Terra Anchor Developer Says Do Kwon Deliberately Raised Interest From 3.6% to 20% A Week Before Launch

More revelations have continued to emerge about what led to the collapse of TerraUSD (UST), the stable coin linked to TerraForm Labs.

According to a recent report published by Korean media outlet JBTC and shared by Wu Blockchain, Terra’s Anchor designer disclosed that the original interest rate for the company’s Anchor program was initially designed to pay a lower amount to investors compared to what was launched.

However, Do Kwon, the CEO of TerraForm Labs, decided to change everything a week before the initiative launched, as part of an effort to lure more investors to Terra.

Initial Safety Measure

Terra’s core designer referred to as Mr. B in the report, noted that in order to keep UST pegged to the dollar, he and other developers set Terra’s interest rate at 3.6% because all tests above this rate resulted in UST’s collapse prior to the launch.

The core designer added that even the 3.6% ROI was too high; however, he decided to set the interest rate at that amount slightly higher than what traditional financial institutions are paying.

Notably, the rate was reduced because TerraForm Labs, at its initial stage, did not have enough funds to pay out interest to investors.

Kwon Ignored All Warnings

Despite all these considerations and the development of Terra’s Anchor program, the core designer learned a week later that Terra would proceed with the initiative with a whopping 20% ROI.

“Just before the launch, I suggested to CEO Kwon Do-hyeong that the interest rate should be lowered, but it was not accepted,” the developer added.

He further said:

“I foresaw a collapse from the time we designed it. I informed CEO Kwon in advance, but he said he did not listen at all”

Kwon allegedly noted that if the company is unable to pay the 20% to investors, TerraForm Labs would “cut it all,” suggesting that the firm may end the program.

UST fell because the interest rate was too high relative to internal funds, the deficit continue to grow, and the slightest deterioration in market conditions caused it to collapse all at once.

Meanwhile, efforts to get comments from Kwon did not yield positive results.

Not New

This is not the first time Kwon has been accused of being responsible for the collapse of Terra ecosystem tokens. During an investigation last month, a Terra employee disclosed that Kwon proceeded to launch Terra despite the fact that initial testing within the firm failed massively.

It is no longer new that Terra’s ecosystem tokens crashed as a result of the whopping interest rates paid to investors of Terra’s Anchor program.

Cardano IOG Teams Up With Colorado Satellite TV ‘DISH’ To Launch A Loyalty Coin System On Blockchain

Cardano’s developer team, IOHK, has a long-term arrangement with DISH to propagate decentralized technologies.

DISH, a satellite TV network based out of Colorado, United States, is leading the pack in terms of blockchain adoption.

The company is partnering with Cardano Input Output Global (IOG) to bring a blockchain-based decentralized loyalty program to its user base. The system will adopt features of Cardano’s native token.

It will be implemented through the identity services system developed by Atala PRISM. The two companies inked the deal back in 2021 during the Cardano blockchain summit.

The deal was announced by Cardano CEO and by Cardano’s IOHK on its website.

The CRONUS Project

The mentioned MVP (Minimum Viable Product) based on the Cardano blockchain is a part of the CRONUS project which features IOG and DISH in a long-term collaboration to derive marketing strategies to cater to consumers.

To achieve this goal, the CRONUS project is built around the concept of issuing digital tokens to consumers through a loyalty program.

The tokens are minted on the Cardano blockchain and then replicated for issuance on DISH. While Cardano will track, mint, or burn tokens accordingly, IOHK will not have access to the wallet involved. The tokens will be named Boostcoins.

Customer information will also not be accessible. Instead, the Atala SDK will generate an unpublished decentralized identifier (DID) for each customer.

How Cardano Gains

DISH’s collaboration with Cardano is a great step towards the adoption of blockchain technology by mainstream media and business entities. On its part, Cardano stands to gain from the network support that will come with DISH running a number of Cardano network nodes on its side. This will boost Cardano’s network activity and possibly attract more users and increase volume. Either way, the two companies gain.

Shiba Inu Governance Token ‘Bone’ Up 10% As Singapore-Based Exchange Adds 333K Coins To Its 10M Bone Reserves

Bone up 10% as exchange adds more Bone.

Singapore-Based Exchange, MEXC Global Loaded Up 333,113 Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) In the Last 24 Hours and Now Holds Whopping 10.33 Million BONE Tokens, Worth $4.75 Million.

The governance token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, Bone Shibaswap (BONE) surges over 10% as Singapore-based MEXC Global added 333,113 BONE to its wallet in the last 24 hours.

MEXC Global, one of the world’s leading digital asset exchanges has accumulated 333,113 BONE, worth $152,932 as of the current price to its wallet through 23 separate transactions in the past 24 hours, Etherscan.io reports.

MEXC Global’s wallet came into existence on 1st April 2022 (2 months ago).Since then, the leading cryptocurrency exchange accumulated a total of 10,332,014 (10.33M) BONE, worth $4,751,951 ($4.75M). Interestingly, the exchange hasn’t sold even a single token to anyone in two months timeframe.

MEXC Global is the exchange known for its high performance and mega transaction matching technology. It currently serves over 6 million users in more than 70 countries. In 2021, the leading cryptocurrency exchange was awarded the “Best Crypto Exchange Asia” award at the Crypto Expo Dubai.

Reasons Behind Rising Demand For BONE:

The demand for Bone ShibaSwap spiked as rumors about the launch of Shibarium Layer 2 revived.

The rumors revived after Unification $XFUND scheduled its mainnet upgrade to go live on June 8.

Unification is the primary developer of Shibarium, therefore, the Shiba Inu Community speculates that this mainnet upgrade has something to do with the Shibarium Layer-2 launch.

The lead developer of ShibaSwap, Shytoshi Kusama called “Shibarium” – the backbone of all the SHIB projects in development – especially SHI and ShibFE (Shibarium Financial Ecosystem) in his recently posted blog post named “Shibshire Blastaway”. And BONE is reported to be used as a gas token on SHIB layer 2 ‘Shibarium’, therefore, the Shiba Inu Community believes the value of BONE will skyrocket once Shibarium L2 comes into life.

At present, BONE is acting as the governance token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem (Doggy DAO). However, the success of BONE is believed to be directly proportional to the success of ShibaSwap, the native decentralized exchange (DEX) of the Shiba Inu coin project, and its upcoming layer 2 solutions, Shibarium.

Shibarium, the layer 2 solution first proposed by Shiba Inu’s pseudonymous creator Ryoshi, aims to reduce the transaction fees for its users. It is reportedly being designed in such a way that it would offer a scaling and low-cost solution for many projects in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including SHIB: The Metaverse and the Shiba Inu Games.

Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) Price Surges Over 10% in the Past 24 Hours:

The price of BONE surges 10% over the last day following the aforementioned massive accumulation from MEXC Global. At the time of writing, BONE is trading at the price of $0.4605, with a 24-hour trading volume of $1,987,163 ($1.98M).

Why UK Crypto Users Choose Kriptomat

There is no shortage of places to buy cryptocurrency. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crypto investor, you can choose from hundreds of websites that will do the deal.

Surveys show that people across the United Kingdom are interested in buying or investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but they are worried about scams and unreliable websites. It’s no wonder – hundreds of sketchy websites and anonymous services promise to deliver the benefits of crypto – with no guarantees. It’s prudent to seek a safe, legal place to get started.

That’s why more and more people in the UK and across Europe are choosing Kriptomat.

IT STARTS WITH THE BASICS

You don’t get very far with discerning investors if you don’t cover the basics. You’ve got to tick all the boxes just to get in the game.

Every serious crypto platform cares about security, but none can match Kriptomat’s record. This crypto platform was the first European exchange to earn ISO 27001 data security certification. User funds are held in secure offline wallets, and the site is constantly tested by white-hat hackers. Every user goes through a thorough identity verification procedure.

You also want your crypto investing home to observe local laws and international regulations carefully. Kriptomat complies with all governmental regulatory requirements in every market in Europe and around the world. Kriptomat’s compliance team does the hard work of ensuring that users can invest confidently.

Beyond that, Kriptomat provides no-compromise access to 350 popular and carefully vetted cryptocurrencies. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it. And at Kriptomat, it’s more than a list of current prices. You’ll also find a detailed price history and instructions on how to buy each cryptocurrency, including informative videos that step you through the whole process.

THREE KEY ADVANTAGES

Beyond these basic requirements, Kriptomat embodies three unique strengths that explain its success with UK investors.

First, Kriptomat is committed to hyperlocalization. The website and mobile apps are available in local languages in every country where the exchange operates – including English. The UI, help files, and detailed instructions for making transactions are all available in local languages. The team is even thinking about listing local favorites at the top of the crypto price list. Kriptomat isn’t an international platform that happens to be available in the UK. The UK versions of the website, apps, articles, and videos are created uniquely for UK customers.

No matter what language you choose, Kriptomat is the easiest platform for buying, selling, and holding cryptocurrencies. That’s the platform’s second important advantage. Award-winning customer support, extensive help files, and a streamlined user interface make investing in crypto easy at Kriptomat. You can set up your account and identity verification so quickly you’ll be making your first trade in minutes. Kriptomat’s commitment to ease of use is so strong that the platform’s engineers study videos of first-time sessions with volunteers from all over Europe to identify tasks that are too slow or instructions that aren’t clear.

Finally, Kriptomat offers no-compromise, simplified access to advanced investing tools. Price alerts send you notifications when currencies you’re tracking have big price changes. Recurring buys give you the advantages of cost averaging, a powerful strategy endorsed by expert financial advisors. Automated buy & sell features let you set up transactions to be executed when prices hit triggers that you define.

These advantages combine with low transaction fees, great returns on savings accounts, and other features to make Kriptomat the preferred choice for crypto users and investors in the UK and around the world.

THE KRIPTOMAT VISION

Kriptomat’s mission is encompassed in a three-word statement that appears on many of the platform’s web pages: Everybody deserves crypto.

At Kriptomat, that’s more than a slogan. It represents an aspirational commitment to a future in which the benefits of crypto use and investing are shared worldwide in a no-compromise electronic future that’s free of the gatekeeping and high fees of banks and the finance industry. Kriptomat is working to make that dream a reality, one user at a time.

Founded in 2018, Kriptomat revolutionized the cryptocurrency world with the introduction of the simplest platform in Europe. Kriptomat makes digital finance so simple that everybody everywhere can access the freedom, fairness, and fulfillment that crypto represents.  Hundreds of thousands of customers across Europe and in 120 countries worldwide trust Kriptomat when they buy, sell, swap, earn, share, and invest in crypto.

How To Profit Off NFTs

0

There are a lot of stories about people who have made millions of dollars thanks to non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This has given NFTs a buzz, with everyone scrambling to profit from the trend by creating a quick buck. From famous actors to aspiring artists, everyone is attempting to develop their own NFTs. New technology like stable diffusion has made this more accessible than ever, allowing anyone to try making an nft image with text-to-speech AI.

This has also resulted in an increase in the number of NFT developer jobs advertised online. If you don’t know how to make your own NFTs, you can hire an NFT freelancer. However, since you’ll need to sell NFT artwork effectively, you’ll also need to understand how to do so. You’ll be able to find a lot of guides online about how to best sell your NFTs.

Introduction to NFTs

An NFT is a digital asset that can represent anything from a piece of art to a tweet. Unlike other digital assets, NFTs are non-fungible, which means each one is unique and cannot be replaced by another.

NFTs have exploded in popularity recently thanks to the rise of platforms that use them, such as Ethereum, where they can be bought, sold, or traded. This has led to a lot of people trying to profit from the trend by creating their own NFTs.

However, while anyone can create an NFT, not everyone will be able to profit from them. In order to make money from NFTs, you’ll need to understand how to sell them effectively.

Making Money off NFTs

The first step is to create an NFT that people will want to buy. This can be anything from a piece of digital art to a tweet. Once you have your NFT, you’ll need to list it for sale on an NFT marketplace.

When listing your NFT for sale, you’ll need to set a price. The price of an NFT can vary depending on a number of factors, such as its rarity or the popularity of the artist.

Once you’ve listed your NFT for sale, you’ll need to wait for someone to buy it. When someone buys your NFT, they’ll pay with a cryptocurrency, such as Ethereum. You’ll then receive the cryptocurrency in your wallet.

You can then withdraw the cryptocurrency to your bank account or use it to buy other NFTs.

When it comes to making a profit from NFTs, there are two main ways to do so:

The first way is by buying low and selling high. You’ll need to find an NFT that you think will rise in value and then sell it when it does. This can be difficult to do since you’ll need to have a good understanding of the NFT market.

The second way is by creating your own NFTs. If you’re an artist or creator, you can create NFTs and then sell them for a profit. This is a more hands-on approach and will require more work than simply buying and selling NFTs.

No matter which method you choose, you’ll need to be aware of the risks involved in investing in NFTs. The NFT market is still new and unregulated, so there’s always a chance that you could lose money. Make sure you do your research and understand the risks before investing any money.

Creating your own NFTs is a great way to profit off the trend. If you’re an artist or creator, you can create NFTs and then sell them for a profit. This is a more hands-on approach and will require more work than simply buying and selling NFTs.

Different Types of NFTs

There are a variety of different NFTs that you can create, such as:

Digital Art: You can create digital art and then sell it as an NFT. This is a great option if you’re an artist or creator.

Tweets: You can encode tweets as NFTs and then sell them. This is a great option if you’re a social media influencer with a large following.

Videos: You can create videos and then sell them as NFTs. This is a great option if you’re a content creator or YouTuber.

Music: You can create music and then sell it as an NFT. This is a great option if you’re a musician or producer.

The sky’s the limit when it comes to the types of NFTs that you can create. If you can think of it, chances are you can create an NFT for it.

Selling Your NFTs

Once you’ve created your NFT, you’ll need to list it for sale on an NFT marketplace.

As No Ruling Yesterday Fox Journalist Suggests Judge May Compel SEC to Surrender Hinman’s Documents to Ripple

0

No ruling was made yesterday as XRP holders were left disappointed.

The much-anticipated conference, held yesterday to discuss the issues surrounding Willam Hinman’s documents, ended without any ruling made by Judge Sarah Netburn.

While the XRP community was excited to listen to the proceedings of the conference, many were disappointed that no ruling was made.

As expected, the SEC tried to put up all forms of defense to ensure that the narrative still remains that Hinman’s documents are protected by the attorney-client privilege.

SEC’s Argument

However, throughout the duration of the proceedings, it was evident that the SEC was only making the attorney-client assertion just to suit its previous attorney-client claim over Hinman’s documents.

The SEC has consistently argued that it should not be asked to turn over Hinman’s document because the agency’s former Director of the Corporation of Finance discussed it with some attorneys at the agency before formulating his 2018 speech that declared Ethereum a non-security.

The SEC reiterates that the speech reflects Hinman’s personal opinion in his capacity as Director of the Corporation of Finance.

Judge Netburn Not In Support of SEC’s Argument

However, Judge Netburn does not seem to understand how anybody would request legal advice in developing a personal speech.

“I can’t be sure what legal advice could be given in the ‘development’ of a speech,” Judge Netburn stated.

Interestingly, the SEC argued that Hinman sought legal advice in a bid to avoid his speech from contravening “securities laws with respect to digital assets.”

The SEC added that Hinman’s speech was only advice to general market participants and not to any particular project.

Fox Journalist Reacts to Recent Proceedings

This comment prompted reactions from members of the cryptocurrency community, including Eleanor Terrett, a Fox Business journalist who has been one of the followers of the Ripple v. SEC lawsuit.

Reacting to the SEC’s comment that Hinman was advising market participants, Terrett tweeted:

“SEC counsel: ‘Hinman was giving advice to the market.’ Whoa.”

Terrett also proceeded to comment on the entire proceeding of the conference held yesterday, as she noted that Judge Netburn’s tone throughout the entire hearing is clear, adding:

“I would be very surprised if she rules in favor of keeping the #Hinman documents under wraps after this.”

Hearing Adjourned

Meanwhile, Judge Netburn assured the public that she will go through all relevant documents before delivering a ruling on the matter as soon as possible.

Although no date has been fixed for a verdict on the SEC’s renewed attorney-client claim over Hinman’s documents, the Ripple community is hoping that the ruling favors the blockchain company.

The hearing was adjourned, with no date fixed for subsequent sittings.

Binance Learn And Earn Announces 100% APY In Shiba Inu Locked Staking By Completing Courses

Binance Learn And Earn Giving Away 45k SHIB With 100% APY. As Binance is launching a mega promotion to award new users.

Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world, is almost always in the news for one thing or another. This time, the exchange has announced a promotion to award new users with SHIB tokens. The exchange seems to have figured that promotions are the gateway to a bigger customer base.

The exchange announced the news in a tweet that is bound to attract a lot of attention from the crypto community – especially the lovers of SHIB. It also posted the same on its website as SHIB is no more a memecoin.

How To Earn SHIB

According to the guidelines given, users can earn SHIB rewards by learning about the various aspects of the crypto and blockchain industry. The drive to educate people about the industry is handled by Binance Learn and Earn, a branch or department of the Binance exchange.

Binance has posted numerous articles and video tutorials about crypto and blockchain technology, and users can go through them to learn.

Binance pledged to award users for each learning stage or course they complete to encourage users to embrace the learning process. This time around, the exchange has set aside 45,000 SHIB tokens to be awarded to these learners. Besides learning and answering a few questions, users will be required to complete a KYC (Know Your Customer) process to be fully eligible to earn the rewards.

However, these SHIB rewards will only be accessible on a first-come, first-serve basis. Binance will decide on the number of tokens to be distributed to users in each country, and every user will only be eligible for a reward once for each completed course. Rewards can only be claimed after the course and quiz completion.

150-Day Staking With 100% APY

After the rewards are distributed to the eligible and earning users, the SHIB tokens will be locked in a staking pool for 150 days. Staking attracts staking rewards, meaning that users will be in a position to grow their allocated rewards into a higher number of tokens.

In this case, Binance will offer a 100% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) on the locked tokens. After the 150 days are over, the earners will receive close to 1.5 times the amount of SHIB tokens initially staked.

Note: Promotion Not For Everyone

However, it’s worth noting that the promotion is only accessible to new Binance users. According to the guidelines given, only those who open Binance accounts from 9th June 2020 onwards will be eligible.

229 Million Shiba Inu Burnt Within 24 Hours Along With First-Ever Shib Burn via Amazon Commissions

229.16 million Shiba Inu (SHIB) Burnt Within Past 24 Hours.

Over 229.16 million Shiba Inu (SHIB) have been pushed out of circulation by the community of Shiba Inu token lovers. Game Developer Travis Johnson led the Burn Show from the front in the past 24 hours. $176 Worth of SHIB Burned via Amazon.

According to a recent tweet posted by shibburn.com, over the past 24 hours, the Shiba Inu community has sent 229.16 million SHIB to unspendable wallets.

The tweet by shibburn.com says that 229,165,044 Shiba Inu have been removed from the circulating supply and locked in dead wallets, thus making the second-largest meme cryptocurrency a little more scarce.

These results were achieved after 11 transactions. Travis Johnson made the most significant burns, as the individual burn project sent 56,024,490 (56.02M), worth $592 canine tokens to a dead wallet in one large transaction.

This burn from Travis Johnson was scheduled for last Sunday. But, due to some unexpected technical issues, the project has to postpone its Burn Event till Tuesday. He addresses the postponement, saying he “was having trouble with Robinhood, Coinbase” and MetaMask wallet.

While taking the transparency of the Burn Project seriously, Johnson further informed the community that his Burn Project named “SHIB Super Store” was able to burn only $592 worth of Shiba Inu instead of $647. However, his SHIB superstore affirms that they will add the remaining $68 to the upcoming Burn Event.

$176 Worth of SHIB Burned via Amazon:

Another tweet from “SHIB Super Store” reveals that the project has earned 176$ worth of commissions through Amazon Affiliate Program. Travis Johnson confirms that his individual burning project has utilized some of these commissions to buy and burn Shiba Inu through this event. This marks the first-ever Shiba Inu Burn via Amazon.

As per recent data provided by Shibburn.com, 410,367,942,570,340 (410.36T) Shiba Inu tokens have been taken out of circulation forever from the initial supply of 1 Quadrillion tokens.

The total supply of the dog-themed cryptocurrency is reduced to 589,632,057,429,659 (589.63T). Out of this total supply, 556.32T Shiba Inu tokens are currently in circulation, and 33.30T of the supply have been staked by the holders of Shiba Inu on ShibaSwap.

SEC v. Ripple: SEC Requests to Seal Its Objection to Attorney John Deaton’s Amicus Brief

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is requesting that the court seal its opposition to the amicus brief of one of its experts, Patrick Doody.

According to a motion filed yesterday, the SEC, which was supposed to file its opposition to attorney John Deaton’s request to represent 67,300 XRP holders in the upcoming expert challenge, has asked the court to keep its objection confidential.

“Plaintiff Securities and Exchange Commission respectfully requests that the court order the sealing of the SEC’s letter in opposition to the motion by six XRP investors to file a brief regarding the opinion of one of the SEC’s experts [Doody],” excerpt of the recent motion reads.

Reason for the Motion

The SEC noted that it requested the sealing of its objection to the amicus brief of Doody based on the circumstances cited in the motion.

Furthermore, the SEC added that further additional public filings related to Doody’s testimony could result in troubling developments.

“Given the serious concerns identified in the opposition brief, and because the movants are not participants in this litigation, the SEC will respectfully await the court’s decision on this motion to seal before providing movants with a copy of its opposition brief,” the SEC stated.

The SEC is also seeking that the court order the six XRP investors and attorney Deaton to refrain from disclosing the content of its opposition brief to the public to prevent an exacerbation of troubling developments in the matter.

Ripple Objects to the Motion

Meanwhile, Ripple and Individual Defendants Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen are not in support of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s motion to keep their opposition brief away from the public, the SEC added.

Reacting to the development, attorney Deaton, who was granted amicus status to represent XRP investors in the lawsuit, stated that the SEC wants to keep its opposition confidential because of Doody’s safety.

“I sure hope no #XRPHolder has contacted or threatened Mr. Doody in any way,” attorney Deaton added.

SEC Not in Support of Attorney Deaton’s Participation

Following attorney Deaton’s request to represent 67,300 XRP holders and file a brief in response to Mr. Doody’s expert testimony, the SEC has consistently kicked against the move.

The SEC, which expressly disagreed that attorney Deaton should get involved in the expert challenge, requested that the court grant it an extension to file an objection.

The deadline for the SEC’s objection was yesterday; however, the SEC does not want details of its motion against the amicus brief to be made public.

Meanwhile, Mr. Doody’s testimony is an integral part of the lawsuit, as he is expected to prove that XRP investors were influenced to purchase the tokens in 2013 with an expectation of making huge gains.

Wrapped LUNA Classic on Ethereum (wLUNC) To Get LUNA 2.0 Airdrop At Later Date Including Coinbase Holders

FatMan At It Again, Explaining Everything About Terra wLUNC airdrop To The Community.

For some time now, the Terra community has been a zone of discomfort, especially since the crash of LUNA and UST.

The launch of Terra 2.0 didn’t help much because it was plagued by issues of errors in LUNA airdrop. A lot of people claim that they didn’t get the amount of LUNA airdrop they were supposed to. Terra, on its part, admitted to this error and promised to come up with a plan to rectify the issue. That is yet to happen.

On the other hand, there’s this guy on Twitter, FatMan, who seems to have dedicated his time to digging up information about Terra and the people behind it as well as what actually happened to the ecosystem.

While Terra founder Do Kwon and his team have often been accused of ignoring the community, there are those independent characters who have chosen to take up the mantle. In a recent Twitter thread, FatMan took the time to explain to the community about the coming Wrapped LUNA Classic On Ethereum airdrop.

Buying LUNA Won’t Get You Airdrop

First, buying LUNA now won’t entitle the holders to any airdrop. Neither holding wrapped LUNA entitles the holders to a 1:1 redemption with the new LUNA tokens.

For purposes of clarity, holders of Wrapped LUNA Classic (LUNC) holding on the Ethereum network are entitled to the LUNA 2 airdrop, but only if they had bought it before the account snapshots were taken before and after the crash.

The LUNA airdrop will be conducted according to the snapshots taken as covered in the original Terra 2.0 proposal.

According to Fatman:

“All of these LUNA variants (including Wrapped LUNA Classic on Ethereum) will receive the LUNA 2 airdrop at a later date – Terra devs are currently indexing all of these chains.

The airdrop will be based on the snapshot blocks from the original proposal, so buying wLUNA now will not entitle you to the airdrop. Holding wLUNA does *not* entitle you to 1:1 redemption of new LUNA. Rather, you can sell wLUNA on Uniswap (roughly worth the same as LUNC).”

It’s Up To Coinbase To Give Users LUNA Or Not

Users who had their original LUNA tokens in exchanges took their account snapshots. They got airdrop after Terra 2.0 was launched. However, there seems to be an issue with those on Coinbase.

According to FatMan, investors who had held wLUNA on Ethereum, including those on Coinbase, will be entitled to the coming LUNA airdrop. However, it’s not a foregone conclusion that Coinbase will pass the tokens on to them. FatMan opines that it will be up to Coinbase to decide.

“wLUNA holders on Ethereum will get the airdrop. This includes Coinbase. Whether Coinbase decides to pass their airdrop onto users or not is something that only they can answer.”
