Top Analyst Says Dogecoin Set for $4 Rally After Completing Major 58% Correction

0

Multiple analysts argue Dogecoin is poised to begin its next leg up as historical corrections align once more.

Dogecoin has seen a notable price movement, surging over 6% following President Donald Trump’s decision to halt tariffs on Canada and Mexico.

Despite this recovery, Dogecoin still trades with a significant 21% discount from its weekly highs. At press time, Dogecoin is changing hands at $0.2623.

Amid the recent fluctuation and resurgence, analysts are closely monitoring Dogecoin’s price movements, with a focus on its historical bull cycles. A recent analysis by an X user, Kevin, highlights a comparison between Dogecoin’s recent correction and one from the previous cycle.

Specifically, Kevin argued that Dogecoin has completed its second major cycle dip, setting the stage for a major rebound.

Dogecoin Historical Patterns Aligning with Promising Upside

The previous bull cycle from 2020 to 2021 experienced two major corrections before an upward surge. Similarly, per Kevin, the current bull cycle from 2023 to 2025 appears to be following a similar pattern.

The first major correction in the previous cycle saw a 56% drop, whereas the current cycle recorded a steeper 65% decline, falling by $0.15029 from local highs. Notably, this occurred between March and September 2024.

Meanwhile, the second major correction in the previous cycle registered a 56.8% drop. In the current cycle, Dogecon’s second major pullback, the most recent case, saw a 58.18% decline, plummeting by $0.28104 from local highs.

These similarities suggest that Dogecoin’s trajectory could mirror past price movements. The analyst indicated that Dogecoin could see a strong recovery if all goes well with Bitcoin. Notably, he has set his sight at lofty heights, around the $4 price for Dogecoin.

Views of Other Market Watchers For Dogecoin Rebound

Further, another market observer, using the pseudonym Wizz, shared an outlook on Dogecoin’s future price movements. The analyst emphasized that a major capitulation event could be unfolding, predicting that weak hands would exit the market.

The analysis suggested that Dogecoin could surpass the $1 mark, reinforcing bullish sentiment among market participants.

Meanwhile, another commentator, Trader Tardigrade, identified a key momentum shift in Dogecoin’s price action. Observing a four-hour timeframe, the trader highlighted a bullish MACD crossover, a widely recognized technical indicator that signals a potential uptrend.

In particular, Tardigrade noted that the crossover suggests Dogecoin is gaining upward momentum and could be on the verge of another bull run.

A separate analysis from January 31 reaffirmed expectations of a significant rally for Dogecoin. The analysis projected that DOGE could reach $3.80 in this market cycle.

The chart analysis indicated that Dogecoin historically surpassed its previous cycle highs after breaking key resistance levels. He anticipated that DOGE would soon follow a similar trajectory. He speculated its value could climb over 1,000% from the price recorded during his analysis.

XRP in Focus as Japan’s SBI Remit Partners with Shinsei Bank to Enhance International Money Transfers

0

SBI Remit and SBI Shinsei Bank have announced a new customer referral agreement to improve international money transfer services.

Yoshitaka Kitao, President & CEO of SBI Holdings, Inc., called attention to this latest collaboration in a tweet on Monday.

The partnership between these two prominent entities within Japan’s financial landscape will enhance the speed and cost-effectiveness of remittances for their customers.

Notably, the initiative commenced last Friday, January 31. It focuses on delivering a seamless transfer experience for individuals and businesses looking to send money abroad.

Leveraging Ripple and XRP Technology

SBI Remit, a subsidiary of SBI Japan, has been a leading international remittance service provider since 2010. It has secured a reputation for adopting innovative financial technologies to streamline its services.

In particular, the company utilizes Ripple’s distributed ledger technology, which employs XRP to ensure fast and low-cost cross-border payments.

This technology has been a cornerstone of SBI Remit’s operations.  It has helped it remain at the forefront of remittance services by offering secure and efficient money transfers.

In September 2023, SBI Remit launched an XRP-based international remittance service, initially targeting bank accounts in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

Notably, the move was in partnership with Ripple and SBI Ripple Asia. It sought to reduce remittance costs and improve scalability by using XRP as a bridge currency.

In particular, this service enabled faster and cheaper cross-border payments, benefiting regions with high remittance inflows.

At the time, SBI Remit disclosed plans to expand the service to more countries and include corporate and inbound transactions in the future.

New Collaboration with SBI Shinsei Bank

Notably, SBI Shinsei Bank actively engages in projects like Project Agora, led by the Bank for International Settlements and global central banks.

The initiative enhances cross-border transactions through tokenization to streamline international remittance operations. Notably, Shinsei Bank intends to leverage the SBI Group’s collaboration for more efficient business operations.

According to the 2022 Swift News report from Sibos, 56% of small and medium-sized enterprises worldwide that conduct international remittances rely on fintech companies alongside banks.

For context, this trend suggests that future international remittance operations in Japan may see more partnerships between banks and money transfer companies.

Looking ahead, SBI Shinsei Bank and SBI Remit plan to establish a model for collaboration between banks and money transfer providers.

They aim to expand services with a customer-first approach, growing their customer base and contributing to regional revitalization through partnerships with local financial institutions.

Here’s Dogecoin Price If Solana’s Market Cap Grows 5x

0

Dogecoin could surge to unprecedented highs if it follows Solana price movements as the latter’s market cap grows fivefold from its current valuation.

Comparing Dogecoin to other caliber assets, the light-hearted doggy-themed meme coin has not quite hit the ground running this year. After an impressive outing in Q4 2024, the asset has lost bullish steam.

Notwithstanding, Dogecoin remains a top contender for impressive gains in the bull market. The leading meme coin has been in the midst of both realistic and overly ambitious price predictions, including an over 8,600% surge to $23.

Amid the bullish long-term outlook, The Crypto Basic has analyzed Dogecoin’s possible price if it closely follows trails Solana’s price movements during a market rally.

Solana’s Price If Its Market Cap Surges Fivefold

For context, Solana’s current market cap per CoinMarketCap stands at $100.35 billion, while its circulating supply is currently 487.073 million. Hence, a 500% appreciation will culminate in a market cap of $602.1 billion, almost double Ethereum’s current valuation.

Notably, at this hypothetical market cap of $602.1 billion and its current circulating supply of 487.073 million, Solana will trade at $1,236 per coin should it claim this valuation.

Dogecoin’s Price if Its Mirror’s Solana’s 5x Surge

Interestingly, data from CoinMarketCap indicates that Dogecoin has often followed Solana’s price path during market drops and upswings. For context, over the past seven days, both assets have moved alongside each other amid the ongoing market uncertainties.

Dogecoin Price Moves Alongside Solana

If this pattern persists and SOL records a 5x surge, DOGE could see a comparative rally. At the current market cap of $39 billion, a fivefold upsurge will see Dogecoin’s valuation surge to $234 billion, placing it second in the cap log if other assets remain stagnant. Furthermore, with a circulating supply of 147.903 billion, the pioneering meme coin will hit $1.5821 per coin.

Meanwhile, this prediction seems feasible, as several analyses have suggested Dogecoin will hit the price valuation this cycle. For instance, market expert Trader Tardigrade speculated in a recent commentary that Dogecoin would trade above $1, calling the level a reasonable target.

Here is Shiba Inu Price if SHIB Market Cap Reaches $150B

0

Shiba Inu recent growth above the $0.000016 mark triggers speculations about a potential surge to a market capitalization of $150 billion.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) is gradually recovering from the recent market turbulence that wreaked havoc on crypto prices. Following its devastating collapse earlier this week, Shiba Inu plunged to a multi-month low of $0.0000123 on Sunday night.

$150B Market Cap Speculation Emerge Amid SHIB Latest Rally

However, the plunge did not last as SHIB recovered most of its losses, soaring above the $0.000016 mark today and reaching a daily high of $0.00001691.

This rally occurred after President Donald Trump ordered the creation of a sovereign wealth fund, which could potentially prompt the United States government to invest in crypto assets like Bitcoin (BTC).

Although SHIB has retraced below the $0.000016 mark, its recent rally triggered speculation within the community, with some investors speculating that the asset could attain a market cap of $150 billion someday.

Here is Shiba Inu’s Price at $150B Market Cap

Consequently, The Crypto Basic analyzes how much Shiba Inu would be worth if it eventually achieved this milestone. At press time, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00001532, up 8.19% over the past 24 hours. Conversely, the token remains down by 19.34% over the past week and 35.69% over the past month.

SHIBUSDT 2025 02 04 09 30 07
SHIBUSDT 2025 02 04 09 30 07

Shiba Inu ranks as the 18th biggest cryptocurrency, with a market capitalization of $9.02 billion. The $150 billion projection surpasses Shiba Inu’s peak market cap of $45 billion, registered on October 28, 2021, when Shiba Inu hit an all-time high price of $0.00008616.

Shiba Inu’s market cap must rise by 1,562% from its current valuation to reach the projected $150 billion target. At a $150 billion market cap, Shiba Inu will eliminate one of the zeros after its decimal and trade at $0.00025455. This estimation assumes that the circulating supply of Shiba Inu remains stable at 589.25 trillion.

Potential Timelines for Shiba Inu Surge to $0.00025

The significance of the $0.00025 mark cannot be overemphasized. Achieving this feat will eventually eliminate a zero from Shiba Inu’s price, potentially paving the way for greater surge.

Interestingly, the $0.00025 projection is not in isolation, as other market observers have also issued similar predictions for SHIB. Last year, The Crypto Basic estimated that Shiba Inu could surge to $0.000254 if it maintains its correlation with Ethereum and ETH eventually hits a price target of $50,000.

According to Changelly experts, Shiba Inu will rise to $0.0000256 by August 2031, six years from now. However, popular prediction platform Telegaon disagreed with this forecast, noting that SHIB will clinch the $0.00025 target sooner, specifically by 2028.

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu could attain this feat earlier than the projected timelines set by Telegaon and Changelly. However, this will require the alignment of several factors, ranging from more SHIB burns to widespread adoption.

Solana Battles at $200: Is an Extended Downfall to $175 on the Horizon?

As Solana struggles near the $200 psychological mark, is a downfall to $175 inevitable?

While Bitcoin struggles near the $100,000 mark, the short-term recovery in altcoins is facing setbacks. Failing to sustain the recovery momentum, altcoins like Solana are experiencing sudden reversals, resulting in quick turnarounds.

SOL’s price trend shows a bullish failure, leading to a Morning Star pattern and a drop near the $200 psychological mark. As Solana bulls struggle to hold the $200 level, will a second bearish wave trigger an extended downfall?

Solana Technical Analysis: Rising Bearish Signs

In the 4-hour chart, the SOL price trend reveals lower rejections to reclaim the $200 psychological mark. Avoiding a closing price under the $197 support, the recovery run in Solana peaked at a 24-hour high of $220.

COINBASE:SOLUSD Chart Image by Trojan69420

However, a bearish engulfing candle followed through. This resulted in a price drop of $205, marking a 4.5% drop in the last 4 hours.

With this quick turnaround, Solana failed to surpass the 38.20% Fibonacci level. Furthermore, it failed to breach the red line of the super trend indicator, highlighting the prolonged bearish trend.

Additionally, the stochastic RSI line has given a bearish crossover in the overbought territory. Hence, the technical signals and candlestick patterns hint at an extended downfall in Solana.

Derivatives Market: Bullish Sentiment Rise

Despite strong selling signals in the daily price chart, the derivatives market witnessed a minor increase in bullish speculations. The funding rate has recovered significantly from -0.0611% to 0.0013%, indicating a key turnaround among traders to hold bullish positions.

Solana Derivatives

Furthermore, the number of bullish positions has slightly increased as the long-to-short ratio rises to 0.9759. However, the ratio still highlights a slightly greater number of bearish positions at play.

On the other hand, the open interest in Solana derivatives has dropped by 0.71%, sustaining at $5.5 billion.

In sum, the recovery has fueled bullish sentiments among Solana traders, reflected by the improved funding rate and long-to-short ratio.

Solana Network Growth With Rising Cross-Chain Activity

Along with the bullish speculations, the Solana network witnesses growth in cross-chain activity. In a recent X post, SolanaFloor reported that Solana experienced over $1.45 billion bridged from other chains in January. This highlights the growing confidence and adoption of the Solana ecosystem by developers.

Furthermore, in a recent interview, CavemanDhirk, co-founder of DeFiTuna, stated they built on Solana for three simple reasons: faster, better, and easier.

While Ethereum had a head start and continues to dominate the field, a shift from Ethereum to Solana is likely as more developers explore its potential.

Can Solana Recover, or Will Bears Dominate?

With the price action analysis maintaining a bearish approach, the rising bullish fundamental signals project a potential long-term recovery.

However, the Fibonacci levels paint crucial support at $175, which will likely be tested if buyers fail to hold the position at the $200 psychological mark.

On the flip side, a lower price rejection crossing above the 38.20% Fibonacci level will serve as a key bullish signal. If a breakout rally occurs, the uptrend in Solana could surge to $243.50, near the 61.80% Fibonacci level.

Bitcoin Analysis: Will BTC Price Rebound to $108K?

With Bitcoin rising back to hit $100k for the sixth time, will BTC rally to challenge the $108k resistance zone?

As the total crypto market cap stabilizes near $3.19 trillion, Bitcoin is fluctuating back near the $100,000 mark. Currently, BTC trades at a market price of $99,174, with an intraday gain of 2.25%.

Despite the recovery last night, which helped relieve bearish pressure, institutional support remains weak. Will this result in another drop in Bitcoin to the $90,000 level? Let’s explore.

Bitcoin Technical Overview

In the daily chart, the BTC price trend reveals a strong bullish angle, with a long tail, as BTC’s price bounces off from the $91,530 level. The 24-hour high registered at $102,569.

BITSTAMP:BTCUSD Chart Image by Trojan69420

However, the bullish revival fails to hold the momentum as it breaks below the $100,000 mark. Nevertheless, despite the increased volatility, BTC’s price trend maintains a positive outlook as per the super trend indicator.

This suggests that Bitcoin may challenge the previous supply zone at $108,000. Additionally, the trend strength index has dropped into negative territory.

Institutional Inflows Decline Amid Rising Fear

Despite several bullish signals on the daily price chart, institutional investments in Bitcoin fail to resurface. The daily total net inflow of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on February 3 recorded a negative $234.54 million.

Bitcoin ETFs
Bitcoin ETFs

The sole purchaser of Bitcoin remains the Grayscale GBTC ETF fund, with an inflow of $8.02 million. The majority of offloading came from Fidelity, which dumped $177.64 million worth of BTC, followed by outflows of $50.75 million from ARK and 21Shares.

Similarly, VanEck and Bitwise saw outflows of $8.63 million and $5.54 million, respectively. The remaining six Bitcoin ETF funds recorded no net inflow.

Will Bitcoin Rise Again?

With the lower price rejection sustaining a positive trend above the local support trend line and Bitcoin reclaiming the $100,000 mark for the sixth time, Bitcoin will likely continue its uptrend.

Moreover, as the trend strength index gradually reverses, Bitcoin may challenge the $108,000 supply zone.

Based on previous analysis, this could propel Bitcoin to $112,000, with a further price target of $122,000. On the flip side, key support for Bitcoin remains near the $95,000 level, with additional support at the local trend line near $93,500.

Trump Crypto Czar and Lawmakers Set to Detail U.S. Crypto Policy Approach

0

Trump’s Crypto Czar, David Sacks, is set to lead a press conference to outline how the administration will work with Congress to make the U.S. a leader in the digital asset ecosystem.

From public statements to the crypto executive order establishing a crypto working group, President Donald Trump has made it clear that he wants the U.S. to lead the way in crypto innovation.

Now, market participants may be set to gain a clearer insight into the Trump administration’s policy approach to crypto.

Crypto Press Conference

Trump’s crypto czar, David Sacks, is set to lead a press conference to outline how the administration will work with Congress to make the U.S. a leader in the digital asset ecosystem.

Per a recently published memo, the press conference slated for 2:30 pm ET today, Tuesday, February 4, will feature a slew of Republican lawmakers leading key legislative committees.

This includes Senator Tim Scott, Chair of the Senate Banking Committee; Senator John Boozman, Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee; Representative French Hill, Chair of the House Financial Services Committee; and Representative G.T. Thompson, Chair of the House Agriculture Committee.

Notably, the committees headed by these lawmakers play a major role in overseeing several market regulators, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

The Trump Crypto Working Group

As head of the Trump administration’s crypto working group, Sacks is tasked with working with the heads of these regulatory agencies to present recommendations on crypto regulations, which will likely come before the aforementioned legislative committees.

The working group has until July 2025 to present Trump with its recommendations, as it was given a 180-day timeline. In line with this timeline, the group is scheduled to identify all crypto-related regulations, guidance, and orders by the end of February 2025.

By the end of March 2025, each agency within the working group is supposed to have submitted a report to Sacks on whether and how these regulations should be amended.

Ahead of Tuesday’s press conference, industry participants continue to call for the establishment of a Bitcoin strategic reserve, which would see the U.S. government become an active buyer of the leading digital asset.

Speculation around such a development has been stoked by Trump’s recent executive order to establish a sovereign wealth fund.

Here is How XRP Holders Can Use XRPL AMM as Hedging Strategy

0

XRPL AMMs could offer a means for XRP proponents to hedge their trading and investment bets, according to Anodos founder Panos Mekras.

Following the introduction of the automated market maker (AMM) functionality on the XRP Ledger nearly a year ago, much of the focus has been on how it could help bolster liquidity for DeFi while also allowing users who choose to provide liquidity to earn from fees.

Recently, however, a prominent member of the XRP community has highlighted a likely overlooked potential benefit of this new functionality following the implementation of the AMM clawback amendment. The amendment has allowed for the inclusion of regulated stablecoins with clawback feature in XRPL liquidity pools.

A Hedge?

XRPL AMMs could offer a means for XRP community members to hedge their trading and investment bets. This is according to Panos Mekras, co-founder of XRPL-facing software provider Anodos.

The finance expert made this case in a recent X post, premising his view on the concept of impermanent loss.

Impermanent loss is one of the most discussed risks associated with providing liquidity to an AMM. It is a temporary loss that occurs when a pool becomes imbalanced due to price fluctuations of the tokens in the pool. When the pool is imbalanced, the value of tokens within the pool is no longer equal to the value you can withdraw.

It is seen as temporary, as the loss can be recovered if the price returns to its original value. This is why many often recommend that liquidity providers only provide assets they want to earn fees on, not assets they wish to hold, as price fluctuations are par for the course in crypto.

Still, Anodos’ Mekras has suggested that LPs could leverage this perceived risk as part of a sophisticated investment strategy using token/stablecoin pools. The XRPL community recently made support for this type of liquidity pool possible with the AMM clawback amendment, which allowed for the inclusion of regulated stablecoins with clawback features, like RLUSD, in XRPL AMMs.

Using the XRP/RLUSD pair as an example, Mekras highlighted that the pool offered limited exposure to XRP’s upside but also limited exposure to its downside.

Specifically, if XRP’s price soars, liquidity providers will be able to withdraw less XRP but more RLUSD than deposited. At the same time, if XRP’s price crashes, they will be able to get more XRP and less RLUSD. As such, LPs can get value either way.

This value can be used to cover losses from real-time trading positions or investment holdings, Mekras posits.

RLUSD AMM Adoption Soaring

Amid the liquidity, passive income, and hedging benefits of token/stablecoin AMM pairs, RLUSD has seen quick adoption in XRPL AMMs.

In the five days since the AMM clawback amendment went live, at least 68 RLUSD-based liquidity pools have launched per xrpmarket data.

The most popular pool, the XRP/RLUSD pool, has already attracted over $1.4 million in liquidity, with over 280,500 XRP worth over $717,000 to nearly 719,000 RLUSD, worth roughly $713,000.

Diamond-Handed Bitcoin Holder Moves 50 BTC After 15 Years, Turning $3 to $5M

0

Patient miner reaps massive rewards for holding Bitcoin for over a decade after shifting the assets to new addresses two days ago.

Typical market users have a philosophy of buying low and selling high. Considering Bitcoin’s cyclical history, they buy during the bear market and sell the presumed top.

Meanwhile, holding Bitcoin through cycles has proven rewarding, especially considering its history of surpassing previous highs in subsequent bull runs. Interestingly, in the most recent development, a market participant held through three bull and bear cycles, keeping his stash when it was worth almost nothing to when Bitcoin crossed six figures.

15-Years Bitcoin Miner Reawakens to Multi-Millions

Pete Rizzo, Bitcoin Magazine’s editor-in-chief, pointed the crypto community to an individual who held Bitcoin through thick and thin. The unknown user mined 50 BTC 15 years ago when the asset traded at less than $0.1, and he held onto them until Sunday.

Further insight from Mempool shows that the user mined 50 BTC at block height 79743 on September 14, 2010. Notably, at that time, the block reward for confirming a block on the Bitcoin network was 50 BTC, 16 times what it is now.

Bitcoin Miner
Bitcoin Miner

During this period, the reward was worth $3.08, culminating in an average cost of $0.0616. Impressively, the staunch Bitcoin believer held through 2013’s peak at $1,242, 2017’s $19,804, and 2021’s $68,997 until the pioneering crypto asset hit $100,000.

Two days ago, precisely at 17:46 (UTC), the miner shifted 50 BTC, worth $3.08 at the time, to two new addresses at a valuation of about $5 million. This marked a jaw-dropping 162,337,562% growth from what the diamond-handed miner would have sold it for during the time he mined the tokens.

At press time, the two new addresses, “bc1qew” and “bc1qgj,” still held the 20 BTC and 29.9 BTC the miner address transferred to them.

Community Reactions

Meanwhile, the crypto community has applauded the unknown holder’s ardent disposition towards his Bitcoin stash. Specifically, a few comments buttressed three evident qualities: discipline, commitment, and patience.

Nonetheless, there have been similar cases of such insane patience. For instance, The Crypto Basic reported that another miner who held his 50 BTC block reward for 14 years sold his stash last year on Binance for $3.05 million.

XRP vs. Bitcoin: If XRP Control is a Concern, What About MicroStrategy, BlackRock, and BTC Whales

0

A top crypto proponent pushes back against criticism from Bitcoin maximalists who claim XRP is centralized due to Ripple’s involvement.

Tensions between the Bitcoin and XRP communities have skyrocketed recently following reports that the U.S. government is preparing to establish a national digital asset reserve.

Feud Between XRP and Bitcoin Communities

Ripple is advocating for a level playing field that could include XRP and other crypto assets in the reserve alongside BTC. Meanwhile, some Bitcoin proponents claimed that the company was advocating against the premier cryptocurrency. Consequently, they embarked on a FUD campaign, spreading negative narratives about XRP and Ripple.

For instance, Bitcoin maxi Pierre Rochard of Riot Platforms labeled XRP a threat to the national digital asset reserve initiative. Furthermore, he slammed Ripple for undermining Bitcoin’s decentralization ethos through its control over XRP, particularly its large XRP holdings.

According to the latest quarterly report, Ripple remains the largest holder of XRP, with a holding of over 42 billion XRP.

Critic Says Large Bitcoin Holders Pose Centralization Risk for BTC

As this narrative gained momentum, Lester Pyle, a crypto enthusiast, pushed back against the criticism. In a recent tweet, Lester contended that if Bitcoin proponents are worried about Ripple’s control over XRP, they should also be concerned about the potential centralization risk associated with BTC due to its several large holders.

He cited BlackRock, MicroStrategy, Bitcoin pseudonymous founder Satoshi Nakamoto, and other Bitcoin whales. It is common knowledge that these entities hold large amounts of Bitcoin.

While MicroStrategy holds 471,107 BTC as part of its diversification strategy for its corporate treasury, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF holds 582,873.7 BTC.

Additionally, Bitcoin’s pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, owns 1.1 million BTC. In addition to the aforementioned entities, other whales also have large amounts of BTC across different blockchain wallets. Critics see these as contributing to Bitcoin’s potential centralization risk.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin proponents often countered that the percentage of BTC supply these individual entities own is less than 5% of Bitcon’s total supply. This contrasts steeply with Ripple’s nearly 50% supply control over XRP’s max cap.

Yet, Lester declared his support for large Bitcoin and XRP holders, emphasizing that they help to promote both ecosystems rather than harm them.

Furthermore, the user dismissed other concerns about Ripple’s XRP holdings as FUD, urging people to stop spreading negative narratives about the third-biggest cryptocurrency.
