‘Ask the Doctor’ Bringing “STEPS” App With A Unique Burn Mechanism That Will Burn Shiba Inu As Users Burn Calories

0

‘Ask The Doctor’ the Canadian health care company is heavily supporting Shiba Inu (SHIB) community and in return, the fitness company is also getting massive exposure to shib community.

Ask The Doctor is launching its latest app “STEPS”, with a mission to add a unique burn mechanism for Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens. As ‘Steps’ users will burn calories, the health-related company will burn a set number (TBD) of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens on every 10,000 steps a user completes.

Recently the company formerly accepted Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a form of payment by saying:

“SHIB don’t need ‘Ask the Doctor’ but Ask the Doctor needs SHIB.”  And urged Robinhood to do the same because Robinhood needs Shiba and Not Shin needs Robinhood.

Only 10% Of Bitcoin Left To Be Mined

After almost 13 years since Bitcoin was born, there are only 10% of Bitcoins left to be mined.

Data from Blockchain.com reveals Bitcoin in circulation hit 18.899 million as of Monday, meaning only 10% of the total supply is left to mine.

Bitcoin mining is the name of the activity that generates new BTC. For each valid Block generated and added to the Bitcoin network, the miners get a reward Along with mining rewards, transactions when processed and validated by the miners then transactions fees are also passed to the miners as a reward. Currently, each valid block added to the Bitcoin network generates 6.25 BTC of rewards plus fees.

Every four year Bitcoin Halving occurs that half miners rewards. In May 2020 Bitcoin halving occurred that reduced miners’ rewards to 6.25 BTC per block which was previously 12.5 BTC per block.

Only 10% of all Bitcoins left to be mined

This Monday, 90% of all Bitcoins have been mined. When Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin he defined the rules in the Bitcoin code that are immutable. BTC cannot be created beyond the total supply (21 million coins) unless there is a consensus among miners, nodes, programmers, and the global currency community to alter BTC supply.

Bitcoin reaches 90% of mined coins, with 18,899,794 BTC already issued. The Bitcoin total supply is 21 million, which gives many people the feeling that “Bitcoin mining is already running out”.

Calm down, it’s not like that. When it comes to Bitcoin mining, the mechanism left by Satoshi called halving reveals that miners’ rewards are halved on average every four years. In other words, in 2024 another cut in rewards will happen, making each block have only 3.12 BTC of reward. And this is exactly the magic that will make the 10% of Bitcoins that are left to be mined take much longer than the first 90%. Bitcoin is about to complete 13 years of its creation (January 3, 2009), but the calculations are that the last BTC coin will be mined in 2140.

In other words, 119 years from now the Bitcoin network will mine the last currency, after that miner’s rewards will only depend on transaction fees.

UK Government Communications Headquarters Head Fears Digital Yuan Will Badly Impact World’s Monetary System

0

Jeremy Fleming, head of the UK Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), fears that the China Digital Yuan could be used to collect user information, control international transactions, and will have negative effects on the International monetary system.

Jeremy Fleming, head of GCHQ, an intelligence and security organization responsible for providing signals intelligence and information assurance to the government and armed forces of the United Kingdom is concerned about the rapid development of the digital Yuan.

Fleming believes that if the digital currency of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) is used in other countries, it could have a bad effect on the entire world’s monetary system.

Fleming mentioned the China intention to test the state stable coin (Digital Yuan) during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics means that the China central bank digital currency (CBDC) will become available not only to local residents but also to foreign tourists along with athletes. Olympics participants from all over the world would be able to install a digital yuan wallet that can be used to pay for goods and services during the event.

Fleming believes that in its current form, China’s digital currency can be used to collect user data, as well as to control cross-border transactions. The GCHQ executive is alarmed by the rapid pace of development and testing of the digital yuan in recent years.

According to him, some central banks are still at the stage of exploring the possibilities of their own digital currency, other central banks have already launched it, but no country has yet developed a more advanced pilot digital currency project, except China. Therefore, Fleming said that a more cautious approach is needed when using the digital yuan due to the lack of clear regulatory rules governing the functioning of central bank digital currencies at the international level.

“China is making a hidden march. We are talking about large investments in the digital yuan, which are made both openly and secretly. China is starting to make a real impact on the tech and digital industries. We have to decide how to react to all of this. ”said Fleming.

Recall that in July, US senators expressed similar concerns and demanded that the US Olympic Committee should ban the use of the digital yuan by US players at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

BBVA Switzerland Becomes First Traditional Financial Institutions In Europe To Add Support For Ethereum

0

The Swiss subsidiary of one of the largest banks in Spain, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), has included Ethereum in the list of supported assets.

According to the official announcement by the bank, it became the first among traditional financial institutions in Europe to add the second-largest cryptocurrency market capitalization, ETH to its product line.

CEO Alfonso Gomez of BBVA Switzerland said the move is dictated by the desire of investors to diversify their portfolios.

“We decided to add ether to our crypto-asset ‘wallet’ because, together with bitcoin, they are the protocols that spark the most interest among investors, while also offering all the guarantees to comply with the regulation.”

BBVA Switzerland’s crypto-asset service, which became operational for all customers last June started with Bitcoin. It is a new digital asset custody service that has been well-received among private banking customers and new investors who opt to personally manage their portfolios since its commercial launch. BBVA is offering this new service in Switzerland, with clear regulation and a high level of adoption of these digital assets (BTC and ETH).

In September, the Swiss Financial Market Supervision Authority approved the first crypto fund in accordance with the country’s legislation.

South Korea To Use Blockchain-Based Facial Recognition System To Combat COVID-19

0

Authorities in Bucheon, South Korea, will test a Blockchain-based facial recognition system to track the movement of people infected with the coronavirus. The project will be launched in January 2022, writes Reuters.

The nationally sponsored task in Bucheon, one of the country’s most densely populated cities on the outskirts of Seoul, according to the plan, the system will use artificial intelligence algorithms and facial recognition technology to analyze videos collected by more than 10,820 CCTV cameras. The program can also track the movements of an infected person, his contacts, and the use of a mask.

According to a Bucheon administration, the system will reduce the burden on tracking teams in a city of more than 800,000 people. The program can simultaneously track up to ten people and reduce the search time from one hour to 5-10 minutes.

“It sometimes takes hours to analyze a single CCTV footage. Using visual recognition technology will enable that analysis in an instant,” said Mayor Chan Deogcheon during the bidding process for funding the project.

The Ministry of Science and Information Technology said that the department currently has no plans to expand the system to the national level. The city received 1.6 billion won ($1.36 million) from the Ministry of Science and Information Technology for the deployment of the system. Also, the Bucheon government has allocated 500 million won ($422,000) from the local budget.

Some South Korean lawmakers are concerned that the government will retain and continue to use such data after the pandemic.

“The government’s plan to become a Big Brother on the pretext of COVID is a neo-totalitarian idea, It is absolutely wrong to monitor and control the public via CCTV using taxpayers’ money and without the consent from the public,” said Park Dae Chul, an opposition parliamentary deputy in the lower house of parliament.

The Bucheon administrators told that there are no privacy problems because the system puts a mosaic over the faces of anyone who is not a subject.

In October, the Ukrainian authorities announced their intention to use cameras with a mask recognition function in the largest shopping centers in the country.

In July, authorities in the Chinese city of Ruili linked facial recognition technology with citizens’ personal health codes to combat the spread of coronavirus infection.

Is Ripple Time As A Major Asset Coming To An End? Or Are Whales Still Accumulating XRP?

Ripple (XRP) remains far off from its 2017 all-time high. On 4th December, it fell down to $0.60 so the question is, Is XRP’s time as a major asset coming to an end?

According to recent Santiment statistics, XRP smart whales have continued their year-long accumulation trend. ‘Smart Whales’ are basically an institutional-level investor class and these are addresses that hold 1 million to 10 million XRP tokens.

These XRP whales have increased their XRP holdings by 6% over the past 3 months. It’s important to note that the value of XRP has dropped nearly 40% in those three months.

Satimetns writes:

“XRPNetwork is currently sitting at about $0.81, but smart money whale millionaires have kept up their one-year trend of accumulating more supply. Addresses with 1M to 10M XRP hold 3.31B, including a 6% increase to their holdings in the past 3 months.”

XRP Active Addresses

While the value of XRP may decline, the number of active XRp addresses has increased over the past few months. This means that transactional activity remains very high on average, but the price does not yet reflect its growth.

XRP’s MVRV ratio

At this point, XRP’s Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) ratio is also providing an engaging picture. A 30-day to 365-day MVRV ratio indicates a buying opportunity as both indicators are negative at the time of writing. A negative MVRV ratio means that the price of the token should rise from here since its realized value does not match the market transaction value.

xrp mvrp ratio

Is the XRP becoming a market follower?

Not exactly, but the XRP has become more reactive to the bearish momentum. There is no demand for the asset from new crypto investors as fresh capital is moving to assets like Solana, Cardano, Shiba Inu, etc.
