0

India’s leading digital assets exchange, SunCrypto added support for Shiba Inu’s Governance token Bone ShibaSwap (BONE).

SunCrypto recently announced the listing of Bone ShibaSwap (BONE). Trading went live on the platform on Nov 29.

SunCrypto is among the early exchanges that have added support for the world’s 2nd biggest canine-themed cryptocurrency in terms of market cap, SHIB. Shiba Inu’s trading on the platform was enabled on November 26th, 2021.

SunCrypto is one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in India. The exchange enables its clients to buy/sell and trade over 150 cryptocurrencies in India at the best price and on an instant basis. As per the official websites, over 800K verified Indian users prefer to use the exchange with a trading volume of ₹100,000 Cr+.

Bone ShibaSwap has been getting a lot of attention from exchanges and investors for the past few months as the lead Shiba Inu developer, Shytoshi Kusama, turned his full focus to the much-awaited Shibarium – Layer 2 Solution. However, the Shibarium’s potential launch date is still unknown. Bone ShibaSwap will be used as a native Gas token on the network. As of now, Bone ShibaSwap is utilized as the Governance token of the Shiba Inu Ecosystem, enabling Shiba Inu Community to vote on all the upcoming proposals in Doggy DAO.

Xumm Implies No One Uses Coinbase Wallet, Slams Coinbase For Insinuating XRP Has Low Usage

Xumm Implies No One Uses Coinbase Wallet As Coinbase Ends XRP Support.

XRP Ledger native wallet Xumm claps back at Coinbase for insinuating that XRP has low usage.

Xumm wallet responded to the decision of Coinbase wallet to end support for XRP in a tweet yesterday, implying that no one was using Coinbase wallet in the first place.

Notably, Coinbase wallet, in a blog post yesterday, disclosed that it would be ending support for BCH, ETC, XLM, and  XRP by 2023, citing low usage.

In response, native XRP Ledger wallet Xumm asserted that Coinbase was experiencing low usage because holders had switched to Xumm. Touting its strengths, the non-custodial wallet for only XRPL tokens welcomed all remaining XRP holders.

“Sorry (but not sorry) Coinbase, that’s because everyone is using Xumm (More secure, no telemetry, better support, ecosystem interaction and feature complete),” Xumm retorted. “XRP holders: we welcome you.”

It bears mentioning that the Coinbase wallet delisting of XRP and end of support for the XRPL has met mixed responses. Some users felt that the exchange-owned wallet needed to be more forthcoming about its motives, as the move is uncharacteristic of a non-custody wallet. On the other hand, others expressed surprise that people were holding their XRP on the Coinbase wallet or that the wallet supported XRP in the first place since the exchange does not support XRP trading.

The responses are unsurprising as XRP community members are not big fans of Coinbase. Notably, many still hold a grudge against the exchange for delisting the token almost two years ago, even when the Judge is yet to give a ruling in the SEC case against Ripple, claiming that XRP is a security.

The community’s response to recent statements from Coinbase chief Brian Armstrong asserting that the crypto industry needed to band together and be less tribalistic gives credence to this. Notably, the statement did not rub off well on many who feel the Coinbase chief is partial to Bitcoin and Ethereum and unsupportive of XRP.

Despite statements from Coinbase wallet, XRP remains the seventh largest crypto by market cap with over $20 billion, boasting a 24-hour trading volume of nearly $1 billion.

Atheist Shoes announces a 10% discount for all purchases made with Shiba Inu.

Leading handmade shoe manufacturer Atheist Shoes has become the latest brand to accept Shiba Inu payments. According to a recent announcement, Shiba Inu holders can use SHIB to purchase footwear from the Berlin (Germany)-headquartered shoe manufacturer.

Popular cryptocurrency payment provider BitPay recently announced on Twitter that Atheist Shoes partnered with BitPay to accept Shiba Inu payments.

Atheist Announces 10% Discounts

To celebrate the development, Atheist Shoes is offering a 10% discount for all new orders and payments in Shiba Inu until December 16, 2022. Customers, who want to enjoy the discount, can make payments for their favorite Atheist footwear using the promo code “HANDMADECOMFY.”

Launched in 2012 by Irishman David Bonney, Atheist Shoes is a Berlin-headquartered footwear manufacturing company. Atheist’s footwears are handmade in Porto by four traditional shoemakers, inspired by the Bauhaus minimalistic aesthetic.

Notably, cryptocurrency enthusiasts can purchase footwear from Atheist using BitPay-supported crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin.

Growing Acceptance of SHIB Payments

The announcement further suggests a growth in the number of businesses accepting Shiba Inu payments across the globe. Since BitPay added support for Shiba Inu, several businesses have accepted Shib as a payment method.

Some merchants accepting Shiba Inu payments include Hublot, Apple, AMC Entertainment, Pacaso, and Condos.com. Aside from BitPay, Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has contributed to the widespread acceptance of Shiba Inu payments globally. On November 1, Shiba Inu was added to Binance Pay’s supported crypto assets. Through this addition, merchants across the globe can accept SHIB payments. Some merchants supported by Binance Pay include Travala.com, Alchemy Pay, Settlepay.com, etc.

Meanwhile, according to Coingecko data, Shiba Inu is still trading at $0.00000923, up 2% in the past 24 hours.

Futures Contracts With 100x Leverage Coming to BabyDoge DEX

0

BabyDogeSwap will soon support futures contracts with up to 100x leverage for investors.

Fast-growing decentralized exchange (DEX) BabyDogeSwap recently announced that it is looking to enable support for perpetual contracts with leverage of up to 100x for its customers. The project noted that the support would be enabled in its launch of the BabyDogeSwap Pro platform.

Baby Doge disclosed the development through its official Twitter handle today. “Coming soon: BabyDogeSwap PRO.

Perpetuals up To 100x leverage,” the project revealed in a tweet, sharing an informative art to depict its message. According to Baby Doge, the futures contract support will be powered by ApolloX, a decentralized derivatives exchange.

The launch of the perpetual contracts is expected to occur on Friday, as further disclosed in a separate tweet within the thread. The disclosure has been received well within the Baby Doge community, as exposure to perpetual contracts on the BabyDogeSwap platform breeds excitement amongst proponents.

Following its launch on October 6, the BabyDogeSwap platform appears to be constantly thirsty for further improvements. Its inclusion of perpetual contracts is only one of the several developments pumped into the DEX despite being barely two months old.

The platform included support for farm rewards a few hours following its launch. The support would allow projects to develop staking farms and pools on the BabyDogeSwap exchange. The announcement caught the attention of the crypto space, as several entities, such as Chirpley and Muu Inu, launched their farms on the platform days after.

Furthermore, yesterday, Baby Doge mentioned the launch of the upcoming monthly burn initiative that would occur on the BabyDogeSwap exchange on December 1. The team announced the burn date last week, as previously reported by The Crypto Basic. The burn event is expected to incinerate up to one quadrillion tokens worth an estimated $1M.

On November 8, The Crypto Basic highlighted the magnitude of the total burns the team has engaged in, as it persists in its campaign to reduce the asset’s supply. Total burns then had reached 199.2 quadrillion Baby Doge tokens, representing 47.4% of the asset’s total supply.

Miami Nightclubs Reveal Crypto Entrepreneurs Chilled In Champagne-filled Bathtubs

Miami Nightclubs Processed Millions Worth of Orders From Crypto Entrepreneurs Last Year.

Miami nightclubs recently disclosed that they received massive patronage from crypto entrepreneurs who were in the habit of lavish spending.

Nightclubs in the Floridian city of Miami have revealed that they processed millions of dollars worth of orders from crypto entrepreneurs during the bull run of last year due to their habit of lavish spending on exotic products such as champagne-filled bathtubs.

According to a Financial Times report, owners of the nightclubs disclosed the information as they sought to reminisce on the good days in which the persistent bear market and the damaging effects of the recent FTX collapse have hampered.

Speaking to FT, Gino LoPinto, an Operating Partner at a Miami nightclub, E11even, revealed that the club witnessed a mass emergence of young cryptocurrency entrepreneurs shortly after it started processing orders in cryptocurrencies in April of 2021.

Notably, in June 2021, LoPinto mentioned that several crypto investors trooped into E11even, making exuberant orders to celebrate what they called a successful trade. According to LoPinto, the entrepreneurs ordered a bathtub of champagne worth over $1 million and paid in cryptocurrencies while enjoying a show from prominent rapper 50 Cent.

“They had bathtubs of champagne brought out and gave 50 Cent a bunch of cash to throw,” LoPinto noted. Additionally, he revealed that E11even processed orders worth over $6M from crypto entrepreneurs between April 2021, when it started accepting crypto payments, and December 2021.

Financial Times also interviewed the Director of Food & Beverage at Moxy Hotels, Andrea Vimercati. Vimercati revealed that the young crypto entrepreneurs were purchasing between 12 and 24 of the most expensive champagnes and indulging in champagne showers.

Vimercati admitted that the young entrepreneurs had a sort of “nerdy” look that did not particularly ooze an aura of wealth. Still, they would book tables valued at $50,000 while treating themselves to the highest-priced drinks, making him wonder where they had come from.

While it is nearly impossible to ascertain whether these were individuals engaged in [rug pull] scams or honest investors who made nice trades, it remains a given that last year’s bull run transformed several cryptocurrency proponents into overnight millionaires.

Individuals who invested in assets such as Shiba Inu (SHIB), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Ethereum (ETH) received massive returns as each asset surged by surprising margins. The price surges of the previous bull market captured the attention of millions of investors, contributing to a massive increase in cryptocurrency adoption from both retail and institutional investors.

The Bear Market and The FTX Implosion Have Triggered a Dearth of Customers

Notwithstanding, the nightclubs have witnessed a dearth of crypto-inclined customers of late amid the prevalent bear market and the recent contagion spread by the FTX implosion. The FTX debacle, in particular, has put investor confidence to the test, leading to losses of billions of dollars.

The company filed for bankruptcy on November 11 following a massive bank run that exposed its liquidity crisis, leading to its crash and the collapse of affiliated entities such as Alameda Research.

Following its first bankruptcy hearing, several disturbing revelations surfaced surrounding the firm. A Reuters report revealed that Sam Bankman-Fried, his parents, and other FTX executives purchased the property in the Bahamas worth over $300M, as SBF ran the firm like his “personal fiefdom.”

Recently, The Crypto Basic reported that a total of eight United States House members made attempts to impede the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s inquiry into FTX in March as part of its consumer protection regulatory exercise.

CryptoCom Just Transfers 1.8 Trillion Shiba Inu to Binance

1.8 Trillion Shiba Inu Transferred From CryptoCom To Binance.

Crypto.com recently sent over 1.8 trillion Shiba Inu (SHIB) from one of its official wallets to a wallet affiliated with Binance.

Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com just transferred over 1.8 trillion SHIB from one of its wallets to an official Binance wallet. The transfer occurred in a batch of two 900B SHIB transactions five minutes apart, triggering questions on the actual purpose of the outflow.

Cryptocurrency on-chain data tracking system Whale Alert highlighted the two transactions which occurred on Tuesday. The first transaction involved the transfer of 900 billion SHIB valued at $8.2M+ from a Crypto.com wallet with the tag Crypto.com 5 to a wallet affiliated with Binance. Data from Etherscan indicates that the transaction occurred on November 29, 12:34 (UTC).

Barely five minutes later, a similar transaction was indexed by Whale Alert. The second transaction, which involved the transfer of another batch of 900 billion SHIB tokens ($8.2M+), appears to have been made from the same Crypto.com 5 wallet to the earlier-mentioned Binance wallet. This second transfer was carried out on November 29, 12:39 (UTC).

Following this series of transactions, the Binance address involved now holds ERC-20 tokens valued at $48.2M+, including the 1.8 trillion SHIB worth $16.4M+. Besides the recent SHIB transactions, it appears the Binance wallet has interacted with wallets from several exchanges in the recent past, including Crypto.com 5, Crypto.com 3, an OKX wallet, a Kraken wallet, and a Bittrex wallet.

In the past, the wallets from these exchanges have transferred millions worth of ERC-20 tokens to this central Binance address, with Crypto.com 5 and Crypto.com 3 involved in most transactions. Both addresses have transferred $38.2M+ of assets to the Binance wallet in the past 4 hours. The central Binance wallet has always transferred its funds to the address tagged Binance 14 each time it received these tokens.

The enigmatic flow of funds between these Crypto.com wallets and the Binance wallet has unsurprisingly sparked reactions from the broader cryptocurrency community, as many questions if there is monkey business at play regarding the recent wave of proof of reserve disclosures within the crypto space.

Recall that both Binance and Crypto.com recently disclosed their respective proofs of reserves following the FTX implosion to assuage investor concerns of a similar fate with FTX. Notably, both exchanges’ proofs of reserves revealed massive holdings of SHIB tokens.

The Binance proof of reserves indicated that the exchange held over 87 trillion SHIB worth nearly $1 billion at the time of the shot, The Crypto Basic previously reported. The proof of reserve from Crypto.com also showed that the exchange held more SHIB than ETH in its reserves, with $558M+ worth of SHIB, representing about 20% of the platform’s total reserves.

Despite limited knowledge surrounding the recent transfers from Crypto.com to Binance, numerous proponents have expressed their concerns as claims have been made in the past, suggesting ab alleged scheme to fake proof of reserves by Crypto.com and Gate.io. Crypto.com “mistakenly” transferred 320K ETH (~$416M) to a whitelisted Gate.io wallet on October 21. Gate.io transferred 285K ETH back within a week.

Recall that yesterday Binance shipped 127,351 Bitcoin worth more than $2B to an unknown wallet.

Besides Shiba Inu’s Whale accumulation, Shiba Inu Community continues to take out millions of Shiba Inu tokens from circulation almost daily. As a result, Shiba Inu’s burn rate spiked a whopping 4497% over the last day.

On the other hand, the major exchanges prefer Shiba Inu to be a part of their reserves. As per the recent report, Binance and Crypto.com collectively hold over 1.50 billion worth of SHIB in their reserves.

As Shiba Inu’s circulating supply is getting rare day after day, the mainstream adoption of SHIB is also on the rise. As reported earlier by TheCryptoBasic, U.S.-based financial services company Fidelity Investments hints at the potential listing of SHIB. The platform has recently launched commission-free cryptocurrency trading services for retail traders and currently supports only two major cryptocurrencies, i.e., Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Shiba Inu rebounds and is trading in the green today. As of writing, Shiba Inu is trading at the price of $0.000009239, up 1.82% over the last day with a 24-hours trading volume of $137,049,468 ($137.04M).

Terra Rebels Dismisses Rumors of Terminating LUNC Development

Terra Rebels have dispelled rumors suggesting they plan to terminate operations on the Terra Classic (LUNC) chain.

Terra Rebels, the independent community-driven organization dedicated to rejuvenating the Terra Classic (LUNC) token, has dispelled the recent increasingly circulating rumors that they plan to cease operations on the LUNC chain.

Cryptocurrency influencer and prominent LUNC community member Classy recently disclosed the information via Twitter. According to Classy, the Terra Rebels group confirmed that they would continue operations on the LUNC chain, as opposed to the rumors that they plan to stop working on the network.

Classy added that the group is only looking to develop a sustainable budgeted model of operations as it looks to switch from its previous voluntary model, which has not attracted any fees from the community. The budgeted model will provide a transparent budget of operations for the work the group is doing on the LUNC chain in order to get funded.

“Just received confirmation that $LUNC TerraRebels will continue their operations on the LUNC chain. They’re currently working on a budget model for the future but will continue helping our chain as promised,” Classy disclosed in a tweet Tuesday. The revelation has precipitated a wave of relief in the LUNC camp, as numerous community members received the disclosure well.

Before Classy’s recent remarks on the matter, a representative of the Terra Rebels administrative team, who goes by the pseudonym Clan Mudhorn officially debunked the claims through Twitter. The individual noted that they wish to dispel some of the recently propagated claims within the LUNC camp, highlighting the Terra Rebels (TR) rumors.

According to Clan Mudhorn, the Terra Rebels will continue working on producing software clients. Notwithstanding, they revealed, just like Classy, that the group is only looking to work on a budgeted model of operations.

“TR is not ceasing development. We are still here, and we continue to work towards producing software clients. We are simply shifting to a budgeted work model,” they said in a tweet Monday.

While the LUNC community has received the disclosure well, several members have claimed that the community should have already devised a means to compensate the group for its tireless efforts at working on the LUNC chain, as they pledge support for the budgeted model proposed.

The New Terra Rebels Sustainable Budgeted Work Model

Speaking on the newly-introduced model on Sunday, notable Terra community member and Terra Rebel’s admin ReXx sought to clarify the situation to assuage confusion.

ReXx revealed that, through the budgeted model, the Terra Rebels group would halt providing free development deliveries for the LUNC chain. Notwithstanding, the group will present a budget for any operations to the community that would be funded. ReXx also disclosed that the V23 network upgrade would be included in the budget.

ReXx shared a document outlining the proposal’s details (prop 0017) which presented the Sustainable Budgeted Work Model for the Terra Rebels group members. The proposal that Raider70 presented on October 28 outlined the pros and cons of switching to the budgeted model.

XRP Ledger-Based XRPayNet to Build Retail Payment System For 100s Of UAE Businesses

XRPayNet partners with top firms to enable UAE businesses to convert crypto payments to fiat.

XRPayNet, a payment solution built on XRP Ledger (XRPL), has partnered with three firms to allow hundreds of businesses in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to help them build a retail payment system.

In a recent announcement, XRPayNet noted that its CEO Kristian Poliszczuk partnered with Dubai-based ChainTech Labs, BAPESCLAN, and Esposito Intellectual Enterprises, for the initiative.

“In the last 30 minutes, our CEO Kristian has signed contracts with @ChainTechLabs @bapesclan and @brianjesposito on agreed terms for a retail payment system for hundreds of stores across the UAE,” XRPayNet noted.

XRPayNet

XRPayNet offers a crypto-to-fiat payment solution built on the XRP Ledger. It allows businesses to accept cryptocurrency payments in exchange for goods and services. This solution allows cryptocurrency holders to spend the asset class across selected stores. The nascent asset class is converted immediately into the business’ preferred conventional currency once payment is made due to the high volatility associated with crypto.

In a statement on its website, XRPayNet claims it is “redefining the industry standard for financial transactions” and will also “facilitate the conversion of consumer crypto payments made to businesses into their preferred conventional currency.”

Per XRPayNet, it converts cryptocurrency payments to fiat through its bank card and mobile application, thus allowing businesses to continue using their existing payment processing systems.

In a recent tweet, XRPayNet stated that it is building a bridge between crypto and fiat transactions while indicating plans to “incorporate” a Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL) service.

Growing Crypto Adoption in UAE

XRPayNet’s move to develop a crypto payment system for businesses in the UAE comes as the region is fast becoming a hub for cryptocurrency. According to data from Statista, UAE has the fifth-largest global cryptocurrency adoption rate at 34% this year.

Following the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies in the UAE, several crypto-related companies, including Kraken and Sygnum, were granted licenses by the UAE government.

Cryptocurrency bank Sygnum said it was granted in-principle approval by the UAE’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) to offer crypto services in the region.
