China Merchants Bank’s CMB International Launches Bitcoin and Crypto Trading Services

0

CMB International Securities, the investment arm of China Merchants Bank, has rolled out Bitcoin trading services for its clients.

According to a local report, the announcement came on August 18, 2025, making CMB International the first securities firm affiliated with a Chinese bank to launch digital asset trading in Hong Kong under a fully regulated framework.

Details of the Crypto Trading Service

Notably, per the report, the new service will allow clients to trade three crypto assets: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDT), with no details on whether the firm plans to expand the offering in the future.

The service is available through the company’s mobile app and runs around the clock, giving clients direct access to crypto markets while keeping them within Hong Kong’s regulatory standards.

To gain access, investors must complete full Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering checks before trading, an effort to comply with the city’s strict oversight of digital assets. CMB International secured the necessary licenses from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission last year, as it prepared for the recent launch.

Moreover, the platform uses cold wallets, real-time risk monitoring, and independent audits to strengthen trust and safeguard client funds. CMB International has also formed a technical partnership with OKX Planet, which supplies liquidity and trading engine support. The company also plans to push further into blockchain-based products, including a tokenized money market fund.

Hong Kong Moving On as China Lags

Notably, this shows the contrast in the crypto regulatory atmosphere between Hong Kong and mainland China. While Hong Kong has embraced digital assets under clear regulatory rules, mainland authorities still ban cryptocurrency-related activities, calling them illegal financial transactions.

Industry lawyers have warned mainland residents to stay cautious, but they also note that CMB International’s example shows how Chinese financial groups can expand offshore in a compliant way.

Global Institutional Bitcoin Adoption Soars

The launch mirrors a global trend where major banks are moving deeper into crypto. In the United States, JPMorgan Chase plans to let customers purchase digital assets through Coinbase in a recent collaboration, while PNC Bank announced a similar partnership last month. Standard Chartered has already started offering spot Bitcoin and Ether trading to institutional clients in the UK.

Morgan Stanley, through E*Trade, is preparing to introduce crypto trading in 2026, and Deutsche Bank, together with Germany’s savings banks, is building regulated custody and trading platforms set to go live by mid-2026.

Compared with Europe and the US, China has moved more cautiously, but Hong Kong’s efforts to become an international hub are now encouraging its financial giants to act. Other firms, including Guotai Junan International and Tianfeng International, have already applied for license upgrades and may soon launch similar services.

Bitcoin Wallets Between 3 and 5-Years Old Awake to Move 31,968 BTC: Here’s How Prices Have Reacted Historically

0

The market reacted as long-term Bitcoin holders awakened to move billions of dollars’ worth of BTC over the weekend.

A prominent market analyst highlighted this in a recent commentary on the back of an unexpected bearish turn of events for Bitcoin. The crypto leader’s short-lived push to $118,000 on Sunday sparked optimism, but BTC quickly retreated to a low of $114,750 today.

Long-Term Bitcoin Holders Resurrect

CryptoQuant analyst JA Maartunn, who shared this in an August 17 commentary, revealed that 3 to 5-year-old Bitcoin wallets reawakened from dormancy and moved a staggering 31,968 BTC ($3.7 billion) on August 16. This was a rare on-chain occurrence, as the Bitcoin Spent Output Age Band suggests, and is the first shift of that magnitude since June 2024.

Bitcoin Spent Output Age Bands/CryptoQuant

Notably, such movement often suggests increasing selling pressure among HODLers. Maartunn also aligns with this sentiment, further highlighting that such shifts make a key turning point in the market trend.

Historical Moves and Impact on Bitcoin Price

For context, the research shared that whales aged 3 to 5 years moved 33,803 BTC on 24 January 2024, marking Bitcoin’s bottom. BTC traded close to $40,000 at the time and has never retested the price level since then.

A similar move occurred on 23 March 2024, where this address bracket moved 95,090 BTC. This marked a local top for Bitcoin as it dropped from a new all-time high of $73,700 attained a few days earlier.

On 22 June 2024, 43,641 BTC moved from these long-term holders, which added further selling pressure to the market following a consolidatory run. A similar shift happened on 30 July 2024, with a 29,994 BTC move marking a local top.

Additionally, they transferred 23,012 BTC on 24 December 2024 after Bitcoin’s initial rally to six-figure values, which also marked a local top. As a result, he emphasized that the market would make a move after the August 16 development.

Market Takes a Downward Turn

Meanwhile, the market has taken a downward turn since the whale transactions, correcting 3% from a high of $118,624 to its current price of $115,053. This further adds to the distance between BTC and its new all-time high of $124,457.

Notably, Bitcoin has been on a downtrend since the high last week, currently trading 7.5% away from there. Today’s correction has spiked liquidation to $576 million in the past 24 hours, as market observers point to overleveraging.

Notwithstanding, some still insist the mid and long-term trajectory for Bitcoin remains positive. For instance, Canary Capital CEO Steven McClurg claimed that there is a 50% chance that Bitcoin will hit $150,000 this year.

BTCS Becomes First Public Company to Pay Ethereum Dividends

0

Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company BTCS has unveiled a historic dividend program that will enable it to reward shareholders in Ethereum.

BTCS unveiled the initiative today, revealing plans to pay shareholders a one-time dividend (Bividend) of $0.05 per share in ETH.

The so-called Bividend will be issued to shareholders who hold BTCS stock as of September 26, 2025, designated as the record date for this offering.

The ETH reward will be based on the USD/ETH exchange rate on the record date. To receive dividends in ETH, shareholders are required to select this option and complete a formal verification process. Meanwhile, shareholders who don’t opt in will receive a $0.05 cash dividend.

The procedure of getting ETH payouts requires shareholders to input their names, e-mail, phone number, and Ethereum wallet address in the opt-in form.

Ethereum Loyalty Payment

Interestingly, BTCS also announced another special package, which comes in the form of an Ethereum loyalty payment. Notably, the crypto mining company intends to pay an additional $0.35 per share in ETH to certain shareholders.

According to the announcement, this one-time payment of $0.35 in ETH will be distributed to shareholders who transfer and hold their shares directly with BTCS’ transfer agent.

This offer is only available to shareholders who hold their BTCS shares with the transfer agent from the record date of September 26, 2025, to January 26, 2026. Only shareholders of BTCS Common Stock are eligible for the loyalty payment. However, an announcement on the company’s website specified that employees and directors at BTCS are excluded from the offer.

Reason Behind ETH Dividends

With the additional loyalty Ethereum payment, BTCS is offering a total of $0.40 per share in ETH to eligible investors. The rationale behind the loyalty payment is to reward long-term BTCS investors with Ethereum payouts. Notably, BTCS expects its latest offering to deter long-term investors from lending their shares to short-term sellers.

Thanks to the latest offering, BTCS claims it is currently the first publicly traded company globally to reward shareholders in Ethereum. BTCS touts itself as the first crypto-related company to debut on the American stock exchange since December 2010.

Expectedly, its stock price reacted positively to the news, soaring to a daily high of $4.67. However, it had lost some of its gains in the hours leading up to press time, dropping to $4.5.

It is worth noting that BTCS is a major Ethereum proponent and has adopted the second-biggest cryptocurrency as a treasury asset. In May, it announced an ETH purchase of roughly $60 million.

Shiba Inu Stuck Between $0.000012–$0.000013: Can SHIB Reclaim $0.00008845

0

As the second half of 2025 gradually winds down, some investors are beginning to wonder whether Shiba Inu can reclaim its all-time high (ATH) before the year ends.

For context, Shiba Inu reached its peak price of $0.00008845 on October 28, 2021, nearly four years ago, during the 2020/2021 bull cycle. Since then, SHIB’s value has dropped significantly and currently hovers around the $0.000012 level.

Despite this, many remain confident that Shiba Inu could revisit its previous ATH, or even surpass it, before the end of the year.

Shiba Inu Stuck at $0.000012 – $0.000013 Region

However, SHIB has remained stuck within the $0.000012 – $0.000013 price range this month. Every attempt to break out of this narrow band has been met with strong resistance.

On August 14, when Bitcoin set a new all-time high at $124,457, Shiba Inu briefly surged to $0.000014, but the momentum was short-lived. The asset quickly retreated back to $0.000013.

With SHIB consolidating within this tight range, investors are beginning to question the coin’s ability to revisit its previous ATH this year.

Path to Previous ATH

At the time of writing, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00001255—down 17.01% over the past month, 7.48% in the past week, and 4.49% in the past 24 hours.

To revisit its previous ATH of $0.00008845, SHIB would need to rally 604.78% from its current level. This would push its market cap to approximately $52.12 billion, assuming the supply remains at around 589.25 trillion tokens.

Potential Factors to Help SHIB Revisit ATH

Several factors could help Shiba Inu reclaim or even surpass its previous all-time high

Revive Community Engagement

First, SHIB needs the same level of community engagement that propelled its price during the 2020/2021 cycle. The community played a crucial role in that rally by being highly active on social media, promoting SHIB’s potential, and lobbying for exchange listings.

That enthusiasm has cooled off in recent times. A revival in grassroots community efforts could reignite momentum for a major rally.

Token Burns

Another strategy to boost SHIB’s price is to reduce its supply through token burns. While several initiatives, such as burning a portion of Shibarium gas fees, are in place, the total burned supply has remained relatively stagnant at around 410 trillion since May 2021.

A renewed and more aggressive burn campaign could help propel SHIB back toward the $0.00008845 level.

Creating Real-World Utility for SHIB

While token burns can help reduce supply, the community is also calling on the development team to focus on creating real-world utility for SHIB.

This involves integrating SHIB into products, tools, and ecosystems. Such integration would drive stronger demand, ultimately boosting its value.

Spot SHIB ETF

Despite its popularity, Shiba Inu has yet to see a single spot ETF application filed in the U.S. Asset managers such as Bitwise have shown no interest. Meanwhile, the SEC is currently reviewing ETF applications for other meme tokens like Dogecoin and Official Trump.

A spot SHIB ETF could provide institutional investors with exposure to the asset, potentially driving demand and helping fuel a rally back to its ATH.

The Team’s Identity

The anonymity of Shiba Inu’s development team has kept some investors on the sidelines. While anonymity wasn’t a major concern during the project’s early days, some community members are now raising concerns.

Revealing the identities of the developers could reignite confidence and attract renewed interest in the project.

Here’s Why XRP Didn’t Skyrocket After the SEC Ended the Ripple Lawsuit

0

XRP has slipped below a long-standing psychological support, just a week after Ripple and the U.S. SEC officially ended their nearly five-year legal battle.

Many had expected the lawsuit’s conclusion to trigger an explosive rally. Instead, XRP has struggled to hold above the key $3 psychological level. This has left traders questioning what comes next.

SEC Case Ends, But Momentum Fades

For context, last week, Ripple and the SEC jointly filed to dismiss their appeal and cross-appeal in the Second Circuit, formally closing the case that began in December 2020. The legal development initially pushed XRP as high as $3.38, marking a double-digit rally. However, those gains quickly faded, with XRP retracing below $3 today.

Community Reactions

Taking to X, one XRP enthusiast asked why XRP didn’t skyrocket following the SEC news. In response, crypto commentator Zach Humphries noted that much of the optimism around Ripple’s legal victory had already been priced in earlier, especially after Trump’s re-election boosted expectations for a more crypto-friendly regulatory environment.

Specifically, he pointed out that XRP had already posted a 5x surge in just five weeks following Trump’s return to office.

The sentiment suggests XRP’s price action followed the “buy the rumor, sell the news” pattern, where the final announcement merely meets the expectations of those already positioned for it, leaving little room for surprise. The public already knew Ripple and the SEC were due to update the court on the status of their appeal this month.

As a result, the dismissal of the appeal was widely anticipated and not nearly as impactful as the July 2023 ruling that XRP was not a security—a surprise that sent the price surging 100% in a single day.

“Now We Need More Than Speculation”

Meanwhile, Humphries emphasized that speculation alone won’t drive XRP higher. He believes XRP’s next major move depends on real institutional support, particularly U.S. banks integrating Ripple’s solutions and the company delivering tokenization-as-a-service to financial institutions.

Essentially, XRP’s sluggish performance suggests that legal clarity alone isn’t enough. To reignite momentum, Ripple will need to turn regulatory wins into adoption wins, securing partnerships with major financial institutions.

Notably, the firm has been pursuing this strategy even before the lawsuit’s resolution. However, the impact on XRP’s price remains minimal so far.

Bulls Still See Higher Targets

Despite the muted reaction, analysts remain optimistic. Analyst Dark Defender dismissed skepticism about XRP’s prospects. He called it “naive” to assume the token will linger around $3 without eventually breaking higher.

Other voices, such as Mario Nawfal and Ali Martinez, project targets of $10–$12 if broader crypto markets rally. Patrick Riley and Dustin Layton expect XRP to reach $30–$50 before the end of 2025. Some, like Versan Aljarrah, place long-term price predictions in the thousands of dollars.

Analyst Says Shiba Inu Will Soon Surprise Us with Weekly 100% Candles

0

With the optimism of strong support levels for Shiba Inu (SHIB), an analyst has predicted a price rebound to multi-year price highs.

Shiba Inu has corrected 4.35% in the past 24 hours, joining a broader market sideways trend. The downside brings its seven-day retracement to 7.35% and year-to-date to 40.5%, as the meme coin continues to trade outside the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap.

Nonetheless, analyst MMB Trader believes that Shiba Inu would regain bullish momentum if it successfully retests its weekly support levels. In a TradingView analysis, he expressed optimism that SHIB would, in the near term, shrug off sideways trends and surprise the market with massive weekly rallies.

Shiba Inu Weekly Support Is Strong

For context, the market commentator highlighted that the weekly support at $0.000010 and $0.000007 is strong enough to hold any downward momentum, a conception he formed from past events. Notably, the major support at $0.000007 provided a cushion for SHIB during its steep decline during the Shiba Inu bear market.

The meme coin fell to $0.00000714 in July 2022, a 91.9% decline from its 2021 peak price of $0.00008854. While it bounced from the support, it retested the price mark again in June and October 2023. However, even at this point, bears still could not break below the strong demand wall.

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu broke out in late February 2024, rallying from $0.00000967 to a high of $0.00004567 on March 5, 2024, during the meme coin mania of the time. Faced by insurmountable resistance, Shiba Inu retreated to another strong weekly support at $0.00001078 over five months.

The support, coupled with a broader market uptrend, spurred Shiba Inu’s rebound to $0.00003343 in December 2024 before another rejection. Since then, SHIB has retested the $0.000010 support a couple of times, specifically in March, April, and June this year, and has rebounded at each revisit.

SHIB 100% Weekly Candle Incoming?

With his confidence in the two weekly supports, the analyst predicted that either of them would end Shiba Inu’s bearish trend if it reached them. In any situation, however, he asserted a change of course for the meme coin, asserting it will surprise the market with 100% weekly candlesticks.

In his first bullish case, he predicted that SHIB would break out from a descending trendline to its first target of $0.00003364. This represents a 169% price surge from its current market price of $0.00001249.

Shiba Inu Analysis/MMBTarder
Shiba Inu Analysis/MMBTarder

Subsequently, he expects a rally to $0.00005480, a price mark it last saw in 2021. The uptick culminates in a 338% growth. Ultimately, he predicts a 517% upsurge to $0.00007716.

Interestingly, this aligns with a price prediction from market watcher Hunters Company, who called Shiba Inu a good buy, suggesting it is going to $0.00007380. Analyst PouyanTradeFX also forecasted a similar price outlook for Shiba Inu in December 2024, predicting a surge to $0.000074.

Top Investor Reveals How Long Before XRP Reaches $60

0

Widely followed investor Paul Barron has shared his view on XRP breaking into the double-digit price range someday.

This came during a recent podcast featuring Rupert from Allin Crypto. Rupert highlighted that crypto markets, often driven by human behavior, are entering a critical stage.

While activity in the altcoin space has been slower recently, he suggested that September could mark a turning point with the potential approval of spot ETFs. Rupert noted that historically, ETF approval news and their effectiveness in driving investment have sparked strong price reactions, particularly for Bitcoin.

Meanwhile, he emphasized that Bitcoin’s four-year cycle continues to influence the market, though altcoins are beginning to show independent momentum. As Bitcoin dominance trends downward, Ethereum and other altcoins are gaining strength, gradually leading to the altcoin season.

You’re Not Bullish Enough on XRP

In this context, Rupert highlighted XRP’s unique position, stating that the market is underestimating its potential.

“XRP has a kind of unique positioning with regard to its own specific news. I don’t think people are bullish enough. In fact, I think you’re going to see insane things,” he said.

Building on this bullish outlook, Rupert predicted XRP could reach $19.27 in the near term. Notably, XRP is currently trading at $2.95, and reaching this lofty target would require a growth of 553%. This would also give XRP a a new all-time high valuation of $1.14 trillion.

Rupert believes the value could climb even higher. “Beyond that, how do you value XRP?” he asked Paul Barron.

$60 Could Be Next

Host Paul Barron expanded on that outlook, pointing to larger catalysts that could drive a dramatic move higher for XRP. He suggested that if XRP ever approaches $20, it would signal that something significant has changed.

Specifically, he cited possibilities such as ETFs opening the door for 401(k) allocations or XRP replacing SWIFT in international settlements.

While he dismissed extreme forecasts of $500 or $1,000 per token in the near term, Barron set his own target of $60. He stated that this is where he believes XRP could land within 12 months if the bullish catalysts do unfold.

Notably, XRP has a significant journey ahead to reach $60—or even $20. Its price would need to increase by 1,933% to reach $60, or 578% to hit $20. For context, a $60 XRP would imply a market cap of $3.56 trillion, surpassing Bitcoin’s current valuation.

Interestingly, analyst Dustin Layton has expressed a similar sentiment, albeit with a more aggressive timeline. Layton believes XRP could reach $50 by the end of this year.

Strong Community Momentum

Meanwhile, Barron also shared insights from his Market Sentiment Index (MSI), a tool for tracking investor sentiment across social platforms. He noted that XRP hit an all-time high in MSI during mid-July, coinciding with a major price rally. Another surge in sentiment on August 3 also aligned with upward price action.

For Barron, these data points confirm that XRP’s community plays a powerful role in driving momentum. When sentiment spikes, price moves tend to follow. This supports his view that XRP could be set for significant gains if current trends continue.

Top Analyst Says a Cardano Rally to the Bull Market Door at $1.25 Is “Very Close”

0

Cardano could be approaching a crucial level, which will mark the start of its explosive cyclical rally to unprecedented prices.

Cardano (ADA) put in an impressive price performance last week, ending nearly 20% higher. This marked a second consecutive weekly uptick, during which the 10th largest cryptocurrency by market cap rallied 30% and briefly flipped Tron to the ninth spot.

Nonetheless, Cardano could be setting up for even better upsides. Prominent crypto analyst Dan Gambardello has shared that ADA will soon reach a critical price level, which will usher it into its bull market phase.

Cardano Bullish Phase Closing In

For context, Gambardello marked the $1.25 price mark as the Cardano bull market door in his X post on Sunday. He represented the region below the critical price mark in a red rectangle and identified that a breakout from the zone would open ADA up to its hyper-bullish price phase.

Cardano Bull Market Door/Dan Gambardello

Notably, Cardano has not sustained a trend above $1.25 since its 2021 success. Its last rally outside the marked zone was a short-lived surge to $1.32 in December, which was followed by a strong rejection to lower prices.

Meanwhile, Cardano made a lower high at $1.247 in April 2022, further buttressing the massive supply around the area. If ADA finally breaks this resistance, the analyst suggested that it would be an essential bull market indicator.

Cardano Targets Following Breakout

First, Gambardello expects Cardano to rally to an ascending resistance trendline around $2.10. Notably, the trendline had impeded higher prices for ADA in past visits. For perspective, ADA retraced from the trendline in December 2023, peaking at $0.680.

Cardano reached the resistance wall again in March 2024 but faced a similar outcome and dropped from its high of $0.810 to lower prices. This suggests that ADA needs to break above the trendline to sustain its foray to unprecedented prices.

Ultimately, the chart marked a surge to $10.025, marking a new all-time high for Cardano. The price mark, which prominent market watchers like Ssebi have projected, represents a 993% rally from its current market price of $0.917.

Surging Futures Interest Fueling Bullish Optimism

Meanwhile, emerging interest in Cardano, especially among leveraged traders, further adds to the bullish sentiment. Recent data shows that the ADA futures volume reached approximately $7 billion last week, the highest in five months.

Cardano Future Volume/Glassnode

Specifically, this large trading volume occurred on August 14, when ADA surged to $1.02 overnight, despite a broader market downtrend. This marked a shift from the volume ranging between $1 and $3 billion seen since March.

Notably, interest of this nature has a severe impact on prices, especially when it occurs on a sustained basis. A volume spike typically precedes significant price movements, and it could be the case for Cardano.

Expert Warns of Catastrophic Crash as Leverage Builds in Bitcoin Market

0

Market commentator Jacob King warns that a major crash could be “catastrophic” for Bitcoin and crypto investors, citing excessive leverage and market vulnerability.

King, CEO of WhaleWire, took to X to point out how Bitcoin’s latest drop has impacted the broader crypto market. In his tweet, he noted that a mere 1% drop in Bitcoin’s price has triggered a liquidation of over $360 million from the crypto market in the past 24 hours. This includes a liquidation of more than $100 million in the last hours.

The accompanying chart confirms that the slight correction in Bitcoin’s price erased roughly $369 million from the market, with long positions accounting for $254.64 million, while shorts stood at $111.78 million.

Meanwhile, more updated figures show that the liquidation in the crypto market has even worsened. Now, leveraged traders are nursing losses exceeding $536 million over the past day.

Liquidation heatmap CoinGlass

Major BTC Crash Could Prove Catastrophic

Jacob argues that the massive liquidations reflect an overleveraged market near Bitcoin’s all-time high. To him, this setup could spell disaster for investors. Notably, he warned that a major crash is inevitable.

The analyst expects the crash to be “catastrophic” for investors, especially when many traders try to sell at the same time. His reasoning is that if a 1% decline in Bitcoin’s price could wipe out over $360 million in 24 hours, a significant price crash could be more devastating.

Bitcoin Slumps After Hitting ATH

Notably, Bitcoin has been on a free fall since it climbed to an all-time high (ATH) of $124,457 on August 14. After dropping to $118,000 yesterday, Bitcoin continued its downward journey today and eventually dipped to the $115,000 region early today.

At the current price of $115,569, Bitcoin is down 7.14% from its ATH of $124,457. For many, the ongoing crash is a necessary correction for a significant rally to follow, rather than the beginning of a major downtrend.

Such corrections usually present opportunities for investors who missed the previous rally to buy at discounted prices. Last month, financial expert Robert Kiyosaki echoed this view after Bitcoin retraced from its last ATH of $123,200.

However, Jacob suggests otherwise, speculating that the market faces an unavoidable major crash that could be catastrophic for investors.

Potential Liquidations on Bitcoin Rebound

Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s subsequent price action in the next few hours could determine how much will be erased from the market.

According to CoinGlass data, a drop to $114,000 would wipe out roughly $597.67 million in long positions, while a rebound to $120,000 could trigger $2.23 billion in short liquidations.

Here’s Why XRP Won’t Stay at $3 Over the Next 10 Years

0

Bullish industry commentators are nearly unanimous in the belief that XRP price will be significantly higher in the years to come.

For context, XRP currently trades close to $3. While it’s down 9% over the past week, it remains up 37% in the last eight weeks.

Notably, XRP’s current price reflects more than five times the value it had a year ago. Meanwhile, there’s widespread frustration over its short-term movement. Many investors lament that the coin is “not moving,” especially while other market leaders like Bitcoin and Ethereum are hitting new price milestones.

For example, while Bitcoin peaked above $124,000 last week, XRP’s price barely moved past $3.30. Still, market commentators often urge investors to maintain a long-term view and worry less about short-term fluctuations.

In a tweet, prominent XRP technical analyst Dark Defender even described as naive those who believe XRP will remain stuck at $3 without further improvement.

Amid this sentiment, this article explores XRP’s potential performance over the next ten years, based on industry forecasts, bullish fundamentals, and historical data.

XRP’s 10-Year Price Performance Based on Historical Data

Since the popular view among analysts is that XRP will trade higher in ten years, let’s look back ten years to see how much the price has improved—if at all.

Notably, on August 18, 2015, XRP traded as low as $0.007552. Compared to today’s price of around $3, that’s a massive increase of 39,624%.

To put it in perspective, a $10,000 investment in XRP back then would have secured a bag containing 1.33 million XRP. At today’s value, that would be worth approximately $4 million. At XRP’s recent peak price of $3.66 in July, the value would have reached $4.86 million.

This suggests that a ten-year investment in XRP has been highly rewarding in hindsight. Naturally, this leads some investors to believe that a similar performance could be replicated over the next ten years.

Indeed, many financial stocks have followed similar long-term trends. For example, Apple stock has maintained a consistent uptrend over its 44-year history, with all-time growth relative to current value sitting at 180,340%.

Industry Forecasts

Meanwhile, there have been widespread forecasts about XRP price in the next ten years, from prominent commentators to research papers and AI prediction platforms.

In a viral video, Matthew Brienen, Chief Operating Officer at CryptoCharged, said XRP is highly likely to reach $1,000 within ten years.

Popular crypto investor Armando Pantoja shares this sentiment. He recently stated that he’s willing to wait more than ten years to see XRP trading at $1,000. For perspective, a $10,000 investment in XRP today would be worth over $3.3 million if XRP reaches $1,000 by 2035.

On the other hand, platforms like Changelly and Telegaon, known for their crypto predictions, offer more conservative forecasts. For instance, Changelly predicts XRP’s highest price by 2034 could be $126. Meanwhile, Telegaon suggests $87 as XRP’s highest price by 2035.

Interestingly, an analysis published by The Crypto Basic estimated XRP’s price in 2035 based on consistent monthly growth of just 2%. It suggests XRP could reach $24 by then. Another analysis using a 3% monthly growth model projects a price of $73 by 2035.

Essentially, the most popular outlooks for XRP suggest it could be worth significantly more in ten years than its current price of $3. Several key factors could help sustain its upward trend, including its utility in payments and increasing institutional investments.

Fundamentals Supporting XRP’s Price Over the Next Few Years

For context, more institutions are planning to hold XRP as part of their strategic crypto reserves, with eight firms already disclosing such plans.

ETFs are also eyeing XRP, with over ten applications currently under review and a decision expected by October. Moreover, Ripple’s lawsuit has concluded, removing legal hurdles that once weighed heavily on XRP’s growth potential.

However, not all projections are optimistic. Bitwise, a billion-dollar asset manager, has warned that XRP’s price could fall to $0.13 by 2030 if the coin fails to deliver on its promise in the payments market.
