Here’s What Could be XRP Price If XRP Maintains Its Dominance and Global Crypto Market Cap Hits $40T

XRP price can theoretically reach the audacious two-digit level if the altcoin maintains its market dominance and the crypto market cap grows over 13x.

Despite the prevalent price struggles, XRP has managed to maintain a market dominance above 4% for the past few months. Interestingly, XRP’s market dominance stayed below 3% for over a year before the massive price spike in November 2024 that allowed the altcoin to scale up.

XRP’s Current Market Dominance

As XRP claimed a price of $3.39 in January 2025, dominance hit a 5-year peak of 5.58% but eventually collapsed as the pullback ensued. Now, despite XRP failing to capitalize on the broader market’s latest recovery push, the altcoin still has a market dominance of 4.55%.

This position is impressive, especially if XRP maintains this mark when the global crypto market cap reaches greater heights. Notably, during the 2022 bear market, the global market cap fell to a low of $744 billion in December of that year. Interestingly, it spiked 401% to a new peak of $3.73 trillion in December 2024, as Bitcoin crossed the $100,000 mark.

Now, amid the market drawdown, the global crypto market cap holds steady at $2.9 trillion, up 10% this month. Notably, market analysts and Cardano Permabull Dan Gambardello suggested last June that the global crypto market cap could hit $40 trillion. However, he admitted that he could not tell when this forecast could materialize.

XRP Price if Global Crypto Market Hits $40T

Notably, if this forecast materializes with XRP maintaining its market cap dominance, XRP price could see an impressive spike. For perspective, if XRP holds a 4.55% market dominance in a $40 trillion global market, this will translate to a market cap of $1.82 trillion for the crypto asset.

Meanwhile, CoinMarketCap data indicates that XRP currently has a circulating supply of 58.44 billion XRP tokens. Assuming this figure grows to 65 billion tokens when the global crypto market hits $40 trillion due to Ripple’s escrow releases, XRP’s $1.82 trillion would lead to a price of $28 per XRP token.

This forecast is extremely reasonable, given that XRP currently already boasts the market dominance necessary for this figure and also has the potential to grow beyond this dominance position.

Interestingly, in March, market commentator CrediBULL predicted that XRP has the potential to reach the $28 price mark. Also, analysts at the crypto platform Telegaon believe that XRP could actually reach $28 million in 2029, four years from now. While Changelly also expects this bullish goal to materialize, it sets the target year to 2031, two years further.

However, this massive growth in the broader crypto market cap would have a greater impact on Bitcoin’s price due to the crypto firstborn’s massive dominance. With a current market dominance of 64.28%, Bitcoin will have a market cap of $25.7 trillion if the global crypto market reaches $40 trillion.

Considering its circulating supply of 19.85 million tokens, this $25.7 trillion valuation would lead to a price of $1.295 million, nearly $1.3 million. Interestingly, Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood predicted last August that BTC could reach $1.3 million. In 2022, VanEck also projected a possible Bitcoin rise to $1.3 million.

XRP Is an Insane Opportunity, Says Top Analyst: Here’s the Reason

0

XRP may still have more staggering upsurge potential in the tank, as analysts identify an exceptional opportunity for holders of high-caliber assets.

Specifically, prominent market watcher “The Analyst” shared what he termed an “insane opportunity” in a recent X post. The projection highlights a bullish price development on the XRP chart with massive minimum and maximum targets on the horizon.

Notably, the analysis comes on the heels of XRP’s latest retracement after recently hitting price levels last seen in March. The fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap surged to $2.655 a week ago following Bitcoin’s ascent above $100,000, but it has moved downwards by nearly 14% since then.

XRP Eyes an Insane Ride to New ATHs

The May 18 commentary identifies that XRP has held a descending support trendline after completing a five-wave Elliott Wave pattern on the 1D timeframe. XRP started the first wave with its November 2024 500% rally and completed the fifth wave with its swing to January’s multi-year high of $3.399.

Since completing the bullish pattern, XRP has retraced considerably but has rebounded after each dump to a strong support trendline. Notably, its recent upward trajectory came from its recovery after dipping to the support zone at $1.614.

Meanwhile, the April 7 support line revisitation aligned with the region around the 0.618 Fibonacci extension, often called the golden pocket. This sparked a quick rebound, with The Analyst predicting a bullish continuation to higher prices.

XRP Analysis/The Analyst

First, he suggested a retest of the $3.400 price mark, an area that failed to hold in January. If XRP breaks the crucial resistance, the analysis predicted a rally to the 1.618 Fibonacci extension at $6.5, a 182.6% rally from its current price.

Interestingly, the Analyst emphasized that $6.5 is only the minimum target for the rally and XRP could extend gains. Specifically, he predicted further upside to $9.5, a 313% growth from the current price and a 46% uptick from the minimum target.

Other Calls for a $9+ XRP Price

With XRP nearing the $3 price mark last week, bullish calls have intensified for the coin. Yesterday’s projection for a $9+ rally adds to the recent commentaries predicting a similar price attainment.

For instance, prominent market figure “The Modern Investor” boldly claimed that XRP would rally to $9 by September 2025. Also, analyst DK64Trades predicted an easy ride above $10 this cycle, citing a reclaim of its January 2018 market dominance

Expert Issues Crucial XRP Warning

Despite heightening bullish sentiments, market expert Ali Martinez has issued a crucial XRP warning. He shared in a recent post that the asset could dump back to $2 if it loses the critical support level at $2.300.

His commentary highlighted a potential head-and-shoulders pattern on the hourly timeframe, with the baseline around $2.300. If XRP fails to defend its current support, it could drop back to its early May price range.

At the time of writing, XRP trades at the support, exchanging hands at $2.315.

Robinhood Proposes Federal Tokenization Framework, Targeting $30T Market

Robinhood has moved to reshape the U.S. financial infrastructure by proposing a national regulatory framework for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) to the SEC.

This move positions the brokerage firm at the forefront of a growing sector projected to reach $30 trillion by 2030.

Robinhood’s proposal suggests treating tokenized assets, such as tokenized Treasury bonds or equities, as legally equivalent to their traditional counterparts. This equivalence would eliminate current legal uncertainties and allow institutions and broker-dealers to manage tokenized RWAs using existing regulatory frameworks, rather than operating under fragmented, state-level securities laws.

By advocating for unified federal oversight, Robinhood aims to simplify compliance, reduce costs, and increase participation from both institutional and retail players.

Introducing the Real-World Asset Exchange (RRE)

As part of the proposal, Robinhood outlined plans to launch the Real-World Asset Exchange (RRE). This trading platform seeks to combine off-chain trade matching with on-chain settlement.

It would utilize a dual-chain architecture on Solana and Base, enabling lightning-fast trade execution with sub-10-microsecond latency and up to 30,000 transactions per second.

This technical setup could compress the standard settlement time from T+2 to T+0, potentially reducing trading costs by 30% annually.

RRE would also integrate Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) tools through partners like Chainalysis and Jumio to meet global compliance standards.

Legal Foundation for a Tokenized Future

While the crypto industry has often seen technology outpace regulation, Robinhood’s proposal flips the script by starting with legal clarity.

The proposal does not introduce new technology but anchors existing blockchain capabilities within a legally compliant framework that could serve both traditional finance and DeFi ecosystems.

According to Mati Greenspan, founder of Quantum Economics, this could be the first viable path for a regulated U.S. broker to bring trillions of dollars in assets on-chain without compromising regulatory standards.

Tokenization Momentum Builds Across the Industry

Robinhood’s initiative comes amid a broader wave of tokenization efforts by financial heavyweights.

Earlier this month, VanEck debuted its tokenized fund, VBILL, in partnership with Securitize. Targeting institutional and qualified investors, VBILL offers blockchain-based access to U.S. Treasury-backed yields with real-time settlement and 24/7 liquidity.

Meanwhile, Franklin Templeton received approval from Singapore to launch the country’s first tokenized fund open to retail investors. With a minimum investment of just $20, the fund lowers entry barriers to institutional-grade money market instruments via blockchain.

Additionally, MultiBank Group signed a $3 billion tokenization agreement with UAE real estate giant MAG and blockchain firm Mavryk.

Eric Piscini, CEO of Hashgraph, emphasized that “the surge isn’t arbitrary,” but is driven by meaningful factors such as improving regulatory clarity, scalable technology, and increasing involvement from major industry players.

Kraken: Just a Little XRP Can Cut Risk and Lift Returns

A recent report from Kraken Exchange highlights XRP as a valuable asset in diversified crypto portfolios.

The report uses a data-driven framework that incorporates Monte Carlo simulations and efficient frontier modeling.

At the time of this report, XRP was changing hands at $2.33, having declined from its weekly high of $2.66. The crypto has seen moderate fluctuations throughout the week, aligning with the broader market.

However, amid these fluctuations, Kraken’s report used a framework called Monte Carlo simulations to gauge XRP’s constructiveness. This statistical technique models and analyzes the behavior of complex systems that involve uncertainty and randomness.

The report, titled “In a Portfolio of Digital Assets, XRP is Constructive,” concludes that even a modest allocation of 3.9% to XRP can improve overall portfolio efficiency.

Image

This level of exposure, determined within a minimum-variance framework, reportedly sustains annualized returns near 14% while also reducing portfolio volatility.

The simulations, which tested thousands of market scenarios, provide statistical support for XRP’s risk-adjusted performance. The analysis highlights XRP’s value as a portfolio diversifier, given its moderate correlations with major layer-1 assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

By not moving in lockstep with these dominant cryptocurrencies, XRP helps smooth portfolio volatility, especially during periods of elevated market stress.

Diversification and Risk Metrics Point to Strategic Allocation

In addition to lower correlation, Kraken’s research notes that XRP shows resilience during broad market drawdowns. Simulated portfolios with XRP included experienced shallower declines, suggesting reduced exposure to protocol-specific risks.

This resilience, combined with XRP’s historical upside, including prior triple-digit monthly gains, strengthens its positioning as a contributor to improved risk-adjusted returns.

Further, the report finds that small allocations to XRP lead to notable improvements in key portfolio performance metrics. Specifically, the Sharpe and Sortino ratios, used to measure risk-adjusted returns, show better results with XRP included.

Kraken emphasizes that large capital commitments are not necessary. Even low-single-digit allocations provide the intended diversification and efficiency gains. These findings reflect a broader application of XRP in retail and institutional portfolio structures.

Technical Analysis Supports Long-Term Price Structure

Meanwhile, a separate analysis from analyst “GalaxyBTC” outlines long-term technical patterns in XRP’s historical price cycles.

The review identifies two major consolidation periods: the 2014–2017 cycle, which lasted about 1,267 days, and the ongoing 2018–2025 cycle, which spans approximately 2,471 days. Following the earlier consolidation, XRP surged from $0.0067 to $3.84 after breaking out and retesting its trendline.

In early 2025, XRP mirrored this pattern by breaking out of the multi-year downtrend. As of now, XRP trades near $2.38. Galaxy suggests that this longer consolidation phase may lead to a stronger rally, with technical projections pointing toward a potential price target of $40, if historical structures repeat.

21Shares Predicts Supply Crunch to Push Bitcoin Toward $138K

21Shares reports rising institutional demand and tightening supply could push the Bitcoin price higher amid improving global macro conditions.

Notably, Bitcoin (BTC) is approaching a key breakout phase, bolstered by a convergence of structural factors that extend beyond retail speculation. According to a recent forecast by investment firm 21Shares, Bitcoin could reach $138,500 by the end of 2025.

The projection considers rising institutional participation, favorable macroeconomic shifts, and a deepening supply crunch.

As of today, Bitcoin trades at $104,684, marking a 2.16% increase over the last 24 hours and a 0.95% rise over the past seven days.

Institutional Buying Accelerates as Supply Dwindles

21Shares reports that institutional capital has moved to the forefront of Bitcoin’s demand structure. Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have become consistent net buyers, now absorbing more than the daily 450 BTC generated through mining.

This persistent mismatch between supply and demand is reducing available inventory and supporting higher prices. Simultaneously, institutions are exploring alternative exposure strategies, including allocations via companies such as Michael Saylor’s Strategy and the upcoming Twenty One Capital.

In parallel, per 21Shares’ report, some public companies are beginning to hold Bitcoin as part of their treasury strategies. Additionally, jurisdictions such as New Hampshire and Texas have proposed legislation to establish state-level Bitcoin reserves.

Internationally, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund is reportedly accumulating BTC, signaling growing state-level interest in the asset. These developments indicate a foundational shift in how Bitcoin is being adopted and retained by long-term holders.

Macroeconomic Trends Reinforce Positive Outlook

The broader macroeconomic environment is also playing a significant role in Bitcoin’s upward trajectory. Central banks, including the U.S. Federal Reserve, are expected to reverse course after two years of rate hikes.

Real yields are falling, and the U.S. dollar has weakened in recent months. Concurrently, global liquidity is expanding as central banks in Europe, Japan, and China increase their balance sheets. These changes support risk assets, with Bitcoin notably sensitive to such liquidity movements.

Per 21Shares, improved U.S.–China relations have also added momentum. A recent easing of trade tensions between the two countries has lifted investor sentiment.

Equity markets have risen, credit spreads have tightened, and monetary indicators such as M2 and the ISM Manufacturing Index have begun to recover. Historically, Bitcoin has tracked M2 growth with a 12-week lag, a pattern that appears to be repeating.

Historical Trends Inform Current Projections

21Shares notes how Bitcoin’s previous rallies have typically occurred six to twelve months after a halving event. Past cycles, such as those in 2017 and 2020, were often driven by retail enthusiasm and loose monetary policy.

While a tenfold gain is not anticipated this time, 21Shares states that a doubling or tripling from Bitcoin’s previous $69,000 peak aligns with historical post-halving behavior.

Additionally, retail participation remains moderate compared to past cycles, suggesting that current price growth is primarily institutional in nature. Capital is reportedly flowing from registered investment advisors (RIAs), wirehouses, and corporate investors. This pattern, distinct from prior bull runs, points to a more durable demand base.

Other Firms Eyeing $130K And Above

In October of last year, research firm Ecoinometrics released an analysis indicating that Bitcoin’s value could potentially double over the following 12 months.

This projection was based on the assumption that both Bitcoin and the broader equity markets would sustain upward momentum throughout the period. Under such conditions, the firm suggested that BTC could reach around $130,000 by late 2025, marking a 100% increase from its value at the time of the report.

Meanwhile, investment manager VanEck, known for issuing crypto ETFs, outlined a long-term forecast for Bitcoin extending through 2050. The firm presented three distinct scenarios, with its baseline case placing Bitcoin’s value at $2.9 million by 2050. In contrast, VanEck’s conservative—or bear—case forecasted a minimum value of $130,314 by that time.

“You Can’t Force People to Choose You,” Shiba Inu Team Insists on Growth and Improvement

The Shiba Inu team is again highlighting the importance of ecosystem growth, suggesting these fundamentals will attract those who value the asset.

The broader crypto market is witnessing a period of muffled price action, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) and its ecosystem tokens have not escaped the consolidation spell.

Pessimism Amid Shiba Inu Downtrend

Particularly, after hitting a local top of $0.00001765 last week, Shiba Inu spent most of the week in a downtrend amid persistent bearish pressure in the broader market. SHIB lost 5.72% of its value last week and is already down another 4.87% this week.

Notably, Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), the governance token for the ShibaSwap DEX, also slumped 14% last week, with a 5.17% drop this week. In the same vein, TREAT is down more than 24% since last week, while Doge Killer (LEASH) has dropped 19% within the same timeframe.

However, this downtrend is not unique to the Shiba Inu ecosystem, as the altcoin market has lost over $30 billion in valuation since last week. Despite this reality, sentiments have turned sour within the Shiba Inu community, with some investors demanding some action.

“You Can’t Force People to Choose You”

Within this context, Shiba Inu marketing lead Lucie took to X to suggest that teams and builders behind any crypto project cannot force investors to choose or love their projects. According to her, no one can force an investor to buy any token. This comes on the back of growing pessimism among some proponents.

Lucie on X

However, Lucie insisted that instead of focusing on such aspects of the market, builders can continue growing and improving. Notably, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team has continuously prioritized this growth culture, introducing projects such as Shibarium and the ones currently in development like The SHIB Metaverse.

Lucie noted that growth, improvement, and developments such as these are enough to attract investors who will hold and value the token.

Shiba Inu Still Welcoming Investors Despite Uncertainty

Interestingly, this appears to be the case, as IntoTheBlock data indicates that whales have amassed 19.47 trillion SHIB this year, now holding 585.16 trillion tokens, despite the price struggles.

Shiba Inu Whales and Investors IntoTheBlock
Shiba Inu Whales and Investors | IntoTheBlock

Within this period, lower investors holding between 0.1% and 1% of the circulating supply have distributed 10.61 trillion tokens, with their balance now sitting at 147.38 trillion, demonstrating their lack of conviction. Meanwhile, Shiba Inu has added 70,000 addresses this year, as total addresses with balances grow to 1.4 million.

This indicates that investors with conviction have continued to enter the market, looking to capitalize on the ongoing consolidation to procure the token at lower prices before the next upsurge. Lucie has suggested that Shiba Inu could reach $0.01 someday, but she noted that this would not happen soon.

Kraken Enters European Derivative Market With MiFID Licenses Acquisition

0

Prominent crypto exchange Kraken will roll out derivative products for its clients in the European continent after recent licensing.

The European crypto market is expanding rapidly, with the new Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation attracting digital asset firms. Leading crypto exchange Kraken has become the latest to enter Europe, particularly targeting the derivatives market.

In a Tuesday announcement, Kraken disclosed that it is rolling out regulated derivative contracts for European users. The firm noted that the latest venture aligns with its expansion strategy, which aims to offer more crypto-related products for its clients in the region.

Kraken Debuts CFD Products

The product aims to reach retail and institutional customers in the European Economic Area (EEA), the Tuesday release emphasized. Notably, this became possible after Kraken recently secured a Market in Financial Instrument Derivative (MiFID) license in Europe.

The prominent exchange secured the license by acquiring Greenfield Wealth, a Cyprus-based investment firm, earlier in the year. With the acquisition, Kraken received a MiFID-approved license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

Remarkably, the authorization allows Kraken to offer regulated CFD products to European users. Specifically, the firm can now provide regulated derivative contracts to all 27 European Union countries in addition to Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein.

Meanwhile, this enhances the exchange’s derivative presence, which constitutes a large chunk of its business. Specifically, derivative trading accounts for nearly 50% of its volume and between 70% and 75% of its total trading activities.

Recall that Kraken recently entered the UK’s derivatives market. It resumed offering qualified retail and institutional clients FCA-regulated CFD products in May, expanding its grasp of the nation, which is its second-largest market after the United States.

European Derivative Market Heating Up

Kraken’s European venture is the latest move by prominent digital asset firms to leverage the rapidly emerging crypto market in the bloc. Following a clear regulatory framework, the European market has become attractive for global presence expansion.

For context, Bitstamp and Gemini have acquired MiFID licensing in Europe, offering users a wider range of derivative products in the region. The latter received its license from the Slovenian top market regulator in October 2024, while the former got the permit from Malta’s MFSA earlier this month.

Standard Chartered Says Increased Government Stake in Strategy Backs Its Bitcoin to $500K Call By 2028

0

Standard Chartered’s head of digital assets, Geoffrey Kendrick, says recent SEC 13F filings indicate that Bitcoin is on track to potentially hit $500,000 by 2028.

The prominent analyst issued the bullish statement in a recent note to Standard Chartered’s clients, as seen by Walter Bloomberg. In the note, Kendrick highlighted the recent SEC’s 13F filings as a crucial trend supporting Bitcoin’s possible rise to the $500,000 mark by 2028.

Strong Institutional Demand for Bitcoin Despite Dip in Direct BTC ETF Holdings

The Standard Chartered analyst acknowledged that direct Bitcoin ETF holdings plunged in the year’s first quarter. For instance, the State of Wisconsin Investment Board closed its Bitcoin ETF position, equivalent to about 3,400 BTC, in the BlackRock iShares Trust.

The dip in direct Bitcoin ETF holdings would have been seen as a cooling demand for Bitcoin. However, Kendrick emphasized that this was not the case, as recent SEC 13F filings, particularly in Q1 2025, signal growing institutional interest in Bitcoin.

Specifically, he noted that government entities boosted their indirect exposure to the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market cap in Q1 2025. These entities increased their stakes in Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) during this period. It is common knowledge that Strategy’s massive Bitcoin holding of 576,230 BTC makes it a proxy for institutional Bitcoin exposure.

Government Entities Increase Stakes in Strategy

Most institutions and government entities that do not plan to buy and hold Bitcoin directly due to regulatory restrictions but still seek exposure to the premier asset usually acquire Strategy’s stock, MSTR.

Notably, the Swiss National Bank, Norway’s Government Pension Fund, and South Korea’s pension and investment bodies increased their MSTR holdings in the first quarter. According to Kendrick’s report, these entities purchased MSTR shares worth approximately 700 BTC each.

Also, several U.S. states increased their stakes in Strategy, including Kentucky, New York, and North Carolina. In Kendrick’s view, while Bitcoin ETF holdings slumped in Q1 2025, the increased exposure to Bitcoin among government entities via the acquisition of Strategy’s shares signals strong demand for Bitcoin.

Trend Supports Bitcoin to $500K Price Call

As a result, he suggested the trend supports Standard Chartered’s prediction that Bitcoin would hit the $500,000 mark by 2028.

Recall that the analyst first issued this bullish prediction in February, forecasting that Bitcoin would achieve the milestone before Trump leaves office. Specifically, he projected that the $500,000 target would become a reality by 2028, three years from now.

To hit the target, the price of Bitcoin must soar by 379% from its current level of $104,359.

DAG MD Says XRP Is Heavily Undervalued, Could See Massive Upside If It Handles Just 10% of SWIFT’s Daily Transactions

A notable market commentator suggests the current XRP price would be undervalued if derivatives trading for the asset gains broader adoption.

His recent comments come as XRP continues to face bearish pressure amid a broader market lull. Since collapsing from the $3.3 peak in January, XRP has largely traded at the lower end of the $2 price mark. However, analysts insist the asset is undervalued in this region.

Jake Claver, Managing Director at Digital Ascension Group (DAG), is the latest to echo this sentiment. In a recent commentary, he insisted that XRP’s current position suggests the asset is “heavily undervalued,” especially in a scenario where derivatives trading gains traction.

XRP Making Progress in the Derivatives Market

Interestingly, 2025 has marked a massive turning point for XRP on the derivatives front. For one, in March, Bitnomial Exchange launched the first XRP futures product in the United States under CFTC oversight, introducing the XRP US Dollar Myra (XRUY) Futures.

The product, offered through Bitnomial’s exchange, clearinghouse, and brokerage subsidiaries, presented market participants with a compliant and transparent way to gain exposure to XRP derivatives.

Following this milestone, Coinbase Derivatives joined the fray last month, listing its own XRP futures contracts under CFTC oversight. Coinbase offered both standard contracts representing 10,000 XRP and smaller “nano” contracts of 500 XRP.

Most recently, CME Group, the world’s leading derivatives marketplace, announced on April 24 its plans to launch XRP futures on May 19, pending regulatory approval. CME’s offering includes micro-sized contracts of 2,500 XRP and larger contracts of 50,000 XRP.

These developments, bolstered by the success of products like Teucrium’s 2x Daily Long XRP ETF, show XRP’s rising prominence in the regulated derivatives space and point to a potential path toward broader financial adoption, including the possibility of spot XRP ETFs shortly.

Amid the progress around derivatives trading, Claver believes the XRP price should be massively higher than the current position. Further, estimates suggest XRP could reach as high as $100 if it captures just 1% of the derivatives market, estimated to sit at $1 quadrillion.

If XRP Handles a Portion of SWIFT’s Volume

Meanwhile, SWIFT, the global financial messaging system, also caters to the derivatives market, especially in post-trade processing, collateral management, and settlement. In his commentary, Claver also called attention to XRP’s potential to capture a portion of the daily flow handled by SWIFT.

According to him, if XRP handles only 10% of SWIFT’s daily flow, this could lead to an impressive price increase. He then called attention to the estimated $6.5 trillion volume that moves on the foreign exchange market daily. If XRP takes advantage of this flow, it could set the stage for further price appreciation.

Notably, XRP’s attractive features in the payments sector are the primary reasons behind comments such as Claver’s, as most believe it has the potential to deliver more efficiently than traditional systems. However, its price currently at $2.2 does not reflect such massive utility.

SHIB Price May Jump to $0.000033 in Upcoming Rally, Analyst Says

0

An analyst says Shiba Inu may continue ranging below trendline resistance before a breakout triggers a heavy pump.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) experienced modest upward movement over the past 24 hours, registering a 2.83% increase. Despite this recent uptick, the price has remained below the $0.000014 mark, fluctuating within a narrow range.

The intraday chart reflected a gradual rise followed by a brief correction on May 19. However, this short-term bullish behavior has not altered the broader technical outlook, as the asset continues to trade under a dominant descending trendline.

This resistance, in place since SHIB’s retreat from the $0.00004 peak earlier in 2024, has remained unbroken, keeping the long-term bearish structure intact.

Descending Trendline Continues to Dictate Shiba Inu Structure

Analyst MMBTtrader’s chart on TradingView reiterates the persistent impact of the descending trendline, which has acted as dynamic resistance throughout 2024. SHIB has made multiple attempts to rally, most recently targeting the $0.000033 level in December 2024, but failed to hold above key resistances.

Shiba Inu Price Prediction
Shiba Inu Price Prediction

Per the chart, each rejection reinforced the broader bearish structure, leading the token to retreat to a local support zone of around $0.00001110.

According to MMBTtrader, the trendline currently caps resistance at approximately $0.00002044. He suggests that until SHIB breaks above this level, bullish momentum is unlikely to be sustained. Despite the resistance, the analyst anticipates extended ranging behavior beneath the trendline.

He notes that this consolidation phase may precede a breakout, at which point the market could experience a heavy pump. If SHIB manages to overcome this dynamic resistance, the projection places the next major price target at $0.000033.

Consolidation Persists Despite Temporary Price Recovery

Further technical insight comes from analyst Şeyma, who analyzed SHIB’s performance across multiple timeframes. On the weekly chart of the 1000SHIB perpetual contract, she identifies a prolonged downtrend beginning in December 2024.

Currently, the token is in a consolidation phase, where the price compresses within a defined range. This stage often precedes directional breakouts, requiring confirmation through specific resistance levels.

Şeyma notes that a weekly close above $0.000015 would be the first signal of possible bullish continuation. However, she emphasizes that confirmation requires a clean breakout above the next key resistance at $0.000017.

Only a breakout above both thresholds would validate a shift in market structure. In such a scenario, the path could open toward a higher target of $0.000030.

Derivatives Data Reflects Balanced Sentiment

Beyond spot price action, the SHIB derivatives market presents key signals of ongoing trader activity. According to Coinglass, open interest in Shiba Inu derivatives rose by 9.36% in the past 24 hours, reaching a total of $212.61 million. This suggests participants are holding onto existing positions longer, possibly in anticipation of a larger move.

Shiba Inu Derivatives Data
Shiba Inu Derivatives Data

The open interest-weighted funding rate also remains positive, indicating that long positions are paying to maintain their exposure.

Meanwhile, liquidation data over the past 24 hours showed a relatively balanced distribution. A total of $234.23K was liquidated, split between $114.99K in long positions and $119.25K in shorts. This even split points to a stable market structure with no evident panic or forced selling.
