What Does Real Thought Leadership Look Like In The Web3 Space?

0

By now, you’ve probably heard the term “thought leadership” being thrown around at conferences, on Twitter, and in many of a founder’s LinkedIn profile. In the Web3 space, in particular, it has become particularly buzzy to such an extent that everyone wants to be seen as a visionary and a trailblazer.

But here’s the thing: actual thought leadership is rare.

After all, not everyone can excel at the top of the game and lead with innovation simultaneously. So, what exactly separates genuine Web3 thought leaders from the crowd of self-proclaimed experts and influencers? Let’s peel back the layers.

Beyond the Hype Machine

The cryptocurrency space has an image problem, primarily due to its inherent association with hype and speculation. Four or five years ago, being a thought leader in the space was all about riding the hype trends and viewing it as a numbers game. But thought leadership in Web3 isn’t about having the most followers, speaking at every conference, or your ability to rile up followers with FOMO.

It’s about consistently contributing valuable ideas that shift perspectives, form narratives, and push the entire industry forward.

Think about the voices you genuinely respect in the space (or in any other industry you participate in). They’re not just mimicking and repeating what everyone else is saying or creating content for the sake of it. They’re asking difficult questions, challenging assumptions, and sometimes taking unpopular or even controversial positions based on deeper analysis and their genuine convictions.

When Vitalik Buterin writes about scaling solutions or governance challenges with Ethereum, people pay attention because he combines his technical expertise with philosophical clarity. That’s authentic thought leadership in action, offering insights that others can’t easily replicate.

Starting Your Thought Leadership Journey

If you run your own Web3 business, you might be reading this thinking, “That sounds great, but how do I actually become a thought leader in such a crowded space?” Good question.

First, the most crucial step is to find your specific angle. Despite its relative newness, the Web3 ecosystem is vast, encompassing DeFi, DAOs, NFTs, and layer-2 solutions. While you may have an opinion or even expertise in each of these areas, the truth is that you can’t be an authority on everything, nor should you try. Focus on a niche where you have genuine expertise, experience, and interest.

For example, if you’ve built multiple DAOs, you might focus on governance innovations. If you’ve been deep in crypto security, your insights on protecting digital assets will carry more weight with those relevant audiences.

Working With a Web3 PR Agency

Before you go it alone, it’s essential to realize that many of the emerging and established thought leaders you see finding success online are the ones who bring in expert help to amplify their voice and curate effective messaging.

A web3 PR agency will not only help you create high-quality thought leadership campaigns, but it will also help position your authentic insights for maximum impact.

The right partner will understand the technical nuances of your project and the insights you bring, while finding ways to leverage blockchain PR to enable you to interact and engage with diverse audiences. They’ll know which publications reach your desired audience and how to frame your ideas to resonate with them.

Just remember, this isn’t about creating hype and flashy one-time marketing campaigns. True crypto public relations is about strategically amplifying your genuine expertise (or the value of your crypto project), not creating a fake persona to buy some cheap followers.

Consistency Trumps Virality

If you write one viral tweet and manage to catch a wave reaching millions of views, that alone doesn’t make you a thought leader. Consistent, thoughtful commentary over a long period is what does.

To maximize the impact of your thought leadership efforts, establish a consistent schedule for sharing your ideas, whether through a newsletter, podcast, or thoughtful LinkedIn posts. In general, the medium you use matters less than the substance and regularity of your contributions.

Many successful thought leaders, both in Web3 and beyond, started small by sharing their learning journey openly. They documented their experiments, analyzed failures, and celebrated the breakthroughs they made. This authentic approach resonates much more than polished marketing.

Communicating Complex Ideas Clearly

The Web3 and blockchain space is technical. The best thought leaders are those who have a knack for translating complex concepts into language that their audience can easily access and understand. However, the challenge is finding ways to do that without oversimplifying to the point of inaccuracy.

This isn’t about simplifying things. It’s about finding the right metaphors, analogies, examples, and frameworks that make what could be an unfamiliar concept into an idea that clicks. When you can explain why zero-knowledge proofs matter to someone who isn’t a cryptographer (or has an active interest in the blockchain space), then you’ve demonstrated fundamental communication skills.

Effective blockchain PR and thought leadership hinges on this ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, and it’s a skill worth mastering if you really want to build a name for yourself. The most impactful crypto public relations strategies bridge the gap between technical innovation and mainstream understanding.

Final Word

Building recognition as a thought leader in Web3 is a marathon, not a sprint. The most respected voices in the space have been consistently contributing for years, weathering the various bear and bull market cycles and evolving their thinking as the technology matures.

In other words, you won’t become a thought leader overnight, and that’s okay. Start by sharing what you know and your areas of expertise. Be open about what you don’t know, and commit to continuous learning. To reach a point where your voice truly matters, you need to bring a fresh perspective backed by real experience.

Tether Releases First Gold Token Attestation: 7.7 Tons of Gold Back $770M XAUT Supply

The world’s largest stablecoin issuer, Tether, has released its first formal attestation for its gold-backed token, Tether Gold (XAU₮).

Notably, this token is under El Salvador’s regulatory framework. The report confirms that more than 7.7 tons of physical gold back the circulating supply of XAU₮, solidifying its position as the market’s largest tokenized gold asset.

7.7 Tons of Gold Backing, $770M Market Cap

As of the end of Q1 2025, Tether reports that 246,523.33 troy ounces of gold are held in secure vaults in Switzerland, backing XAU₮ on a 1:1 basis. At the attestation date, the price per token stood at $3,123, with the market cap reaching approximately $770 million.

Notably, XAU₮ reached an all-time high of $3,423 on April 21, 2025, driven by rising demand for safe-haven assets amid gold’s uptick. The development coincided with the global downturn in the financial markets, including crypto assets.

The attestation marks the first under a new regulatory regime in El Salvador, where XAU₮ is now a regulated digital asset. This development adds further legal certainty and positions Tether Gold as a standout asset among gold-backed tokens.

Gold Demand Soars as BRICS Central Banks Lead Accumulation

XAU₮’s growth reflects broader macro trends, as global investors and governments seek refuge from escalating inflation, trade disputes, and geopolitical instability.

According to the World Gold Council, central banks purchased 1,044.6 metric tons of gold in 2024. BRICS nations led the charge in diversifying away from U.S. dollar reliance.

Tether presents XAU₮ as a natural extension of gold’s historical role as a store of value, now accessible via blockchain.

Notably, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that XAU₮ allows users to access the stability of physical gold in digital form. Particularly, it is secure, easy to transfer, and fully backed by physical gold reserves on a one-to-one basis.

While Bitcoin remains the long-term vision for decentralized finance, Tether emphasizes that gold is already trusted in many emerging markets. XAU₮ fills a gap, especially for populations experiencing currency devaluation or political instability, by offering a digital, legally-backed version of their traditional hedge.

As fiat systems face mounting pressure, blockchain-based alternative assets like XAU₮ act as hybrid assets. XAU₮ merges centuries-old trust in gold with the efficiency and reach of digital assets.

Coinbase to Launch Bitcoin Yield Fund for Non-US Investors

0

Coinbase Asset Management is preparing to introduce a new investment product that will generate steady Bitcoin yields for non-U.S. institutional investors.

According to an official statement today, the Coinbase Bitcoin Yield Fund will debut on May 1. It is a long-bitcoin fund that seeks to deliver an annualized net return between 4% and 8%, payable in Bitcoin.

Unlike traditional blockchain staking used by cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum and Solana, this fund will use a trading strategy known as the cash-and-carry basis trade.

Strategic Approach to Yield Generation

In this method, traders exploit price discrepancies between spot Bitcoin and perpetual futures contracts, commonly called “perps”.

Notably, this price dislocation often provides greater opportunity when Bitcoin prices rise. However, Coinbase Asset Management acknowledged that yields might diminish or even turn negative during periods of declining Bitcoin prices.

Investors will participate in the fund by depositing Bitcoin and will retain the option to withdraw their underlying Bitcoin assets on a monthly basis. The fund will hold Bitcoin with Coinbase and other qualified custodians.

Coinbase has emphasized that while a 4% return target is set, actual results may vary significantly due to market conditions. Furthermore, the fund will employ only low leverage levels, distinguishing it from previous cases where excessive leverage in basis trades led to considerable losses.

Institutional Support and Risk Management Focus

The fund has already attracted backing from several investors, including Aspen Digital, an Abu Dhabi private wealth management platform. According to Coinbase Asset Management, institutional investors have shown interest in Bitcoin yield opportunities.

In line with this objective, the Bitcoin Yield Fund will prioritize safety by limiting operational and investment risks compared to competing products that may assume greater risk levels.

Meanwhile, Aspen Digital’s participation underscores the strategic importance of trusted custodianship and conservative fund structures for private wealth markets. Coinbase Asset Management noted that the cash-and-carry trade approach, although relatively low risk, has experienced notable failures in the past, mainly when firms relied heavily on leverage.

By focusing on a controlled leverage strategy, the fund intends to offer institutional investors a more stable environment for Bitcoin yield generation.

Outlook for Bitcoin Yield Opportunities

As the launch date approaches, Coinbase Asset Management maintains that developing structured investment products is critical for the next wave of institutional involvement in digital assets.

Sebastian Bea, President of Coinbase Asset Management, stated that the Bitcoin Yield Fund’s conservative and compliant framework positions it well for institutional demand.

However, the firm also cautioned investors that while the fund is designed to manage risk effectively, market conditions could still lead to performance variations.

Michael Saylor’s Strategy Further Deepens Bitcoin Holdings with Latest Acquisition of 15,355 BTC

0

Strategy is back in the headlines after splashing massive cash to secure a new batch of Bitcoin tokens for the second consecutive week.

The business intelligence-turned-Bitcoin development firm went shopping again in the previous week, its executive chairman, Michael Saylor, disclosed. In a tweet today, he confirmed that Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) had acquired 15,355 BTC, worth $1.42 billion.

Strategy’s acquisition adds to its recent weekly and monthly streak, following a persistent double-down on Bitcoin. The firm has now acquired Bitcoin for the second week in a row and the third time in the past five weeks.

Strategy Loves a Bitcoin Purchase

Meanwhile, Saylor disclosed that it acquired the fresh rounds of 15,355 BTC at an average price of $92,737 per coin, bringing its dollar-cost-averaged (DCA) Bitcoin cost to $68,459. Furthermore, today’s acquisition, which was expected following Saylor’s “green dot” tweet on Sunday, expands the depth of Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings to 553,555 BTC ($52 billion).

Interestingly, the self-acclaimed Bitcoin Treasury company further extends its position as the largest public firm holding the pioneering cryptocurrency. For context, it now holds second-place Marathon Digital by 505,955 BTC and third-place Twenty One Capital by 522,055 BTC, data from BitcoinTreasuries shows.

Remarkably, Strategy noted in the Monday acquisition announcement that its BTC yield now stands at 13.7% year-to-date, as its Bitcoin bet continues to pay off. Further analysis reveals that the firm spent $37.90 billion to acquire the stash, with its current valuation of $52 billion resulting in an unrealized profit of $14 billion.

Strategy Acquiring Bitcoin at Unreal Pace

Meanwhile, last week’s 15,355 BTC ($1.42 billion) acquisition further confirms a pattern noted by verified CryptoQuant contributor J.A. Maartunn. In a Monday tweet, he stressed that Strategy has always gone big on their acquisitions at the end of the month, as seen in the last three purchases.

For perspective, Strategy bought 20,365 BTC ($1.99 billion) and 22,048 BTC ($1.92 billion) in the last weeks of February and March, with today’s acquisition strengthening the argument. Meanwhile, in between the hefty Bitcoin buys, Strategy never acquired more than 7,000 BTC, further supporting the analyst’s theory.

Strategy’s Bitcoin Acquisition Chart

Remarkably, Adam Livingston recently stressed the impact of Strategy’s incessant Bitcoin acquisition in a Sunday commentary. The Bitcoin Age and The Great Harvest author highlighted that the business development firm is synthetically halving Bitcoin with its unrealized accruals.

While miners produce 450 BTC per day and 13,500 BTC per month following the 2024 halving, Strategy has been acquiring a chunk of these new bitcoins, synthetically reducing the supply. The analyst stressed that if this continues, Strategy would be inducing halving manually and spurring a supply shock.

Standard Chartered Sees Bitcoin Hitting $120K+ in Q2 2025

0

British multinational bank Standard Chartered encourages investors to buy Bitcoin now, projecting BTC’s surge to a new all-time high of $120,000 this quarter.

Standard Chartered’s head of global digital assets, Geoffrey Kendrick, made the bullish forecast today in an emailed report.

Factors to Drive Bitcoin’s Price to $120K

According to Kendrick, several on-chain and macro signals suggest that Bitcoin could reach a target price of $120,000 in Q2 2025.

Rising US Treasury Term Premium

The report highlighted the rise of the U.S. treasury term premium as one factor that could push Bitcoin’s price to the $120,000 target. It indicated that the treasury term premium, which strongly correlates with Bitcoin, recently reached a 12-year high.

Given the surge in the treasury premium, investors may channel capital to high-return assets like Bitcoin, potentially driving BTC to the $120,000 target.

Americans Shift from Non-US Assets

Kendrick’s analysis of trading flow patterns suggests that U.S. investors are moving away from dollar-based securities and into non-U.S. assets, particularly Bitcoin. He adds that Asian investors are following suit.

The expert noted that several investors, especially those from the U.S., embarked on a Bitcoin accumulation spree after President Donald Trump temporarily suspended his tariff hike for all countries except China earlier this month. Kendrick emphasized that the tariff reprieve helped Bitcoin outperform other financial instruments, including tech stocks.

Increased Whale Accumulation

In addition, the analyst highlighted the increased accumulation of BTC among whale investors, particularly those holding more than 1,000 Bitcoins, as another factor fueling his optimism for a surge to the $120,000 target.

Kendrick opined that these whale investors have been buying Bitcoin through the tariff-led decline and BTC’s subsequent recovery.

ETF Flows Show Growing Confidence in Bitcoin Over Gold

Lastly, he mentioned how ETF flows in the past week show investors reallocating capital from gold funds to Bitcoin. This reallocation reinforces the notion that Bitcoin is a better hedge against economic uncertainties.

Based on these factors, Kendrick expects Bitcoin to clinch a target of $120,000 in Q2 2025, representing an increase of 26.9% from the current price of $94,560. It also marks a surge of 9.97% from Bitcoin’s all-time high of $109,114, recorded on January 20.

Meanwhile, the Standard Chartered expert did not change his end-of-year target for Bitcoin, which he initially set at $200,000. Should Bitcoin clinch the $120,000 target, Kendrick expects the premier asset to continue its rally to lofty heights through the summer of 2025.

With Bitcoin expected to hit $120,000 this quarter, Kendrick acknowledged the difficulty in accurately identifying BTC’s breakouts. Therefore, he suggested that ‘now’ is the ideal time to buy BTC before its next leg up.

Bitcoin Price May Hit $210K This Year According to Presto Research Head Peter Chung

Bitcoin price may see new highs this year, according to recent forecasts by Peter Chung, Head of Research at quantitative trading firm Presto.

On April 28, during an interview with CNBC, Presto’s Head of Research, Peter Chung, projected that Bitcoin could surge to $210,000. He pointed to growing institutional adoption and expanding global liquidity as primary drivers behind this bullish outlook.

Although Bitcoin has experienced periods of turbulence, Chung emphasized that these corrections were necessary steps toward the crypto’s broader recognition as a mainstream financial asset.

Liquidity Expansion and Institutional Adoption Impacting Bitcoin Price

Furthermore, he described Bitcoin as possessing a dual character: operating as a “risk-on” asset during periods of market confidence and transforming into a “digital gold” amid financial instability.

Notably, historical events such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022, the Silicon Valley Bank collapse in 2023, and recent market stress tests have demonstrated Bitcoin’s nature as a risk-on asset, but Chung noted that these reactions are usually rare.

He mentioned that while Bitcoin initially lagged behind traditional safe assets like gold during recent upheavals, it still holds the capacity to “catch up” and outperform by year-end, based on emerging patterns.

MVRV Ratio Methodology for Bitcoin Price Prediction

Notably, Chung had previously set the same price expectation in January, citing confidence in sustained global liquidity expansion. Notably, the $210,000 Bitcoin target was rooted in a detailed analysis of the Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) ratio.

This metric, which evaluates the difference between Bitcoin’s current market price and the average price of moved coins, is commonly used to identify market extremes. Chung revealed that Presto calculated Bitcoin’s realized value for 2025 and applied a historical 3.5x multiple to estimate the target.

Other Analysts Forecasting $200K and Above

Presto Research is not alone in its bullish outlook. Robert Kiyosaki, well-known for authoring Rich Dad Poor Dad, also anticipates Bitcoin to reach between $180,000 and $200,000 in 2025. Kiyosaki, a consistent advocate of Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation, has further projected a $1 million target for Bitcoin by 2035.

Meanwhile, Michaël van de Poppe, Chief Investment Officer and Founder of MN Consultancy, observed that whale activity within Bitcoin markets has been increasing.

Whales, large holders of Bitcoin, continue to accumulate even at current price levels. Van de Poppe interpreted this behavior as a reflection of strong market confidence. He suggested that, if momentum continues, Bitcoin could potentially climb toward $300,000 to $500,000, well beyond Presto’s and Kiyosaki’s target.

Cardano Founder Says ‘Welcome Home Bitcoin’ As Lace Adds BTC Support in Latest Upgrade

0

The Cardano wallet Lace has clinched a major milestone with the release of version 1.22, officially adding Bitcoin support for users participating in its beta program.

This update marks Lace’s first step into becoming a multi-chain wallet, with users now able to store, send, and manage Bitcoin directly from the interface. The Lace development team described the upgrade as a “big one,” on track with Cardano’s vision of cross-chain interoperability.

The announcement triggered a response from Cardano founder and Input Output Global (IOG) CEO Charles Hoskinson. In a commentary on X, Hoskinson celebrated the moment, confirming that users could now interact with Bitcoin on the Cardano wallet.

Bitcoin on Cardano Wallet Lace

His excitement is due to Cardano’s broader ambition to integrate Bitcoin into its decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Although this Bitcoin support within Lace does not yet represent the full realization of Bitcoin DeFi on Cardano, it is an important development in that direction.

For Hoskinson, this move validates years of work looking to bridge Bitcoin’s vast liquidity with Cardano’s smart contract platform. The Cardano founder suggested earlier this month that the integration is closer than most think.

Notably, Cardano’s roadmap includes partnerships like the one with BitcoinOS, utilizing zero-knowledge (ZK) for trustless Bitcoin bridging, and protocols such as Midnight and Midgard designed to enable private and secure Bitcoin staking without the need for wrapped tokens.

For context, Hoskinson is eyeing a demonstration of Bitcoin DeFi integration next month, in May 2025, at the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas. As the ecosystem awaits this move, Lace’s new Bitcoin functionality presents market participants with a glimpse of Cardano’s future ambitions.

Despite the excitement, it is crucial to note that Lace’s Bitcoin feature is primarily a storage and management tool at this stage, and not yet part of the larger DeFi infrastructure being built.

Full Bitcoin DeFi integration will involve mechanisms like Babel fees, which allow users to pay transaction fees in Bitcoin, and merged mining possibilities, presenting Cardano as a smart contract layer for Bitcoin.

More Fixes from Version 1.22

Meanwhile, in addition to Bitcoin support, Lace 1.22 addresses several other enhancements. For instance, a previously reported issue affecting DRep identification for governance dApps has been resolved, improving the voting experience for users engaged in Cardano’s on-chain governance.

Furthermore, the upgrade includes fixes for hardware wallet interactions, specifically refining output format mappings that had caused failures when connecting with decentralized applications.

Notably, Hoskinson confirmed this month that Lace could be on track to support XRP. The latest Lace update is part of a broader series of upgrades that have steadily enhanced the Cardano wallet’s capabilities throughout 2024 and 2025.

Previous Lace Upgrades

Earlier versions like 1.9 introduced multi-account and multi-wallet setups, allowing users to manage various wallets under a single recovery phrase, enhancing both convenience and security.

The 1.12 release added multi-staking capabilities alongside Trezor and Ledger hardware wallet integration, making it easier for ADA holders to delegate across multiple pools. Later updates focused on performance, such as 1.17.5’s improvements to synchronization speeds and 1.19.0’s introduction of a DApp Explorer powered by DappRadar.

Last December, Hoskinson teased that Lace could be a “powerhouse” in 2025. This came on the back of fixes that improved its Nami mode following the migration of over 200,000 Nami wallet users into Lace.

Top Analyst Predicts Shiba Inu 114% Rally As SHIB Now Running Amid Bitcoin Resurgence

0

A prominent market analyst expects the recent Shiba Inu resurgence to continue, predicting further upside after a bounce from an accumulation zone.

Specifically, watcher StrongHedge insisted in a recent commentary that Shiba Inu, the second-largest meme coin by market capitalization, has been on a good run lately. Notably, charts support this assertion, as SHIB surged an impressive 8% last week, marking its third consecutive week of positive price action.

Bitcoin’s Resurgence a Catalyst

Furthermore, the analyst tied part of Shiba Inu’s bullish momentum to Bitcoin’s resurgence. The crypto firstborn has increased by 27% since its low of $74,393 in early April to its current price of around $95,000, and StrongHedge believes this has contributed to the recent positive price run for SHIB.

In truth, the dog-themed meme coin has regained momentum since Bitcoin’s rebound, rallying 36% from its intra-month bottom of $0.00001029. Notably, this recovery has sparked speculations that Shiba Inu will rally to new highs before the bull run ends.

Notably, the bullish sentiments resonate with StrongHedge, which predicts a lower high price action on Shiba Inu’s daily chart. The prominent chart highlighted that SHIB bounced from an accumulation zone with its April 9 rejection of lower prices, contributing to the asset’s northward momentum.

From here, the market watcher predicts a 114% rally to $0.00003, a price level that Shiba Inu last saw in December. He identified the target in an accompanying chart, highlighting two possible resistance levels for this uptrend.

Shiba Inu to $0.000030/StrongHedge

First, his commentary suggested a supply zone around February’s high of $0.00001734. If SHIB breaches the level, it will face another impediment around $0.000024, a support-turned-resistance area where the token was rejected multiple times in December and January.

Analysts Expect Strong Shiba Inu Rally

Interestingly, StrongHedge’s analysis follows a commentary from CryptoELITES predicting a 16-fold Shiba Inu rally. The market watcher identified that the meme coin sits at a strong support zone in a forming symmetrical triangle, projecting a potential “big move” to $0.000230, a staggering 1,542% uptick from the current market price.

Shiba Inu’s Symmetrical Triangle/CryptoELITE

Moreover, analyst “SABoikie” predicted a similar parabolic expansion for SHIB. According to a report, he speculated on a possible surge to $0.00010, citing a potential fractal repetition. Nonetheless, the analyst insisted that Shiba Inu is a good buy from here, regardless.

In the meantime, Shiba Inu trades at $0.0000140, up 3.57% from the past day.

Analyst Says Dogecoin Millionaires Will Be Made in the Next 2-3 Months

0

Crypto Bio highlights bullish divergence on Dogecoin’s chart, saying Dogecoin millionaires will emerge in the next 2 to 3 months.

Dogecoin (DOGE) has shown signs of a potential trend shift, following a period of sideways trading after peaking at $0.19. Over the past seven days, Dogecoin has risen by 12.0%, aligning with visible bullish sentiment.

On a 14-day basis, it remains up by 10.6%, with the current price resting at $0.1816.

Meanwhile, an analyst is pointing to key technical developments, including bullish divergence that would make more Dogecoin millionaires in the next 2 to 3 months.

Potential Trend Reversals

Two instances of bullish divergence have been highlighted on Crypto Bio’s Dogecoin chart, indicating weakening bearish momentum.

The first divergence, spanning from late June to August 2024, saw the price fall into the $0.07 to $0.09 range while the RSI indicator formed higher lows. This suggested a reduction in selling pressure, ultimately preceding a sharp rally into December 2024, where Dogecoin surpassed $0.40.

Following this pattern, a second bullish divergence has emerged between March and April 2025 amid the ongoing price turbulence. Again, Dogecoin’s price created lower lows, bottoming at approximately $0.1300.

However, the RSI posted higher lows, replicating the bullish pattern seen months prior. The analyst noted that Dogecoin appeared to be “waking up,” with a potential target near $0.5. Notably, he predicts that Dogecoin could reach this level in the next two to three months.

According to him, such a rally could make more Dogecoin millionaires. However, such investors might need to hold large amounts of the token. For context, if Dogecoin reaches this level, a $10,000 bag would only grow to $27,534, making a profit of $17,534. For a Dogecoin holder to become a millionaire at the $0.5 level, they would need to hold 2 million DOGE. These 2 million tokens are currently worth $360,000.

Parabolic Trendline Holds

Meanwhile, in addition to bullish divergences, analyst “abermix” observed that Dogecoin is currently respecting a long-term parabolic trendline. Drawn from a low near $0.05 in the 2022–2023 range, this ascending curve extends into 2025. Dogecoin’s price currently sits atop this trendline, maintaining it despite multiple breach attempts at $0.06, around $0.08, and again above $0.14.

Notably, the price remains slightly below both the short- and long-term exponential moving averages (EMAs). However, a minor rally above the $0.20 mark could lift DOGE, potentially confirming a trend reversal.

Falling Wedge Breakout Adds to Bullish Case

Adding to the technical backdrop, an analysis from April 25 detailed that Dogecoin broke out of a falling wedge pattern. This formation had contained DOGE within a downtrend for several months, with resistance tested at $0.28 in February and again at $0.16 in April.

The breakout near $0.18 was accompanied by increasing trading volume and a reclaim of key support levels, indicating the potential for a shift to an upward trajectory.

The analyst noted that the falling wedge pattern traditionally precedes a bullish reversal, and the current price action aligns with this historical behavior. With strong support noted around $0.143 and $0.16, the targeted move points toward the $0.46 level.

Dogecoin Bulls Defend $0.18: Can DOGE Hit $0.30 Next?

Dogecoin is trading above the 50-day EMA, signaling a trend reversal. A breakout above $0.20 could lead to the $0.28–$0.30 resistance zones.

With Bitcoin holding above the $94,000 mark, meme coins are preparing for a major trend reversal. Dogecoin, the largest cryptocurrency in the meme coin segment, is currently trading at $0.1812 with a market cap of $27 billion.

Over the past week, Dogecoin has surged by nearly 12%. As Dogecoin holds above the $0.18 mark, will the meme coin witness a breakout rally to $0.20?

Dogecoin Price Analysis

On the daily chart, the Dogecoin price trend shows a strong pullback after the December 2024 rally. Since then, the price has dropped by nearly 60% from its swing high of $0.4846.

Dogecoin Price Chart
Dogecoin Price Chart

The decline marked a local bottom at $0.1410 before signaling a potential trend reversal. Last week, Dogecoin’s recovery surpassed the 50-day EMA, hinting at a potential turnaround.

The intraday candle shows lower price rejection from the 24-hour low of $0.1738, with an intraday recovery of 1%. Furthermore, the MACD and signal lines maintain a positive flow, crossing above the zero line.

However, the short-term consolidation near the average line has led to a minor drop in trend momentum. These signals show a decline in positive histograms, warning of a potential negative crossover.

Additionally, the recovery has surpassed the highest trading volume range since December 2024, near $0.17. As Dogecoin continues to float above $0.17, the uptrend faces the next prominent volume zone near $0.20.

Beyond this psychological level, the next high-volume zone begins at $0.32, suggesting significant upside potential if the uptrend breaks above $0.20.

DOGE Price Targets

If Dogecoin rises from the 50-day EMA, the uptrend will likely face strong resistance near the $0.20 psychological mark. This level coincides with the 23.6% Fibonacci level and the declining 100-day EMA.

Beyond this, the bulls will likely target the $0.30 psychological level and the 50% Fibonacci level at $0.28. On the flip side, crucial support for Dogecoin remains at $0.17, followed by the $0.15 psychological level.

Analyst Targets $0.32 as Dogecoin Exits Falling Wedge

Supporting the possibility of a bullish trend in Dogecoin, crypto analyst Jonathan Carter highlights a major bull run ahead. The analyst notes a minor consolidation in Dogecoin on the two-day price chart before the bull run begins.

Following the falling wedge breakout, the uptrend is currently stagnant near the $0.18 level. Beyond this, the analyst forecasts the uptrend to reach price targets of $0.23, $0.29, and eventually $0.34.
