World Economic Forum Spotlights XRP Ledger in Powering $1B Private Equity Tokenization

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has recognized the XRP Ledger (XRPL) as a core technology in the global push toward asset tokenization.

In its May 2025 report titled “Asset Tokenization in Financial Markets,” the WEF highlighted a landmark development related to XRPL. Specifically, it noted that Aurum Equity Partners had launched the world’s first combined private equity and debt tokenized fund, valued at $1 billion, on the XRPL.

XRP Ledger Hosting World’s First $1B Tokenized Private Equity Fund

Notably, this tokenized fund leverages XRPL’s decentralized Layer-1 infrastructure to digitize ownership in a traditionally illiquid asset class. The initiative enables greater investor access and liquidity through global secondary markets, reducing barriers to entry and improving transparency.

Aurum Equity announced the development back in October 2024. At the time, the fund disclosed it would support the development of AI-operated, ESG-focused data centers across the U.S., UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, and Europe.

The initiative utilizes Zoniqx’s Tokenized Asset Lifecycle Management (TALM) platform and the DyCIST protocol to enable secure, compliant, and interoperable financial instruments. By leveraging XRPL’s speed, security, and low cost, the fund aims to increase liquidity and accessibility in traditionally illiquid markets.

Key benefits for investors include access to diversified, liquid, and secure investment options. Meanwhile, for institutions, it offers new revenue opportunities and improved risk management.

David Schwartz, Ripple’s CTO, commented on the collaboration, saying, “XRPL’s efficiency enables better management of tokenized private equity.”

Likewise, Venkat Bussa, CEO of Aurum, said the project represents a major step in bringing real-world assets to the blockchain.

Given this pivotal development in the global tokenization market, the WEF cited it in its latest industry report as an important effort. Notably, widely followed XRP community researcher “SMQKE” drew attention to the WEF’s comment in a recent tweet.

Ripple’s Custody Tech Gains Recognition via BitGo and Metaco

In addition to XRPL’s role, the WEF also cited Ripple’s expanding custody infrastructure as vital to the evolving tokenized economy.

Specifically, the report highlights BitGo and Metaco, the latter of which was acquired by Ripple, as key custody providers offering secure crypto asset management solutions for institutional tokenized assets.

These providers are described as essential players in safeguarding tokenized equity. They help financial institutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements while bridging the gap between traditional and decentralized financial infrastructure.

Tokenization Set to Reshape Global Markets

Meanwhile, the WEF projects the global private equity market to grow from $5.3 trillion in 2023 to $7 trillion by 2030, with 10% expected to be tokenized. XRPL’s involvement in tokenizing a $1 billion fund sets a precedent for broader adoption across other asset classes.

Indeed, in January 2025, Ripple and Ondo Finance partnered to bring the Ondo Short-Term U.S. Government Treasuries (OUSG) fund to the XRP Ledger.

Backed by BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, OUSG offers institutional investors secure, compliant, yield-bearing exposure to U.S. Treasuries on-chain.

This move follows OpenEden’s tokenized T-bill launch on XRPL in 2024 and confirms the XRPL’s growing role in institutional DeFi.

With Ripple’s infrastructure powering real-world use cases in asset tokenization and custody, XRP and XRPL are playing a foundational role in the next generation of global finance.

Angel Investor Says If This XRP Signal Appears Within Six Months, He’s Finally Ready to Buy XRP

A crypto angel investor and analyst has revealed plans to finally buy XRP, but he’s awaiting a trigger signal within the next six months.

Notably, XRP has been steadily climbing this year, gaining 12.54% since January. However, it is still finding it difficult to push past the $2.50 mark for a strong breakout.

XRP Lags as Bitcoin Hits ATHs

Unlike Bitcoin which recently reached a new all-time high of $112,000, XRP has stayed in a narrow price range. While Bitcoin claims new heights, XRP continues to move sideways, as investors anticipate what might come next.

Dennis Liu, a crypto angel investor and the host behind the VirtualBacon channel, has never owned XRP. But that may change soon. In a recent post on X, Liu explained the exact setup he’s waiting for before he buys XRP, and why he believes the next few months could be a turning point.

Liu said he’s not interested in hype or far-fetched predictions. Back in 2022, he set a realistic price target of $8 to $10 for XRP, based on its potential as a payment network. According to him, he doesn’t buy into talk of $100 prices or theories about XRP becoming a world reserve currency.

Ideal Entry Pattern for XRP

He pointed out that last December, XRP hit $2.50 after Donald Trump’s election win, then pulled back to $1.80. Liu called that area a clear sell zone. With the price now at $2.35, he’s watching for a better entry point.

Interestingly, this pattern does not come from XRP’s dollar price, but from its value compared to Bitcoin. At press time, the XRP/BTC pair is trading at 0.00002136. Liu noted that the pair has formed a rounded top and has held support around 0.000022 since November.

If that support breaks and the ratio drops another 20–23%, landing between 0.000017 and 0.000019, that’s when Liu plans to buy. Specifically, this zone, which he calls the “value zone,” is where other coins like Ethereum and Solana started major rallies in the past.

Notably, Liu sees two possible paths to get there. If Bitcoin holds steady around $100,000, XRP could slide to $1.80. Alternatively, if Bitcoin pushes higher to around $128,000 while XRP stays flat, the ratio will still drop into his target zone.

Whichever materializes, the investor confirms that he expects the dip to occur. He even suggested that a quick drop to $1.80–$1.85 could be a trap that shakes out weak hands. This would be an ideal moment to buy.

Other Fundamentals Boosting XRP Price Prospects

However, besides XRP’s price action, other fundamentals are driving his sentiment. Liu pointed to several big changes that strengthen XRP’s outlook.

According to him, the SEC lawsuit has been settled, XRP futures are now trading on the CME, a Canadian spot ETF has launched, and a U.S. ETF filing is in progress. In addition, Ripple’s RLUSD is gaining momentum. To Liu, these developments show that XRP’s fundamentals are improving quietly but steadily.

He also noted that XRP has underperformed against Bitcoin since 2017. If it can finally break that downtrend, it would mark a major change for XRP and all the older altcoins from the last cycle.

Liu described XRP as having a unique position in the crypto market. Specifically, while Ethereum leads with institutions and Solana wins with retail users, XRP still has strong name recognition and a low entry price. That makes it a likely pick when retail investors return in full force.

Essentially, he hasn’t bought in yet, but Liu is watching closely. He wants to see the XRP/BTC ratio drop into the 0.000017–0.000019 range and the XRP price dip near $1.80. If that happens in the next three to six months, he says he’ll finally make his move.

Bitcoin Eyes $115K as Trump’s Tariff Delay and ETF Inflows Spark Bullish Surge

Bitcoin reclaimed $109K amid Trump’s delays in EU tariffs and a surge in ETF inflows. A rising channel pattern and bullish derivatives point to a $115K target soon.

As Donald Trump postpones the 50% tariffs on the European Union until July 9, Bitcoin has reclaimed the $109,000 mark. The leading cryptocurrency has surged by over 1.5% in the last 24 hours, setting the stage for another record-breaking rally.

Bitcoin Price Analysis

On the 4-hour price chart, Bitcoin’s bullish trend has formed a rising channel pattern since the reversal on April 9. The uptrend now reflects a 46% increase from the $75,000 level..

COINBASE:BTCUSD Chart Image by Trojan69420

Currently trading at $109,615, Bitcoin is rebounding off the support trendline of the parallel channel. This suggests a new upward cycle within the bullish pattern, potentially targeting the upper trendline.

The MACD and its signal lines have formed a positive crossover, supporting the likelihood of a continued trend reversal. According to the pivot point indicator, Bitcoin’s immediate resistance is near $113,313, marked by the R1 resistance level.

Optimistically, a breakout toward the upper trendline could challenge the $115,000 level for a new all-time high. Conversely, a potential pullback from the previous swing high near $112,000 could lead to a retest of the central pivot line at $107,717.

BTC ETFs Record Eight Straight Days of Inflows

Adding momentum to the Bitcoin rally, institutional support in the U.S. continues to grow. U.S.-spot Bitcoin ETFs have now recorded eight consecutive days of inflows.

On May 23, the total daily net inflow reached $211.74 million, driven largely by a $430 million inflow into BlackRock’s IBIT ETF. VanEck’s Bitcoin ETF also posted inflows of $17.72 million. Specifically, BlackRock and VanEck were the only ETFs that recorded inflows last Friday.

In contrast, Fidelity, Ark, and 21Shares each recorded outflows of $73 million, while Grayscale reported outflows totaling $89 million. The remaining ETFs posted net-zero flows.

BTC Bulls Dominate Derivatives Market

With bullish momentum building, the anticipation of a new all-time high is fueling activity in the derivatives market. According to CoinGlass, open interest has risen by 3%, reaching $76.79 billion, while the funding rate has increased to 0.0078%.

Additionally, short liquidations over the past 24 hours have surged to $26 million. This data indicates strong bullish sentiment, potentially igniting a new leverage-driven rally in Bitcoin.

Ethereum Targets $3,577 as Bull Flag Forms Above 200-Day EMA

Ethereum has bounced above $2,570, forming a bullish flag pattern with a 33% upside potential. Derivatives data suggest a breakout toward $3,577.

As Bitcoin reclaims $109,000, Ethereum starts the weekend on a positive note, trading at $2,570. With a bounce off the 200-day EMA, Ethereum hints at a potential double-flat breakout that could result in a price surge of over 30%.

Ethereum Price Analysis

Ethereum continues to consolidate sideways on the daily chart between the 38.20% and 50% Fibonacci retracement levels, which are $2,395 and $2,699, respectively.

Ethereum Price Chart
Ethereum Price Chart

Following a 50% surge in early May, Ethereum has completed a bull flag pattern. The 200-day EMA aligns with the lower boundary of the flag, further supporting the bullish setup.

Additionally, growing underlying bullishness has increased the likelihood of a positive crossover between the 50-day and 100-day EMAs.

Based on the bull flag pattern and Fibonacci levels, a potential breakout could lead to a 33% rally toward $3,577. This would surpass the 78.6% Fibonacci level at $3,436, signaling strong upside potential.

Ethereum’s bounce from the 200-day EMA, marked by a long-tailed doji candle on Sunday, reflects strong investor confidence. However, short-term consolidation has reduced trend momentum, as a declining RSI trend line indicates.

As Ethereum maintains a sideways movement, the falling RSI line reveals a hidden bearish divergence. A close below the 38.20% Fibonacci level could result in a retest of the 50-day EMA at $2,213.

ETH Derivatives Anticipate Breakout Rally

Despite the consolidation, bullish sentiment in the derivatives market continues to build. According to CoinGlass data, Ethereum open interest has risen by 2.73%, reaching $32.93 billion.

A short-term pullback in the funding rate to 0.0034% suggests a minor dip in bullish momentum. However, recent 12-hour liquidations have wiped out $17.84 million in bearish positions, reinforcing a bullish environment.

Overall, CoinGlass data supports a bullish narrative, indicating an anticipated upside continuation.

Analyst Spots Ethereum Blockchain Deployment Returning to 2021 Levels

In a recent tweet, crypto analyst Ted Pillows highlighted a notable increase in development activity on the Ethereum blockchain. According to his post, daily smart contract deployments have returned to levels last seen during the 2021 bull run.

This reflects a significant uptick in builder activity on the Ethereum network, signaling stronger on-chain momentum. As on-chain activity intensifies, the increased development is likely to support a rally in ETH’s spot price.

Bitcoin Has 32 Halving Events and We Have Only Seen Four: Analyst Highlights

0

Bitcoin would grow increasingly scarce over the years as pioneers programmed the network to halve the issuance rate periodically.

The April 2024 halving saw the mining reward for Bitcoin cut in half. Formerly at 6.25 BTC per block, the automated event slashed block rewards to 3.125 BTC.

Notably, the last halving event is just the fourth since inception. Miners received 50 BTC as a reward at the genesis block, but the 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 reductions have reduced the numbers to 25 BTC, 12.5 BTC, 6.25 BTC, and now 3.125 BTC.

32 More to Come

In a recent post, a Bitcoin analyst “BitcoinTeddy,” shared that the four-year halving event is just starting. The event, which is programmed to occur approximately every 21,000 blocks, has happened just four times. As a result, there are still 32 more to come.

According to the manuscript of the pseudonymous founder Satoshi Nakamoto, the halving event aims to make Bitcoin scarce by reducing the amount issued over time. This model, coupled with the premier asset’s limitedly capped feature, further enhances its quality as a store of value.

The next Bitcoin halving event will occur in 2028, further reducing the block reward to 1.5625 BTC. Meanwhile, the subsequent five halvings are slated for 2032, 2036, 2040, 2044, and 2048, slashing rewards to 0.78125 BTC, 0.3906 BTC, 0.1953 BTC, 0.00976 BTC, and 0.0488 BTC, respectively.

Furthermore, with the four-year halving estimate, the event would continue until 2136, four years before the estimated timeline for miners to mint the last Bitcoin. An accompanying picture shows that the automatically scheduled event would continue to halve the miner reward down to 0.00000001 BTC per block.

Estimated Bitcoin Halving Schedule

Interestingly, after the next two halvings, miners would not earn up to 1 BTC again for each block. This represents an over 98% drop in mining rewards in 23 years, a model that has driven Bitcoin’s value to the moon.

Halving Impact on Bitcoin Price to Grow Weightier

At the current issuance rate, miners collectively mine just 450 BTC per day and 3,150 BTC per week, compared with approximately 7,200 BTC per day and 50,400 BTC in the genesis block. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s price has compensated for this drop, rallying from under $1 to its current six-figure valuation.

Nonetheless, institutions are embracing Bitcoin rapidly. The asset has quickly graduated from earlier claims of being a “bubble” to a matured asset class widely called “digital gold.” With large-scale adoption emerging, Bitcoin may soon experience a supply shock.

For context, over 95% of Bitcoin’s total 21 million supply has already been mined and owned by individuals and institutions. Meanwhile, nation-states and large investors are slowly waking up to the asset, with market analysts suggesting there will soon not be enough Bitcoin for interested parties.

Heavyweights like BlackRock and MicroStrategy are incessantly buying Bitcoin, further depleting the supply. For perspective, Strategy bought 7,390 BTC ($765 million) last Monday, the amount of Bitcoin miners produce in approximately 16 days (2 weeks and 2 days).

These purchases have extensively crippled Bitcoin’s supply, driving its value upward. The leading cryptocurrency is up 17% year-to-date and 276% in the past two years, driven by institutional traction and limited supply.

Nonetheless, market watchers expect this trend to continue. Standard Chartered predicted that Bitcoin would extend its price discovery to a conservative $120,000 by the end of Q2, with other predictions envisaging a surge to $250,000 by year’s end.

Shiba Inu Investors Remain Bullish Despite Bearish June 2025 Indicator: Details

0

Shiba Inu holders have remained optimistic about the prospects of SHIB despite most investors incurring losses on their holdings.

The broader crypto market is still attempting to recover from last week’s downturn, which was caused by Donald Trump’s announcement of a 50% tariff on goods imported from the EU.

SHIB Rebounds

This announcement sent shockwaves through the financial markets, plunging the prices of major assets like SHIB. Notably, Shiba Inu’s price, which soared to $0.000016 on May 23, crashed to around $0.000014 a few hours after Trump imposed a 50% tariff on EU goods.

The massive downturn continued over the weekend, with the price of SHIB slumping below the $0.000014 mark to $0.00001396 yesterday. However, SHIB’s price has rebounded and is changing hands at $0.00001460 in the hours leading up to press time.

Shiba Inu Investors Incur Losses

Despite Shiba Inu’s latest rebound, most on-chain addresses holding SHIB are in the red. IntoTheBlock data indicates that around 81.25% of Shiba Inu’s 1.44 million on-chain addresses, roughly 1.17 million wallets, are ‘out of the money,’ meaning they are currently in losses.

According to the data, these 1.17 million addresses hold a total of 800.39 trillion Shiba Inu tokens, currently valued at $11.68 billion.

It bears mentioning that the number of addresses in losses has drastically reduced from the figure recorded last month when SHIB traded around $0.000012. At the time, 87% of Shiba Inu’s on-chain addresses were reported to be at a loss.

Fresh data from IntoTheBlock indicates that only a small percentage of Shiba Inu’s holders are seeing gains on their SHIB investments.

Specifically, about 15.99% of on-chain addresses are “in the money.” These investors hold a combined 157.5 trillion SHIB tokens, valued at approximately $2.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the remaining 2.76% of holders, about 39,744 addresses, hold a total of 27.15 trillion SHIB worth $396.39 million. These investors are considered “at the money,” meaning they are neither in profit nor at a loss.

Investors Remain Bullish

Despite many investors being underwater, sentiment among Shiba Inu holders remains largely bullish.

Data from IntoTheBlock shows that 1.13 million addresses have held over 787 trillion SHIB tokens for more than a year.

About 290,630 addresses have held 174.92 trillion SHIB for one to twelve months. However, only 24,990 addresses are short-term traders holding 23.23 trillion SHIB for less than a month.

Notably, a significant portion of these SHIB tokens are currently held in Shiba Inu’s burn wallets. While Shiba Inu initially launched with a supply of 1 quadrillion tokens, over 410 trillion tokens have been sent to the burn wallet, permanently removed from circulation. This leaves Shiba Inu with a total supply of 589.5 trillion SHIB.

Massive Price Crash Looms

Meanwhile, with just a few days left before May 2025 ends, Shiba Inu’s price has already increased by 10.4% month-to-date. However, data from CryptoRank suggests that Shiba Inu might have a bearish performance next month, in June.

Since its launch, June has not been favorable to Shiba Inu, with declines of 4.75% in June 2021, 12% in June 2022, and 11.5% in June 2023. Notably, Shiba Inu also recorded another negative performance in June 2024, registering a monthly decline of 32.3%.

On average, Shiba Inu has posted a 15.1% loss in June, with a median monthly decline of 11.8%. If this trend continues, SHIB could face another double-digit decline next month.

Since past performance does not guarantee future results, Shiba Inu could overturn its June slump this year.

Analyst Identifies Shiba Inu Buy and Sell Targets Amid Key Resistance

0

An analyst on TradingView has outlined key buy and sell targets for Shiba Inu as it tests a major resistance zone.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has entered a technical pressure point after a week of moderate volatility. The price action over the past seven days included a mid-week surge that quickly retraced, resulting in a sideways consolidation from May 23 through May 26.

At press time, SHIB is priced at $0.00001469, reflecting a 0.76% gain in the last 24 hours and a 4.32% increase over the past week. However, attention has now shifted from the recent fluctuation to the breakout potential forming around long-standing resistance zones.

Breakout Strategy Identified on Daily Chart

On TradingView, analyst MBM_Crypto outlined a breakout-focused strategy using the SHIB/USDT daily chart. The setup hinges on a key resistance trendline, which has historically acted as a ceiling for upward movement.

Screenshot 2025 05 26T112615433
Shiba Inu Price Prediction

Notably, this descending trendline began forming on March 5, 2024, when SHIB hit a high of $0.000045. After falling to $0.00001086 by August 5, the token made another upward attempt in December 2024, peaking above the trendline at $0.00003344 before losing steam.

Most recently, on May 12, SHIB again approached the same trendline, reaching $0.00001734 but failing to breach it. MBM_Crypto’s chart identifies $0.0000185 as a level at which buyers should take positions.

The analysis also outlines three profit-taking targets: $0.000020, $0.0000235, and $0.000028. From its current price, SHIB would need to gain approximately 90.62% to reach the highest of these levels.

Wedge Formation and Trendline Support Underpin Bullish Setup

Meanwhile, another TradingView analyst, Lingrid, presented a wedge pattern and structural support setup that also favors upside potential. According to this analysis, SHIB is consolidating above key support at $0.00001373, near the intersection of an upward trendline and a major structure retest.

Lingrid identifies a buy zone between $0.00001350 and $0.00001373, with a breakout above the wedge acting as a trigger.

Screenshot 2025 05 26T112530050
SHIB Price Prediction

This chart setup highlights $0.00001727 as the immediate upside target, aligning with prior intraday highs. However, a sustained move below $0.00001350 would invalidate the bullish outlook, signaling a breakdown from the current consolidation pattern.

Resistance Cluster and Breakout Potential

Complementing the technical analysis, the Global In/Out of the Money chart from IntoTheBlock shows significant holder positioning near the current SHIB price.

Presently, a large concentration of addresses holding SHIB at a loss sits between $0.000015 and $0.000019. This cluster includes around 129.46k addresses managing 538.42 trillion SHIB, with an average entry of $0.000017.

Screenshot 2025 05 26T110147587
SHIB Global In/Out of the Money Chart

This zone forms a notable resistance level, yet a confirmed breakout above it could force holders to reposition, accelerating price momentum. On the downside, green bubbles on the chart indicate stronger hands sitting at lower levels. These holders, already in profit, may help absorb selling pressure if price declines resume.

Cardano Founder Says RLUSD May Join ADA But Strategy Hinges on Circle Acquisition

0

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has confirmed that discussions are ongoing between his team and the developers of Ripple USD (RLUSD), as integration efforts into the Cardano ecosystem continue.

Speaking during a recent livestream, Hoskinson addressed questions about whether RLUSD would go live on Cardano by year-end. He clarified that early talks had taken place in the previous year.

Since then, engagement has progressed, although key strategic decisions hinge on potential corporate developments surrounding Circle.

Circle Acquisition Could Alter RLUSD’s Strategy

According to Hoskinson, a major factor influencing RLUSD’s roadmap is the speculation surrounding Circle’s future. He noted that there are ongoing talks about a possible acquisition of Circle by Ripple, reportedly valued at around $11 billion.

This potential acquisition could significantly shift RLUSD’s integration plans. If RLUSD were to merge with Circle, its entire listing process and development path would need reevaluation.

XRP DeFi is Very Important

Charles Hoskinson stated that the Cardano team had offered to support the integration of RLUSD onto Cardano at no cost. He emphasized that XRP DeFi is viewed as an important area, with stablecoins playing a critical role in that ecosystem.

According to Hoskinson, the RLUSD team expressed interest in principle, but noted that several technical and strategic details would need to be addressed before moving forward.

These include determining whether RLUSD should be integrated through a layer-zero routing model, which many projects are currently exploring, or whether a direct issuance model would be more appropriate.

Hoskinson added that conversations remain ongoing to determine if an agreement can be reached, while also confirming that Cardano is evaluating additional stablecoin options for its broader ecosystem.

XRP Support Progressing Through Cardano’s Lace Wallet

In parallel with the RLUSD discussions, Cardano has taken steps to incorporate XRP into its ecosystem. As previously reported in April, crypto users would soon be able to store, send, and receive XRP through Cardano’s Lace wallet, a non-custodial Web3 interface.

This development followed a series of positive interactions between Hoskinson and the Ripple team, despite past tensions between the two communities. In a YouTube AMA session, Hoskinson confirmed that relations with Ripple had improved, and the collaboration was advancing steadily.

Bridge for Bitcoin and XRP Integration

Further collaboration between Cardano and major blockchain ecosystems was revealed during a May 9 interview between Hoskinson and eToro analyst Sam North. In this conversation, Hoskinson outlined a long-term strategy aimed at addressing limitations within the XRP Ledger and Bitcoin network.

Specifically, he pointed to the lack of advanced smart contract functionality in the XRP Ledger. Cardano’s Midnight blockchain, designed with privacy in mind, was considered as a bridge to support both Bitcoin and XRP.

According to Hoskinson, this form of technical support would not only help those ecosystems but also potentially increase Cardano’s total value locked (TVL), projecting a scale beyond that of Solana and Ethereum combined.

XRP Ledger vs Chainlink: Messari Report Highlights Which Is Driving Greater Institutional Adoption

0

A recent report has compared the XRP Ledger to Chainlink, highlighting their similarities, differences, and institutional adoption trajectory.

Prominent crypto research firm Messari painted this picture in a recent piece published on May 25. The report dissected the XRP Ledger and Chainlink’s blockchain, highlighting their technological niches and which is best suited for institutional adoption.

XRP Ledger vs Chainlink

According to the reports, the XRP Ledger is a decentralized public blockchain designed by Ripple Labs to drive a fast, cost-effective, and efficient cross-border settlement system. It leverages distributed ledger technology to facilitate payments, decentralized exchange (DEX) operations, and real-world asset tokenization.

Meanwhile, Chainlink is an Ethereum layer-2 network that provides decentralized oracles and cross-chain products (CCIP). The protocol offers data feeds such as prices and weather for smart contracts, ensuring blockchains can access external data and systems.

XRP Ledger’s native token, XRP, ranks fourth on the crypto market cap standings with a valuation of $137 billion and a circulating supply of 58.6 billion. Chainlink’s LINK ranks 13th with a cap of $10 billion and a supply of 657 billion tokens.

Target Users

The XRPL architects built the network for blockchain-based payment solutions. The network targets large financial institutions, simplifying cross-border payments and settlement while allowing other features like tokenization.

Moreover, XRPL developers are expanding the network’s technology to adapt to decentralized finance (DeFi), with planned upgrades to introduce lending and native yield-bearing functionalities for users. RippleX has also teased Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility with the imminent launch of an EVM sidechain.

Meanwhile, Chainlink’s data supply business targets DeFi, CeFi, and platforms that need real-time data. Although it does not have native smart contract capabilities, its infrastructure is crucial for smart contract functionalities on other blockchains. Furthermore, Chainlink provides the foundation for institutional use cases in real-world asset tokenization.

Institutional Traction

The XRP Ledger’s focus on payment is gaining traction among prominent institutions. Ripple, a core contributor to the network, has partnered with multiple central banks and large financial institutions globally to offer a wide range of services, including efficient cross-border payment and CBDC platforms.

Recently, Ripple partnered with South Korea’s BDACS to offer institution-grade custody services for XRP and RLUSD. Last year, the firm collaborated with Clear Junction to boost cross-border payments in GBP and Euro.

Meanwhile, Chainlink’s CCIP has also seen notable institutional traction. Large firms like BNY Mellon, Citibank, and Euroclear have adopted the data infrastructure. SWIFT has also partnered with Chainlink to enhance cross-chain tokenized asset transfer.

Chainlink Collaboration With XRP Ripple

Ripple recently integrated Chainlink’s infrastructure to boost the adoption of the RLUSD stablecoin. The partnership saw the cross-border payment giant tap Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network for real-time price feeds for RLUSD on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.

While both chains play different roles in the crypto landscape, Messari noted that the recent collaboration signifies that the future of blockchain technology does not hinge on competition but on strategic partnerships.

XRP Ledger to Power Dubai’s Groundbreaking Real Estate Tokenization Project

0

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has selected the XRP Ledger (XRPL) as the blockchain infrastructure for its inaugural Real Estate Tokenization Project.

Ctrl Alt, a financial engineering and digital asset infrastructure provider, announced the initiative in a press release. It confirmed its official launch in partnership with the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, the Dubai Future Foundation, and the real estate platform Prypco.

Regulatory-Aligned Framework Built for Tokenized Real Estate

The project introduces a new framework for real estate investment, enabling tokenized property title deeds through a public blockchain. Ctrl Alt, selected as the tokenization partner, developed the infrastructure in direct coordination with the DLD.

This framework ensures synchronization between traditional and digital property ledgers, aligning with Dubai’s existing registration systems. By establishing a compliant environment for tokenization, the project meets regulatory standards while modernizing the process of property ownership and transfer.

Meanwhile, the Real Estate Evolution Space Initiative has overseen the development of this pilot. Per the release, this marks the first time a government property registration authority in the Middle East has adopted a public blockchain for title deed tokenization.

With the inclusion of XRPL, known for its long-standing reliability in tokenizing and transferring assets, the project introduces a stable technological base for this transition.

Fractional Ownership Now Available

To expand access to real estate investment, the PRYPCO Mint platform now offers fractional ownership. Investors can purchase tokenized shares in property starting from AED 2,000.

Currently, the platform is available to UAE EID holders. This approach lowers entry barriers and enables multiple investors to co-own a single real estate asset.

Tokenization Market Expected to Reach AED 60 Billion

As detailed in the release, the real estate tokenization initiative is expected to support the formation of an AED 60 billion ($16 billion) tokenized property market in Dubai by 2033. This projection equals roughly 7% of the emirate’s total property transactions.

Matt Ong, CEO and Founder of Ctrl Alt, confirmed that the company worked closely with the DLD in developing the secure tokenization infrastructure, which now serves as the backbone of this pilot phase. Ripple also acknowledged this milestone by posting on the X platform.
