Expert Says Bitcoin Pattern Is Clear, Predicts BTC Will Fill This CME Gap Before Rally to $175,000

0

A top market analyst has identified a recurring pattern of uptrend on the Bitcoin chart, sharing what’s next before a rally to a new ATH.

Expert EGRAG Crypto shared Bitcoin’s clear pattern in a Monday tweet, as BTC continues to hold above $100,000. After a steep decline to $98,330, the leading cryptocurrency quickly rebounded by 2.76% to close at $101,049 on Sunday, continuing its recovery today.

Bitcoin Shows Clear Growth Pattern

Meanwhile, EGRAG identified that Bitcoin has maintained a clear pattern of growth this cycle. Recall that BTC has been one of the standout cryptocurrencies during this bull market, outperforming most altcoins so far.

The analyst shared that Bitcoin’s growth strategy includes a corrective phase where it drops below its bull market support band (BMSB), followed by a major rally to reclaim and trade above the BMSB, and then a slight correction.

A first bounce follows the first retest, with another consolidation before the second bounce. After the second bounce, Bitcoin enters another corrective phase and repeats the same pattern.

Interestingly, EGRAG identified two points where Bitcoin followed this pattern to the letter, as shown in an accompanying chart.

For instance, Bitcoin fell into a correction in November 2022, dropping to $15,500 and slipping below the BMSB, a signal based on the 20-week SMA and 21-week EMA. It recovered in January 2023, climbing to $28,600. A bounce followed in early March after a weekly doji candle, pushing the price to $31,000. Another doji in mid-June sparked a second bounce to $31,830, before Bitcoin pulled back again into a new correction.

Meanwhile, another complete pattern occurred between September 2023 and June 2024 before the current formation.

What’s Next for Bitcoin as Pattern Forms

EGRAG’s chart shows that Bitcoin is currently developing in alignment with the pattern, breaking from a corrective phase in late April to bring prices above the BMSB and to its current all-time high of $112,000. Now, Bitcoin is in the first retest phase, which has seen it correct 8.6% from its May peak price.

From here, the analyst predicts that Bitcoin would retrace further to fill a CME gap at $91,950. Following the 10% correction from the current market price, Bitcoin would rally extensively to a new all-time high between $140,000 and $160,000.

Subsequently, BTC would enter the second retest phase before launching to its ultimate target of $175,000 this cycle. From the current price of $102,319, this represents a 71% uptick.

Remarkably, EGRAG has persisted in his expectation that Bitcoin will target $175,000, sharing in an earlier analysis that this would happen by September 2025. Meanwhile, targets of $200,000 and $250,000 still exist for the largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

Analyst Says $1.30 Could be a Trap, And Not a Bounce Zone

0

Analyst warns of a key XRP price zone acting as a trap due to weak structure and liquidity targets.

As of today, XRP trades at $2.02, marking a 2.65% decline in the last 24 hours and an 8.35% drop over the past seven days. Yet, an analyst warns that the broader setup may point to deeper structural weakness rather than a reversal.

Analyst Flags Technical Weakness on XRP Chart

A market analyst, Arthur, emphasized several structural concerns surrounding XRP’s recent price behavior. Despite optimism from some traders who viewed the move above the long-term downtrend as a breakout and a journey to a new all-time high, the analyst argued that the current formation lacks a solid technical base.

According to this view, the $1.30 level, which previously acted as resistance ahead of XRP’s rally to $2.90 in December 2024, remains an important area of interest.

Notably, the analyst identified $1.30 as a liquidity pool where the market could sweep late long positions before any genuine upward momentum returns. The analyst pointed to the absence of confirmation in the current move, noting that market makers tend to target such zones before allowing price to climb.

Meanwhile, he identified a preferred re-entry point for a potential long position between $1.05 and $1.10, an area that could offer cleaner structural support.

The analyst cautioned traders to mentally prepare for a potential drop, even if it doesn’t materialize, emphasizing a strategy focused on areas of maximum pain rather than following crowd-driven moves. According to him, he prefers targeting deeper price zones where others are less likely to act.

Broader Macro Conditions Weigh on Sentiment

Beyond technical factors, the analyst also cited macroeconomic and geopolitical concerns as contributing to a bearish outlook. He mentioned uncertainties stemming from ongoing conflicts—including tensions between Iran and Israel, and the Russia–Ukraine war—as key risks. Additionally, he highlighted delays in regulatory clarity and the unresolved status of the Ripple case as deterrents for institutional capital inflows.

Furthermore, he noted that summer market conditions boast historically low liquidity, making them more susceptible to manipulation. He listed these seasonal patterns alongside frozen ETF flows and overall market hesitancy among the reasons for traders to approach current XRP levels with caution.

Teucrium CEO Highlights Long-Term Use Case for XRP

Despite prevailing caution, Sal Gilbertie, CEO of Teucrium, pointed to continued demand for XRP-linked investment vehicles.

During a recent interview, Sal Gilbertie highlighted increasing interest in investment products tied to XRP. He observed that several market participants believe XRP holds the potential to deliver stronger long-term returns than Bitcoin.

3iQ XRP ETF Becomes Canada’s Largest XRP ETF, Hits $23M AUM

0

Leading asset manager 3iQ Corp. claims its XRP ETF (XRPQ) has registered an incredible milestone just three days after its debut on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

In a press release today, 3iQ reported that the XRPQ ETF pulled in CAD 32 million ($23.21 million) of investor capital, making it the largest ETF tracking XRP in Canada.

According to 3iQ, XRPQ achieved the remarkable feat within three days after it commenced trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) on June 18. The asset manager also announced the incredible feat on its X handle.

XRPQ Outperforms Purpose Investments’ XRP ETF

Recall that XRPQ launched alongside a similar product from leading Canadian-based asset management company Purpose Investments. The Purpose Investments XRP ETF (XRPP) also began trading on TSX on June 18. It currently boasts an AUM of CAD 14.7 million ($10.7 million).

Both 3iQ’s XRPQ and Purpose’s XRPP ETFs launched with 0% management fees. XRPQ investors will enjoy the 0% management fee for the first six months of trading, with the offer expiring by year-end. However, the Purpose 0% management offering will be valid until February 2026.

Despite this, XRPQ still attracted more investors’ capital, outperforming XRPP to become the largest XRP ETF in Canada. As of June 20, the 3iQ XRP ETF shares traded at CAD 13.36 (approximately $9.71). On the other hand, XRPP changed hands at CAD 9.66 (7.02) per share.

3iQ XRP ETF

3iQ is a leading asset manager in Canada, offering a range of investment products tied to cryptocurrencies, including Solana and Bitcoin. Given its prominence in Canada, 3iQ’s XRP ETF attracted Ripple’s attention, with the company investing an undisclosed amount in the product.

With XRPQ, investors do not need to go through the stress of directly purchasing XRP from crypto exchanges. Instead, they can gain indirect exposure through their existing brokerage accounts.

While Canadian residents can invest in the product through their registered brokerage accounts, international clients can do so on TSX, subject to local requirements.

The leading asset manager backs the ETF with long-term XRP holdings sourced from reputable trading platforms and OTC desks. 3iQ claims it stores the underlying XRP coins backing XRPQ in cold storage for security purposes.

Meanwhile, 3iQ’s XRP ETF success follows a similar milestone the company recorded for its Solana ETF earlier this year. According to the announcement, the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF became Canada’s largest Solana ETF after it amassed CAD 90 million ($65.44 million) in inflows over two days after its debut.

As spot XRP ETFs have recorded tremendous success in Canada, enthusiasts of the token are looking forward to the launch of similar products in the United States. With more than 10 XRP ETF applications filed with the U.S. SEC, speculation suggests that the products might be approved for launch by Q4 2025.

Brandt Spots Possible Bearish XRP Head and Shoulders: Here’s What Could Set It Off

0

Market veteran Peter Brandt has identified a potential head and shoulders pattern on the weekly XRP chart, pointing out what could set it off.

XRP finds itself at a critical point after a sharp drop tied to global tensions. The broader crypto market took a hit when the United States launched airstrikes on several nuclear facilities in Iran, escalating the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.

As of now, XRP trades around $2.03, sitting in a fragile spot. At this position, veteran trader Peter Brandt pointed to a possible Head and Shoulders (H&S) pattern on the one-week chart, a structure that often leads to a shift to bearish momentum.

XRP Could Confirm the H&S if It Closes Below $1.8

Notably, he identified the sharp dip to $1.61 on April 7 and chose to treat it as an anomaly caused by heightened volatility rather than part of the pattern. When one removes this outlier, the H&S structure looks more intact and consistent.

For perspective, the pattern started forming at the end of last year. Specifically, the left shoulder formed in December 2024, when XRP hit $2.9 and corrected. Meanwhile, the head formed in January 2025 amid the higher surge to $3.4. The right shoulder formed during the rise to $2.65 in May 2025.

XRP 1W Chart Peter Brandt
XRP 1W Chart | Peter Brandt

Importantly, a solid horizontal neckline sits at $1.875, and XRP currently trades just above that level. Brandt stressed that this doesn’t automatically mean the price will drop. However, he plans to re-evaluate his stance if XRP closes below the $1.80 range on the weekly chart. This move could confirm the pattern and invite deeper losses.

Several indicators support that the market is in a state of indecision. For instance, the 8-week and 18-week exponential moving averages have flattened and now run close together, showing fading momentum.

The ADX, which tracks trend strength, sits at a soft 16.41, well below the threshold for a strong trend. Meanwhile, the Average True Range reads 0.486, indicating that volatility has cooled down. When price action tightens like this, it often leads to a big move in either direction.

Analysts Remain Positive on XRP

As XRP maintains this position, multiple analysts are also discussing its potential direction. CryptoInsightsUK focused on the liquidity building up around $1.87 and predicted that XRP might dip slightly below that level to shake out weak hands.

He mentioned that if XRP dropped as low as $1.72, it could present an ideal buying opportunity. At the same time, he urged traders to watch the liquidity sitting above current levels, suggesting that any upward move from here could trigger a strong rally.

In an earlier report from The Crypto Basic, analyst EGRAG said XRP successfully tested a major support zone, which he calls the “white box” during the latest downward push. EGRAG sees this development as a bullish sign.

He presented two likely paths: either XRP continues correcting or it bounces toward new highs. He also warned that if XRP fails to reclaim the $2.08 level, it could slide to $1.90 or even $1.77. If the market turns more bearish, $1.47 might serve as the next key support level.

Expert Shares XRP Update After Successful Retest of the $2 Support

0

A top market analyst has updated the XRP community on the next course of action for XRP following a successful retest of the crucial $2 support level.

XRP dumped below $2 for the first time since April 11, reaching an intraday low of $1.9 on Sunday. The capitulation followed a broader market trend as the geopolitical tension in the Middle East escalated.

Analyst Foresaw Retest

Top analyst EGRAG Crypto pointed to his earlier analysis in a Sunday X post, where he predicted the retest. He drew the community’s attention to a June 13 tweet in which he stated that XRP could drop into a white box area on a chart accompanying the analysis.

For context, he shared in the commentary that the $2.20 support was crucial to preventing lower prices for XRP. If it failed to close above the support level, the market watcher predicted a retest of the $2.08 area and possibly the $1.90 demand zone.

Support Successfully Retested

Most recently, EGRAG identified that XRP has successfully tested the white box, as he predicted. While many may be panicking, he suggested that this is bullish for XRP, as it has established the macro-support as a stronghold.

Furthermore, the analyst shared an updated chart, presenting two scenarios for XRP, which could either lead to further corrections or spark a rebound to new highs. He also identified a zone that would determine the direction XRP would take next.

For perspective, EGRAG suggested that if XRP fails to reclaim the $2.08 macro support, it could continue to consolidate downwards, retesting $1.90 and possibly $1.77. An accompanying chart indicates that XRP could drop even further, with support at $1.47 being crucial to its near-term upward trajectory.

Updated XRP Analysis/EGRAG Crypto

Here’s the Good News

However, EGRAG highlighted that a close above $2.08 on the 12-hour timeframe, with further confirmations on higher timeframes, would spur an upside run. According to him, the quick rebound would indicate that bulls are aggressively stepping in, a propellant for higher prices.

Meanwhile, the analyst shared crucial breakout zones for XRP’s rebound. First, XRP would need to reclaim the $2.30 to $2.33 price zone, aligning with the upper trendline of an identified descending triangle.

Further, EGRAG identified the $2.65 price mark as the “macro signaling level,” which a close above would spark a full bullish run. Interestingly, the analyst had earlier predicted a surge to unprecedented prices if XRP regained bullish momentum, forecasting prices of $13, $17, and $27.

In the meantime, XRP trades at $2.00, down 2.37% in the past 24 hours.

If SHIB Beats Tether, Here’s How Much 1 Shiba Inu Could Be Worth

0

Surpassing Tether’s current market cap could push Shiba Inu to a new all-time high, potentially dropping one of its leading zeros.

Despite crashing to a 16-month low of $0.00001010 over the weekend, Shiba Inu still maintained its position as the 19th-biggest crypto by market cap. However, it risks being overtaken by Litecoin and dropping to the 20th position.

Nonetheless, many investors remain optimistic, encouraged by bullish statements from the Shiba Inu team, which promised better days for SHIB.

Through its marketing lead, Lucie, the team emphasized that it is not yet over until Shiba Inu wins. Last year, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, hinted at plans to position SHIB among the top 5 cryptocurrencies.

Market Cap Required for SHIB to Overtake Tether

Several months after Kusama’s bold claim, we examine how much one SHIB would be worth if Shiba Inu overtook Tether’s (USDT) market cap. Tether has ranked among the top five crypto assets for years.

At the time Kusama made his comments, USDT was the third-largest cryptocurrency. As of press time, it still holds that position, boasting a market cap of $156.02 billion. Meanwhile, Shiba Inu is currently the 19th-largest crypto with a valuation of $6.37 billion.

Assuming Shiba Inu’s market cap increases to $156.1 billion while Tether’s valuation remains stable at $156.02 billion, SHIB would surpass USDT to become the third-largest cryptocurrency globally. Shiba Inu would be trailing only Bitcoin and Ethereum in this hypothetical scenario.

Shiba Inu Price If It Surpasses Tether

Such a development would significantly impact SHIB’s price, potentially pushing it to levels never seen before. For reference, when SHIB hit its all-time high of $0.00008845 in October 2021, its market cap was under $45 billion.

If Shiba Inu’s market cap reaches $156.1 billion with a circulating supply of 589.25 trillion tokens, each SHIB would be worth approximately $0.0002649. This represents a 2,350% increase from its current price of $0.00001081.

Is $0.0002649 Feasible for Shiba Inu?

Reaching this new price milestone would mark an all-time high for SHIB and remove one zero from its price. Since its launch, SHIB has never traded with just three leading zeros.

Nonetheless, some experts believe SHIB could eventually reach $0.0002649. While crypto exchange Changelly predicts this could happen by May 2032, Telegaon estimates it could materialize as early as 2028.

Meanwhile, The Crypto Basic has reported several projections from top experts who believe the $0.0002 price milestone is within reach.

In September 2024, Analyst Michael referenced a bullish Elliott Wave formation on Shiba Inu’s chart to predict a surge to the $0.0002 mark in the medium term.

In addition, Charting Guy disclosed that he was doubling his Shiba Inu holdings in anticipation of a major spike to the $0.0002 range. He made this prediction in November 2024, when SHIB was trading around $0.000025. Since then, SHIB has dropped 60% and is now trading at $0.00001081.

Despite this decline, the prospect of a price surge to $0.0002649 remains. The token has previously experienced massive rallies, the largest of which occurred during the 2020–2021 bull run.

However, whether SHIB can ultimately reach a $156.1 billion market cap or surpass Tether’s valuation remains speculative.

Incoming Product To Put Billions of Dollars of XRP to Work: Flare CEO

Flare Networks CEO and co-founder Hugo Philion has hinted at a major turning point for XRP and its holders.

In a recent tweet, Philion stated the upcoming product, Firelight, could put billions of idle XRP liquidity to work on. This development would mark a pivotal moment for XRP holders, many of whom have long awaited the opportunity to earn yield through decentralized finance without relinquishing control of their assets.

How Firelight Will Unlock Billions for XRP

For the uninitiated, Firelight is a new liquid staking protocol launching on Flare. It enables users to wrap XRP into FXRP, deposit it into a secure vault, and mint a new asset called stXRP in return.

FXRP, the wrapped version of XRP used in Firelight, is generated through Flare’s FAssets system. This protocol brings non-smart contract tokens like XRP, BTC, and DOGE onto the network for smart contract use.

The resulting stXRP token represents staked XRP, and holders can freely trade, lend, or deploy across DeFi protocols. The underlying FXRP remains locked and actively earns rewards through Flare’s Secured Service Network. In essence, this system allows XRP holders to participate in yield generation without sacrificing liquidity.

Institutions Already Onboard

Interestingly, Firelight is already winning institutional backing. For instance, clean energy company VivoPower has committed $100 million worth of XRP to Firelight via the Flare network.

Crypto exchange Uphold is also playing a key role as a launch partner. Specifically, it facilitates retail access to FXRP and supports the infrastructure for staking participation.

Commentators view this early institutional adoption as the first wave of a broader movement. Even a small portion of XRP’s $120 billion market cap entering Firelight could significantly impact DeFi liquidity and XRP’s utility.

Why This Matters for XRP

XRP has historically lacked native smart contract functionality, which has limited its role in the DeFi space and left over $100 billion untapped. Thanks to its unique interoperability features and staking products like Firelight, Flare is helping XRP gain a foothold in modern on-chain finance.

Other crypto assets with similar technical limitations include Bitcoin and Dogecoin. Meanwhile, Bitcoin DeFi initiatives are also progressing, particularly with Cardano and other platforms.

With widespread adoption, Firelight could dramatically increase XRP’s utility. As a result, Philion has suggested that Firelight could serve as a gateway for billions of dollars in XRP liquidity to enter the on-chain economy.

Other prominent voices in the XRP community share this vision. Commenting on the post, attorney Bill Morgan remarked that XRP needs to “work harder,” stressing that it does not serve an “imaginary store of value” purpose.

This Critical Dogecoin Support Level is Likely to Hold, Potentially Pushing Price to $0.1616: Analyst

0

Analyst says Dogecoin is testing a key support zone, showing signs of a potential bullish reversal.

Over the past week, Dogecoin has seen a consistent downward trend, moving from above $0.18 to a low near $0.146. As of June 23, it is trading around $0.153, following a slight bounce.

Despite the 13.28% drop over the last seven days and a 1.56% decline in the past 24 hours, a recent support level in the 1-hour chart, per Landry Anael, suggests a potential shift.

Technical Indicators Highlight Key Support Zone

Dogecoin is currently positioned near a critical support range between $0.14500 and $0.14872, according to the analyst. This area has shown strong resilience, having been tested several times over the past few days. Price action on June 20 and 21 saw downward moves halted at $0.15829 and $0.15009 respectively, signaling the presence of buyers defending this zone.

Screenshot 2025 06 23T110012979
Dogecoin Price Prediction

Further confirming bearish market pressure, the 200-period Simple Moving Average (SMA) on the chart is trending downward and stands at $0.1692. DOGE continues to trade well below this level, suggesting bears still control the broader trend. However, within the support zone, a recent reversal candlestick has formed, indicating a potential short-term bullish reaction.

Based on Anael’s structure, a stop-loss level has been set at $0.14050. Meanwhile, the take-profit target is defined at $0.16169, aligning with a prior resistance zone visible from past price levels. A price move from the current level of $0.1538 to $0.16169 would require a 5.13% gain. According to the analyst, the daily chart also aligns.

Dogecoin Wallet Activity Shows Strong Growth Across Key Metrics

While technical charts suggest a potential bounce, on-chain wallet metrics point to heightened user activity. In the past seven days, the number of new addresses (NA) has surged by 102.40%.

Screenshot 2025 06 23T113459789
Dogecoin Daily Active Addresses

Similarly, active addresses (AA) rose by 111.32%, and zero balance addresses (ZBA) increased by 155.46%. This growth in participation reflects a broader engagement in DOGE transactions despite recent price weakness.

These changes in address metrics may influence Dogecoin’s near-term momentum, especially as the token holds near its support. Notably, increased activity often precedes directional moves, adding context to current chart behavior.

Dogecoin Ownership Data Signals Shift Among Holders

Meanwhile, the latest 30-day Historical Concentration data reveals a shift in DOGE ownership. Large holders, or whales holding over 1% of the supply, increased their positions by 0.34%.

Screenshot 2025 06 23T113803149
Dogecoin Historical Concentration

Conversely, mid-tier investors with 0.1%–1% holdings reduced their stake by 2.59%, possibly suggesting redistribution or profit-taking. Retail ownership, representing addresses holding less than 0.1%, grew by 1.44%.

XRP Could Climb to $10 Using Kangaroo, Gaussian, EMA, and Elliott Wave Strategy: Analyst

0

XRP may be warming up for a strong price rally, with market analyst EGRAG pointing to a mix of technical tools that could drive it to two digits.

In his latest analysis, EGRAG tied together three charts using the Kangaroo Technique, the Gaussian Channel, the 21-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA), and Elliott Wave Theory. His analysis presented how these indicators all point toward an ongoing consolidation that may soon flip into an uptrend.

The Gaussian Channel, Kangaroo Technique, and 21 EMA

EGRAG’s first chart shows XRP holding above the top line of the Gaussian Channel, currently at $1.75. He sees this price level as critical. If XRP stays above it on a weekly close, it keeps the bullish trend alive. However, a close below that line could signal the start of a deeper pullback.

On the same chart, EGRAG placed kangaroo icons to mark other important zones: one near $0.06 and another around $3.40. Notably, the kangaroo icon at the $0.06 zone in 2017 aligned with a launchpad to the $3.8 all-time high later that year.

XRP Gaussian Channel and 21 EMA EGRAG Crypto
XRP Gaussian Channel and 21 EMA | EGRAG Crypto

Notably, the appearance of another kangaroo icon at the recent $3.4 high suggests this price could also serve as a launchpad. EGRAG also highlighted the 21 EMA, which appears just below the current price and confirms a bullish tone as long as XRP doesn’t fall under it.

Further, he mentioned a pattern from 2017 that shows a buildup before the breakout to $3.8 in January 2018. According to him, XRP could repeat this pattern if a breakout occurs in July. However, if XRP fails to rally in July, he believes the market may move sideways for up to 110 days.

XRP Elliott Waves Eye $10 Target

Meanwhile, in the second chart, EGRAG pointed to $2.33 as the next major resistance just above the EMA. Specifically, if XRP crosses that level, the bullish momentum could strengthen. He also identified $2.65 as a breakout trigger, calling it the “go-go signal.” A weekly close above that line would confirm a firm move upward.

XRP Go-Go Signal EGRAG Crypto

Despite the recent drop amid the market-wide collapse, XRP still holds the $2 price support, which keeps it well above the key $1.75 level. EGRAG sees this recent dip as part of normal volatility but warns that slipping below $1.75 could damage the setup.

Notably, the third chart uses Elliott Wave Theory to highlight XRP’s current position. EGRAG believes XRP sits in Wave 5 of a larger cycle, which typically marks the final push upward. He calculated a potential 477% gain based on Fibonacci extensions, which places the next big target between $9 and $10.

XRP Elliott Wave Structure EGRAG Crypto

He based this on the combined strength of Waves 1 and 3, applying the 61.8% ratio to estimate Wave 5. While EGRAG names $10 as a near-term peak, he also hints at a possible stretch to $27 if momentum continues.

Still, there are some risks. XRP must hold the $1.75 level to maintain its bullish structure. If the token fails to break higher before the end of July, the market may abandon the current pattern and slide into another long period of sideways movement.

However, in the short run, traders should watch for XRP to reach $2.33 and then $2.65. Those two levels could confirm the beginning of a strong rally. If the support holds and XRP breaks past resistance, the road to $10 may begin.

XRP Has Potential for Strong Upside as Many See It Outpacing Bitcoin, Says Teucrium CEO

0

Sal Gilbertie, CEO of Teucrium, says XRP shows strong demand and long-term upside, with many believing it could outperform Bitcoin.

Currently trading at $2.02, a 7.35% decline over the past week, XRP’s short-term performance has not deterred investor interest. Instead, the focus is increasingly on its broader role within financial infrastructure.

In a recent interview, Gilbertie highlighted the growing demand for XRP-linked investment products. He acknowledged the sentiment shared by many observers that XRP could offer greater long-term gains than Bitcoin.

XRP community influencer “Digital Asset Investor” highlighted Gilbertie’s commentary on XRP in a tweet.

Bitcoin as a Digital Store of Value

Comparing XRP with other major cryptocurrencies, Gilbertie described Bitcoin as a digital store of value, similar to digital gold. While he acknowledged ongoing efforts to add functionality to Bitcoin, he emphasized that its primary utility remains wealth preservation. Regarding Ethereum, Gilbertie admitted he lacks a deep understanding of its ecosystem and therefore refrained from offering a strong opinion.

When discussing XRP, however, Gilbertie pointed to its active use case. He explained that Ripple is building the foundational “rails” for digital and tokenized financial systems.

While initially tailored to finance, these systems could eventually support a broader range of tokenization applications. XRP serves as the core token within this infrastructure.

Ripple is Highly Professional and Focused: Gilbertie

Furthermore, Gilbertie stated that his team views Ripple as highly professional and focused. He credited the company’s dedication and long-term vision. He said the firm’s confidence in Ripple and the utility of XRP were central to the ETF’s development.

Addressing the choice to offer a 2x leveraged XRP ETF rather than a 2x Bitcoin ETF, Gilbertie explained that the market continues seeking specialized trading vehicles. Given Teucrium’s background as a derivatives-focused firm, he said the company aimed to develop a product that was not already easily accessible. Most crypto-savvy investors, he added, already understand how to buy XRP directly.

While recognizing that a 2x leveraged product carries higher risk and volatility, Gilbertie reiterated his belief in XRP’s long-term use case.

Although he did not offer any price forecasts, he emphasized that XRP’s role in enabling tokenization could support its future growth. He also cautioned that leveraged products require careful handling due to their increased risk profile.

“XRP Offers More Attractive Risk-Reward Ratio than Bitcoin”

Separately, Edoardo Farina, founder of Alpha Lions Academy, presented a supporting view of XRP’s investment profile. In his analysis, Farina argues XRP offers a more attractive risk-reward ratio than Bitcoin.

With Bitcoin trading at over $100,000, Farina suggested that XRP’s growth potential remains relatively conservative yet realistic by comparison. Given its lower entry price and increasing use case traction, Farina’s commentary suggests that XRP could outperform Bitcoin in terms of returns.

However, some critics disagree with this perspective.
