Leading Indian Cryptocurrency Exchange to List Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) Minted on Ripple’s XRP Ledger (XRPL)

0

India-based cryptocurrency exchange CrossTower has announced a partnership with blockchain company Ripple.

According to an announcement today, the partnership will see CrossTower list non-fungible tokens minted on Ripple’s XRP Ledger (XRPL) to its NFT trading platform, the CrossTower NFT marketplace.

Commenting on the development, Kapil Rathi, CrossTower’s CEO, said:

“We are thrilled to partner with Ripple and build our Web3.0 platform on the XRPL. Ripple’s commitment to building a developer network in India is particularly exciting for CrossTower as we are committed to developing India’s blockchain talent.”

CrossTower NFT Marketplace Features

The CrossTower NFT marketplace allows creators to easily list their various non-fungible token projects. The CrossTower team is committed to making things easier for creators in a bid to make their journeys into the world of NFTs smooth.

Notably, developers looking to list their non-fungible tokens on the CrossTower platform will have access to various infrastructures, including wallets, liquidity and payment support, and efficient customer service.

“CrossTower’s NFT marketplace is built for developers and creators seeking a holistic service to take their projects from idea to fruition,” the leading India-based exchange noted in a statement.

NFT fans will have a unique experience as they will be granted direct access to their favorite developers. Notably, fans will be allowed to purchase XRPL-based NFTs using their credit cards. Once payment has been made, the digital collectible will be sent to their XRPL-supported wallets.

CrossTower’s NFT Dominance

It is noteworthy that CrossTower has been supporting NFTs from other blockchains, including Ethereum. However, the cryptocurrency exchange chose to expand its NFT offerings by adding support for digital collectibles that are developed on Ripple’s XRPL.

“CrossTower is expanding its marketplace functionality to support XRPL which will significantly lower the costs and barriers to entry for creators who want to mint their projects on the blockchain best suited to enable settlement and liquidity of tokenized assets at scale,” excerpt of the announcement read.

CrossTower Will List New XRPL NFTs In Coming Weeks

Per the announcement, the CrossTower marketplace has already attracted significant projects, including digital collectibles from Antara and David Bowie World.

The trading platform noted that it has already lined up a series of projects on the XRP Ledger that will be rolled out on CrossTower NFT marketplace in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, XRPL is gradually becoming a home for NFT projects. This is mainly because of the technical prowess associated with the XRPL, which includes speed, and low-cost transactions, etc.

More so, Ripple has been dedicated to supporting various NFT projects via its $250 million Creators’ Funds.

6 Conventional Ways To Earn With Crypto

0

Cryptocurrency investments have been in the range today, with many people earning through them. The early adopters of coins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have made a lot of money as cryptos have experienced a huge price rise since their initial release. Other altcoins have had the same price movements after the initial coin offering, and many people have generated huge profits by investing in them.

However, investing in the initial coin offerings isn’t the only way to earn in cryptocurrencies. While other new coins are being released in the market, people prefer to invest in the already established cryptos. This is because they have a strong community backing them and a good development team. Fortunately, there are several other ways of investing and earning from crypto. Here are some of them:

  1. Crypto Referral Programs

Crypto referral programs are a great way for people to earn free crypto by referring others to sign up and complete certain tasks. These work as affiliate programs in that you get paid in crypto or digital tokens. For example, most crypto exchanges will give you a referral bonus in native tokens when you refer a friend to sign up and trade on the platform.

Also, when you open an account on the platform, you can get bonuses using promo codes. However, most of these bonuses can’t be withdrawn right away. Instead, you can use them for trading and generating profits that you can withdraw in fiat or other cryptocurrencies.

  1. Staking And Master Nodes

Another way of earning through crypto is by staking them or running master nodes. Staking is holding coins in a wallet to support the network. In return, you get rewards for supporting the network. The amount of rewards you get depends on the number of coins you stake and the staking algorithm.

For example, if you stake 1000 coins, you may get 100 coins per month. The more coins you stake, the higher the rewards. Master nodes are also similar to staking, only that they require more investment. To run a master node, you need to have a minimum number of coins specified by the network.

For example, Dash master nodes require 1000 DASH. Master nodes also get rewards for supporting the network, but are usually higher than staking rewards. However, they also come with more risks, as you can lose all your investment if the crypto price falls.

  1. Trading

Another way of earning from crypto is by trading them in exchanges. This is a riskier way of earning, but can also generate higher profits. When you trade crypto, you buy them at a low price and sell them when the price goes up. You can also short-sell them when you expect the price to fall.

To be a successful trader, you need to have a good understanding of technical analysis and the underlying factors that affect the prices of cryptos. You must also have a good risk management strategy to protect your capital. There are several trading strategies that you can use, such as the following:

  • Scalping is a process wherein you take advantage of small price movements. You open and close trades within a few minutes or hours.
  • Swing trading is a medium-term trading strategy where you hold trades for several days or weeks. You take advantage of the up and down swings in the market to make profits.
  • High-frequency trading is a trading strategy that involves opening and closing hundreds or even thousands of trades within a day. This is only suitable for people with high capital and good computing power.
  • Arbitration is a trading strategy that takes advantage of the price differences in different exchanges. For example, you can buy Bitcoin in one exchange where the price is low and sell it in another exchange where the price is high. You can also use this strategy to earn from the difference in prices of altcoins in different exchanges.
  1. Lending Cryptos

Lending cryptos is another way of earning interest from them. The interest rates vary from one platform to another, but are usually higher than standard fiat lending rates.

The risks involved in lending cryptos are also higher as the prices of cryptos are more volatile. There’s also a risk of the lending platform defaulting on its obligations. However, the risks can be minimized if you choose a reputable lending platform. The best part of lending is that you have to work with a reliable lending platform that’ll deal with borrowers.

  1. HODLING

HODLING (hold on for dear life) is a long-term investment strategy where you buy cryptos and hold them for long, usually years. This is a more passive way of earning from cryptos as you don’t have to trade them actively.

The only thing you need to do is to choose the right cryptos to invest in. You also need to have a good understanding of the underlying factors that affect the prices of cryptos. This will allow you to buy them at a low price and sell them when the price goes up. However, make sure to not panic and sell when the prices go down, as this will only lead to losses.

  1. Mining

Mining is another way of earning from crypto. When you mine crypto, you’re rewarded with the coin and transaction fees. Mining is an energy-intensive process and isn’t profitable for everyone. It’s only profitable if you can access cheap electricity and good computing power.

An alternative to traditional mining is cloud mining. This is where you pay a fee to a cloud mining company, and they’ll provide you with the necessary computing power to mine cryptos. This is more profitable as it eliminates the need for expensive hardware and electricity.

Conclusion

There are several ways you can earn from cryptos. You can trade them, stake them, run master nodes, or lend them. You can also mine them or hold them for the long term. The best way to earn from cryptos is to understand prices and the crypto news well, and do your research. This will allow you to make informed decisions when buying and selling them.

The Never-Ending Bitcoin vs Gold debate: Which Is A Better investment? [Investing Guide]

0

The virtues of Bitcoin vs Gold have become a hot subject among investors in discussions about portfolio diversification. The issue is problematic in and of itself since it implies that one asset is categorically superior to the other for all investors.

There are distinct aspects to consider for each, and people may opt to keep gold, Bitcoin, or both based on their risk tolerance and financial or technical skills. It’s mostly a personal choice, and any predictions made here about future price potentials are merely educated guesses based on historical patterns. Past success is no guarantee of future outcomes.

Which Is Better: Gold or Bitcoin?

There’s no reason why investors can’t have both gold and Bitcoin in their portfolios—after all, portfolio diversification enables you to distribute your money over a range of asset types. Some investors may choose to keep gold as a haven (albeit gold may still lose value), while others may prefer to retain Bitcoin for the possibility of large returns and increased liquidity.

It’s completely understandable to be confused about these two different assets. We were born knowing how precious gold is and Bitcoin, as an emerging adversary, presents itself as a modern counterpart commonly known now as digital gold. But to better decide and find out which suits you more, some experts at Dart-europe.eu can provide you with ample amount of information about some factors, which can later assist to make your mind on how you will decide between gold and Bitcoin.

Individuals’ risk profiles may have a role in their choice to invest in one or both of these currencies. Someone who is risk-averse may not want to invest in Bitcoin since it is so volatile. An investor with greater risk tolerance, on the other hand, could think the hazards of volatile crypto are worth it. Some investors, on the other hand, some investors may opt not to invest in gold or Bitcoin.

Bitcoin vs Gold: Advantages And Disadvantages

Bitcoin has two distinct benefits over gold: liquidity and price appreciation potential, whereas gold has two distinct advantages over Bitcoin: a long history and lesser volatility.

Volatility

The volatility of Bitcoin is notorious. In a few hours or days, cryptocurrency prices have been known to surge or decrease by 10%, 20%, or even 30%. Apart from penny stocks, few other investments have this kind of volatility.

While there is still some volatility in gold, it has a smoother ride in the markets. Gold is often regarded as a haven and a “risk-off” asset by investors. When gold moves more than 1% or 2% in a single day, it is regarded as significant and unusual.

History

Gold has been used as a store of wealth for more than 5,000 years. This instils faith in the yellow gold among many investors. Gold has long been recognized as a kind of money and a proven tool to store and preserve wealth through generations and civilizations. Investing in precious metals is a pretty secure choice in general.

In 2009, Bitcoin was developed. As of writing, it has a little more than 12 years of history. The blockchain technology that underpins the Bitcoin network is also novel, and there has never been a decentralized peer-to-peer network like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin had risen from a fraction of a penny to over $50,000 as of late April 2021, when this article was written. There may be no other asset in history that has produced such high returns in such a short period.

However, some investors are wary of the Bitcoin network because of its infancy and novelty. Certain unknown factors, such as how governments will react to this new type of currency, which is essentially beyond their control. Is Bitcoin going to be criminalized, massively taxed, or otherwise regulated into oblivion?

What would the network’s response be in the event of a large, worldwide cyberattack? What happens if Bitcoin has been completely mined, and miners are solely rewarded for their efforts via transaction fees rather than block rewards of freshly generated coins?

For some investors, these and other concerns generate much too much uncertainty.

Some Bitcoin proponents, on the other hand, believe that Bitcoin will one day completely replace gold owing to the benefits that rare digital money provides in today’s increasingly virtual world.

Liquidity

Gold is thought to be a liquid asset. Gold must be sold for the fiat currency of the investor’s choosing to get liquidity. This may be a time-consuming procedure that is normally transporting real gold to a coin dealer or selling gold to a private party via the internet, such as through an online auction house.

While this may be seen as a drawback by some investors, it may be viewed as a gain by others. Money saved in gold coins may be less likely to be spent than money saved in cash or bitcoin, which might be good for those trying to save money.

Bitcoin is extremely liquid due to its virtual nature. Cryptocurrency markets are open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Users may access their wallets from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection.

It is simple, fast, and inexpensive to exchange Bitcoin for fiat cash. It may not even be necessary to exchange for fiat in some cases. Bitcoin is now accepted as a direct method of payment by an increasing number of companies, organizations, and people.

Furthermore, Bitcoin loans enable you to utilize Bitcoin as collateral for a fiat currency loan, significantly increasing your liquidity options.

Are both wise investments?

Bitcoin has been by far the best-performing asset over the previous 12 years in terms of returns. Since its inception, Bitcoin has also been the best-performing asset virtually every year (except in 2014 and 2018).

However, while discussing Bitcoin’s amazing increases, it’s important to note the extraordinary volatility it’s seen and the exchanges that have been hacked and tales of individuals losing their Bitcoin private keys permanently. These are dangers that should be taken seriously.

Bitcoin has a significant relationship with the expansion of the money supply. The price of Bitcoin measured in that fiat currency tends to climb in lockstep when a central bank generates additional money. Supply and demand are assumed to be the cause of this.

Only 21 million Bitcoins will ever exist, but fiat money units like dollars may be generated in unlimited ways. With more and more cash chasing fewer and fewer bitcoins, prices may rise dramatically but predictably.

Because of its low volatility and endurance, gold may be a smart investment for long-term investors. It is a reasonably risk-free investment. Gold, in general, gains in lockstep with inflation, which is why it is regarded as a haven asset. However, gold’s steadiness may make it less appealing to short-term investors looking for a rapid and large payoff.

Attorney Jeremy Hogan Says SEC Is Dragging Ripple’s Lawsuit Backwards By “Attempting to Hide Everything”

0

Attorney Hogan has expressed his displeasure over the SEC’s continuous efforts to seal vital information in the Ripple lawsuit.

Attorney Jeremy Hogan, a partner at Hogan & Hogan law firm, has slammed the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over its continuous efforts to seal vital information related to its case against Ripple.

The outspoken attorney noted that the case is “a$$ backwards,” following the SEC’s efforts “to hide everything.” According to attorney Hogan, the SEC is changing the narrative with its continuous requests to keep things away from the public.

“Normally in these cases, it’s the company that wants to hide things from the public,” attorney Hogan said in a tweet. However, the SEC has been the party seeking to keep things away from the public since the beginning of the lawsuit.

SEC Seeks to Seal the Identities and Reports of Its Experts

Attorney Hogan’s comment is in response to the SEC’s request to seal the names, identifying information, and details of its experts’ reports, in the upcoming Daubert challenge.

The SEC had previously requested that the identity of only one of its experts be kept away from public view. However, in a recent letter filed by Ripple, the agency noted that the same confidential request should apply to four other experts.

With the Daubert motion expected to be filed tomorrow, Ripple decided to file four out of its five motions under seal, in compliance with the SEC’s confidentiality request.

Ripple noted that the four motions filed will remain under seal until the court makes a decision, which will determine whether the identities of the experts should be kept away from the public.

Attorney Hogan: Judge Torres Will Not Back the SEC

Commenting on what the court’s decision would be concerning the SEC’s request to seal the personal details of its experts, attorney Hogan noted that he does not think Judge Analisa Torres would grant the agency’s request.

“Judge Torres has shown a slant towards disclosure so I don’t think she’ll seal what the SEC hopes,” he said.

Attorney Hogan added that the recent request made by the SEC suggests that the Ripple community will not be seeing “motions to strike” any of the SEC’s experts’ testimonies.

“And I was looking forward to the motion to Strike [Mr. Patrick Doody’s] testimony,” attorney Hogan added.

SEC Wants to Seal Information and Reference to Five of Its Experts, Puts Ripple In Difficult Position

0

The Securities and Exchange Commission is insisting that the names of its experts and reports should be kept away from public view.

With the parties expected to file their Daubert motions tomorrow, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has requested that the names of its five experts and the content of their reports be excluded from public view.

The blockchain company made this known in a letter sent to District Judge Analisa Torres, as shared by attorney James K. Filan.

A few weeks ago, the SEC had requested to seal information of one of its experts, on the grounds of harassment and threat to life.

Despite the fact that the case related to the first expert is still unresolved, the SEC recently informed Ripple that the same request should apply to three of its other experts (Experts 2, 3, and 4).

According to Ripple, the SEC wants the identifying information and names of the experts to be withheld. The agency also insisted that any mention of the experts’ testimonies should be kept from public view until all issues concerning the first expert are resolved.

“The SEC maintains that it would be a violation of the protective order for defendants to publicly file on July 12 any reference to experts’ reports or testimony, or name and identity,” Ripple noted.

Notably, the SEC is not planning to leave any of its experts exposed to public criticism and harassment.

Despite the fact that the SEC had previously filed Expert 5 report on the public docket, the agency is also insisting that Ripple redact the fifth expert’s name, identifying information, and any mention of his report, from their Daubert motion.

“The existing factual record in the pending SEC request (as to Expert 1) does not support the extraordinary relief the SEC seeks even as to Expert 1, let alone as to its other experts,” Ripple wrote in its letter to District Judge Torres.

Ripple Counters SEC’s Reasons

The SEC has previously asserted that the reason behind the move to seal the information of its experts is to protect them from potential harassment and threats.

However, Ripple believes there is more to the SEC’s effort to seal details of its experts’ testimony.

Ripple noted that the SEC is only trying to shield the information and opinion of its experts from public scrutiny, an action described by the blockchain company as an infringement of public rights.

“It is antithetical to the right of the public to have access to substantive materials that will be critical to this court’s upcoming rulings on the parties’ Daubert’s challenge,“ Ripple added.

Ripple Makes Five Expedited Requests

In a recent letter addressed to Judge Analisa Torres, Ripple said it has filed four out of its five Daubert motions under seal, in compliance with the SEC’s “confidentiality designations.”

Ripple is requesting an expedited briefing on the extreme position taken recently by the SEC, regarding the information and content of the agency’s experts’ reports.

The blockchain company requests that the court establish the following expedited schedule to resolve all issues regarding the SEC’s quest to seal the information and reports of five of its experts.

“July 12: Daubert motions and exhibits (with limited scaling as to Expert 5) are filed under seal. July 18: Parties identify with each other any Daubert material that they contend should be redacted and filed under seal. July 20: Parties confer and meet for proposed redactions. July 22: Parties seeking redactions that have not been agreed to, file motions to seal with the court. July 25: Parties file opposition to redactions that have not been agreed to.”

Ethereum Exchange Withdrawals Reach 14-Month Lows: Glassnode

0

Ethereum holders keep ETH on exchanges.

Glassnode Alerts, in a tweet on Monday, reveals that weekly Ethereum outflows from exchanges have tapped 14-month lows of only about 2,396.131.

“Ethereum ETH Number of Exchange Withdrawals (7d MA) just reached a 14-month low of 2,396.131,” tweeted the analytics firm.

The reason for the low withdrawals is not certain. However, it is worth noting that low withdrawals or high supply on exchanges usually indicate the holders’ desire to sell. It could be that holders plan to sell for profit taking if they expect a price surge in the short term or that they expect more downside and are preparing to cut their losses.

It is worth noting that, as reported by The Crypto Basic, there has been massive ETH flow to exchanges following recent upward price movements. According to the report, holders moved 220k ETH to exchanges, the highest inflow since August 2021.

Meanwhile, just a week before, The Crypto Basic also reported that whales had been aggressively accumulating the asset, a key indicator that prices may be expected to surge in the short term. Notably, the asset rose by over 12% following this accumulation, reaching above the $1,200 price point.

It is worth noting that there is a lot of buzz in the Ethereum community as the long-awaited “merge” edges closer. In the last week, the network reached two critical milestones as it looks to migrate to the proof-of-stake Beacon chain with the execution of the Gray Glacier upgrade. In addition, the merge has made its way to the Sepolia testnet. Consequently, it is only one testnet away from making it to the mainnet.

Ethereum supporters expect the network migration to solve scalability concerns that have plagued the DeFi king.

PSG launches NFTs for the club’s first Japanese tour since 1995.

French soccer champion Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is selling NFT tickets and commemorative NFTs for its first tour of Japan in 27 years, according to statements on the team’s tour website.

“In the summer of 2022, Paris Saint-Germain, one of the best football clubs in the world, will tour Japan! To commemorate their first visit to Japan in 27 years, we will be offering premium NFT tickets and commemorative NFTs that you can only get here and now,” a statement on the website reads.

The offering includes 3 NFT tickets for the three scheduled matches in Japan. Each ticket costs about 180.36 ETH, over $205k at current rates. Notably, sales for the NFT ticket end on Wednesday. Ticket holders will be given access to the VIP room and VIP party with the players.

Meanwhile, the commemorative NFTs will include key moments captured in video and pictures from the club’s tour. It is worth noting that the first match is scheduled for July 20 with Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale. PSG will be fielding its stars, including the celebrated Lionel Messi.

Notably, the French soccer team has increasingly adopted crypto and NFTs in its campaigns in recent times. In June, the club revealed it would launch an NFT collection to celebrate its 10th league championship and the year of the Tiger with Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou.

The collection with Jay Chou featured 10,000 NFTs bringing French and Chinese cultures together. Notably, as reported by The Crypto Basic last year, Argentine football legend Lionel Messi as part of his deal with PSG had opted to receive part of his transfer package in crypto fan tokens.

Sports adoption of crypto appears to be on the rise as more teams enter partnerships with crypto firms. It is worth noting that crypto companies continue to look to sports to reach new audiences.

Twitter’s Legal Team Is Going To Sue Elon Musk For Pulling Out Of Deal

0

Twitter attorneys are gearing ready to push through a settlement with Elon Musk

Twitter, a social media platform, is reportedly considering filing a lawsuit against Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, as early as this week. Musk made public on July 8 his plan to back out of the $44 billion deal to purchase Twitter.

According to a story that was published by Bloomberg on July 10th, the corporation has retained the legal services of the corporate law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and plans to bring the matter before the Delaware Court of Chancery, which is a non-jury trial court in the state of Delaware that deals with issues related to corporate law.

Earlier on, the legal firm that represents the CEO of Tesla filed a letter to Twitter in which it said that Twitter seems to have made false and misleading promises when Musk agreed to acquire the business on April 25 and that it has broken several clauses of the original agreement. The letter was delivered in response to Twitter’s denial of the allegations.

Concerns have been raised by Musk’s team over spam bots on the platform, and the crypto enthusiast has long been threatening to back out of the arrangement if the firm is unable to demonstrate that fewer than 5 percent of its daily active users are spam bots.

Crypto Twitter Is Not Happy With Elon’s Decision

Musk’s move to walk away from owning Twitter has generally made the network’s crypto community unhappy, who backed his intentions to eliminate all spam and scam bot accounts from the microblogging platform. Musk has said that one of his core plans is to remove all spam and scam bot accounts from Twitter.

A survey conducted by the cryptocurrency trading platform OKX on July 8 indicated that 38.8 percent of respondents believed that the growth of spam bots would be detrimental to Crypto Twitter in the event that Elon Musk abandoned his quest. Nonetheless, the plurality of respondents, 40.4%, said that they didn’t care.

Bitcoin’s Social Media Sentiment Sees Record Levels Of Optimism: Santiment

Optimism spikes as the markets await inflation data.

Santiment Feed, in a tweet on Monday, reveals that social media users are very optimistic about Bitcoin going into the week; according to Santiment, it is the highest level since the first dip after the asset formed an all-time high in November.

“Bitcoin’s social sentiment is seeing an unprecedented level of optimism this week as we head into the second half of July and the Fed’s next decision. An ideal setup would be the crowd remaining skeptical as prices climb with little resistance,” Santiment tweeted.

Notably, following such optimism in November, the digital asset started a massive correction spanning over eight months.

It is worth noting that the US Labor Department is set to release inflation data for June this week. Notably, pundits expect a 1.1% month-on-month increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), with an annual rate increase from 8.6% to 8.8%, far from the 2% target set by the Fed.

Consequently, pundits believe we will see the Fed raising rates again in the next FOMC meeting. It is worth noting that last month, the Fed decided to raise rates by 75 basis points, the highest rate hike since November 1994. Notably, the rate hike fueled recession speculations.

However, Fed Chair Jerome Powell had tried to ease such concerns by noting that he doesn’t expect the Fed to raise rates often by that magnitude in the future. Consequently, Powell’s statements temporarily boosted the crypto and stock markets despite the significant rate hikes.

It is worth noting that since the Fed adopted a hawkish stance in November, significant capital has left perceived risky assets, including the crypto markets. As a result, about $2 trillion has been wiped off the entire crypto market cap since.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is down 3.33% in the last 24 hours and up 7.32% compared to the previous seven days. The leading digital asset is exchanging hands for $20,523 on mainstream exchanges. Galaxy Digital’s chief Mike Novogratz expects a massive crypto rally when the Fed starts easing its hawkish stance.
