XRP Price Glitch Pushes Value to $21,000 on Live TV

0

Another XRP price glitch has surfaced, this time on live American TV, with the value of the altcoin suddenly soaring to tens of thousands.

XRP has been the subject of multiple price glitches over the past few years, but this trend seemed to have paused in Q4 2024 and Q1 2025. Interestingly, a recent re-occurrence has taken the XRP community by storm, especially considering the rate of change and the potential audience reach.

This week, amid the market recovery that began on Sunday, cable news channel Real America’s Voice presented an outlook on the cryptocurrency market during the American Sunrise Early Edition hosted by Jake Novak.

XRP Price Soars to $21K

However, the market data in the presentation showed some interesting variations from real values. Notable among these variations was the fact that XRP soared to a price of $21,355 in an apparent glitch. This figure represented a 961,936% increase from the altcoin’s actual value of $2.22 at the time.

This XRP price glitch persisted throughout the episode’s market outlook, with the price of the asset fluctuating between $2.22 and $21,355 on the window. Several XRP community members have called attention to this incident, which represents one of multiple XRP price glitch instances over the years.

Interestingly, the latest glitch appears to have been a general issue, not unique to XRP. Data shows that Bitcoin (BTC) also observed a drastic price variation, with its value dropping to $43,636 during the market outlook. This was a massive 49% drop from its real-world price of $86,246 at the time of the presentation.

Notably, Novak confirmed that the “graph had gone a little funky,” highlighting a technical issue with the market outlook presentation. However, the political analyst only spotlighted Bitcoin’s price anomaly, ignoring the XRP price glitch and the aberration with other asset prices.

Other Price Glitches
Other Price Glitches

For instance, Ethereum (ETH), which changed hands at $2,345, shot up to about $6,000, marking a 156% increase. Further, Solana (SOL) rose from $139 to $2,896, a more substantial 1,983% surge. Meanwhile, Dogecoin (DOGE) rose 15,900% from $0.22 to $32, and Cardano (ADA) increased 10,198% from $0.67 to 69.

Multiple Cases of XRP Price Glitch

Notably, despite the general effect of the technical issue, the XRP price glitch represented the largest price variation. Some XRP community members have continued to point to glitches such as this as suggesting that XRP price is not where it ought to be.

However, a few skeptics call attention to the fact that other assets have witnessed similar glitches, downplaying these speculations. Pundits like “Mr. Intuitive” have highlighted these claims, arguing that no other asset has experienced as many price glitches as XRP.

Most of these instances of XRP price glitch dominated the market in 2023 and 2024. In March 2023 community members identified an XRP price spike from $0.57 to $74 on a lesser-known exchange Atlantis. Also, XRP surged to $50 on Gemini in August 2023 shortly after the exchange listed the asset.

Cardano Founder Says US Government Could Accumulate ADA to Power Election System

0

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has stirred excitement with a hypothetical scenario where the government could use Cardano to power elections.

Amid President Donald Trump’s growing interest in and influence on crypto, several projects and communities continue to search for ways to align themselves with the administration, and the Cardano (ADA) community is no different.

Over the past 24 hours, a clip showing Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson discussing a U.S. election system built on the Cardano network has left users excited.

Here’s what’s going on.

Using Cardano for US Elections?

In an 18-second clip that has made the rounds on X, Hoskinson speculates about the U.S. government choosing to run elections on Cardano, noting that the government would have to accumulate ADA to pay for the election system, not for speculative interest.

Unsurprisingly, this video has gotten several users excited about such a future despite the lack of evidence that any such plans are in the works.

It is worth noting that Hoskinson’s statements came as he raised concerns about the confusion surrounding the Trump administration’s crypto reserve push on a Thursday, March 27, episode of the Gokhstein Media podcast.

Hoskinson Suggests An Alternative Approach

For context, earlier in the month, Trump fired off a series of posts on Truth Social, stating that the U.S. crypto strategic reserve will include XRP, SOL, and ADA. This sent the markets into frenzied excitement while also sparking concerns that he was choosing winners and losers.

Days later, the president signed an executive order establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve and a digital asset stockpile from seized assets, noting that the U.S. would only explore means to add to the Bitcoin reserve, not the digital asset stockpile.

This mixed messaging has caused confusion over how the reserve would function, a sentiment that Hoskinson shares.

Hoskinson noted that instead of the current approach, he would have suggested that the government start with Bitcoin and then create an index-scoring model for altcoins. This would have allowed the government to hold different assets for different utilities without concerns that it was choosing winners and losers.

It is within this context that he drew an analogy about the government accumulating ADA for election purposes.

Nonetheless, the Cardano founder appeared optimistic about the current administration overall.

Beyond the crypto reserve situation, he contended that there was a real chance that the U.S. could pass a stablecoin bill in the next three months and a market structure bill by August 2025. He made these claims based on interactions with lawmakers at the recent DC Blockchain Summit

Solana Nears $130 as Bearish Pressure Mounts: Will it Test $117?

The price of Solana is nearing the $130 support level amid network slowdowns and rising fears, suggesting a possible retest of the $117 mark.

As the crypto market experiences $330 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, Solana faces a surge in supply. Solana‘s market price has dropped by nearly 5% in the past 24 hours and is currently trading at $132.

Amid increasing selling pressure, this decline indicates a failure to extend the bullish breakout rally. Could this result in a pullback to the $117 support level?

Solana Analysis Reveals Potential $117 Retest

On the 4-hour price chart, Solana’s price trend showed a bullish breakout of a falling channel pattern. However, the breakout rally failed to surpass the dynamic resistance of the 200-Exponential Moving Average (EMA) line.

Solana Price Chart
Solana Price Chart

After a bearish reversal from the $145 mark, the SOL price trend has now fallen to $132. The price has dropped by 2.97% in the past 4 hours, breaking below the 50 and 100 EMA lines.

As the price drops below these crucial moving averages, the 4-hour Relative Strength Index (RSI) has plunged to 37.84, reflecting increasing bearish momentum.

Upon closer inspection, the short-term price movement suggests the breakdown of a head-and-shoulders pattern. The pattern’s decline aligns with the $135 support level.

With this bearish pattern breakdown, the ongoing decline suggests a potential retest of the $117 swing low.

Bearish Sentiments Rise in Solana Futures

As bearish momentum gradually increases, Solana’s derivatives market has seen a decrease in open interest. Solana’s open interest has fallen by 3.96% to $4.93 billion.

Solana Derivatives
Solana Derivatives

With the decline in open interest, bullish positions have dropped, alongside liquidations of $9.96 million in the past 24 hours, signaling a reduction in bullish sentiment.

This has caused the long-to-short ratio to drop to 0.9384, while the funding rate has turned negative at -0.0012%. As a result, the derivatives market has seen an increase in bearish sentiment.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez notes that the short-term price movement is a leverage-driven correction. The analyst anticipates liquidations of $69 million in short liquidations if Solana experiences an upswing to $140.

Network Slowdown Amid Declining SOL Prices

Amid the declining Solana prices, the network’s strength weakens. As per the data from Glassnode, the total transfer volume on the Solana network has sharply dropped to $2.58 billion.

Furthermore, the transaction count is down to 42.70 million. As the Solana network experiences a minor slowdown, the demand for SOL could witness a steeper fall resulting in lower prices.

Cardano Bull Gambardello Uncovers Surprising ADA Link to Incoming SEC Chair Paul Atkins

Dan Gambardello, a well-known Cardano bull and crypto analyst, has uncovered a surprising connection between Cardano and Paul Atkins, the incoming SEC Chair.

Atkins, who reportedly holds up to $6 million in crypto assets (excluding Bitcoin), is currently undergoing the Senate Banking Committee’s screening process. Industry commentators believe his leadership at the SEC could significantly redirect the current state of crypto regulation.

In his latest video, Gambardello highlights how the former SEC Commissioner’s past involvement with Cardano could influence the future of the blockchain and crypto industry.

Paul Atkins’ Link to Cardano

Gambardello pointed out that Atkins, the nominee to replace Gary Gensler as SEC Chair, once casually featured on Input Output’s YouTube channel—the official platform of Cardano’s parent company—in 2020.

During this appearance, Atkins discussed the prospects of blockchain technology and its mainstream adoption. This contrasts with Gensler’s stance, which has been more critical of crypto, as he targeted crypto companies with lawsuits.

Atkins’s past involvement with Cardano highlights his awareness of the blockchain’s potential. Some suggest that his leadership at the SEC could offer a more favorable environment for cryptocurrencies like Cardano, but this remains speculative at press time.

Notably, during his confirmation hearing on Thursday, Atkins made crypto regulation a top priority. He emphasized the need for clear, efficient regulations to foster market innovation and protect investors.

Atkins plans to work with Congress and fellow commissioners to create a solid regulatory framework for digital assets.

Some lawmakers, like Senator Tim Scott, support his approach. Meanwhile, others, including Senator Elizabeth Warren, have raised concerns over potential conflicts of interest due to Atkins’s significant crypto holdings. The Senate Banking Committee will soon vote on his nomination.

Institutional Interest in Cardano Growing

As Cardano continues to build momentum, institutional interest in the project is rising steadily. Gambardello notes that major financial players are embracing ADA. He cited that Interactive Brokers recently added ADA, alongside other major altcoins like Solana and XRP, to its crypto trading platform.

Additionally, ADA is now available on NuBank, a Berkshire Hathaway-backed neobank that boasts over 100 million users across Latin America.

What This Means for ADA

Despite these bullish developments, ADA’s price has yet to experience a major breakout. Gambardello attributes this to the broader monetary cycle, noting that Federal Reserve liquidity injections fueled previous bull markets.

With quantitative tightening (QT) expected to wind down, a rise in liquidity could trigger a significant rally for ADA.

Gambardello highlighted that ADA has already climbed from its long-standing $0.30 range to around $0.73. While short-term volatility remains a possibility, he stressed that the long-term outlook remains extremely bullish.

Top Analyst Shares Three Steps to Becoming Rich with XRP

Crypto analyst Steph has shared a simple yet strategic approach to wealth accumulation using XRP, based on altcoin and Bitcoin market cycles.

The method revolves around timing XRP buys and sells according to BlockchainCenter’s Bitcoin and Altcoin Season Index. At present, the index sits at 18, indicating a strong Bitcoin season, which has historically been unfavorable for altcoins.

For instance, as the market is largely bearish, Bitcoin trades with a year-to-date loss of 8%. Meanwhile, altcoins like Dogecoin and Ethereum are trading with an astonishing 42% YTD loss. Moreover, data from CoinCodex shows that Bitcoin is currently outperforming 77% of the most prominent altcoins in the market.

According to Steph’s approach, this is the ideal time to accumulate promising altcoins like XRP.

3 Steps to Build Wealth with XRP

The strategy suggests buying XRP when the index is below 25 (Bitcoin Season). The idea is that during this time, most altcoins would be trading at a massive discount. For instance, at $2.60, XRP is trading at a 25% discount compared to the higher level it sold for two months ago.

For those who capitalize on these perceived lows, Steph’s next strategy suggests selling the accumulated XRP tokens when the index is above 75 (Altcoin Season). During this time, altcoins tend to steal the spotlight from Bitcoin and outperform it with massive price surges.

Steph sees this as the ideal moment to start booking profits. In the third step, the analyst urges crypto investors to repeat the process to maximize gains. In his view, these are the three steps to becoming rich with XRP.

Historical Context of Altcoin Season and How XRP Performed

Notably, according to the chart accompanying Steph’s tweet, there have been two notable instances in this season where the crypto market index exceeded 75 and altcoins outperformed Bitcoin.

Image
Chart showing altcoin and Bitcoin season indices

The first instance was in the first quarter of 2024. During this time, Bitcoin initially peaked at $73K. The impact of the gains spilled over to altcoins.

Meme coins, in particular, staged spectacular performances, with the likes of Shiba Inu orchestrating a 4X surge in less than two weeks. A CoinGecko report showed that some coins, like BRETT, even saw a 77X surge. Notably, XRP did not fully capitalize on the buoyant market in Q1 2024.

As expected, a cool-off occurred, and these top performers lost most of their gains. Meanwhile, another altcoin season surfaced in the last quarter of 2024.

This time, utility tokens like XRP and Cardano dominated the market trend. XRP pulled off one of the biggest gains, seeing nearly a 6X surge in 12 weeks.

While most altcoins have lost the gains accrued from Q4 2024, XRP continues to preserve most of the gains despite Bitcoin’s volatility.

Now, market participants are eager for the next round of altcoin season, with expectations that XRP will lead the trend again. Steph, in particular, is calling for a price target as high as $1,452 for XRP. However, this remains largely speculative.

SEC Closes Investigation Into CryptoCom Without Recommending Enforcement Action

0

The U.S. SEC has closed its investigation into Crypto.com without recommending any enforcement action against the exchange.

In a press release yesterday, Crypto.com confirmed that the SEC had closed its investigation, and that no enforcement action would be filed against the exchange.

SEC Investigation into CryptoCom

Recall that the former SEC administration issued a Wells Notice to Crypto.com last October. The notice indicated that the SEC was investigating Crypto.com for possible violation of federal securities laws. Notably, the agency usually recommends enforcement action against recipients of Wells Notices in most cases.

In response to the Wells Notice, Crypto.com almost immediately sued the SEC, arguing that the securities regulator overstepped its jurisdiction. However, the exchange dropped the lawsuit in December 2024 after President Donald Trump appointed Paul Atkins to replace Gary Gensler as SEC Chair.

Interestingly, the SEC has returned the favor by also closing its investigation into the exchange and not recommending any enforcement action.

CryptoCom Execs Issue Statements

Reacting to the development, Crypto.com’s Chief Legal Officer Nick Lundgren expressed relief over the decision. He slammed the previous SEC leadership for attempting to expand its congressional powers to harm the crypto industry.

Kris Marszalek, CEO at Crypto.com, also expressed excitement at the SEC’s latest decision. He commended the crypto industry for surviving the war orchestrated by the previous administration. Marszalek noted that this move was an attempt to stifle the industry by restricting crypto entities from accessing banking services.

“The fact that we not only persevered but became stronger is a testament to our vision and the community supporting it. Onwards!” Marszalek remarked.

SEC Ends Other Crypto Cases

Meanwhile, the SEC’s decision to end its investigation into Crypto.com comes after its internal closed-door meeting held yesterday at 2:00 p.m. (ET). As previously reported, the commission was expected to discuss enforcement proceedings and the institution and settlement of administrative and injunctive actions.

After the meeting, it officially announced the dismissal of litigation against top crypto entities like ConsenSys, Kraken, and Cumberland.

The SEC has yet to issue an official statement for other crypto-related litigation it has decided to dismiss, like the Ripple case. This delay is because SEC’s commissioners did not vote on whether to approve the dismissal as scheduled.

Top crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett suggested that the regulator would first ask Judge Analisa Torres to lift the injunction against Ripple’s institutional XRP sales before holding the vote.

Bitcoin Eyes Breakout Rally to $95k as Whales Stack 129k BTC

Bitcoin under $86k reflects increased price volatility. However, will the rising whales holding trigger a triangle breakout run to $95k?

Breaking below the $86,000 mark, Bitcoin is trading at a market price of $85,982. Over the past 24 hours, the biggest cryptocurrency in the market has taken a hit of 1.6%.

However, the ongoing inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, coupled with growing acceptance among top U.S. companies, signal a potential rally. Will this lead to a reclaiming of the $100,000 mark?

Whales Expand Bitcoin Holding By 129k BTC

Despite the volatility, crypto whales are increasing their Bitcoin holdings. According to Glassnode data, the change in the position of whales over the past 30 days reveals an addition of 129,000 BTC since March 11.

This marks one of the strongest accumulations by crypto whales since August 2024. With newfound confidence among the whales, a BTC price rally is likely to gain momentum.

Bitcoin Spot ETFs in a Fresh Inflow Cycle

Amid the rising whale holdings, U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded a total net inflow of $89.09 million on March 27. Out of the 12 registered Bitcoin ETFs, Fidelity saw an inflow of $97.14 million, while BlackRock recorded $3.97 million.

However, the $5.09 million outflow from Vision3 and the $6.95 million outflow from Invesco limited the total inflow, keeping it just under $90 million. Over the past 10 trading days, Bitcoin ETFs have experienced a continuous streak of inflows.

As this trend strengthens, rising institutional demand is expected to fuel the Bitcoin rally.

Bitcoin Price Nears Triangle Breakout, Eyes $95k

On the daily chart, Bitcoin’s price action shows a bearish turnaround within a symmetrical triangle pattern, testing the 61.80% Fibonacci level at $86,146. Currently, the pullback is finding support at the 100-EMA line, near $85,760.

Bitcoin Price Chart

Additionally, the declining trend has resulted in a bearish crossover in the MACD and signal lines, with a new streak of bearish histograms. However, Bitcoin has experienced lower price rejections from the 61.80% Fibonacci level twice in the past 48 hours.

This suggests the possibility of a bullish comeback that could push the price above the overhead trendline. If this happens, a bullish breakout rally is likely to reach the 78.60% Fibonacci level, close to the $95,000 mark.

On the flip side, a bearish continuation, compromising the bullish dominance at the support trendline, could test the 50% Fibonacci level, which is near the $80,000 mark.

GameStop to Start Accumulating Bitcoin

In the recent news of Bitcoin adoption, GameStop, the American video game retailer, announced an updated investment. GameStop revealed plans to add Bitcoin to its treasury reserve assets.

On March 27, GameStop announced the pricing of $1.3 billion worth of convertible senior notes as part of a private offering. The offering is intended to raise funds for Bitcoin purchases.

Priced at $1,000 per note, purchasers will receive a conversion rate of 33.4970 shares, representing a 35.14% premium to GameStop’s current stock price of $22.09.

Following GameStop’s initial announcement on March 25 about adding Bitcoin to its investment policy, GameStop’s share price surged by 11.65%, adding $1.65 billion to its market cap overnight.

US Government Moves 97.3 Bitcoin Worth $8.46M and 884.3 Ethereum from Reserve

0

The United States government has transferred millions of dollars’ worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum from its reserve, sparking curiosity among market participants.

Market intelligence platform Arkham identified this attention-grabbing Thursday transaction, which sparked speculation among market users. The shift happened specifically at 17:23 (UTC) involving Bitcoin and Ethereum, two assets mentioned in President Donald Trump’s recently created US Crypto Reserve.

US Government Shifts Funds

Arkham’s data shows that the on-chain wallet marked as the US government shifted 97.3 BTC, worth $8.46 million, to two new wallets. Further analysis shows that the funds came from the “Sae-Heng Confiscated Funds” marked government-controlled addresses.

For perspective, the US government confiscated the funds from Wanpadet Sae Heng after allegedly defrauding residents using a pig butchering scheme. US authorities seized the funds with Binance’s aid, impounding 97.3 BTC, 884.3 ETH, 2.56 million DOGE, and 85 million ADA.

Most recently, the wallet moved $10 (0.00011516 BTC) to the address “bc1qs0q,” with the unspent 97.33 BTC ($8.46 million) moved to a change wallet “bc1q7qf.”

Furthermore, the Sae-Heng-tagged US government address also transferred 88.43 ETH worth $1.77 million at 17:43 (UTC) the same day. Then funds were moved to address “0xBf7fb.”

Notably, the US government has been actively moving funds lately. Two weeks ago, the address moved 299 AVAX from funds linked to Brain Krewson.

Bitcoin Reserve Still Intact

Despite the shuffle, the US government still holds 198,012 BTC, worth a staggering $17.04 billion. This is still a significant amount for its Bitcoin reserve, which it plans to fund using “budget-neutral” means.

Moreover, the Bitcoin Act is still early, proposing to buy 1 million BTC over five years. Although Senator Bernie Moreno urged the US Congress to pass the proposal before August, its feasibility remains a huge concern.

Nonetheless, the United States remains the largest sovereign holder of BTC, followed closely by China. The Royal Government of Bhutan and El Salvador occupy the third and fourth positions with 8,971 BTC and 6,129 BTC, respectively.

Brandt Agrees As Wyckoff Analysis Targets Bitcoin Drop to $70,000

Amid the ongoing market uncertainty, Bitcoin might be at risk of dropping to new yearly lows, according to a Wyckoff analysis.

Renowned Netherlands-based cryptocurrency analyst HTL-NL has forecasted a potential decline in Bitcoin’s price to the $70,000 mark, according to a recent chart analysis.

Leveraging the Wyckoff Method, a framework for identifying market cycles through supply and demand, HTL-NL’s commentary calls attention to important patterns and structures that signal an impending correction for the leading cryptocurrency.

Wyckoff Analysis Shows Bitcoin is Currently Bearish

Data from the accompanying daily chart reveals that Bitcoin embarked on a robust uptrend, or markup phase, starting around $67,000 in late 2024. This phase began on the back of the November 2024 elections in the United States.

The upward trajectory pushed the price to a peak of $108,000 in December 2024, marking a 61% gain. Despite witnessing its buying climax (BC) at this level, which led to sharp declines, BTC recovered to reach a new peak above $109,000 during an upthrust (UP) in January 2025.

Bitcoin Wyckoff Analysis HTL-NL
Bitcoin Wyckoff Analysis | HTL-NL

Notably, in Wyckoff analysis, such an upthrust (UP) typically represents a false break above a major resistance. Accordingly, the chart indicates that Bitcoin has since entered a critical juncture, with the price pulling back to the $80,000 range at press time.

Following the upthrust, Bitcoin formed several Last Points of Supply (LPSY) as it retested previous support regions that acted as resistance on Jan. 30, Feb. 21, and March 2. Due to the LPSY and the formation of the Major SOW, data indicates BTC has entered the Bearish Phase D.

Bitcoin Forms Descending Trendline and Rising Wedge

One major structure in HTL-NL’s chart is the descending trendline that has formed since Bitcoin hit $109,000 during the upthrust. Notably, this bearish setup features lower highs along a downward-sloping resistance line.

Notably, amid the ongoing recovery effort that began in mid-March, Bitcoin formed another bearish structure in the form of a rising wedge as it pushed toward retesting the resistance at the downward trendline.

Moreover, the condition of the Stochastic Relative Strength Index (Stoch RSI) points to a bearish setup. For context, the K line recently dropped below the D line, indicating that the short-term momentum is currently weakening. This typically points to an imminent pullback.

This momentum oscillator suggests that Bitcoin’s rapid ascent has left it vulnerable to a correction, particularly as it struggles to break through the resistance line. A failure to surpass this barrier will likely drive the price down to the $70,000 support zone, representing a new yearly low which BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes had projected.

Other Market Veterans Agree

Responding to the recent analysis, veteran commodities trader Peter Brandt stressed that the projection seems logical.

According to Brandt, a prediction of a Bitcoin drop is not an “unreasonable expectation,” given the current market conditions. Earlier this month, Brandt had confirmed that Bitcoin’s chart was bearish following the formation of a double top pattern.

Meanwhile, in a more simplified analysis, market veteran Benjamin Cowen, founder of Into The Cryptoverse, also suggested a potential Bitcoin drop. He called attention to a potential death cross on the daily chart where the 50-day MA moves below the 200-day MA.

Potential Bitcoin Bearish Cross Benjamin Cowen
Potential Bitcoin Bearish Cross | Benjamin Cowen

According to Cowen, BTC typically forms local lows whenever a death cross emerges. Currently, Bitcoin changes hands at $86,000, down 1.42% over the past 24 hours. Despite the bearish outlook, the asset maintains 2% weekly gain.

Gemini Introduces 4% XRP Cashback Rewards for Its Credit Card Users

0

Gemini crypto exchange announces a special offer that allows users of its credit card to earn up to 4% cashback rewards in XRP anytime they make purchases.

Tyler Winklevoss, the co-founder of Gemini, recently took to X to call on the broader XRP community to take advantage of the special offer. This initiative allows users to earn XRP cashback rewards whenever they swipe their Gemini Credit Card for purchases.

Recall that Gemini launched its rewards credit card in 2022 following a partnership with Mastercard the previous year. Besides functioning as a traditional Mastercard, the credit card also offers crypto cashback on purchases.

The cashback reward initiative supports Bitcoin, XRP, and over 50 other cryptocurrencies. Notably, Gemini Credit Card users can choose XRP as the asset they want to earn back whenever they make purchases at any Mastercard-powered merchant.

It bears mentioning that Gemini initially supported XRP for the cashback program in August 2023. Tyler’s announcement appears to be a reminder to the XRP community members that they can still earn XRP cashback rewards when they use the Gemini Credit Card to make purchases.

How to Participate

To participate, users must first check whether they qualify for the offer. Qualification is based on users’ credit scores. Once they do, users can apply for the credit card and potentially secure approval by June 30, 2025.

Once qualified, new cardholders will earn up to $200 cashback rewards in XRP when they spend a minimum of $3,000 within the first 90 days (or 3 months).

Gemini deposits the XRP rewards directly into users’ trading accounts, allowing them to benefit from the asset’s potential price appreciation.

Rewards Category

The crypto exchange offers different reward categories based on credit card usage.

Users can earn 4% back in XRP when they purchase gas at the pump and EV charging, with this offer available on up to $200 in monthly spending.

Upon reaching the $200 monthly threshold, users will earn 1% back in XRP on other gas purchases at the pump and EV charging stations within the month. Gemini offers 3% XRP cashback on their dining expenses, 2% on grocery shopping, and 1% on other purchases.

Besides Gemini, several exchanges, including Uphold, WhiteBIT, and Bit2Me, have also launched similar initiatives for XRP in the past.

This development underscores XRP’s growing utility. It also drives XRP’s adoption, as more people can easily receive XRP back on their everyday purchases.
