Here are Returns on XRP and LINK Over the Past Five Years

0

Despite recent widespread skepticism, XRP has outperformed Chainlink over the past five years in investment returns.

Growing Comparisons Between XRP and Chainlink

Notably, the crypto community has observed a massive surge in comparison involving XRP and Chainlink in recent times. These comparisons have dominated the scene, as Chainlink proponents insist their project has matured into what XRP supporters expected the XRPL to become.

For context, Chainlink has secured multiple partnerships with large institutions in the financial sector, with one of these partnerships involving SWIFT. In contrast, the XRPL has not gained as much ground with these prominent institutions despite several firms leveraging Ripple’s payment solution for cross-border payments.

Meanwhile, the comparison recently evolved into price performances, as Chainlink community influencers insist that LINK is on the verge of surpassing XRP despite being miles behind. In a recent instance, one investor claimed he regrets committing to XRP over the past five years instead of XRP. He suggested he has now divested all his holdings into LINK.

XRP vs Chainlink: Which Has Had the Better 5 Years?

However, a look at the performances of both assets within this five-year period shows this investor would have had more regrets if he had held LINK instead of XRP. Specifically, Dom Kwok, co-founder of EasyA, shared market data suggesting that XRP has appreciated 983% within the past five years, while LINK only gained 66% within this period.

Dom advised investors to actually look at the facts presented by real market data and not allow themselves to be swayed by comments from anonymous accounts who might have received payments to promote a particular asset.

Notably, to confirm this difference in performance, we carried out independent market research. Data indicates that five years ago, in August 2020, XRP opened trading at $0.2597. Today, with its price standing at $3.12, XRP has gained by an impressive 1,101% over the past five years.

In contrast, LINK opened trading at $7.81. Now, with Chainlink’s price hovering around $22.5, it has increased 188% in the last five years. This confirms that XRP has outperformed Chainlink by nearly 6x over the past five years.

Returns on Investment in XRP and Chainlink

To put this into perspective, if you invested $10,000 in LINK five years ago, that investment would have grown to $28,809 at press time. However, a similar investment in XRP would have returned a much larger $120,138 today.

Interestingly, even when considering shorter timeframes, XRP has outperformed LINK by a mile. For instance, year-to-date, XRP is up 50%. Meanwhile, LINK has only increased by 12% within this period. Also, last year, Chainlink closed with a 33.93% rise, while XRP saw a massive 237.9% increase.

Here’s Why This Indicator Shows Cardano is Targeting $2.30

0

Cardano has broken out of a falling wedge pattern on the weekly chart, setting up a potential rally of 145% if the breakout holds, according to a notable analyst.

Chart Signals Strong Upside Potential

Crypto analyst Alpha-Gold FX shared a weekly chart, noting that the ADA/USDT pair has been consolidating in a falling wedge, a pattern that features lower highs and lower lows converging toward a breakout point.

ADA falling wedge
ADA falling wedge

Interestingly, ADA recently broke out of this wedge when it surpassed $0.96 yesterday, breaching the upper resistance trendline that has been converging since the high of $1.34 it reached in December 2024. The analyst noted that “good trading volume” accompanied the move, strengthening the probability of sustained upside.

ADA is trading at $0.9508, a 3.5% decline in the past day, reducing its weekly surge to 19.5%. The analyst noted that in many cases, a breakout above the wedge’s resistance line is a bullish signal.

Cardano’s Breakout from Key Technical Pattern

A measured move projection based on the pattern’s height places ADA’s target between $2.28 and $2.32. Alpha-Gold FX estimated potential gains between 90% and 100%+, while the chart data indicates an even larger upside of 145% if momentum holds.

Notably, the breakout places ADA in position to challenge resistance levels at $1.20, $1.50, and $1.80 before reaching the $2.30 target. However, a weekly close back inside the wedge could weaken the bullish setup and delay the move.

Cardano’s Bullish or Bearish?

Meanwhile, analyst Whitewalker sees positive in the current market pullback. He noted that any pullback could present a buying opportunity as long as the $0.77 support level holds. The analyst predicted Cardano could approach $1.80 within the coming weeks, targeting the $1.8040–$1.8897 resistance band.

This move will represent gains of nearly 90% from current levels. However, a sustained move below $0.77 would weaken the bullish outlook and could open the door to a drop toward $0.62.

In addition, crypto analyst Mr Banana is anticipating a new weekly high. He called Cardano’s move a “nice bounce” as ADA trades near $0.96. The 4-hour chart shows the token holding above the $0.90 support after breaking past the $0.85–$0.86 resistance.

Trading volume has also increased alongside a recovering Relative Strength Index (RSI), indicating sustained buying interest. If the bullish trend continues, ADA could again test the $0.98–$1.00 range in the short term.

Market watcher Crypto Deezy previously provided a bullish outlook, predicting Cardano could rally toward $3 in the next 27 days after forming a golden cross, where the 50-period moving average crosses above the 200-period.

The last time this pattern appeared in December 2024, ADA surged 237% from below $0.40 to over $1.40, suggesting a similar bullish breakout may be underway.

Similarly, Dan Gambardello predicts Cardano (ADA) could climb to $3, a gain of about 197%, after breaking a long-term descending trendline. He noted that ADA’s risk score has returned to 44, the same level seen in December 2020 before its rally to an all-time high of $3.09.

Top Bitcoiner “Wolf of All Streets” Says XRP is Not Scam

0

Podcast host Scott Melker, known as “The Wolf of All Streets,” has clarified his stance on XRP following remarks that stirred strong reactions.

For context, speaking on a previous podcast episode with Morgan Creek Capital CEO Mark Yusko, Melker highlighted notable gains in older cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and XRP.

He pointed out that Ethereum was up 9% and XRP was up 10% at the time of the show. Melker also noted that on the weekly time frame, ETH had risen 23% while XRP had jumped 33%.

“XRP Price Surge Doesn’t Mean It Got Better”

The impressive move prompted discussion about the factors driving the rally. Political developments at the time, including the passing of the GENIUS Act, were among the catalysts mentioned as fueling the altcoin pump.

During the discussion, Yusko reiterated his long-standing skepticism toward XRP. He admitted to previously calling it “a scam” and stated that price increases do not necessarily reflect improvements in functionality.

“The fact that an asset increases in price doesn’t mean that the functionality got better. It just means there are more buyers than sellers, so the price rises,” Yusko remarked regarding XRP’s surge.

Moreover, he claimed that the price increase was also due to speculation about XRP’s potential role in government use cases. However, he stressed that there was no direct evidence for such plans.

XRP Army Reacts

XRP influencer “Digital Asset Investor” shared the exchange on X. He highlighted Yusko’s criticism and Melker’s reference to XRP as a “dinosaur altcoin.”

According to him, the root of the criticism stems from the supposed fear among Bitcoin advocates that XRP could one day flip BTC. As a result, they continue to spread FUD, calling it a scam.

Other voices, such as Brad Kimes of Digital Perspectives, also joined the conversation. Kimes expressed concern over what he perceives as deliberate efforts to prevent collaboration between the Bitcoin and XRP communities.

Referring to the scheduling of Bitcoin Vegas and XRPLasVegas in 2026, Kimes noted that there were no overlapping dates and no direct competition between the events. Yet, according to him, XRPLasVegas was blocked from using the same venue. He sees it as a sign of unnecessary resistance from the Bitcoin side.

He highlighted his intention to foster unity across blockchain communities, noting that he had invited notable Bitcoin figures such as Mark Yusko and Caitlin Long to participate just before their public criticism of Ripple’s application for a bank charter.

“I Don’t Think XRP Is a Scam”

Responding to the backlash, Melker stated that he does not believe XRP is a scam. He even said he doesn’t spend much time thinking about the asset.

Melker also expressed willingness to participate in XRPLasVegas 2026. Additionally, he teased an upcoming interview with the CEO of Flare, suggesting that he remains open to engaging with the XRP community despite past tensions.

Cardano Founder Says ADA Has Its Days as It Becomes Only Top Asset in Green With Rally to $1

0

The bullish sentiments around Cardano have spiked in the past day as ADA defies bearish trends to briefly reclaim the $1 price.

While major assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP retreated, Cardano had other plans yesterday. The 10th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap targeted higher prices amid the market chaos, rallying briefly to an intraday high of $1.02 before a slight correction.

ADA: The Only Top 50 Asset in the Green

The contrarian play placed Cardano at the top in the pecking order among the top 50 cryptocurrencies by 24-hour performance. Data shows that ADA is the only top 50 asset in the green in the past day, following its over 5% price growth.

The positive price action further puts ADA in the limelight as search engines and aggregators saw heightened interest. TapTools highlighted that Cardano ranked first in the trending coin section on CoinMarketCap yesterday. However, it has dropped to second place at press time, with Bitcoin recently taking the lead.

Meanwhile, ADA’s bullish price action drew reactions from its proponents, including founder Charles Hoskinson. In a tweet, he stated that Cardano has its days, attaching a GIF of popular actor Pedro Pascal smiling in relief.

Notably, Hoskinson has been a target of criticism when Cardano’s price underperforms, despite repeatedly emphasizing that he has no contribution to it. Nonetheless, he took pride in yesterday’s rally, expressing excitement over Cardano’s bullish price action.

What’s the Next Target for Cardano?

Meanwhile, analyst Javon Marks suggested that Cardano has further upsides, insisting that the recent pump has not even reached the minimum target. He highlighted that ADA has increased by over 82% from June’s lows of $0.51, following through on a recurring key trend dating back to 2023.

Notably, this involves a price rally after breaking out from a descending channel. The analyst predicted that the minimum target for the recent breakout is $1.20. Meanwhile, his attached chart shows that Cardano could reach $2.91, a 206% rally from the current market price.

Cardano Analysis/Javon Marks

This aligns with the price targets of other analysts like Crypto Deezy. He pointed to a golden cross in the daily timeframe, projecting a rally to $3, with past occurrences as context. Dan Gambardello also shares the same price target.

ConsenSys CEO Says SharpLink Will Outgrow Rivals in Ethereum Treasury Race

0

Ethereum co-founder and ConsenSys CEO Joseph Lubin says SharpLink, a firm with ties to Ethereum’s core ecosystem, could grow faster than other Ether treasury companies.

In a recent interview on Nasdaq, Lubin, who is also the chairman of SharpLink, stated that the firm benefits from the backing of the Ethereum company. He expressed support for other firms in the Ether treasury space but predicted that SharpLink would surpass them in growth and performance within a short time.

Lubin described how SharpLink benefits from positive feedback loops between ConsenSys products, advanced staking services, and experienced professional asset managers.

He explained that this integration strengthens the company’s position in the decentralized finance investment sector, adding that its expertise in staking and asset management makes it a strong option for investors seeking exposure to such firms.

$100 Trillion Tokenized Asset Opportunity

Speaking further on the firm’s Ethereum treasury, SharpLink Co-CEO Joseph Chalom also outlined a broader market vision for Ethereum, predicting that tokenized assets, including stablecoins, traditional funds, and real-world assets, will grow into a $100 trillion market.

Chalom said such assets will require a programmable, decentralized, neutral, and always-available ecosystem, which he believes could be Ethereum.

He noted that this could significantly accelerate Ethereum’s adoption. Chalom said Sharplink’s mission is to drive adoption, build awareness, and aggressively accumulate ETH for the benefit of its shareholders.

Notably, Sharplink raised $200 million in a direct offering at $19.50 per share to expand its Ethereum treasury earlier this month. Closing on August 8, the deal involved A.G.P./Alliance Global Partners, Société Générale, and Cantor Fitzgerald. Chalom said the funding supports its strategy to accumulate, stake, and grow ETH-per-share.

Ethereum Treasury Competitive Landscape

According to data from CoinGecko, Sharplink holds 598,800 ETH, valued at roughly $2.79 billion. This accounts for about 0.496% of Ethereum’s total supply. Only Bitmine Immersion Technologies holds more, with 1.15 million ETH worth approximately $5.36 billion.

Other significant public holders include Bit Digital with 120,306 ETH and ETHZilla with 82,186 ETH. Collectively, 19 publicly traded companies hold 2.27 million ETH, about $10.58 billion, representing 1.88% of the total supply.

Ethereum is the Biggest Macro Trade of the Next Decade

In a similar development, Bitmine’s chairman, Tom Lee, called Ethereum the “biggest macro trade” of the next 10–15 years. He predicted that the second-largest token could hit $15,000 once it clears its all-time high. He also referred to Wall Street’s adoption, JP Morgan, Coinbase, and Robinhood building L2s on Ethereum, along with stablecoins becoming crypto’s “ChatGPT moment.”

Lee noted that most stablecoins domicile on Ethereum, which offers smart contract capabilities Bitcoin lacks, making it the preferred compliant blockchain for institutional use.

Pundit Predicts XRP Should Be Around $20 to $50 When First Wave of Spot XRP ETFs Go Live

0

Notable crypto commentator Kenny Nguyen has shared his view on where he believes the price of XRP ought to be once spot XRP ETFs go live.

While XRP currently trades around $3, Nguyen expressed conviction in a tweet today that it could reach the high double-digit range. Specifically, he stated that XRP should be between $22 and $50 once the first set of spot XRP ETFs launches.

With XRP trading at $3.11 today, this projection implies a potential rally of 607% to over 1,507%. For perspective, this would give XRP a market cap of between $1.3 trillion and $3 trillion, compared to its current $186 billion.

Why ETF Launch Could Transform XRP’s Valuation

Nguyen’s projection aligns with several analyses suggesting that U.S. approval of spot XRP ETFs could be one of the most significant events in the asset’s history. ETF products provide regulated exposure for institutional and retail investors who may prefer not to hold the asset directly.

Unlike Ethereum, which offers staking rewards that might discourage ETF adoption, XRP has no staking mechanism. This means investors face no opportunity cost when choosing ETF exposure over direct ownership.

Steven McClurg, CEO of Canary Capital, an XRP ETF applicant, recently shared this perspective in a podcast. McClurg noted that this structural advantage, combined with XRP’s dominance in the payments niche and its global community of millions, strengthens the argument for substantial initial inflows.

XRP Price Scenarios Based on Capital Inflows and Multipliers

As the market awaits the launch of XRP ETFs, various projections from industry figures and models offer insight into XRP’s potential upside.

For instance, McClurg estimates that XRP could attract $5 billion in investment in its first month. Notably, using analyst Dom’s 272x market cap multiplier, this could push XRP’s market cap to $1.546 trillion. This translates to a price of $26 per XRP—within Nguyen’s projected range.

Another model uses a comparison with Bitcoin ETF flows. As previously analyzed by The Crypto Basic, if spot XRP ETFs capture 35% of Bitcoin ETF inflows since launch (around $16.3 billion), and a conservative 100x multiplier is applied, XRP’s market cap could rise to $1.759 trillion, implying a price near $30.

Alternatively, under a more cautious scenario:

  • 15% of BTC ETF inflows ($5.85 billion) could push XRP to $12.23
  • 30% ($11.7 billion) could raise the price to $22.20 — right at Nguyen’s lower bound.

XRP to Follow Bitcoin’s Trajectory Post-ETF?

Analysts often draw parallels between XRP’s potential and Bitcoin’s performance after its ETF launch in January 2024. Bitcoin initially dipped on launch day but then rallied to new all-time highs above $100,000 within the year as ETFs accumulated over 1 million BTC.

As a result, XRP supporters have speculated that XRP could also break unprecedented price levels if it follows a similar trajectory.

Meanwhile, Ethereum has yet to break its all-time high, despite ETF investments since last year. Momentum only recently shifted with the emergence of multiple ETH treasuries, helping the altcoin approach its 2021 peak.

Ultimately, XRP may chart its own path following an ETF launch and may not mirror Bitcoin’s trajectory, as the XRP Army often speculates.

ETF Approval Odds Keep Climbing

Notably, approval odds for spot XRP ETFs have been rising. Bloomberg ETF analysts recently placed the likelihood at 95%. Meanwhile, prediction market Polymarket shows an 80%–88% chance of approval in 2025.

Several major asset managers, including 21Shares, Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, and WisdomTree, have filed applications. The U.S. SEC is currently reviewing them, with a decision deadline in October.

Dogecoin Whale Activity Hits One-Month Peak as Whales Accumulate 2B DOGE

0

Dogecoin whale activity has reached its highest level in a month, according to data from market analyst Ali Martinez.

In a post on X, Martinez revealed that large transactions above $1 million surged past 100 on August 13 as the meme coin’s price tested the $0.25 mark. The increase follows a 26% recovery from early August lows near $0.195.

Whale Transactions Reach Monthly Peak

The jump in whale transaction count above 100 marks the most active day for large holders since mid-July. In the preceding weeks, daily whale transactions mostly ranged between 20 and 60.

Adding to this, Martinez highlighted that whales holding between 100 million and 1 billion Dogecoin have accumulated around 2 billion tokens over the past seven days, worth roughly $500 million at the current price.

This buying spree has pushed total holdings in this cohort to approximately 27.6 billion DOGE, the highest in over a month.

Dogecoin Price Recovery Mirrors Whale Transactions

The increase in whale transactions mirrors the recovery in prices. DOGE began the period trading near $0.24 in late July before sliding steadily to a monthly low of about $0.195 on August 2–3. However, a steady rebound followed, coinciding with several smaller whale transaction spikes.

By August 7, the price had risen above $0.24 before retreating to roughly $0.23. The latest surge in whale activity occurred as DOGE climbed again, reaching $0.246. This level sits just below the $0.25–$0.252 resistance zone, which has capped multiple rallies in recent weeks.

Notably, Dogecoin has failed to reach the $0.25 level, now trading at $0.2285, a 9.5% drop in the past day following the broader market trends. For context, Bitcoin has seen a 3.3% drop in the same period.

Dogecoin Accumulation May Signal Potential Price Surge

The latest whale accumulation follows periods of similar large buys this year. In May, Martinez reported that Dogecoin whales accumulated over 1 billion DOGE in a month, raising their total holdings to 25.97 billion. The accumulation coincided with a 53% price surge the preceding week and a 3.56% daily gain. Notably, Dogecoin surged from $0.227 on May 16 by 11.7% to reach $0.2536 by May 23 after the reported accumulation.

Similarly, Dogecoin’s whales added 200 million tokens in March, boosting their stash to 10.5B DOGE worth $2.14B. This steady buying helped DOGE rebound 42% from its $0.1432 low after a 70% correction, reclaiming key support at $0.16.

What’s Next for Dogecoin?

Now, despite the recent price dip, analyst Trader Tardigrade said Dogecoin is ready to pump. Dogecoin’s weekly chart mirrors its pre-2021 rally setup, with price consolidating between $0.15 and $0.30 and forming higher lows.

Dogecoin Weekly chart

A clean break above the $0.30 neckline could target $0.45 and $0.70 if momentum builds. The bullish case hinges on holding $0.15–$0.18. Nonetheless, a drop under $0.18 would weaken the outlook.

In contrast, pseudonymous analyst Alien Ovicho noted that Dogecoin is in the midst of a short-term pullback after completing a five-wave rally from its August 3 low.

Dogecoin is bearish
Dogecoin is bearish

The 4-hour chart shows DOGE entering a three-wave corrective structure, with current price action near $0.222 and a projected path toward $0.24 before potentially dipping to the $0.21–$0.206 range.

Ovicho mentioned that the $0.188 support level is crucial; holding above it would keep the bullish structure intact and lead to another upside push. At the same time, a breakdown below it would invalidate the near-term bullish outlook.

Notably, analyst Stonk Chris has earlier highlighted a bullish rising wedge on the weekly chart, with targets up to $1.10. The pattern, intact since the $0.055 low in late 2023, faces key resistance at $0.27–$0.30, while support sits at $0.18 and $0.13.

718,351 Ethereum Worth $3.31B Trapped in Exit Queue — Withdrawals May Take Over Two Weeks

0

The waitlist for staking claims has reached a new record high amid growing withdrawal pressure from Ethereum validators.

The number of days that stakers need to wait continues to grow as validators increasingly opt to unstake their assets on the Ethereum network. The wait time for the exit queue now stands at 13 days, 16 hours, a record period for validators.

Meanwhile, this comes as the unstaking trend swings northwards. At the time of writing, 788,048 ETH, worth a staggering $3.63 billion, are currently on the exit queue. These growing parameters have sparked claims of network congestion from Whale Wire’s CEO, Jacob King, who mocked “future of finance” claims associated with networks like Ethereum.

Screenshot 2025 08 15 072426
Entry and Exit Queue for Ethereum Validators

Why the Delay for Ethereum Unstakers?

Notably, the wait time for exit validators has outpaced that for entry, with the latter currently standing at 5 days and 18 hours. The delay time for the two first depegged on July 21, with increasing unstaking fueling this unequal wait period.

For the uninitiated, the exit queue is the waiting list for validators seeking to unstake their Ethereum from the network. Typically, this design intends to delay withdrawal briefly to maintain network stability, with just 16 of such transactions processed per block. However, the current waiting time is off the charts compared to the normal period.

Meanwhile, DeFi analyst Ignas has provided some reasons for the growing exit queue and wait time. In a recent tweet, he highlighted that the current number of Ethereum in the unstaking list is at an unprecedented level. Furthermore, he noted that they came from the top three liquid staking token (LST) platforms: Lido, EthFi, and Coinbase.

On why the withdrawal spiked, the analyst suggested it came as users unwound leveraged Ethereum. For context, he mentioned that validators used staked ETH (sETH) to borrow from Aave and repeat the process for a higher yield. However, as the borrowing rates spiked, they are now unwinding.

sETH Depeg, Profit-Taking, and Upcoming Staked Ethereum ETFs

Ignas also tied the high withdrawals to the depegging of sETH and other LSTs. It all started when Tron founder Justin Sun withdrew 600 million of sETH in July, causing sETH to depeg from Ethereum’s price. He noted that validators are cautious of further downsides, hence the withdrawals.

Furthermore, Ignas mentioned that the upcoming Ethereum staked ETFs could be another factor. With the uncertainty that asset managers would use existing infrastructures like Lido for staking services, validators are unstaking in preparation for any circumstance.

Finally, he highlighted that the major catalyst for this is profit-taking amid Ethereum’s price rally. The altcoin king now trades closer to its all-time high than ever following recent bullish form rediscovery, and holders are beginning to take profit.

Ripple CTO Says Institutions Can Move Value Without XRP or Any Crypto Asset on XRPL

0

The Ripple CTO has shared how institutions can use the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to transfer value without holding XRP, aside from paying transaction fees.

David Schwartz made this disclosure on the back of a discussion started by Abdullah “Abs” Nassif, host of The Good Morning Crypto show. Notably, Abs highlighted a past comment from Schwartz, where he described XRP more as a weapon than simply a reserve.

Institutions Can Transact on the XRPL Without XRP by Using Trustlines

Responding to this statement, Sean Langshaw, a former US Navy AC and full-stack developer, called attention to the XRPL’s documentation, explaining how the ledger allows two parties to create what are called “trustlines” without actually needing XRP besides for transaction cost.

For the uninitiated, trustlines, which are native to the XRP Ledger, act like agreements between accounts on the network. Notably, when accounts set up trustlines among themselves, the trustlines specify which assets the accounts are willing to accept and in what amounts.

Langshaw said that once institutions set up these trust relationships, they can issue and trade their own tokens without using XRP to settle payments. In these cases, XRP’s only role is in covering the small network fees that keep the XRPL running.

Ripple CTO Confirms This Has Been the Original Vision

In response to this, Schwartz confirmed that the situation actually matches the XRPL’s original vision, noting that he hopes institutions take this route. He said the trustline concept dates back to 2004, when Ryan Fugger first developed it, and it later became a key part of the Interledger Protocol (ILP), which links different payment networks.

Schwartz mentioned that for certain situations, trust relationships present a better solution than using cryptocurrencies directly. When that happens, people will naturally choose the method that works best. He added that this doesn’t threaten cryptocurrencies, because they still serve only a small part of their potential use cases today.

The Ripple CTO argued that even if trustlines work better for some problems, every increase in distributed ledger adoption strengthens the overall blockchain ecosystem. Schwartz explained that cryptocurrencies work best in cases where you need assets with no counterparty, no jurisdictional oversight, strong censorship resistance, and tolerance for volatility.

According to him, the actual challenge is making it easy for the right people to access those assets when they need them. He also believes that being close to enterprise use cases will help drive that adoption.

The Parties Involved Can Decide Their Mode of Exchanging Value

To clarify his position, Schwartz presented an instance involving Alice and Bob, two parties with a trust relationship. These individuals might extend credit to each other and settle up weekly, or they might already have an open payment channel on the XRPL.

Notably, every method Alice has to receive funds and every method Bob has to send the funds create part of a payment network.

If Alice can take Bitcoin and Bob can hand out cash at his grocery store, the XRPL or ILP could handle a transaction where someone sends Bitcoin to Alice and gets cash from Bob. Essentially, the technology would manage the routing, pricing, settlement, and record-keeping.

Meanwhile, commenting on Schwartz’s disclosure, XRP community figure WrathofKahneman pointed out that XRP’s use will always depend on context. He noted that while trustlines can move value without XRP, they still rely entirely on the XRPL’s underlying infrastructure.

Top Crypto Market Expert Shares XRP Price Prediction if Bitcoin Hits $210,000

0

The analysts behind the Altcoin Daily channel have shared what they call a bullish XRP target if Bitcoin rallies 76% to a new all-time high.

Notably, the latest disclosure comes amid the latest volatility spell that gripped the broader market, leading to sharp price surges and sudden slumps. Specifically, Bitcoin (BTC) surged to a new all-time high above $124,000 yesterday amid this heightened volatility, but eventually closed the day with a 4.03% decline, its largest intraday crash in four months.

While altcoins like XRP and Ethereum (ETH) saw more impressive initial price jumps than Bitcoin yesterday, they still failed to break previous all-time highs, with XRP hitting resistance at $3.35 and ETH facing its roadblock around $4,791.

Bitcoin Could Claim a $210,000 Price

Amid the current market situation, Altcoin Daily recently presented what they believe could be the bullish targets for these assets this cycle. Specifically, they expect Bitcoin, the crypto firstborn, to reach a target of $210,000, which represents a 76% increase from the current price of $119,269.

Notably, this $210,000 Bitcoin price prediction aligns with previous projections from industry leaders who expect BTC to perform well in the foreseeable future. For instance, during a CNBC interview in April, Presto’s research head, Peter Chung, predicted that Bitcoin could reach $210,000 this year. He cited expansion in global liquidity and institutional interest as catalysts for this run.

Meanwhile, in January, market analyst Capt. Parabolic Toblerone suggested that Bitcoin’s fifth Elliott Wave could take it to $210,000 before this year’s Valentine’s Day. However, this timeline did not materialize. Further, financial experts like Robert Kiyosaki also expect Bitcoin to reach around $200,000 this year.

XRP Price if Bitcoin Hits $210,000

Nonetheless, due to Bitcoin’s position in the market, a surge in its price would likely benefit other crypto assets in the market, including XRP. As a result, Altcoin Daily’s projections suggest that XRP could rise to a price of $7 in a situation where Bitcoin reaches $210,000.

Altcoin Daily on X
Altcoin Daily on X

Interestingly, several market commentators believe an XRP rally to $7 is well within reach. In June, analyst Crypto Bitlord argued that expecting a $7 price for XRP is no longer gambling. Also, media personality Zach Rector predicted XRP could claim $7 or beyond by the first week of September.

Currently, XRP changes hands at $3.12, having gained 1.35% today after a brutal 5.94% collapse yesterday. At this current position, XRP would need to rally by 124% to reach the $7 target. Notably, this is a reasonable expectation, considering XRP often outperforms Bitcoin during periods of market growth.

For instance, after President Donald Trump’s election win, Bitcoin reacted with an impressive 55.7% rise from $70,202 in November 2024 to a new peak of $109,356 by January 2025 before a decisive pullback. However, during the same period, XRP surged 568% from $0.5089 to a peak of $3.4 before retracing. With this, XRP outperformed BTC by 10x.

Also, during the July 2025 recovery, which pushed Bitcoin to an all-time high above $123,000, the crypto firstborn rallied 8%. However, XRP saw a 35% rise in the same timeframe, outperforming BTC by more than 4x. If XRP outperforms Bitcoin by the same factor of 4 when BTC reaches $210,000, the XRP price could actually reach $12.6, and not $7.

Other Altcoin Price Predictions

Meanwhile, besides Bitcoin and XRP, Altcoin Daily also shared bullish predictions for other assets. They expect ETH to reach $11,000 and Solana (SOL) to claim $900. Meanwhile, they predict a Dogecoin (DOGE) price of $2, a rally to $12 for Sui, and a Chainlink (LINK) surge to $125. For Avalanche (AVAX) and Toncoin (TON), they project prices of $500 and $30, respectively.
