CryptoCom Introduces XRP Strike Options in Latest Product Rollout

0

Crypto.com, the Singapore-based crypto exchange, has expanded its Strike Options product to include XRP contracts, broadening access to derivatives trading for U.S. users.

This addition follows a surge in XRP-related activity, including a major real estate tokenization initiative in Dubai and new price entry strategies shared by a known crypto analyst.

The exchange announced the update via its official X account, calling on XRP holders to engage with the platform’s regulated crypto derivatives.

Predict XRP Price and Win

Strike Options, currently limited to U.S. jurisdictions, allow traders to predict whether an asset’s price will finish above or below a strike price at the end of a 20-minute window.

XRP now joins Bitcoin, Solana, Ether, Dogecoin, Cronos, Shiba Inu, and Litecoin among available assets.

With the inclusion of XRP, Strike Options continues to expand its catalog of supported digital assets under the oversight of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The product enables users to execute trades based on simple “Yes” or “No” price predictions, with a minimum position size of $10.

This model allows market participants to respond quickly to short-term price movements. Users can also adjust positions during the active 20-minute cycle, offering flexibility in volatile markets. Crypto.com stated that additional jurisdictions would gain access to Strike Options in the near future, but did not confirm specific timelines.

Dubai Taps XRP Ledger for Real Estate Tokenization

On the same day as the contract expansion, the Dubai Land Department adopted the XRP Ledger for its first real estate tokenization initiative. The blockchain will serve as the infrastructure for a new project led by Ctrl Alt, a financial engineering firm specializing in digital asset infrastructure.

This initiative has received backing from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, the Dubai Future Foundation, and the real estate platform Prypco.

Analyt Plans to Go Big on XRP

Meanwhile, technical analysts still see the potential for XRP to trade higher in the upcoming sessions, so they are planning to place bets on the crypto.

For example, Dennis Liu, a crypto angel investor and host of the VirtualBacon channel, revealed his plan to enter the XRP market for the first time, citing a specific setup in the XRP/BTC trading pair. He is monitoring a potential 20% to 23% drop from the current ratio of 0.00002136, targeting a range between 0.000017 and 0.000019, which he calls the “value zone.”

He outlined two scenarios for reaching this level: either XRP falls to $1.80 if Bitcoin holds around $100,000, or the ratio drops naturally if Bitcoin climbs toward $128,000 while XRP remains stable.

XRP End 80-Week Inflow Streak as Bitcoin and Crypto Investment Products Attract $3.3B

0

XRP saw its first weekly outflow in 80 weeks as the global crypto investment products extended their inflow streak to six weeks.

Investors have again shown keen interest in cryptocurrencies and investment vehicles tracking the sector. Last week’s stellar Bitcoin and crypto price performance attracted massive inflows into digital asset investment products and extended their positive streak.

Specifically, a CoinShares Monday report shows that the crypto products globally recorded a net inflow of $3.3 billion the previous week. This ensured a six-week consecutive inflow, bringing the total inflow to $10.8 billion year-to-date and a record $187.5 billion in assets under management (AUM).

Crypto Investment Weekly Flows

Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market cap grew 6% in the previous week to $3.5 trillion, driven by an altcoin resurgence and Bitcoin’s rally to price discovery. The pioneering cryptocurrency reached a new all-time high of $112,000 on May 22, extending recent bullish momentum.

Crypto Inflow Details

Bitcoin led inflows into crypto investment vehicles as the US spot exchange-traded funds amassed staggering amounts last week. Bitcoin funds saw a net weekly inflow of $2.98 billion, pushing month-to-date and year-to-date to $5.49 billion and $10.2 billion, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ethereum-based funds recorded a 15-week high net inflow of $326.2 million, as sentiments around the asset continue to improve. Solana and SUI products also saw net positive flows of $4.3 million and $2.9 million, with short Bitcoin attracting $12.7 million, its largest since December 2024.

However, investment vehicles tracking XRP, the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, saw their first outflow in 80 weeks. They saw a $37.2 million outflow last week, their highest on record, as investors fled from the asset amid its consolidation.

Meanwhile, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) dominated proceedings for issuers. It saw a net inflow of $2.56 billion, with one of its daily performances last week beating the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) for the first time.

The Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust (FBTC) followed IBIT, attracting $210 million. Other funds, such as Ark Investments’ and Bitwise’s US Bitcoin ETFs, recorded net weekly inflows of $101 million and $48 million, respectively.

The US Leads Inflow by Region

By geographical distribution, the United States commanded the largest inflow with its $3.3 billion weekly positive flow. The US accounted for 98% of flows, while Germany, Hong Kong, and Australia provided the others.

Germany-based crypto funds attracted $41.5 million, Hong Kong $33.3 million, and Australia $10.9 million. Notably, this compensated for outflows from Switzerland, Sweden, and Brazil.

Expert Says Bitcoin Is Hard to Understand, Harder to Hold — But It’s Built to Rise Forever

0

An expert on X says holding Bitcoin often leads to wealth, but the process feels frustrating for investors most of the time.

Bitcoin experienced a volatile past week, briefly climbing past $111,800 on May 23 before undergoing a pullback to around $107,000 the following day. Despite this short-term correction, the crypto closed the week at nearly $110,000, with a current trading value of $109,770.

While the price movement remains in focus, analysts continue to emphasize Bitcoin’s broader growth trend and its evolving role in the financial landscape.

Long-Term Trends Show Resilience Amid Volatility

Thomas Fahrer, co-founder of Apollo, said that Holding Bitcoin can feel frustrating most of the time—but it’s deflationary by design, built to rise in value over time. A concept many still struggle to understand.

He presented a logarithmic price chart of Bitcoin covering a range from 2011 to a projected 2031. The chart features a curved trendline, which captures Bitcoin’s long-term exponential growth pattern.

Some of the most notable instances where Bitcoin retested and respected this curve include the February 2015 crash, where BTC found support around $212. Another critical retest occurred in late 2020, when Bitcoin bottomed around $5,000. Most recently, in the 2022 market panic, Bitcoin dipped to around $16,000 after hitting a peak above $67,000 in late 2021.

Image

However, despite these periods of high volatility and corrections, the chart shows Bitcoin maintaining a consistent upward trajectory over time. Logarithmic scales, often used for assets with exponential growth, help contextualize Bitcoin’s price action in the long term.

This presentation aligns with a broader narrative that Bitcoin, although prone to sharp pullbacks, has historically moved higher across longer timeframes.

Fahrer pointed to this resilience, noting the psychological difficulty many investors face. He described how holding Bitcoin often feels frustrating 90% of the time, despite the asset’s historical returns.

Bitcoin’s Monetary Design Contrasted with Fiat Currency

Fahrer also outlined Bitcoin’s deflationary model. Unlike fiat currencies, which increase in supply and lose value due to inflation, Bitcoin has a fixed cap of 21 million coins. Its issuance rate declines every four years through programmed halving events, reducing the number of new coins entering circulation.

Fahrer described Bitcoin as deflationary money, designed to increase in value permanently. He also noted that the concept remains difficult for the human mind to comprehend, adding that most people still do not fully grasp it.

Adding to this perspective, a Bitcoin investor using the alias Carl Menger created a visual comparison of purchasing power changes from 2020 to 2025. The data shows that $100 held in U.S. dollars would decline to $76 due to inflation.

In contrast, $100 invested in Bitcoin over the same period would have grown to $1,201. This side-by-side comparison highlights the opposing outcomes of holding fiat money versus a deflationary digital asset like Bitcoin.

Changing Perceptions of Wealth Creation

Meanwhile, financial literacy author Robert Kiyosaki addressed his social media followers, noting how Bitcoin has simplified wealth creation. He explained that individuals no longer need to rely on traditional assets like gold to grow their wealth. Based on historical returns, he stated that even a small investment in Bitcoin could deliver significant gains.

Kiyosaki also addressed a common misconception about needing to own a full Bitcoin. He emphasized that owning as little as 0.01 BTC could potentially yield large returns in the coming years.

Circle Denies Plans to Sell Itself to Coinbase or Ripple

0

Leading stablecoin issuer Circle denies its potential sale to San Francisco-based crypto companies Ripple Labs or Coinbase.

A spokesperson affiliated with the USDC stablecoin issuer refuted the claim in a recent statement issued to PYMNTS.

This follows reports that Circle was in informal discussions to sell itself to Coinbase or Ripple. In particular, a Fortune report suggested that Circle was exploring a sale at a valuation of $5 billion, which corresponds with the figure it is targeting for its Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Despite these reports, the Circle spokesperson emphatically denied any plans to sell itself to another entity, including Coinbase and Ripple. According to them, Circle is committed to its long-term goals.

Circle’s IPO Efforts

Although the spokesperson did not provide details about Circle’s long-term goals, the company has been considering plans to go public through an IPO. The company first disclosed its IPO plans in December 2022–over a year after Coinbase went public.

However, the stablecoin issuer’s IPO plan was stalled, prompting it to relaunch its ambitions in January 2024. As of last month, Circle lined up investment banks to serve as underwriters for the planned IPO. Despite this move, there is still no precise date regarding when the company would go public.

Ripple and Coinbase Engage in Bidding War for Circle

Meanwhile, rumors about Circle’s potential sale started making the rounds last month. At the time, Bloomberg reported that Circle rejected Ripple’s initial offer of around $4 billion to $5 billion as too low.

Subsequent reports indicated Coinbase joined the race to acquire Circle, kicking off a bidding war with Ripple. According to Angel investor Paul Barron, Ripple had an edge in the bid for Circle, proposing between $9 billion and $11 billion.

Moreover, a Fortune report portrayed Ripple as having a strong balance sheet for the potential acquisition and suggested that Ripple could complete the acquisition by paying in cash and XRP.

Coinbase at an Advantage Over Ripple

Although Ripple has the financial prowess to complete the acquisition, sources familiar with the matter disclosed that Coinbase’s existing relationship with Circle could influence any decision to acquire the USDC issuer.

In 2018, Circle and Coinbase jointly launched the Centre Consortium crypto project to issue the USDC stablecoin. Through this venture, Coinbase acquired a minority stake in Circle, and they share profits generated from short-term securities and cash backing USDC.

At the moment, Circle is prohibited from being involved in any partnership that jeopardizes Coinbase’s USDC revenue. Based on an earlier agreement, Coinbase must give Circle the green light before it enters into such a partnership.

With this arrangement in place, Coinbase is expected to acquire Circle if it considers the deal appropriate easily. However, Circle has now officially refuted claims of its potential sale to Coinbase or Ripple.

UFC Legend McGregor Asks About XRP: Here’s What He’s Looking For

UFC legend McGregor questions why the U.S. is including XRP, Cardano, and Solana in its crypto reserve amid claims that only Bitcoin and Ethereum are decentralized.

The recent comments come from Bitcoin and Ethereum advocates insisting that only Bitcoin and Ethereum are truly decentralized. McGregor raised the issue on X, attracting reactions from Bitcoin supporters.

In his post, he called attention to President Donald Trump’s March 2025 announcement confirming that the U.S. crypto reserve would hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano.

McGregor, who is now becoming a voice in the crypto scene, said he found it odd that the government would choose assets that many consider less decentralized than Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Bitcoin supporters flooded the replies, urging McGregor to focus only on Bitcoin and ignore what they called “centralized tokens.” However, Cardano proponents argued that Cardano is the most decentralized network, especially considering its new on-chain governance.

McGregor Pushing for Bitcoin Adoption as an Independent Candidate

McGregor’s recent post built on a bigger campaign he has been pushing since early May. From May 9, McGregor ramped up his political push for a Bitcoin strategic reserve in Ireland.

As an independent candidate in the 2025 Irish presidential race, he has framed Bitcoin as “people’s money” and argued that Ireland should follow the growing list of countries considering Bitcoin for their national reserves.

He hosted several discussions on X Spaces, calling for expert input from figures like Anthony Pompliano, David Bailey, and Max Keiser. His campaign focuses on making Ireland a leader in Bitcoin adoption to promote transparency, economic freedom, and monetary sovereignty.

Calls for Bitcoin Reserves in the EU

The global push surrounding Bitcoin reserves supports McGregor’s ambitions. Several countries are exploring Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation, economic instability, or overreliance on the U.S. dollar.

In the European Union, the Czech Republic is reviewing a proposal to allocate up to 5% of its national reserves into Bitcoin, with Czech National Bank Governor Aleš Michl backing the idea.

In Poland, presidential candidate Sławomir Mentzen has pledged to establish a Bitcoin reserve. Germany has seen similar calls from former finance minister Christian Lindner.

Global Push

Outside the EU, lawmakers in Russia want a Bitcoin reserve to protect the country from sanctions and currency devaluation. Brazil’s congress is reviewing a bill for a Sovereign Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, while Japan is also debating a reserve, though concerns about volatility still hold back progress there.

In the U.S., Trump’s March executive order greenlit a Bitcoin reserve funded through seized crypto assets, with Senator Cynthia Lummis’ BITCOIN Act aiming to accumulate one million BTC over five years.

Meanwhile, El Salvador, the world’s first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, already holds over 6,000 BTC and continues to promote Bitcoin as a national asset under President Nayib Bukele’s leadership.

McGregor plans to meet with Bukele to better understand El Salvador’s approach and apply those lessons to Ireland, though the EU’s regulatory framework presents challenges.

Specifically, the European Central Bank remains skeptical of Bitcoin, and ECB President Christine Lagarde has publicly ruled out holding it as part of EU central bank reserves.

McGregor’s Earlier Involvement in Crypto

McGregor’s growing presence in crypto comes after a turbulent April, when his meme coin “REAL” failed to take off. The coin launched through a sealed-bid auction but raised only $392,000, far below its $1 million minimum target.

Notably, the team refunded all bids and paused the project, promising a future relaunch with stronger community involvement.

However, McGregor’s crypto journey began earlier. In 2021, he joined Dapper Labs for a UFC NFT project on the Flow blockchain, giving fans access to digital collectibles. The next year, he endorsed XTB and Tiger.Trade, though the latter faced criticism due to links with the collapsed FTX exchange.

Here’s Proof Ripple Isn’t Just Dumping XRP for Profit, According to Analyst

Ripple critics have often accused the company of using XRP merely as a fundraising tool, dumping the token to enrich itself while offering little real-world utility in return.

However, a major new development out of Dubai is flipping that narrative on its head. The Dubai Land Department (DLD), in collaboration with tokenization platform Ctrl Alt, has officially launched a government-backed real estate tokenization initiative on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

This marks a historic first in the Middle East, where firms are using a public blockchain to tokenize property title deeds. The project enables fractional ownership of real estate, fully compliant with local laws, through direct integration with Dubai’s traditional property registration systems.

PRYPCO Mint, the platform behind the initiative, is already live. Entry points are as low as AED 2,000 ($545), making property investment significantly more accessible.

According to the announcement, the initiative could drive a $16 billion market by 2033, accounting for roughly 7% of Dubai’s entire real estate transaction volume.

Given the significance of this latest XRPL integration, the move has triggered a wave of reactions within the XRP community.

“Ripple Just Dumps XRP”? Analyst Fires Back

XRP community analyst @CryptoInsightUK responded to the news by reminding investors that Ripple remains the only crypto company with a full crypto payments license in the UAE.

Notably, the company achieved this milestone in March of this year. Following a recent meeting with key leaders in the UAE, Ripple is now aiming to build on this momentum.

Commenting on the development, CryptoInsightUK emphasized that the tokenization of land has occurred on the XRPL in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies — a direct counter to the narrative that Ripple merely dumps XRP for profit.

He stressed that Dubai’s XRPL integration is clear evidence of the XRP Ledger’s real-world utility, contradicting the idea that it serves no meaningful purpose.

Tokenized Real Estate Backed by Government and VARA

Notably, the project comes under Dubai’s Real Estate Evolution Space Initiative (REES) and aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033. Both aim to drive technological advancement across key industries.

Ctrl Alt worked closely with the DLD to ensure seamless coordination between blockchain and traditional registries. Interestingly, the official release stated that they chose the XRPL for its long-standing reliability, low fees, and decentralized infrastructure.

According to Matt Ong, CEO of Ctrl Alt, the initiative opens up real estate investment to a broader audience. It delivers next-generation financial infrastructure while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Ripple’s Growing Global Footprint

Ripple already holds a full payments license in the UAE, making it one of the few crypto firms in the region with this level of regulatory clarity. This, alongside the XRPL’s selection for a government-level project, signals mainstream adoption and growing confidence in XRP’s underlying technology.

Interestingly, even the World Economic Forum has recognized XRPL and Ripple in this regard. In its latest report on asset tokenization, the WEF highlighted XRPL as the foundation for the world’s first $1 billion tokenized private equity and debt fund.

This fund leverages XRPL’s decentralized infrastructure to digitize traditionally illiquid assets, enhancing investor access, liquidity, and transparency.

Citing its speed, security, and low costs, Ripple CTO David Schwartz praised XRPL’s role in transforming private equity. Aurum CEO Venkat Bussa called it a major step forward in real-world asset tokenization.

Here’s What Could Push Shiba Inu All the Way to $0.01

0

The alignment of several factors could propel Shiba Inu into a strong rally, potentially paving the way for a surge toward the $0.01 mark.

Market participants have remained focused on Shiba Inu, with some predicting its rally to $0.01. This prediction has triggered a significant debate within the crypto community.

Is $0.01 a Realistic Target for Shiba Inu?

As a result, several community members have questioned the possibility of Shiba Inu achieving this lofty target. Amid these concerns, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, portrayed the $0.01 prediction as a realistic target for Shiba Inu. However, she asserted that the prediction would not happen anytime soon, suggesting it could take longer before SHIB hits the target.

Community expert Luis Delgado (Del Crxpto) also backed the $0.01 prediction while responding to critics who claimed SHIB would not hit the target in its lifetime.

He argued that the crypto market has repeatedly demonstrated that anything is possible, implying that SHIB reaching $0.01 would not be an exception.

Further, experts from Changelly also believe the $0.01 target is realistic. They speculate the forecast would materialize by October 2040, 15 years from now. Despite these forecasts, many argue that SHIB will never reach $0.01, pointing to its vast 589.5 trillion token supply as the primary obstacle.

Based on Shiba Inu’s enormous supply, if its price soars to $0.01 per token, SHIB would skyrocket to a market cap of $5.89 trillion. This valuation surpasses Bitcoin’s current market cap and other major assets like silver.

Shiba Inu market cap at $001
Shiba Inu market cap at $001

Factors That Could Take SHIB to $0.01

Meanwhile, hitting the $0.01 target hinges on several factors, including burns, overall growth of the crypto market, and increased SHIB utility.

Massive SHIB Burns

Many argue that burning a substantial portion of Shiba Inu’s supply is the most suitable approach toward driving SHIB’s price to the $0.01 mark. The process involves reducing the number of SHIB in circulation by sending some to the official dead wallet.

There are multiple ways this reduction could occur, including:

  • Voluntary burns by community members
  • Shibarium-powered burns
  • Burns by major exchanges like Binance and Coinbase using a portion of the fees collected from SHIB deposits and withdrawals

With a reduced supply, Shiba Inu wouldn’t require a massive market cap to reach $0.01. For example, if the total supply were reduced from 589 trillion to 50 trillion, the market cap required to hit $0.01 would be around $500 billion, much more achievable.

Bitcoin Market Cap Expansion

Another factor that could push SHIB’s price to $0.01 is the massive expansion of the total crypto market’s valuation led by Bitcoin’s rally. Notably, Bitcoin’s price action usually influences the performance of other crypto assets.

Shiba Inu’s correlation with Bitcoin has been around 87% over the past two months, showing BTC’s significant influence on SHIB’s price. If Bitcoin reaches an ambitious target of $1 million, the entire crypto market would likely experience a substantial boost.

Notably, Shiba Inu has a tendency to outperform Bitcoin during rallies, meaning even a modest surge in BTC could translate into greater gains for SHIB.

Mainstream Utility and Adoption

Furthermore, SHIB could experience substantial gains if the token sees more mainstream utility and real-world integration. This could involve being used as a payment method on major platforms such as Spotify, Amazon, Uber, Shopify, and Netflix.

Such adoption would drive demand and potentially lead to a significant price increase, bringing SHIB closer to the $0.01 target.

Strong Ecosystem Growth

Meanwhile, the growth of the Shiba Inu ecosystem could also support SHIB’s potential surge to the $0.01 price target. This expansion includes millions of daily Shibarium transactions driving SHIB burns, SHIB’s use in DeFi activities like staking and yield farming, the emergence of SHIB-powered games and debit cards, and its integration into the Web3 payment plugin.

Social Virality

Shiba Inu’s price could also surge if endorsed by celebrities or influential figures, such as Elon Musk. Recall that Musk was instrumental in driving Dogecoin’s price to an all-time high in 2021.

Despite attempts from Shiba Inu enthusiasts to attract his attention to SHIB, Musk has refused to give SHIB similar support. However, if he were to change course and show support, it could ignite a significant rally.

Moreover, widespread media coverage during bullish market phases could further drive investor interest and fuel SHIB’s upward momentum. Notably, media attention also contributed to Shiba Inu’s performance last season.

Breakout Above This Pattern Could Send Dogecoin to $3, Analyst Says

0

An analyst has charted a multi-year symmetrical triangle for Dogecoin, noting that a breakout above a key pattern could propel DOGE to the moon.

Dogecoin remained stable above the $0.22 mark between May 20 and May 26, following a peak of $0.25 on May 23.

Over the past 24 hours, the token has gained 4.1%, suggesting a possible rebound from a technical support zone. On a weekly basis, DOGE is up 5%, signaling sustained strength despite a midweek pullback.

Multi-Year Pattern on Technical Charts

Amid this relatively strong performance, TradingView analyst Akbar Karimzsfeh called attention to a long-term consolidation pattern on Dogecoin’s chart. The symmetrical triangle structure dates back to the asset’s all-time high of $0.73536 on May 3, 2021.

The formation began after the decline from that high, with the price bottoming at $0.048 on June 13, 2022. Attempts to break below this lower boundary followed on June 5, August 14, and October 9 of 2023. However, each effort failed to push the price lower.

Dogecoin chart by Akbar Karimzsfeh

At the core of the analysis lies a large yellow-shaded zone labeled as a “cup,” covering the period from mid-2021 to early 2025. The cup pattern represents long-term accumulation.

Breakout Above This Level Could Send Dogecoin to the Moon

In this context, the two converging lines of the symmetrical triangle confirm that Dogecoin remains in consolidation mode. Notably, the upper edge of the triangle also aligns with the rim of the cup near $0.49160. According to the analyst, a breakout above this level is critical for further upside.

Following an attempted breakout in December 2024, the price approached the $0.4916 resistance level but was rejected. It then dropped to $0.13, marking a significant pullback. Since then, Dogecoin has shown resilience by regaining value during the May rally.

The analyst emphasized that only a breakout above the top of the yellow pattern, aligned with the rim of the cup, could trigger a substantial upward move. Until such confirmation occurs, he advised a cautious approach, urging market participants to “wait and watch.”

Upon a breakout, the chart identifies $3.08 as a potential target that DOGE holders can aim for.

DOGE On-Chain Data Supports Potential Surge

Meanwhile, on-chain metrics reflect a sharp increase in user activity. Over the past seven days, new addresses surged by 102.40%, while active addresses rose by 111.32%.

Screenshot 2025 05 26T125421892

Additionally, zero balance addresses increased by 155.45%, highlighting higher turnover and user engagement within the network.

These metrics suggest increased interest and transactional activity across the Dogecoin ecosystem, which could contribute to taking Dogecoin to the moon.

“I Was Told ETFs Launching Marked the Top,” ETF Store President Touts as Bitcoin Surges 138% Since US ETFs Debut

0

Bitcoin has recorded a three-digit percentage uptick since the US spot ETFs launched, which some speculated would mark the market top.

The US Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds made their debut in January 2024, with eleven issuers offering the investment product upon launch. Interestingly, the breakthrough followed court persuasion from Grayscale and BlackRock entering the race to provide the Bitcoin-focused product to their clients.

Well, the rest has been history. The traditional investment vehicles offering alternative exposure to Bitcoin saw pent-up demand upon market debut, driving prices to unprecedented highs. ETF Store president Nate Geraci highlighted this impact and contrary opinions on the premier asset’s price trajectory following the spot ETFs’ launch.

Bitcoin’s Price Up 138% Since ETFs Launch

In a tweet today, Geraci stressed that Bitcoin has been oozing bullishness since the launch of spot ETFs on January 11, 2024. At the start of the day, Bitcoin traded at $46,672; however, the pioneering cryptocurrency has rallied 138% to its current price of $109,753.

The ETF Store president noted that some suggested that the launch of the products marked the market’s top. Remarkably, certain market watchers urged investors to sell the news when the investment vehicles debuted, as optimism about their rollout had spurred a Bitcoin uptrend from around $30,000.

However, Bitcoin has defied that sentiment, spurred partly by the products’ success. The flagship cryptocurrency appreciated 121% in 2024, further extending its gains this year. Meanwhile, BTC had also attained a new all-time high of $112,000, defying its 2021 peak price of $69,000.

The Most Successful ETF Launch in History

The US Bitcoin spot ETFs achieved a remarkable feat in their first year amid instant institutional adoption. The issuers raked in a jaw-dropping $36 billion net inflow in 2024, becoming the first ETFs in history to record such traction in their inaugural year.

The BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust also made history, becoming the most successful ETF launch ever. The fund became the fastest to reach $50 billion in assets under management. It achieved the milestone in 226 days, trouncing the 1,329-day record held by the iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF.

Bitcoin ETFs’ Renewed Momentum

After a slow start to the year, incessant inflows into the US Bitcoin spot ETFs have resumed. For perspective, the investment vehicles have had mostly net inflows since April 17, with just three net outflow days in the 25 trading days. The momentum saw IBIT surpass the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF last week in daily positive flow for the first time.

Moreover, net inflows moved from $35.37 billion to $44.58 billion during the window, representing a staggering $9.21 billion addition. Furthermore, Friday’s daily net inflow of $211.74 million brings the US Bitcoin spot ETFs’ cumulative total to $44.53 billion and a net asset of $131.4 billion.

Dogecoin Eyes 48% Breakout as Bullish Momentum Rebuilds

Dogecoin holds steady above $0.20, eyeing a 48% surge as bullish patterns emerge. Derivatives data and key EMAs suggest a potential breakout ahead.

As Bitcoin’s price remains above the $109,000 mark, the meme coin market cap has resurfaced above $72 billion. Leading this short-term recovery is Dogecoin, which has gained 4% in the past 24 hours.

With Dogecoin holding firmly above the key psychological level of $0.20, the possibility of an inverted head-and-shoulders pattern breakout remains.

Dogecoin Price Analysis

On the daily chart, Dogecoin formed a bearish engulfing candle on May 23, reflecting an 8.29% pullback. This pullback challenged the breakout potential of the inverted head-and-shoulders pattern, as the price retraced from a long-standing resistance trendline.

Dogecoin Price Chart
Dogecoin Price Chart

Despite this, Dogecoin remains above the 23.60% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.2179, supported by a lower price rejection. A long-tailed doji candle formed on Sunday, and Dogecoin is currently trading at $0.2266, showing an intraday gain of 0.82%.

Furthermore, the price holds above the 200-day EMA, which aligns closely with the 23.60% Fibonacci level. Despite short-term weakness, the underlying bullish sentiment supports the potential for a breakout rally.

The 50-day and 100-day EMA lines are trending toward a bullish crossover. Meanwhile, the RSI remains flat above the midpoint, indicating a potential bullish reversal with room for further growth.

DOGE Price Targets

Based on the Fibonacci levels and the inverted head-and-shoulders pattern, a breakout could propel Dogecoin toward the $0.3830 level, representing a 48% surge.

However, a daily close below the 23.60% Fibonacci level would invalidate this bullish setup. In that scenario, immediate support lies at the 50-day EMA near $0.20, followed by the $0.14 level.

Dogecoin Derivatives Data Supports Bullish Intent

As Dogecoin stands at a crossroads due to the short-term bullish failure, the derivatives market remains optimistic. As per Coinglass data, Dogecoin’s open interest has jumped by 7.44%, with the broader market recovery pushing the total to $2.70 billion. This suggests growing trader activity in Dogecoin, further supported by a rising funding rate of 0.0081%.

DOGE Derivatives
DOGE Derivatives

This increase in open interest and funding rate reflects a rising bullish sentiment among derivatives traders who anticipate a breakout rally. Notably, options volume has surged by 60%, with open interest in options reaching $300,000.

Over the past 12 hours, Dogecoin’s recovery has triggered $2.4 million in short liquidations, while 24-hour liquidation data remains balanced. Overall, derivatives data maintain a bullish narrative, reinforcing the potential for a breakout.
