Expert Says When Banks Start Using XRP, We’ll See Insane Prices Like $500 to $1,000 Per Coin

BarriC, a prominent voice in the XRP community, has boldly claimed that banks and financial institutions have not yet fully adopted XRP.

He bases this belief on XRP’s relatively low price, as the coin continues to trade around $2. According to BarriC, a significant indicator of widespread bank adoption would be a much higher price point.

Current Prices Reflect a Pre-Adoption Phase

He asserted that the price of XRP could soar into the hundreds or even thousands of dollars once global banks begin actively utilizing the digital asset. BarriC suggested that the value of XRP could reach levels such as $100, $500, or even $1,000 per coin once banks begin adopting it.

The analyst believes XRP’s current price of around $2 is evidence that widespread institutional adoption has yet to occur. As a result, he emphasized that this is a rare opportunity to accumulate the coin at low prices before its full utility through adoption by financial institutions.

“No More Cheap XRP Ever Again”

The community commentator believes that once global financial institutions fully integrate XRP into their payment infrastructure, particularly through Ripple’s payment solution, the asset’s price will experience exponential growth. He boldly claimed that XRP could skyrocket past $100 once this occurs and even reach $500 or $1,000 per coin.

He concluded the post with a warning to current investors and skeptics: there will be “no more cheap XRP ever again.”

This latest prediction aligns with BarriC’s history of ambitious calls to accumulate XRP while it remains “cheap.” He previously argued that, in the future, $500 per coin may be considered a bargain.

Indeed, such predictions have energized many XRP holders. However, critics caution that price projections in the hundreds would require a market capitalization that surpasses major tech giants like Apple and Google. Consequently, they dismiss such outlooks as far-fetched.

Clarification on XRP, Bank Use, and Price Movements

Meanwhile, the claim that XRP’s low price is due to banks not using it remains speculative. Proponents of this view often argue that a price in the $100 to $1,000 range is necessary to provide the liquidity needed for trillion-dollar transactions.

However, Ripple has clarified that its payment software does not directly influence the price of XRP, either bearishly or bullishly.

Additionally, analysts have noted that the current liquidity available through XRP is insufficient to process trillion-dollar transactions. In essence, XRP’s price will not magically soar into triple digits solely for this purpose.

Moreover, a number of financial institutions already use Ripple’s payment network. Specific examples include Tranglo and SBI Japan. It is worth noting, however, that while XRP is integrated into Ripple Payments, it is not a mandatory component.

Essentially, banks can use Ripple’s product without necessarily utilizing the XRP token. Indeed, some could prefer using a stablecoin like RLUSD.

Nonetheless, despite these facts, many XRP supporters remain optimistic that bank adoption could eventually drive XRP to astronomical prices.

Bitcoin Drops Below $95K as Analysts Eye $92K Before FOMC

Bitcoin is struggling to hold the $94K support level as market sentiment weakens ahead of the upcoming Fed rate decision. Is $92K the next stop?

As the crypto market fails to sustain a valuation above $3 trillion, Bitcoin has experienced a pullback. Over the weekend, its price dropped from $96,926 to $94,162, a 3% decline.

Currently, Bitcoin is holding above the $94,000 mark, trading at $94,335, following a rebound from a 24-hour low of $93,550.

This lower price rejection reflects bullish efforts to defend recently reclaimed levels. However, sell signals against Bitcoin are mounting. Could this lead to a deeper pullback toward the $90,000 level?

Bitcoin Price Analysis Signals Potential Drop to $90K

On the daily chart, Bitcoin’s price trend shows a bullish recovery in April, reaching the 78.60% Fibonacci level near $95,000. During this rally, Bitcoin hit a 7-day high of $97,938.

Bitcoin Price Chart

However, due to strong price rejection at higher levels, Bitcoin has fallen back below the 78.60% Fibonacci level. This indicates a failure to maintain bullish momentum and a sudden shift in market sentiment.

Despite this, the recent uptrend triggered a positive crossover in the 50- and 100-day EMA lines. Still, the ongoing pullback now signals a possible negative crossover in the MACD and signal lines.

Such a crossover would confirm a sell signal, suggesting a deeper correction. The next key support level lies at the 50-day EMA, near $89,500.

Conversely, if the recovery continues, the $106,000 supply zone remains a potential upside target.

Analysts Warn of Potential BTC Price Drop to $92k

As Bitcoin hovers near $94,000, some analysts are anticipating a deeper correction. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez points to a possible drop to $92,000, citing a rising channel pattern visible on the 4-hour chart. A crucial support level remains near the $94,000 mark.

Similarly, analyst Michael van de Poppe also predicts a steeper correction. He warns of a potential drop in Bitcoin’s price ahead of the FOMC meeting.

The upcoming FOMC meeting, scheduled for May 7, will address interest rate decisions. With volatility rising ahead of the event, Bitcoin may retest the entry zone between $91,500 and $92,500.

Bullish Traders Brace Against Correction Threat

Despite growing concerns over a steep correction, derivative traders remain bullish. Data from CoinGlass shows a spike in the BTC long-to-short ratio over the past four hours.

Long positions now account for 52.93% of open interest, pushing the long-to-short ratio to 1.12. With bulls currently dominating the short-term market, Bitcoin may be able to withstand upcoming volatility and extend its recovery.

Analyst Shares Best Exit Strategy When XRP Reaches $10, $15 and $30

An XRP community commentator recently shared what he believes is a good exit strategy for XRP holders when the price hits certain price targets.

Despite XRP’s recent range-bound movement, with prices hovering around $2.20 for the past few weeks, optimism remains strong. This optimism largely comes from bullish forecasts made by prominent analysts, each predicting massive growth for the asset.

XRP Price Predictions

For instance, last month, Bitget’s Chief Analyst Ryan Lee projected that XRP could climb to $10 by the year 2030. However, on a more aggressive timeline, crypto market analyst XForceGlobal suggested that the $10 target might materialize sooner, possibly within the current market cycle.

Meanwhile, another market commentator, known as “The Modern Investor,” recently noted that he expects XRP to hit $15. Also, analyst Steph predicted a surge to $30, citing the formation of a double bottom pattern, a structure that typically indicates a potential bullish reversal.

While these forecasts have triggered renewed interest in XRP, there might be a new challenge. Many investors may find themselves unprepared to act when prices spike, leading to missed profit-taking opportunities or impulsive decisions.

Investors Need a Good Exit Strategy

As a result, an XRP community figure known as “XRP Investing” recently sought to address this challenge. Specifically, he shared a staged exit strategy that could help holders make informed decisions as XRP approaches its price milestones.

In his model, XRP Investing noted that investors should have a predefined game plan. He argued that emotions can cloud judgment when the market enters a euphoric phase. Without clear guidelines on when and how much to sell, investors risk either holding for too long and missing the top or selling prematurely and limiting gains.

To guide investors, XRP Investing provided a simulated exit strategy using a $10,000 initial investment at the $2.20 mark, which equates to 4,545 XRP.

XRP Exit Strategy

Notably, in the first stage, if XRP reaches between $3.50 and $4.00, he advises selling 20% of holdings. This move could yield a profit margin between 60% and 80%, close to historical resistance. According to him, this stage might come due to regulatory breakthroughs or speculation surrounding XRP ETFs.

The second stage targets the $5.00 to $6.00 range, where he suggests selling another 25%. This level could align with bullish projections for 2025 and might coincide with institutional adoption or the approval of XRP-based ETFs.

Meanwhile, the third stage proposes a 30% sell-off when XRP hits between $10.00 and $12.00, with expected returns ranging from 350% to 440%, possibly driven by mass adoption and hype. At this point, volatility could surge, and he recommends securing profits and reducing risk exposure.

The final stage covers speculative highs above $20.00, where investors could sell the remaining 15% to 20% of their holdings. At this level, potential gains may exceed 800%, especially if XRP cements its role as a leading cross-border payment solution. Funds taken out at this point could be redirected into fiat currencies, physical assets, or long-term investment vehicles.

According to his plan, Stage 1 could bring in $3,636 in profits, while Stage 2 yields $6,248. Meanwhile, Stages 3 and 4 would produce respective yields of $14,993 and $13,640. In total, XRP Investing pointed out that following this plan could realize $38,500 in profits, with 455 XRP retained for further upside potential.

Nonetheless, he stressed that this strategy is merely a guide. Instead, he encouraged investors to customize their approach based on individual goals and risk profiles.

XRP Whales Break Records, as Over 300K Wallets Now Hold 10K+ XRP

Despite the slow XRP price movements, whales continue to enter the ecosystem, accumulating more tokens ahead of a potential breakout.

Recent data from analytics platform Glassnode reveals that the number of wallets holding 10,000 XRP tokens or more has reached an all-time high. Specifically, addresses with 10K+ tokens have now surpassed 300,000.

Market commentators interpret this development as growing confidence in XRP among whales, who are accumulating the coin while its price remains relatively low. Notably, with XRP trading at $2.17, purchasing 10,000 tokens costs $21,700, a sum that is out of reach for some retail investors.

XRP Price Versus Whale Accumulation

The chart highlighting the surge in wallets holding over 10K XRP shows a notable divergence from XRP’s price movement. From November 2024 onward, the rising price of XRP coincided with a similar increase in wallets accumulating 10K+ XRP.

By January 2025, XRP reached the peak of its rally, with the price surpassing $3. Since then, a retracement has occurred, with XRP occasionally dipping below $2. Nonetheless, its price has mostly remained above $2.

However, the number of holders with 10K XRP has not declined. Instead, it has continued to trend upward despite the discouraging price performance over the past three months.

Image

According to crypto educator Henry, who shared this chart on X, the uptick in the number of these XRP holders implies that big players are positioning themselves for XRP’s potential breakout. This contrasts with the panic and anxiety observed among retail investors.

Notably, additional data from analytics platform Santiment further confirms the accumulation trend in the XRP ecosystem. Specifically, whales acquired over 900 million XRP in the last 30 days—worth more than $1.8 billion.

These whales hold between 10 million and 100 million XRP. Their continued accumulation, despite the recent bearish price action, shows their confidence in XRP’s future performance.

How Retail Investors Compare to Whales in XRP Holdings

Interestingly, wallets holding 10,000 XRP or more are among the wealthiest XRP investors. According to data from the XRP Rich List, holding just 8,913 XRP places one in the top 5% of all XRP holders. For context, only 322,104 wallets hold this amount or more.

Meanwhile, wallets with 11,150 XRP tokens are in the top 4%, with just 257,683 addresses in this tier. In contrast, the vast majority of the 6.442 million XRP wallets—specifically 5.22 million—hold just 500 XRP or fewer.

Where Is XRP’s Price Headed?

Although XRP’s current price does not yet reflect the ongoing whale accumulation, some believe the impact may soon become visible. According to analyst Ali Martinez, XRP may be preparing for a short-term breakout to $2.90. He cited a bullish inverse head-and-shoulders pattern as the basis for his outlook.

Meanwhile, analyst Jason has suggested that XRP could target $5 before the end of the month. Over the longer term, other analysts have predicted potential price targets ranging from $10 to as high as $40.

Expert Highlights 3 Major Factors XRP Use Cases Are Changing Because of Stablecoins

0

Popular XRP community figure Eri claims that XRP’s use case has evolved beyond its niche role for cross-border settlement into a multi-dimensional asset.

Yesterday, Eri took to X to assert that the number of top XRP influencers who only focus on Ripple initiatives without commenting on XRP finance is reducing drastically.

According to her, most XRP holders now know that the token’s use case has changed due to new technologies, stablecoins, and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). As expected, Eri’s assertions elicited mixed reactions, with some community members suggesting that the claims were false.

How XRP’s Utility Is Changing

In response, Eri reiterated that XRP’s use case has changed significantly from its initial payment utility. Before, XRP was promoted as a token that facilitates low-cost and fast cross-border payments.

However, Eri believes this has changed with the inception of new technological solutions. In her recent X post, Eri asserted that XRP’s functionality has evolved in three major ways.

Gas Fee Functionality on EVM Sidechains

First, the prominent community figure indicated that Wrapped XRP (wXRP) currently serves as a gas fee token on EVM sidechains. For context, wXRP is a token that mirrors the performance of XRP. Given its design, wXRP can be used for gas fee payments on other blockchains, particularly EVM sidechains.

Eri’s statement indicates that as users leverage ETH to pay transaction fees on Ethereum, wXRP can also function as a gas fee token on new EVM-compatible sidechains.

RLUSD Drives XRP Appeal Among Institutions

Second, the influencer asserted that stablecoins like Ripple USD (RLUSD) have broadened XRP’s appeal among institutional and DeFi users. RLUSD, which launched last year, provides a compliant and stable way for institutions seeking to move value across borders through Ripple’s payment network.

Since Ripple’s payment technology operates on XRP’s underlying blockchain, XRPL, XRP is required to cover these transaction costs. More institutions adopting RLUSD for cross-border settlements would indirectly boost demand for XRP through fee usage.

Native Yield Generating Function

Finally, Eri disclosed that new technologies now allow investors to earn yield on their XRP holdings without transferring the asset from XRPL to another blockchain.

Specifically, she highlighted MoreMarkets as a DeFi protocol seeking to generate yields for users’ idle XRP holdings. The protocol, which is expected to launch this month, would allow users to earn yields on their XRP stakes without the token leaving the blockchain.

Overall, Eri believes that XRP, which was originally pitched as a token for fast and low-cost settlement, has evolved into a multi-dimensional asset due to stablecoins, new technology, and gas fee capabilities on EVM sidechains.

Donald Trump Says He Wants Crypto, Insists It Is Harder Than Most Other Assets

0

President Donald Trump has again advocated for the crypto industry, recently pointing out the resilience from Bitcoin and crypto in the latest market turbulence.

He spoke in an exclusive interview with NBC News on Sunday about his strategies as the 47th US president, but did not fail to mention crypto, his newfound interest. Trump said he wants crypto in America, highlighting the sector’s growing global relevance.

I Want Crypto: Trump

The pro-crypto president stated that crypto is essential for the United States and that the country risks losing innovation to China if it does not step up. Trump noted that the sector is nascent yet has garnered considerable traction.

Notably, Trump took to lobbying the crypto industry before the November election, gaining not just their votes but their financial support. According to his latest comments, “hundreds of millions of people” are dabbling with the nascent industry. Yet, he accused the former administration of a late pretense to buy votes from the growing population of crypto faithful.

Furthermore, Trump stressed that despite its nascent nature, the sector is growing harder than most other aspects of the market. He emphasized that Bitcoin showed more resilience than other sectors, like US stocks, during the latest market turbulence.

Recall that the crypto market initially maintained a correlation with risk-on assets during the tariff trade war but decoupled later on. Bitcoin has recovered more than US stocks, establishing its resilience and value as a hedge against uncertainties.

Not Profiting from Crypto Support: Trump

Meanwhile, he received questions on if he is cashing in big with his support for the sector, Trump insisted crypto is not his cash cow. The pro-Bitcoin president noted that he has been in favor of cryptocurrencies long before the November elections.

He questioned whether owning a stock that performs well because he improved the US economy as the president means he is gaining. According to Trump, he has not even looked at his crypto portfolio to ascertain its profitability.

Remarkably, Trump and his family have been in the spotlight for their increased exposure to the crypto sector. The president’s TRUMP token launch has been a point of criticism, with the backlash citing a conflict of interest.

Additionally, the Trump family’s World Liberty Financials (WLFI) business ventures, among other things, have also sparked speculation that he may be breaking ethics. Nonetheless, Trump seems resolute on his ploy to make America the crypto capital of the world.

Expert Says Ripple’s Acquisition of Circle Will Drive XRP Evolution in Global Finance

0

Top XRP commentator ‘All Things XRP’ suggests that Ripple’s potential acquisition of Circle will significantly drive XRP’s evolution in global finance.

Reports of Ripple’s attempt to acquire USDC issuer Circle have been a major topic of discussion within the crypto community. According to reports, Circle rejected Ripple’s $5 billion acquisition offer because it was low.

Subsequent reports indicate that Ripple increased the offer to $20 billion. However, many experts refuted this claim, noting that the $20 billion offer surpasses Circle’s valuation by a huge margin.

Impact of Circle Acquisition on XRP

While Ripple and Circle have not confirmed the reports, All Things XRP disclosed how the deal would benefit XRP if it goes through. The commentator suggested that if Ripple successfully acquires Circle, XRP’s price will not just react but evolve.

Capture Wall Street Attention

According to the expert, Ripple already leverages XRP to move value at lightning speed via RippleNet. The expert suggested that adding Circle’s $61 billion USDC liquidity to RippleNet would make it impossible for legacy banks to ignore XRP.

In addition, the commentator emphasized that if Ripple completes the deal, it could inherit Circle’s banking partnerships and regulatory trust. They asserted that this type of trust would give XRP legitimacy, potentially attracting Wall Street’s attention.

Connecting Tissue in Value Transfer

Further, All Things XRP asserted that if Ripple completes the Circle deal, it will control two major stablecoins–RLUSD and USDC. The expert indicated that XRP would be the connective tissue between the stablecoins.

Also, All Things XRP speculated that Ripple could integrate USDC into RippleNet, which, in turn, would boost speed, reduce costs, and reinforce XRP’s role as an essential asset in facilitating value transfers.

Moreover, the expert noted that while Ripple’s next step toward the acquisition remains uncertain, they emphasized that the company wants to control stablecoin liquidity. This control, according to All Things XRP, would significantly impact XRP’s role in global finance.

Per All Things XRP, Ripple’s decision to pursue the acquisition of Circle shortly after buying leading brokerage firm Hidden Road is part of a consolidation effort, which would be powered by XRP.

Bullish Scenarios for XRP

Once the deal is finalized, the expert speculates that XRP will evolve from a bridge asset to a core infrastructure. They expect XRP to be integral in cross-border, cross-industry, and cross-asset payments, potentially changing its demand profile forever.

However, All Things XRP suggested that Ripple might increase its offer if the deal fails and put more pressure on Circle.

“Either way, the playbook is clear. Ripple’s vision remains to dominate payments, own stablecoin rails, and make XRP the default bridge,” the expert remarked.

Here’s How High Shiba Inu Could Rise if Elon Musk Starts Promoting SHIB Like Dogecoin

Shiba Inu could cancel two zeros if Elon Musk promotes it like Dogecoin, based on historical data on DOGE performance.

Shiba Inu and Dogecoin have a rich history of extraordinary price surges due to various factors that supported their movement. Meanwhile, some consider Shiba Inu the best-performing crypto asset of 2020/2021, as it experienced an astounding 150,000,000% price increase.

Dogecoin also saw fantastic price movement during that cycle. Notably, its performance was mainly attributed to its historic endorsement from Elon Musk at the time. Unlike DOGE, Shiba Inu’s impressive growth was primarily due to community support and market hype.

With Dogecoin having benefited from the support of the richest man in the world, questions now arise as to how SHIB might perform if it received similar promotion from Elon Musk as DOGE did.

Dogecoin Historic Price Movements Amid Elon Musk’s Promotion

Elon Musk first mentioned “DOGE” in a tweet on July 18, 2020. It was in response to a follower’s query about Bitcoin, to which Musk replied, “I only sell DOGE.” On that day, Dogecoin was trading at $0.003031 and surged 24% to $0.003753 the next day following the mention. At the time, Shiba Inu had not yet been created.

DOGE later dipped to $0.002400 in the following months. However, Musk mentioned DOGE again in a tweet on November 17, 2020. Dogecoin’s price rose from $0.002886 that day to $0.003800 before the end of the month. The surge continued into the following month, with DOGE breaking past the $0.0040 level.

On December 20, 2020, Musk made a more pronounced statement by tweeting, “One word: DOGE,” in a standalone post, not as a reply. This tweet had a greater impact, pushing Dogecoin from $0.0038 to $0.0054 the next day, a 55.4% gain in a single day.

From that point forward, Dogecoin experienced a consistent uptrend, reaching the $0.01 region in January 2021 as the crypto community increasingly took notice of Elon’s promotion.

A more significant boost occurred on February 4, 2021, when Musk posted an image depicting a moonshot with the caption “DOGE.” This marked the beginning of Dogecoin’s historic rally. Musk’s promotion of DOGE intensified that month with multiple tweets.

DOGE Gained 24,235% Amid Musk’s Support

Dogecoin surged from $0.0311 in February 2021 to an all-time high of $0.7376 by May that year, a 2,271% increase in just three months. Notably, the Tesla Shop began accepting DOGE as payment during this period.

Considering DOGE’s price of $0.003031 at the time of Musk’s first mention to its peak, it experienced a staggering 24,235% increase, all within a single year.

What if Elon Musk Starts Promoting Shiba Inu Like He Did DOGE?

This leads to a speculative question: What if Elon Musk promotes Shiba Inu like he did Dogecoin? While this remains speculative and uncertain, we can estimate the potential outcome if SHIB were to experience comparable growth to DOGE’s 24,235%.

Applying a 24,235% increase to SHIB’s current price of $0.00001322 would result in a price of approximately $0.003217. This effectively eliminates two zeros for SHIB’s price, just as Dogecoin did due to Musk’s influence.

However, the idea of Musk promoting SHIB is purely speculative and unlikely. Musk has shown a stronger preference for Dogecoin over other crypto assets.

Moreover, Shiba Inu may have indirectly benefited from Musk’s promotion of DOGE in 2020/2021. While Dogecoin soared from July 2020 to May 2021, Shiba Inu also saw significant growth starting in January 2021.

SHIB’s momentum extended until October 2021, when it reached its peak of $0.00008845. Considering its low-to-peak performance that season, SHIB arguably even outperformed DOGE during that period.

Here’s How Much Needed to be Atop the XRP Rich List, Analyst Insists 99% Will Not Make It

An XRP community analyst shares how much investors need to be among the top 10 XRP Rich list, suggesting most individuals will not make it.

The commentary comes as XRP faces bearish pressure, struggling to maintain momentum above the $2.2 level. Since late April, the asset has remained bound within this price range, despite experiencing brief surges and dips. Currently, XRP is trading at $2.21 as market uncertainty grows.

Amid this price stagnation, investor sentiment has grown cautious. However, industry figures like Edoardo Farina, Head of Social Adoption at XRPHealthcare, view this period as an attractive accumulation phase.

Farina has continued to stress XRP’s long-term potential, pointing out that the current lull in price presents an opportunity for investors to accumulate tokens before the next major uptrend.

As part of this campaign, he recently reviewed the XRP Rich List, an unofficial leaderboard of wallet holders ranked by XRP holdings. His analysis revealed that the total number of XRP wallets has reached 6.4 million.

The XRP Rich List

Despite this figure, he warned that wallet count does not equate to individual holders. Many users, including himself, own multiple wallets for various purposes, such as trading, self-custody, and diversification.

According to Farina, most of these wallets are either inactive, custodial, or contain negligible amounts of XRP. In fact, he referenced estimations indicating that roughly 60% to 70% of wallets on the XRP rich list could fall into these categories, leaving only about 30% to 40% as active, self-custody holdings.

Farina stated that AI analysis, such as estimations from ChatGPT, suggests that the real number of XRP holders might lie between 1.5 and 2 million. He believes the actual count is closer to one million.

This incredibly low number, when compared to the global population, shows the exclusivity involved in XRP market participation. According to these estimates, less than 0.025% of the world’s population holds any XRP. Farina believes this indicates how early most investors still are.

Meanwhile, citing on-chain data, Farina pointed out that to secure a rank among the top 10% of XRP wallets, an individual would need to hold about 2,500 XRP. At current market prices, this equates to an investment of roughly $5,000.

XRP Rich List
XRP Rich List

Notably, this threshold is rather low for such an exclusive group, presenting an opportunity for those who look to leverage it early enough. “You need about 2,500 XRP and you would be among the top 10% XRP holders, the top 10% wallets. And that’s insane,” Farina said.

“99% Will Not Make It”

He also discussed a misconception that XRP’s rise will result in widespread wealth, as he believes only a small group of holders would continue to hold XRP when it reaches its full potential. As a result, he dismissed the idea that governments or elites would be concerned about a small group of investors becoming wealthy.

“Do you really think the government or the elites or the ones in control running the system really care that a tiny amount of holders are going to make $250,000? Hell no,” Farina stated.

Speaking further, he argued that very few people will have the patience or conviction to hold XRP through its entire growth curve. Most will likely sell during incremental price milestones such as $10, $30, or $100.

Farina suggested that only around 10% of current holders might remain invested by the time XRP reaches a potential $1,000 valuation. While some have touted this goal, others still believe it is largely impossible amid the current market conditions.

Farina noted that those who seek to enter the XRP rich list can do so with minimal amounts now. While the opportunity still exists, he warned that 99% of people won’t reach the finish line. He argued that investors must have a long-term vision if they hope to truly benefit from XRP’s potential future.

Here is the Only Way Other Than Shiba Inu Burns For SHIB to Reach $0.01

0

While aggressive SHIB burns are often seen as the only way for Shiba Inu to reach $0.01, SHIB could still hit that milestone through other means.

Like most crypto assets, Shiba Inu’s performance has been below expectations. Given the positive developments in the market, most Shiba Inu community members expect the token to be trading at higher levels compared to the current price.

In particular, the United States government, under Donald Trump’s leadership, has been supportive of crypto. The government is making efforts to establish fair and clear regulations for the industry. As part of this effort, the SEC recently declared that meme coins like Shiba Inu are not securities.

Despite this, Shiba Inu has continued to underperform. At the current price of $0.00001327, it is down 10.28% in the past week and has fallen by 60.13% from its December 8 peak of $0.00003329.

Is Burns the Only Way for SHIB to Hit $0.01?

Nonetheless, some Shiba Inu enthusiasts have remained optimistic about SHIB’s prospects, particularly its potential surge to the $0.01 target.

For context, reaching the $0.01 target requires Shiba Inu to rise by 75,257% from the current price of $0.00001327. If this happens, Shiba Inu would have a market cap of $5.89 trillion, assuming its supply of 589.5 trillion tokens remains constant.

The $0.01 prediction has gained popularity within the Shiba Inu community, with members deliberating whether SHIB could ever achieve the milestone.

While Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, believes SHIB’s potential surge to the $0.01 target is more likely to happen, critics emphasize that the prediction is unrealistic. These critics think that Shiba Inu could only reach the $0.01 target if it experiences an aggressive burn that would drastically reduce its supply by a huge margin.

Another Path to $0.01

However, some users believe that SHIB’s price could reach the ambitious target if it stays closely correlated with Bitcoin and the premier asset’s value spikes tremendously.

According to data from IntoTheBlock, Shiba Inu’s correlation with Bitcoin stands at 92% over the past 30 days at the time of publication.

Shiba Inu correlation with Bitcoin
Shiba Inu correlation with Bitcoin

This indicates that Shiba Inu’s value would spike massively whenever the price of Bitcoin soars, and vice versa. Notably, Shiba Inu has a history of outperforming Bitcoin. Therefore, a little surge in Bitcoin’s price could translate to a heavy increase for Shiba Inu, potentially paving the way for SHIB’s surge to the ambitious $0.01 target.

Bitcoin to Still Maintain Dominance

This analysis assumes that Shiba Inu’s potential rise to $0.01 would not stop Bitcoin from being the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market cap. As mentioned earlier, Shiba Inu is expected to have a market cap of $5.89 trillion if its price rises to $0.01.

Notably, Bitcoin can only maintain its dominance in the crypto market if its market cap exceeds the $5.89 trillion mark. For instance, at a market cap of $5.89 trillion, each Bitcoin would be worth $296,585, assuming BTC maintains its circulating supply of approximately 19.86 million coins.

Bitcoin could further solidify its dominance in the crypto market if its valuation doubles that of Shiba Inu when SHIB rises to $0.01. Doubling SHIB’s $5.89 trillion market cap would hypothetically put Bitcoin’s valuation at $11.78 trillion.

At this valuation, Bitcoin would trade at $593,171 per coin, representing an increase of 516% from the current price of $96,265.

Despite how enticing this analysis seems, there is no guarantee that Shiba Inu would ever clinch a target price of $0.01 even when Bitcoin’s price increases. Therefore, investors must exercise caution and conduct due diligence before investing in cryptocurrencies.
