XRP vs. Bitcoin: If XRP Control is a Concern, What About MicroStrategy, BlackRock, and BTC Whales

0

A top crypto proponent pushes back against criticism from Bitcoin maximalists who claim XRP is centralized due to Ripple’s involvement.

Tensions between the Bitcoin and XRP communities have skyrocketed recently following reports that the U.S. government is preparing to establish a national digital asset reserve.

Feud Between XRP and Bitcoin Communities

Ripple is advocating for a level playing field that could include XRP and other crypto assets in the reserve alongside BTC. Meanwhile, some Bitcoin proponents claimed that the company was advocating against the premier cryptocurrency. Consequently, they embarked on a FUD campaign, spreading negative narratives about XRP and Ripple.

For instance, Bitcoin maxi Pierre Rochard of Riot Platforms labeled XRP a threat to the national digital asset reserve initiative. Furthermore, he slammed Ripple for undermining Bitcoin’s decentralization ethos through its control over XRP, particularly its large XRP holdings.

According to the latest quarterly report, Ripple remains the largest holder of XRP, with a holding of over 42 billion XRP.

Critic Says Large Bitcoin Holders Pose Centralization Risk for BTC

As this narrative gained momentum, Lester Pyle, a crypto enthusiast, pushed back against the criticism. In a recent tweet, Lester contended that if Bitcoin proponents are worried about Ripple’s control over XRP, they should also be concerned about the potential centralization risk associated with BTC due to its several large holders.

He cited BlackRock, MicroStrategy, Bitcoin pseudonymous founder Satoshi Nakamoto, and other Bitcoin whales. It is common knowledge that these entities hold large amounts of Bitcoin.

While MicroStrategy holds 471,107 BTC as part of its diversification strategy for its corporate treasury, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF holds 582,873.7 BTC.

Additionally, Bitcoin’s pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, owns 1.1 million BTC. In addition to the aforementioned entities, other whales also have large amounts of BTC across different blockchain wallets. Critics see these as contributing to Bitcoin’s potential centralization risk.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin proponents often countered that the percentage of BTC supply these individual entities own is less than 5% of Bitcon’s total supply. This contrasts steeply with Ripple’s nearly 50% supply control over XRP’s max cap.

Yet, Lester declared his support for large Bitcoin and XRP holders, emphasizing that they help to promote both ecosystems rather than harm them.

Furthermore, the user dismissed other concerns about Ripple’s XRP holdings as FUD, urging people to stop spreading negative narratives about the third-biggest cryptocurrency.

Million-Dollar Bet: Expert Day Trader Buys $1,000,000 in XRP on the Dip

0

Dave Portnoy, a widely followed crypto day trader, has publicly disclosed his latest acquisition of XRP, investing $1 million in the asset.

Portnoy made the announcement during his latest day trading livestream, where he commented on the bearish momentum that swept the market on Monday. He emphasized that when there’s “blood on the streets,” it is the best time to buy crypto assets.

For context, on exchanges like Binance, the price of XRP dropped by over 35%, from an intraday high of $2.80 to as low as $1.77. Similarly, Bitcoin dipped from near $100K to just above $91K. Likewise, Ethereum came very close to losing the $2,000 mark amid the bearish pressure.

Capitalizing on the Dip for Potential Gains

Before announcing his strategic trading moves amid the red market, Portnoy pondered why the crypto market had to react to Donald Trump’s tariff impositions on Canada and Mexico, questioning the correlation.

He described the downturn as merely a short-term move that brings significant opportunities to market participants. Portnoy noted that anyone can capitalize on a green market, but when it’s red, the fear of loss scares people away.

However, he urged market participants to strategically buy into the red market for better positioning.

Buying an Additional $1 Million in XRP on the Dip

Portnoy led by example, announcing that he had invested an additional $1 million into XRP during his livestream.

At the time of the disclosure on Monday evening, XRP was in recovery mode. It traded around $2.40, which was still a discount compared to its earlier highs in the $3 range.

Indeed, his XRP purchase proved strategic and is already paying off significantly, as the price of XRP has continued to rise since the announcement.

At press time, XRP is trading at $2.60, boasting an 11% gain. Notably, XRP had reached an intraday high of $2.78 before retracing slightly. When considering the lows at $1.77 from yesterday, this implies a massive rebound of 47%.

Notably, Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, has publicly disclosed his bullish perspective on XRP more than once. Previously, he shared a GIF of XRP “going to the moon” on X, signaling his belief in a dramatic rise in XRP’s price.

Portnoy, who has 3.4 million followers on X, previously revealed holding about $1.3 million in XRP. This earned him recognition in the XRP community as an “official member” of the “XRP Army.”

With his latest $1 million commitment to XRP, his disclosed XRP holdings now stand at around $2.3 million.

Financial Analyst Says Owning 0.1 Bitcoin Could Position Your Family For Generational Wealth: Here’s How

0

Financial analyst Rajat Soni emphasized that only 21 million Bitcoin tokens exist, making 0.1 BTC a scarce asset that could secure generational wealth.

Bitcoin and other major crypto assets recovered on Tuesday as market sentiment improved. The rally followed an announcement from U.S. President Donald Trump, who delayed the implementation of new tariffs on Canada and Mexico. This decision renewed investor confidence, leading to a strong rebound in crypto prices.

Following the news, Bitcoin briefly surpassed $100,000 before stabilizing around $99,420 at press time.

The Case for Holding 0.1 Bitcoin

As Bitcoin’s value continues to rise, financial analysts have emphasized the potential long-term benefits of holding even small amounts. Chartered Financial Analyst Rajat Soni recently highlighted the significance of owning 0.1 Bitcoin.

He noted that with Bitcoin’s capped supply of 21 million coins, acquiring a fraction of the asset could position individuals for long-term financial stability.

At current market prices, 0.1 BTC is valued at approximately $9,939.50. If Bitcoin reaches $1 million, this amount would be worth $100,000.

Meanwhile, at a price of $5 million per Bitcoin, 0.1 BTC would equate to $500,000, while a $13 million valuation would push its worth to $1.3 million. Notably, prominent industry figures have predicted that these price levels could be attainable in the future.

Industry Figures Projecting Million-dollar Bitcoin Price

For instance, in December, Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, expressed confidence that Bitcoin would eventually reach $1 million.

At the Bitcoin MENA Conference in Abu Dhabi, he described the asset as a financial revolution transforming how he managed company treasury operations and transactions.

Investment strategist Lyn Alden also predicted Bitcoin could trade at $1 million per coin within the next decade. Alden cited the growing adoption of Bitcoin as a digital asset and store of value as key factors supporting this price projection.

She agreed with Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood’s $1 million target but suggested that Wood’s 2030 timeline was too aggressive. Instead, Alden pointed to a more feasible estimate by 2035.

Could Bitcoin Reach $5M & $13M?

Further bullish predictions have come from MicroStrategy Chairman Michael Saylor, who identified three catalysts that could propel Bitcoin to $5 million.

These include a Bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund (ETF), updated fair value accounting rules from the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and the integration of Bitcoin custody and lending services by banks.

Additionally, in July 2024, Saylor made a more ambitious forecast, stating that Bitcoin could eventually be worth $13 million. He detailed this outlook at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, explaining that his estimate was based on the Bitcoin24 model, an open-source tool used to simulate Bitcoin’s future value based on various adoption scenarios.

He projected that Bitcoin could reach this level by 2045, assuming an annual growth rate of 20%, down from its current 60%, with an average annual return of 29% over the next 21 years.

Ethereum Bulls Crumble Again: Is $2,224 the Next Stop?

As Ethereum marks another failed attempt at a bullish recovery, will the decline continue below $2,665?

With a minor recovery in the crypto market last night, Bitcoin reclaimed $100,000, and Ethereum managed to overcome the massive downturn yesterday. However, the bulls failed to sustain the recovery run as Bitcoin dropped back below the $100,000 mark.

Amid increasing volatility in the crypto market, Ethereum continues its downtrend with an intraday pullback, falling below the $2,700 mark. Will Ethereum close below the $2,665 support level? Let’s explore.

Ethereum Price Analysis: Key Levels to Watch

In the daily chart, the Ethereum price trend reveals a strong bearish candle closing under the $3,000 psychological support. This was followed by a long-tailed hammer candle reflecting the bullish fightback after creating a 24-hour low at $2,150.

COINBASE:ETHUSD Chart Image by Trojan69420

However, the intraday pullback drops the Ethereum price back under $2,700. Currently, Ethereum creates another bearish engulfing candle posing a threat over the 23.6% Fibonacci support level at $2,665.

With the bearish engulfing candle, Ethereum continues to stretch the lower Bollinger band, prolonging the bearish trend. Furthermore, the up and down volume reveals a significant surge in bearish volumes.

The downfall is expected to continue as the broader market remains volatile and the trade war between the U.S. and the world continues.

Trump Family’s Bold Move: Buying the Ethereum Dip

Amid the increasing volatility and the crypto market crash, Donald Trump’s World Liberty Financial has made a profound repositioning. The fund has moved $307.41 million in eight different assets to Coinbase.

This comes as part of treasury management and business operations. After the repositioning, the fund has unstaked 19,423 Lido Staked Ethereum to Ethereum and continued to purchase 1,826 ETH worth nearly $505 million.

Currently, World Liberty Financial holds $96.62 million in various assets across nine different wallets. Most of the project’s investment remains in ETH, worth nearly $212.6 million, followed by Wrapped Bitcoin, the second biggest asset worth $52.7 million.

Meanwhile, Eric Trump, the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, has extended his bullish opinion on Ethereum. In his recent X post, Eric expressed that the dip offers the best opportunity to buy ETH.

“It is a great time to add Ethereum. You can thank me later,” he said. This suggests the Trump family may be buying the dip in Ethereum.

Renewed Institutional Interest with $23M in ETF Inflows

Along with support from Donald Trump’s family, institutional interest in Ethereum has resurfaced. On February 3, the Ethereum ETFs recorded a net inflow of $83.6 million.

Fidelity purchased $49.7 million worth of ETH, becoming the biggest purchaser for the day. Grayscale Mini Ethereum Trust recorded an inflow of $15.9 million, and Grayscale Ethereum ETF acquired $12.8 million worth of Ethereum.

Ethereum Key Price Targets

Despite the growing support from the Trump family and ETFs, Ethereum’s price analysis reveals growing bearish pressure. If Ethereum holds above the 23.6% Fibonacci level at $2,665, a potential reversal could retest the $3,000 psychological mark.

However, a failure to do so will likely retest the $2,224 support level.

Eric Trump Promotes Ethereum, Says Now is the Best Time to Buy

0

Donald Trump’s first son, Eric Trump, recently nudged investors to buy Ethereum amid the latest on-chain activity from the Trump-inspired WLFI.

Ethereum has been largely unimpressive this bull cycle, barely mirroring the broader market bullish momentum. The second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap recorded a second consecutive monthly loss in January, playing contrarian to the upward market disposition of assets like Bitcoin and XRP.

Nonetheless, Eric Trump and World Liberty Financial (WLFI) continue to show interest. The latter, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol inspired by President Donald Trump, has continued to stack the altcoin king both for operational purposes and expectations that the asset would regain bullish traction.

Ethereum Rebounds Mildly

In a tweet late Monday, Eric Trump pitched the second-largest crypto asset to an audience of over five million individuals. He nudged market users to acquire Ethereum following its underwhelming market performance, stating that, in his opinion, this phase is the best time to stack the token.

Meanwhile, Max Keiser, the Bitcoin advisor to El Salvador’s president Nayib Bukele, added spice to Eric Trump’s Ethereum pitch. In response to the tweet, he joked that Trump’s first son promotes unregistered security, reminiscing on Ether’s initial regulatory hurdle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Notably, the endorsement coincided with an impressive Ethereum comeback. The high-caliber asset bounced from as low as $2,152, appreciating over 33%, to close at $2,879.

WLFI Responds to Concerns Following Funds Shuffle

While Eric Trump promoted Ethereum, WLFI was busy expanding its liquid stash of the asset. Data from Arkham shows that the DeFi protocol unstaked 19,423 staked-wrapped Ether on Monday and bought another 1,826 ETH ($5 million).

Nonetheless, bullish sentiments from the purchase quickly went south after the DeFi protocol’s multi-sig address moved significant amounts of its held Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Wrapped Ethereum to new addresses.

Arkham shared that WLFI’s portfolio meteorically dropped from around $400 million to $90 million, raising concerns among the crypto community. Speculations of a sell-off dominated the discussion, as a chunk of the transactions involved a shift to the Coinbase Prime address.

Meanwhile, the project quickly responded to the growing speculation, reassuring users that the shuffle was not a precursor to a sell-off. WLFI tweeted that it was routine and a simple stash reallocation for business purposes.

The WLFI address shifted roughly $164 million worth of wrapped Ethereum, $64 million in Ethereum, and other assets like AAVE, ONDO, MOVE, ENA, and LINK.

Expert Predicts XRP Rise Will Make Bitcoin Post-ETF Surge Look Like Child’s Play

0

Some market commentators believe that XRP price performance post ETF approval could make Bitcoin’s surge look like “child’s play.”

Notably, nine applications for XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are currently under review by the U.S. SEC. In the last quarter of 2024, five asset managers, including Bitwise and WisdomTree, submitted applications for an XRP ETF.

The momentum carried into the new year, with four more asset management firms joining the race. The most prominent names entering the competition include Grayscale and CoinShares.

Meanwhile, an insider hint from FOX Business News has suggested that the crypto community could see heightened activity around XRP ETF filings this week. Based on this, some speculate that BlackRock may be joining the momentum.

Now, market participants are seeing significant parallels between what’s coming for XRP and the situation that unfolded for Bitcoin.

Recall that there was a massive frenzy around Bitcoin spot ETF filings before approval. Financial giants that sought Bitcoin spot ETFs included BlackRock, Fidelity, Bitwise, WisdomTree, and seven others.

By January 10, 2024, the SEC granted accelerated approval for all 11 Bitcoin spot ETF filings. Now, XRP is following a similar path, with XRP ETF filings being submitted one after another.

In a tweet, “Digital Asset Investor,” a prominent influencer in the XRP community, expressed that the eventual launch of an XRP ETF, combined with the resolution of the Ripple lawsuit, would make Bitcoin’s appreciation post-ETF launch seem like child’s play.

“No digital asset is more coiled than XRP,” he said.

Bitcoin Price Post-ETF Approval

For context, on the date of Bitcoin ETF approval, Bitcoin traded at a low of $44,483. In the subsequent weeks, specifically in March 2024, Bitcoin peaked at $73,750.

Meanwhile, a year after the Bitcoin ETF approvals, ETF issuers had accumulated over 1.1 million BTC, and the price of Bitcoin responded to this buying pressure.

Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $109,114 last month, marking a 145% increase from the price it traded at before ETFs were introduced.

Meanwhile, XRP proponents believe that XRP’s price could perform even better. They argue that XRP has several catalysts in its narrative that could drive its price higher post-ETF approval.

XRP Potential Valuation Post-ETF Approval

Notably, according to an estimate by JPMorgan, the XRP ETF could attract $4 to $8 billion in new investments within six months of approval.

A separate analysis by The Crypto Basic suggested that XRP’s price could reach $23, or a market cap of $1.3 trillion if it records $500 million daily ETF investments over one year.

Other independent commentators, such as Ben Armstrong, have previously suggested that the XRP ETF and Ripple’s eventual IPO could drive XRP’s value to $25.

While these estimations remain speculative, it remains to be seen whether XRP can indeed surpass the success of Bitcoin spot ETFs. For context, Bitcoin’s spot ETF, especially that of BlackRock, is one of the most successful ETFs in history, far outpacing the performance of gold ETFs.

Michael Saylor Shift to XRP Gains Attention After Former Twitter CEO Shares Clip

0

A video clip of Michael Saylor shared by Jack Dorsey, the founder and former CEO of Twitter, has triggered speculation among XRP proponents.

The four-second AI-generated video, posted on Primal—a decentralized social platform built on the Nostr protocol—features MicroStrategy Chairman and Bitcoin advocate Michael Saylor.

For context, the clip initially shows Saylor with Bitcoin-themed visuals, including war-like regalia. However, as he jumps, the Bitcoin bull himself morphs into an XRP coin.

Speculation Over Jack Dorsey’s Intentions

Dorsey’s post has led to discussions about whether he believes Saylor might shift his allegiance from Bitcoin to XRP. The speculation comes at a time when tensions between Bitcoin maximalists and the XRP community have been rising.

Notably, Scott Melker suggested that XRP might secure a spot in a proposed digital asset reserve under President Donald Trump’s administration. Previously, many expected this reserve to contain only Bitcoin, making the possible inclusion of XRP controversial among Bitcoin supporters.

Mr. Intuitive, a well-known figure in the XRP community, was among the first to highlight the clip. Taking to X, he asked whether Dorsey had indeed shared a video of Saylor transforming into an XRP symbol.

Notably, a quick check carried out by The Crypto Basic confirmed that the former Twitter CEO shared the video on Sunday, Feb. 2, and has kept it up at press time. Several XRP proponents believe this is important and could indicate a change in Dorsey’s opinion of XRP.

It bears mentioning that Dorsey has not made any public statements regarding XRP. While the Twitter founder is a strong advocate of decentralization and censorship resistance, he has only ever shown support for Bitcoin, often calling it the internet’s native currency.

In addition, Dorsey has also been vocal about his skepticism toward other crypto assets, including Ethereum, which he views as controlled by venture capitalists.

Attorney John Deaton Reacts

Meanwhile, Abdullah “Abs” Nassif, host of the Good Morning Crypto show, also highlighted the clip. He questioned whether Dorsey’s post showed a deeper message about Saylor’s stance on Bitcoin and XRP.

In response, pro-XRP attorney John Deaton suggested Dorsey’s post was not a positive endorsement of XRP. He noted that Dorsey has always been a staunch Bitcoin advocate and has dismissed other crypto assets as distractions.

Deaton pointed out that Dorsey has criticized Ethereum and Web3, arguing that they are controlled by centralized entities. He argued that the video was not a sign of support for XRP, asserting that Dorsey might be making a statement about Saylor.

According to Deaton, the video could imply that Saylor is no different from XRP or Ripple, which he has previously criticized. For context, in an interview last year, Saylor confirmed that he would not recommend XRP as an investment to clients, arguing that there is a counterparty risk and implying that XRP is a security.

El Salvador Expands Bitcoin Reserves with 11 BTC, Holdings Reach 6,067 BTC: President Bukele Reacts

0

El Salvador has further expanded its Bitcoin reserves with a recent acquisition of 11 BTC, according to on-chain data.

The purchase occurred on February 3, coinciding with Bitcoin’s rebound above the $100,000 mark. Based on this price, the acquisition is valued at approximately $1.1 million. Notably, the latest transaction brings the country’s total Bitcoin holdings to 6,067 BTC, continuing its steady accumulation strategy.

Steady Bitcoin Accumulation

Historical transaction data shows El Salvador’s ongoing Bitcoin acquisition strategy. Over the past few days, multiple transactions of 1 BTC each, valued between $98,000 and $104,000, have been sent to the nation’s cold wallet.

Notably, this latest acquisition mirrors a prior 11 BTC purchase made approximately two weeks ago. Exactly 2 weeks ago, an identical transaction of 11 BTC was recorded.

Amid the latest purchase, President Nayib Bukele took to social media platform X to highlight to the acquisition with the “eyes” emoji, a gesture often interpreted as signaling attention or anticipation.

This reaction follows his long-standing advocacy for Bitcoin. El Salvador was the first country to adopt crypto as a legal tender. However, the country has since made changes to the legal framework governing BTC use.

Legal Tender Status and IMF Influence

El Salvador initially recognized Bitcoin as an official currency, making it acceptable for business payments in BTC. However, recent legislative changes have redefined its status.

On January 30, the Salvadoran Parliament approved reforms to the Bitcoin Law, effectively removing Bitcoin’s classification as legal tender. Under the revised law, Bitcoin use is now voluntary rather than obligatory and can no longer be used for tax payments.

The reforms follow nearly two years of pressure from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which conditioned a $1.4 billion loan on mitigating risks associated with Bitcoin.

The Salvadoran government had until the end of January to implement these changes if it wished to secure financial aid. Lawmakers modified six articles and repealed three from the original legislation. President Bukele has remained silent regarding the changes despite his usual engagement on social media.

Bitfinex Bitcoin Mining Investment Under Bukele

Meanwhile, Bitfinex Securities has announced plans to introduce the Blockstream Mining Note 2 (BMN2) under El Salvador’s digital asset regulations.

The financial product aims to expose investors to Bitcoin mining, following the success of its predecessor, BMN1, which was issued in Luxembourg.

BMN1 generated significant returns over three years, distributing over 1,212 BTC to investors, valued at approximately $70.7 million, with a 108% return on capital.

The upcoming BMN2 issuance in El Salvador will to offer broader accessibility due to the nation’s regulatory framework. Bitfinex Securities plans to list BMN2 within the first quarter of the year, facilitating direct buying and selling of the tokenized financial instrument.

Bitcoin Rebounds Above $100K as Donald Trump Orders Creation of Sovereign Wealth Fund

0

The price of Bitcoin rebounded above the $100,000 mark after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the creation of a sovereign wealth fund that could potentially hold BTC.

According to a White House press release, Trump charged the Treasury and Commerce departments with developing a plan within 90 days to create a sovereign wealth fund.

Sovereign Wealth Fund Plan

This plan will be developed by the Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Treasury, and other government officials. They include the Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and the Director of the Office for Management and Budget.

Notably, the plan will outline the sovereign wealth fund’s economic benefits, investment strategies, and governance structure. This initiative aims to enhance the United States’ long-term economic competitiveness while promoting fiscal sustainability. It will also boost the stewardship of U.S. wealth by leveraging the country’s vast assets.

Once created, the fund could help the U.S. mitigate tax burdens on residents, strengthen the country’s global leadership, and promote its economic security.

Similar Efforts

The press release acknowledged that several countries and some U.S. States have already established sovereign wealth funds. Specifically, it mentioned the United Kingdom among the countries currently developing this fund.

Interestingly, the announcement disclosed that 23 states in the U.S. are collectively managing $332 billion in assets across their respective sovereign wealth funds.

Expectedly, the proposal has been applauded by crypto enthusiasts and policymakers, with Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) characterizing the order as a ‘big deal.’

Potential Bitcoin Exposure

For context, a sovereign wealth fund is a state-owned investment fund used to manage a country’s investments and assets. Although the order did not explicitly mention Bitcoin, several crypto proponents speculate that it could potentially create a way for the United States government to buy and hold digital assets like BTC.

Amid this speculation, the price of Bitcoin, which initially plunged below $92,000 on Sunday night, rebounded above the $100,000 level to an intraday high of $102,514. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $100,260 per BTC, with a 24-hour gain of 5.61%.

US Sovereign Wealth Fund Could Launch in 12 Months

It is worth noting that Trump signed the executive order in the presence of key government officials, such as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Commenting on the development, Bessent projected that he expects the U.S. to create the sovereign wealth fund within a year. He emphasized that the Trump administration will help the American people manage the country’s assets via the fund, which he claims will hold several U.S.-based liquid assets.

Whether the fund will invest in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin remains to be seen. In the meantime, the U.S. government is currently evaluating whether to create a national digital asset reserve that could hold Bitcoin and other cryptos like XRP.

The analysis began last month after Trump signed an executive order creating a working group for the digital asset market.

Expert Says This is the Final Dip to Buy XRP Below $3

0

Crypto expert Zach Rector advises investors to seize what he believes is the final opportunity to buy XRP below $3.

XRP recently faced significant bearish pressure that caused it not only to lose the $3 mark but also to drop into the $1 price range. Specifically, earlier today, XRP traded as low as $1.77.

While it has since recovered slightly to $2.36 at press time, its 24-hour performance still shows a substantial 15% loss.

Though this performance may discourage holders, analysts like Zach Rector are encouraging market participants to view it as a prime opportunity to buy XRP at a discount.

Final Dip to Buy XRP Below $3

In a recent commentary, Rector drew parallels with previous market behavior. Specifically, he noted that XRP previously dipped below $2 three times before soaring to $3.40.

He believes this recent dip below $3 is the final backtest, creating a prime opportunity for investors to accumulate before a potential surge to new all-time highs.

Specifically, Rector predicts that the next rebound could send XRP to $4, urging accumulation while it remains relatively cheap.

Rector also presented insights into the broader financial scene. He suggested that precious metals like gold and silver are poised for significant growth. In particular, he noted Silver could experience a major rise to $50, driven by factors such as the ongoing trade war.

Meanwhile, he labeled traditional markets like real estate and stocks as overvalued, with unreliable economic data. Rector believes the XRP market offers a brighter future and urges investors not to miss out on the chance to accumulate before the next major move.

Other Analysts Calling for XRP Dip Buying

Notably, other market analysts share Rector’s outlook on the current state of the XRP market. In a tweet, technical analyst Steph reminded XRP holders that the 2017 XRP bull run experienced three “brutal” shakeouts. Yet, according to him, XRP still saw an incredible 110,000% gain.

Steph referenced a historical chart showing that XRP dipped by 24%, 63%, and a more significant 68% between 2017 and 2018 before ultimately reaching an all-time high.

Image
XRP historical chart by Steph

For context, from XRP’s recent peak of $3.40 to its most recent low of $1.775, the asset dropped significantly by 48%. Commenting on this, Steph remarked, “Dips don’t end bull runs; they fuel them.”

In a separate commentary, analyst Michael also recommended accumulating XRP at its current price. According to him, the chances of XRP surpassing Ethereum are now even higher.

“You should aim to accumulate XRP in the coming weeks,” he said.

He further emphasized that XRP remains the altcoin he is most confident in holding this year.
