ETFStore President Predicts BlackRock and Fidelity to ‘Be Involved’ in XRP ETF as Ripple Lawsuit Nears End

0

ETFStore President Nate Geraci expects BlackRock and Fidelity to file for XRP ETFs in the U.S. as the Ripple lawsuit nears its conclusion.

This week, the multi-year Ripple lawsuit saw a major development after the crypto payments company dropped its cross-appeal against the SEC.

This decision came a few days after the SEC had also agreed to dismiss its appeal, a move confirmed by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. Despite these decisions, the parties still need the SEC’s commissioners’ approval and court processes to finalize the resolution of the lawsuit.

Previously, several experts, including Geraci, believed that the lawsuit could hinder the approval of XRP ETFs in the U.S. and deter top asset managers from participating.

This is evident in BlackRock and Fidelity staying away from filing for XRP ETFs despite other financial institutions like Franklin Templeton and WisdomTree submitting respective applications.

BlackRock and Fidelity to Participate in XRP ETF

With the lawsuit nearing its end–potentially clearing up regulatory uncertainties surrounding XRP–Geraci argued that BlackRock and Fidelity will participate in the XRP ETF initiative.

These multi-trillion-dollar asset managers already have spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs trading on major exchanges. However, they have not filed for an XRP ETF even though it ranks as the third-biggest non-stablecoin crypto in the market.

Geraci expects this to change now that the Ripple lawsuit is coming to an end.

SEC to Approve XRP ETF

Further, he asserted that the SEC will definitely approve XRP for an ETF, noting that it is only a matter of time before this happens. Recall that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse shared a similar opinion earlier, expressing confidence in the potential launch of XRP ETFs.

Ever since, several institutions, including 21Shares and Grayscale, have filed to launch XRP ETF in the U.S. The SEC has also acknowledged multiple XRP ETF filings submitted by exchanges.

Earlier this month, prominent technical expert Vincent Van Code forecasted that the SEC would approve multiple XRP ETFs by May 22, 2025. It remains uncertain whether this prediction will come to pass.

In the meantime, investors are anticipating the SEC’s official statement regarding its decision to drop the Ripple appeal, ending the regulatory uncertainties surrounding XRP. The commission is expected to vote on the decision today during its closed-door meeting.

Bitcoin Is a Big Idea Whose Time Has Come: Bitwise CEO

0

Hunter Horsley, the CEO of $12 billion asset manager Bitwise, is talking up Bitcoin again.

In an X post on Wednesday, March 26, Horsley asserted that Bitcoin is a “big idea whose time has come.”

This statement plays on the popular Victor Hugo quote, “No power on earth can stop an idea whose time has come,” which suggests that when it is the right time for an idea, nothing can stop it from spreading and becoming a reality.

In simple terms, Horsley is suggesting that Bitcoin is now unstoppable. This is just the latest in a series of positive remarks that Horsley has made about the cryptocurrency in recent months.

In February, Horsley asserted that 2025 would be the year Bitcoin went mainstream, citing JPMorgan’s mention of the asset in its quarterly ETF report. The report highlighted the surge in funds flowing into digital asset investments with the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs in 2024.

Bitcoin on Fast Lane to Mainstream Adoption

Horsley’s statements come at a time when Bitcoin appears to be on the fast track to mainstream acceptance.

For one, U.S. President Donald Trump has recently established Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset in the U.S., a move that Bitwise, through its CIO Matt Hougan, suggests could drive other nations to follow suit while also improving the institutional perception of the asset.

Institutions have already been piling in, as evidenced by the significant inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs over the past year. For context, these funds have seen net inflows of over $36 billion at the time of writing.

Moreover, corporations led by Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) are piling in. The latest firm to join the Bitcoin treasury strategy bandwagon is video game retailer GameStop, which recently revealed plans to raise up to $1.3 billion to buy Bitcoin.

Amid all of these catalysts, the wealth manager has set a price target of $200,000 per Bitcoin for 2025. This represents a 130% increase from the asset’s current price of $87,000.

Here’s How Much You Would Have if You Invested $10,000 in XRP 6 Months Ago Rather Than BTC or ETH

0

Market data confirms XRP has beaten Bitcoin and Ethereum in returns on investment (ROI) over the past six months.

XRP and the broader crypto market have been in a bearish phase over the past two months, led by Bitcoin (BTC), the leading crypto asset. Within this period, BTC has collapsed below the $90,000 psychological level and XRP has relinquished the $3 mark.

However, market data indicates that XRP has demonstrated greater resilience than the rest of the market amid the downturn. An evaluation of the investment returns for the top three crypto assets—Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP—shows that XRP has been a standout performer in recent times.

Tokens Procured with $10,000 in Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP

Notably, The Crypto Basic recently assessed how much an investor would be sitting on today if they had committed $10,000 in XRP, Bitcoin, or Ethereum. All three assets show varying returns, with XRP presenting the largest difference.

Particularly, six months ago, on Sept. 27, 2024, $10,000 in Bitcoin would have procured 0.152 BTC tokens, with Bitcoin trading for $65,781 then. On the same day, if the investor had committed $10,000 in ETH, this investment would have amassed 3.71 ETH tokens at the price of $2,728.

Meanwhile, investing the same $10,000 in XRP would secure 16,992 XRP tokens. For context, on Sept. 27, 2024, XRP traded for $0.5885 amid a consolidation phase that began mid-September and persisted until the end of the month.

Returns on Investment

Notably, as Bitcoin soared to an ATH of $109,356 on Jan. 20, 2025, the 0.152 BTC, procured with $10,000 last September, spiked to $16,662, presenting over $6.6K in returns. However, with BTC currently changing hands at $87,336, the $10,000 investment is now worth $13,275. This indicates that BTC has presented returns of $3,275 over the past six months.

For Ethereum, the 3.71 ETH tokens, worth $10,000 in September 2024, soared to a value of $15,240 when Ethereum hit a three-year peak of $4,108 in mid-December 2024. Nonetheless, as ETH has dropped to the current price of $2,026, the initial $10,000 investment is now worth $7,516. This confirms that Ethereum has lost $2,484 in the last six months.

With XRP, the 16,992 tokens rose to a worth of $57,772 in mid-January when XRP hit a seven-year high of $3.4. However, as the asset has dropped to $2.36 at press time, the $10,000 investment is now valued at $40,101. This entails that XRP has presented returns of over $30,000 in the past six months.

These results are expected, as XRP has outperformed the rest of the market over the past few months. For context, XRP has gained a massive 281% against the entire crypto market since the U.S. elections in November 2024. Despite this, XRP still trades below its ATH, with some suggesting its uptrend is still in the early phases.

Top Analyst Says Massive Dogecoin Pump Looming Amid MACD Breakout, Targets $1

0

Dogecoin looks set for a massive rally to uncharted territories as a prominent market analyst identifies the recent MACD breakout as a catalyst.

Dogecoin is currently the best-performing asset among the top 10 crypto rankings by market cap in the last seven days. The largest meme coin by market cap has surged an impressive 12.63%, dwarfing gains from market leaders Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP.

With recent gains, DOGE has rebounded 37% from its intra-month low of $0.1432, rewarding investors who bought the dip. Nonetheless, according to analytical insight from prominent market watcher Trader Tardigrade, there may be room for higher prices.

Dogecoin Pump Incoming?

In a March 25 X post, Trader Tardigrade asserted that Dogecoin could extend its recent form to unprecedented price highs. This is because the doggy-themed meme coin’s moving average convergence divergence (MACD) recently defied a triangular consolidation.

DOGE’s MACD, which shows the difference between the 26-day and 12-day exponential moving averages (EMA), trended between a symmetrical triangle from early February and broke out last week, indicating a momentum shift. The analyst suggested this could spell a parabolic expansion, citing Dogecoin’s price action when a similar event occurred last year.

The perspective from an accompanying chart indicates that Dogecoin’s late 2024 surge materialized from a MACD breakout in September. Notably, the prominent meme coin surged 424% from the breakout point to its December high of $0.4846.

Dogecoin MACD Breakout/Trader Tardigrade

Trader Tardigrade suggests that a similar scenario could occur, predicting a massive rally to the psychological $1 price mark. For context, the dazzling run would see Dogecoin surge by 410% from its current market price.

Dogecoin Faces Key Resistance

Notably, DOGE’s bullish price action yesterday halted at $0.2061, with the token retracing 5% from the area. Prominent market analyst Ali Martinez identified the area as a strong resistance level and a roadblock to Dogecoin’s bullish flip.

In a recent analysis, he emphasized how crucial the $0.21 resistance zone is. The market watcher noted that the SuperTrend indicator suggested that Dogecoin would enter a bullish phase if it breached the resistance.

Dogecoin’s Resistance/Ali Martinez

Meanwhile, Glassnode’s URPD metric supports this claim, highlighting the area as Dogecoin’s third-largest resistance level, only behind $0.07 and $0.17.

In the meantime, Dogecoin consolidates around the resistance, trading at $0.1960. If the supply wall breaks, Dogecoin could target prices like $2.28 and $6.

GameStop Moves To Raise up to $1.3B To Buy Bitcoin

0

GameStop looks set to follow Strategy’s Bitcoin accumulation blueprint.

When GameStop announced on Tuesday that it had updated its investment policy to add Bitcoin as a treasury asset, many expected the firm would purchase the asset using some of its $4.75 billion cash reserves. However, recent statements from the company suggest otherwise.

In a press release on Wednesday, March 26, the video game retailer disclosed its intention to issue senior convertible notes to buy Bitcoin.

Senior convertible notes are debt instruments that offer holders the option to convert their notes into equity at a set price or redeem them for cash.

GameStop intends to issue $1.3 billion in senior convertible notes maturing in 2030, with 0% interest. Buyers will have the option to purchase an additional $200 million worth of these notes within two weeks of the initial issuance.

The firm said this raise will be used to purchase Bitcoin in line with its investment policy.

Following MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin Blueprint

With this move, GameStop follows the blueprint laid out by business intelligence firm turned Bitcoin treasury company, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy). Using this model, it has accumulated over 500,000 BTC, worth over $44 billion at market prices—the largest holding of any corporate entity.

GameStop’s decision to follow this model should perhaps not be surprising, as its decision to add Bitcoin to its balance sheet likely stemmed from a meeting between CEO Ryan Cohen and Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor.

“Welcome to Team Bitcoin,” Saylor wrote on Tuesday in response to GameStop’s investment policy update.

Expert Predicts 2x Shiba Inu Rally to $0.0000340 in the Coming Days Upon Wedge Breakout

0

A prominent market analyst has predicted a Shiba Inu rally to December 2024 highs in the near term amid an imminent descending channel breakout.

Market watcher World of Charts shared the promising price outlook in a Wednesday tweet amid Shiba Inu’s renewed bullishness. The seasoned analyst predicted a near price breakout for the meme coin, asserting a solid run to higher prices in the coming days.

Notably, the commentary follows Shiba Inu’s momentum shift from earlier prevalent bearishness to a bullish disposition. The asset has now appreciated in five consecutive days for the first time since late September, growing 13% within this period.

Shiba Inu Nears Breakout

Amid the recovery, World of Charts highlighted a rapidly developing bullish price action in the 12-hour SHIB/USDT chart, confirming that the meme coin is breaking out. He noted that the token’s 11% weekly rally has pushed prices to the tip of a multi-month descending channel.

For context, the channel started forming following Shiba Inu’s December 8 high of $0.00003343, trending in lower highs and lower lows within the structure. SHIB faked a bearish breakdown with its February 3 steep decline to $0.00001160 but bounced back within the wedge.

The market watcher suggested that a sustained break above the wedge’s upper resistance trendline would spur a massive rally. Specifically, he speculated a solid 2x rally to $0.0000340 for the prominent meme coin in the coming days.

Shiba Inu Nears Breakout/World of Charts

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu’s price has since receded into the structure following a rejection from the boundary’s resistance. At the current market price, SHIB would surge an impressive 136% to hit the analyst’s target after a successful breakout.

Shiba Inu Emerges from Falling Wedge

Interestingly, according to analyst CryptoBull_360, SHIB has already broken out. In a recent analysis, the commentator shared that the token has broken upward from a falling wedge pattern in its daily timeframe.

Shiba Inu Breakout/CryptoBull360

He insisted the price surge could spur a bullish rally for Shiba Inu, with explosive volume and momentum as further catalysts. Furthermore, the market watcher stated that a daily close above the 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) could spur a 74% rally to $0.000025, aligning with an earlier analysis from watcher CryptoRoy.

In the meantime, Shiba Inu trades at $0.00001445, up 1.65% in the past 24 hours.

PEPE Eyes $0.000010 Target as Whale Activity Spikes

PEPE price trend targets $0.000010 as a falling wedge breakout rally sees a surge in whale holdings.

With a bullish recovery in the crypto market, the meme coin market segment has reached a valuation of $56.48 million. Following the recent short-term recovery, Pepe registered a 7-day growth of 13.34%.

However, over the last 24 hours, the meme coin has dropped by nearly 2%. Trading at a market price of $0.000008591, will Pepe rise to the $0.0000010 psychological mark?

PEPE Price Trend Eyes $0.000010 Mark

On the daily chart, PEPE’s price action reveals a bullish breakout from a falling wedge pattern. This signals a quick V-shaped reversal challenging the 50-day EMA at $0.000008844.

Pepe Price Chart
Pepe Price Chart

Over the past 24 hours, PEPE’s price reached a high of $0.000009242. However, the higher price rejection resulted in a failure to sustain dominance over the 50-day EMA line.

Currently, the breakout rally faces rejection from the dynamic resistance, making it difficult to reach the $0.000010 psychological mark. However, the short-term recovery has led to four consecutive bullish candles, indicating strong bullish support.

While the 50, 100, and 200-day EMA lines maintain a negative alignment, the short-term recovery has resulted in positive growth in the MACD and signal lines. As a result, the momentum indicator continues to show gradual growth in the bullish trend.

As the falling wedge breakout rally challenges the 50-day EMA line, the bull run is likely to face the next resistance at the 23.6% Fibonacci level, near the $0.000010 psychological mark. Optimistically, a broader market recovery could propel PEPE prices to $0.000013344.

On the flip side, the crucial support for Pepe remains at $0.0000060, followed by the $0.0000050 psychological support.

Early PEPE Investor And Whales Load Up PEPE

Amid the possibility of a bullish continuation, Qianbaidu.eth, an early Pepe investor, recently withdrew 506.2 billion PEPE, worth $4.4 million. The whale currently holds nearly 700 billion PEPE, valued at $5.11 million.

The investor has a floating profit of $164K and has previously booked a profit of $7.34 million.

As an early investor returns to the market, whale holdings are experiencing a significant surge.

Since early March, the balance of holdings from 1 trillion to 10 trillion PEPE has increased from 131.81 trillion PEPE to 152.01 trillion PEPE. This significant growth over the past month signals increased confidence among Pepe investors.

Wyoming Eyes H2 2025 for Potential Launch of Its Stablecoin

0

The highly anticipated launch of the Wyoming stablecoin might happen in the early phase of this year’s second half.

Mark Gordon, the Governor of Wyoming, confirmed this during a speech at the DC Blockchain Summit. He said the Wyoming stablecoin (WYST) might go live in July following a rigorous testing phase across seven blockchains. They include Solana, Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Base.

Once they finalize testing, WYST might launch on the mainnet version of the aforementioned blockchains in the coming months. With Gordon announcing the potential launch date of WYST, the Wyoming Stable Token Commission unveiled LayerZero as the stablecoin’s development and distribution partner.

The governor referred to WYST as the first fiat-backed stablecoin from a public entity in the U.S. WYST’s launch could set a precedent for other U.S. states that might be eyeing a similar move.

Wyoming Stablecoin Initiative

Wyoming first proposed the stablecoin in February 2022 through a state-backed bill, the Wyoming Stable Token Act. Interestingly, the state’s Senate supported the bill’s passage, which was later signed into law in March 2023.

Afterward, Wyoming recruited top executives and officers to develop the stablecoin, with Gordon suggesting a potential launch window of Q1 2025.

Notably, the state was only able to roll out the test version of the stablecoin on seven blockchains in the first quarter of the year. It expects the mainnet launch to happen by July 2025.

WYST Features

WYST is a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 ratio. It will be backed by cash equivalents, repurchase agreements, and U.S. Treasuries upon its launch.

Anthony Apollo, the Executive Director of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, expects WYST to enable users to facilitate near-instant transactions with relatively low fees.

US Edges Close to Welcoming First Stablecoin Regulation

Meanwhile, stablecoins have garnered significant attention since the U.S. moved closer to having its first stablecoin regulation through the GENIUS Act.

As previously reported, the Senate Banking Committee approved the bill with bipartisan support earlier this month, advancing it to the full Senate for another round of votes.

The odds of the GENIUS Act’s passage in the full Senate soared last week after President Donald Trump urged U.S. lawmakers to pass “all sensible dollar-pegged stablecoin regulation.”

Once the U.S. has a regulatory framework for stablecoins at the federal level, some states might introduce similar regulations or follow Wyoming’s lead in launching their own dollar-pegged stablecoins.

Dogecoin Targets $0.31 as Bulls Push for $0.20 Breakout

Dogecoin has entered a new recovery rally, with on-chain data suggesting a smooth path to $0.31 after a breakout above $0.20.

With the crypto market experiencing a recovery this week, meme coins are on a bullish roll. Top meme coins such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe have seen price surges of 12% to 13% over the past week.

Currently, Dogecoin, the largest meme coin by market cap, holds a market capitalization of $29.30 billion and is trading at $0.1972. Will the recovery in DOGE surpass the $0.20 psychological mark, leading to an extended bull run?

Dogecoin Reversal Run Nears $0.20 Breakout

In the daily chart, DOGE’s price action shows a bullish breakout from a falling wedge pattern, indicating the potential end of the prevailing downtrend.

Dogecoin Price Chart
Dogecoin Price Chart

Additionally, the recovery has resulted in four consecutive bullish candles on the daily chart. At present, Dogecoin is trading at $0.1973, reflecting an intraday gain of 1.20%.

This suggests the possibility of another bullish candle as the uptrend continues. However, the bull run, which has already surpassed the 23.60% Fibonacci level at $0.1781, is struggling to reach the 50 EMA line.

This highlights the bulls’ challenge in overcoming the $0.20 psychological resistance. Despite this, the short-term recovery has led to a positive crossover in the MACD and signal lines, indicating potential bullish continuation.

Based on the Fibonacci levels, a breakout above the 50-day EMA could target the 50% Fibonacci level at $0.27785.

Analyst Signals Potential Trend Reversal

As the recovery gains momentum, crypto analyst Ali Martinez suggests the possibility of a bullish continuation and trend reversal.

According to Martinez, the trend is nearing a breakout above the supertrend indicator, signaling the start of a bullish phase. However, the bulls need to surpass the $0.21 level to confirm a bullish trend.

Glassnode Hints at Strong Recovery Chances for Dogecoin

In a recent tweet, Glassnode presented the URPD chart of Dogecoin, highlighting that 7% of its supply is concentrated at the $0.20 mark. This makes it a critical resistance level for Dogecoin.

According to Glassnode, a bullish breakout above $0.20 could trigger a price surge to $0.31 due to the limited supply pressure at this level.

Bitcoin ETFs Face Critical Turning Point as Institutional Demand Weakens

Bitcoin ETFs, which once fueled significant optimism in the crypto market, are now at a crossroads.

According to CryptoQuant, institutional investors are reshuffling and reducing their exposure to the crypto market due to macroeconomic uncertainty. This transition has resulted in a sharp reversal of Bitcoin ETF inflows over the past few weeks.

In particular, CryptoQuant cited a nearly $5 billion drawdown, representing a major 12% dip in inflows from the all-time high figures. This bearish turn of events has coincided with a weakening of Bitcoin’s price momentum, with the asset currently trading around $87,000.

Institutional Appetite Stalls After a Strong Start to 2025

The trend in ETF flows highlights the changing market sentiment. In 2024, Bitcoin ETFs accumulated over $30 billion in inflows. Asset managers like BlackRock and Fidelity led the charge, even setting historic records for the global ETF market.

The momentum spilled over into 2025, with the earlier parts of the year starting strong. However, the inflows have since stalled and reversed, with investors becoming more cautious. This shift marks a departure from the steady accumulation phase seen last year.

Notably, the reversal comes amid dipping prices in the spot market. Inflows were high in the first weeks of this year when Bitcoin traded above the $100K level and even approached $110K. The market has since corrected. Following a subsequent dip to $76K, the ETF market has mirrored this decline.

ETF Net Flows Stabilizing Amid Choppy Market Conditions

Meanwhile, despite the recent outflows, the market appears to be stabilizing. Daily ETF net flows are neither strongly positive nor negative, suggesting a temporary equilibrium between demand and supply. CryptoQuant describes the current state of ETF flows as “choppy.”

Image

For context, U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs have registered nine consecutive trading days of positive flows. Notably, most of the inflows have been from BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, which often stands as the sole buyer of Bitcoin on some days.

Other ETFs like Grayscale, Invesco, and Franklin either register zero new investments or post negative flows.

Bitcoin Price vs. ETF Realized Price

It is worth mentioning that despite the outflows and market volatility, ETF holders are still sitting on an average unrealized profit of 17%. Specifically, Bitcoin trades around $87,000, while the ETF Realized Price—the average cost basis for ETF holders—sits at $72,546.

Ultimately, ETF flows are stabilizing with no strong directional bias in the market. Accordingly, Bitcoin’s next move will likely depend on economic factors or potential announcements from Donald Trump.
