Blockchain Payment Solution  COTI Partners With WingRiders to Drive Adoption For Cardano Stablecoin.

Popular blockchain payment solution and stablecoin issuer COTI announced Wednesday that it has entered into a partnership with WingRiders, an Automated Market Maker (AMM) decentralized exchange, to explore Djed integration opportunities on Cardano.

For clarity, Djed is an over-collateralized algorithmic stablecoin backed by ADA, the governance and utility token that powers the activities of the Cardano blockchain and uses SHEN as a reserve asset. The partnership seeks to explore Djed integration opportunities across the Cardano ecosystem.

According to the official announcement, the deal aims to promote proper utilization of Djed by including the asset on the WingRiders platform, which aims to be an infrastructure element on Cardano with easy integration into any decentralized applications (dApp).

“We have been watching Djed’s development for a while, and it is great to see the first algorithmic stablecoin launch on Cardano. It has an interesting pegging mechanism using Shen, its reserve currency, which serves to provide price stability by guaranteeing the collateralization rate and the stablecoin’s peg,” said Kaaran Kalantari, a spokesperson for WingRiders.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time COTI has entered into agreements to promote DJed. In July, the blockchain payment solution signed a new partnership with Thrift, a platform that provides a suite of products for dApps to incorporate the token into their platform.

That same month, COTI inked another deal with Astarter, a decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure hub based in Cardano. The partnership aims to “bring the native Cardano stablecoin pairs for highly liquid asset trading on the Astarter DEX.”

Dogecoin Creator Discloses the Reason Why Top Businesses Don’t Accept Payments in DOGE

Billy Marcus has revealed why big businesses are not bullish on Dogecoin And Bitcoin payments.

Leading meme-based cryptocurrency, Dogecoin (DOGE), has enjoyed widespread adoption among online businesses due to its ability to settle transactions within seconds.

While DOGE has been adopted by top companies like Tesla and Dallas Mavericks in the past, the cryptocurrency is lagging behind in terms of its use as a payment tool.

In a recent tweet, a Dogecoin enthusiast sought to understand why DOGE has not been widely adopted by big businesses despite its enormous opportunities.

“Why do you think big businesses are reluctant to accept #Dogecoin as payment despite our blockchain being secure, our transaction fees are a fraction of a penny, no scams, no charge backs, more secure than Credit cards & debit cards?,” the Twitter user asked.

Dogecoin Founder’s Reaction

Responding to the question is none other than Billy Marcus, the co-creator of Dogecoin, who has always been outspoken about these issues.

Instead of answering the question directly, Marcus dragged Bitcoin into the conversation. He noted that Dogecoin is not the only cryptocurrency that has not enjoyed widespread adoption among top businesses, adding that “most businesses don’t accept bitcoin either.”

His reason for the slow adoption of crypto, including DOGE, as a payment tool is high taxes and the volatile asset class.

“Probably because taxes are a pain in the a**, and it’s volatile as f**k,” Marcus said in response to the question raised by a Dogecoin supporter.

High Volatility in Crypto

Crypto assets are known to be highly volatile. Investors can record huge gains in a matter of minutes and lose everything in a split second.

Not many companies will be prepared to take on such risks by accepting the nascent asset class as a payment method for their goods and services.

Interestingly, some top businesses, including Elon Musk’s Tesla and SpaceX, as well as the Dallas Mavericks, have declared support for Dogecoin payments in the past.

One of the major reasons Musk added support for DOGE is because the cryptocurrency is tipped to become the future currency of the internet.

Whale Alert observed the large movement of XRP from an unknown address to Binance.

The leading crypto whale tracking service is always in the business of tracking large cryptocurrency transfers among various cryptocurrency wallets.

This time, the cryptocurrency whale tracking service saw a whopping amount of Ripple (XRP) transferred from an unknown wallet to Binance, the world’s largest exchange by 24 hours trading volume.

According to Whale Alert, a total of 295,500,011 (229.5 million) XRP coins were sent from an unknown wallet to a Binance today at 12:39 PM (UTC). At the time of the transaction, the funds were worth $110.6 million. The funds were sent in a single transaction.

XRP Price Still Stable Despite the Transaction

A transaction of this sort usually suggests that the owner of the XRP coins transferred the funds to Binance for selling.

It is worth mentioning that the amount of XRP in the transaction is nothing compared to the volume of XRP traded across various exchanges in the last 24 hours. Per data on cryptocurrency aggregator platform Coingecko, XRP has a 24-hour trade volume of approximately $1.38 billion.

Based on this, the price of XRP will not be affected in any way. XRP is currently at break even in the last 24 hours, with the asset class changing hands at around $0.375.

Other Large XRP Movements in 24 Hours

Meanwhile, aside from the 295.5 million XRP sent to Binance, Whale Alert observed the movement of large Ripple coins between exchanges and crypto wallets in the last 24 hours.

Per Whale Alert, 30 million XRP ($11.29 million) were sent from an unknown wallet to Bitstamp, and another 31,769,271 XRP were transferred to an unnamed wallet from FTX.

Additionally, 44.98 million XRP flowed from Binance to an unknown wallet earlier today, while 30 million Ripple coins were sent to Bitso from an unknown wallet.

Ethereum Developers Clear Eight Big Misconceptions Surrounding The Merge As The Upgrade Approaches

0

Users may be disappointed as Ethereum developers clear up misconceptions surrounding The Merge.

In a blog post on Wednesday on Ethereum.org, developers debunk several misconceptions as they work to carry out the Ethereum Merge on the mainnet.

Some Ethereum users may be disappointed to find that following the Merge, there will be no reduction in the gas fee or increased transaction processing speed. Notably, significant scalability improvements through sharding are expected in future upgrades, which several pundits say are not coming anytime soon.

Additionally, developers clarify that users will not need to stake Ethereum to run a node. Some other vital clarifications include that users will not be able to withdraw staked ETH immediately after the Merge. Notably, staked ETH will be unlocked in the Shanghai upgrade.

Another thing to note is that The Merge upgrade will not result in network downtime. Developers explain that the Ethereum transition to proof-of-stake (PoS) is designed to happen with zero downtime.

Misconceptions Summary:

  1. “Running a node requires staking 32 ETH.
  2. The Merge will reduce gas fees.
  3. Transactions will be noticeably faster after The Merge.
  4. You can withdraw staked ETH once The Merge occurs.
  5. Validators will not receive any liquid ETH rewards til the Shanghai upgrade when withdrawals are enabled.
  6. When withdrawals are enabled, stakers will all exit at once.
  7.  Staking APR is expected to triple after The Merge.
  8. The Merge will result in downtime of the chain.”

It is worth noting that the migration of the Ethereum network from the proof-of-work (PoW) consensus model to the PoS mechanism has been years in the making. Some of the actual changes expected from The Merge include a massive reduction in Ethereum’s energy footprint and a similarly significant reduction in its supply. As explained by Lark Davis, this reduction in supply combined with its burning mechanism will make the asset deflationary.

The Merge is currently expected to launch on the mainnet on September 15. Notably, last Thursday, developers successfully launched The Merge on Goerli, the final Ethereum testnet.

Meanwhile, not everyone is excited about the network’s consensus mechanism shift. Notably, Ethereum miners are working to create a PoW fork of the Ethereum network.

As The Merge approaches, Ethereum has become the center of market speculation. Options traders now speculate that the asset price could plummet following the Merge. Ethereum is currently trading at the $1868 price point, 1.14% down in the last 24 hours but up 2.83% in the last seven days.

I Would Never Bet Against Bitcoin, Says Kraken CEO

Kraken CEO Says he can never go against Bitcoin.

Jesse Powell, CEO of the leading American cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, said in a recent interview with Bloomberg that he would never bet against Bitcoin (BTC), the first and largest digital currency in the world, after his previous prediction last year failed.

During the 2021 boom market, which saw BTC peak at $69 000 per coin, Powell made a forecast suggesting that one bitcoin would be able to purchase the luxurious Lamborghini vehicle while the coin was trading at around $48,000.

“Probably by the end of the year [2021], it’ll be one Bitcoin per Lambo, and probably by the end of next year [2022], it’ll be one Bitcoin per Bugatti,” he said.

The Kraken CEO said he is still very bullish on Bitcoin, noting that he purchased the cryptocurrency when bitcoin hit $18,000 recently over the economic meltdown that affected the entire global market.

“I bought Bitcoin again at 18,000, and I’m happy to ride it back up. I’m still bullish on the long run, and the fundamentals keep improving. I’d never bet against Bitcoin,” he said.

Powell also disclosed that he hopes to buy Bugatti with one BTC by the end of 2022, noting that the blockchain fundamentals have improved since inception.

Meanwhile, bitcoin is trading around $23,000 at press time, which is still a long run for Powell to acquire his Bugatti this year.

How to Accept Bitcoin Payments

0

Everyone involved in financial markets has certainly heard about Bitcoin. Thanks to the first decentralized and digital currency, users may carry out quick and cheap transactions without the involvement of intermediaries. On many exchanges, BTC can be exchanged into any fiat currency trader wish to.

Since Bitcoin is “borderless” and is entirely independent of banks and other centralized financial institutions to execute the payments, accepting it can help all types of businesses expand into new markets. Therefore, many ask, “How do I take Bitcoin?” By reading this article, you will find your answer.

To get the job done, a functional gateway for receiving cryptocurrencies must be implemented. Some may ask, what is a crypto gateway? Simply put, it is a third party that maintains, encodes, and transfers the payment on your behalf. Furthermore, it enables all businesses to accept Bitcoin and process those transactions on their behalf as well. Payment gateways for cryptocurrencies are the same as those for accepting credit and debit cards on every commercial website. Gateways make it straightforward to sell all sorts of content, such as items, blogs, podcasts, and others. Sellers receive the money without constantly worrying about charges and other additional expenses.

So, how to get started? First, obtain a crypto wallet, which will allow you to store, transfer and accept Bitcoin payments. Getting a wallet, which will enable you to store, transmit, and receive Bitcoin, is crucial for businesses to accept Bitcoin payments. Setting up the wallet enables your computer to create a combo of encryption keys. These keys include one public and one private key. Those are typically kept in your digital wallet unless you do not move them elsewhere manually. Due to the fact that each wallet serves a unique purpose, businesses are likely to keep multiple wallets.

Getting a wallet, which allows you to store, transmit, and receive Bitcoin, is the first step for businesses to accept Bitcoin payments. Setting up the wallet enables your computer to create a combination of encryption keys. These keys include one public and one private key. Those are typically kept in your digital wallet unless you do not move them elsewhere manually. Due to the fact that each wallet serves a unique purpose, businesses are likely to keep multiple wallets.

For instance, a website will need a wallet constantly linked to the Internet to accept payments. In addition, a company dealing with significant quantities of Bitcoins might go for a real paper wallet for cold storage or an offline hardware wallet.

Once a digital wallet is set, you may use it to generate a Bitcoin address that is linked directly to the wallet, which you can then add to your website’s payment page to enable clients to send you funds via Bitcoins.

Say you don’t have a digital wallet. You can then do this by posting your Bitcoin address on your company website or printing it out and posting it somewhere people can see it.

When making transactions, customers often have two options: sending Bitcoin immediately to the specified address or paying by scanning a code containing that address. Ensure that all the payment details you submit are secured to avoid any mistakes.

The price of accepting Bitcoin payments is the same as sending them. However, businesses must pay a small fee when sending transactions.

Now, let’s say your company transacts constantly or in substantial volumes of Bitcoin. In such a situation, you might like to learn the best ways to set up your wallet, such as making backups, protecting it with various encryption keys, and ensuring that the wallet is periodically updated.

A Bitcoin payment service that will stand between you and clients who want to pay with BTC, is just another option that businesses might want to consider. Suppose something undesirable happens to the business. Bitcoins you store, however, may still be recovered thanks to the additional layer of security that the Bitcoin payment processors offer.

With these precautions, receiving Bitcoin payments is a relatively simple process. As we previously stated, accepting payment in this manner has a clear advantage in that extra charges and fees are not an issue. Moreover, when you accept credit cards, there is always a chance that a consumer will purchase something with their card credit. While doing so, there is always a chance that something might dispute the transaction, leading to a potentially lost client.

To sum it up, BTC could be used by any kind of firm to make global payments instantly, ensuring robust security. In most cases, the costs of doing so can be much more than adding it as a new payment option. Additionally, because Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency, there are no centralized financial institutions that will charge fees as the money is transferred straight from the client to the business.

Therefore, people who choose to utilize Bitcoin as a payment method have access to fundamental advantages and capabilities that are not available with conventional payment methods.

Cryptocurrency Processing Platform — What? Why? How?

0

Cryptocurrency processing platforms offer merchants a combination of features and services that can benefit tremendously. Merchants or e-commerce owners can facilitate transactions with the help of a cryptocurrency processing platform.

What does cryptocurrency processing platform stand for?

An application that enables merchants to process cryptocurrency transactions is referred to as a cryptocurrency processing platform, which generally provides tools such as pro payment gateways, merchant accounts, and shopping carts being an integral part of them.

The term ‘crypto processor’ is also used to describe them. Compared to classic processors, a crypto processor does not require a credit card number or three-digit security code to execute a transaction. Moreover, with blockchain technology at the heart of the transaction, both merchant and customer can complete the transaction securely, making it safer for all parties involved, including other users on the shared network who may be applied on both sides.

To sell their products, merchants can accept Bitcoin payments and other digital currencies through a Bitcoin payment gateway. This is an excellent solution for businesses wishing to gain new customers and boost sales by taking advantage of the growing number of cryptocurrency users.

What are the benefits of using a crypto processing platform?

It has been shown that crypto processing platforms provide some benefits over classic payment options on several e-commerce websites. Among these advantages are low transaction fees, which lower the costs associated with accepting digital assets, especially for merchants that deal with large volumes. Moreover, due to some blockchain networks’ characteristics, there is no limit to the speed at which purchases can be made.

Which merchants can benefit from a cryptocurrency processing platform?

Crypto processing platforms are available to any merchant who wishes to receive Bitcoin payments. Anyone can use crypto assets to make payments without worrying about hefty fees, long waiting periods, or long processing times. In certain niche markets, however, some businesses may reap more significant benefits than others. If you are a retailer dealing with expensive items such as luxury cars, this will substantially benefit you since it increases your trust level with your potential customers.

Additional features offered by the platform include a number that will help them provide better services to their customers. Businesses can depend on the system as a way to accept digital currencies for payments because it is entirely secure and trustworthy. Since cryptocurrency processing platforms use blockchain technology, there is no need to worry about security breaches when using third-party processors. Along with payment gateways like shopping carts, APIs, and plugins, cryptocurrency processing platforms also provide easy integration with any e-commerce store for merchants. Furthermore, they offer round-the-clock customer service because they understand that merchants need to be able to get answers to a variety of questions whenever it is convenient for them.

How to utilize a crypto processing platform?

Registering on a cryptocurrency payment processing provider’s website, which usually takes only a few minutes, will enable you to begin accepting cryptocurrency payments. Following that, you can integrate or attach their payment modules with any e-commerce site based on the plugins or APIs they provide, allowing you to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment for any purchases made on your website. It is not necessary to possess technical knowledge regarding blockchain technology since everything is handled automatically on their end after payment has been received from your client. Upon receiving the crypto assets in your account, they will inform you immediately that it has been safely deposited. You may also ask them questions regarding these terms and conditions if you are unfamiliar with them. They will be pleased to assist you.

Cryptocurrency processing platforms offer a wide range of features and services that benefit merchants. They can earn greater profits by providing low transaction fees, resulting in more savings for both parties. Moreover, thanks to the speedy process, they can receive payments much more quickly than they would have with traditional methods, resulting in satisfied customers. So, make sure you deal with a reliable cryptocurrency processing platform if you are about to start selling goods online.
