Atomic Wallet launches an opportunity for more crypto enthusiasts to adopt BabyDoge.

Atomic Wallet, a leading non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet, has announced that enthusiasts of the popular meme-based token Baby DogeCoin (BabyDoge) can purchase the token directly from its platform.

The popular cryptocurrency wallet made this known in an announcement today. According to Atomic Wallet, more than 4 million users can now purchase BabyDoge using their SEPA or credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard, in 18 local currencies.

“Now BabyDogeCoin is available for purchase on AtomicWallet! Buy BabyDogeCoin with VISA/MC or SEPA in 18 local currencies,” Atomic Wallet tweeted today.

Atomic Wallet Features

Following the announcement, BABYDOGE has now joined the long list of cryptocurrencies supported on the Atomic Wallet exchange platform.

At the time of writing, the non-custodial decentralized wallet supports crypto assets like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Tezos (XTZ), Ethereum Classic (ETC), VeChain (VET), Polkadot (DOT), etc.

Atomic Wallet is a non-custodial decentralized wallet that gives its users access to their assets and private keys. The cryptocurrency wallet launched in 2017, the period when cryptocurrency popularity skyrocketed. Since its launch, Atomic Wallet has been adopted by more than four million users.

Atomic Wallet can be downloaded on PC (Windows and MacOS) and smartphones, including Android and iOS devices.

Aside from securely storing and buying supported cryptocurrencies, Atomic Wallet users can also swap, stake, and exchange the various assets supported on the platform.

BabyDoge Popularity Continues to Surge

Meanwhile, the development goes on to portray the growing popularity of BabyDoge, which has continued to be on the increase lately.

Launched on July 1, 2021, the Baby Doge Coin is listed across various platforms, including crypto exchanges and wallets.

As BabyDoge’s popularity continues to grow massively, more use cases are being rolled out for the token.

Earlier this month, TheCryptoBasic reported that merchants across the world can now accept the meme coin as a payment method. This came after FCF added support for BabyDoge to its payment infrastructure.

Meanwhile, news of Atomic Wallet adding support for BabyDoge did not have much effect on the price of the cryptocurrency.

According to data on Binance-acquired CoinMarketCap, BabyDoge is trading at $0.000000001354, up only 1% in the past 24 hours.

Cardano’s IOG Becomes The First Blockchain Company To Become A Member Of AmCham Mongolia

IOG becomes an AmCham Mongolia member.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia, AmCham Mongolia, revealed that Input-Output Global (IOG), formerly Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), has become the newest member of the independent organization.

“[AmCham Members] We are very excited to announce our newest member @InputOutputHK, a leading technology company committed to the highest principles of academic rigor and evidence-based software development,” AmCham Mongolia tweeted via their official handles, disclosing that it would be meeting with Charles Hoskinson and his team.

IOHK also shared the achievement.

It is worth noting that a look at the members’ page reveals that IOG is the only blockchain company to be partnered with the organization. Following the latest announcement, it would not be surprising to see IOG launch several blockchain initiatives in the East Asian country as it is doing in Africa.

Notably, the Cardano developers have previously disclosed plans to launch various blockchain initiatives in regions like Africa. For example, Hoskinson revealed plans to launch a peer-to-peer (P2P) lending network in Africa in February. Additionally, in April, it partnered with iceaddis to launch a program to support African startups. Furthermore, in May, IOG revealed it was edging closer to the launch of a blockchain-based educational system in Ethiopia.

It is worth noting that crypto and blockchain adoption is growing significantly in developing countries with little trust in central systems. IOG recognizes this and looks set on doing its part to encourage blockchain adoption in these regions.

Meanwhile, the Cardano network itself is on the cusp of a major milestone. Notably, the network is edging closer to the long-awaited Vasil hard fork. The upgrade is slated to launch on the mainnet at the end of this month, ushering in a wave of DApps, with better scalability and throughput.

Over 573.94 Million Shiba Inu (SHIB) have been burned in 24 hours; 519.45 Million in one significant transaction by an unknown user.

According to Shibburn.com, Shiba Inu Community has sent 573,944,829 (573.94M) Shiba Inu to dead wallets through 31 separate transactions in the past 24 hours.

During the specified period, the mysterious wallet contributed the major part of the burn sending a whopping 519,456,549 (519.45M) SHIB to the “inferno” address in one noteworthy transaction, Shibburn.com reports.

Upon investigation, TheCryptoBasic found that the mysterious wallet came into existence on 16th November 2021. Since its inception, the unidentified wallet has burned a total of 1,121,623,326 (1.12B) Shiba Inu in three separate transactions.

SEC vs. Ripple: Court Grants Parties’ Narrowly Tailored Requests to Redact Documents Linked to Amici’s Motion

0

The parties’ request to redact portions of documents associated with Amici’s motion to participate in the lawsuit has been granted.

U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres has approved requests made by Ripple and the SEC to execute narrowly tailored redactions to the documents filed in connection to Amici’s motion to participate in an upcoming challenge of one of SEC’s experts.

According to the order, Judge Torres noted that she finds the SEC and Ripple’s requests to be “narrowly tailored” to preserve the higher values cited in their respective letters last week.

Court’s Order

Following the court’s approval of the parties’ request, both the SEC and Ripple are expected to publicly file unsealed versions of their objections and responses today.

While the SEC will file the unsealed version of its opposition to Amici’s request publicly to participate in the expert challenge, Ripple will publicly file its response to the SEC’s objection.

The parties are also expected to submit supporting exhibits during the public filing of their respective motions.

After unsealed versions of the SEC’s opposition have been publicly filed, Amici must file its response to the objection on or before July 25, 2022.

Brawl Over Amici’s Motion

Amici’s request to participate in the challenge of one of SEC’s experts has recently been a major bone of contention.

It is publicly known that the SEC objects to this request. However, the contents of the SEC’s objection are still unknown to the public because the Securities and Exchange Commission requested that it seal its opposition in its entirety to protect experts from harassment and threats.

Ripple objected to the SEC’s request to seal its objection, saying the agency should provide narrowly tailored redaction. Along the line, Ripple also requested the sealing of the contents of one of the exhibits submitted by the SEC, which it claims is vital to its business.

Parties’ Motion Granted and Denied in Part

In a ruling made last week, Judge Torres granted in part and denied in part the parties’ request. She stated that sealing vital judicial documents away from the public would have negative consequences on the United States’ justice system.

According to Judge Torres, people may lose confidence in the country’s justice system when they are denied access to essential court documents.

Following her ruling, the parties had to make their respective narrowly tailored requests. The SEC requested that the name of its expert be excluded from its objection to Amici’s motion to participate in the expert challenge.

However, Ripple requested that the email addresses of two of its employees cited in one of the exhibits be excluded from the document.

Judge Torres believes their requests are narrowly tailored enough, prompting her to approve them.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse Jokes On Jed McCaleb XRP Sell Off: “Tacos Anyone? JK The Stand is Closed”

0

The Ripple community lets out a sigh of relief as Jed McCaleb finally sells off all his XRP holdings after eight years.

In a tweet on Monday, Ripple chief Brad Garlinghouse confirmed the conclusion of Jed McCaleb’s XRP sell-off with a witty Tacos joke.

“Tacos anyone? JK the stand is closed,” Garlinghouse tweeted, responding to the announcement even as Ripple published a blog post titled “The Stand is Finally Out of Tacos.”

It is worth noting that on Monday, The Crypto Basic reported that only 46.7 XRP remained in the famous TacoStand wallet. Notably, Jed McCaleb had no issues dispatching 5.32 million XRP in a couple of days after speculations that the former Ripple executive had planned to pause his asset sell-off.

McCaleb, one of the founders of Ripple, a blockchain payments giant, had served as the firm’s Chief Technology Officer for a couple of months in 2013. Notably, as a founder, he received a cache of 9 billion XRP, which he committed to selling following his exit from the company. It is worth noting that McCaleb made over $3 billion from the sale in the last eight years.

Notably, McCaleb’s position has contributed greatly to the selling pressure on the asset. It has been a major cause for concern, especially as the token’s price has already taken a major hit following the SEC suit in December 2020.

Following the announcement, several users have expressed excitement and new bullish sentiment for the token price.

Meanwhile, the complete sale of McCaleb’s XRP holdings is the latest in a line of positive news for the XRP network. Last week, The Crypto Basic reported that Ripple scored a major win in its legal battle with the SEC, fueling positive sentiment for the network.

At the time of writing, XRP is trading at the $0.3588 price point, 1.48% down in the last 24 hours but up 13.47% in the last seven days.

Attorney Deaton: SEC Not Suing Jed McCaleb For Selling XRP Shows Its Claims Against Ripple Are “Inconsistent and Illegitimate”

0

John Deaton Says Why SEC does not see Jed McCaleb “earning $2.56B from sales of XRP SINCE THE DATE THE LAWSUIT WAS FILED!”

Attorney Deaton noted that if the SEC is convinced that Ripple breached its laws via its 2013 ICO, then the agency should have added McCaleb because he made more money than the $1.3 billion disgorgement fee.

Attorney John Deaton said if the SEC claims that Ripple and two of its executives, Chris Larsen and Brad Garlinghouse, raised $1.3 billion at the expense of investors, then the company’s co-founder Jed McCaleb should also be roped into the lawsuit for earning more.

According to Deaton, who requested to represent over 68,000 XRP investors in the upcoming Daubert challenge of one of SEC’s experts, McCaleb made more money than the $1.3 billion disgorgement fee the agency seeks.

McCaleb Sold His XRP After SEC Filed Charges Against Ripple

Recall that the Ripple co-founder and former CTO was gifted 9 billion units of XRP for his contributions to the project.

After McCaleb left Ripple, the company and two of its executives were charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission for selling unregistered securities in the U.S. The SEC capitalized on the fact that Ripple raised $1.3 billion at the expense of investors.

While the SEC faced charges in the U.S. for allegedly violating the country’s securities law, McCaleb had consistently sold XRP to investors.

In the aftermath of the lawsuit, McCaleb earned $2.56 billion from selling his XRP.

“Yet, the co-founder, Jed McCaleb, earned $2.56B from sales of #XRP SINCE THE DATE THE LAWSUIT WAS FILED!

That is nearly DOUBLE the amount the SEC seeks from the Defendants that were sued. It should be noted that Ripple has also sold XRP since the lawsuit was filed as well,” attorney Deaton said.

Attorney Deaton Ripple’s Co-Founder Should Be Sued

While attorney Deaton noted that he does not have anything against McCaleb’s sales of his XRP gift, he believes the Ripple co-founder should also be added to the list of Defendants like Garlinghouse and Larsen.

“But, if you accept the SEC’s allegations as true, he has been violating the law and enriching himself,” he said.

Attorney Deaton added that he did not mean to draw the SEC’s attention to the former Ripple executive. However, his main focus is on the fact that the SEC’s claims have been inconsistent and illegitimate.

The lawyer who was granted Amici status in the lawsuit added that if the agency is convinced that Ripple violated U.S. securities laws, it would have stopped the company and McCaleb from selling more XRP.

“If it’s clearly illegal, you don’t allow the Defendants to keep breaking the law so they can pay their attorneys to make sure that they can continue breaking the law,” attorney Deaton said.

Ripple Continued Selling XRP Despite Lawsuit

Despite the ongoing lawsuit, Ripple has not ceased to sell at least 200 million units of XRP after unlocking the usual 1 billion XRP monthly. The idea behind selling the token is mostly to cater to the company’s day-to-day expenses.

With the SEC lawsuit being the major issue Ripple is currently facing, it is safe to assume that a majority of the revenue generated in monthly sales is channeled to paying attorneys’ fees.

Last week, Garlinghouse said Ripple would have spent over $100 million by the end of the lawsuit.

Has Coinbase Halted Customer Withdrawals? As Users Reportedly Facing Withdrawal Issues

Rumors are circulating online that the leading crypto exchange is troubling customers with their withdrawals.

CryptoWhale, in a tweet on Monday, reveals that leading US crypto exchange Coinbase is trying to suppress Redditors’ comments showing that they cannot withdraw from the platform.

“CoinBase is deleting Reddit posts & comments about customers not being able to withdrawal funds,” CryptoWhale tweeted with screenshots drawing attention to the situation.

Several tweets have surfaced on the microblogging platform of shock restrictions on Coinbase accounts. Notably, several users reveal that they have not been able to withdraw to fiat in recent days.

Twitter Users

A Twitter user with the pseudonym “Life In Our Fifties” tweeted last Friday, “Is it just my account or has Coinbase taken the ‘Cash out’ option off of all accounts?”

Damoz tweets today, “I can’t withdraw in fiat.”

@abdul12345591 Says: “@coinbase my account has been restricted for no reason, I’ve sent multiple tickets but still haven’t received any feedback, kindly look into it for me.”

@William68318296 comments: “Why is the cash-out option no longer working?”

@co_gfc says: “yall gettin sketchy with the withdraw process.”

It is worth noting that the latest crypto winter has been especially tough for the leading crypto exchange, which went public in 2021. Notably, Company shares have tanked by over 80% from highs of $355, now trading at around $58.

Meanwhile, at the end of June, investment bank Goldman Sachs in a research note, revealed that they expected Coinbase stock could fall by another 60%. According to Goldman Sachs, their immediate target for the stock is now $45.

Moreover, the company also recorded its first quarterly loss of about $430 million in Q1 2022. Consequently, in the face of increasingly difficult market conditions, the exchange laid off over 1000 staff to ease costs.

Additionally, data from Mizuho Securities USA last Thursday reveals that the exchange now ranks 14th by trading volume. Notably, this is a very worrying statistic considering that at the peak of the bull run, it ranked 4th.

Amidst the flurry of concerns this year, Peter Brandt, a veteran analyst, has often advised users to take their funds off the exchange. Brandt has warned that Coinbase going bankrupt, favored the exchange and stripped users of claims to their funds. Notably, Brandt has called out the exchange as a scam.

Recall that Coinbase published the financial report for the first quarter of 2022, which saw the San Francisco-based exchange record its first net loss of $430 million since the company went public in April 2021. According to the disclosure made by Coinbase in the Q1 2022 financial report, the exchange noted that if it goes bankrupt following its losses, it would hold customers’ assets as its property and consider them as general unsecured creditors.

It is worth noting that in the space of 2 months, three crypto firms have filed for bankruptcy owing to the plummeting prices of crypto assets. Should the latest speculations prove correct, Coinbase would be joining the likes of Three Arrows Capital, Voyager, and Celsius, who have all filed for bankruptcy.

Please also remember that Coinbase has not only reduced its employees due to crypto winter but also has turned off its affiliate program.

Large Investors Bitcoin Selling Grows, BTC Exchanges Inflow Intensifies as Crypto Market Recovers

Large Bitcoin Investors Embark on Massive BTC Sales Amid Price Increase.

As Bitcoin prices continue to soar, whale investors have been offloading their BTC holdings to record slight profit.

According to Ali Martinez, a famous crypto analyst who provides market analysis for top cryptocurrencies on Twitter, Bitcoin whales have been selling the digital currency since last week.

Citing Glassnode data, Martinez noted that 16 Bitcoin whales with at least a balance of 1,000 BTC or more had sold or redistributed their BTC holdings in the last seven days.

“Over the past week, roughly 16 addresses with a balance of 1,000 $BTC or more have sold or distributed their BTC holdings,” Martinez said.

Bitcoin Up 6% in Seven Days

The development comes as the price of Bitcoin continues to surge over the past few days. The world’s largest cryptocurrency, which saw its value dip below $18,000 last month, rallied back to $20,000 at the end of last week.

Bitcoin is up 6% in the last seven days, as it currently trades slightly above $22,000. While the value of BTC in the last seven days has been nothing compared to what other altcoins like Polygon (MATIC) recorded, Bitcoin whale investors are not sleeping on the slight price increase of the top asset class.

Whale investors have continued to take profit as Bitcoin rallies because many still believe the asset class is yet to find a bottom in the current bear market.

Analysts like Peter Brandt predicted Bitcoin’s bottom to be around $12,700 levels. So far, the digital currency is yet to dip below the $17,700 recorded last month.

Bitcoin Whales Take Advantage of Bitcoin Rally

Interestingly, whales are not prepared to see Bitcoin dip to $12,700, as they continue to take profit whenever the opportunity arises.

Meanwhile, the number of Bitcoin sent to popular cryptocurrency exchanges has also been on the increase lately. This suggests widespread interest among investors in selling the asset class.

Martinez, who also cited Glassnode data, noted that a total of 32,000 Bitcoin worth around $706.75 million at press time have been sent to crypto exchanges in the last four days.

“Nearly 32,000 $BTC, worth roughly $672 million, has been sent to known crypto exchange wallets over the past four days,” Martinez tweeted.

TIME’s Metaverse Cover: The Story Behind It

0

The story that stands behind TIME magazine’s Metaverse cover.

A few weeks ago, TIME Magazine continued its foray into the world of cryptocurrencies and NFTs by partnering with blockchain-based gaming company The Sandbox to build TIME Square in the metaverse. This partnership was part of TIME Magazine’s ongoing effort to expand its presence in the digital economy.

Now, TIME Magazine has come up with its own version of a metaverse magazine. According to the company’s blog, in order to accurately portray the metaverse on the cover of TIME, they enlisted the services of a well-known digital explorer to lead them through this novel and the fantastical universe.

Ex-MLB shortstop Micah Johnson, now a computer artist, created a picture of a virtual doorway with his character Aku, whom Johnson deems the world’s first digital explorer.

Upon overhearing a little child question his mother, “Can astronauts be black?,” Johnson created Aku and gave him a big astronaut helmet and a desire to go on adventures when he designed the character.

Johnson told times on AKU cover:

“I wanted to present him in a way that he’s welcoming others into the world that gave him this incredible platform to begin his journey; he’s most interested in exploring the past. He is able to learn from the giants that came before him who achieved their dreams in the face of adversity, and he’s also able to see people who were denied access to their dreams because of their socioeconomic situation, gender, their race, or any other limiting circumstances.”.

Johnson became the first NFT artist to obtain a big TV and film development agreement as a result of the success of his digital character, which produced more than $20 million in sales in less than a year and made Johnson the first NFT artist.

According to what was written by Matthew Ball in the cover story of this issue of TIME, the metaverse is a network of linked immersive digital experiences that will one day come to include practically all locations, people, and aspects of our existence. Johnson, who is 31 years old, also desired the cover picture to convey what he views as the book’s boundless potential.

Before recognizing the potential of NFTs and digital art, Johnson began his artistic career by painting on a conventional canvas. Today, Johnson is the owner and operator of a 3D animation business.

Bitcoin Still Facing Strong Resistance By 200-Weekly Moving Average, Must Cross The Hurdle To Rally Further

Bitcoin is still struggling to break the 200-week Moving average (MA) that, if crossed, could trigger a run for $28k.

The world’s top crypto is apparently trying to gather steam after weeks of bear attacks. While Bitcoin seems to have gained a bit over the last 24 hours, the momentum is still not enough to push it significantly. At the moment, the coin is valued at just around $22,120.

However, this price point puts Bitcoin below the resistance level established at around $22,850, where 200-weekly MA acts as a strong resistance. That’s according to new data posted by Rekt Capital. Bitcoin must reach and breach this point to record any significant movement.

rekkt capital

No Continuation Expected

According to another famous trader, Michael van de Poppe, the current market setting doesn’t seem to favor any big continuation of the current push. In a tweet, Michael opined that range resistance, coupled with the situation below the 200-week MA, makes it hard for Bitcoin’s price to move upwards. However, he did offer an opinion on what could trigger a good movement.

Continuation Would Take Price To $28k

At the current price level, Bitcoin must consolidate to build up enough momentum for a bigger push. According to the trader, a slight consolidation could give the coin enough steam to break above the resistance at around $22.6k and make a dash for the $28k range.

Granted, Bitcoin isn’t the only coin in the market to experience stagnation. As a matter of fact, numerous other cryptos have seen high volatility and bottomed out at over a 90% downturn from their previous ATH. The situation was made worse by the collapse of Terra Luna and UST a few weeks ago. However, going by what experts say, the Bitcoin market is still optimistic.
