Early Bitcoin Buyer Says Dismissing XRP Today Is a Mistake

Pro-XRP game developer Chad Steingraber recently reignited confidence in XRP with a post highlighting his early Bitcoin investment.

According to Steingraber, he bought all his Bitcoin when it was just $3,000, a decision that has paid off massively.

Notably, BTC last sold for exactly $3,000 in December 2018. The leading crypto also maintained prices in the $3K range in early 2019 before it left that region for good.

In the nearly seven years that followed, Bitcoin has gone on to reach its peak price of $112,000. In perspective, that marks a massive 3,633% surge. Even today, it retains most of those gains, stabilizing around $109K.

Don’t Miss XRP After Missing Bitcoin

In his post, Steingraber emphasized that he would have missed the opportunity to enter Bitcoin early and net a 37X return if he had listened to the naysayers. He suggests that XRP is now in a similar phase. The tweet subtly warns that listening to skeptics could lead to missing out again.

Steingraber’s message resonates with a broader sentiment within the XRP community. They believe XRP could become as valuable as Bitcoin in the future and that long-term value often emerges when sentiment is at its lowest.

These comparisons surface as XRP’s long-term performance continues to frustrate holders. The coin has traded below its peak for nearly eight years, with many critics labeling it a poor long-term investment but viable for short-term speculation.

Ignoring the Noise, Focusing on Value

However, XRP proponents see such skepticism as similar to what Bitcoin faced in its early stages. Some commentators also point out that XRP has existed nearly as long as Bitcoin.

Notably, XRP emerged three years after Bitcoin, though their performance remains miles apart. For instance, around 2018/2019, when Bitcoin was last seen at $3K and Steingraber entered, XRP was around $0.28. Since then, XRP’s price has increased about 11X compared to Bitcoin’s 37X.

Many attribute XRP’s perceived underperformance to the SEC lawsuit. While the legal battles are now behind it, the coin has yet to stage the historic breakout many hope will make them rich.

Yet, amid the wait, pundits continue to highlight that a day of reckoning is coming for XRP, and those ignoring it today may regret it.

According to crypto educator Edoardo Farina, investors have until Ripple unveils a new plan for the XRP in escrow. After that, he believes FOMO will send the price through the roof.

Separately, influencer Coach JV said XRP holders stand to benefit from one of the greatest wealth transfers in history. According to him, those sleeping on XRP will regret it in the future.

But When?

Amid all these promises of a bright future, the lingering question on investors’ minds is: When will this teased future arrive?

Early Bitcoin holders are already cashing out billions from investments made when prices were under $0.10. As for XRP holders, the wait continues. However, pundits like Steingraber have continued to advise patience.

If Shiba Inu Rallies 50x, Here’s What Your $100 or $1,000 Investment Could Become

0

While investments of $100 or $1,000 in Shiba Inu today may seem modest, they could yield substantial returns if SHIB surges 50 times from its current level.

Despite Shiba Inu’s lackluster performance, several market commentators remain confident in a promising future for SHIB in the coming months or years.

In a recent X post, trader Mathicrypt suggested a 50x surge is a realistic outlook for Shiba Inu. Notably, this view proposes that the price of SHIB could soar by 4,900%. However, the trader did not highlight how soon this outlook may materialize.

Shiba Inu Price If It Soars 50x

Meanwhile, The Crypto Basic estimated how much investments of $100 or $1,000 could be worth if the price of Shiba Inu soars 50x from its current level. For context, Shiba Inu is currently trading at $0.00001195.

It has experienced a slight increase of 1.95% over the past 24 hours and 4.76% in the past week. Despite its slight uptrend, Shiba Inu is down 3.92% in the past month and 27.45% in the past year.

Meanwhile, a potential rally of 50x would push Shiba Inu’s price from $0.00001195 to $0.0005975, marking a 4,900% from the current price.

At an estimated price of $0.0005975, Shiba Inu’s market cap would rally to $352 billion from the current level of $7.04 billion. Indeed, a rally of this magnitude will impact investors’ portfolios.

Worth of $100 or $1,000 SHIB Investments at $0.0005975

At the current price of $0.00001195, a $100 sum could buy 8.36 million SHIB tokens, while $1,000 could buy 83.68 million tokens.

At press time, around 323,660 blockchain addresses hold between $100 and $1,000 worth of Shiba Inu. They account for 22.08% of the total Shiba Inu on-chain addresses, holding a combined 8.6 trillion SHIB tokens worth approximately $102 million.

If Shiba Inu rallies 50x and hits a target price of $0.0005975, small stakes of $100 or $1,000 could deliver significant sums. Specifically, $100 invested in Shiba Inu today would be worth $5,000. At the same time, a $1,000 investment would rise to $50,000. This represents returns of $4,900 and $49,000, respectively.

When Can SHIB Hit $0.0005

Shiba Inu is not guaranteed to reach the $0.0005975 target, which requires the asset to eliminate one zero from its price.

Meanwhile, according to Telegaon, Shiba Inu’s token could reach the $0.0005975 target by the end of the decade, specifically by 2030. However, market analysts at the Changelly trading platform predict that SHIB will reach the target by June 2034.

Interestingly, xAI’s chatbot Grok sees the $0.0005 price target coming to reality in the 2025/2026 market cycle. However, it suggested that market downturns could push the timeline further into 2027 – 2030.

Notably, ChatGPT issued a similar forecast, which aligns with Grok’s optimistic scenario for the $0.0005 price range. According to ChatGPT, Shiba Inu will trade around the $0.0005 price range by the end of next year. It speculates that SHIB will achieve the milestone through aggressive token burns and widespread adoption.

Expert Says One Last Chance for a Shiba Inu Move: Here’s The Target

0

A building momentum on the Shiba Inu weekly chart suggests a trend reversal is on the horizon, with an analyst identifying its target.

ZelfTrade shared this emerging momentum in a TradingView analysis, asserting that Shiba Inu has one last shot at a massive rally. If it does respond as the new trend suggests, the analyst shared the possible target for the rally.

Notably, this comes as Shiba Inu continues to consolidate southwards. On the weekly timeframe, it has posted seven red candles in the past eight weeks, joining a broader struggle in the altcoin market.

Shiba Inu On a Pivotal Support

For context, ZelfTrade highlighted that Shiba Inu sits on a crucial support area, which has cushioned further price downtrends. SHIB retested the support at $0.000010 in mid-June and has held the zone so far. Notably, it bounced from the demand zone in April, rallying 71% to its high of $0.00001765 in May before the recent retracement.

Shiba Inu AnalysisZelfTrade
Shiba Inu Analysis | ZelfTrade

However, the market watcher noted that a clean swing failure pattern (SFP) is forming around the support area. Notably, this pattern forms when prices break out but fail to sustain the momentum, subsequently declining extensively.

This trend emerged following Shiba’s rally from its current support level to $0.00001765, followed by a strong reversal back to the demand zone. If the momentum reversal sustains, the analyst expects a quick rebound to higher prices.

Specifically, he predicted a two-fold rally from the current price, citing how well Shiba Inu has held the support as a possible catalyst. Notably, a 2x rally would take SHIB’s price to a six-month high of $0.00002394.

Meanwhile, he emphasized that Bitcoin’s price action will play a vital role in this uptrend. He noted that the crypto leader needs to cool off over the next two months and allow altcoins to regain bullish momentum. Several other analysts have shared this sentiment, citing Bitcoin’s growing market dominance as a reason why altcoins have been underperforming.

Shiba Inu Could Capitulate by Another 50%

Despite ZelfTrade’s bullish sentiments, he believes that a lack of upward price action from Shiba Inu could trigger another capitulation. For context, he noted that if Bitcoin fails to pass the baton over to altcoins soon, SHIB could lose the current support and drop another 50%.

Shiba Inu is already 86% away from its all-time high of $0.00008845 and 64% away from its January high of $0.00003343. Another 50% drop would ensure that the meme coin adds more zeroes to its valuation and drops to $0.00000598, a price last seen in June 2023.

At the time of writing, Shiba Inu trades at $0.00001197.

Here’s the Reason XRP Price is Not Being Affected Right Now Amid Large Korean Inflows

A prominent XRP community figure has shared why he believes XRP price has not exploded despite impressive inflows from South Korea.

Notably, the South Korean market has continued to witness massive XRP flows into Upbit, the largest crypto exchange in the country. Game developer and market pundit Chad Steingraber has been repeatedly highlighting this trend, which recently picked up over the past few days.

South Korean Traders on Upbit Banking on XRP

Earlier, The Crypto Basic highlighted some of these spikes in inflows as well as a comparative surge in volume on Upbit. For instance, at some point on July 7, XRP saw $1.94 billion in volume on the South Korean exchange over the span of just one hour, representing an exponential surge from typical figures.

For context, average XRP volumes over an hour typically range from $5 million to $15 million across different exchanges, even on Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by volume. As a result, the $1.94 billion figure from Upbit on July 7 was an anomaly that could not be ignored.

In addition to this volume incident, the market also observed a massive increase in netflows into Upbit. Particularly, at some point on July 7, Steingraber highlighted that Upbit had seen a net inflow of $1.58 billion over an hour. This represents an over 52,000% increase from average net inflows in a similar timeframe.

Today, this trend has persisted. Current data indicates that Upbit has continued to lead the charge in XRP volume and inflows. Over the past hour, Upbit has recorded $94.88 million in volume and $43.25 million in net inflows.

Upbit Leads in XRP Volume and Flows

Why XRP is Not Reflecting This Trend

However, XRP’s price appears not to be reflecting this trend of growing volume and netflows. In his most recent update, Steingraber revealed what he believes could be the reason behind XRP’s slow growth when compared to the pace at which it is observing inflows on Upbit.

Specifically, while South Korean investors on Upbit are contributing to inflows, the rest of the global market is neutralizing the impact of these inflows by recording higher outflows.

For context, Binance, Coinbase, Bybit, and other top destinations for XRP trading have continued to witness outflows over the past few days. At the time of Steingraber’s disclosure, overall netflows globally amounted to -$8.82 million.

According to the latest data from Coinglass, the market witnessed a mild positive netflow of $3.2 million yesterday, as Upbit’s inflows narrowly edged out the outflows from other exchanges. Interestingly, this was not the case on July 7 and 8, when the market respectively saw -$43.19 million and -$8.68 million in netflows despite Upbit’s large inflows.

XRP Netflows Coinglass

Steingraber believes these negative netflows triggered by other top trading destinations are the reason XRP’s price has lagged. Notably, XRP has still observed an impressive price increase this week, up over 6% in the past seven days, as it trades for $2.33. However, some believe its price should have spiked higher than this.

Meanwhile, it is important to note that despite the bullish sentiments, the Upbit inflows do not automatically translate to capital flows into the XRP market, as they merely represent deposits to the exchange. As a result, they will not always lead to price spikes.

Here Are Key Deadlines for XRP This Month

0

July is gearing up to be a pivotal month for XRP as the SEC is expected to decide the fate of several XRP-related exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Analyst Nick, popularly referred to as Crypto Crusader, called the XRP community’s attention to the multiple XRP ETF deadlines in July.

ProShares XRP ETFs

The first deadline is July 14, when ProShares aims to launch three futures-based XRP ETFs. They include the ProShares Ultra XRP ETF, the UltraShort XRP ETF, and the Short XRP ETF. Notably, through these futures XRP ETFs, investors could gain exposure to twice the daily performance of the coin.

According to an accompanying screenshot, ProShares submitted the applications to launch the futures-based XRP ETFs in January 2025. Meanwhile, ProShares previously set April 30 as the effective date for the products. It postponed the date, according to a June 24 post-effective amended prospectus.

In the filing, ProShares locked in July 14 as the date it intends to launch all three XRP ETFs, provided the SEC does not object.

In the meantime, the issuer’s Ultra XRP ETF recently listed on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) under the ticker UXRP. However, the ProShares Short and UltraShort XRP ETFs have not been listed on DTCC at the time of publication.

Turtle Capital XRP ETF

In addition, Turtle Capital’s 2X Long XRP Daily Target ETF is also expected to commence trading on July 21, absent any objections from the SEC. The July 21 timeline aligns with the anticipated completion of the SEC’s review of Turtle Capital’s futures-based XRP ETF application.

Volatility Shares and Rex-Osprey XRP ETFs

Furthermore, the Volatility Shares future-based XRP ETFs are expected to become effective this month, pending the SEC’s approval of their debut. Specifically, the Volatility Shares XRP ETF and 2X XRP ETF could begin trading on July 21.

If the SEC has any objections to the products, it must make them known before the deadline. However, silence means tacit approval.

Data provided by Nick shows that one of the Volatility Shares XRP ETFs, the 1X XRP ETF, became effective on July 7. Finally, the REX-Osprey XRP ETF has an effective deadline of July 25—the anticipated trading start date, assuming no objections from the SEC.

While the SEC has indirectly approved future-based XRP ETFs, including the Teucrium 2x Long XRP ETF (XXRP), the regulator has yet to approve a spot version. Currently, there are more than 10 spot-based XRP ETF applications. The SEC has a final deadline of mid-October to decide the fate of these spot XRP ETFs.

Michael Saylor Compares Bitcoin with Ethereum and XRP

0

Michael Saylor, the executive chairman of MicroStrategy, insists that Bitcoin rules supreme and has no rivals despite giant strides by XRP and Ethereum.

The maximalist is Bitcoin through and through, reiterating this stance in a widely circulating clip shared by Altcoin Daily. According to Saylor, the pioneering cryptocurrency is the best, and there is no second-best.

There Is No Second Best: Michael Saylor

Saylor has continued to taunt enthusiasts of other major cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, XRP, and Solana despite not directly mentioning these assets. Notably, long-standing Bitcoin advocate Thomas Lee recently shared that Ethereum’s stablecoin utility will ensure it follows in Bitcoin’s footprint, but not Saylor. The Strategy chairman says there is no second-best.

He stated that in the tech world, one might compare Google to Facebook or Apple to Amazon. However, in the digital asset space, there is no real competitor to Bitcoin; it is either Bitcoin or nothing else.

Furthermore, Saylor pushed back on the 60% Bitcoin dominance in the cryptocurrency market. For perspective, BTC accounts for 64.94% of the global cryptocurrency market cap, with a valuation of over $2.16 trillion.

However, Michael Saylor argued that Bitcoin should dominate about 95% to 96% of the market. In his words, one would be lucky to “scrape together 5% of other stuff.”

It is based on this sentiment that Saylor’s Strategy has incessantly piled into Bitcoin. The business intelligence-turned-Bitcoin treasury company is by far the largest public firm holding BTC.

Despite pausing its weekly purchase on Monday for the first time in three months, it holds 597,325 BTC, valued at $65 billion.

Institutional Interest in Altcoins Picks Regardless

Nonetheless, Bitcoin’s institutional pull is slowly spilling into other major cryptocurrencies. For instance, the crypto treasury strategy has gone beyond Bitcoin as different firms begin to adopt other major altcoins.

SharpLink recently raised billions to buy Ethereum, while BitMine abandoned its Bitcoin treasury push to focus on buying and holding Ether. Nasdaq-listed Trident has also pursued an XRP-focused corporate treasury and plans to raise $500 million to buy XRP.

Moreover, the chances of another altcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) are also increasing. Senior Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas has given the odds of an XRP, Solana, and Litecoin ETF this year a 95% probability, indicating a strong likelihood that the US Securities and Exchange Commission will approve them imminently.

Essentially, while Michael Saylor believes there is no second best, institutions are focusing on maximizing the vast opportunity in the crypto space beyond the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Here’s Why Today Could Be a Historic Day for XRP

Today, July 9, 2025, is shaping up to be one of the most significant days in XRP history.

Particularly, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is testifying before the U.S. Senate as several major developments converge. This has fueled rising belief within the XRP community that the asset is entering a new era.

In a tweet, Brad Kimes, founder of Digital Perspectives, highlighted the moment’s magnitude, calling it the potential beginning of a “coronation” for Ripple and XRP.

Brad Garlinghouse Addresses the US Senate

Notably, Garlinghouse is testifying today before the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Ahead of his official appearance, he shared the speech he plans to deliver, titled “From Wall Street to Web3: Building Tomorrow’s Digital Asset Markets.”

Garlinghouse emphasized the need for precise digital asset regulation and a balanced framework that protects consumers while encouraging innovation.

He defended Ripple’s mission to build an Internet of Value using the XRP Ledger. In particular, the CEO emphasized that the company leverages the XRP Ledger and XRP to process payments. XRP is designed to enable rapid, cheap, and scalable transactions.

This is the most significant moment in which XRP and the XRP Ledger have been directly referenced and explained in the halls of the U.S. Senate.

Garlinghouse also stated that from the beginning, Ripple made a deliberate choice to collaborate with policymakers and regulators. The company operates under more than 60 crypto payment and money transmitter licenses, both domestically and internationally.

Consequently, he called on Congress to pass smart legislation to ensure the U.S. can become a global leader in blockchain and crypto.

Ripple’s Legal Victory Finalized

As Garlinghouse spoke to lawmakers, Ripple’s years-long battle with the U.S. SEC is also coming to a close. The lawsuit, which began in 2020, questioned whether XRP was a security.

However, Ripple won the argument against the SEC, a fact Garlinghouse highlighted to the Senate committee.

The victory confirms that XRP is not, in and of itself, a security. This conclusion clears the regulatory cloud that has loomed over XRP for years, giving institutional and retail investors renewed confidence.

Launch of RLUSD and Fed Ambitions

Notably, Garlinghouse’s testimony comes just months after Ripple launched its U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD.

Even more significantly, it comes days after Ripple filed for a national banking charter and a master account with the Federal Reserve. These moves would allow Ripple to operate more like a full-scale financial institution within the U.S. banking system.

The alignment of all these events is stirring excitement across the XRP community. Supporters believe it could mark the beginning of a new phase of adoption and utility for XRP.

Tether Amasses 80 Tons of Gold Worth $8B in a Secret Swiss Facility

0

Stablecoin giant Tether now holds nearly 80 metric tons of gold amid a broader effort to hedge against currency instability.

Tether has revealed it is now storing $8 billion worth of gold, nearly 80 metric tons, in a private vault it owns in Switzerland. Meanwhile, the exact location of the vault remains undisclosed.

Nonetheless, the move reflects Tether’s intention to gain greater control over its reserves while lowering long-term operational expenses.

Tether’s Physical Gold Push

As of March 2025, Tether’s public filings show that approximately 5% of its reserves are in precious metals. Gold accounts for the majority of that amount.

Meanwhile, the value of its bullion holdings now rivals that of UBS Group AG. This places the stablecoin issuer in a class typically dominated by central banks and sovereign treasuries.

Unlike most industry players, Tether has chosen to independently manage its vault operations rather than rely on third-party custodians. The company argues that the cumulative costs of outsourced storage, often around 0.5% annually, are significant. These costs can be substantially reduced by taking vault ownership in-house.

Essentially, Tether sees managing its own vault as more economical at scale.

XAUT: The Gold-Backed Stablecoin

In addition to its primary token, USDT, Tether continues to grow its gold-backed digital asset, XAUT. Each unit of XAUT is backed by one troy ounce of gold and can be redeemed for physical metal in Switzerland. Currently, around 7.7 tons of gold underpin XAUT, valued at roughly $819 million.

While the scale of XAUT is still modest compared to major ETFs like SPDR Gold Shares, which holds nearly 950 tons of gold, Tether sees ample room for expansion. If the token reaches a $100 billion market value, vault ownership could become extremely valuable. It might yield hundreds of millions in savings on storage fees alone.

Regulatory Hurdles Loom

Despite the strategic benefits, Tether’s gold-centric approach may face compliance challenges in major jurisdictions. Regulations in both the European Union and the United States increasingly restrict the types of assets permitted to back fiat-linked stablecoins.

These rules typically limit the backing assets to cash or short-term government debt. Gold, under these frameworks, does not qualify.

Should Tether seek formal regulatory approval for USDT in those regions, it may need to divest its gold-backed components to meet legal requirements. However, XAUT, being a separate, gold-pegged asset, currently falls outside the scope of such restrictions.

A Hedge Against Currency Instability

Tether’s leadership views this gold strategy as a response to growing global economic instability and waning trust in traditional currencies. The company believes that physical assets such as gold offer more enduring value than fiat money. This is especially true amid rising debt levels in major economies.

Notably, the recent 25% rise in gold prices supports this narrative, driven in part by demand from central banks, particularly in BRICS nations, which have been aggressively increasing their gold reserves.

By building its own vault infrastructure and increasing physical gold holdings, Tether signals a long-term vision that extends beyond stablecoins.

Analyst Reveals How Much XRP You Need to Hold to be a Millionaire in the Next 12 to 24 Months

Market pundits Abdullah “Abs” Nassif and Johnny recently discussed what it might take to become an XRP millionaire over the next 12 to 24 months.

The discussion, which came up in a recent episode of The Good Evening Crypto show, highlighted several factors that might contribute to an XRP price explosion, and how much investors may need to hold to capitalize on this impending growth.

Factors Pointing to Impending XRP Price Explosion

At the start of the conversation, Nassif mentioned some of these bullish factors, which include Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s upcoming appearance before the Senate Banking Committee and the House’s plans to review the Crypto Clarity Act in two weeks.

According to him, growing interest from Wall Street and the banking sector points to an imminent change in the market sector that could push XRP price faster than most expect.

He then spotlighted some trends from the XRP Rich List. Right now, anyone holding 2,500 XRP ranks in the top 10% of wallets globally. However, to reach the top 1%, a person or company needs 51,300 XRP.

XRP Rich List Good Morning Crypto
XRP Rich List | Good Morning Crypto

Nassif said many investors likely underestimate how little it takes to break into these elite levels. He believes XRP is now on the edge of a breakout and doesn’t need to perform miracles, but just match what Bitcoin has already done over the past decade.

XRP Just Needs to Follow Bitcoin Path
XRP Just Needs to Follow Bitcoin Path

With that in mind, he said it’s realistic to consider price targets of $10, $20, or even $50 within the next year, pointing to several catalysts like regulatory clarity, the rise of stablecoins, ISO upgrades, and growing institutional interest.

How Much XRP You Need to Hold to Become a Millionaire

Meanwhile, Johnny discussed XRP’s price path and what it would take to reach millionaire status. He broke XRP’s journey into two phases: a speculative phase and a utility phase. Johnny expects regulation, especially the Crypto Clarity Act, to trigger the speculative phase. Based on that, he laid out three possible scenarios.

In the first, XRP reaches $10 to $12 within two years. In that case, an investor would need around 100,000 XRP to cross the $1 million mark. However, in a more optimistic projection, where speculation drives the price to $54, only 18,000 XRP would be enough.

Nonetheless, Johnny said the most realistic price sits somewhere in the middle, around $25. At that level, holding 40,000 XRP would get an investor close to the million-dollar goal.

Essentially, an investor would need to hold between 18,000 XRP and 100,000 XRP to become an XRP millionaire over the next 24 months. This will depend on how much momentum the market gains after regulation kicks in. For context, 18,000 XRP currently costs $41,760, while 100,000 tokens are worth $232,000.

The XRP Rich List Becoming More Difficult to Enter

Meanwhile, Nassif highlighted some perspectives from recent price trends. Notably, in November last year, 2,500 XRP cost just $500. Today, that same amount costs more than $5,000. He said this change shows how quickly prices can move in a market that supports crypto.

Nassif warned that as time goes on, it will get harder for average investors to build large positions, especially with major companies preparing to enter the market and add assets like XRP to their balance sheets.

He also estimated that someone who wants to hold a top 1% XRP wallet today would need to invest about $100,000. If XRP reaches $50, as Johnny suggested it might, that same holding would be worth $5 million.

Nassif said he personally believes holding 25,000 XRP could be enough to reach millionaire status, not because of hype, but because of where the digital asset space is headed.

Speaking further, he compared XRP’s market cap to Bitcoin’s and pointed out that XRP offers a stronger potential return. While Bitcoin needs $2 trillion in new market cap to double, XRP only needs $130 billion.

To wrap up, Johnny encouraged viewers to act now rather than wait. He said the window to buy XRP at current prices won’t stay open for long. Notably, market pundits such as Edoardo Farina have persistently echoed this sentiment.

GameSquare Launches $100M Ethereum Treasury Strategy

0

GameSquare Holdings is pivoting its financial strategy toward crypto with a $100 million Ethereum-based treasury plan.

The technology company announced this significant strategic shift in treasury management via a post on X on Tuesday. This change involves the launch of an Ethereum-based financial strategy. Notably, the board has approved up to $100 million for this initiative, to be deployed in phases.

In the first phase, GameSquare is conducting an underwritten public offering of 8,421,054 shares at $0.95 per share to raise $8 million in gross proceeds. The offering will close on July 9, 2025.

Lucid Capital Markets is acting as the sole book-runner. It also has the option to purchase up to 1,263,157 additional shares within 45 days.

Dialectic Partnership for On-Chain Yield

As part of this new strategy, GameSquare is collaborating with Dialectic, a leading crypto investment firm. The company will leverage Dialectic’s Medici platform, which utilizes machine learning, automated optimization, and multi-layered risk controls.

This platform generates targeted yields between 8 and 14%, unlike the typical 3–4% returns from standard Ethereum staking.

The strategy may also include diversification into stablecoins and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), enhancing both yield potential and risk management. This move signals GameSquare’s intention to become more active in decentralized finance (DeFi) while maintaining a secure and flexible treasury structure.

GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna stated that the company’s goal is to create “real, on-chain yield generation” while broadening its footprint across DeFi ecosystems.

The updated treasury model is designed to support additional ETH purchases and fund potential share buybacks. It also enables reinvestment in growth-focused initiatives across its business verticals.

Stock Market Reaction

Meanwhile, the market responded swiftly to GameSquare’s crypto-focused treasury announcement. Shares of the company soared 58.76% on Tuesday, closing at $1.54 on the Nasdaq—marking one of its strongest single-day gains to date.

Momentum carried into after-hours trading, where the stock added another 6.49%. With this rally, GameSquare’s market capitalization rose to approximately $60.25 million, reflecting renewed investor confidence in the company’s strategic pivot toward blockchain-based finance.
