visit the Shibarium homepage and connect the wallet to the Shibarium network. On the Bridge NFT section, select the NFTs that need to be moved to the Ethereum network and hit the transfer button.

Approve the transaction within the wallet and wait for its completion. Once successful, the NFT will be moved to the Ethereum network from Shibarium.

The recently introduced feature further expands Shibarium’s utility, making it one of the top blockchains that support NFT bridging.

Besides bridging NFTs, Shibarium allows users to move their fungible tokens like BONE to and from Ethereum. This feature received a major upgrade earlier this year, reducing the bridge time to 45 minutes from seven days.

Here’s Who is Driving the Bitcoin Rally Past $71,000 Today

0

Today, Bitcoin reached a fresh record, successfully recapturing the much-anticipated $70,000 level—a threshold it had struggled to regain over the last four months.

Bitcoin has not only re-entered the $70,000 range but is also progressing swiftly toward its all-time high. Specifically, it has hit an intraday high of $71,475 and continues to maintain its gains. Now, Bitcoin is just 3.5% shy of its peak of $73,750.

Bitcoin’s rally has been felt throughout the crypto market. The global market experienced a 4.56% increase over the past day, bringing it to $2.4 trillion. This reflects a fresh influx of approximately $112.08 billion entering the market in the last 24 hours. Moreover, market volume has surged by 89.41%, now standing at $100.99 billion.

Robust crypto market amid Bitcoin rally
Robust crypto market amid Bitcoin rally

This unexpected development has prompted market participants to consider the factors behind the turnaround. Analytics platform CryptoQuant attributes the Bitcoin uptrend to massive trading activity, particularly from Binance whales—large traders on the Binance exchange.

How Binance Whales Are Driving Bitcoin Price

In an analysis today, CryptoQuant market watcher Mignolet highlighted that Binance whales have been engaging in the market during Asian trading hours, beginning around October 14.

This activity has impacted the Coinbase Premium Gap (CPG) data, which tracks price differences between Coinbase and Binance—prominent exchanges for U.S. and international traders. As of today, the CPG is declining even as Bitcoin’s price rises, showing a “negative premium.”

Mignolet cautions against interpreting this as a drop in U.S. demand. In fact, since October 14, U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs have seen heightened inflow, with net influxes of about 47,000 Bitcoin—roughly $3.34 billion, given Bitcoin’s current market value above $71,000.

Additionally, recent inflows into U.S. Bitcoin ETFs reached a six-month high, as reported by The Crypto Basic last week.

Mignolet further noted that CPG data closely tracks ETF demand, as most ETF products use Coinbase. Normally, high U.S. demand would drive the CPG positive, but the negative premium instead suggests that Binance whales are playing a central role in driving Bitcoin’s price. In contrast, U.S. demand remains robust but isn’t fully reflected in Coinbase prices.

Essentially, the current Bitcoin price is being influenced primarily by Binance whales, with strong support from steady U.S. capital inflows.

Analyst Says Much Hate for Cardano, but $5 is Next Target

0

Pseudonymous market expert Decode has bemoaned criticisms Cardano analysts face while setting an ambitious short-term target for ADA and a more audacious long-term one.

Like the other crypto assets, Cardano has appreciated substantially in the past 24 hours amid Bitcoin’s push over the $70,000 price mark. ADA is up 4.41% at the time of writing, mirroring a broader market uptrend.

However, on higher timeframes, Cardano is still nursing substantial deficits. For context, the 11th largest cryptocurrency has dropped 5.3% in the past seven days and 13.45% month-to-month.

Meanwhile, Cardano analysts and proponents have been in the wrong of surging criticisms of the ecosystem due to ADA’s underperformance. Analyst Decoder pointed to this scenario in his Tuesday analysis while maintaining that the coin would surge to $5 soon.

Cardano Set for A Bullish Breakout to $5: Analyst

In a tweet today, Decode cited hostility from the crypto community whenever he posts bullish Cardano charts. The anonymous charter emphasized resilience in the face of criticism while setting another bullish target for ADA.

Per the analysis, Decode asserted a surge to $5 as ADA’s “immediate price target.” The analyst drew the attention of his followers to the completion of Elliot sub-waves 1 and 2 on the ADA/USD 1W chart.

He stated that the first and second wave phases were completed in 11 months, and the third wave is almost underway. The market expert speculated that the wave would push ADA by 1,348% to $5.

Furthermore, Decode reiterated his $16 ADA target at the completion of the Elliot wave pattern, which aligns with his earlier speculation in December 2023.

Other Cardano Price Speculations

Notably, the pseudonymous analyst is not the first to predict a considerable upside for Cardano. For instance, TradingView market speculator Melika Trader speculated a surge to the next resistance at $1.8 if Cardano’s support at $0.33 holds.

Meanwhile, Alikze predicted a short-term 59% surge to $0.55 as ADA continues to consolidate in its ascending triangle. However, another analyst noted that Cardano might see lower prices if it fails to hold its $0.33 support, targeting a downtrend to $0.22.

Notably, Cardano bounced from its support at $0.320 on October 26 to trade at $0.3455 at the time of writing. A sustainable trend above the support would catalyze higher prices for the 11th-largest cryptocurrency.

Brandt Identifies 3 Bullish Bitcoin Targets, $94K, $160K, $230K as BTC Hits 4-Month Peak

0

Following the recent recovery that saw Bitcoin surpass $71,000 this morning, market veteran Peter Brandt has called attention to three bullish BTC targets.

For context, Bitcoin has compounded its growth, having reached a 4-month high of $71,500 earlier this morning. The breach of the $71,000 mark comes on the back of three consecutive intraday gains since October 26. BTC is looking to secure a fourth one today.

The premier crypto asset’s rally has triggered a renewal of optimism within the market, especially considering the approaching U.S. presidential election and a surge in market confidence demonstrated by whale addresses.

Notably, amid the latest upsurge, Peter Brandt took to X to share three potential bullish price targets for Bitcoin. The market veteran based each target on a different analytical approach, presenting alternative outlooks for Bitcoin’s possible upward trajectory.

Bitcoin Targets $94,000 on Triangle Breakout

In the first chart, Brandt discussed a measured move target of $94,000 derived from an inverted expanding triangle pattern on a semi-log scale. The market analyst had discussed this structure in previous analyses, identifying it as a bearish formation.

Brandt on X
Brandt on X

BTC needed to breach the $69,985 resistance to invalidate the structure. Currently, the asset has broken above this level. This breakout is important, as it suggests a continuation of Bitcoin’s bullish trend.

Brandt calculated the projected move to $94,000 based on the triangle’s height, applied to the breakout point. If Bitcoin holds above $70,000, this could act as a new support, with traders potentially aiming for the $94,000 mark in anticipation of more upward momentum.

Bitcoin Targets $230,000 on Logarithmic Projection

Brandt’s second chart is more ambitious, presenting a target of $230,000. He calculated this target by projecting the upward swing from the November 2022 low to the March 2024 high, applied from the August 2024 low.

Brandt on X
Brandt on X

However, Brandt suggested that this target might be an ambitious one, noting that he looks to favor one target at a time. The projection syncs with the idea that Bitcoin’s price movements often mimic previous cycles, especially in the wake of market-defining events like halvings.

$160,000 Target Based on Cycle Symmetry

The third chart dates back to June and presents a $160,000 target based on Bitcoin’s cycle symmetry. Brandt called attention to the “beautiful symmetry” of Bitcoin’s past bull market cycles, using the timing of previous peaks and halvings as a foundation for his analysis.

Brandt on X
Brandt on X

Each halving cycle has resulted in a new all-time high 490 to 550 days afterward, and this projection is in sync with that timing.

In the chart, the $160,000 target is marked along a long-term trendline that extends through Bitcoin’s prior highs. This trendline acts as an overarching guide for Bitcoin’s macro trajectory, suggesting that $160,000 could be a reasonable peak within the current cycle.

Essentially, the $94,000 target presents a near-term bullish outlook. The $230,000 target shows the possibility of growth based on historical swing projections. Meanwhile, the $160,000 target syncs with Bitcoin’s past performance post-halving.

Data Analysis Firm Discusses How Shiba Inu Could Reach $0.01

0

CoinCodex, a well-known data analysis platform, has evaluated the potential for Shiba Inu (SHIB) to achieve a price of $0.01 while establishing a six-year timeline.

Shiba Inu is currently facing a challenging market period, losing 10% value over the past week and 13% over the past month. While Shiba Inu is trading at $0.000016, some supporters remain optimistic about a possible rally to $0.01.

CoinCodex’s analysis specifically considers the feasibility of SHIB reaching $1 or $0.50, but the firm warns that these targets are unlikely under present market conditions.

The report highlights that while reaching $1 or $0.50 seems improbable, Shiba Inu may still experience astronomical price increases. It references SHIB’s remarkable surge of 85,000,000% in 2021 as evidence of its potential for significant growth.

CoinCodex also points out that replicating the 2021 rally has been challenging for SHIB due to the broader market condition and the asset’s considerable supply, which limits further rallies.

The Supply Challenge for Shiba Inu

To achieve prices of $0.50 or $1, the report argues that a substantial reduction in SHIB’s supply is necessary. If SHIB were to rise to $0.01 with its current supply of 589 trillion tokens, its market capitalization would soar to $5.89 trillion.

For comparison, the total crypto asset market cap is around $2.29 trillion. Also, Apple and Microsoft are valued at $3.52 trillion and $3.18 trillion, respectively. Thus, maintaining its current supply would make Shiba Inu more valuable than the entire cryptocurrency market and these trillion-dollar firms, which is not feasible.

Meanwhile, CoinCodex suggests that one viable solution to the supply issue is token burns. The massive increase in SHIB’s price in 2021 was partly due to Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin burning 410 trillion SHIB tokens that year.

The analysis stresses that reducing SHIB’s supply is essential for it to have a shot at reaching $0.01. However, achieving such a large-scale burn like that of Buterin may not be realistic at this time. This led CoinCodex to conclude that while reaching these price points is unlikely, it cannot be completely dismissed.

Future Price Projections for Shiba Inu

Taking into account overall market trends, CoinCodex predicts that Shiba Inu could reach approximately $0.001978 by 2030, which would represent a staggering 12,262% increase from its current price of $0.000016.

Expert Predicts XRP Price for 2025 if Solana Touches $600

0

A crypto market analyst has predicted XRP price for 2025, as the second phase of the bull run looms, especially with Solana reaching $600.

With the upcoming U.S. presidential elections and recent momentum in Bitcoin prices, multiple experts foresee another major bull rally phase for cryptocurrencies in 2025.

XRP Price in 2025 if Solana Hits $600

One such expert, The Wallstreet Bull, has projected strong price targets for top assets, including Solana potentially reaching $400 to $600, an increase of 119.5% to 229.25%. In the same breath, he expects XRP to see substantial gains if the market moves with these bullish trends.

According to The Wallstreet Bull’s projections, XRP might soar between $4 and $6 if positive conditions persist, equating to a potential 664% to 1,046% increase from its current price.

Besides him, other analyses have projected targets from $4 to $6 for XRP. Despite the slump following the SEC’s appeal notice in the Ripple case earlier this month, analyst Bobby A suggested that XRP could still recover to cross $4.

Notably, if XRP recovers as in 2021, it could rally to a range of $4 to $6. In a separate analysis, market watcher EGRAG also argued that XRP’s worst case scenario could actually translate to a price of $6.

XRP Short-Term Momentum

Currently, XRP is showing signs of a mild recovery, though its recent price movements indicate that it’s still facing challenges in gaining substantial momentum.

As seen on the daily chart, XRP’s recovery lags slightly compared to Bitcoin’s performance. The Average Directional Index (ADX) stands at 16.91, signaling weak trend strength. This suggests that XRP’s recovery could lack the push needed to break higher resistance levels.

XRP 1D Chart
XRP 1D Chart

To trigger a stronger uptrend, XRP would first need to breach its Pivot level at $0.5929. Surpassing this level could mark a significant turning point, potentially shifting momentum to a bullish outlook.

Beyond the Pivot, XRP encounters three major resistance levels on the path to $1. The first resistance is set at $0.68327. The next level at $0.75532 could serve as a major barrier, as XRP has not decisively broken past this area this year.

Finally, at $0.84564, XRP would encounter its last substantial resistance before aiming for the $1 mark, which it has traded below for nearly three years. Surpassing this psychological level could lead to a renewal of bullish sentiments.

Meanwhile, XRP holds two support levels. The first support at $0.52090, close to the current price, is likely to see some buying activity, which may help maintain stability. If this level breaks, the next support is found at $0.43058.

Meanwhile, in addition to XRP, other notable assets also have ambitious targets set by The Wallstreet Bull. Bitcoin (BTC) is expected to reach between $120,000 and $150,000. Ethereum (ETH) could also see a run to price range of $8,000 to $10,000.
