World top exchange Binance reported that in 2020, the total volume of trading on Binance was over $3 trillion, and the maximum figure for a single day exceeded $52.6 billion. Record figures include trading volumes in the spot market, futures, options, margin trading and tokens with leverage.
Binance noted that since the end of 2019, the number of institutional clients of the exchange has increased by 46%.
The main market for the company was Asia, followed by Europe. The largest trading volumes in pairs with Fiat currencies were led by the United Kingdom, Europe, as well as Russia and the CIS countries.
The most popular cryptocurrencies on the spot market were Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP. These same assets made up the top three in terms of trading volumes on the Binance Futures trading portal.
CEO changpeng Zhao said that The company expects to end the year with a profit of up to $1 billion.
