Here Are the Projected Timelines for XRP to Reach $501 and $2,406

0

XRP continues to trade around $3, but leading crypto exchange Changelly believes the coin could someday reach lofty heights in the triple and even four-digit range.

In a detailed report, the exchange shared ambitious timelines for when it believes XRP could trade above $500 and even $2,400. Interestingly, these XRP price projections are not unheard of within the crypto community.

Many influential voices in the XRP space have debated the coin’s potential to reach triple and even five-digit valuations in the future. For example, widely followed American wealth mentor Linda Jones believes XRP could surpass $100. DAG Managing Director Jake Claver has even suggested that XRP reaching $10,000 is possible.

While many agree that XRP could be worth more in the future, there is considerable disagreement about the timeline. Changelly contributes to the discussion by issuing specific projections.

When Could XRP Reach $501 and $2,406?

According to Changelly, XRP could be trading at $501.59 by February 2040, less than 15 years from now. Considering XRP’s current price of around $3, this would represent a massive gain of 17,499.7%.

In the same month, Changelly projects XRP will have a minimum price of $414.86 and an average price of $436.40.

Notably, the exchange suggests XRP could hit a maximum price of $2,406 by December 2040. This would translate to an extraordinary 84,321.1% return on investment for current holders.

Changelly expects XRP to enter the four-digit price range as early as May 2040 and continue progressing through the end of the year. The lowest price it projects for that year is $257.34.

The Journey to $501 and $2,406 for XRP

To reach $501 and $2,406 by 2040, XRP would require significant growth—17,499.7% and 84,321.1%, respectively. While these projections are undeniably ambitious, it’s worth noting that XRP surged by over 75,000% between 2017 and 2018—though it later fell by more than 95%.

This historical volatility partially supports the possibility of another aggressive price surge. However, as a cryptocurrency’s market cap matures into the billion- or trillion-dollar range, its growth trajectory typically slows down.

At a price of $500, XRP’s market cap would exceed $29.75 trillion, surpassing gold’s current estimated valuation of $22 trillion—though gold itself could be worth more by 2040.

At $2,406, XRP’s market cap would soar to an astronomical $142.9 trillion, surpassing the total current value of the global stock market.

For comparison, Telegaon projects Bitcoin to trade at over $2.5 million per coin by 2040, equating to a market cap of about $53 trillion. Changelly even offers a more aggressive forecast of $5,668,414 per BTC by 2040, which implies a market cap of $119 trillion.

Despite these bold projections for Bitcoin, XRP’s projected $2,406 price would still imply a higher market cap of $143 trillion—an outcome many experts see as highly unrealistic.

Timelines for XRP to Reach $501 and $2,406 per ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Grok

ChatGPT suggests XRP could reach $501.29 between 2040 and 2050, but emphasizes that this is purely speculative. It considers $2,406 to be unrealistic and offers no timeline for that target.

ChatGPT Suggestion on XRP reachign $501 and $2,406
ChatGPT Suggestion on XRP reaching $501 and $2,406

Google Gemini declined to provide a specific timeline, stating that such projections are far-fetched.

Grok AI stated that $501.59 might be possible between 2030 and 2035, but only under ideal market conditions.

Regarding $2,406, Grok said it is not realistically achievable within the next 10–20 years based on current data. It added that such a scenario would require unprecedented global adoption and market shifts, likely post-2040, if ever.

Here’s XRP Price if It Attracts 2% Allocation from Retirement Accounts Globally

0

XRP price may soar to an audacious two-digit level if it attracts up to 2% of the $60 trillion within retirement accounts globally.

Notably, we recently assessed this following a recent CNBC interview with Bill Miller IV, a Chartered Market Technician and portfolio manager at Miller Value Partners. Miller noted that Bitcoin may still be in the very early stages of adoption, even though the price recently pulled back from its peak of $124,000 to just over $108,000.

He noted several policy changes in the United States that could help bring in institutional money. He explained that the Federal Reserve recently ended its supervisory program on “novel activities,” which had placed limits on banks working with crypto.

Miller Sees Bitcoin Hitting $175,000

He also highlighted an executive order from President Trump that directed the Department of Labor to scrap rules that previously kept retirement accounts away from digital assets. Together, these moves could allow retirement funds, which manage about $60 trillion globally, to start considering crypto allocations.

He argued that the impact of even a small allocation could be massive. Specifically, he said a 1% allocation from retirement funds would add about $30,000 to Bitcoin’s price. Meanwhile, with a 2% allocation, Bitcoin could climb to $175,000.

For context, Bitcoin currently has a market cap of $2.16 trillion, as it trades for $108,500. An increase in price to $175,000 would push its market cap to $3.483 trillion. This translates to an additional $1.323 trillion in value from the 2% allocation.

XRP Price If It Attracted a Similar Allocation

Meanwhile, although Miller focused on Bitcoin, the same scenario could have similar effects on altcoins like XRP. Currently, XRP has a market cap of $167 billion and trades at $2.82, with a circulating supply of roughly 59.48 billion tokens.

If it received the same $1.323 trillion boost Miller calculated for Bitcoin, XRP’s total value would reach about $1.49 trillion. At that level, the price would jump to nearly $25.

Notably, while such an allocation may sound far-fetched, some analysts already believe an XRP rally beyond $25 is feasible. For instance, market watcher EGRAG Crypto recently argued that XRP could rally as high as $27 this cycle, rejecting claims that it might only top out around $4.

RLUSD and RWA Tokenization Utility Shine on the XRP Ledger for Q2 2025: Messari Report

0

Prominent analytical firm Messari released a detailed report on the state of the XRP ecosystem in the second quarter of the year.

The report highlighted a general growth in the ecosystem as its use cases continue to gain recognition in the global financial scene. Notably, Messari identified breakthroughs in infrastructure and programmability, as well as a broader growth in the XRP and RLUSD market caps.

XRP Price and Market Cap Growth

Notably, one of the major highlights was the appreciable expansion in the XRP market cap. The token’s circulating market cap closed at $132 billion in Q2 2025, representing an 8.5% increase from the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, prices surged with the valuation change, with XRP closing at $2.24, marking a 7.1% change from the first quarter of the year. Notably, the price of XRP reached a high of $2.65 in May but subsequently retraced to the closing price, according to data.

Remarkably, XRP has surpassed that level to reach multi-year highs, hitting $3.66 in July before consolidating to its current price of $2.82. Its market cap has also improved from the closing Q2 valuation; it rallied to $216.69 billion, entering the top 100 assets in the world by the metric, but stands at $167.88 billion at the time of writing.

Despite the growth in price and market capitalization, revenue from transaction fees decreased from $1.1 million to $680,900 in Q2, primarily due to a decline in average daily transactions from 2 million to 1.6 million. However, it bears mentioning that the XRPL model does not prioritize revenue from transaction fees.

RLUSD and RWA Market Cap on XRP Ledger Rally

Meanwhile, Ripple USD (RLUSD) on the XRP Ledger also saw improvements quarter over quarter, as it continues to penetrate the blossoming stablecoin market. The dollar-pegged cryptocurrency’s market cap increased 49.4% in the second quarter to $65.9 million, making it the Ledger’s largest stablecoin.

Meanwhile, RLUSD on Ethereum also went parabolic, moving from around $200 million to nearly $390 million. The notable spike pushed the stablecoin’s valuation to $455.2 million at the close of the second quarter.

RLUSD Market Cap on the XRPL Ledger

RLUSD has continued to increase since then, up 16.49% in the past 30 days to $701.6 million. Currently, $85.9 million of its cap is on the XRP Ledger, while $615 million is on the Ethereum network.

In a separate development, the real-world asset (RWA) market cap on the XRP Ledger increased by 13% quarter-over-quarter to $131.6 million. The market infrastructure service provider, Montis Group Limited (MGL), launched by a partnership between Ripple and Archax, led the proceedings with $55.4 million.

In comparison, the Ondo Short-Term US Government Bond Fund (OUSG) ranked second with $30.1 million.

Screenshot 2025 08 30 104217
RWA Market Cap on the XRP Ledger/Messari

This highlights efforts to facilitate RWA tokenization on the XRP Ledger, aiming to enhance its institutional use case. Recall that Ripple projected that the tokenization market would reach an estimated $18.9 trillion by 2033, with Bitwise’s Matt Hougan calling XRP one of the cleanest means of exposure to the rapidly growing sector.

Other Notable XRP Ledger Development

Moreover, there were other notable developments in the XRP Ledger in the second quarter of 2025. For context, the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) sidechain launched on the XRP Ledger on June 30, a move that bridged programmability to the Ledger mainnet.

The launch came on the heels of a partnership between Ripple and Wormhole to introduce multi-chain interoperability to the XRP ledger and the EVM sidechain. The integration enabled the Ledger to connect with over 35 blockchains, thereby enhancing its adoption.

Additionally, the XAO DAO debuted as an autonomous XRPL community organization, empowering decentralized governance. The DAO would also allocate grants for ecosystem development.

Canary Capital CEO Insists XRP ETFs Will Do $5B Inflow in First Month, Outperform Ethereum ETFs

0

Canary Capital CEO remains confident that the XRP ETFs will be an instant success, proposing possible outperformance of the Ethereum ETF.

Steve McClurg has some bold predictions for the US XRP spot ETF. In a Friday interview, he reaffirmed his projection that the funds tracking the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap would attract $5 billion in inflows in their first month of launch.

XRP ETFs to Attract $5B in First Month

The Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded a net inflow of $1.46 billion in January 2024, according to data from Sosovaliue. While some may argue that it was not a full month’s inflow, as the ETFs started trading on January 11, 2024, the ETFs had a cumulative net inflow of $3.26 billion as of February 12, 2024, a month later.

On the other hand, the Ethereum spot ETFs saw a net outflow of $483 million in July 2024 and a net outflow of $5.70 million exactly one month after their debut. Notably, a considerable factor contributing to these underwhelming statistics was the outflows from the Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE).

However, the Canary CEO expects the XRP spot ETFs to become the best-performing investment product once they finally launch. He suggested that the ETFs would outdo both the Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs with a $5 billion inflow in the first month.

Meanwhile, the comments come as the chances of an XRP ETF in 2025 continue to rise. Barron shared that the chances of their launch this year stood at 86%—currently at 87%—suggesting increased confidence among market users.

McClurg agrees with this optimistic outlook, suggesting that XRP, along with other assets like HBAR, Litecoin, and Solana, will launch before the end of 2025. He also added that the existence of the XRP futures products further enhances their likelihood of entering the market before year end.

XRP to Outperform Ethereum ETFs

Meanwhile, the Canary Capital CEO went further to predict that the XRP ETFs would outperform the Ethereum spot ETFs, citing several reasons. First, he noted that aside from Bitcoin, XRP is the most popular token on Wall Street, a factor that would drive its instant ETF success.

Notably, the XRP community is one of the most vibrant in the crypto space, and demand for the XRPL native token is massive. Teucrium CEO Sal Gilbertie attested to this in a recent interview, noting that they call it the XRP Army for a reason.

Additionally, McClurg believes that XRP ETFs would outperform their Ethereum counterparts simply from a “pure financial services” standpoint. This aligns with his earlier statement that XRP has a clear and somewhat distinct use case in the payment industry.

While some argue that XRP has a contender, the token is a leader in the cross-border settlement scene. Its clear financial utility could ensure that an XRP-focused investment vehicle attracts better inflows than Ethereum did.

Interestingly, an earlier report highlighted that the price of XRP would see notable upside if XRP ETFs record the projected $5 billion inflow. Specifically, it could reach $26 per coin, with a market cap of $1.36 trillion.

Here’s How High XRP Could Reach If Escrow Burn Sparks a Price Rally

0

With Ripple now holding over 35% of the total XRP supply in escrow, what could XRP price surge to if a burn of the escrow triggers a mega bull run?

Notably, XRP’s total supply currently stands at about 99.985 billion tokens. Of this figure, Ripple controls 35.608 billion in escrow accounts, while 64.362 billion tokens circulate in the market.

Could Ripple Burn Its XRP Escrow?

Amid the current supply setup, discussions around Ripple’s balance have emerged within the XRP community. Many community members believe Ripple should burn its escrow balance. These individuals often argue that the move would create scarcity and push the price higher.

However, Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, disagrees with this idea. He has dismissed the idea that an escrow burn would guarantee a rally. Instead, he believes it could only lead to a waste of money. Specifically, burning Ripple’s escrow at today’s price would lead to the loss of nearly $107 billion.

Schwartz often points to Stellar’s decision in 2019 to cut its circulating supply by half. Notably, Stellar’s move failed to boost the token, and XLM continued to struggle. This instance leaves a big question mark over how XRP would react if Ripple decided to wipe out its escrow.

To have an idea, we asked Google Gemini what might happen if Ripple eliminated all 35.6 billion tokens in escrow, and the market responded with a bullish wave.

XRP Price if an Escrow Burn Triggers a Bull Run

Responding, Gemini described such a move as a game-changer for XRP. According to the chatbot, this comes down to simple economics. When you slash supply but keep demand steady or rising, the price usually climbs.

Gemini compared this possibility to Shiba Inu’s dramatic run. When Vitalik Buterin burned a massive portion of SHIB, the supply shock fueled a 420% rally as investors rushed in, afraid of missing out.

Right now, XRP trades for $2.82. Gemini explained that if Ripple destroyed the escrow, the total supply would shrink to the same 64.362 billion already in circulation, instantly making XRP more scarce.

From there, Gemini presented a few scenarios. First, if XRP repeated SHIB’s 420% surge, its price could leap from $3.01 to roughly $12.64, with a market cap climbing past $813 billion. However, the chatbot admitted that this kind of spike would be extreme and would only happen under very specific market conditions.

It then presented a less bullish scenario. According to the chatbot, if XRP doubled or tripled in value after the burn, which is likely to be the most realistic reaction, its price would land between $6.02 and $9.03. Nonetheless, this outcome still relies on the market reacting positively, because a smaller supply alone doesn’t guarantee growth.

Essentially, Gemini believes a complete escrow burn could light up XRP’s price and possibly push it as high as $12.64 in the best-case scenario. Meanwhile, more realistic targets sit in the $6 to $9 range. Still, the analysis makes clear that nothing is certain in crypto.

Pundit Points to XRP in Ripple Escrow as White House Confirms Plans to Expand Stakes in Private Firms

0

A pundit has floated the possibility of the U.S. government taking over the XRP in Ripple escrow, as the White House recently confirmed plans to buy into more private companies.

Government to Expand Stakes in Private Firms

For context, Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, noted on Monday that Washington intends to follow the same path it took with Intel. Last week, the government secured nearly a 10% share in the semiconductor company, tying the deal to earlier grant awards.

Hassett described that move as the first step toward building a sovereign wealth fund, an idea President Donald Trump has continued to support. He stressed that more deals like Intel’s could surface in other industries as part of the administration’s push to expand the fund.

President Trump defended the Intel purchase on Truth Social, rejecting claims that the White House was interfering too heavily in the private sector. Notably, the announcement also landed amid Congress’s introduction of the Freedom from Government Competition Act of 2025.

Lawmakers designed the bill to reduce direct government competition with private businesses by requiring federal agencies to source goods and services from private suppliers. The measure remains in committee and has yet to move forward.

Could the Government Look to the XRP in Ripple Escrow?

As the discussion over government ownership emerged, Zach Rector highlighted Ripple. Specifically, he asked whether Washington could eventually eye Ripple’s escrowed XRP if it wanted to expand its holdings beyond traditional companies. Notably, Ripple currently controls 35.6 billion XRP locked across 14 wallets, a stash worth about $100 billion.

Rector’s remarks revived speculation that first emerged earlier this year when the U.S. announced its plan for a strategic digital asset reserve. While the government added XRP, it ruled out purchasing XRP to fill the reserve. However, market pundits have continued to ask whether the XRP in Ripple escrow could serve as a potential source.

Mounting Speculations

Amid the discussions, Vet, a validator on the XRPL’s default unique node list, explained in March how Ripple could hand over control of its escrow without waiting for tokens to unlock.

According to him, Ripple could simply change the regular key on the escrow accounts, effectively shifting ownership to the U.S. government or another entity in one transaction. While he confirmed it is technically possible, Vet expressed doubts that such an arrangement would ever take place.

Meanwhile, in February, before the announcement of the XRP’s inclusion in the reserve, attorney Jeremy Hogan argued that Washington would view XRP through the lens of national strategy rather than blockchain philosophy.

Hogan floated the idea of a possible government seizure of escrowed XRP, similar to past measures such as the 1933 gold confiscation. He said that if leaders believed XRP provided a hedge against global risks, they would not hesitate to act, either by taking Ripple itself or by controlling its escrow.

Moreover, after Judge Analisa Torres denied a joint request from Ripple and the SEC for an indicative ruling in June, Brad Kimes, founder of Digital Perspectives, speculated that the ruling might have opened the door for Washington to eventually claim Ripple’s escrow. Nonetheless, some dismissed this claim as a stretch.

Is Elon Musk Back for Dogecoin as His Lawyer is Set to Chair a $200M DOGE Treasury Company?

0

Elon Musk’s personal attorney, Alex Spiro, is reportedly set to serve as chairman of an upcoming Dogecoin-focused treasury firm.

According to six sources, an unnamed entity is pitching a Dogecoin treasury company to investors. Fortune reported that three out of the six sources were among the investors who received pitches about the Dogecoin treasury company. However, the other three learned about the initiative from involved parties.

Notably, the firm plans to raise $200 million to buy and hold Dogecoin as a reserve asset, potentially benefiting from the asset’s price appreciation. Three sources confirmed that the Miami-based Dogecoin corporate entity, House of Doge, supports the initiative.

Musk’s Lawyer to Chair Venture

Interestingly, Alex Spiro, Elon Musk’s personal attorney, is expected to serve as the chairman of the $200 million Dogecoin treasury company. Although it is unclear whether Musk is directly involved in the project, Spiro’s participation signals a strong connection to the American businessman and billionaire.

In the meantime, Spiro, Musk, and House of Doge have yet to release official statements confirming the Dogecoin treasury initiative.

Launched in 2013, Dogecoin became the first-ever meme coin — a cryptocurrency created as a joke. However, it has gained widespread popularity and even attracted the attention of Musk, whose tweets and public remarks have sparked massive rallies for the token.

In 2022, several months after DOGE plunged from its May 2021 all-time high, some aggrieved investors accused the billionaire of manipulating the Dogecoin market and making huge gains from his viral posts.

As in other lawsuits, Spiro served as Musk’s defense attorney in the case and eventually had the case dismissed in 2024. Following the dismissal, Spiro said it was a “good day for Dogecoin.”

Musk Still Supports Dogecoin

Since the lawsuit, Musk has reduced his Dogecoin-related posts, but many still refer to him as “the Dogefather,” a title he created in 2021 during a Saturday Night Live (SNL) show. His electric car company, Tesla, continues to accept Dogecoin as payment for select merchandise available on its online store.

The potential Dogecoin treasury initiative under Spiro’s leadership aligns with the broader trend of public companies incorporating crypto assets into their balance sheets. It first began in 2020 after MicroStrategy (now Strategy) bought and held Bitcoin as a reserve asset.

Since then, more companies have established similar initiatives for other cryptocurrency assets. Yesterday, Gumi, a gaming company in Japan, announced plans to buy and hold $17 million worth of XRP, starting next month.

Here’s What a $25,000 in Shiba Inu Today Could Be Worth at $0.00015

0

A $25,000 in Shiba Inu today could deliver massive returns if the token rallies to $0.00015.

The Shiba Inu community is filled with numerous bullish predictions for the Alt Season, which many expect to play out before the year ends.  Most predictions suggest that Shiba Inu would reach at least $0.0001, marking a new all-time high for the token. Some even predicted that Shiba Inu would surpass $0.0001 to loftier targets like $0.00015 over the next few years.

How Much SHIB Will $25K Capital Fetch?

Here, we calculated the value of $25,000 in Shiba Inu if SHIB eventually reaches the $0.00015 target.

At the current price of $0.00001228, investors would acquire 1,882,530,120 (1.88 billion) SHIB tokens for $25,000. If they had invested this capital in December when SHIB reached a multi-year high of $0.0003329, they would have procured only 750,976,269 (750.97 million) SHIB. This highlights that today’s price still presents investors with a favorable opportunity to accumulate SHIB at a relative bargain.

Investment Worth if Price Rises to $0.00015

As Shiba Inu rallies to the ambitious $0.00015 target, the value of this $25,000 investment will also skyrocket. At $0.00015, this 1.88 billion SHIB portfolio, currently valued at $25,000, will be worth $282,379, representing an ROI of over $257,000.

For context, the investment will only be worth $188,253 if the price reaches $0.0001 without rallying further. As lucrative as this analysis seems, Shiba Inu is not guaranteed to reach the $0.0001 target or the ambitious $0.00015 level.

Is $0.00015 Prediction Realistic?

Regardless, some analysts still consider the $0.00015 prediction a realistic target. In mid-August, pseudonymous expert Crypto Crew University forecasted that Shiba Inu could head toward a breakout target of $0.00015 so long as it overcomes a major resistance at $0.00001678.

As reported earlier, popular community analyst Javon Marks highlighted the widespread adoption of SHIB tokens among large holders. The expert forecasted that this trend could take SHIB’s price above $0.00015 to $0.0001553.

Last year, top market commentator Dexter set a long-term target of $0.00015 for Shiba Inu. However, he did not predict the exact timeline for SHIB to attain the price milestone. A Forbes article speculated that the $0.00015 prediction will come to fruition before the end of 2025, while also suggesting the token might climb as high as $0.0003 this year.

With just four months left in 2025, it remains uncertain whether Shiba Inu can achieve the ambitious $0.00015 target this year, which would require a 1,029% rally from its current price.

Here Is XRP Price If U.S. Banks Use XRP for Domestic Settlements

0

The price of XRP could scale up to three figures if banks in the United States adopt it for domestic settlements.

Notably, XRP trades around $2.82 today, yet many investors argue that the current price still does not reflect the real value of its role in payments despite an over 400% increase from its value a year ago.

US Banks Domestic Settlement Volume

The discussion has intensified as talks surface about U.S. banks potentially using XRP for domestic settlements. For context, Federal Reserve data shows that in 2024, banks moved about $28.27 trillion through the National Settlement Service (NSS).

This figure equals roughly $77.45 billion every single day. Specifically, the NSS processes this volume by handling the clearing and settlement of payments among U.S. banks, making it one of the most important systems in American finance.

Notably, the trend has pointed upward for years. In 2023, NSS volumes came in at $26.52 trillion, and earlier years recorded smaller but steady increases. By 2024, the total reached the $28.27 trillion figure, showing just how massive domestic settlement activity has become.

Meanwhile, with such high volumes flowing through the system, the idea of XRP stepping in as a settlement tool naturally triggers questions about how its price might respond.

Right now, XRP operates on a much smaller scale. It changes hands at $3, with a circulating supply of 59.48 billion coins and a market value of about $178.87 billion. Its daily trading volume averages $6.62 billion, far below the $77.45 billion that moves through NSS each day.

XRP Price if US Banks Adopt It for Settlement

To test the possible price impact if the NSS adopts it, we turned to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Notably, the chatbot compared XRP’s current trading activity with the NSS settlement benchmark. It found that XRP processes less than one-ninth of NSS daily volume.

If it scaled the price levels to match that gap, XRP would need to rise about 11.7 times from where it stands today. This calculation puts XRP at roughly $35 per token if it fully matched NSS’s daily settlement flows.

XRP Base Price Prediction ChatGPT
XRP Base Price Prediction | ChatGPT

However, ChatGPT noted that this $35 estimate only shows a linear projection. Notably, real markets do not always move so neatly. According to ChatGPT, if U.S. banks began using XRP, several extra factors could drive the price higher.

For instance, Banks would likely hold large amounts of XRP as reserves, taking coins out of circulation. It noted that this reduction in supply could tighten liquidity and create upward pressure. Moreover, speculation would also add to the bullish momentum.

ChatGPT pointed out that bullish conditions often push assets far beyond their baseline valuations, especially when a new use case emerges on a massive scale. If adoption happened, momentum, scarcity, and excitement together could lift XRP toward the $70 to $100 range.

Analyst Says XRP is Only Stalling Before Next Move, Predicts XRP/BTC to Hit 0.00013

0

A prominent market analyst suggests the recent XRP price struggle is only a pause before the next move against Bitcoin.

Notably, the broader crypto market has continued to witness bearish pressure amid consistent selloffs and waning sentiments. This trend has pushed XRP below the pivotal $3 mark, with the altcoin subsequently losing the support at $2.9 to trade at $2.8 at press time.

XRP’s Recent Performance Against Bitcoin

Also, XRP has faced a more bearish spell than Bitcoin, leading to a consistent collapse in the XRP/BTC pair. However, market analyst EGRAG Crypto suggests that this only represents a pause for XRP before its next breakout against Bitcoin.

The analyst shared a 1-month chart showing XRP’s current position against Bitcoin. For context, the XRP/BTC pair began August with a massive 5.93% collapse on the second day of the month, hitting a low of 0.00002440. Nonetheless, it recovered to a peak of 0.00002897 on Aug. 8 before the recent bearish spell that has dragged it to 0.00002596.

Now, XRP is down 0.54% against Bitcoin in August, but this might be a temporary bearish phase. According to EGRAG’s chart, the XRP/BTC pair is currently trading within a bull pennant that has lasted for eight months now.

XRP Forms Bull Pennant Against Bitcoin

For context, a bull pennant structure typically features an initial explosive run, which represents the flagpole, and an actual flag, which represents consolidation after the initial uptick. This formation indicates that instead of a breakdown, the asset is observing a short break before the next leg up.

With the XRP/BTC pair, the flagpole formed when XRP surged from 0.00000725 BTC in November 2024 to a high of 0.00003419 BTC by January 2025. This aligned with the XRP run from $0.5 to $3.4 within the same period.

XRP Bull Pennant Against Bitcoin EGRAG Crypto
XRP Bull Pennant Against Bitcoin | EGRAG Crypto

After this initial run, the XRP/BTC pair retraced as XRP took a breather, but XRP’s resilience ensured there was no massive crash to earlier lows, with the pair trading within a range of 0.00003288 and 0.00001928 for eight months. This price action has formed the flag itself, as XRP establishes strong support around the 0.00002 BTC mark.

Despite the recent drop, XRP still holds within the flag, awaiting the next leg up to break out. As a result, EGRAG insists that with this current bearish price action, XRP is merely “stalling before the move.” Notably, this expected move would push XRP above the upper trendline of the flag, with a break beyond the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement at 0.00002893 BTC.

XRPBTC Breakout Target

Following this move, a retracement would likely occur to retest this breakout before a full launch to greater heights. Interestingly, EGRAG has identified three lofty targets for this upward push using Fibonacci extension levels.

Specifically, the first target sits at 0.00007262 BTC, aligning with the 1.272 Fibonacci extension. At this price, XRP would trade for $7.87, considering Bitcoin’s current price of $108,500. Meanwhile, the second target lies on the Fib. 1.414 extension, aligning with 0.00009502. This translates to an XRP price of $10.3 at current BTC price levels.

For his ultimate target, EGRAG eyes the 1.618 Fibonacci extension, which would put XRP at 0.0001398 BTC. The last time the XRPBTC pair traded around this level was in January 2018, when XRP hit $3.3 as BTC changed hands at lower prices. Today, with BTC trading for $108,500, if XRP hits 0.0001398 BTC, its price would shoot up to $15.1.
